Summary

A shorter show this week, partly due to jet lag, partly because I was jetlagged, but mostly because I had a great chat with Brian Lilly, a fun chat with Tasha Carrad on CFRA, and new music, lots of new music.

00:00:00.000 It's the KinsellaCast, starring Warren Kinsella.
00:00:15.000 Hey, it's Warren. Welcome to the KinsellaCast. I'm back from Israel. I'm back from London, then Israel, then Paris, then Calgary.
00:00:23.000 I appeared at an event with Chai Devadai, the brave Columbia University professor.
00:00:32.000 And we appeared at a synagogue in Calgary that I used to pass every single morning on the way to Bishop Carroll High School.
00:00:42.000 And a great event, then back to Toronto, and now I'm back in the county and a bit jet-lagged.
00:00:49.000 It's Mother's Day. Mine is not here. I miss her every minute, not just today.
00:00:57.000 But happy Mother's Day to her and to all of your mothers and all of those of you who are mothers.
00:01:05.000 Happy day. It's sunny where I am.
00:01:08.000 Got a shorter show this week, partly because of the aforementioned jet-lag and just being back from Israel.
00:01:16.000 But I've got a great chat, a fun chat with Brian Lilly, where we mix it up.
00:01:20.000 And Tasha Carrad and I on CFRA. Carl Belanger is away.
00:01:28.000 And new music, lots of new music.
00:01:32.000 I've got Wife Patrol with their song Ruthless.
00:01:37.000 It's Nicole O'Neill, Natasha O'Neill, and Greg O'Neill.
00:01:40.000 And I don't think they're related, but they're from Indianapolis, and it's a great tune.
00:01:46.000 I've got Smut, good name, from Cincinnati.
00:01:50.000 I bet you they're not smutty at all.
00:01:52.000 But they're now in Chicago with this song Sydney Sweeney about the actress that also came out last month.
00:01:58.000 Then Detroiters by Camp Trash, who are from Florida and Dowsing.
00:02:05.000 It's one of those split tunes that also came out in April.
00:02:09.000 And Daisy and Military Gun, who I've played before.
00:02:13.000 They've got a collab.
00:02:15.000 The Pressure Cooler was the one they did previously, which I played on the show,
00:02:20.000 and now they're back with Tall People Don't Live Long, which is not true.
00:02:23.000 I am tall, and I plan to live long.
00:02:25.000 And then maybe, if I can get to it, Natural Causes by Adult Mom.
00:02:30.000 But a shorter show, and music plays a big part of it.
00:02:35.000 So, Mark Carney.
00:02:37.000 He's doing a pretty good job, guys.
00:02:39.000 Sorry, Conservatives.
00:02:40.000 Sorry, New Democrats.
00:02:41.000 But he is.
00:02:42.000 Three big reasons.
00:02:43.000 Number one has to do with that meeting with Donald Trump.
00:02:46.000 If you've worked for a Prime Minister, and I have, your job is just to avoid disaster, pretty much.
00:02:52.000 Achievements are few and far between.
00:02:54.000 So, the job is mainly to keep the boss from stepping on landmines.
00:02:58.000 And there were a lot of landmines in Trump's office this week.
00:03:01.000 They weren't easy to see, because that room has now been done up with so much gold and guilt.
00:03:07.000 It resembles a whorehouse in the Wild West.
00:03:10.000 But the landmines were still there.
00:03:12.000 Trump was going to say something crazy about Canada.
00:03:15.000 That's a given.
00:03:16.000 That's a given.
00:03:17.000 He was going to say something that was wildly, provably false.
00:03:22.000 He was going to make stuff up, just to see how Mark Carney would react.
00:03:25.000 Those were the landmines.
00:03:27.000 And guess what?
00:03:28.000 Mark Carney didn't step on any.
00:03:30.000 Closely resembling the central banker that he is, you know, a job which typically involves listening to idiot politicians saying idiotic things and keeping your cool.
00:03:41.000 He kept his cool.
00:03:43.000 He let Trump talk, and then he delivered the one line he'd flown to Washington to deliver.
00:03:48.000 Namely, that Canada wasn't for sale, ever.
00:03:52.000 Mission accomplished, as George W. Bush might say.
00:03:56.000 Reason number two why I think he's doing well has to do with Pierre Polyev, who Mark Carney wants you to think is his adversary.
00:04:03.000 But he isn't.
00:04:04.000 After blowing a 30-point lead, after losing an election that was in the bag, after getting the pink slip in the riding he'd held for two decades, Pierre Polyev is someone Mark Carney really, really, really wants to keep around.
00:04:18.000 So when a reporter asked Carney about accommodating Polyev's desire to run in an Alberta seat, where a fence post painted blue could win in a landslide, Carney was all magnanimous and whatnot, and he'd do what he could to, you know, assist getting Polyev into the House of Commons, blah, blah, blah.
00:04:39.000 I was impressed by Carney's acting skills on that occasion, because if there's anybody who really, really, really wants to keep Pierre Polyev around, it's Mark Carney.
00:04:49.000 But he didn't show that.
00:04:51.000 He was sort of low-key about it, and the commentariat predictably ran around saying how refreshingly prime ministerial he was and all that crap.
00:04:59.000 But that's crap.
00:05:01.000 Mark Carney gave himself a big gift, and he tricked everybody into thinking he was being a charitable nice guy.
00:05:08.000 Clever.
00:05:09.000 Third reason why I think he's doing well is found in Alberta, where I was back this week.
00:05:15.000 My home province is presently run by Danielle Smith, who I detest, and she is smack dab in the middle of a scandal that could claim lots of political careers, including hers.
00:05:25.000 So she's engaged in a Trump-style distraction operation, trying to inflame everybody about Alberta separation and so on.
00:05:34.000 And it's all bullshit, because Albertans, I can tell you, overwhelmingly love Canada, because the constitutional requirements for separation are basically impossible to achieve.
00:05:44.000 And if anything's driving down the price per barrel, it's the rantings of the lunatic in the Oval Office.
00:05:51.000 Making common cause with him is going to have an unhappy ending for Danielle Smith, guaranteed.
00:05:58.000 But she keeps acting as the cheerleader for the forces of Alberta sovereignty, who, by the way, you could jam into the Calgary Flames dressing room, and you'd still have seats to spare.
00:06:09.000 But she keeps trying to get Mark Carney, this evil central Canadian overlord, to react, but he hasn't. He won't.
00:06:16.000 He's from Alberta, and he's seen this movie before, and he's not stupid. He knows what Smith is doing.
00:06:22.000 So he just shrugs and says non-committal central banker kind of stuff, and it works.
00:06:28.000 Now, is he perfect? No. Hell no.
00:06:31.000 His party still shows an appalling indifference towards anti-Semitism, which is growing in this country, as Douglas Murray pointed out this week, at two appalling levels.
00:06:41.000 His party is reflexively anti-resource in a country with a resource economy, and he still employs Melanesia Lee.
00:06:50.000 These things, however, are all things he can fix, and I remain hopeful that he will.
00:06:55.000 In the meantime, so far so good.
00:06:58.000 Some days, he makes us forget about Justin Trudeau.
00:07:01.000 And that, that is his greatest achievement of all.
00:07:25.000 Filled with heavy burden, and sealed with lessons learned.
00:07:43.000 I made a lesson, sealed the cracks, and went for what is worth.
00:07:50.000 Poised for production.
00:07:52.000 Made in your idle image.
00:07:55.000 Strayed me down to feel good.
00:07:58.000 Negate my perfect sales pitch.
00:08:02.000 She tried it all on climbs and ladders.
00:08:18.000 Axed her heart out, split in shadows.
00:08:21.000 Next to the youth and the girls in the water.
00:08:24.000 All she amounts to is someone's daughter.
00:08:27.000 And that shame won't stop a second on the sun.
00:08:33.000 Now it's just time to barf a voice to grab and run.
00:08:40.000 I'm glad, but I'm naked.
00:08:47.000 So let's have no consequence.
00:08:52.000 I'm feeling and believing that my mind is separate.
00:08:56.000 What they desire, what they expect.
00:08:59.000 Got a mouth full of blood and a chest full of clothing.
00:09:02.000 Not that I'm angry, but you're mad at everything.
00:09:09.000 Maybe I'm difficult.
00:09:37.000 Maybe I'm aggressive.
00:09:40.000 I am just my father.
00:09:43.000 And everyone's impressed with him.
00:09:47.000 So how is it different if I pay no attention?
00:09:50.000 How is it different I'm too tired to please?
00:09:53.000 How is it different if I am exactly the person he wants me to be?
00:09:59.000 I'm tired.
00:10:01.000 I'm tired, but I'm naked.
00:10:03.000 I'm tired, but I'm naked.
00:10:06.000 So we're tired, so I know what's that point.
00:10:11.000 Feeling and believing that my mind is separate.
00:10:15.000 What they desire, what they expect.
00:10:18.000 A mouth full of blood and a chest full of clothing.
00:10:22.000 Man, I'm angry, but you're mad at everything
00:10:27.140 Immortals of men, the effort given
00:10:46.840 When, in the end, she's a woman and you're on again
00:10:55.620 When, in the end, she's a woman and you're on again
00:11:02.560 When, in the end, I'm a woman and you're on me again
00:11:08.560 When, in the end, she's a woman and you're on again
00:11:14.560 I am back
00:11:41.900 on this Mother's Day
00:11:43.500 and happy Mother's Day
00:11:45.380 to all mothers
00:11:46.040 with my
00:11:47.580 Catholic friend
00:11:49.800 Father Brian Lilly
00:11:52.260 you would have made a fine
00:11:53.220 you would have made a fine priest
00:11:55.240 I bet you had family members saying
00:11:57.020 I had family members saying that to me all the time
00:11:59.200 if they only knew the truth
00:12:00.640 yeah great-grandma Healy
00:12:02.380 I think she died believing I was headed to the seminary
00:12:05.080 because until I was probably
00:12:06.900 mid-teens and discovered girls
00:12:08.560 that was the path I was on
00:12:11.280 so it was discussed
00:12:15.360 I did think about it
00:12:16.440 yeah I thought about it too
00:12:17.800 I thought about becoming a Jesuit
00:12:19.000 but I like girls too much
00:12:20.100 so we've got a Pope
00:12:22.180 happened when I was in the air
00:12:24.600 I forget where I was going
00:12:26.840 on the way back from Israel
00:12:28.380 or on the way to Calgary
00:12:29.960 this week
00:12:31.240 and
00:12:31.960 he's a Sox fan
00:12:34.820 Brian
00:12:35.160 like what are we to make of this
00:12:36.780 well the
00:12:38.300 the ongoing joke
00:12:39.780 is that
00:12:40.340 the Vatican chose
00:12:41.400 an American-made Pope
00:12:42.480 to avoid Trump's tariffs
00:12:43.840 interesting choice
00:12:47.700 and
00:12:48.020 and what's interesting
00:12:48.940 and this happens
00:12:49.780 all the time
00:12:50.680 is that
00:12:51.780 you know
00:12:52.840 people try and
00:12:53.720 graft
00:12:54.320 their secular world
00:12:55.900 politics
00:12:56.840 on to whoever
00:12:58.820 the new Pope is
00:12:59.800 and
00:13:00.400 you know
00:13:01.140 Benedict was never
00:13:02.440 as conservative
00:13:03.180 as
00:13:04.040 you know
00:13:04.660 folks claimed
00:13:06.200 Francis was not as liberal
00:13:07.620 as folks claimed
00:13:08.540 but he's an interesting guy
00:13:10.360 he
00:13:10.820 he's called for the
00:13:11.940 release of the hostages
00:13:12.920 as you pointed out to me
00:13:14.060 he has said that
00:13:16.100 Russia is the aggressor
00:13:17.820 in the war against Ukraine
