00:00:00.000 So
00:00:29.960 this video comes from Thomas, who asks that I explore the concept of the sigma male.
00:00:37.240 Now before I get to that, I think it's worth doing a full exploration of alpha, beta, gamma,
00:00:43.720 etc. and what all these terms mean, as well as some of the critiques of them. Now, Uncle
00:00:51.200 Bob, UncleBob.blogspot, if I remember correctly, has an excellent point which is, now it's
00:00:59.960 partly informed by the fact that he's a lot older than most guys. And what's happening
00:01:05.760 with the neo-masculinity movement is that we are a generation of men trying to pick ourselves
00:01:10.800 up by our bootstraps because we never had any male role models growing up, or at least not
00:01:16.480 as many as we needed. He criticizes the alpha beta thing as superhero morality. That this
00:01:26.280 is what the good alpha male would do and this is what the lowly beta would do. Where the
00:01:31.540 alpha guy is the one that gets all the women, that gets the money, the success and the cars, 1.00
00:01:36.600 and the beta is this pathetic simp that's always sucking up to women. He's the eternal loser. 1.00
00:01:42.280 He's the bad guy in our comic book story. And the problem with comic books is that they're 0.94
00:01:49.620 fundamentally unrealistic. They're aimed at children. There is no Superman. There is no
00:01:55.400 Batman. And that's a good point as far as that goes. But, like I said, we are a generation
00:02:04.880 of men that did not have masculine influences. So, it's important to keep in mind that this
00:02:12.060 heuristic of alpha, beta, etc., it's an artificial projection onto society. It's not reality,
00:02:21.120 but it can be a good way to correct your own behavior since we've all been subject to so
00:02:26.280 much feminist indoctrination. So, the basic version, I already described that, where there's 1.00
00:02:35.480 alpha is the guy that gets the money and the women and the cars. He's assertive, self-confident,
00:02:41.800 badass. And the beta is the supplicating, suck-up, loser, white knight, etc. And then at the very 1.00
00:02:53.600 base, you've got the gammas. And they're not even in the competition.
00:03:00.000 That one is pretty straightforward, pretty simplistic. It's really just a way to correct
00:03:03.860 your own behavior, to make sure that you're not putting women on a pedestal, that you're 1.00
00:03:07.600 not being a pussy. Now, there's a more complex version that involves the omega sexual degenerate, 1.00
00:03:16.600 which I first read it on No Ma'am's blog. And I'll expand upon that here. Now, No Ma'am would
00:03:26.040 say that the alpha and beta are really the same thing at the end of the day. It's just the alpha
00:03:35.400 is the captain of the football team. And the betas aren't the captain, but they're still on the football
00:03:42.600 team. Neither the alpha nor the beta is defined by how many women they sleep with. But rather, they're
00:03:51.160 defined by how other men respect them. So the alpha has his pick of women. And he might date several
00:04:00.680 girls in a row. But ultimately, he settles on one woman. He just gets the best woman in the market,
00:04:08.360 because he's the alpha. The rest of the betas, going down through the ranks, themselves sort out the
00:04:15.880 remaining women. And in the end, everybody does wind up in a relatively monogamous sort of situation. 0.99
00:04:25.000 The gammas, of course, at the bottom are the societal rejects, the retards, or the, 1.00
00:04:31.640 the, the, I don't want to say introvert, because that suggests that introversion is a bad thing.
00:04:37.240 But, but the, the damaged men, they don't get any action because of how damaged they are.
00:04:44.040 But he adds another interesting spin, the Omega sexual degenerate.
00:04:51.320 Now, the Omega in this scheme is the man that is, is the criminal, is the scam artist.
00:05:00.200 He's the, the guy that all those jokes about farmers' daughters are made of, made about,
00:05:05.800 where he, he promises the woman, yeah, I'm going to love you forever, baby. I'm going to marry you.
00:05:11.480 But, but I really, you know what, my shirt is chafing me right now.
00:05:16.120 And so he winds up manipulating women into bed, only to run off the next day. He's a perennial liar 0.99
00:05:23.720 and a scam artist. And one of the unfortunate things about the present situation in the world is that 1.00
00:05:30.680 women with the, you know, trying so hard to be men, completely indoctrinated by feminism, 0.91
00:05:36.680 and masculinized with the, the education and possibly with all the birth control they're taking,
00:05:43.880 tend to go for this guy.
