Leo D.M.J. Aurini - Democracy; Anarchy; Monarchy

00:00:00.000 You know, one question that keeps coming up in the comments section is, what exactly are your political beliefs?

00:00:13.000 Are you anarcho-capitalist? Are you a monarchist? Are you libertarian? Are you Republican? Are you a neocon? Are you anti-natalist? Are you...

00:00:25.000 Thanks, beautiful.

00:00:36.000 But to revisit all of these questions, let's look at the fundamental question, which is, what can we do to survive?

00:00:48.000 As individuals, as a group, as a nation, as a race, as a culture, what can we do to survive?

00:00:59.000 Now, it's a lot of fun and is a very, very good mental exercise to sit around speculating about Plato's Republic.

00:01:11.000 The guy wrote a whole book on the bloody thing.

00:01:14.000 But that's a very different question from asking, what can we do to survive?

00:01:21.000 What are the realistic possibilities that we can explore in this current foul year of our lore, 2013?

00:01:32.000 What are our options?

00:01:35.000 And the important thing about the right is, unlike the left, the left has something they agree upon.

00:01:45.000 They have the end of history in their minds.

00:01:48.000 They have this mechanical god that they worship that is, oh, there's a little bit of debate over what portion of feminism, and which portion of GLBT, and which portion of multinationalism, and so on and so forth.

00:02:04.000 Like, what exactly the end state is.

00:02:06.000 But they all agree that there is an end state.

00:02:08.000 And the only error you can do on the left is not being left enough.

00:02:16.000 We're not like that on the right.

00:02:18.000 We are a bunch of radical individualists that debate constantly, that have disagreements, but we can still be neighbors.

00:02:26.000 We can still be friends.

00:02:28.000 We can have intelligent discourse.

00:02:30.000 We don't need to blacklist anybody that disagrees with us.

00:02:35.000 We can listen to them, accept their position, and move forward.

00:02:42.000 So with all of that in mind, let's explore the three fundamental types of society that are being discussed nowadays.

00:02:56.000 Democracy, Anarchy, and Monarchy.

00:03:03.000 Now, democracy, and this form of religion, this form of government is the American religion.

00:03:13.000 It is the Declaration of Independence.

00:03:16.000 It's the Declaration of the Rights of Man from the French Revolution.

00:03:20.000 It is the 20th century religion, the modern age. 0.65

00:03:26.000 Democracy is modernism.

00:03:32.000 And on some level, every society has had democratic organizations.

00:03:37.000 Democracy, in the functional level, is absolutely self-evident.

00:03:42.000 That if you have a group of individuals, and you all want to figure out what you're doing that night, you vote on what you're going to do that night.

00:03:51.000 That form of democracy has been omnipresent in every society.

00:03:58.000 Even monarchy, even theocracy has democratic aspects to it.

00:04:05.000 But what happens when you raise that functional mechanism of governance to the point of governance?

00:04:19.000 You start with the limited franchise.

00:04:22.000 And in fact, every libertarian and every fascist reformation to democracy has involved taking the absolute franchise and restricting it.

00:04:37.000 The best example of this is probably Heinlein.

00:04:40.000 In Starship Troopers, he wants to select for social responsibility.

00:04:47.000 In his science fiction novel, the book, not the movie, the selective pressure is that you have to have served the state in a particular type of function before you get to vote.

00:05:03.000 Now, the most obvious form is the infantry, is the military.

00:05:07.000 But in the book, he also opens it up to a variety of other forms of service.

00:05:12.000 He even mentions that if a retarded man wants to get the vote, wants to serve the country, they'll have him go test spacesuits on Pluto. 1.00

00:05:22.000 With the implication that, in reality, they're going to be a little bit nicer to the retarded man. 0.97

00:05:27.000 That's just the scary, dangerous risk thing that they try and keep him away with.

00:05:33.000 You know, you don't want the right to vote.

00:05:35.000 You don't want the franchise a bit too scary for you.

00:05:38.000 Just be a good, little, obedient citizen.

00:05:40.000 But those that actually want the franchise, those that want to participate, get to be involved.