00:13:18.980 that it's an imperialist war
00:13:20.600 and that it's wrong
00:13:22.340 so those are secular positions
00:13:24.300 but you know
00:13:25.240 I was on radio
00:13:27.080 one of my regular hits
00:13:30.140 and the host just kept trying to
00:13:31.960 claim he was super liberal
00:13:33.920 I was like
00:13:34.240 at the end of the day
00:13:35.060 he's still Catholic
00:13:35.800 like he's still upholding
00:13:37.180 Catholic teaching
00:13:37.920 and
00:13:38.240 that's not going to change
00:13:40.360 so
00:13:41.080 yeah
00:13:42.800 it's
00:13:43.320 thoughtful
00:13:45.400 is
00:13:46.100 what I can take from it
00:13:47.580 you know
00:13:47.900 I don't know enough about the guy
00:13:49.200 who really was paying attention to him
00:13:51.000 I think he was
00:13:52.820 you know
00:13:53.280 a top 10 contender
00:13:56.220 but you know
00:13:56.980 the odds
00:13:57.860 that the bookies put on him
00:13:59.040 were still pretty high
00:14:00.420 so
00:14:01.840 trying to understand
00:14:03.060 who he is
00:14:03.580 and he appears to be
00:14:04.500 a thoughtful
00:14:05.620 man of God
00:14:06.660 that we'll
00:14:07.500 learn more
00:14:08.300 one of the things
00:14:09.980 I mean
00:14:10.400 you and I both know
00:14:11.480 because
00:14:12.300 both of us
00:14:13.460 go to mass
00:14:14.520 and we see
00:14:15.480 the number of empty pews
00:14:16.980 I
00:14:17.780 you know
00:14:18.820 I wasn't in the conclave
00:14:20.280 and neither were you
00:14:21.160 would have been
00:14:21.660 made for a good scoop
00:14:22.800 but
00:14:23.740 my strong suspicion
00:14:25.340 is
00:14:25.980 the cardinals
00:14:27.920 would have been
00:14:28.660 looking at
00:14:29.760 you know
00:14:30.500 the shrinking number
00:14:31.440 of Catholics
00:14:32.080 in the developed world
00:14:33.480 places like the United States
00:14:34.780 and Canada
00:14:35.400 and saying
00:14:36.220 we've got to do something
00:14:37.180 to put the brakes on this
00:14:38.440 you know
00:14:38.760 bringing in a guy
00:14:39.560 from Asia or Africa
00:14:40.600 is not going to do it
00:14:41.560 they're fine
00:14:42.800 in those places
00:14:44.120 you know
00:14:44.440 the Catholic Church
00:14:45.100 is growing in those places
00:14:46.380 it's shrinking in our world
00:14:48.120 so I suspect
00:14:48.740 that's part of it
00:14:49.380 okay
00:14:49.800 now I need you to cast
00:14:50.920 your priestly eye
00:14:52.360 over the fortunes
00:14:54.680 of poor old
00:14:55.560 poor old
00:14:56.100 Pierre Paliyev
00:14:57.000 the guy
00:14:57.700 just can't seem
00:14:58.780 to catch a break
00:14:59.620 as I said
00:15:00.160 on CFRA
00:15:00.840 this morning
00:15:01.540 lost his seat
00:15:03.580 lost the election
00:15:04.700 now he's out
00:15:05.940 in Alberta
00:15:06.440 and
00:15:07.360 who
00:15:08.160 who's causing
00:15:09.800 trouble for him
00:15:10.640 out there
00:15:11.120 is Daniel Smith
00:15:12.500 talking about separation
00:15:13.640 which
00:15:13.960 sooner or later
00:15:15.080 I predict
00:15:15.620 he's going to have
00:15:16.380 to condemn
00:15:17.120 or oppose
00:15:18.300 isn't he
00:15:18.840 I think
00:15:21.320 he already
00:15:21.680 has
00:15:22.400 and
00:15:22.980 by the way
00:15:23.500 so was she
00:15:24.400 in her interview
00:15:25.000 with me
00:15:25.500 during the week
00:15:26.860 she knows
00:15:28.960 that there is
00:15:29.460 a growing sentiment
00:15:30.460 in her province
00:15:32.340 but
00:15:33.020 you know
00:15:33.680 what she told me
00:15:34.580 was that
00:15:35.160 she wants
00:15:36.120 to unite Canada
00:15:36.820 she believes
00:15:37.740 that Canada
00:15:38.220 the rest of the country
00:15:39.500 needs to show
00:15:40.200 the West
00:15:40.700 some love
00:15:41.420 but she has
00:15:42.420 a hell of a way
00:15:43.100 of showing it
00:15:43.700 doesn't she
00:15:44.120 I mean
00:15:44.320 she lowered
00:15:44.980 the conditions
00:15:45.780 for having
00:15:46.840 a referendum
00:15:47.400 separation
00:15:48.120 that's not
00:15:48.640 what a federalist
00:15:49.420 would do
00:15:49.880 well
00:15:50.900 I asked her
00:15:51.720 about that
00:15:52.360 and
00:15:52.760 and said
00:15:54.540 but you're
00:15:55.060 doing this
00:15:55.680 and she said
00:15:56.280 that
00:15:57.080 legislation
00:15:58.120 was
00:15:59.260 in the works
00:16:00.120 for about a year
00:16:01.340 because they have
00:16:02.340 citizen
00:16:02.760 initiatives there
00:16:04.040 but the threshold
00:16:05.320 was very high
00:16:06.220 and what she
00:16:07.780 pointed out
00:16:08.240 to me was
00:16:08.760 the threshold
00:16:09.260 is still higher
00:16:10.140 than California's
00:16:11.540 and California
00:16:12.320 has recall
00:16:13.260 and citizen
00:16:13.900 initiatives
00:16:14.420 and their
00:16:16.340 threshold
00:16:16.760 is lower
00:16:17.440 than Alberta's
00:16:18.340 so they've
00:16:18.920 lowered it
00:16:19.360 to make it
00:16:19.840 feasible
00:16:20.220 but this is
00:16:20.760 for all
00:16:21.240 citizen
00:16:21.600 initiatives
00:16:22.000 this is
00:16:22.480 not just
00:16:23.020 about a
00:16:23.420 referendum
00:16:23.840 on separation
00:16:25.560 and
00:16:26.500 I
00:16:27.600 you know
00:16:28.320 I find it
00:16:28.880 weird
00:16:29.200 that
00:16:29.660 Yves-Francois
00:16:30.700 Blanchet
00:16:31.260 who is an
00:16:32.260 actual
00:16:32.680 separatist
00:16:33.340 who calls
00:16:34.420 Canada
00:16:34.800 a joke
00:16:35.280 of a
00:16:35.520 country
00:16:35.880 gets more
00:16:37.220 respect
00:16:37.720 from
00:16:38.200 eastern media
00:16:39.260 including
00:16:39.680 folks like
00:16:40.460 you
00:16:40.740 than
00:16:41.620 Daniel
00:16:42.040 Smith
00:16:42.360 does
00:16:42.720 oh come
00:16:43.180 on
00:16:43.360 you
00:16:43.640 like
00:16:44.060 you
00:16:44.360 and I
00:16:44.620 both
00:16:44.960 love
00:16:45.240 Duseppe
00:16:45.800 and we
00:16:46.420 both
00:16:46.720 like
00:16:46.960 Blanchet
00:16:47.540 come on
00:16:48.060 admit it
00:16:48.960 oh yeah
00:16:49.860 I
00:16:50.220 I
00:16:50.800 used to
00:16:51.820 really enjoy
00:16:52.680 talking to
00:16:53.460 Jill Duseppe
00:16:54.360 when I was
00:16:54.940 on the hill
00:16:55.460 great guy to have
00:16:56.980 a beer with
00:16:57.580 but
00:16:58.120 you know
00:16:59.220 fundamentally
00:16:59.920 disagreed with
00:17:00.760 them
00:17:01.020 but you know
00:17:02.600 well I fundamentally
00:17:03.860 disagree with her
00:17:04.660 I don't think
00:17:05.080 she should make
00:17:05.600 it easier
00:17:06.140 for people
00:17:06.740 to leave
00:17:07.080 Canada
00:17:07.460 I think
00:17:08.100 it's bad
00:17:08.540 for the
00:17:08.820 country
00:17:09.160 and bad
00:17:09.880 for my
00:17:10.200 home
00:17:10.380 province
00:17:10.880 like
00:17:11.220 like
00:17:11.920 I
00:17:12.560 I just
00:17:13.020 think
00:17:13.280 it's
00:17:13.500 gonna
00:17:13.640 bite
00:17:13.920 her
00:17:14.040 in
00:17:14.140 the
00:17:14.260 ass
00:17:14.600 like
00:17:14.920 she
00:17:15.160 is
00:17:15.320 gonna
00:17:15.500 regrue
00:17:15.920 the
00:17:16.320 day
00:17:16.620 she's
00:17:17.720 gonna
00:17:17.800 be
00:17:17.920 fighting
00:17:18.160 a
00:17:18.320 two
00:17:18.500 front
00:17:18.740 roar
00:17:19.060 I've
00:17:19.960 got
00:17:20.260 a
00:17:20.700 podcast
00:17:21.180 coming
00:17:21.420 out
00:17:21.620 tomorrow
00:17:21.940 full
00:17:22.240 comment
00:17:22.600 podcast
00:17:23.020 is all
00:17:23.420 about
00:17:23.640 Alberta
00:17:23.940 separation
00:17:24.480 and
00:17:26.000 so I
00:17:27.000 used
00:17:27.180 some
00:17:27.340 of the
00:17:27.500 clips
00:17:27.720 from my
00:17:28.080 interview
00:17:28.360 with
00:17:28.640 Premier
00:17:28.980 Smith
00:17:29.260 I
00:17:30.100 talked
00:17:30.380 to
00:17:30.640 Dan
00:17:31.100 Arnold
00:17:31.420 who
00:17:32.100 goes
00:17:32.700 by
00:17:32.860 the
00:17:33.000 handle
00:17:33.200 Calgary
00:17:33.660 grip
00:17:34.020 on
00:17:34.660 X
00:17:35.120 about
00:17:36.600 what
00:17:37.440 liberals
00:17:37.900 can do
00:17:38.440 to
00:17:38.900 you know
00:17:39.300 the new
00:17:39.620 liberal
00:17:39.860 government
00:17:40.220 Dan
00:17:40.500 used to
00:17:40.780 work
00:17:40.940 in the
00:17:41.140 Trudeau
00:17:41.740 PMO
00:17:42.960 very smart
00:17:43.940 guy
00:17:44.380 and
00:17:46.660 and then
00:17:48.140 I talked
00:17:48.500 to Preston
00:17:49.260 Manning
00:17:49.560 and I
00:17:49.880 put it
00:17:50.400 to Manning
00:17:50.920 that
00:17:51.200 because he's
00:17:52.900 talking about
00:17:53.360 a western
00:17:53.800 assembly
00:17:54.400 and he
00:17:55.480 believes
00:17:55.920 that the
00:17:56.420 desire
00:17:56.940 for separation
00:17:57.780 extends
00:17:58.520 from
00:17:58.780 Manitoba
00:17:59.360 into the
00:17:59.900 BC interior
00:18:00.620 that it's
00:18:01.120 not just
00:18:01.560 an Alberta
00:18:02.020 thing
00:18:02.360 and I
00:18:04.460 said to
00:18:04.920 him
00:18:05.080 that
00:18:05.960 question
00:18:06.380 are you
00:18:06.860 playing
00:18:07.160 with
00:18:07.380 fire
00:18:07.660 and he
00:18:08.680 said
00:18:09.060 you're
00:18:09.420 playing
00:18:09.600 with
00:18:09.800 fire
00:18:10.100 if you
00:18:10.460 try and
00:18:11.060 tamp
00:18:11.600 this
00:18:11.820 down
00:18:12.220 and
00:18:13.120 stop
00:18:13.780 it
00:18:13.920 you've
00:18:14.120 got to
00:18:14.340 let
00:18:14.480 people
00:18:14.820 talk
00:18:15.320 and
00:18:15.560 discuss
00:18:15.920 it
00:18:16.240 and
00:18:17.500 make
00:18:19.940 an
00:18:20.380 informed
00:18:20.920 decision
00:18:21.660 and he
00:18:22.540 says
00:18:22.740 that's
00:18:23.020 what
00:18:23.160 he's
00:18:23.440 doing
00:18:23.580 I'm
00:18:23.760 not
00:18:23.940 sure
00:18:24.380 that
00:18:24.600 I'd
00:18:24.840 buy
00:18:25.080 it
00:18:25.260 I
00:18:25.880 think
00:18:26.280 there
00:18:26.480 is
00:18:26.640 some
00:18:26.800 playing
00:18:27.020 with
00:18:27.200 fire
00:18:27.460 but
00:18:27.800 I've
00:18:28.980 spoken
00:18:29.300 to
00:18:29.580 Premier
00:18:30.120 Smith
00:18:30.340 a few
00:18:30.680 times
00:18:31.020 about
00:18:31.380 this
00:18:31.600 now
00:18:31.800 in-person
00:18:32.380 and
00:18:33.020 remote
00:18:33.720 video
00:18:34.140 interviews
00:18:34.560 I don't
00:18:35.780 think
00:18:35.980 she's
00:18:36.260 pushing
00:18:36.600 for
00:18:37.400 separation
00:18:37.880 but
00:18:38.260 it
00:18:38.440 is
00:18:38.760 a
00:18:39.820 growing
00:18:40.360 sentiment
00:18:41.120 in
00:18:41.660 Alberta
00:18:42.220 and
00:18:42.980 it's
00:18:43.240 not
00:18:43.740 because
00:18:44.300 it's
00:18:45.540 within
00:18:46.580 her
00:18:46.940 party
00:18:47.320 it's
00:18:47.560 not
00:18:47.720 a
00:18:47.840 growing
00:18:48.060 sentiment
00:18:48.500 in
00:18:48.720 Alberta
00:18:49.040 the polling
00:18:50.760 from
00:18:51.080 people
00:18:51.420 like
00:18:51.640 Angus
00:18:51.980 Reid
00:18:52.220 would
00:18:52.460 show
00:18:52.720 different
00:18:53.420 that
00:18:53.640 it
00:18:53.740 has
00:18:53.960 grown
00:18:54.240 and
00:18:54.940 you've
00:18:55.160 got
00:18:55.340 a
00:18:55.540 third
00:18:56.040 of
00:18:56.500 the
00:18:56.660 population
00:18:57.280 saying
00:18:58.300 that
00:18:58.460 you're
00:18:58.620 going
00:18:58.720 to
00:18:58.800 do
00:18:58.940 this
00:18:59.140 if
00:18:59.280 you
00:18:59.360 don't
00:18:59.700 deal
00:19:00.060 with
00:19:00.260 the
00:19:00.440 issue
00:19:00.780 it's
00:19:01.400 going
