00:00:00.000 what up guys welcome to the just pearly things youtube channel and welcome to the sit down where

00:00:05.900 i bring on content creators from all different walks of life to talk about political and social

00:00:11.500 commentary today i'm so excited i'm like this is the most excited i've ever been we have scott

00:00:17.700 adams here for an interview and this is especially exciting for me because i used to watch you every

00:00:22.480 day in a normal way like online that's good to know i never know who's watching me or how but

00:00:29.760 i'm glad it's the good way welcome to the show so scott adams does these awesome social and political

00:00:37.260 commentary you you are an author as well i just bought your book so for how did you get into this

00:00:42.940 space like originally you did comics right well it started with yeah bilber comics but i always saw

00:00:49.080 myself as more of an entrepreneur than a artist and so my background is i have an mba degree in

00:00:56.300 economics a lot of business experience before i did cartooning so cartooning was just one of the

00:01:01.940 things i tried and of lots of different things so i never really stopped trying stuff so at one point

00:01:08.640 i had a young stepson who i thought wouldn't it be good if i had some way to you know transfer all of

00:01:16.100 my knowledge you know the things that it took me years to learn what if what if he got them early

00:01:20.440 you know what what an advantage that would be so i wrote my book kind of failed almost everything

00:01:25.060 and still went big and that was big yet um it's probably the most influential book in the personal

00:01:32.760 success category a lot of other books use the ideas systems better than goals and talent stacks

00:01:38.640 that sort of thing and it did so well that uh my publisher said you got any more books in you and i

00:01:44.980 wrote one about persuasion and uh my latest one is reframe your brain it's had actually

00:01:50.560 tune your brain um i'm a i'm a hypnotist by training as well so when in my 20s i learned to be a hypnotist

00:01:59.480 and so uh i'm kind of always living in that world of reframes you know what's what set of words can you

00:02:07.240 put on something to change how people act and feel about it so i put together all the best ones and

00:02:13.280 they're the ones that will change your life reframe your brain can you explain the reframe part yeah

00:02:19.680 so reframe is just a simple sentence that makes you think about a familiar thing in a different way

00:02:26.440 that makes you break through or you know make you makes you happier more successful so i'll give you

00:02:31.000 some examples um the first one was kind of accidental i told people that i often tell myself that alcohol

00:02:38.420 is poison and it's because i was trying to cut down on my casual you know weekend drinking sort

00:02:45.160 of thing and it completely stopped it and then when i mentioned that uh in public other people

00:02:51.860 eventually got back to me and said hey i quit drinking too because i heard you say alcohol is

00:02:56.880 poison and i thought really it can't be that easy we're not talking about alcoholics we're just

00:03:03.540 talking about people who wanted to you know not have alcohol in their life and that i'd heard from

00:03:08.500 more people and i just kept hearing from people and they would say the same thing that one sentence

00:03:14.260 changed my life alcohol is poison now the reason that works is that our brains are not just rational

00:03:21.040 machines cartoonists are not hypnotists learn that people are irrational 90 of the time

00:03:27.920 and only once in a while are we rational when things don't matter we know when the stakes are low

00:03:33.200 we can be rational but mostly we're irrational and then we rationalize it after the fact so once you

00:03:40.020 realize that then you can build reframes that are themselves irrational but so is your brain so if

00:03:47.260 you put this little irrational code into your head it can sometimes optimize it so the irrational part

00:03:54.080 about alcohol is poison is that it's not really but it sort of is so your brain kind of accepts it even

00:04:02.400 knowing that you could easily call it a beverage but the trick here is that our brains are like

00:04:08.560 the same way that ai works so ai works by looking at the the arrangement of words that have ever been

00:04:15.120 spoken or written and then just predicting what happens next in a given situation based on word patterns

00:04:21.920 so word patterns alone create something called intelligence or something we recognize as

00:04:27.120 intelligence so you can do the same thing with your own brain you can just change the word patterns

00:04:32.720 that are in your head and that in turn changes effectively changes your intelligence and that

00:04:38.480 changes what you do so simply pairing alcohol with poison is irrational but your brain says oh poison

00:04:45.840 run away if you if you paired alcohol with beverage or entertainment your brain would say oh beverage

00:04:54.240 i'm thirsty or oh entertainment that's always good so it's simply just pairing the word with a negative

00:05:00.160 was enough now that was the one that sort of got me going but i came up with 160 and everything from

00:05:06.960 success to your personal life wait so how do i quit sugar i have to be like sugar's poison i've been trying

00:05:13.120 to do that for years like rather unsuccessfully well well you're you're more uh on point than you

00:05:19.360 could imagine there because there actually is a book called sugar is poison now i learned about it after

00:05:25.680 after i did the alcohol reframe i found that some years ago somebody had created basically the same trick

00:05:32.000 but with sugar now i don't need sugar but um or not not enough to quit so i haven't used that one

00:05:38.320 um but i have other reframes that that would help you quit sugar a different way like what well my

00:05:45.040 biggest reframe for diet is that you don't want to challenge yourself in every way all at once because

00:05:51.280 we're we're a little too weak for that so you don't want to deny your favorite tastes at the same time

00:05:57.440 you're denying the quantity that would fill you up those are two different urges sometimes you just want

00:06:02.560 the taste sometimes you're just hungry so what i do is say break those up and only work on the taste

00:06:09.520 and only work on one item at a time for example i had a terrible problem eating these giant snickers

00:06:16.240 bars sometimes three a day just the worst thing you could do it's kind of slipped into it because i like

00:06:21.760 one and then i think well i had one but it was so much earlier today i could have another and then later

00:06:27.200 i'm just hungry i want the taste so i found that if i just get rid of one thing allow myself to eat

00:06:33.360 as much as i want of everything else i eventually lose the craving and then it's easy so it takes

00:06:39.600 about two months to lose a craving and then i just pick the next thing go okay my next thing is i eat

00:06:45.360 too much bread i'll eat as much as i want of anything else so i'll never be hungry but i just won't eat

00:06:51.200 bread and then i'm not even thinking about snickers because i've already removed the cravings

00:06:56.160 so one at a time and you never have anything like suffering every day eat as much as you want of

00:07:01.680 good food things that taste good and eventually you get to the point where sugar just doesn't

00:07:07.040 feel like something you'd want to put in your body and i did the same thing with diet coke

00:07:13.040 probably i don't know 20 years of drinking maybe 12 diet cokes a day oh my gosh my dad does the same

00:07:20.800 thing he does the same thing i eventually went cold turkey but i could only do it because it was the

00:07:28.080 only thing i was removing from my life so i could get my dopamine and everything else other ways and

00:07:33.600 eventually about two months it turned into from the most delicious addictive substance i've ever had

00:07:41.200 the pleasure of enjoying to why would i put like a weird little chemical in my body but my brain just did

00:07:48.160 that on its own so now when i look at diet coke i think why why why would i want to put chemicals in

00:07:55.520 my body i don't even know this doesn't make sense so the urges go away and then your brain just

00:07:59.760 reprograms and sees it the way it should have been seen you also taught me talent stacking i learned i

00:08:05.280 did i actually didn't remember where i got that from until you said it right that's like you you said

00:08:09.920 that was what trump did right yeah well a lot of people who were successful so talent stacking

00:08:15.440 that was my first book had a failed almost everything and still went big but i included

00:08:20.000 it in reframe your brain because it was the one that one of the two that people picked out and said

00:08:25.600 this changed my life everything's different i got two promotions because it's the idea that

00:08:31.200 when i was a kid my mother would say make it whatever you do you can do anything you want

00:08:37.200 but whatever you do make sure you're the best at it you know that's how you succeed you got to be the

00:08:40.960 best at that thing you're doing but later i realized that what worked better is just being

00:08:46.240 pretty good at a bunch of things that work well together so my career is the perfect example um

00:08:53.120 i'm not a good artist but i'm good enough that i can draw a picture and you know what's happening

00:08:58.720 i'm not the funniest person even in a room if i if i throw a party i'm not even the funniest person

00:09:04.080 in the room of people i i invited so i'm not the funniest i don't draw the best but it's very rare

00:09:10.480 to find people who can draw a little bit and are also funny and then on top of that i have business

00:09:16.160 experience so i had a domain that i could always pick from that you know people would recognize so

00:09:22.160 you add those things together plus my business experience which i think probably was half of my

00:09:27.040 success now i got to navigate cartooning as a business because really i think dilborough is the

00:09:32.640 biggest comic in 35 years maybe you know since the heyday of comics the biggest comic has gotten

00:09:41.040 smaller you know peanuts was gigantic garfield almost as big but uh so it really was a combination of

00:09:48.720 just being pretty good at a bunch of things that really fit together that gave you the idea

00:09:54.080 for the talent stack that you start with whatever you're naturally good at and you'd like to do for the

00:09:59.440 rest of your life and you say well what can i add to that well what if what if i learned to be a

00:10:04.160 speaker well then i could be the boss what if i learned to be a speaker but i also learned the

00:10:10.000 the engineering and technology and lighting to be a podcaster oh now you're a podcaster so every time

00:10:16.480 you add a skill the number of opportunities doesn't just increase by one it probably increases by some

00:10:22.400 multiple and that's worked really well for a lot of people you mentioned trump he's obviously somebody

00:10:28.800 with a whole bunch of different skills from persuasion to business to politics uh you name

00:10:34.320 it he's just got a bunch of things that work really well together well because you were one of

00:10:37.920 the first ones to predict that he'd win right yeah 2015 yeah i was uh i think uh ann coulter was

00:10:47.120 there early for different reasons i think she just thought he was going to be right on immigration

00:10:51.120 and that that would that would sort of put him over the top and she she was largely right about

00:10:56.080 that uh but what i saw was he had a a stack of persuasion talents that people who don't study the

00:11:03.440 field wouldn't recognize for example he's always making you think in visual terms he uses fear a lot

00:11:10.480 fear is the number one persuader you have to you have to you know save yourself before you can even

00:11:16.320 think of anything else so he tells you that there's you know criminals coming across the border and

00:11:20.880 china is going to eat your lunch and there's all kinds of things to be afraid of but then he also 1.00

00:11:25.600 does the visual stuff like we're going to build a wall it's going to be a big beautiful wall with a

00:11:30.880 with a door and then then he also does my favorite thing he does is he makes you think past

00:11:35.840 the sale a classic salesperson technique so he doesn't just say i want to build a wall

00:11:41.920 because that would make you think about the decision to build a wall he says i'm going to

00:11:47.760 build a big beautiful wall it's going to have a door in it so already you're thinking past the

00:11:52.560 building the wall to how do you build it and then he says mexico is going to pay for it and your head

00:11:57.520 explodes you're like what i don't think you can get mexico to pay for it but if that's what you're