00:05:46.000 That was his solution for limiting the franchise.

00:05:51.000 The old American solution was property. 0.72

00:05:55.000 You need to own X amount of property. 0.99

00:05:59.000 Presumably, if you own this much property, especially in a homesteading country like the United States, you're not an idiot. 0.99

00:06:07.000 You're invested in the community. 0.90

00:06:08.000 You're going to vote responsibly.

00:06:10.000 But what inevitably happens with this franchise?

00:06:18.000 It gets expanded.

00:06:21.000 There's always going to be that voice on the margin.

00:06:23.000 That voice that has $500 less property than is needed to vote.

00:06:29.000 There's going to be that person doing a public service that is dangerous, but isn't recognized as worthy of the vote.

00:06:36.000 That's going to be lobbying for their right to vote. 1.00

00:06:40.000 That limited franchise is inevitably going to expand and expand and expand until it encompasses everybody in the society.

00:06:52.000 Currently in the United States, we're watching the last expansion where it goes not just to every citizen, but even to every non-citizen where they're legally allowed to vote.

00:07:05.000 And you wind up with the horrors of democracy, which I've discussed at length and I'm sure you're all well aware of.

00:07:17.000 People are different.

00:07:20.000 People have different IQs.

00:07:22.000 Not everybody has the capacity to make rational choices for their society.

00:07:27.000 So you get anarcho-capitalism.

00:07:34.000 Anarcho-capitalism, Ayn Rand, hardcore libertarianism, it's all part of the same thing.

00:07:43.000 That we completely eliminate government and build free market anarchies in their place.

00:07:52.000 Now again, this sounds like a sexy place to live.

00:08:02.000 I would love to live in a anarcho-capitalist regime.

00:08:05.000 I'd be quite happy there.

00:08:07.000 I'd be civilized.

00:08:08.000 I'd be able to carry a sidearm with me. 0.99

00:08:11.000 And the occasional Cro-Mag idiot that comes and starts trouble gets a 9mm heater between the eyes. 0.99

00:08:18.000 Problem solved. 0.99

00:08:20.000 But we're not talking about a complete social reset right now, are we?

00:08:30.000 We're not talking about a bunch of high IQ and well-educated scientists colonizing Mars.

00:08:37.000 And some of you picked up on the science fiction story I'm referencing there.

00:08:43.000 We are not talking about a complete social reset.

00:08:46.000 We are talking about dealing with the situation we have before us. 1.00

00:08:54.000 The fact of the matter is that most humans are too stupid to live. 1.00

00:08:58.000 That we've had a dysgenic breeding process for the past 10,000 years. 1.00

00:09:03.000 And we have this massive, genetically deviant underclass that can't begin to run their own lives. 1.00

00:09:14.000 That is not intelligent enough to understand something as simple as a social construct.

00:09:20.000 Or insurance.

00:09:22.000 Or any of these other premises that go into the anarcho-capitalist society.

00:09:31.000 And yet they're here.

00:09:32.000 They're here.

00:09:33.000 Their voting.

00:09:34.000 And some of them have quite a bit of wealth and a large number of firearms.

00:09:36.000 And some of them have quite a bit of wealth and a large number of firearms.

00:09:47.000 Anarcho-capitalism is a beautiful concept that would possibly work quite well with a whole bunch of educated, literate scholars upon Mars.

00:09:59.900 But in the world we find ourselves in is a pipe dream.

00:10:08.500 It's a pipe dream worth studying, worth understanding, worth figuring out why this is such a great system and why we'd all love living in it.

00:10:19.020 But we tried it already.

00:10:23.720 We tried it multiple times.

00:10:25.940 Go ask the Irish how well anarcho-capitalism worked for them. 0.98

00:10:35.900 See, anarcho-capitalism, if you actually play with it, if you run the simulation in your head,

00:10:42.800 and you know what, even if you start with high IQ people, 0.99

00:10:46.900 eliminate all the degenerates, all the criminals, all the scumbag human beings of society, 0.99

00:10:55.940 and you start with the best and brightest human beings on the planet. 0.99

00:11:03.040 The thing is, some smart people don't want to be masters.