00:19:01.520 to
00:19:01.600 become
00:19:01.860 40
00:19:02.180 I
00:19:02.680 fucking
00:19:03.160 hate
00:19:03.520 separatists
00:19:04.180 is why
00:19:04.520 my
00:19:04.720 family
00:19:05.100 was
00:19:05.360 forced
00:19:05.700 out of
00:19:06.020 Quebec
00:19:06.320 ironically
00:19:07.220 moved
00:19:07.780 to
00:19:07.960 Alberta
00:19:08.360 where we
00:19:08.900 remained
00:19:09.300 for 30
00:19:09.760 years
00:19:10.120 to get
00:19:10.920 away
00:19:11.120 from
00:19:11.380 separatists
00:19:12.000 I'll
00:19:12.200 I'll
00:19:12.220 I'll
00:19:12.240 I'll
00:19:12.260 be
00:19:12.380 fucking
00:19:12.860 damned
00:19:13.300 if
00:19:13.500 I
00:19:13.660 sit
00:19:13.940 still
00:19:14.360 when
00:19:15.040 she
00:19:15.280 tries
00:19:15.620 to
00:19:15.780 take
00:19:16.000 my
00:19:16.240 province
00:19:16.700 out of
00:19:17.060 Canada
00:19:17.400 but
00:19:18.240 I don't
00:19:18.840 think
00:19:19.060 she is
00:19:19.580 and
00:19:20.060 it's
00:19:20.400 incumbent
00:19:20.800 on the
00:19:21.260 new
00:19:21.520 government
00:19:22.020 of
00:19:22.820 Mark
00:19:23.140 Carney
00:19:23.540 to
00:19:24.320 show
00:19:24.600 some
00:19:24.880 love
00:19:25.160 and
00:19:25.400 not
00:19:25.720 be
00:19:26.160 like
00:19:26.620 Justin
00:19:26.960 Crudeau
00:19:27.340 was
00:19:27.620 where
00:19:27.800 he
00:19:28.000 campaigned
00:19:28.660 against
00:19:29.100 Alberta
00:19:29.520 in
00:19:29.800 multiple
00:19:30.260 elections
00:19:30.900 to win
00:19:31.700 seats
00:19:32.000 in
00:19:32.220 BC
00:19:32.720 and
00:19:33.560 Ontario
00:19:34.060 I
00:19:34.380 agree
00:19:34.620 well let's
00:19:35.340 talk about
00:19:35.780 that
00:19:36.000 she's
00:19:36.520 talking about
00:19:37.400 her
00:19:37.560 raises
00:19:38.020 my
00:19:38.280 blood
00:19:38.520 pressure
00:19:38.920 so
00:19:39.180 let's
00:19:39.380 talk
00:19:39.620 about
00:19:39.820 something
00:19:40.060 that
00:19:40.220 calms
00:19:40.440 me
00:19:40.620 down
00:19:40.920 she
00:19:41.320 said
00:19:41.880 good
00:19:42.100 things
00:19:42.340 about
00:19:42.620 Mark
00:19:43.020 Carney
00:19:43.320 in
00:19:43.540 the
00:19:43.660 interview
00:19:43.940 by the
00:19:44.300 way
00:19:44.560 and
00:19:44.900 and
00:19:45.360 by
00:19:45.480 the
00:19:45.560 way
00:19:45.680 I
00:19:46.140 don't
00:19:46.520 want
00:19:46.640 to
00:19:46.720 talk
00:19:46.880 about
00:19:47.060 her
00:19:47.160 I
00:19:47.300 don't
00:19:47.460 talk
00:19:47.620 about
00:19:48.320 Pierre
00:19:48.580 Paulie
00:19:48.940 he's
00:19:49.280 more
00:19:49.440 important
00:19:49.860 but
00:19:50.580 I
00:19:50.900 just
00:19:51.140 have
00:19:51.320 to
00:19:51.420 tell
00:19:51.560 you
00:19:51.680 this
00:19:51.840 I
00:19:52.080 have
00:19:52.400 been
00:19:52.520 called
00:19:52.700 a
00:19:52.860 leftist
00:19:53.300 bootlicker
00:19:53.960 pointing
00:19:54.760 out
00:19:55.020 that
00:19:55.220 Mark
00:19:55.640 Carney
00:19:56.120 has
00:19:57.280 a
00:19:57.760 different
00:19:58.480 tone
00:19:59.000 has
00:19:59.260 set
00:19:59.480 a
00:19:59.600 different
00:19:59.820 tone
00:20:00.160 with
00:20:00.780 the
00:20:01.140 with
00:20:03.080 the
00:20:03.520 premiers
00:20:03.840 and
00:20:04.120 I've
00:20:04.340 had
00:20:04.520 four
00:20:04.900 different
00:20:05.160 premiers
00:20:05.520 say
00:20:05.780 that
00:20:05.980 publicly
00:20:06.460 or
00:20:06.800 privately
00:20:07.240 to
00:20:07.560 me
00:20:07.780 and
00:20:09.100 well
00:20:10.140 come
00:20:10.320 on
00:20:10.560 leftist
00:20:11.180 bootleger
00:20:12.880 is a
00:20:13.220 good name
00:20:13.560 for a
00:20:13.820 band
00:20:14.020 isn't
00:20:14.300 it
00:20:14.880 okay
00:20:16.360 well
00:20:16.600 let's
00:20:16.840 talk
00:20:17.120 about
00:20:17.380 that
00:20:17.540 we'll
00:20:17.720 talk
00:20:17.900 about
00:20:18.080 Carney
00:20:18.360 first
00:20:18.880 did
00:20:20.740 okay
00:20:21.040 in his
00:20:21.340 meeting
00:20:21.580 with
00:20:21.800 Trump
00:20:22.080 I
00:20:22.840 thought
00:20:23.280 it
00:20:23.380 was
00:20:23.500 going
00:20:23.640 to
00:20:23.680 be
00:20:23.800 a
00:20:23.920 disaster
00:20:24.420 wasn't
00:20:24.920 a
00:20:25.080 disaster
00:20:25.580 I
00:20:27.020 got
00:20:27.960 really
00:20:28.300 worried
00:20:28.620 at
00:20:28.780 the
00:20:28.900 end
00:20:29.260 when
00:20:29.720 Trump
00:20:30.040 went
00:20:30.260 goes
00:20:30.640 on
00:20:30.880 his
00:20:31.200 rant
00:20:31.580 I
00:20:32.840 posted
00:20:33.240 this
00:20:33.560 section
00:20:33.840 of
00:20:33.960 the
00:20:34.040 video
00:20:34.280 where
00:20:34.540 the
00:20:34.780 last
00:20:35.320 reporter's
00:20:35.940 question
00:20:36.260 was
00:20:36.520 about
00:20:36.740 will
00:20:36.960 you
00:20:37.100 respect
00:20:37.620 you
00:20:37.820 know
00:20:38.000 Canada
00:20:38.600 not
00:20:38.880 wanting
00:20:39.180 the
00:20:39.320 51st
00:20:39.800 state
00:20:40.000 and
00:20:40.140 Carney
00:20:40.380 says
00:20:40.620 a
00:20:40.760 little
00:20:40.860 bit
00:20:41.100 and
00:20:41.800 then
00:20:42.020 Trump
00:20:42.360 goes
00:20:42.640 on
00:20:42.820 a
00:20:42.980 two
00:20:43.300 minute
00:20:43.580 rant
00:20:44.160 we
00:20:44.720 don't
00:20:44.880 need
00:20:45.080 their
00:20:45.240 autos
00:20:45.620 we
00:20:46.180 don't
00:20:46.820 need
00:20:47.020 anything
00:20:47.440 I
00:20:48.100 don't
00:20:49.140 know
00:20:49.260 why
00:20:49.400 we
00:20:49.580 subsidize
00:20:50.200 them
00:20:50.420 and
00:20:50.860 Carney
00:20:51.260 trying
00:20:51.520 to
00:20:51.680 interject
00:20:52.120 and
00:20:52.800 I'm
00:20:52.940 thinking
00:20:53.100 please
00:20:53.440 put
00:20:53.620 your
00:20:53.740 hand
00:20:53.880 down
00:20:54.040 don't
00:20:54.440 say
00:20:54.640 anything
00:20:54.960 now
00:20:55.320 is
00:20:55.420 not
00:20:55.580 the
00:20:55.720 time
00:20:55.900 to
00:20:56.020 say
00:20:56.180 anything
00:20:56.460 because
00:20:57.100 I
00:20:57.540 felt
00:20:57.780 like
00:20:57.980 if
00:20:58.160 he
00:20:58.400 said
00:20:58.720 something
00:20:59.160 in
00:20:59.740 the
00:20:59.880 middle
00:21:00.040 of
00:21:00.180 that
00:21:00.380 rant
00:21:00.720 and
00:21:00.860 said
00:21:00.980 well
00:21:01.120 you're
00:21:01.300 wrong
00:21:01.600 you don't
00:21:02.460 subsidize
00:21:03.080 this
00:21:03.240 that
00:21:03.860 would
00:21:04.020 have
00:21:04.140 been
00:21:04.320 the
00:21:04.480 Zelensky
00:21:04.900 moment
00:21:05.300 and
00:21:06.240 Carney
00:21:06.800 couldn't
00:21:07.240 interrupt
00:21:07.700 him
00:21:07.880 and
00:21:09.200 Trump
00:21:09.840 gets
00:21:10.080 to
00:21:10.240 the
00:21:10.380 end
00:21:10.560 and
00:21:10.700 says
00:21:10.900 okay
00:21:11.280 thank
00:21:11.560 you
00:21:11.640 very
00:21:11.840 much
00:21:12.200 and
00:21:12.520 I
00:21:14.680 was
00:21:14.780 like
00:21:14.920 thank
00:21:15.420 God
00:21:15.760 because
00:21:16.080 otherwise
00:21:16.400 it
00:21:17.040 would
00:21:17.420 have
00:21:17.660 been
00:21:17.980 a
00:21:18.620 disaster
00:21:18.920 I
00:21:19.080 think
00:21:19.260 he
00:21:19.400 handled
00:21:19.760 it
00:21:19.960 as
00:21:20.220 well
00:21:20.720 as
00:21:20.880 he
00:21:21.000 could
00:21:21.240 my
00:21:22.100 criticism
00:21:22.620 is
00:21:23.120 only
00:21:23.440 that
00:21:23.660 he
00:21:23.780 quickly
00:21:24.060 went
00:21:24.320 from
00:21:24.500 elbows
00:21:24.900 up
00:21:25.120 to
00:21:25.280 thumbs
00:21:25.560 up
00:21:25.860 you've
00:21:26.400 seen
00:21:26.540 the
00:21:26.680 photo
00:21:26.920 of him
00:21:27.240 with
00:21:27.440 the
00:21:27.540 thumbs
00:21:27.800 up
00:21:28.020 standing
00:21:28.340 next
00:21:28.620 to
00:21:28.700 Trump
00:21:28.980 he
00:21:29.600 did
00:21:29.840 exactly
00:21:30.380 the
00:21:30.620 type
00:21:30.840 of
00:21:30.980 meeting
00:21:31.240 that
00:21:31.460 any
00:21:31.760 leader
00:21:32.040 would
00:21:32.220 have
00:21:32.420 to
00:21:32.560 do
00:21:32.700 in
00:21:32.820 that
00:21:33.000 situation
00:21:33.540 and
00:21:34.440 it's
00:21:34.600 also
00:21:34.800 exactly
00:21:35.280 what
00:21:35.580 he
00:21:35.720 said
00:21:36.020 Pierre
00:21:36.300 Poliev
00:21:36.700 would
00:21:36.980 do
00:21:37.260 when
00:21:38.420 he
00:21:38.660 said
00:21:39.040 if
00:21:39.320 Poliev
00:21:39.680 wins
00:21:40.060 he
00:21:40.220 will
00:21:40.360 kneel
00:21:40.740 before
00:21:41.100 Trump
00:21:41.400 you
00:21:42.040 know
00:21:42.560 well
00:21:43.620 at least
00:21:43.880 we
00:21:44.040 didn't
00:21:44.280 give
00:21:44.460 him
00:21:44.580 a
00:21:44.760 jet
00:21:45.120 like
00:21:45.840 we
00:21:45.980 didn't
00:21:46.200 do
00:21:46.340 that
00:21:46.880 if
00:21:48.340 we
00:21:48.460 could
00:21:48.620 have
00:21:48.720 given
00:21:48.920 him
00:21:49.180 we
00:21:49.540 should
00:21:49.740 have
00:21:49.840 given
00:21:50.060 him
00:21:50.180 an
00:21:50.320 avro
00:21:50.680 arrow
00:21:51.060 that
00:21:51.460 would
00:21:51.600 have
00:21:51.680 been
00:21:51.800 symbolic
00:21:52.520 an
00:21:53.600 Inuit
00:21:53.880 soap
00:21:54.200 sculpture
00:21:54.620 remember
00:21:55.060 in the
00:21:55.420 80s
00:21:55.920 everything
00:21:56.480 that
00:21:56.740 happened
00:21:57.000 in
00:21:57.180 Canada
00:21:57.520 you
00:21:58.260 know
00:21:58.360 you
00:21:58.640 get
00:21:59.040 presented
00:21:59.500 with
00:21:59.740 an
00:21:59.860 Inuit
00:22:00.120 soap
00:22:00.480 sculpture
00:22:00.880 until

00:22:01.920 Chrétien
00:22:02.340 God
00:22:02.680 Lover
00:22:03.000 would
00:22:03.340 use
00:22:03.620 one
00:22:03.880 to
00:22:04.140 dispatch

00:22:07.060 Pierre
00:22:08.300 Polly
00:22:08.580 Carnie
00:22:10.520 did
00:22:10.700 well
00:22:10.940 this
00:22:11.200 week
00:22:11.480 and
00:22:13.040 he
00:22:13.840 had
00:22:13.960 a
00:22:14.180 meeting
00:22:14.620 with
00:22:14.800 the

00:22:15.700 day
00:22:16.000 and
00:22:16.880 he's
00:22:17.320 going
00:22:17.540 to
00:22:17.740 see
00:22:17.960 them
00:22:18.400 in
00:22:19.000 Saskatoon
00:22:19.600 he

00:22:21.180 ministers
00:22:21.520 meeting
00:22:21.880 June
00:22:22.140 1st
00:22:22.480 and
00:22:22.640 2nd
00:22:22.960 is
00:22:23.100 in
00:22:23.280 Saskatoon
00:22:23.760 he's
00:22:24.000 not
00:22:24.160 summoning
00:22:24.560 them
00:22:24.700 to
00:22:24.860 Ottawa
00:22:25.240 he's
00:22:26.400 going
00:22:26.620 into
00:22:26.860 hostile
00:22:27.300 territory
00:22:27.960 we're
00:22:29.700 going
00:22:29.840 to
00:22:29.940 have
00:22:30.320 you
00:22:30.940 know
00:22:31.060 a

00:22:32.580 by
00:22:32.820 then
00:22:33.100 he's
00:22:33.700 got
00:22:33.820 to
00:22:33.920 show
00:22:34.240 not
00:22:35.000 just
00:22:35.220 the
00:22:35.340 different
00:22:35.540 tone
00:22:35.780 he's
00:22:35.940 got
00:22:36.060 to
00:22:36.140 show
00:22:36.300 some
00:22:36.560 concrete

00:22:42.640 as
00:22:42.820 prime
00:22:43.060 minister
00:22:43.440 wouldn't
00:22:43.880 that
00:22:44.080 be
00:22:44.220 nice
00:22:44.480 okay
00:22:44.820 Pierre
00:22:45.240 Polly
00:22:45.560 poor
00:22:45.920 guy
00:22:46.200 can't

00:22:51.300 in
00:22:51.460 Alberta
00:22:51.920 he's
00:22:52.620 going
00:22:52.740 to
00:22:52.860 win
00:22:53.060 in
00:22:53.220 that
00:22:53.420 by
00:22:53.760 election
00:22:54.180 but
00:22:54.420 he's
00:22:54.600 got
00:22:54.720 to
00:22:54.880 cool
00:22:55.140 his
00:22:55.380 heels
00:22:55.680 until
00:22:56.320 well
00:22:57.560 I guess
00:22:57.840 it'll
00:22:58.000 take
00:22:58.220 a
00:22:58.360 while
00:22:58.780 I
00:22:59.560 predict
00:23:00.040 that
00:23:00.320 Mr.