00:12:02.640 talking about you've also you've uncritically accepted the possibility that there will be a wall

00:12:08.960 that needs to be paid for and he does this again and again and again and then you you add to it his

00:12:15.680 his genius with nicknames you know oh he's so good at it yeah low energy jeb just took jeb completely

00:12:24.160 out of politics with with one nickname that was all it took yeah and then crooked hillary too 1.00

00:12:31.600 crooked hillary is another example of why he's so good at it he picks things that maybe you were already

00:12:38.000 thinking or at the very least the future news would confirm this is actually his best trick

00:12:43.840 he gives a nickname that he could be confident the future will create situations that fit the nickname

00:12:50.080 so when he said that hillary was crooked in the context of a national election you know both sides

00:12:56.480 are going to accuse each other of being crooks that's just sort of basic so you knew she would 0.84

00:13:01.680 be accused of things that fit the fit the nickname which would make the nickname stickier which would make

00:13:07.520 the accusation stickier it's just it's just genius to have a nickname that is going to get stronger

00:13:14.560 by events you know will happen in the future and then uh low energy jeb was the same thing uh when i

00:13:20.800 when i would see jeb i would think wow there's a cool executive he doesn't get too you know hot about

00:13:27.600 anything he just he just has you know a good consistent kind of personality but the moment

00:13:34.640 you heard he was low energy the moment you heard it he's done never again he was he just didn't have

00:13:42.880 the energy to you know walk across the room after that that's the only way you can see him and the day

00:13:48.000 i heard it i said in public that's the end you'll never see jeb again he's done and it was it was the end

00:13:53.840 of him well that's what i liked about because it's funny you probably get this too when you become

00:13:58.880 like a youtuber you stop listening to other people as much because you're the one talking about it you

00:14:04.400 know but but back when um because i remember i listened to you a lot um i think it was either

00:14:10.320 before or after the trump election i was like working in copier sales i hated my life every day i'd put

00:14:15.760 you on my way to work and what i loved about you is you were very like unemotional with it and you

00:14:20.640 were very much just like analyzing their strategies and you had such like a sales background i just

00:14:25.920 thought it was such an interesting i'd never heard it before yeah well i don't have a sales background

00:14:31.200 background per se what i have is persuasion background yeah but sales would be a subset of

00:14:35.840 persuasion yes how did you find working as a hypnotist did you um like do you believe in that stuff like

00:14:42.880 where they're on the stages because i had someone try to hypnotize me once and they sent me off the stage

00:14:49.360 because i like wouldn't do anything you know what i mean well they said you're off the stage well

00:14:53.440 stage hypnosis is very different from one-on-one so stage hypnosis is part of magic trick and part

00:15:00.640 actual hypnosis and the the magic trick part of it is that the audience imagines it could have happened

00:15:06.640 to them as they're watching the people who are on stage and the truth is it couldn't so most people are

00:15:12.800 like you so 80 of the public cannot have the deep hypnotic experience of you know feeling things that

00:15:19.760 are not there or seeing things that are not there uh so the hypnotist on the stage is first trying to

00:15:26.160 figure out who are the most hypnotizable they can usually do that before they even call you up

00:15:31.360 so they'll do something like a classic one is put your hands together now imagine you can't pull them

00:15:37.040 apart now they're really stuck together now try to pull them apart now try and he'll watch the audience

00:15:43.440 most of the people will just go their hands will come apart like what i i don't even know why that

00:15:49.440 would have worked like they don't even have any concept of why that would have made any difference at

00:15:53.360 all but a few people and maybe only five people have a hundred are going to have something more like this

00:16:00.640 it'll hesitate before it comes apart the hypnotist focuses on them it's all right all right you you

00:16:08.400 you come up here and then we'll try a further a further suggestion to see if he chose correctly

00:16:15.120 so you must have had to tell or maybe you volunteered in the audience yeah i was like i want to go

00:16:24.240 well uh then i would say maybe there was something wrong with his act

00:16:28.640 because if he took volunteers he wasn't doing it right

00:16:33.520 he should have started with people he's pre-selected right that had a sort of tell for

00:16:38.480 hypnosis but to answer your question hypnosis is very real it's just that uh different people

00:16:43.680 could have different outcomes so the 100 of people can be hypnotized because 100 of people can

00:16:51.680 be influenced by marketing uh a better salesperson can sell to them they can be persuaded

00:16:57.840 in a variety of ways and so if you're just trying to persuade somebody to be let's say less afraid

00:17:04.240 of flying that would work on almost everybody but some people would give faster results than others

00:17:10.320 oh are women more easily hypnotized 0.80

00:17:16.720 uh there is you can say it it's all right no the answer is no the answer is no are you sure

00:17:23.600 yeah there's no difference by gender um you know ethnicity uh intelligence people often think oh the

00:17:30.960 smart people can't be hypnotized it's closer to the opposite not confident smart people can will buy

00:17:38.640 into it and and they'll basically say all right do what you will because i feel confident you know

00:17:43.200 like i'm not afraid those people tend to be easy because they're not resisting uh somebody who's afraid of

00:17:49.600 it would be hard to hypnotize because they think oh you're going to take over my mind at any minute i'll

00:17:54.800 become a puppet it doesn't work i was thinking that a little bit i was like i don't want to be

00:18:00.560 with hypnosis you can't get people to do things that they wouldn't normally do because they're still

00:18:05.200 awake they're still aware and they still have full control that the way i describe being hypnotized

00:18:12.800 is like um it's like taking a driver's lesson so the driver's coach is you know sitting in the

00:18:21.200 passenger seat and the the driver instructor is saying you know do this do this and you're doing

00:18:25.760 it because the instructor says so but you have the full ability to take a left turn that the the

00:18:32.480 instructor doesn't want you to take so you have all of all of your abilities you're just choosing to

00:18:37.920 listen to the other voice but you know you're doing it while you're doing it now the reason that

00:18:42.400 people do it is that they're achieving something they want to achieve so if you want to uh be more

00:18:48.400 relaxed in a certain situation let's say not get nervous during a tennis match you want that and

00:18:54.000 there's no part of you that doesn't want it so you'll you'll go along with the process you'll

00:18:58.320 visualize it until you're not nervous the the the ones that don't work is where people really don't

00:19:05.360 want the change fully so somebody who wants to lose weight will come in and say hey could you

00:19:10.880 hypnotize me to lose weight and i'll say something like are you willing to stop eating no that's what i

00:19:16.880 want you to make me do i want i want you to make me willing to stop eating that doesn't work

00:19:23.920 i was hoping we could yeah yeah i can't make you want something you don't want but if you do want 0.96

00:19:30.000 it i can help you get it right so what's your if someone okay let's say someone is an absolute loser 0.99

00:19:36.960 like a fat broke loser what what's your 0.98

00:19:39.440 well we got to start somewhere right which i mean statistically i mean like 70 percent of americans 0.99

00:19:48.480 are fat so it wouldn't even be you know so like what would be your advice to like where they would

00:19:55.520 start to reframe their brain well you know jordan peterson famously says if you don't know where to

00:20:00.960 start clean your room and if you don't understand the the reasoning behind that it sounds too simplistic

00:20:07.920 but i have a version of that which is do something right the the universe rewards action and it rewards

00:20:15.360 it directly by making you feel good when you complete the action that's your little dopamine hit

00:20:21.200 but it just makes you feel good like you're you're heading somewhere like you've got some vision of where

00:20:26.080 you're going so those two things are important but i would tell somebody to work on their fitness first

00:20:31.760 i would say all right what can you control well you can totally control do you go to the gym

00:20:37.920 you can totally control you know your options about food and by the way one of my reframes is that uh

00:20:45.600 you should reframe diet away from self-control because and you know that doesn't really exist

00:20:52.000 it's sort of an illusion and toward knowledge the more you know about diet and how things work the

00:20:58.240 easier it is to lose weight so uh that's that's a useful reframe i found that the people who know the

00:21:04.240 most about the food they're eating uh weigh the least it's very it's very observable you can go to

00:21:11.280 you can go to dinner with eight people and look what they ordered and look at their plates and without

00:21:17.040 looking at them i could tell you their weights like i can just look at their food and say well

00:21:23.120 if that's what you thought was the food that sustains you you're going to be 40 pounds overweight

00:21:28.960 there's just no way around it and i look at the food next to me and i go okay if that's how you eat

00:21:34.080 you're going to be right on point probably for your whole life so it's about knowledge more than

00:21:40.480 willpower willpower is sort of an imaginary thing what was the question oh what do i do to get somebody

00:21:45.360 going i first get them to control all the controllables fitness and exercise then i'd 0.74

00:21:52.800 probably get them to try to build a talent stack and to build a talent stack they would need to have

00:21:59.200 a system as opposed to a goal now a system is something you do every day and it's leading you

00:22:05.600 toward a variety of outcomes not just one specific one if you had a goal you're going at one specific

00:22:11.760 goal but a system makes you better at all things so being uh more fit makes you better at relationships

00:22:20.320 better at getting jobs because we're all influenced by the same stuff uh so it's it's a system because

00:22:26.560 it's not a specific outcome of a job or dating a person it just gives you access to all of it

00:22:33.600 so develop systems that give you the most options make sure one of those systems involves building

00:22:39.680 skills that are compatible that work well together and then control everything that can be controlled

00:22:46.160 you know how many people you meet what toxic people are in your life uh your fitness your your diet

00:22:53.200 that's where i'd start what do you mean self-control doesn't exist free will doesn't exist it's an

00:22:58.880 illusion so this is something hypnotist learned this early that the things we think are our conscious

00:23:05.760 choices are actually uh activated that brain part of the brain doesn't even activate until the choice

00:23:11.120 is made and science has been proving this for decades every time they look for it they're looking for free

00:23:16.640 will and they can't find it because there's no part of the brain that is free from the rules of physics

00:23:23.520 so the fast way to say it for the nerds is that the rule of physics do not stop at your skull

00:23:30.160 everything outside your skull is purely by the laws of physics if i drop the pen

00:23:35.840 it doesn't have an option of going up every every particle in your brain all the chemistry in your

00:23:41.920 brain the structure of your brain it can't do two different things in one specific situation every

00:23:49.760 situation although we can't predict it because there's too much complexity but your brain doesn't

00:23:55.760 have the option of sometimes doing something else it's going to do exactly the same thing every time

00:24:01.760 it's in that exact situation so there's no real free will there's no room for it can i have an example

00:24:07.280 an example would be anything so you decide uh to drive to the store your brain could have only made

00:24:16.720 that decision it did it didn't have the option of doing anything else you have the feeling you have the

00:24:22.400 option and you have the feeling that you could have decided differently but those feelings come