00:05:45.400 And so when you read about game, when you study game, about 50% of it is actually being an alpha
00:05:54.040 male, being a real man, is living up to masculine standards. 0.92
00:05:58.040 And the other half, you know, as Roosh would say, is being a clown, is being the omega sexual 0.99
00:06:06.440 degenerate. Because women, most women are not attracted to either the alphas or the betas. 0.99
00:06:13.720 Other times they would have been. But with the present indoctrination system, they're,
00:06:18.120 they're after their jollies, they're after their gina tingles in their early 20s. 1.00
00:06:22.360 And so they want the scumbag. They want the guy that's going to run off the next day. 1.00
00:06:26.760 The idea of having somebody actually care about them, actually look at them and see them,
00:06:31.160 absolutely terrifies them. So when you read game, it's, it's a mixed, it's both at once. It's like, 0.98
00:06:39.880 yeah, you should be an alpha male, a captain of the football team. That's something, that's a noble,
00:06:46.600 worthy goal for all men to pursue. But you also need to be a clown if you're going to pick up these girls. 0.99
00:06:57.240 Now the gamma. The gamma is one that, that Vox Day has been recently, he's been exploring this topic 0.96
00:07:05.560 in a series of posts over at, I believe it's alpha blogspot. I'll put a link down below to it.
00:07:10.520 Now the gamma. Traditionally, the gamma is just the, the, the retards, the losers, kids with down 1.00
00:07:20.360 syndrome, etc. But there's a distinct phenomenon going on right now where there's a large number 0.80
00:07:29.240 of gammas who are emotionally crippled. They are passive aggressive. They are extremely arrogant. 0.96
00:07:40.600 They, they embrace this sort of societal narcissism that's present right now, where they can't tell 0.92
00:07:47.800 the difference. In fact, like a lot of people nowadays can't tell the difference between what
00:07:53.960 they say and what they are. You may have noticed this, that if you get into an argument with somebody
00:08:01.400 and, and they bring up some political point or some factual point or what have you, and you prove them
00:08:10.360 wrong on that factual statement, they take it as a personal affront. They take it like you're calling them
00:08:17.320 a bad person, simply because you pointed out that you were factually incorrect about this.
00:08:23.880 Now, of course, like nobody likes being incorrect or finding out that you made a mistake. It's embarrassing.
00:08:28.840 But these people take it, it's deeper than that. Their, their identity is what they say.
00:08:37.560 And so the gamma is interesting because they will actually start conversations.
00:08:43.960 Instead of saying, you know, I hear the Thunderbird is a really good car. That's what I read in this
00:08:48.360 magazine. Which is, that's a statement anybody could make. You can disagree with that if you
00:08:53.800 know more about cars. The gamma will say that, but he won't, he won't say my opinion. He won't say I
00:09:00.440 think. He will say, the T-Bird is the best car ever made. And it's a challenge. It's an affront. It's,
00:09:09.640 he's challenging you to disagree with him. And if you start to win an argument with the gamma male, 0.95
00:09:19.240 they will start redirecting. They will start trying to say, well, I guess it's just a matter of
00:09:23.640 opinion. Even, even though they started off saying it like it was a fact, when you disprove the fact,
00:09:30.040 now it's a matter of opinion. These are the sort of men that we have involved the social justice
00:09:38.520 warrior side. You know, these extremely emotive, juvenile, uh, loud mouth, you know, opinionated,
00:09:49.160 but it's not even opinions because they state it like it's facts. Uh, these sort of destructive men
00:09:55.400 that have absolutely no ability with women whatsoever, and yet loudly proclaim how successful 0.99
00:10:04.040 they are with women. It's a really an odd phenomenon. 1.00
00:10:06.920 And finally, the Delta male. Now, the Delta, again, I think this is something originally, uh,
00:10:17.320 put out there by Vox Day, but, uh, my, my friend Remy Shepard expanded upon this. This is how, uh,
00:10:23.160 I first ran into the concept, and it's an interesting one. Uh, in particular, he used the example of the
00:10:28.280 Avengers movie because the dynamics in that film perfectly nail all of this down. So, you've got
00:10:37.160 Captain America in that film is the super alpha, and right below him, you've got, uh, you've got Iron
00:10:46.040 Man. So, at first, Iron Man and Captain America get into some conflict until they get the pecking order
00:10:53.160 established, where, yes, Captain America is more alpha than Iron Man, even though Iron Man is still
00:11:00.440 very alpha. Now, the Delta male tends to get along quite well with alpha males, and the Delta male in
00:11:09.000 that film is Bruce Banner. The Delta male is a man who's generally very intelligent, um, very successful
00:11:18.760 with women, uh, very in control, very able to maintain their own frame, and yet they don't really 1.00
00:11:25.320 participate in social organizations at all. Uh, they're the sort of guy that will show up at a party
00:11:32.360 with a, with a hot blonde on his arm, but won't make waves. He won't compete with other men for women.