00:23:00.960 Carney
00:23:01.520 is
00:23:01.800 going
00:23:01.960 to
00:23:02.020 be
00:23:02.160 able
00:23:02.340 to
00:23:02.480 secure
00:23:02.800 a
00:23:02.980 couple
00:23:03.160 new
00:23:03.380 Democrats
00:23:03.860 with
00:23:04.380 the
00:23:04.720 promise
00:23:05.560 of
00:23:05.820 cabinet
00:23:06.240 positions
00:23:06.860 and
00:23:07.640 he's
00:23:07.820 going
00:23:07.960 to
00:23:08.020 get
00:23:08.200 a
00:23:08.300 majority
00:23:08.740 what
00:23:09.400 does
00:23:09.540 that
00:23:09.780 mean
00:23:10.040 if
00:23:10.240 it
00:23:10.440 transforms
00:23:10.980 into
00:23:11.380 a
00:23:11.560 majority
00:23:11.920 for
00:23:12.220 Polly
00:23:12.560 I
00:23:12.960 suspect
00:23:15.800 some
00:23:16.080 people
00:23:16.320 would
00:23:16.480 find
00:23:16.680 some
00:23:16.900 way
00:23:17.080 to
00:23:17.300 blame
00:23:17.680 him
00:23:17.860 about
00:23:18.140 that
00:23:18.420 as
00:23:18.640 well
00:23:18.880 what
00:23:19.120 do
00:23:19.220 you
00:23:19.320 think
00:23:19.500 of
00:23:19.680 his
00:23:20.000 prospects
00:23:20.580 what
00:23:20.920 is
00:23:21.220 his
00:23:21.400 future
00:23:21.820 I
00:23:23.980 haven't
00:23:24.360 seen
00:23:24.560 the
00:23:24.720 knives
00:23:24.980 come
00:23:25.220 out
00:23:25.420 yet
00:23:25.760 I
00:23:26.580 will
00:23:26.980 remind
00:23:27.380 people
00:23:27.760 that
00:23:28.040 Andrew
00:23:28.380 Shear
00:23:28.680 lost
00:23:29.120 in
00:23:29.780 October
00:23:30.820 2021
00:23:31.660 he
00:23:32.980 was
00:23:33.160 dispatched
00:23:33.640 in
00:23:33.880 2019
00:23:35.280 he
00:23:36.200 was
00:23:36.400 dispatched
00:23:36.880 in
00:23:37.120 December
00:23:37.620 Aaron
00:23:39.980 O'Toole
00:23:40.380 lost
00:23:40.840 in
00:23:41.180 September
00:23:41.740 of
00:23:42.880 21
00:23:43.460 and
00:23:44.140 was
00:23:44.320 dispatched
00:23:44.800 in
00:23:45.000 February
00:23:45.340 of
00:23:45.540 22
00:23:46.060 how
00:23:46.360 do
00:23:46.500 you
00:23:46.620 remember
00:23:47.040 this
00:23:47.360 stuff
00:23:47.760 like
00:23:48.200 how
00:23:48.820 big
00:23:49.180 is
00:23:49.360 your
00:23:49.640 brain
00:23:50.380 for
00:23:50.660 this
00:23:50.840 kind
00:23:51.060 of
00:23:51.140 information
00:23:51.720 well
00:23:52.680 I've
00:23:53.120 had
00:23:53.240 to
00:23:53.360 talk
00:23:53.640 about
00:23:53.840 it
00:23:53.960 recently
00:23:54.260 and
00:23:54.460 write
00:23:54.640 about
00:23:54.840 it
00:23:54.980 recently
00:23:55.340 so
00:23:55.620 you
00:23:56.980 could
00:23:57.200 have
00:23:57.340 said
00:23:57.580 well
00:23:57.900 actually
00:23:58.360 Warren
00:23:58.700 I
00:23:58.860 have
00:23:58.980 a
00:23:59.080 very
00:23:59.260 big
00:23:59.520 brain
00:23:59.860 well
00:24:00.860 I
00:24:01.860 described
00:24:02.260 my
00:24:02.540 the way
00:24:03.600 my
00:24:03.800 brain
00:24:04.060 works
00:24:04.380 is
00:24:04.540 like
00:24:04.820 the
00:24:05.320 vent
00:24:05.820 in
00:24:05.960 a
00:24:06.120 dryer
00:24:06.440 you know
00:24:06.800 just
00:24:07.040 collect
00:24:07.380 the
00:24:07.580 lint
00:24:07.860 that's
00:24:10.080 great
00:24:10.340 oh you
00:24:10.600 got to
00:24:10.800 use that
00:24:11.180 in a
00:24:11.440 call
00:24:11.700 that's
00:24:12.120 so good
00:24:12.460 okay
00:24:12.820 so
00:24:13.320 yeah
00:24:13.560 it took
00:24:14.240 a while
00:24:14.600 for the
00:24:14.900 knives
00:24:15.140 to
00:24:15.280 come
00:24:15.440 out
00:24:15.620 yeah
00:24:16.040 um
00:24:16.720 yeah
00:24:17.500 I've
00:24:17.660 been
00:24:17.800 talking
00:24:18.180 to
00:24:18.400 different
00:24:19.140 factions
00:24:19.600 like
00:24:19.800 every
00:24:20.080 party
00:24:20.380 has
00:24:20.640 factions
00:24:21.080 right
00:24:21.420 and
00:24:22.020 sometimes
00:24:22.420 it's
00:24:22.660 just
00:24:22.800 based
00:24:23.060 on
00:24:23.240 personality
00:24:23.900 I
00:24:24.720 have
00:24:25.000 not
00:24:25.440 heard
00:24:25.880 anyone
00:24:26.780 saying
00:24:27.300 Pierre
00:24:27.560 has
00:24:27.760 to
00:24:27.900 go
00:24:28.160 yeah
00:24:28.660 um
00:24:29.660 and
00:24:30.700 I
00:24:31.240 haven't
00:24:31.460 heard
00:24:31.640 anybody
00:24:32.100 trying
00:24:32.660 to
00:24:32.860 blame
00:24:33.380 him
00:24:33.760 for
00:24:34.340 the
00:24:35.380 loss
00:24:35.900 so
00:24:36.340 that's
00:24:37.180 that's
00:24:38.160 interesting
00:24:38.560 there was
00:24:38.920 some
00:24:39.100 you know
00:24:39.320 some
00:24:39.500 anger
00:24:40.000 in the
00:24:40.760 hardcore
00:24:42.320 online
00:24:43.360 supporters
00:24:43.980 of
00:24:44.200 Paliyev
00:24:44.640 when
00:24:45.220 Joe Rogan
00:24:45.940 said
00:24:47.120 I invited
00:24:47.940 him on
00:24:48.340 and he
00:24:48.580 didn't
00:24:48.800 come on
00:24:49.820 and he
00:24:51.360 called
00:24:51.580 Pierre a
00:24:52.000 dumbass
00:24:52.480 for not
00:24:52.840 taking
00:24:53.140 the
00:24:53.340 invitation
00:24:53.860 um
00:24:54.960 you know
00:24:56.300 that's
00:24:57.140 about the
00:24:57.560 extent of
00:24:58.100 anger
00:24:58.480 I've seen
00:24:58.860 directed
00:24:59.260 at him
00:24:59.620 so
00:24:59.820 he's
00:25:00.540 safe
00:25:00.740 if
00:25:01.300 Carney
00:25:03.280 does
00:25:03.800 turn this
00:25:04.400 into a
00:25:04.720 majority
00:25:05.180 and he's
00:25:05.540 two-seat
00:25:06.040 shy
00:25:10.000 recounts
00:25:11.400 ongoing
00:25:11.960 um
00:25:13.540 if Carney
00:25:14.300 does turn
00:25:14.840 it into
00:25:15.180 a majority
00:25:15.720 one person
00:25:17.280 that will
00:25:17.640 not be
00:25:18.480 breathing down
00:25:19.320 Paliyev's
00:25:19.780 neck
00:25:20.000 for
00:25:20.280 conservative
00:25:21.780 leader
00:25:22.120 is Doug
00:25:22.520 Ford
00:25:22.800 that's
00:25:23.380 true
00:25:23.620 because
00:25:24.760 Ford
00:25:25.140 can you
00:25:25.680 imagine
00:25:26.000 Doug
00:25:26.300 Ford
00:25:26.520 as
00:25:26.680 opposition
00:25:27.160 leader
00:25:27.480 at the
00:25:27.760 federal
00:25:28.000 level
00:25:28.380 no
00:25:28.820 he would
00:25:30.240 be
00:25:30.420 miserable
00:25:30.960 I don't
00:25:31.380 know why
00:25:31.800 it's like
00:25:32.680 why do
00:25:33.320 people think
00:25:33.900 he wants
00:25:34.400 that job
00:25:35.220 like it's
00:25:36.120 just
00:25:36.300 not a lot
00:25:37.260 of fun
00:25:37.640 on one
00:25:38.500 level he
00:25:38.960 does
00:25:39.280 he wants
00:25:39.780 to be
00:25:40.040 prime
00:25:40.300 minister
00:25:40.660 um
00:25:41.980 and if
00:25:42.760 there had
00:25:43.040 been a
00:25:43.420 weak
00:25:43.780 minority
00:25:44.320 maybe he
00:25:45.780 would have
00:25:46.160 uh
00:25:47.000 gone for
00:25:47.520 that or
00:25:48.000 if there
00:25:48.220 was a
00:25:48.460 chance to
00:25:48.960 do what
00:25:49.420 Carney did
00:25:49.940 and just
00:25:50.220 go straight
00:25:50.700 into the
00:25:51.060 PM's job
00:25:51.700 he'd be
00:25:52.060 all over
00:25:52.440 that um
00:25:53.820 he wants
00:25:54.840 to show
00:25:55.300 people that
00:25:55.820 he can
00:25:56.320 do it
00:25:56.720 but you
00:25:57.480 know this
00:25:57.760 is a guy
00:25:58.140 who gets
00:25:58.520 excited about
00:25:59.200 calling and
00:26:00.800 and getting
00:26:01.380 the bureaucrats
00:26:02.020 to fix the
00:26:02.980 pawhole
00:26:03.440 outside of
00:26:04.040 Mrs.