00:24:27.760 after the fact you were you were going to go to the store like okay because i was an athlete i played

00:24:32.160 volley i played volleyball in england now and um you could see really clearly over time in sports 0.97

00:24:38.560 like the chicks that worked harder and chicks that didn't because they would just start to suck 1.00

00:24:42.720 you know but so how does so because i would think like the chicks don't have the self-control to 1.00

00:24:47.840 like lift or go to practice or like how is it not you know no all that stuff is labels you put on it

00:24:54.560 after the fact so if you drop me into any situation you know just drop me on an island i would try to

00:25:01.920 own the island it's just baked into my personality i would try to be in control of the island if i could

00:25:08.320 okay now if you drop somebody else on the island they might be lazy and they'd say well i'll just eat

00:25:13.360 berries and get by so it might look like a choice it might look like i chose to conquer the island

00:25:22.240 and someone else chose to eat berries and sit on the beach but we are who we are i couldn't choose

00:25:28.560 the other thing i mean i could in the common way we use language i could i could walk over there and

00:25:36.160 eat a berry and sit on the beach but my personality isn't that so i couldn't i didn't have that option oh so

00:25:42.560 you're saying like people have certain personality traits and therefore they're just going to make

00:25:48.320 a choice based on their personality yeah and i'm going even deeper than personality trait i'm saying

00:25:54.240 that the actual physical structure of your brain the actual folds of your brain and the way the neurons

00:26:02.400 are associated is only one way right so you have a certain set of experiences which are now part of

00:26:09.920 your brain structure because all your experiences physically change your brain but once it's

00:26:14.720 physically changed that's what you're working with it it doesn't get to be a lawnmower here's a better

00:26:19.680 way to say it okay if you think of your brain as just a moist machine basically uh it's easier to

00:26:26.480 imagine a lawnmower if if the lawnmower is perfectly functional and it has gas in it and you start it

00:26:33.920 does it have the option of not turning on the answer is no but you don't either your brain is

00:26:42.080 going to do what it does because of the condition it's in and then whatever you know inputs uh hit

00:26:47.920 it from that point on but then is it wouldn't self-control be like you switch the conditions or

00:26:53.600 whatever self-control is imaginary you were you were going to do what you were going to do

00:26:58.240 i should have said that to my dad when i totaled my car at 16 dad i was going to do what i was going

00:27:04.000 to do you know well you know the the problem is that if we treated reality the way it should be

00:27:11.680 treated which is that we don't have choice you would have to get rid of the entire uh you know 0.96

00:27:16.800 department of justice because we'd say well he robbed a store but what choice did he have

00:27:22.320 and then somebody else would rob a store because that would create a new set of physical incentives

00:27:28.240 that would make people who would not have ordinarily robbed a store rob a store so we have to pretend

00:27:33.680 that people have free will so that we have a system that works if if we were realistic and said you know

00:27:41.600 there's nothing you can do about it people are people then there would be chaos and everything

00:27:46.320 would fall apart so instead we we pretend that people can resist but the only reason they resist is

00:27:52.880 we scare them into you know not making those choices by fear really you'll go to jail if you do

00:27:59.200 this okay so you're saying we should make policies with like the idea that people don't have self-control

00:28:06.640 that we i'm saying that the way we do it is irrational but only an irrational solution will work

00:28:15.440 you know in the same way that alcohol is poison is not rational but it works

00:28:21.040 if we say you have to you know obey the law and if you don't we're going to put you in jail

00:28:26.400 that does reduce the number of people who break laws but the person who didn't have a choice is sort

00:28:32.240 of the you know the one who pays the cost for that uh order because they were going to do what they

00:28:37.200 were going to do uh i i had a uh stepson who there wasn't any amount of uh let's say coaching or or

00:28:48.960 parenting that would change anything he did ever and that's one of those things where you could

00:28:54.080 really see it clearly like even when he would agree that one set of you know behaviors would be better

00:29:00.640 for him even for him he wouldn't do that either so there's some people's personalities that are just so

00:29:07.360 hard-coded uh it's a little bit more obvious that they don't have free will but uh it applies to the

00:29:13.840 rest of us we we have no more or less free will than than that example okay i kind of get it but

00:29:20.560 only sorted all right um okay so but would that go back to like so i talk a lot about like the divorce

00:29:29.920 incentives in society so would you argue that that they don't have free will it's just like because

00:29:37.040 they're paid to leave well you know i used to say follow the money and that would explain everything

00:29:43.440 but i've just recently updated that to follow the dopamine and that allows that money is just a way

00:29:49.920 to store dopamine so if i have money in the bank and i need some dopamine i can take some money out

00:29:55.840 and buy some jet skis and then go get some dopamine on my jet ski or something else so that's

00:30:02.240 the way i see the world i see the world as incentives and most of those incentives are

00:30:07.440 dopamine or something that can get you dopamine like money so if you look at the way we're currently

00:30:13.920 arranged versus the way we used to be marriage was a full economic solution so you get your kids who 1.00

00:30:21.600 could work on the farm maybe protect you against invaders you got a daughter maybe she's worth something

00:30:27.360 to get a dowry depending on where you're living um you know the woman would uh have children you 0.99

00:30:33.680 needed that the man would do some heavier lifting and you needed that and then they would have this

00:30:39.600 unit that worked together and kept them all alive and that was that was good for survival dopamine

00:30:45.680 and money so i had everything but if you fast forward to where women can earn as much as men 1.00

00:30:52.960 uh they could buy somebody to take care of their kid if they divorce somebody who is successful they 0.99

00:31:00.160 can take a bunch of money and look for a better guy so we now have created a set of incentives that

00:31:06.640 largely guarantees the end of marriage except for maybe 25 of the public who can have the perfect

00:31:14.000 mate in the perfect situation but largely it's not something that could be fixed

00:31:18.720 you know with tweaking uh we have guaranteed by design the end of marriage when i say the end

00:31:27.360 there'll still be 25 percent who find it perfectly acceptable yeah and then they'll be like just just

00:31:32.240 do what i did like wait what well have you noticed that uh there's something that the relationship

00:31:39.840 experts on instagram have in common i was gonna i was gonna bring this up today your tweet

00:31:45.040 yeah yeah one of the things that all the instagram uh experts have in common is that they are

00:31:51.680 individually very attractive that that that seems to me so you'll see the guy he's often a guy and

00:31:58.560 he'll say you know you you can't treat can't give the women everything they want you've got to be tough

00:32:04.000 you got to be alpha and i'm thinking that i'm listening and i'm thinking and you have to look like you

00:32:09.120 because if you if you if you treat somebody poorly and you don't look like you well good luck with

00:32:16.880 that because you know looking like you is 80 of why anybody would stay with you you know unfortunately

00:32:23.360 we're just visual creatures and shallow but i think your reference to the tweet was

00:32:29.760 the two things i've learned from uh relationship experts on instagram is that if a man let's say a

00:32:36.720 hetero man gives a woman everything she wants she will come to think of him as a simp and a pushover

00:32:45.040 and she will lose her attraction to him then probably cheat so you so the experts will tell you don't 0.99

00:32:51.120 give women everything they want now if you go the other way and you you give them nothing that they 0.67

00:32:57.280 want like you're tough about it uh they will go find somebody who does give them what they want

00:33:02.800 because they imagine that that person exists and you're with a meanie and then people say scott scott 0.93

00:33:08.160 scott you're so silly you're taking two extremes you're gonna have to find the midpoint of those 0.96

00:33:14.160 two things of course you don't give the woman everything she wants but of course you don't 1.00

00:33:19.120 withhold everything she wants you got to find that midpoint so i say all right let's say you even do

00:33:25.040 better than the midpoint and you give the woman 75 of what she wants what would her rational decision

00:33:32.880 be at that point well if it's me i'm gonna look for somebody who'll give me 100 because i think i

00:33:40.080 deserve it and why is this guy holding out my 25 sure i take for granted the 75 i figure i could get

00:33:46.880 that anywhere but i want that 25 that's that's the stuff i really needed so i'm not aware of any

00:33:54.640 system that would work the only systems i've seen work for relationships had some really specific

00:34:02.320 elements to them they met really young so they didn't have the disadvantage of seeing you know

00:34:09.040 what else is out there they had both really good economic um opportunities and jobs so both of them

00:34:19.040 could earn and be you know full full members of the house and they could make enough money to

00:34:24.240 have you know private schools and uh nannies and stuff like that and in those cases those look like

00:34:30.800 really really strong marriages the ones i've seen are just tremendous but the people who wait to 30 and 1.00

00:34:36.960 they've got a lot of body count and maybe they've been divorced once and they have a set of requirements

00:34:42.480 that nobody can meet so you can predict how that goes yeah i have this same saying like women always 0.99

00:34:49.600 whine like we i don't know what it is about us we just love to complain so here's my theory my theory

00:34:56.960 is that the way we evolved uh if if we evolved at all is that um men are designed to go out and get

00:35:04.880 resources you know food and protection and stuff like that and women are designed to uh transfer those 1.00

00:35:12.160 resources through themselves into the child and that that's our basic operating system so under those

00:35:20.240 conditions the woman should evolve to uh have strategies to get as much as possible from the man 1.00

00:35:28.960 and and they don't have the ability of force right you can't force them so the only things you can use

00:35:35.600 are your emotions because men can't stand being in a house with an unhappy woman so we will do anything 0.95

00:35:41.760 to make the whining stop and here's the thing that no man understands we we fall for this a billion

00:35:50.880 times in a row including me and i will even fall for it tomorrow like like i i will fall for this like

00:35:58.640 i'd never heard my own advice right they never get what they want there's no there's no such thing as

00:36:07.520 as uh addressing their needs and then you're like well i guess i've got a few weeks off because i've

00:36:13.360 addressed all the needs solved all the problems i think things are going to be pretty good after this

00:36:19.840 i mean tom tom brady got divorced you know what i mean like well more like you got america's like

00:36:27.840 favorite footballer a tall jacked handsome rich like what what else christian i've never even heard of

00:36:35.440 him cheating like i'm like i i think his wife complained because he was traveling too much for

00:36:41.760 work like actually but i'm not making that up i know a lot i know there's been a ton of broke guys

00:36:50.160 on my show she can go date them they have free time it's like they're not going anywhere

00:36:56.560 it's like well i started looking into the history of like the suffragettes and like feminism

00:37:04.320 and you know i realized like you know they all warned that if women voted like we would just

00:37:10.320 spend too much money and just like break up the family no i swear everyone thinks i kid when i say

00:37:15.520 that women shouldn't vote i mean it i mean it's my soul they're like oh she's just trolling i'm like not

00:37:19.760 at all like i'm 100 because because i started reading the anti-suffragettes writings and they're