00:11:40.440 Like, they, the Alphas, the Alphas, Betas, they, they all line themselves up into a hierarchy. The Delta
00:11:47.640 tends to reject hierarchy. He's not interested in associating with, um, you know, he, he can. He
00:11:54.360 gets along well with people. You know, he's not the Gamma that's constantly trying to fight with
00:11:59.000 everybody, but he just doesn't seem to be interested in it. He's more of a lone wolf. He has a success
00:12:04.920 with women, but it tends to be more of a individual endeavor. He doesn't compete with the Alphas. He
00:12:10.520 doesn't try and usurp them, even though he's on their level, even though, in theory, he could.
00:12:16.040 And so the, the Alpha and the Delta tend to get along very well, because they're both equally
00:12:23.000 capable. It's, it's a meeting of equals between them, and yet they're not competing at all,
00:12:29.240 because they move so differently. Uh, the, the Delta is, uh, orthogonal to the Alpha. And in Avengers,
00:12:38.120 many people ask, why is it at the end that Iron Man and Bruce Banner drove off in the same car?
00:12:44.360 It's because the Alpha and the Delta, they get along perfectly because they're not in direct
00:12:51.800 competition with one another.
00:12:56.520 Now that said,
00:12:57.640 I also suspect that Delta can be used as an excuse not to self-improve. The thing is that we need
00:13:10.920 leaders in this society. We all need to be setting standards. And I think there's a lot of people that
00:13:18.760 can see the Delta, they can embrace the Delta, and they become comfortable with that sort of lifestyle.
00:13:26.440 They're no longer, they're not setting the pace for anybody. They're not setting any standards for
00:13:31.720 anybody else, but they're living their own comfortable life. If they want to get laid,
00:13:36.680 they will get laid. Uh, they don't make, uh, they don't make huge ripples at work. You know, they,
00:13:43.240 they aren't famous or assertive or, you know, they're, they're not the center of attention.
00:13:48.280 They're just kind of doing their own thing and going along to get along.
00:13:54.840 But there, there's an element, there's an element of cowardice there. There's an element of not being
00:14:00.760 your best that's, that's present there. I think the Delta constantly needs to challenge themselves
00:14:12.120 to be better. So the thing is, if you're the Delta and you have a friend who is an alpha male who sets
00:14:19.080 the standards for everything, then that's fine. Then everything's tickety-boo. But more often than not,
00:14:25.960 I think the Delta is going to find themselves in situations surrounded by weak or cowardly betas 0.87
00:14:32.520 and gammas. And if that's the case, it is up to you to take a leadership role, to take responsibility,
00:14:39.320 to set standards. Otherwise, all of this gets out of hand. I think there might be a lot of guys that
00:14:46.920 should be pursuing the alpha role who settle for Delta just because it's easier.
00:14:55.960 So Delta is certainly an interesting observation on the socio-sexual dynamics of our species,
00:15:03.080 but it can also be used as a crutch. So I would caution against it.
00:15:11.240 I would say that if you think you are a Delta, you should still be disciplining yourself to do even 1.00
00:15:17.320 more and to be confident and assertive in intra-male conflicts. Anyway, Irini out.
00:15:37.320 Okay.
00:15:46.840 I want to pause the question.