00:26:04.360 Smith's
00:26:04.860 driveway
00:26:05.940 and you
00:26:07.600 know can
00:26:07.940 you imagine
00:26:08.360 that it's
00:26:08.860 the leader
00:26:09.160 of the
00:26:09.360 opposition
00:26:09.840 you gotta
00:26:10.600 get a
00:26:11.180 crew out
00:26:11.600 there
00:26:11.880 he does
00:26:12.700 pawhole
00:26:13.140 fix
00:26:13.500 he would
00:26:15.660 hate it
00:26:16.200 like debating
00:26:17.140 uh you know
00:26:19.020 emergency debates
00:26:20.020 on uh some
00:26:21.280 obscure foreign
00:26:22.340 affairs issue
00:26:23.120 he'd shoot
00:26:24.560 himself
00:26:24.980 yeah
00:26:25.660 yeah
00:26:26.260 well then it
00:26:27.320 then it's
00:26:27.940 Pierre's job
00:26:28.880 for the foreseeable
00:26:29.740 future
00:26:30.120 particularly if it
00:26:31.400 becomes a majority
00:26:32.240 because as you
00:26:32.820 point out
00:26:33.380 who would want
00:26:34.520 the job
00:26:34.980 at that point
00:26:35.740 but and
00:26:36.700 you know
00:26:37.360 there's
00:26:37.760 even if
00:26:39.220 they don't
00:26:40.000 get people
00:26:40.900 to cross
00:26:41.300 the floor
00:26:41.780 it's
00:26:42.940 pretty much
00:26:43.720 a de facto
00:26:44.160 majority
00:26:44.800 for a couple
00:26:45.360 of years
00:26:45.780 the NDP
00:26:46.780 decimated
00:26:47.980 yeah
00:26:48.560 you know
00:26:48.860 they're down
00:26:49.240 to seven
00:26:49.760 seats
00:26:50.260 uh there's
00:26:51.240 talk of how
00:26:51.820 they should
00:26:52.340 you know
00:26:52.900 should they
00:26:53.240 get official
00:26:53.720 party status
00:26:54.660 if I was
00:26:55.280 the liberals
00:26:55.720 the answer
00:26:56.180 would be
00:26:56.520 no
00:26:56.860 if I was
00:26:57.720 the conservatives
00:26:58.320 I'd be
00:26:58.840 saying yes
00:26:59.400 yes please
00:27:00.100 tell me why
00:27:00.980 explain why
00:27:01.780 um
00:27:02.660 I did a video
00:27:03.660 on this yesterday
00:27:04.340 and really pissed
00:27:04.980 off a lot
00:27:05.420 of my audience
00:27:06.060 who hate
00:27:07.040 the NDP
00:27:07.580 uh from the
00:27:09.200 conservative side
00:27:10.020 and I just
00:27:10.460 look
00:27:10.820 you need the NDP
00:27:13.080 to be stronger
00:27:13.940 for the next election
00:27:15.600 if you let them
00:27:17.200 slowly wither
00:27:18.160 and die
00:27:18.740 which will happen
00:27:19.540 if Bobby Lewis
00:27:20.160 takes over
00:27:20.680 and you know
00:27:21.420 engages
00:27:21.920 in the elite
00:27:22.340 manifesto
00:27:23.040 um
00:27:24.100 but you know
00:27:25.320 if they wither
00:27:25.920 and die
00:27:26.640 then
00:27:27.620 they're not
00:27:28.640 there to
00:27:29.360 take votes
00:27:30.420 away from
00:27:30.780 the liberals
00:27:30.960 very good point
00:27:31.600 very good point
00:27:32.900 so you know
00:27:33.580 Doug Ford
00:27:34.300 is uh
00:27:35.580 very smart
00:27:37.220 politically
00:27:37.700 uh
00:27:38.280 he
00:27:38.620 he made sure
00:27:39.800 to do little
00:27:40.940 things to keep
00:27:41.620 the NDP
00:27:42.100 propped up
00:27:42.880 ahead of the
00:27:43.280 election
00:27:43.580 he extended
00:27:44.560 the per vote
00:27:45.240 subsidy
00:27:45.760 that he had
00:27:46.220 promised to
00:27:46.980 get rid of
00:27:47.560 he kept it
00:27:48.420 around
00:27:48.820 it's at a
00:27:49.300 lower rate
00:27:49.800 but it's
00:27:50.220 still around
00:27:50.880 why
00:27:51.840 not because
00:27:52.600 he believes
00:27:53.180 in it
00:27:53.520 not that his
00:27:54.220 party needs
00:27:54.880 it
00:27:55.060 but the
00:27:55.700 Ontario
00:27:56.420 NDP
00:27:56.840 would be
00:27:57.320 decimated
00:27:57.800 without it
00:27:58.440 that would
00:27:59.180 have made
00:27:59.480 Bonnie Crombie
00:28:00.180 and the
00:28:00.420 Ontario
00:28:00.800 Liberals
00:28:01.220 stronger
00:28:01.680 so he
00:28:02.660 kept his
00:28:03.100 opposition
00:28:03.600 alive
00:28:04.940 so that they
00:28:06.080 could help him
00:28:06.560 with the
00:28:06.880 election
00:28:07.180 and split
00:28:07.820 yeah
00:28:08.740 I worked for
00:28:09.420 a certain
00:28:09.840 prime minister
00:28:10.480 who was
00:28:11.020 familiar with
00:28:11.620 that as well
00:28:12.280 he benefited
00:28:13.540 from a
00:28:14.620 split
00:28:15.000 well I hope
00:28:16.360 Alberta doesn't
00:28:17.560 split
00:28:17.940 I'm glad we
00:28:18.820 got a Pope
00:28:19.400 that's talking
00:28:20.100 about the
00:28:20.600 hostages
00:28:21.200 like it's
00:28:22.100 uh
00:28:22.440 kind of a
00:28:22.960 mixed bag
00:28:23.440 week
00:28:23.780 but
00:28:24.240 it was
00:28:25.020 Pope
00:28:25.380 yeah
00:28:26.360 did you see
00:28:27.360 the Sun
00:28:27.740 front page
00:28:29.340 this is why
00:28:30.180 people don't
00:28:30.780 understand why
00:28:31.520 you know
00:28:32.100 intellectuals like
00:28:33.060 you and I
00:28:33.440 write for
00:28:33.800 tabloids
00:28:34.380 but we
00:28:35.140 love tabloids
00:28:36.060 and the
00:28:36.460 best part
00:28:36.840 about writing
00:28:37.380 for a
00:28:37.700 tabloid
00:28:38.140 is that
00:28:38.760 front page
00:28:39.620 that everybody
00:28:40.220 sees and you
00:28:41.040 get to have
00:28:41.400 fun with it
00:28:41.960 and that was
00:28:42.420 a great cover
00:28:43.120 well listen
00:28:44.320 man
00:28:44.660 um
00:28:45.340 happy
00:28:46.420 Mother's
00:28:47.040 Day
00:28:47.360 and happy
00:28:48.520 Pope
00:28:48.960 Week
00:28:49.360 and all
00:28:50.000 of that
00:28:50.320 stuff
00:28:50.640 very grateful
00:28:51.340 for your
00:28:51.880 insight
00:28:52.360 as usual
00:28:53.440 and I'm
00:28:53.780 glad to be
00:28:54.220 back in
00:28:54.980 North America
00:28:56.060 look forward
00:28:56.980 to getting
00:28:57.880 together at
00:28:58.440 the diner
00:28:58.800 soon
00:28:59.040 thank you
00:29:00.140 talk soon
00:29:00.720 there's a place
00:29:24.900 where the ideals
00:29:25.860 can't see
00:29:27.500 touch
00:29:27.900 taste
00:29:28.240 smell
00:29:28.560 here
00:29:29.120 but like a
00:29:29.980 wound
00:29:30.300 it knows
00:29:30.980 how to heal
00:29:31.840 I know it
00:29:33.400 you know it
00:29:34.720 there's a thread
00:29:35.600 that passes
00:29:36.460 through
00:29:37.220 every hero
00:29:38.460 and villain
00:29:39.000 is true
00:29:39.760 same thread
00:29:40.920 passing right
00:29:41.640 through you
00:29:42.420 you know it
00:29:44.100 I know it
00:29:55.860 I'm a jog
00:29:57.100 in an
00:29:57.520 endless
00:29:58.060 no
00:29:58.700 you
00:29:59.620 know them
00:30:00.420 know me
00:30:01.160 know me
00:30:01.780 and now
00:30:02.460 I can't
00:30:03.180 let it
00:30:03.520 be
00:30:04.120 ruthless
00:30:05.280 ruthless
00:30:06.780 everybody
00:30:07.600 is an
00:30:08.220 island
00:30:08.600 stay
00:30:09.220 stay
00:30:09.840 awake
00:30:10.520 it's all
00:30:11.180 one
00:30:11.520 play
00:30:11.860 there
00:30:12.500 wasn't there
00:30:13.220 my voice
00:30:13.880 at the gate
00:30:14.700 and so you
00:30:15.540 feel
00:30:15.980 and so you
00:30:16.920 feel
00:30:17.280 ruthless
00:30:18.860 ruthless
00:30:20.860 ruthless
00:30:22.860 ruthless
00:30:23.860 oh
00:30:27.060 perspectives
00:30:31.800 oh
00:30:36.360 Strom
00:30:41.200 wins
00:30:48.860 oh
00:30:49.860 When you're born in the U.S.A., is your black house statuary?
00:31:06.000 Did you die in the home of the brave?
00:31:09.640 Ruthless, Ruthless, everybody is an isle of state
00:31:13.580 Beneath the waves, it's all one play
00:31:16.240 But all the land, the war is at the gate
00:31:19.040 And so you feel, and so you feel
00:31:25.300 Ruthless, Ruthless, Ruthless
00:31:32.600 Oh, don't you know Ruthless
00:31:39.400 Oh, don't you know Ruthless
00:31:44.600 Oh
00:31:49.040 This is CFRA Live, Sunday Political Panel
00:32:15.800 And welcome to it on a Sunday morning
00:32:20.160 Joining us on our Political Panel this morning is Tasha Carradine
00:32:22.860 She's an author, a political columnist for the National Post
00:32:25.120 And a writer for GZERO Media
00:32:26.460 Tasha, good morning and happy Mother's Day
00:32:28.520 Thank you, good morning
00:32:30.320 And Warren Kinsella is also here
00:32:32.200 He's a strategist and Post Media columnist
00:32:33.980 You can read his latest in the Toronto Sun
00:32:35.860 And Warren, back from jet-setting
00:32:37.880 How are you?
00:32:38.920 Great, and happy Mother's Day to Tasha
00:32:41.400 And to all the moms
00:32:42.420 And to everybody celebrating all of their mothers out there for sure
00:32:45.300 On this Sunday morning
00:32:46.180 Lots to get to this week in terms of what's happened post-election here
00:32:49.860 We did get our first meeting between Mark Carney and Donald Trump
00:32:53.140 And yesterday, guys, I was joking
00:32:54.540 This was kind of the art of political butt-kissing in many ways
00:32:57.480 A new book being written
00:32:59.400 But is this, I'll start with you, Warren
00:33:01.440 Is this a good start, in your view, to kind of lay the groundwork
00:33:04.320 For some kind of future relationship between our two countries?
00:33:09.360 I think so
00:33:10.540 But, you know, my rule of thumb with Trump
00:33:14.080 As I've said to you guys before
00:33:15.580 Is you've got to pay attention to what he does
00:33:17.840 Not what he says
00:33:18.980 He obviously really disliked Justin Trudeau
00:33:22.980 And he wanted to emphasize that
00:33:26.160 By being somewhat nicer to Mark Carney
00:33:29.780 You know, it was 30 minutes in front of the media
00:33:33.540 And Carney spoke for three minutes
00:33:36.080 But Carney delivered the line
00:33:38.500 I think he flew all the way to Washington to deliver
00:33:41.140 Which is, Canada's not for sale
00:33:43.360 That's what all of us wanted to see
00:33:45.080 And he did well
00:33:47.600 You know, I heard from
00:33:48.880 I've actually probably heard from more Tories than Liberals
00:33:52.120 Saying, you know what?
00:33:53.720 It's nice to have an adult back in the Prime Minister's shop
00:33:58.180 And they were pleased
00:34:00.420 So I think most people were anticipating disaster
00:34:03.740 You always have to with Trump
00:34:05.180 And Carney acquitted himself quite well
00:34:08.140 So, so far, so good
00:34:09.040 But should we be breaking out the champagne
00:34:11.600 And saying happy times are here again?
00:34:13.720 No, because Donald Trump's still there
00:34:16.040 And, you know, he could do something insane this afternoon
00:34:19.020 And we'll be back at it
00:34:20.180 Just on that note, Warren, because, you know
00:34:22.820 There was the U.S. Ambassador to Canada
00:34:24.640 Saying this week that after this meeting
00:34:26.180 You know, the 51st state stuff
00:34:28.060 It's over now
00:34:28.720 It's over now
00:34:29.420 But it's really hard to predict
00:34:31.640 You know, Donald Trump's speech
00:34:33.960 What he says
00:34:35.080 Things that he announces
00:34:35.940 Things that he comes up with off the cuff
00:34:38.020 Do you think the 51st state stuff is really over?