00:37:26.560 like this is going to be the breakdown of the family they're they're just going to spend too

00:37:31.600 much money look at how much they these were wives and mothers that said this so i'm like i'm like

00:37:39.040 yeah you know i don't know what it is about us it's like we like the feminists you know that's like 1.00

00:37:44.160 a woman's movement they're still whining it's like that we get paid so much you know wine but 0.97

00:37:50.640 don't women and men vote about the same no not single women change now single women so this is

00:37:56.080 just doing the divorce documentary i started like interviewing politicians um and like people that

00:38:02.640 have like because i wanted to know why are these men's rights guys they can't get anything done

00:38:06.640 so i'm like what the hell and they all tell me that women are the biggest swing voters

00:38:10.960 so all the politicians are catering to women because um basically like men are more loyal

00:38:16.880 even in parties so we're where they'll like vote for their party um and just stick to it they're kind

00:38:24.960 of they're usually lifelong republicans or lifelong democrats women we're just as unloyal as we are in 0.75

00:38:30.320 marriage it's like they think they can buy us and we'll go we're like oh they're giving us the single 0.98

00:38:36.480 and then single mothers especially they're telling me it's like the biggest voting bloc so well it's 0.56

00:38:41.760 got to be about resources too right don't you think that single women are are looking for whoever's 1.00

00:38:47.600 going to give them the best economic pop and if they someday get married they can have the best

00:38:52.480 economy i think they're just looking at who can promise them the most resources and that's it

00:38:56.640 yeah no i know but men you know you think they could get benefits too i guess not the single mother 0.98

00:39:01.760 stuff but you know well men are wired differently so if you said to me scott one of these candidates

00:39:09.440 will give you more resources and i'll be like yes i want those more resources but would be five percent

00:39:16.000 weaker on national defense i'm like whoa no five percent less on national defense i don't take that

00:39:24.800 you can keep your stuff i'll take the national defense so we have different priorities yeah well

00:39:30.160 on women we just like spend a lot of money so we're like spend i'm not going to agree with you on

00:39:37.440 that it will haunt me forever why not it's true well then you can spend some money too have you ever

00:39:44.080 heard a chick just say like i've had enough spending i'm done this is too much we're spending too much

00:39:49.120 money i've never heard it like i'll have you know i swear interviewing like 600 700 like young chicks 1.00

00:39:58.560 completely changed my view on chicks because they'll be like we're in poverty and i'm like you have 0.98

00:40:02.720 fake nails i don't even have fake nails what do you i see the botox in your face like how are you in

00:40:08.800 poverty don't doesn't that stuff go first no yeah how much of that do you think is uh it's 2023 and how

00:40:19.760 much of it is gender oh i think it's uh gender yeah okay yeah the the reason i think it's gender

00:40:28.160 is because women just spend a lot more like i don't see men spending money on clothes like that 1.00

00:40:33.840 appearance like they might spend money on other stuff but like when you i did a breakdown of like what

00:40:40.800 if a chick wanted like the stuff you know women get nowadays it's like nails um a certain amount of 1.00

00:40:47.760 clothes every all that stuff it's expensive it adds up i can't tell you off the top of my head i don't

00:40:53.280 really remember but oh i can i can tell you what that stuff costs yeah that that stuff alone the the

00:41:03.760 personal maintenance costs more than most people earn yeah like actually more than most people earn all

00:41:12.080 year yeah i mean we make 80 percent of consumer buying decisions think of that even though we earn

00:41:17.520 less like that's crazy well now this gets me to go to my uh pet peeves as someone who has an economics

00:41:24.320 background when we're talking about who has the money and who makes the money we always conveniently

00:41:31.200 leave out who spends it now if you had a choice of making the money or spending the money

00:41:36.560 and then making the money requires the work and the spending money is you know i guess the only work

00:41:42.720 is the spending which is a better deal oh and like you said yeah like um one of the reasons i got married

00:41:50.880 the first time and the second time too i guess is uh it's not the only reason but was to give away my

00:41:56.880 money because i didn't have enough this is literally true i had made enough money and i looked around and i

00:42:03.760 thought well i like having just one shirt that i wear for every one of my podcasts i don't know if

00:42:10.640 you know if you notice me appearing on other podcasts always this shirt i don't really need

00:42:16.000 a second shirt with a collar i wear a t-shirt for my own podcast so i've got one car and i wish i had zero 0.98

00:42:23.520 i've got one house and i wish i were renting because ownership of anything is just a giant pain in the ass 0.75

00:42:29.760 so i just thought wouldn't it be great to combine my life with somebody who has some actual spending

00:42:36.800 needs and then the money would be used in a productive way instead of me buying a second

00:42:41.600 car i don't use so that was actually part of my decision that part worked out really well that's

00:42:46.720 better than i could have imagined meaning that's really easy to spend money when you don't have money

00:42:51.920 you know but when you bring money into a situation where somebody hasn't had it

00:42:56.320 they have many ideas of how to spend it oh more ideas than i have you know i don't think of vacations

00:43:02.960 and uh i could have never understood how much the maintenance program uh costs the nails and lashes and 0.90

00:43:11.200 stuff so those are things that i don't have to deal with and i never even think of so bringing somebody

00:43:16.880 in who could benefit by the spending of the money was actually part of the plan oh wow that's so crazy

00:43:23.280 our network likes to spend money just you know just you but i'm like i've never heard a guy say that he

00:43:30.960 wanted to get married to spend money but what are you going to do with your money if you have money

00:43:37.040 and you're single and you're a guy what are you going to do with it i i think i think most guys i mean

00:43:43.280 most guys don't like what do they make 45 55k a year so say well i don't know if that's the average but

00:43:48.960 yeah i mean mostly cubicle people are over 100 i think yeah but like isn't that i swear the average

00:43:55.600 salary is like 55 000 now yeah but that's counting servers and you know the baristas and stuff so but

00:44:02.800 yes yeah yeah once you get into a big office building you're probably making more than that

00:44:07.040 what do you think is going to happen like in the next 50 years with everything becoming so

00:44:13.120 technological well we're definitely going to merge with the machines i think the odds of sex lives 0.78

00:44:20.560 becoming you know fully digital is guaranteed um so some number of people are just going to be taken

00:44:27.760 completely out of the mating uh baiting cycle and if the if the digital stuff especially the virtual

00:44:36.640 reality things i don't know if you saw recent uh a recent video with lex friedman friedman and uh

00:44:43.280 mark zuckerberg using uh matters new technology that makes a photorealistic version of you so you put

00:44:50.880 on the goggles and it looks like you're standing in front of another person who's also photorealistic

00:44:56.400 and you can walk right up to him and apparently if you get close to him you actually feel like you're

00:45:00.720 close to a person because it's so photorealistic so could you get to the point where that plus some

00:45:07.920 you know a teledildonics or something some uh some sex toys that work across distance becomes your

00:45:14.960 entire sexual outlet because if you've got the googles on and part of your body is inserted or

00:45:22.800 is with a sex toy are you going to get oxytocin from that because if you do it's pretty much the

00:45:30.400 end of humanity if you don't and it's just sort of a digital experience that can never match a

00:45:35.920 human experience well then we're still good but we're so close and when i heard that it's creepy

00:45:41.920 when somebody gets close to you in the digital world that means you're responding to it like a person

00:45:48.640 because you don't get creepy by anything else that's close to you so makes me wonder if they can

00:45:54.720 if they can elicit some dopamine and some oxytocin those are the only currency that we work for and

00:46:01.840 you're not going to work for it in a in a less economical way if you had to marry somebody who

00:46:07.280 might get sick and die and cheat on you and spend your money versus just putting on some headphones and

00:46:12.560 you get the same chemical kick i really think that a lot of people just be taken completely under the

00:46:19.360 reproductive process so that's what i think so you think we're going to merge with machines 0.84

00:46:25.200 and that what percent of people do you think would do that well if you look at elon musk's product uh

00:46:32.320 neuro what is it neural link um i don't know how many people are going to put a chip in their skull

00:46:39.920 but it will depend entirely upon how much benefits the first people get you know i think you'll work with

00:46:45.440 people have spine injuries first but if he gets past that into recreational stuff such as you're

00:46:52.000 the same person but now you have superpowers because your brain is more efficient in however many ways 1.00

00:46:58.080 it'll be hard to resist people with money will get it so it'll start with the stupid rich 0.99

00:47:03.120 and at some point it will become a civil right that everybody has a right to have a chip in their head 0.98

00:47:09.120 because it would be such a superpower it would be unfair that some people couldn't have them so i think the

00:47:15.200 government will make it mandatory at some point or at least make it free and then you think that'll

00:47:19.840 be the end of humanity in a sense because we'll be cyborgs after that in other words we'll be part

00:47:26.160 machine part human and we will be living extensive lives in the non-real world in the digital realms so

00:47:34.400 whatever we are whatever you want to call that it will be fundamentally different than humans walking

00:47:40.080 around in the same space with each other is that weird for you because um you're in your your how

00:47:46.240 old are you you're 35 35 now you're not buying that i thought i'd take a run at it 66 i'm six so it's

00:47:56.560 interesting because i got um a smartphone when i was like 13 maybe so i kind of saw the beginning of like

00:48:04.320 the world changing you know because when i was in high school um it was like pictures like that was

00:48:10.320 the big thing everyone would like take a picture at a get to you know but it's a little it's a little

00:48:16.160 different than like now it's like you can't go anywhere without being filmed like people are always

00:48:21.120 on their stories and all that stuff so i've even seen it change and it's a bit weird for me so i can't

00:48:27.680 even imagine someone in their 60s well imagine imagine what i've seen i i was before the smartphone

00:48:34.720 but also before personal computers so imagine a childhood with no computer no smartphone

00:48:41.920 people under 25 can't even imagine that um so i'm i'm one of the last crossover um generations

00:48:50.480 you know the the pre-smartphone and then smartphone so i've lived them both and i feel like that's going

00:48:56.320 to confer some kind of advantages but i'm not sure what but how how is it to you like seeing the

00:49:01.280 culture change so much like how like what's that been like you know the biggest thing is i always

00:49:07.200 assumed that america would just last forever because it it was always some version of the same america for

00:49:14.720 my entire life until i'd say last five years we're now at a cusp probably because of technology more than

00:49:21.360 anything of something that's big but nobody knows what it is yet so we're not the same people we were

00:49:29.200 even five years ago we understand that the news is routinely fake it's not sometimes wrong it's designed

00:49:36.640 to be wrong you know that the people who own the news so to speak make sure it's wrong it's a narrative

00:49:42.880 it's not the news maybe it's always been that way but maybe we just found out because of technology

00:49:48.000 technology so there's a real fight for free speech and maybe there always was you know maybe we were

