00:00:00.000 Hey folks. I'm doing this video as a lead-in to my next video on atheist cult.
00:00:07.520 So I'm looking forward to ripping into those guys, but I realize I need to do some groundwork before we go there.
00:00:17.540 So this video is on Nihilism and what it is.
00:00:24.100 Nihilism is one of the most misunderstood philosophies out there.
00:00:28.820 There are three main stereotypes that it's generally associated with, all negative stereotypes, of course.
00:00:36.500 The first being the suicide, the person that embraces the concept that there's no inherent truth and decides to be depressed and off themselves.
00:00:47.880 The second major stereotype is the faux-intellectual in the art house there.
00:00:55.880 The morally callow user of people who seduces married women and fulfills no obligations by the excuse that morality is not inherent.
00:01:08.800 And so he's just going to live by whatever strikes him as a good idea in the moment.
00:01:13.680 And then the third stereotype is the monster, the Hitler or the Stalin, who embraces this will to power to become just an impressive, oppressive despot.
00:01:31.880 And not a single one of those stereotypes, although there is some truth to them, not a single one of them actually embraces what a true nihilist is.
00:01:41.680 Now, as you can see in the title there, this is nihilism and the red pill.
00:01:48.400 Because the red pill is the perfect introduction to explain what nihilism is.
00:01:53.160 The red pill, which is a phrase bandied about frequently on the corners of the internet where I hang out, is, of course, an allusion to the matrix.
00:02:03.540 Where Neo is noticing glitches in reality.
00:02:09.460 Little tiny problems here and there, little cracks that suggest that there's something else going on.
00:02:16.280 And so you have the choice between the red pill and the blue pill.
00:02:20.480 The blue pill, you continue living life as it is, voting and driving to work and just ignoring everything.
00:02:29.140 Just going on as you are, but you'll never know the truth.
00:02:33.480 The red pill, on the other hand, burns like poison, but you get to learn the truth.
00:02:39.700 And if there's a disaster coming, you will see the disaster, unlike all the blue pillars.
00:02:44.060 There's three main topics where they'll mention the red pill.
00:02:49.960 The first, of course, being gender dynamics.
00:02:53.300 Feminism, the fact that women aren't inherently virtuous.
00:02:57.960 That they're people, just like men are.
00:03:00.520 That men aren't inherently evil, for that matter.
00:03:03.900 Women are hypergamous.
00:03:06.700 Feminism has done everything it can to destabilize marriage.
00:03:11.060 To drive people apart from each other.
00:03:12.560 So on and so forth.
00:03:14.660 So that's the red pill with feminism, women, the men's rights movement, and game.
00:03:20.120 Then you have the red pill with government.
00:03:22.840 The fact that government is not a naturally occurring entity.
00:03:28.540 It is not inherent to humanity.
00:03:30.820 And in fact, it did not predate civilization, but it appeared after we were already civilized.
00:03:37.600 After we were farming and living in communities with enough people and enough sufficient wealth
00:03:42.600 to support a government.
00:03:44.220 That's when it appeared.
00:03:45.920 I heard it put very well recently that you don't get tumors growing on dead animals.
00:03:52.780 And the third red pill is that of the mainstream media.
00:04:00.560 The realization that news reporters and newspapers and television stations are bought and paid for.
00:04:07.060 That they report selectively what supports the lying blue pill ideology that profits them.
00:04:16.720 That they're just another wing of the government.
00:04:19.520 And of course the internet is helping all of these things come together.
00:04:23.880 Typically, the only person you can talk to about, say, the government is a college professor.
00:04:31.300 And the only time that you'll notice that the media isn't reporting accurately is if you were
00:04:35.720 personally involved with the story and you get to see the lies yourself.
00:04:39.000 With the internet, all of us, all of us proles out here are getting together, we're comparing
00:04:43.280 notes, we're noticing things about women, about government, marriage, divorce court, cops,
00:04:49.700 the justice system, history, we're able to go and find a history book written a hundred
00:04:55.840 years ago by the guy that didn't win the war.
00:05:00.420 We're going to hear the other perspectives.
00:05:03.140 And the cracks are showing.
00:05:06.180 Gotta love the red pill.