00:34:40.940 No, no
00:34:42.660 You know, Katie Simpson from CBC
00:34:44.940 Asked that question of Trump's press secretary
00:34:48.900 Before Carney jetted down there
00:34:51.340 And she repeated it
00:34:52.880 And says, no, he's still committed to it
00:34:54.740 And, you know, this is the era of manifest destiny
00:34:58.740 With this, you know, lunatic
00:35:00.940 And he was doing the same thing
00:35:03.580 Sort of thing to Greenland and Denmark this week
00:35:07.300 And, you know, he'll
00:35:08.540 My prediction is he'll swing back
00:35:10.540 You know, his attention towards us
00:35:13.000 The second somebody asks him a question
00:35:15.260 Or uses the word Canada in his presence
00:35:17.460 So, no, I don't think he's changed his mind at all
00:35:20.700 And is he serious about doing something?
00:35:24.080 He was asked that
00:35:25.260 Prior to the Carney meeting
00:35:28.980 Or around the time of the Carney meeting
00:35:30.480 He said, no, you know
00:35:31.460 I'd never used military force
00:35:33.400 But, yeah, he's still committed to that
00:35:35.540 Yeah, it's over until it's not
00:35:38.220 Until Trump decides that it's not
00:35:39.780 In some of his impulses
00:35:41.020 But, Tasha, I guess just back on the
00:35:43.120 Carney-Trump meeting for a moment here
00:35:44.980 Did this kind of hit all the right notes?
00:35:46.900 I think it's almost impossible to declare a victory
00:35:49.260 When you're dealing with Donald Trump
00:35:50.560 In some of these situations
00:35:51.580 Because he just makes it so difficult
00:35:53.020 But, you know, did he hit the right notes?
00:35:55.360 Did he at least get the groundwork started
00:35:56.780 For moving forward here?
00:35:58.640 Well, I think he did
00:35:59.920 I mean, he hit the notes he could hit
00:36:01.840 Which, to Warren's point
00:36:03.000 He did speak very little
00:36:04.560 I watched the whole thing
00:36:05.980 He kept raising his hand
00:36:07.520 Very politely
00:36:08.240 His finger
00:36:08.980 And, of course, the media
00:36:10.300 Gaily ignored him
00:36:11.760 And just focused on Trump
00:36:13.140 But I think it was to be expected
00:36:15.040 Because the media
00:36:16.280 Is always focused on Trump
00:36:17.720 And so, you know
00:36:19.900 He got his words in
00:36:21.100 That he did go there to say
00:36:22.440 He didn't get Zelensky'd
00:36:25.420 He apparently had a good lunch
00:36:27.540 With Trump afterwards
00:36:28.540 I think it was a success
00:36:29.780 There's no question
00:36:30.820 It was a successful meeting
00:36:32.100 What comes next, though
00:36:34.020 Is interesting
00:36:34.600 I don't think that
00:36:36.000 Trump is going to make
00:36:37.260 As much noise about 51st state
00:36:38.980 I think that conversation
00:36:40.160 Is going to move to a different arena
00:36:41.740 And that is here
00:36:43.060 And they're going to let it move
00:36:44.940 Here
00:36:45.480 To Alberta
00:36:46.580 Where all the noise
00:36:48.020 Is going to happen
00:36:48.680 Around Daniel Smith
00:36:50.200 Separation
00:36:51.400 Sovereignty
00:36:52.260 Referendum
00:36:53.200 Well, we all know
00:36:55.160 That Alberta
00:36:55.980 Can't be a country
00:36:56.860 It's landlocked
00:36:57.980 It needs a dance partner
00:36:59.120 And that dance partner
00:37:00.460 Is Washington
00:37:01.120 And I think Washington
00:37:02.480 Is going to watch this
00:37:03.500 And maybe with quite
00:37:04.420 Great interest
00:37:05.180 Because, think about it
00:37:06.560 If Pierre Polyev
00:37:07.320 Had been elected
00:37:07.960 Prime Minister
00:37:08.780 There'd be no setup
00:37:10.280 For a Western alienation situation
00:37:12.780 That could never happen
00:37:13.780 But Mark Carney
00:37:14.980 Absolutely
00:37:15.920 They can play that card
00:37:17.460 And say, look
00:37:18.100 The liberals treat us badly
00:37:19.240 And you're no different
00:37:20.080 So, I wonder
00:37:22.200 I really wonder
00:37:23.300 If the administration
00:37:24.280 Isn't quite happy
00:37:25.180 With what's happened
00:37:25.840 If they do have designs
00:37:26.860 On a 51st state
00:37:27.860 Because the setup
00:37:28.660 Is there for that
00:37:29.480 Carney has to be careful
00:37:30.800 And I think a lot of people
00:37:32.160 In Alberta
00:37:32.620 Who aren't on the same page
00:37:33.680 Have to make as much noise
00:37:34.580 As possible
00:37:35.100 To derail this notion
00:37:36.440 That Alberta
00:37:37.600 Should be a separate country
00:37:38.580 You know, or Quebec
00:37:39.440 For that matter
00:37:40.040 Where I'm from
00:37:40.640 But Alberta
00:37:41.260 Is really the focus now
00:37:42.240 And it should be noted
00:37:43.640 You know, Daniel Smith-Presser
00:37:44.780 Was also given the night
00:37:45.800 Before this meeting, right?
00:37:47.240 So, it did kind of
00:37:48.300 Send a message
00:37:48.860 Before Carney was heading
00:37:49.800 To Washington
00:37:50.500 Do you think
00:37:51.980 That was implicit
00:37:53.100 Or kind of on purpose
00:37:54.700 Tasha, in many ways
00:37:55.900 To try to get
00:37:56.760 At least some kind of leverage
00:37:58.000 For Alberta
00:37:58.520 In this conversation
00:37:59.340 Yes, I think it was
00:38:01.280 I think it was
00:38:01.820 To make her little mark
00:38:02.640 In the sand, too
00:38:03.480 To say, you know
00:38:04.380 We're going to be
00:38:06.100 The problem now
00:38:06.840 We're going to do this now
00:38:08.160 And she's framing it
00:38:09.840 In a way that's
00:38:10.580 Good for Albertans
00:38:11.640 That's what she's saying
00:38:12.580 Yes, she's premier
00:38:13.500 I think part of it
00:38:14.700 Is she wants to stay in power
00:38:15.980 And she knows
00:38:16.580 Part of her base
00:38:17.500 The same part
00:38:18.720 That TERFed
00:38:19.380 Her predecessor
00:38:20.080 Jason Kenney
00:38:20.880 Wants this
00:38:21.860 And it's agitating
00:38:22.720 And it's very hardcore
00:38:23.620 So she has to
00:38:25.340 Pacify that base
00:38:26.380 But there's also
00:38:27.560 You know, Daniel Smith
00:38:28.500 Been to Mar-a-Lago
00:38:30.440 She's been to Florida
00:38:31.500 A couple times
00:38:32.240 Actually
00:38:32.680 And, you know
00:38:34.360 Pretty
00:38:34.680 Seemed to be
00:38:35.440 Very happy
00:38:36.280 To be pretty chummy
00:38:37.460 With folks down there
00:38:39.700 Including when she met
00:38:40.720 With Donald Trump
00:38:41.340 So you have to wonder
00:38:42.800 What is
00:38:44.080 What is the grand design
00:38:45.100 We don't know
00:38:45.680 But it's very
00:38:46.620 It's going to be
00:38:47.080 Very interesting
00:38:47.400 To watch it unfold
00:38:48.180 Yes
00:38:48.540 And, Warren
00:38:49.820 Since we're talking
00:38:51.280 About the Alberta
00:38:52.580 Premier here
00:38:53.200 Just
00:38:53.420 Your thoughts
00:38:54.880 Are this this week
00:38:55.460 And how she's
00:38:55.860 Kind of handled this
00:38:56.440 She kind of said
00:38:57.000 The quiet part
00:38:57.620 Out loud in many ways
00:38:58.500 Right?
00:38:58.780 Saying that there is
00:38:59.580 You know
00:39:00.200 Parts of her party
00:39:01.980 That want this
00:39:02.680 To move forward
00:39:03.180 Even though she does not
00:39:04.080 And that's where
00:39:04.560 This is kind of
00:39:05.420 Heading right now
00:39:06.020 I don't know
00:39:06.780 If that's necessarily
00:39:07.440 Leadership
00:39:07.920 It seems like
00:39:08.540 She's more afraid
00:39:09.340 Of people in her own
00:39:10.160 Caucus
00:39:10.500 But what do you
00:39:11.600 Kind of make
00:39:12.020 Of this issue
00:39:12.680 Being so at the fore
00:39:14.740 Of national politics
00:39:15.920 In the last couple of weeks
00:39:16.960 Well I've got a column
00:39:18.720 About this in post media
00:39:20.100 Today
00:39:20.480 And I think
00:39:21.040 She's a disgrace
00:39:21.960 And you know
00:39:23.880 My family moved
00:39:24.980 From Quebec to Alberta
00:39:26.360 To escape separatism
00:39:27.980 And people using
00:39:29.720 Separatism to get
00:39:30.920 What they want
00:39:31.540 In the way that
00:39:32.140 She's doing
00:39:32.740 You know
00:39:34.440 Like because
00:39:35.420 Of the Clarity Act
00:39:36.440 Which my former
00:39:37.220 Boss passed
00:39:38.040 As you guys know
00:39:38.920 About you know
00:39:40.320 30 years ago
00:39:41.420 It's basically
00:39:43.840 Impossible
00:39:44.440 For a province
00:39:45.480 To leave Canada
00:39:46.680 You know
00:39:47.260 Even the question
00:39:48.180 That she would
00:39:48.820 Want to ask
00:39:49.680 Has to be decided
00:39:51.140 By the House of Commons
00:39:52.180 Not by her
00:39:53.100 The sufficiency of it
00:39:54.780 The number of people
00:39:55.500 Who participated
00:39:56.320 The clarity
00:39:57.120 Of the question
00:39:57.800 All that kind of stuff
00:39:59.400 And it's not
00:40:00.080 For Sovereignty Association
00:40:01.420 It's Alberta
00:40:02.840 Leaving Canada
00:40:04.120 Landlocked
00:40:05.360 Right
00:40:05.880 Good luck
00:40:06.440 Getting your product
00:40:07.240 To market
00:40:07.780 Boys and girls
00:40:08.620 And no relationship
00:40:10.840 With Canada
00:40:11.480 So she's not
00:40:12.140 Going to achieve that
00:40:12.820 So and she's
00:40:13.920 You know
00:40:14.440 I don't think
00:40:14.820 She's particularly bright
00:40:16.080 But I think
00:40:16.900 She understands that
00:40:18.360 So why is she
00:40:19.360 Doing this
00:40:20.040 Anybody in Alberta
00:40:21.520 And I was there
00:40:22.280 To give a talk
00:40:23.300 This week
00:40:24.460 On the way back
00:40:25.100 From Israel
00:40:25.700 She's in
00:40:27.020 She's doing this
00:40:27.880 Because she's in
00:40:28.600 The middle
00:40:28.960 Of a massive scandal
00:40:30.400 That could claim
00:40:31.160 Her job
00:40:31.920 And the job
00:40:33.060 Of a number
00:40:33.560 Of her cabinet
00:40:34.220 Ministers
00:40:34.780 Regarding the
00:40:35.840 Ministry of Health