00:49:55.760 always just brainwashed kids and we didn't know anything maybe the pledge of allegiance and and all

00:50:01.440 that was in the movies they showed war in a positive light we're pretty sure that was all propaganda

00:50:08.240 by today's you know measure so the propaganda is much stronger and worse and more powerful and affects

00:50:15.360 more people now than maybe ever before so it's we've sort of turned into a full-time propaganda

00:50:21.920 war it's a war for minds i think maybe the biggest difference is we went from controlling people's

00:50:28.720 bodies you know forever into the way you control their bodies is by controlling their minds so we always

00:50:37.280 do both but i think it's more about mind control going forward and why do you think they do that like

00:50:42.560 fake the news do you think it's like the government i think it's a combination of uh government

00:50:48.240 specifically one party versus the other and sometimes it's our intelligence agencies want to

00:50:55.200 you know control the minds of americans for good reasons usually sometimes bad i suppose

00:51:01.280 so it's a combination of people who have similar interests in making sure people don't see the raw truth

00:51:06.960 and um since there's money involved it's tough to break that cycle because you can't really start a

00:51:14.400 the honest news channel with no money you know you have to have a model that makes money and one of

00:51:21.120 the things we found is that what makes the most money and gets the most clicks are the things that make

00:51:26.800 your hair catch on fire usually those are not true so you know the covington kid case where the

00:51:34.080 kid went up and was allegedly yelling in the face of the native american guy and i saw that in my uh

00:51:40.080 you know immediately i was incensed like oh that kid i hate that kid and then you see a little bit

00:51:45.920 more video and you realize that the native american guy was the aggressor and the kid never did anything

00:51:51.680 but stand in one place and the entire story was backwards so stories like that that get you like oh i'm

00:51:58.960 so angry are usually fake because the thing that made you angry is something that was so out of

00:52:05.120 place that somebody did something you shouldn't do in the wrong place that's what gets you crazy

00:52:11.120 how could that person in that situation do that thing and then you find out later the reason it was

00:52:16.400 so outrageous is that it didn't happen most of life is normal stuff so when you see these incredible

00:52:23.440 outrages it's almost always incomplete and out of context certainly my stories like that well even

00:52:31.120 wait so you said certainly what my story is like that yeah all of my many uh scandals over the years

00:52:38.080 all of them are just out of context that's all it is yeah i i there you had one you referred to black

00:52:45.920 people as a hate group right that's what they're taking out of contact yes so here would you like

00:52:53.840 to hear the context yeah yeah if you're okay i don't i don't want you to like talk about anything

00:52:59.120 you don't want to talk about but if no i have no restrictions okay um so the first thing you need

00:53:04.880 to know is that i didn't make any comment about anybody's genetic makeup nothing about their chromosomes

00:53:11.440 and nothing about their culture that had nothing to do with anything if if those that had been part

00:53:16.720 of the question then racism would be a reasonable uh critique but the background that's left out of

00:53:23.840 all the reporting is that the reason i said that first of all it was hyperbole so you know just assume

00:53:30.640 there's some hyperbole in there it wasn't intended to be an accurate statement so the hyperbole was

00:53:36.720 because we're in a situation where uh we have esg and crt and dei if your audience is not familiar

00:53:45.200 with all those those are things which at least in america and some other places as well uh have in

00:53:51.040 common that there's a victim class usually we're talking about black americans if it's here and that

00:53:57.360 there's an oppressor class usually thought of as the rich white guys of which i remember so if you're

00:54:05.040 in a place where the dominant social training is that one group um have been oppressed there's one

00:54:12.960 group that is oppressing them still you know not just in the past but right now and that oppressing group

00:54:19.920 has the stuff that belongs to you because that's what that that's what everybody's being trained to

00:54:25.200 believe in that situation uh you would expect that they would have some uh animosity toward their

00:54:33.040 oppressors wouldn't that be normal yeah that would be the most normal thing so why would you stay

00:54:39.520 around if you had been lumped in the oppressor class why would you stay around you're you're in a

00:54:46.080 dangerous situation because you're surrounded by people who believe that you have their stuff and

00:54:51.920 they have a moral right to get it back you need to get out of there so the hate group thing was just

00:54:58.720 hyperbole it was based on the rasmussen poll which wasn't important to the larger point

00:55:03.280 the larger point is forget about anybody's you know dna or even their color if one group has been

00:55:10.720 weaponized against the other you should get out of that group if you're the group that has been

00:55:15.760 targeted as the uh the bad guys now now let me extend that you may have seen in the news that uh

00:55:23.680 governor hochel of new york and also ex-president bill clinton both said that they think that the

00:55:32.720 the asylum city thing that the um that the cities are doing like new york city are a mistake

00:55:40.160 and should be rolled back now why are they saying that it's not because they think that the immigrants

00:55:47.280 coming into new york city have bad dna they're not saying it for that they don't think they have

00:55:52.160 bad chromosomes they don't think they have bad character they don't think that they have bad

00:55:56.320 culture they're simply saying that if you take the existing system that is new york city and you

00:56:02.880 inject a bunch of people in it of uh that don't have jobs let's say that it creates disruption that's

00:56:10.480 going to be bad for new york city and it's not especially helping the people you brought in

00:56:15.040 because there's probably a better way to handle it in effect they're saying these people are fine

00:56:21.920 but because of the situation you've created we don't want them on the same block as us

00:56:28.160 basically saying you know get these people out of here that's essentially what they're saying

00:56:32.320 now they're good people at or at least in terms of you know these statements they're they're saying

00:56:37.920 kind things they want the people to do well they're not criticizing the immigrants whatsoever

00:56:43.760 they're not criticizing the residents of new york city who feel this burden they're simply saying

00:56:49.120 you've created a system that doesn't work well together and that's what i say about dei and esg

00:56:54.800 and crt it's a it's a set of systems which poison the the relationships between the races and makes

00:57:04.000 it an incentive for for one to avoid the other if they can there's no real way to do that but that's

00:57:09.120 the incentive that's being created oh no that happened to me oh my gosh it was like i had um

00:57:15.760 a co-host it was so it was so crazy for like a year i thought we were pals one day he just comes

00:57:20.640 out makes a video saying i'm a colonizer i'm like a colonizer i was like wait what what no so actually

00:57:29.200 i have like firsthand experience with that i thought we were good i was like we were like pals like a

00:57:33.920 week ago and even the title of the video was like the truth about pearl right and when i saw it was

00:57:39.280 scheduled i thought he was gonna swear i was on the phone with my dad i was like he's gonna say nice

00:57:44.320 things he's like i don't think so and i saw it and i was just like wait what like i was like all right

00:57:52.880 all right now let's take take your example um i would without knowing i would assume that you

00:57:59.120 you know you're not thinking there's anything wrong with this individual's dna right no no no

00:58:07.200 i thought we were friends and wouldn't you say there's there's nothing wrong with his culture

00:58:12.000 that has anything to do with this right there's nothing the culture is dna but is it true that he

00:58:18.960 if he had not been your co-host you would not have had that problem yes right and it's not because

00:58:25.280 the personality it's because the personality has been infected by the same social forces that are

00:58:31.600 infecting us all so if you look at the social forces as the bad part then you can give all the

00:58:37.360 people a break which is the way i prefer to do it yeah and i also say that if you want real diversity

00:58:43.760 we were moving in the right direction actually because we used to say everything's black or white

00:58:48.880 it's black people and then there's white people and then we move to um intersectionality so oh

00:58:55.520 don't just say i'm a black person because i might also be uh disabled i might also be lgbtq and that's

00:59:02.640 going to be different and that instinct is right because that is a different situation but i think we

00:59:08.480 need to keep going and realize that people are infinitely different even within their within their

00:59:15.040 culture in their group so if we can treat people as individuals then it's easy to solve problems

00:59:21.440 because i can look at an individual and say oh what do you need oh you need this advice or you need

00:59:26.480 this contact you need this job i know how to fix a person i don't know how to fix fix the difference

00:59:32.720 between an average where there's no average black person and there's no average white person that's not

00:59:38.400 a problem i'm willing to work on because averages don't exist well average people don't exist but i'm

00:59:44.720 willing definitely willing to work on what would help individuals you said average people don't

00:59:49.680 exist yeah there's no such thing as an average black person but yeah yet we're told to compare

00:59:55.680 the average white person to the average black person and neither of those people exist it's purely 0.91

01:00:01.200 imaginary there there's no one solution that all black people need or that all white people need

01:00:06.960 everybody's got their own little situation if i were to randomly you know throw a dart and somebody

01:00:13.040 didn't complain that i threw a dart out um you would find somebody who's whose biggest problem in

01:00:18.960 life is unlikely to be systemic racism very unlikely it's going to be well if i had this job skill

01:00:28.480 i would have that job yeah it's usually something pretty simple yeah well it would have helped this

01:00:34.000 guy because i was like well you would uh because his whole thing was like i didn't pay him enough and i was

01:00:40.000 like well if you were better i would have paid you more i was like you see you saw the guy that was

01:00:43.680 over he makes good money like it's like i'm like just because it was you you know you know then i'm

01:00:50.880 the bad guy it's like i don't know what the way i would have played it would would be to ask for a

01:00:56.160 raise but that's just me that's how i would have played that situation yeah well what happened was

01:01:00.720 it was like because we're doing like a network so we sign people to it and i just said look we don't have

01:01:06.480 a ton of cash right now come back in six months and then he didn't like that he wanted it and then

01:01:11.040 it was the truth about pearl i was like i couldn't believe it but you you also said you you lost

01:01:18.880 multiple job opportunities for being white yeah my first big job was at a bank crocker bank in san

01:01:24.960 francisco and when i tell this story a lot of people say this can't be true there's no way this is true

01:01:32.480 and it is well this is 100 true my boss called me in her office one day and she said the word has

01:01:40.080 come down from senior management that we're getting in trouble because we don't have diversity in senior

01:01:44.800 management and the only way we'll ever get there is to stop promoting white men and so she said until 0.71

01:01:52.240 further notice you know you're not promotable and i said what like i couldn't believe it like it doesn't

01:02:00.160 it didn't sound like something somebody was saying directly to you yeah i was like i'm surprised they

01:02:03.920 told you this like they could have at least lied like you know what i mean so so i did the rational

01:02:10.480 thing that one does in a free market i i quit so i went to work with a phone company and got on their

01:02:16.320 management program and i was finishing my mba at a good school and it looked like i was you know

01:02:22.080 destined for senior management and one day my boss called me in his office and he said i don't know

01:02:27.680 how to tell you this but the word has come down that uh we don't have enough diversity and until

01:02:33.840 further notice we can never promote you and that's when i quit working hard at the phone company and