00:11:09.040 Some of them want to be accountants.

00:11:12.080 Some of them want to be engineers.

00:11:14.440 Some of them just want to be given interesting puzzles to go figure out and have somebody else figure out the logistics.

00:11:21.280 Even with this ideal genetic starting base for your anarcho-capitalist society,

00:11:31.240 you tend to wind up with monarchy.

00:11:34.500 One person owns 90% of the property and is responsible for creating rules that serve the majority to keep them happy.

00:11:47.500 Now, in the democracy, you have the majority voting for breads and circuses.

00:11:53.480 You have them voting for degenerate entertainment. 0.76

00:11:56.780 You, you, the savages overwhelm.

00:12:00.020 Whereas in the end result of the anarcho-capitalist state,

00:12:06.280 in that proto-monarchist state,

00:12:08.980 you actually have somebody that's trying to run an intelligent civilization

00:12:13.980 that recognizes some people just want to be engineers.

00:12:17.640 They don't want to think about this nonsense.

00:12:22.800 People don't want to think about making their computers run properly.

00:12:28.740 I'm a Linux guy.

00:12:30.380 A lot of people aren't.

00:12:32.800 Personally,

00:12:35.060 insurance makes my head hurt.

00:12:36.360 I don't want to think about insurance.

00:12:39.020 I don't want a million choices.

00:12:41.200 I want a cast that does the insurance and gives me the solution. 0.54

00:12:45.680 Same thing with my cell phone.

00:12:47.060 I don't want to think about it.

00:12:49.740 Somebody else comes up with the solutions.

00:12:54.540 All underneath this CEO shareholder pseudo-monarchy.

00:13:00.040 Now, that said,

00:13:06.400 there are major problems with monarchy.

00:13:09.320 Major, major problems.

00:13:11.140 You know, it took 200 years for democracy to implode.

00:13:15.380 Monarchy, it took 800 years,

00:13:17.880 but it still imploded, didn't it?

00:13:20.980 With monarchy, we have these inheritance rights. 1.00

00:13:30.120 We have these idiotic sons 1.00

00:13:33.500 that inherit the monarchy, 1.00

00:13:35.700 and they play with clocks all day long.

00:13:38.760 Then they marry Marie Antoinette, 1.00

00:13:41.120 who makes idiotic comments about bread and cakes, 1.00

00:13:44.040 and soon enough, you have a democratic revolution. 1.00

00:13:50.160 Monarchy has problems, too.

00:13:57.080 But see,

00:13:57.820 we're also living in an era

00:13:59.560 where we have

00:14:01.940 two brand new

00:14:04.820 social technologies

00:14:06.540 that did not exist

00:14:08.920 until now.

00:14:09.960 the first of the corporation.

00:14:14.900 It used to be,

00:14:16.880 let's say

00:14:17.600 you were a brilliant cobbler.

00:14:20.800 You managed to make the best 1.00

00:14:22.240 goddamn boots 0.99

00:14:23.880 in all of Germany, 1.00

00:14:25.180 and one of your sons

00:14:28.460 wanted to go into musical theater,

00:14:30.640 and the other's

00:14:31.700 a painter.

00:14:34.160 Your business died,

00:14:36.560 and this brilliant boot-making technology

00:14:38.940 that you developed

00:14:39.680 died with your business.

00:14:44.560 Enter the corporation.

00:14:46.300 That permanent,

00:14:47.840 shareholder-involved entity

00:14:49.600 that is immortal,

00:14:52.000 that owns a patent,

00:14:53.840 owns a technology,

00:14:56.040 ad perpetuum.

00:14:59.520 Now, of course,

00:15:00.620 again,

00:15:01.420 we've all heard the problems

00:15:02.740 with corporations.

00:15:03.720 You know,

00:15:04.040 Disney should have given up

00:15:06.600 Mickey Mouse

00:15:08.200 50 years ago.

00:15:09.680 that should be common culture.

00:15:12.700 There's problems

00:15:13.520 with this technology, too.