00:40:36.620 In Alberta
00:40:37.160 And it's a big scandal
00:40:39.780 And it's ugly
00:40:41.240 And I think
00:40:42.240 What she's doing
00:40:42.900 Is a classic
00:40:43.600 Trump move
00:40:44.260 And trying to
00:40:44.740 Change the channel
00:40:45.640 Talking about separation
00:40:47.300 But you know
00:40:48.020 Like she is making
00:40:49.360 A big big mistake
00:40:50.540 You set this dog
00:40:51.640 Loose in your backyard
00:40:52.700 One of the day
00:40:53.780 One of these days
00:40:54.440 It's going to come back
00:40:55.320 And bite you
00:40:56.020 Separatism
00:40:57.220 You can never
00:40:57.900 Satisfy the separatists
00:40:59.320 Whether they're
00:40:59.840 In Alberta
00:41:00.260 Or Quebec
00:41:00.860 And I think
00:41:03.220 She is going to
00:41:03.900 Rue the day
00:41:04.420 That she pulled
00:41:05.180 This stunt
00:41:05.780 And actually
00:41:07.100 There's the separatists
00:41:07.940 And then there's
00:41:08.460 That scandal
00:41:09.800 That Warren
00:41:10.520 Was just mentioning
00:41:11.080 There as well
00:41:11.500 With the AHS
00:41:12.160 Contracts
00:41:13.620 And private surgeries
00:41:14.540 Right
00:41:14.860 That's gone to the
00:41:16.020 What's the word
00:41:18.780 That I'm looking for
00:41:19.080 The Alberta Health
00:41:19.820 Ministry scandal
00:41:20.600 You're talking about
00:41:21.140 Yes
00:41:21.420 I was trying to think
00:41:22.440 Of the politician
00:41:23.200 That was involved
00:41:23.820 But regardless
00:41:24.520 She and her government
00:41:25.720 Are kind of facing
00:41:26.320 That right now
00:41:27.020 Is this
00:41:27.900 Between this
00:41:28.580 And what she's
00:41:29.340 Kind of facing
00:41:29.740 At home
00:41:30.100 In terms of
00:41:30.500 The separatist rhetoric
00:41:31.380 Is kind of
00:41:32.240 Domestic politics
00:41:33.100 You think the reason
00:41:33.920 That we're seeing
00:41:34.560 This loud noise
00:41:35.740 For separation
00:41:36.360 Right now
00:41:36.900 Well I think
00:41:38.200 Warren makes
00:41:38.700 A good point
00:41:39.240 And that scandal
00:41:39.860 Has gone a bit
00:41:40.700 Under the radar
00:41:41.440 For the rest
00:41:41.920 Of the country
00:41:42.500 I suspect
00:41:43.740 In Alberta
00:41:44.140 People are still
00:41:44.760 Talking about it
00:41:45.560 And sure
00:41:46.040 That's a way
00:41:46.540 To change the channel
00:41:47.340 But you know
00:41:48.700 Daniel Smith
00:41:49.600 Governor of the 51st state
00:41:51.020 I don't think
00:41:51.560 She'd mind
00:41:52.060 I will honestly say
00:41:53.200 That she's very ambitious
00:41:54.340 I don't think
00:41:55.800 She's stupid
00:41:57.000 At all
00:41:57.560 And I think
00:41:58.500 That you know
00:41:59.540 That the whole
00:42:00.100 The whole point
00:42:01.160 Of Alberta
00:42:02.840 Asserting itself
00:42:03.880 Is that it's been
00:42:04.440 Hard done by
00:42:05.020 By Ottawa
00:42:05.700 So she is
00:42:07.480 Setting up
00:42:07.900 These sorts
00:42:08.340 Of winning conditions
00:42:09.420 Right
00:42:09.820 For you don't
00:42:10.260 Hold a referendum
00:42:10.900 Unless you have
00:42:11.640 Winning conditions
00:42:12.440 That's something
00:42:13.380 That we learned
00:42:14.080 In Quebec
00:42:14.540 The separatists
00:42:15.680 Learned that the hard way
00:42:16.540 They just had
00:42:17.020 Referenda
00:42:17.520 And the conditions
00:42:18.540 Weren't there
00:42:18.960 So they lost
00:42:19.580 And now the question
00:42:20.440 Is you know
00:42:21.160 The threats of bringing it back
00:42:22.360 But I don't think
00:42:23.280 That's going to happen
00:42:24.000 So if she sets up
00:42:25.640 Winning conditions
00:42:26.240 By giving an impossible
00:42:27.340 List of demands
00:42:28.120 To Mark Carney
00:42:28.800 To meet
00:42:29.740 Or just you know
00:42:31.120 Inflaming conflict
00:42:31.960 And making it look like
00:42:32.940 There's this big dust up
00:42:34.300 Then those conditions
00:42:36.040 Get more successful
00:42:37.360 For whoever holds
00:42:38.300 The referendum
00:42:38.700 And she can protest
00:42:39.760 Like the lady
00:42:40.660 Doth protest too much
00:42:41.640 Like Shakespeare says
00:42:42.460 I don't want it
00:42:43.260 No no no
00:42:43.820 I don't want to separate
00:42:44.640 I own nothing for me
00:42:45.660 And just let people go
00:42:48.060 But you have to wonder
00:42:49.600 If she's driving this train
00:42:50.720 And she claims
00:42:51.640 She wants to
00:42:52.260 You know
00:42:52.840 Damp it down
00:42:53.740 By having a referendum
00:42:54.660 That doesn't actually
00:42:56.040 Do that
00:42:56.760 It actually does
00:42:57.900 The opposite
00:42:58.320 Yeah she was asked
00:42:59.620 This week
00:42:59.860 Why not just
00:43:00.300 Take it off the table
00:43:01.040 And that's when
00:43:01.520 She responded
00:43:02.020 About kind of
00:43:02.580 The pressure
00:43:03.160 Within her own party
00:43:04.080 Exactly
00:43:04.440 And just a follow
00:43:05.820 On that Tasha
00:43:06.380 As well
00:43:06.760 Because you know
00:43:07.320 Pier Poliova is now
00:43:08.040 Waiting for a by-election
00:43:09.040 In Alberta
00:43:10.420 So does this
00:43:11.740 Complicate things for him
00:43:12.980 Trying to get back
00:43:13.720 On the horse
00:43:14.120 Federally here
00:43:14.840 And change messaging
00:43:15.840 That now
00:43:16.340 He could be dragged
00:43:17.420 Into this
00:43:17.860 As a local MP
00:43:18.840 Talking about separation
00:43:19.940 Well I mean
00:43:21.840 Of course he could
00:43:23.240 He could be
00:43:23.520 At either level
00:43:24.520 To be honest
00:43:25.240 Because this is
00:43:25.820 A national issue
00:43:26.540 It's not just
00:43:27.100 An Alberta issue
00:43:27.980 But the irony is
00:43:29.860 Yes if he
00:43:30.900 He is in Alberta
00:43:32.580 That changes a bit
00:43:34.140 The dynamic for him
00:43:35.180 If he were in Ottawa
00:43:36.100 If he had become
00:43:37.160 Prime Minister for example
00:43:38.260 He would have been
00:43:39.400 You know
00:43:40.240 An Albertan
00:43:40.820 Representing Ottawa riding
00:43:41.880 But seen as a Westerner
00:43:43.400 And the
00:43:44.780 Tension would not
00:43:45.560 Be the same
00:43:46.120 And he would have
00:43:46.920 Presumably satisfied
00:43:47.860 The demands of Alberta
00:43:48.940 I mean
00:43:49.540 You know
00:43:50.340 Albertans would
00:43:50.880 Would have not
00:43:51.940 Seen him the same way
00:43:53.040 That they see Mark Carney
00:43:53.840 Who ironically
00:43:54.460 Was raised in Alberta too
00:43:55.800 But they don't see him
00:43:56.640 That way
00:43:57.020 So for Polly
00:43:59.380 Smith is a challenge
00:44:01.300 Because it's a direct
00:44:02.640 Challenge also
00:44:03.300 To his authority
00:44:04.160 As the conservative
00:44:05.340 Voice in the country
00:44:06.120 Because she's going
00:44:06.800 To be the louder
00:44:07.480 Conservative voice
00:44:08.560 He's going to be
00:44:08.980 In opposition
00:44:09.460 But you know
00:44:10.640 Right now
00:44:11.020 The government
00:44:11.320 Is two seats shy
00:44:12.180 Of a majority
00:44:12.760 I do wonder
00:44:14.000 If he'll get there
00:44:14.760 In some way or another
00:44:15.940 And if that's the case
00:44:18.500 He's not going to be
00:44:19.580 The biggest conservative
00:44:20.580 Player on the scene
00:44:21.680 If a referendum
00:44:22.900 Is brewing in Alberta
00:44:23.720 Everyone's going to
00:44:24.340 Talk about her
00:44:24.960 A good point to mention too
00:44:26.560 That there's still
00:44:27.000 Three recounts underway
00:44:28.020 For those seats
00:44:29.120 Now up to 170
00:44:30.020 For the Liberals
00:44:30.740 But Warren
00:44:31.880 When it comes to
00:44:32.520 Pierre Polyev
00:44:33.140 I guess heading out west
00:44:33.880 Do you think this runs
00:44:35.120 In kind of conflict
00:44:36.400 With what Daniel Smith
00:44:37.380 Is messaging right now
00:44:38.400 If he were to become
00:44:39.160 An Alberta MP
00:44:39.960 Does he now
00:44:40.600 You know
00:44:41.140 Have to wade into this
00:44:42.240 Locally as an MP
00:44:43.200 Yeah it's going to come up
00:44:45.580 And you know
00:44:46.320 Those of us in the media
00:44:47.520 Or you know
00:44:49.000 Even an average citizen
00:44:50.160 Is going to ask him about it
00:44:51.500 Like you know
00:44:52.540 In that riding
00:44:53.500 In Alberta
00:44:54.140 A fence post
00:44:55.380 Painted blue
00:44:56.820 Would win in a landslide
00:44:58.660 So you know
00:45:00.040 That's not the issue
00:45:01.180 But there are some people
00:45:03.480 Including within
00:45:04.960 The Conservative Party
00:45:06.020 Who want Pierre Polyev gone
00:45:08.280 He took a 30 point lead
00:45:10.260 And he pooched it
00:45:11.360 He lost his own seat
00:45:13.500 You know
00:45:14.460 He was stubborn
00:45:15.640 He wouldn't take advice
00:45:17.040 He wouldn't adjust
00:45:17.960 His strategy
00:45:18.680 You know
00:45:19.400 He's kept the same
00:45:20.380 Advisors around
00:45:21.320 All of that stuff
00:45:22.820 He hasn't learned
00:45:24.340 His lesson
00:45:24.920 And I know
00:45:25.400 They're sending out
00:45:26.160 Signals this week
00:45:27.120 You know
00:45:27.820 With some media
00:45:28.500 Saying he's being
00:45:29.400 Humble at caucus
00:45:30.620 Like big deal
00:45:32.360 Like he blew it
00:45:33.700 He was supposed
00:45:34.620 To be prime minister
00:45:35.600 With the biggest majority
00:45:36.660 In Canadian history
00:45:38.060 And he ended up
00:45:39.200 Losing his own seat
00:45:40.280 Like he's a loser
00:45:41.620 So I think some people
00:45:43.480 Are not done with him
00:45:44.800 And he is going to
00:45:46.300 Continue to be tested
00:45:47.420 Including about
00:45:48.880 You know
00:45:49.280 Do you support
00:45:50.100 What Daniel Smith
00:45:50.920 Is doing?
00:45:52.240 You know
00:45:52.560 What do you think
00:45:53.120 About what Donald Trump
00:45:54.120 Has said?