01:02:41.680 said i guess i'll have to work for myself so i tried a few things one of the things i tried was the

01:02:46.640 dilbert comic and then when that took off um you know i stayed working in my day job for a number of

01:02:52.160 years to get material mostly and then i i left and dilbert took off and there was an animated dilbert

01:02:59.600 tv show for two half seasons on up after the first season it got picked up so that meant it was doing

01:03:06.560 well and but it had been running on a monday night and upn decided that they wanted to turn monday

01:03:14.080 into a block of uh only african-american comedies so since dilbert didn't fit that i got moved to a

01:03:21.120 different time slot anybody who knows about how television works knows that at least in the old

01:03:26.880 days um when your time slot moved usually were dead and there's a long history of of shows that

01:03:33.360 were successful until the time slot moved it's it's a thing so it moved and then the ratings collapsed

01:03:39.360 and it got cancelled uh and then my more current career as a cartoonist and writer i was uh completely

01:03:47.760 cancelled for saying something that any black person could have said uh out loud but but because

01:03:54.000 it came from me and all the context was stripped out of it and then i got cancelled for that but

01:03:59.440 certainly that was only because i'm white and male i don't think i would have been cancelled uh in fact

01:04:05.440 only democrats cancelled me there's no republican who thought i should be cancelled i've never met one are

01:04:11.280 there like solutions moving forward so like we don't have the end of humanity and have a crazy like

01:04:17.520 race war you know so you you want the optimistic yeah could i could i have could i have an optimistic

01:04:24.880 and a pessimistic i'd like to hear optimistic first because this job has made me a bit of a pessimist and

01:04:31.440 i'm trying to turn it around all right so the first thing you need to know is that the media is now fully

01:04:37.760 designed to show you all the bad news right so it's nothing but bad news because that's what we click on and

01:04:43.440 like to argue about so you're seeing a totally misleading picture of how bad things are now

01:04:50.720 there might be some things that are even worse you know but mostly things are not nearly as bad as they

01:04:55.680 look uh the next thing is what i call the adam's law of slow-moving disasters and the way that works is

01:05:02.640 that humanity has been terrific in fact we have a hundred percent uh record of solving uh cataclysmic you

01:05:10.480 know population ending problems so we we didn't overpopulate and run out of food we figured out

01:05:16.880 how to make more food we um didn't run out of fuel in the 70s or oil we figured out how to frack and

01:05:24.240 find more oil we did not have a year 2000 bug because we had plenty of time to get ready for it and so

01:05:31.120 we just reprogrammed it it was fine and the even the uh the ozone hole the hole in the ozone we actually

01:05:39.280 fixed that there was no hole in the ozone no way i don't believe well that's what we were told

01:05:48.160 well so so either we solved it or we stopped talking about one of those two things

01:05:54.720 who knows but so and and you could you could keep going with just you know dozens of examples

01:06:01.520 it's only the things that catch us off guard that we're in trouble like the pandemic you know we maybe

01:06:07.200 some experts were a little bit prepared but basically the public wasn't so that that kicked

01:06:11.440 our ass but if you look at all of our problems from you know climate change to you know even the

01:06:19.520 falling population to the ukraine war we'll probably make all of that work you know one way or another 0.99

01:06:27.280 humans are amazing at making things work the other thing i'll say is that because of social media 0.98

01:06:33.280 we have far more exposure to stupid people than ever before so it looks like everything's getting 1.00

01:06:39.680 stupider because you just have all these stupid people coming at you on social media all day long 1.00

01:06:45.600 whereas before you had to be kind of talented to even be on let's say to be walter cronkite and be on 1.00

01:06:50.960 the news you had to be one of the more talented people now that's not the case so you see this misleading

01:06:56.640 misleading incompetence but at the same time there is a pretty big incompetence problem in the country

01:07:03.920 we have a massive incompetence aren't iqs dropping like pretty bad uh the the people who make a

01:07:09.520 difference are a very few number of people right there's only a few steve jobs and even within apple

01:07:16.640 it was probably you know a dozen or so engineers who did all the important stuff to make it apple and then

01:07:22.000 it could be self-sustaining so the people really change things there aren't that many of them and

01:07:28.160 it wouldn't matter if 80 of the world got dumber maybe you'd hardly notice you know maybe the robots

01:07:34.640 wouldn't and ai will pick up some of the slack but the people who really change things are born that way

01:07:40.240 i think i mean i think steve jobs was just born to change things you know elon musk was just born to

01:07:47.440 change things and i think that no matter how badly you know the the lowest 80 of the public is doing

01:07:55.280 the top 20 is still killing it recently i spent some time with a father and a daughter who was one of

01:08:07.040 these kids that makes you makes you have confidence in the future i don't know if you've had that 0.97

01:08:14.560 experience but you you can meet 10 kids in a row and you say oh man we are screwed we are so screwed

01:08:22.240 like you turn on tick tock for five minutes and you're like oh god oh god this is what's going to

01:08:28.000 be running the world i know i say that to my little sister sometimes but but try this experiment spend an

01:08:37.280 hour with a a kid who's one of the ones who's going to make a difference you can see it right

01:08:44.800 away right they're just powerful and they are more powerful than ever so so the ones that are going to

01:08:51.600 make a difference are more high powered more powerful smarter more capable even healthier than

01:08:58.400 ever before in history the bottom 80 may in fact be trending in the wrong direction because the

01:09:04.800 school system is totally broken or maybe the reason that you mentioned but i think has more to do with

01:09:10.720 the teachers unions who are stop it stop it i didn't even say it i'm trying to stay out of trouble

01:09:25.360 i've been canceled enough what do you i mean i i don't say anything that controversial just women 0.97

01:09:31.280 are responsible for all problems in society no controversy there at all no no no certainly

01:09:38.480 certainly the school system is completely broken and i i say that's the biggest source of systemic

01:09:43.520 racism oh yeah how's how's a poor black kid going to get ahead if he doesn't have school

01:09:49.280 and we don't really have school you know at the at the the poorer locations it's basically like it

01:09:55.280 doesn't exist you you're you're getting zero people who could do math that's like having no school at

01:10:00.080 all you know i don't even know all my multiplication tables swear so you know and you know my mom says

01:10:07.040 i shouldn't tell people this but i just i'm just an honest person now let me but but i i have to dive

01:10:12.800 into that for a minute i don't there there are probably that means there are only some multiple

01:10:20.080 some uh multiplication you know processes that you don't know like i have trouble with the sevens

01:10:25.920 oh my gosh i can't do sevens either that's like the sevens and the and the eights those are the two

01:10:32.720 i also can't and i can't visualize like certain kilograms or whatever like there's certain like

01:10:39.520 they told me i wouldn't i don't remember what grade it was they're like if you don't memorize this

01:10:43.360 you won't pass uh look where i am now baby it's like i still don't know it

01:10:47.920 yeah i i i used i used to think i would write a book about all the things that i don't know how to

01:10:54.800 do that people would assume that i do because my whole day is being presented with something i should

01:11:01.600 fix but i don't know how so i just don't do it so there would be sometimes years that i would log

01:11:09.520 onto my computer and some message would come up before i could do my work and i would say to myself

01:11:15.360 i don't know how to make that go away like it's something unimportant so i'll just leave it there

01:11:20.080 for two years every single time i'll turn on i'll be like well i wish i knew how to make that go away

01:11:28.240 and so everything from my you know my car to my you know just everything there are all these things i

01:11:33.920 don't know how to do but they're small so i could just sort of put them off but it's an enormous body

01:11:40.720 of things i don't know how to do at this point yeah i mean assuming this mike stuff i don't know

01:11:44.960 how to set this up

01:11:49.280 so okay so you think that the smarter people will keep getting smarter and fix all our problems

01:11:54.320 optimistically well in terms of engineering and inventing stuff and being leaders yes i do okay

01:12:01.520 so what about what's your like pessimistic that it's all over well the pessimistic version is that

01:12:07.120 there's something in society that's falling apart and i don't know if we can figure out what it is

01:12:14.240 um it feels like it's something about the media maybe it's that there are too many brainwashers

01:12:20.160 working at once i often feel like we're having a uh like the world there's a movie called underworld

01:12:26.720 in which the idea is that the uh the werewolves and the vampires have been having a you know hundreds

01:12:32.640 of years battle that the humans just don't notice but it's like this big battle going on so sometimes

01:12:38.320 i think the real world is that below the surface are there the real movers and shakers and persuaders

01:12:44.400 are in this pitched battle that the people above the surface hardly ever see anything except oh there's

01:12:50.400 a new law like they'll see the end product of something but they don't see the battle so that's

01:12:55.760 the way i see the world and i suppose you know the werewolves could win or the vampires could win

01:13:02.960 and we would end up in a world war ii holocaust situation again and i would not have imagined any 0.90

01:13:10.000 of that was possible until the january 6 sentences started coming down and it looks like we live in a

01:13:17.760 country in which um political dissent is being criminalized and you know yes yes i know they

01:13:26.000 committed some um crimes etc but we don't i don't think anybody thinks they were treated the way

01:13:30.800 people would normally be treated in similar situations how then we look at trump and that

01:13:36.320 looks completely political so if we reach a point where people are obviously going to jail for political

01:13:42.560 stuff and people are obviously being canceled for having political voices i think the best way to

01:13:49.280 understand my situation is that i'm in my own opinion probably a top 20 persuader in politics

01:13:58.320 now most people would not know that you'd have to really be following politics to know my little role

01:14:05.360 but um that's not a coincidence that i got taken off the chessboard at before an election

01:14:12.320 so you're seeing one by one all of the strongest the best communicators are all being targeted

01:14:18.160 what do you mean taken off the chessboard like canceled canceled meaning our voices are being reduced

01:14:25.360 so for example canceling tucker carlson one of the best communicators um it should have silenced him

01:14:32.480 he went to twitter where his audience got bigger but it's still only people on twitter so he has actually

01:14:38.560 been marginalized even though he has a bigger audience on twitter um if you look at um russell brand

01:14:46.240 you know regardless of what anybody did or actually did i don't know who's guilty or not guilty of

01:14:50.880 anything but i don't believe he would have been targeted except that his voice was politically

01:14:56.880 persuasive and he's a good communicator i'm in that category too where um for last several years

01:15:04.960 there have been a number of hit jobs and attempts to cancel me this is just the one that stuck and it

01:15:11.120 came out i think the washington post was probably the leader on this and that's political by its

01:15:17.280 nature oh you you mean the the stuff we talked about earlier yeah the cancellation my cancellation is

01:15:24.320 probably more related to my political opinions than it is to anything i said that got me canceled so

01:15:31.600 you talked about january 6th and that was i i don't know too much about january 6th but they they