00:15:14.840 Every technology

00:15:15.800 is a double-edged sword.

00:15:17.240 But for the first time,

00:15:18.340 we actually have technology

00:15:19.480 that can make

00:15:20.200 an idea

00:15:21.000 live in perpetuity.

00:15:22.440 Moldbock has some interesting ideas

00:15:27.180 about how to

00:15:27.860 use this for governance.

00:15:31.380 And,

00:15:32.220 the second technology.

00:15:33.560 In the 1700s,

00:15:42.440 they were aware

00:15:44.040 of genetics.

00:15:45.120 It wasn't until Darwin

00:15:46.200 that they really figured out

00:15:47.520 how evolution worked,

00:15:50.000 but they were aware

00:15:51.560 of genetics.

00:15:52.500 they were beginning

00:15:59.400 to notice

00:16:00.040 that we have

00:16:00.700 a dysgenic

00:16:01.400 civilization.

00:16:05.660 In the 20th century,

00:16:08.320 some very

00:16:09.340 half-assed

00:16:10.180 attempts

00:16:10.800 at genetics

00:16:12.180 were attempted

00:16:13.520 by

00:16:14.240 democratic countries.

00:16:16.340 eugenics 0.78

00:16:18.420 eugenics 0.78

00:16:19.420 first appeared

00:16:20.100 in California

00:16:21.160 before being

00:16:22.500 contracted

00:16:24.380 by Nazi Germany.

00:16:28.300 And a lot

00:16:29.580 of ugliness

00:16:30.620 resulted

00:16:31.860 from this

00:16:32.440 democratic

00:16:33.620 scientist-as-priest

00:16:36.380 conception

00:16:37.240 of it all.

00:16:38.280 But monarchs

00:16:41.140 in the 1700s

00:16:43.460 were beginning

00:16:45.440 to become

00:16:46.060 aware

00:16:46.660 of the

00:16:47.660 dysgenic

00:16:48.280 problems.

00:16:52.880 And we are

00:16:54.060 far from

00:16:54.580 figuring it all out.

00:16:55.920 In fact,

00:16:56.360 currently,

00:16:56.960 our democratic

00:16:57.920 society

00:16:58.560 is so deeply

00:16:59.960 morally opposed

00:17:01.060 to actually

00:17:01.640 understanding

00:17:02.480 how genes

00:17:03.720 correlate

00:17:04.420 to pro-social

00:17:05.880 behavior.

00:17:07.200 That if

00:17:07.740 we

00:17:08.340 see

00:17:10.720 any sort

00:17:11.800 of

00:17:12.000 new

00:17:12.420 eugenic

00:17:12.940 program,

00:17:14.100 you know

00:17:15.300 what it's

00:17:15.520 going to be.

00:17:16.440 It's going to be

00:17:17.160 attacking the

00:17:17.880 very genes

00:17:18.820 that encourage

00:17:19.600 brilliance.

00:17:20.760 And they're

00:17:21.240 going to be

00:17:21.560 favoring

00:17:22.180 obedience.

00:17:24.220 It's going to

00:17:24.600 be another

00:17:25.020 top-down,

00:17:26.740 heavy-handed,

00:17:28.480 dictatorial,

00:17:29.760 democratic

00:17:30.400 approach

00:17:30.860 to the whole 1.00

00:17:31.300 damn thing. 0.99

00:17:34.600 But nonetheless, 0.99

00:17:35.640 this is an

00:17:37.720 interesting

00:17:38.120 technology

00:17:39.780 and possibility

00:17:40.920 for our

00:17:42.060 species.

00:17:49.420 The point

00:17:50.580 of all of this

00:17:51.480 is

00:17:51.800 that I

00:17:53.920 don't

00:17:54.620 have the

00:17:55.660 solutions.

00:17:56.080 I don't

00:17:56.980 have the last

00:17:57.760 word on the

00:17:58.400 matter.

00:17:59.420 And

00:17:59.800 neither does

00:18:01.380 anybody else.

00:18:02.720 That us

00:18:03.400 on the

00:18:03.900 right,

00:18:04.720 we are

00:18:05.700 trying

00:18:08.080 to rebuild

00:18:10.280 something.