00:45:54.980 Like he is going to be
00:45:56.620 Tortured by his demons
00:45:58.420 You know
00:45:58.980 Like you know
00:46:00.460 Various messiahs
00:46:01.540 In the desert
00:46:02.120 And to see how he does
00:46:04.980 Like this is not over
00:46:06.320 For him
00:46:06.880 It's just starting
00:46:08.040 If I can add
00:46:10.000 Go ahead
00:46:10.660 Go ahead
00:46:10.960 Some of the demons
00:46:11.960 That will be
00:46:12.480 Torturing him
00:46:13.780 To Warren's point
00:46:14.520 Are the right wing media
00:46:16.820 The alternative press
00:46:17.860 As they call themselves
00:46:19.240 The non-mainstream
00:46:20.720 You know
00:46:21.620 Rebel News
00:46:22.300 True North
00:46:24.060 Others
00:46:24.680 Juno News
00:46:25.640 That are
00:46:26.780 You know
00:46:27.240 Looking
00:46:27.500 And podcasters too
00:46:29.000 You know
00:46:29.300 Joe Rogan was saying
00:46:30.360 Oh gee
00:46:30.900 You know
00:46:31.140 We tried to get
00:46:31.820 Polyev on
00:46:32.340 And he wouldn't
00:46:32.780 There's an article
00:46:33.700 About how a lot of
00:46:34.880 The right wing podcasters
00:46:36.680 Were frustrated in the election
00:46:37.800 Because the conservatives
00:46:38.640 Didn't go to them
00:46:39.400 So they got pissed off
00:46:41.600 If they're pissed off now
00:46:42.640 And he starts making noises
00:46:44.320 They don't like
00:46:44.940 Well he could be roasted
00:46:46.520 By his own
00:46:47.200 And that's when things
00:46:48.160 Go sideways for him
00:46:49.340 Because he's cultivated
00:46:51.000 That base
00:46:51.660 The manosphere
00:46:52.360 And that base
00:46:52.980 And it took him
00:46:54.460 You know
00:46:54.920 Quite far
00:46:55.900 In this election
00:46:56.600 But not far enough
00:46:57.520 And they may abandon him
00:46:59.800 If they don't see him
00:47:00.700 As the guy
00:47:01.140 Who's their standard bearer
00:47:02.080 And then who else
00:47:02.640 Would they look to
00:47:03.160 Well you got
00:47:03.880 You know
00:47:04.200 You got Miss Smith
00:47:05.040 On the horizon
00:47:05.580 You got others
00:47:06.120 Who might be seeing
00:47:07.160 Their tune
00:47:07.580 In a more
00:47:08.060 In a more
00:47:09.280 Palatable way
00:47:10.240 Well in the interim
00:47:11.660 We've got Andrew Scheer
00:47:12.600 In the House
00:47:12.960 As his kind of
00:47:13.600 De facto leader
00:47:14.400 In the House of Commons
00:47:15.440 As he's waiting
00:47:16.040 For a by-election here
00:47:17.780 We heard this week
00:47:19.260 About the caucus meeting
00:47:20.120 That it happened
00:47:20.740 And you know
00:47:21.460 There were some powers
00:47:22.180 That were enacted
00:47:22.860 But it doesn't sound like
00:47:23.960 You know
00:47:24.260 Pierre Polyev's
00:47:24.880 Going to be done tomorrow
00:47:25.820 But do you think
00:47:26.940 His leadership right now
00:47:28.140 Tasha
00:47:28.400 Is standing on solid ground
00:47:29.740 From your understanding
00:47:30.460 There's still division
00:47:33.060 I think there's
00:47:33.760 There's more division
00:47:35.040 In the rank and file
00:47:35.920 A lot of people
00:47:37.720 I actually talked
00:47:38.340 To a number of people
00:47:38.960 I have an article
00:47:39.920 That's coming out
00:47:40.300 In La Presse next week
00:47:41.180 About this
00:47:41.900 About how
00:47:42.740 People are saying
00:47:44.320 Things have to change
00:47:45.340 And most of them
00:47:45.940 Will give him
00:47:46.340 A second chance
00:47:47.340 But if they don't change
00:47:48.440 They won't
00:47:49.240 And they want
00:47:49.940 Certain people
00:47:50.640 In his team
00:47:51.300 Gone
00:47:51.820 And they want
00:47:52.500 You know
00:47:53.320 Real concrete
00:47:54.160 Steps to
00:47:55.520 Change the way
00:47:56.200 The parties manage
00:47:57.200 It's not just
00:47:57.900 The messaging
00:47:58.420 Which they take issue
00:47:59.960 With as well
00:48:00.420 In some cases
00:48:00.960 But it's the way
00:48:01.700 The party
00:48:02.040 Is managed internally
00:48:02.940 This sort of
00:48:03.820 Top down
00:48:04.420 You know
00:48:05.680 A leader
00:48:06.280 Is the only thing
00:48:06.840 In the window
00:48:07.320 No one else
00:48:08.200 Has anything to say
00:48:09.080 And if you step
00:48:10.520 Out of line
00:48:10.940 You get
00:48:11.220 Smacked over the head
00:48:12.460 And people got
00:48:13.380 Strung along
00:48:14.020 As potential candidates
00:48:15.260 In the election
00:48:15.800 Didn't
00:48:16.240 Then they were
00:48:17.000 Replaced by other people
00:48:17.940 And it was just
00:48:18.820 A lot of disrespect
00:48:19.700 So that is what's
00:48:22.020 Making a lot of people
00:48:22.860 Chatter behind the scenes
00:48:24.180 And yes
00:48:24.560 Polyev's part of
00:48:25.220 The conversation
00:48:25.820 But absent
00:48:28.120 Another
00:48:28.960 You know
00:48:29.760 Palatable leader
00:48:30.600 They don't have
00:48:31.780 Somewhere to go
00:48:32.440 So they're waiting
00:48:33.940 To see what he does
00:48:34.760 But if he doesn't
00:48:35.360 Do things
00:48:35.800 I think them
00:48:36.300 And eyes will
00:48:36.700 Really come out
00:48:37.280 Well and just
00:48:38.400 Another one for you
00:48:39.200 Tasha
00:48:39.420 Does it show
00:48:40.100 At least
00:48:40.560 Somewhat of a
00:48:41.520 I guess that
00:48:42.160 They're open to
00:48:42.740 A change
00:48:43.120 When we see
00:48:43.500 This week
00:48:43.900 That the CBC
00:48:44.500 Is reporting
00:48:44.980 That Polyev's
00:48:46.140 Camp did in fact
00:48:46.860 Reach out to
00:48:47.380 Doug Ford's
00:48:47.900 Camp this week
00:48:48.480 It looks like
00:48:49.080 Perhaps they're
00:48:49.960 Trying to
00:48:50.380 Mend some fences
00:48:51.260 There
00:48:51.580 Is that a
00:48:52.340 Turning point
00:48:52.840 For you
00:48:53.200 Or is it
00:48:53.780 Kind of too
00:48:54.160 Early to tell
00:48:54.760 I was too
00:48:55.960 Early
00:48:56.220 It's a good
00:48:56.720 Start
00:48:57.100 I mean
00:48:57.460 You should
00:48:57.660 Have done
00:48:57.880 That two
00:48:58.680 Years ago
00:48:59.140 But there
00:49:00.000 You are
00:49:00.360 He has to
00:49:01.680 Do these
00:49:01.960 Things
00:49:02.160 He has to
00:49:02.600 Talk to
00:49:03.000 People
00:49:03.380 That are
00:49:04.080 Not 100%
00:49:04.980 Aligned with
00:49:05.380 His vision
00:49:05.740 You can be
00:49:06.680 80%
00:49:07.380 60%
00:49:07.980 You have to
00:49:08.320 Talk to
00:49:08.680 Those people
00:49:09.080 Because if you
00:49:09.600 Don't have
00:49:09.900 Them you can't
00:49:10.400 Build numerically
00:49:11.420 A coalition
00:49:11.900 To win
00:49:12.260 And just
00:49:13.760 Last I wanted
00:49:14.380 To squeeze
00:49:14.680 One more
00:49:15.020 In here
00:49:15.340 About our
00:49:16.000 NDP
00:49:17.080 Here
00:49:17.460 The NDP
00:49:18.200 Still fighting
00:49:19.440 For party
00:49:20.000 Status here
00:49:20.880 Despite the
00:49:22.240 Fact that the
00:49:22.680 Numbers don't
00:49:23.100 Really add up
00:49:23.700 Here
00:49:23.880 So interim
00:49:24.520 Leader Don
00:49:24.980 Davies said
00:49:25.460 On Friday
00:49:25.880 That his
00:49:26.220 Party is in
00:49:26.800 Very early
00:49:27.640 Discussions
00:49:28.100 To talk
00:49:28.540 About being
00:49:28.920 Granted
00:49:29.260 Official
00:49:29.720 Party
00:49:30.380 Status
00:49:30.820 Warren
00:49:31.340 The numbers
00:49:32.020 Aren't
00:49:32.360 There
00:49:32.660 Do you
00:49:33.060 Think this
00:49:33.540 Goes anywhere
00:49:34.120 In terms
00:49:34.500 Of the NDP
00:49:34.940 Trying to
00:49:35.540 Remain as
00:49:36.820 An official
00:49:37.140 Party
00:49:37.440 Here
00:49:37.640 I'm
00:49:38.500 Going to
00:49:38.700 Make a
00:49:39.060 Prediction
00:49:39.520 And the
00:49:40.400 Two of
00:49:40.740 You can
00:49:41.000 Make fun
00:49:41.400 Of me
00:49:41.620 Next
00:49:41.880 Week
00:49:42.160 If I'm
00:49:42.520 Wrong
00:49:42.720 We've
00:49:44.140 Got a
00:49:44.380 Cabinet
00:49:44.680 Shuffle
00:49:45.100 Coming up
00:49:45.640 This week
00:49:46.140 And I
00:49:48.020 Know for
00:49:48.620 A fact
00:49:49.360 That they
00:49:50.980 You know
00:49:51.340 The liberals
00:49:51.800 Of course
00:49:52.260 Are making
00:49:52.640 Overtures
00:49:53.200 To various
00:49:53.660 Members of
00:49:54.100 The NDP
00:49:54.540 To cross
00:49:55.180 Over
00:49:55.500 Possibly
00:49:56.220 With an
00:49:56.580 Offer
00:49:56.900 Of a
00:49:57.160 Cabinet
00:49:57.500 Post
00:49:58.040 And I
00:49:59.160 Am
00:49:59.420 Informed
00:49:59.940 That some
00:50:00.580 Of them
00:50:00.820 Are really
00:50:01.860 Seriously
00:50:02.620 Considering
00:50:03.260 It
00:50:03.580 So that
00:50:04.460 Will give
00:50:04.840 Mark
00:50:05.140 Carney
00:50:05.420 What he
00:50:05.780 Needs
00:50:06.380 He's on
00:50:06.760 The cusp
00:50:07.420 Of a
00:50:07.920 Parliamentary
00:50:08.540 Majority
00:50:09.200 He'd be
00:50:10.000 Crazy not
00:50:10.760 To try
00:50:11.180 To do
00:50:11.500 This
00:50:11.880 And the
00:50:12.720 New Democrats
00:50:13.380 Sitting there
00:50:14.060 With no
00:50:14.420 Party status
00:50:15.160 No budgets
00:50:16.220 You know
00:50:16.700 No recognition
00:50:17.400 In the
00:50:17.860 House of
00:50:18.200 Commons
00:50:18.520 They're
00:50:18.780 Basically
00:50:19.120 Independents
00:50:19.840 They'd be
00:50:20.640 Crazy not
00:50:21.260 To think
00:50:21.640 About it
00:50:22.080 So my
00:50:22.860 Prediction is
00:50:23.680 I think
00:50:24.480 He's going
00:50:25.200 To lure
00:50:25.680 Over
00:50:26.040 Maybe one
00:50:26.740 Or two
00:50:27.220 And it'll
00:50:28.020 Put him
00:50:28.320 Over the
00:50:28.640 Top
00:50:28.880 And give
00:50:29.180 Him a
00:50:29.460 Majority
00:50:29.860 And it'll
00:50:30.340 Consign the
00:50:30.980 NDP
00:50:31.380 To further
00:50:32.060 Oblivion
00:50:33.000 Well there's
00:50:33.460 Definitely
00:50:33.680 Some reports
00:50:34.400 Out there
00:50:34.700 Backing what
00:50:35.260 You're saying
00:50:35.580 As well
00:50:35.840 Even Don
00:50:36.220 Davies
00:50:36.500 Telling Global
00:50:37.020 News
00:50:37.300 That there
00:50:37.860 Have been
00:50:38.260 Some talks
00:50:38.800 Between
00:50:39.140 Liberals
00:50:39.520 And NDP
00:50:39.900 Members
00:50:40.540 Not that
00:50:41.020 There's been
00:50:41.920 The party
00:50:42.840 Leading those
00:50:43.380 But individual
00:50:44.220 Members
00:50:44.620 So definitely
00:50:45.640 A very real
00:50:46.160 Possibility
00:50:46.680 Here
00:50:47.020 Where does
00:50:47.740 The NDP
00:50:48.060 Go from
00:50:48.480 Here
00:50:48.660 Tasha
00:50:49.040 Trying to
00:50:49.700 Kind of
00:50:49.960 Get back
00:50:50.320 To party
00:50:50.720 Status
00:50:51.120 What Warren
00:50:52.500 Said
00:50:52.840 I would
00:50:54.980 Say mine
00:50:55.320 The night
00:50:56.320 Of the
00:50:56.500 Election
00:50:56.820 I said
00:50:57.480 He's going
00:50:57.980 To go
00:50:58.240 And get
00:50:58.500 Some people
00:50:58.880 And get
00:50:59.160 Them to
00:50:59.420 Come over
00:50:59.720 Because it's
00:51:00.460 Too close
00:51:01.020 And why
00:51:01.900 Not
00:51:02.200 And this
00:51:03.380 Is exactly
00:51:03.920 What they
00:51:04.520 Should be
00:51:04.880 Doing as
00:51:05.420 A government
00:51:05.820 Honestly
00:51:06.360 If he
00:51:07.080 Wants to
00:51:07.520 Have a
00:51:08.700 Four year
00:51:09.200 Strong mandate
00:51:10.040 To negotiate
00:51:10.540 With Donald
00:51:10.920 Trump
00:51:11.220 As people
00:51:11.700 You know
00:51:12.200 They've been
00:51:12.680 Saying during
00:51:13.180 The election
00:51:13.620 You want
00:51:14.240 That mandate
00:51:14.740 Put these
00:51:15.600 People in
00:51:15.900 Your cabinet
00:51:16.320 Now they
00:51:16.760 Don't even
00:51:17.080 Have to
00:51:17.740 Join the
00:51:18.460 Liberal party
00:51:19.000 As long as
00:51:19.760 You're in
00:51:19.920 Cabinet
00:51:20.320 You have
00:51:20.600 To vote
00:51:21.120 With the
00:51:21.720 Government
00:51:22.020 So you
00:51:22.920 Can put
00:51:23.260 People there
00:51:23.800 And they
00:51:24.100 Can stay
00:51:24.480 In their
00:51:24.700 Party
00:51:24.900 And Elizabeth
00:51:25.300 May has
00:51:25.620 Already
00:51:25.800 Volunteered
00:51:26.680 To do
00:51:27.080 That
00:51:27.280 Plus she
00:51:27.840 Wants to
00:51:28.140 Be speaker
00:51:28.500 I mean
00:51:28.760 She really
00:51:29.240 She really
00:51:30.040 Wants to
00:51:30.380 Do something
00:51:30.800 So maybe
00:51:31.860 They'll make
00:51:32.180 Elizabeth
00:51:32.520 May speaker
00:51:33.120 And they'll
00:51:33.880 Have two
00:51:35.420 Other people
00:51:35.820 In their
00:51:36.060 Cabinet
00:51:36.360 And there
00:51:37.200 You go
00:51:37.640 Off to
00:51:38.560 The races
00:51:38.940 And again
00:51:39.520 That marginalizes
00:51:40.640 The conservatives
00:51:41.180 Even more
00:51:41.680 Lots of
00:51:42.480 Predictions to
00:51:43.020 Check on
00:51:43.400 Next week
00:51:43.920 At this time
00:51:44.640 But we'll
00:51:45.520 Leave it
00:51:45.740 There for
00:51:45.980 Now
00:51:46.200 Tasha
00:51:46.700 Carity