01:15:37.760 like stormed the capital was that it yeah i don't you see there is a part a point in my life where i just

01:15:46.320 wasn't paying attention to anything political like it was yeah anyways but you know i didn't pay attention

01:15:52.480 to january 6th when it happened either i just didn't think it was important at the time yeah and so

01:15:57.440 i don't really understand like they weren't so how'd they get in well that's part of the mystery

01:16:02.320 i mean they they broke in but there's also reports of doors being opened for them from on the inside

01:16:09.760 so the conspiracy people say there's people on the inside that wanted this to look bad so they opened

01:16:14.640 the doors and they also say there were people in the crowd who were really feds and they were whipping

01:16:20.240 up the crowd to do more than maybe they would have done on their own so i don't know about any of that

01:16:24.720 um i do know that it's being you know called an insurrection like the idea is that you can conquer

01:16:33.680 a superpower if you trespass enough in one building and i believe that the idea is that they would have

01:16:41.600 gotten control of the the nuclear triad and our entire military by wandering around taking selfies in

01:16:47.840 the capital so that's what the democrats have sold to the country that we were in mortal danger

01:16:54.240 of losing the country because people wandered around now let me take their side for a second

01:17:00.000 but scott but scott there was real violence there yes there was but scott some of them had some like

01:17:08.400 weapons and clubs and stuff yes they did but they were hurting people real violence yes there was

01:17:15.280 someone did someone get hurt yeah so the people got hurt got clubbed pretty badly so so i'm not

01:17:22.880 minimizing the uh the damage it was pretty bad but it was also a very small number of people and 100

01:17:29.600 of the public says they should pay for their crimes republicans say it democrats say it so there's no

01:17:35.520 no debate on that but how exactly were they going to conquer the country

01:17:39.600 suppose they had taken hostages you know suppose they had held pence were we going to surrender the

01:17:47.920 military but what what exactly was the sequence of events that would make this a proper insurrection

01:17:56.160 there was no path that anybody could have ever seen that would cause the insurrection people to own the

01:18:02.640 country and suppose that they had succeeded in delaying the process and gotten some alternate

01:18:10.400 electors involved what would happen next would trump just take the presidency and everybody would say

01:18:18.160 well that's fine with us or would it go immediately to the supreme court because january 6 you know

01:18:25.440 wasn't the date the new president takes over that was still you know weeks away supreme court could have

01:18:32.000 said uh yeah we agree that these alternate electors make sense or they could say that they don't and

01:18:38.240 then we would have had a legitimate legal process um instead the democrats have said that the republicans

01:18:46.400 real intention was not to delay and just recount the votes which is what they all said but secretly they

01:18:53.440 wanted to take over the country and install trump in a non-legal way now i've never met a republican who

01:19:01.440 wanted to violate the constitution never and so the claim that they would have let's say if the

01:19:08.960 supreme court had said now this doesn't work it's unconstitutional republicans would have said we hate

01:19:14.960 that but okay that would have been the end of it so did they get a long sentence uh they got crazy long

01:19:22.320 sentences for the crimes that we're aware of yeah now some of some of the ones deserve long sentences they

01:19:30.400 did some bad stuff but there were a lot of people who were simply just there and the door was open

01:19:36.640 everybody walked through and they probably thought they were not committing a crime they just thought

01:19:41.600 they were protesting and it was a vigorous protest and they happened to be on the inside and sometimes

01:19:47.360 on the outside and so i don't even i doubt they processed it as a crime in their minds do you think

01:19:53.200 that the election was stolen uh i'll tell you what i know um every system in america that could be

01:20:02.880 corrupted and there was a lot of money at stake and it was really complicated that's a big complicated

01:20:09.120 system every one of those we know to be corrupt so we know the doj the fbi we know congress is corrupt

01:20:17.040 we're pretty sure the biden family was corrupt um we're pretty sure that everything in our health

01:20:22.400 care situation was corrupt uh the big pharma is corrupt the you know the uh industrial military

01:20:29.040 complex is corrupt we know those are all corrupt and in the last few years we've gotten absolute

01:20:35.200 confirmation however luckily there are 50 separate elections in each state and then all of the precincts

01:20:45.360 which operated perfectly that's the story we've been told that everything's broken except all 50 states

01:20:54.720 and all of the precincts within the states working perfectly now i don't know if that's true or not

01:21:02.240 because i have no direct information that would say the election was stolen what i do know and i can

01:21:08.240 say this with complete confidence if the elections have never been rigged in the past they're guaranteed

01:21:16.160 to be rigged in the future because we have a system that guarantees it maybe people have tried and failed

01:21:21.920 maybe they couldn't figure it out but as long as the process is non-transparent meaning that even if you

01:21:28.080 do an audit and a recount you're kind of counting the stuff you already counted you don't know if nothing

01:21:33.680 ever reached you in the first place you don't know if um electronically anything's happening in the

01:21:39.760 cavity machines so if you can't look at all the details and there there's big stakes and every

01:21:47.680 other system that had big stakes and lots of people and it's complicated where you could hide all your

01:21:53.120 mischief and the complications those are all corrupt every one of them so it's only a matter of time

01:22:00.960 so we don't know if the election system is corrupt we only know that it has to be in the long run

01:22:06.880 whether it happened already i don't know but i want to add this if you believe that hitler

01:22:14.720 was running for election and you already knew he was hitler so you're not you're not speculating that

01:22:20.640 in the future he'll become hitler you believe he's already hitler and he's running for election and

01:22:26.640 you're in charge of the elections and you have the ability to throw the election if you and and get

01:22:32.400 away with it would you throw the election to prevent hitler from coming to office i asked that question

01:22:39.680 on the x platform in a little poll two-thirds of the people who answered said they would not have rigged

01:22:46.720 an election to stop hitler all of them are lying because they all they all would have they they

01:22:55.840 tried to i think i think i voted no in that poll but well if you voted poll if you voted no it's

01:23:03.600 because you added an assumption that wasn't there such as you can't be sure he'll be helped hitler

01:23:09.280 right you probably had some reason but what was your reason for saying no why wouldn't you stop hitler

01:23:14.960 um well it was because it's like you can't rig an election you know like

01:23:24.640 like you're just not hold on oh look let me make it even more stark 0.60

01:23:30.400 you have a chance to strangle baby hillary but in this weird example you know that i can't kill a baby 0.92

01:23:40.240 to stop the holocaust well i mean you could find a woman that will though i mean 0.99

01:23:44.640 we kill our own kids like there's no tomorrow you know what i mean but but you you wouldn't

01:23:49.360 strangle a baby to stop the holocaust no i can't it's a baby i'd like to call me will you call me if 0.57

01:23:56.000 this happens if you ever get if you ever get in this situation call me i'll be right there i will 0.97

01:24:02.720 strangle that baby right in front of you oh okay the difference between men and women i guess 0.98

01:24:08.400 i know i know this is why women should be this is why women should be banned from the military 1.00

01:24:15.600 really truly and i don't think women should be able to like hold political office either 1.00

01:24:21.680 that's a tough sell what's the argument for that oh i just think every time like we're too emotional

01:24:26.880 our emotions just get in the way they took queens from the last 500 years right they actually are more

01:24:32.800 likely to wage war i don't think women understand violence the way that men understand violence so 1.00

01:24:38.080 i'll give you an example if you start acting up in a bar you know somebody could beat your ass 0.99

01:24:42.960 you know what i mean yeah yeah right yeah women i just don't think and i think it's very clear we 0.99

01:24:48.640 don't understand it right you you see us go like i'll see women beating up a bigger man like like so 0.98

01:24:56.000 much bigger and if he hits back oh boo hoo she's a poor poor poor anyways um but so my my thought 1.00

01:25:03.600 process is one women can't like deal with the consequences the same way men do and when women 1.00

01:25:08.720 get into power if you look at like the first like top 10 women or shortest terms it's all these women 1.00

01:25:14.160 that quit i just noticed women kind of just suck with power like i like seriously i couldn't think of 1.00

01:25:18.880 like one time women were good with power it's like in the last hundred years we got power in the legal 1.00

01:25:23.440 system what'd we do screw the men how about uh how about margaret thatcher now i don't know much

01:25:28.480 about margaret thatcher i hear i've heard about her i don't know much about her now look at look at

01:25:33.680 now okay are there exceptions sure we could we could say like i'm sure ivanka trump is like great you

01:25:40.320 know i'm sure i don't really know much about her but i'm just assuming like if you're raised by trump

01:25:44.720 who i would say is a good president there's going to be exceptions of women but it's like for every one 1.00

01:25:51.200 exception i find like 10 women that suck you know and so it's like is it really worth it is it really 1.00

01:25:59.040 well so here here we get back to my infinite difference philosophy okay since they're there 0.98

01:26:06.400 there's no average woman so therefore you have to deal with everybody as an individual and you 1.00

01:26:12.640 wouldn't want to have turned away margaret thatcher if she came in for no i would have i think a guy

01:26:17.600 could have did it better probably i'm sure there's some guy that could have did it just as good

01:26:23.440 well you can say that about everything there's always somebody who could have done it better

01:26:27.280 that's a universal truth yeah so i'm like what's it like at what cost is my question it's like women 1.00

01:26:32.400 voting at what cost women in office and then like they always do the same thing they go sleep with 1.00

01:26:38.240 someone in the politics like they just become whores it's so crazy like i'll give you an example like 0.99

01:26:43.680 that one republican chick who like she just left her hut and you could say why she left whatever but 1.00

01:26:50.320 it's still the same guy so whatever he was doing now he was doing 10 years ago i don't know the chick

01:26:55.840 in the movie theater i don't i don't know these people i just i just noticed oh uh yeah lauren uh

01:27:02.720 bober and i don't i don't really cared you know what i mean it's not my my deal i'm not like you know

01:27:07.440 but my i just i just noticed something women we get into these positions of power and we just start 1.00

01:27:13.040 sleeping with everybody i don't know what it is kamala harris like if the vice president did this 1.00

01:27:19.600 what your your normal congresswoman well i can answer your question why they started sleeping 1.00

01:27:24.560 with everybody when they get power well yeah because they're around all the powerful men we love that

01:27:31.200 yeah obviously do you know what i mean but i'm like we're a little different like we can be all

01:27:37.040 influenced and like like it's like a girl will never have gone to church in her life right 0.96

01:27:42.320 then she dates this like catholic or christian guy now she's in church every week you want men 1.00

01:27:47.520 are a little bit more loyal in their political party and like to their friends like i just you

01:27:53.760 know are there exceptional women maybe like one but i just think by and large and then like you know 1.00

01:28:07.440 when the exceptions happen here's the thing like okay now imagine this we're in the society they 0.96

01:28:12.640 say no women in office you guys have been too much of whores you just give away all this money you do 0.97