00:18:11.420 And it's

00:18:12.000 not going to be

00:18:12.600 the exact same

00:18:13.420 solution in

00:18:14.540 every location,

00:18:15.700 in every

00:18:16.060 province,

00:18:16.860 in every

00:18:17.860 state.

00:18:18.420 this is

00:18:22.100 fast becoming

00:18:22.820 an international

00:18:23.460 problem.

00:18:25.240 There is

00:18:26.060 a blogger

00:18:28.220 that I'm

00:18:28.540 going to

00:18:28.680 link to

00:18:29.000 down below

00:18:29.980 the Observer

00:18:30.940 Watches,

00:18:32.140 who is

00:18:34.320 not North

00:18:34.860 American,

00:18:35.340 who's not

00:18:35.600 even remotely

00:18:36.260 North

00:18:37.200 American.

00:18:37.460 He's from

00:18:37.820 Singapore.

00:18:39.000 And he

00:18:39.740 sees the

00:18:40.380 same

00:18:40.960 ugly 0.98

00:18:42.460 degeneracy

00:18:43.500 appearing

00:18:45.000 in his

00:18:45.520 own country.

00:18:46.480 And his

00:18:46.880 response?

00:18:50.120 women that 1.00

00:18:51.420 want to 0.89

00:18:52.140 mud shark

00:18:53.220 with white

00:18:53.760 men?

00:18:55.900 White men, 1.00

00:18:57.780 come fuck 1.00

00:18:58.360 the shit 1.00

00:18:58.820 out of these 1.00

00:18:59.320 whores. 1.00

00:18:59.800 Use up 1.00

00:19:00.400 their most

00:19:00.820 fertile years.

00:19:02.140 These

00:19:02.400 degenerate 1.00

00:19:03.300 sluts are 1.00

00:19:04.200 never going 0.99

00:19:04.860 to be part

00:19:05.540 of any

00:19:06.180 revival.

00:19:09.540 Use them.

00:19:11.120 I don't

00:19:11.820 care.

00:19:12.600 They're not

00:19:13.080 part of the

00:19:13.520 solution.

00:19:14.020 They're part

00:19:14.460 of the 1.00

00:19:14.880 goddamn 1.00

00:19:15.340 problem. 0.99

00:19:17.480 And when

00:19:22.600 we look

00:19:23.060 around at

00:19:24.940 these

00:19:25.200 savages that

00:19:26.320 share our

00:19:26.920 societies,

00:19:27.900 most of

00:19:28.660 them are

00:19:29.400 part of

00:19:30.580 the problem.

00:19:31.520 They are 0.99

00:19:32.020 degenerates 0.99

00:19:33.140 voting for

00:19:34.180 breads and

00:19:35.440 circuses.

00:19:36.340 things.

00:19:39.280 And quite

00:19:40.100 frankly, I

00:19:40.760 don't give a 0.99

00:19:41.260 flying fuck 0.99

00:19:42.440 about those 1.00

00:19:43.360 people.

00:19:45.060 I care about

00:19:46.080 the people

00:19:46.560 that are going

00:19:47.940 to survive

00:19:48.580 and eventually

00:19:50.080 have their own

00:19:51.040 children who

00:19:51.880 will become

00:19:53.320 part of the

00:19:53.820 solution, who

00:19:54.500 will revitalize

00:19:56.560 this society.

00:19:58.120 I don't know

00:19:58.700 exactly how it's

00:19:59.620 going to happen.

00:20:00.440 I don't know if

00:20:01.220 it's going to be a

00:20:01.760 reversion to

00:20:02.400 monarchy, if it's

00:20:03.160 going to be some

00:20:03.540 new form of

00:20:04.160 government, it's

00:20:04.740 going to be a

00:20:05.180 narco-capitalism.

00:20:10.140 But those are the

00:20:11.040 people I care

00:20:11.580 about and those

00:20:12.600 are the ones I

00:20:13.040 want to survive.

00:20:16.180 Irini out, my

00:20:16.940 brothers.