01:28:19.520 all this stuff right and so we say all the guys get together and say we got to be done with and they 0.96

01:28:24.720 say okay okay now there's a margaret thatcher that comes along right and she's like amazing maybe she was

01:28:30.640 raised by like a king or a ruler because i just imagine i don't know much about thatcher but i'm just

01:28:35.680 imagining this woman was great because usually they're raised by a really good guy and that's

01:28:40.160 how they become so amazing it's like a really smart dad it's like a daddy's girl this is just my guess

01:28:45.360 now as i could be completely off but so my thought is all the guys like when there is an exception it's

01:28:51.440 different than the rule do you know what i mean like they'll let her in but they're like just this

01:28:56.400 one because she's proven to be so good that she can go in you know but we know the rule is get these 0.99

01:29:03.040 chicks out of here i don't know if that's the rule don't you don't you think in modern politics 1.00

01:29:10.080 they they want more women in power i mean they might i want less i'm a sexist so i'm like

01:29:18.080 and because i think to myself and you know i'm in i play sports i've played sports my whole life and 0.96

01:29:23.520 these are i would argue the most like rational more then you get the crazy lesbians but there's a group of 1.00

01:29:30.240 women in sports i'll say that they're usually like hard workers pretty rational whatever and i'm like 0.96

01:29:35.760 they know they're still like emotional it's like once a week or once a month they get we get our

01:29:40.080 periods like so we're all crazy for a month and you want you want them with the nuke button a woman 1.00

01:29:45.680 on her period no no we can't do that no i was just i was just the other i think yesterday i was

01:29:53.920 watching your you get a viral clip in which you're uh asking women if they think they should be

01:30:00.320 leaders and and you ask them what what about on your period and then you're asking the women if

01:30:05.680 they've ever acted differently when they were on their period and they insisted they had not

01:30:11.680 and then you ask the next question which was diabolical which is have any of your partners ever

01:30:17.040 noticed differently well because i realized us women just go through life on like la la mode where 1.00

01:30:24.240 nobody tells us anything we're just like these pretty you know and they're like ah she's pretty

01:30:28.240 whatever and what i realized is like yeah like most of the men don't really complain they're kind of

01:30:35.040 content with life and so you know half of us chicks have no idea how annoying we are to the men 1.00

01:30:40.880 we have no idea you know it's making a sort of analogy that i like to make between big dogs and

01:30:47.200 little dogs have you ever noticed that big dogs big dogs tend to be they'll they'll do whatever you

01:30:54.000 want you're like hey big dog sit down it'll be like but if you have a little yappy dog like i do

01:31:02.640 you'd be like all right dog sit down they'll be like no they can't be controlled and and i've

01:31:13.200 always wondered like why is it so obvious that the big ones are well behaved and little ones are not

01:31:17.920 and then i thought about it it's selective breeding if you were a big dog and you didn't do what you're

01:31:23.440 told they just killed you so you didn't have any more little dogs and if you're a little dog that

01:31:28.880 didn't do what you were told you just thought it was funny i was biting my ankle funny let's have

01:31:33.600 some more of these get some more ankle biters so you're saying it couldn't be the same situation 0.54

01:31:39.760 women are dogs i'm going to use that that's from my next t-shirt men are dogs men are big dogs 0.99

01:31:46.960 but to your point men can't get away with the same things that women can get away with so it's just 0.99

01:31:52.560 incentive yeah but i think i really think like women when we get power we just kind of suck i don't 1.00

01:31:57.760 know what it is like we just i just have no evidence that women do the right thing with power 1.00

01:32:02.000 none so okay imagine this they said you can be anything right to women they said you can do 0.99

01:32:06.480 anything and we're picking only fans this is so crazy they said you can literally do anything ladies 0.97

01:32:12.080 go crazy four percent and i know they say a lie about this stat i did not lie you just can't you

01:32:16.640 include cam models and only fans workers four percent of women four percent that's more than teachers 1.00

01:32:22.000 dr david baker yeah four percent of women are i'm sorry under 35 your age group's a little different

01:32:28.160 over 35 is different under 35 are on only fans or do cam work that does not include that that's because

01:32:34.160 that's what they would do they would be like oh pearl you're selectively getting these chicks on your 1.00

01:32:39.520 show you just pick them you cherry pick one of you find the good women they're in church and i'm like

01:32:44.640 good luck like and i'm like you can't it's like how not to get an only fans chick like i'm not even

01:32:52.400 like because if you include okay that's four percent that means there's more only fans workers than

01:32:57.680 teachers this doesn't include the women that do that are prostitutes that do um low level sex work

01:33:04.960 on instagram i would guess it's like ten percent this is crazy then we think about it then we think

01:33:09.840 about in court right we go to court we're like are we going to be nice to the men and not steal their

01:33:14.080 money oh we steal it they're like okay are you gonna stay with your husband or divorce him we

01:33:18.880 just divorce him you know and so i'm like what evidence and then we get power and politics and

01:33:24.160 what do we do we choose violence war like more likely than men which intimate partner violence 70

01:33:32.400 female we're the most likely ones to kill the babies the kids before and after birth so it's like 1.00

01:33:38.960 what evidence do i have that women do the right thing ever well are men killing it why i would 0.99

01:33:46.080 argue that nobody's good at being a leader it's almost non-existent some get lucky you sort of the

01:33:53.840 dilbert take on it is that some people are in office when lucky things happen and some people are in

01:33:59.280 office when unlucky things happen if there had not been a pandemic wouldn't there have been a second

01:34:05.520 uh a second term of trump i mean it's usually external things and we want the ukraine war be

01:34:13.760 one of the big things that determines who the next leader is and how that goes will determine the legacy

01:34:18.720 of that leader there's a lot of luck involved is what i'm saying and we don't have a lot of leaders

01:34:24.560 who are just crushing it well they all look like they're bumbling through and some are getting lucky

01:34:29.680 well i'll tell you what okay i'll tell you this is my theory to this okay the men like make each

01:34:35.440 other better leaders okay imagine okay imagine you throw like 50 men on an island they'll just bully

01:34:41.200 each other out of being annoying they'll like they'll kind of get a little stronger and better like i

01:34:46.400 really think when men get together they they become i mean don't get me wrong they'll be more crass

01:34:51.120 there's like locker room talk whatever the women just like get worse you know they just become worse 1.00

01:34:57.280 like men it's like they naturally put themselves in a hierarchy that makes sense women just is like 1.00

01:35:02.960 everyone's amazing and special and awesome imagine that nat like that's our default for whatever

01:35:09.440 reason imagine that in charge of a country well here we are because all the politicians are catering

01:35:14.720 to us women well okay that's a lot um i i would add to that one of the things that women are always 1.00

01:35:21.120 surprised at is the amount of violence that men carry with them in their minds all the time oh yeah all

01:35:26.800 through the day and it's because we're the ones who have to stop the violence if it comes in the

01:35:31.600 room right if you and if you and i are sitting in the same room i'm checking the exits and the windows

01:35:37.920 i'm looking at what blunt objects i have to defend myself against the the intruder and you're probably

01:35:43.760 thinking something like well as soon as these guys start fighting i'm going to get out that door

01:35:48.800 yeah like how quickly can i do a light job you know what i mean uh but i i think that having uh

01:35:56.000 violence as your default that even if you don't do any you're always you're always ready for it

01:36:01.440 probably is a good skill for leadership because leadership is implied violence all the time

01:36:07.120 you know follow these rules or people with guns will put you in jail you know or your country is going

01:36:12.560 to be invaded any minute so it's all violence so the the proper management of your violence might

01:36:19.120 come more naturally to people who think violently from the moment they wake up to the time they go to

01:36:24.400 sleep that's possible yeah so what i'm hearing is you're with me get these chicks out of office 1.00

01:36:30.640 i believe there could be some really good female i think nikki haley could be a perfectly good leader if 1.00

01:36:37.120 you like your policies you know policies are separate conversation but she seems like a very

01:36:42.800 capable person you don't think she could do a good job nikki you don't think she could do as well as 1.00

01:36:47.840 chris christie as president i don't know who chris christie is i'm not as i'm more cultural than political

01:36:54.960 he's not breaking through all right i only i met nikki haley once like years ago who uh let's say

01:37:02.240 do you think she would do a worse job than mike pence as president no i'd pick pence would you

01:37:07.920 yeah just because yes okay you're consistent at least you're consistent i i would pick mickey

01:37:15.440 haley over pence even though i liked him as a vice president he was a good vice president no i'd pick

01:37:20.240 him but usually okay i'll tell you i feel like the leaders we don't want are the ones that are more like

01:37:25.920 what women so name one give me give me an example like jeb bush he's kind of you know i just 1.00

01:37:32.080 think you know he's less like masculine when you think of him then like like like a low energy

01:37:38.240 yeah yeah um um like i don't you say obama was he masculine or feminine i mean don't they think

01:37:46.400 he's like a isn't there like a whole i mean i i don't i don't know but you i mean you know but

01:37:53.040 no i think i think the gender preference question the rumors that is yeah are irrelevant to whether he

01:37:59.360 gives off a male or female vibe i'd say he kind of like when he gives his speeches he's more like

01:38:06.160 i don't know you don't see it you don't see it well he's also got that deep voice

01:38:12.560 oh yeah he does he does manly things he well except when he rides his bicycle but uh at least

01:38:18.800 he plays basketball when i think of a guy's guy i think of putin i don't know why he's coming to my

01:38:23.120 head i just see him on a horse you know there there is no biography or autobiography i'd rather

01:38:32.880 read than an honest one about putin like wouldn't you like to know how his actual life is like the

01:38:39.120 real life when he's done work like what does he do after work would you be interested in that because

01:38:45.600 it's not what we do whatever we do not what he's doing no putin like everyone said he was so horrible

01:38:51.360 growing up but i keep accidentally covering like russia bans this and i'm just like based i'm like

01:38:56.400 do i kind of like putin is this like because i think he banned like i don't know what it was but

01:39:02.480 it was something that i agree was the only fans or something well i know he doesn't like wokeness

01:39:07.280 in general yeah so he may be right about that but i think i have to say i have to say something bad

01:39:14.160 about putin now um this is for the people who will be watching this later to make hit pieces on me

01:39:20.800 i am against putin i do not like him okay that's okay i don't everyone i don't really know much

01:39:28.000 about him everyone growing up just said he was bad but i just see a couple policies that i'm like oh

01:39:33.680 okay do i have to say that well no nobody says he's incompetent you know everybody says he's

01:39:40.720 apparently a good operator he knows how to get the job done whatever the job is

01:39:45.040 but uh he might be a little bit evil a little bit evil i don't know much about him well oh my gosh