00:05:08.240 Burns like a son of a bitch, but you're better for it.
00:05:13.160 And the red pill, fundamentally, is really just a chip off the block of nihilism.
00:05:19.700 Nihilism begins with the premise that there is no innate value to the universe.
00:05:31.220 There is no innate morality.
00:05:33.260 There is no God that God is dead.
00:05:37.620 And this is where the suicide stumbles.
00:05:42.040 The suicide hears this, that there is no innate value, and they must think that there is no
00:05:47.940 value whatsoever, which is absolute horse shit.
00:05:53.400 There is value.
00:05:54.580 There is emotion.
00:05:55.360 There is happiness.
00:05:57.220 Listen, velocity does not have an absolute value.
00:06:02.280 With general relativity, we realize that there is no absolute frame of reference.
00:06:07.380 The velocity that you're traveling at, when you drive your car, is unique to your frame
00:06:14.320 of reference.
00:06:14.920 Nobody else sees you traveling at the same velocity.
00:06:18.020 It is unique.
00:06:19.060 It's not inherent to the universe.
00:06:20.440 There is no absolute framework.
00:06:23.320 And morally, there's no codex of ultimate wisdom out there.
00:06:27.920 Morality is what we make of it.
00:06:29.180 And the suicide never capitalizes upon this, to realize that you can restructure your morality.
00:06:40.400 And the second, the cynic, the arthouse intellectual, is a selfish little sociopath, who decides to
00:06:52.080 go out and pursue the whims of the flesh, with no regard for morality or obligation.
00:06:59.060 But charming though he might be in his twenties, look at him thirty years down the road, and
00:07:06.180 you see a lecherous old man.
00:07:08.780 If he is a businessman, you have American Psycho.
00:07:12.160 You see a fat, depressed, lonely thing, who knows the price of everything but the value
00:07:20.960 of nothing.
00:07:22.060 This is not an ubermensch.
00:07:24.280 The great man, who lives with passion and integrity, and by his own standards, but loves
00:07:31.520 life, and is a force to behold.
00:07:36.400 And then you get the monster.
00:07:38.420 And the monster maybe comes closest to becoming the ubermensch.
00:07:41.200 After all, they do rewrite their ideology to, they rewrite their morality to suit the ideology
00:07:49.660 they pursue.
00:07:51.440 But they never attain the ability to question the ideology.
00:07:55.900 Hitler believed in pseudoscientific nonsense.
00:07:59.460 He had, he believed in the old Nordic gods.
00:08:05.540 Stalin, Mao, they were communists.
00:08:09.120 They never managed to rise above themselves and question that aspect.
00:08:17.860 At best, they were extremely successful sociopaths.
00:08:22.360 But they certainly weren't nihilists.
00:08:27.260 Because what nihilism really boils down to is it's not so much a philosophy as it is a toolkit
00:08:34.720 for mimetic re-engineering yourself.
00:08:37.600 And it is just as dangerous as performing brain surgery on yourself when you do it right.
00:08:46.720 And it can certainly go awry in all those cases that I just mentioned.
00:08:52.040 So it must be done carefully.
00:08:54.220 But it is the, it is fundamental to being an intellectual.
00:09:00.280 You can't follow the herd.
00:09:01.660 You can't just believe everything that you've been told growing up, everything you learned
00:09:05.260 in kindergarten.
00:09:06.680 You need to actually question things.
00:09:08.060 And so this is where nihilism starts, with no absolute value.
00:09:15.420 And in fact, it's not even atheistic in particular.
00:09:21.560 If you are a theist, if you are a Christian, then the point of saying there is no God, that
00:09:28.860 God is dead, is because God is unknowable.
00:09:31.900 You cannot know God.
00:09:32.940 God is infinitely faster than you are.
00:09:39.420 And while there might be a great deal of merit in Christian theology, what you've been
00:09:42.700 taught on Sunday school is not the answer.
00:09:45.260 That is what, that is what man said.
00:09:49.380 And so accepting the fact that a God that is out there is unknowable, you must then go
00:09:55.020 and question everything to the very deepest routes.
00:09:59.540 Learning that HBD, Human Biodiversity Theorem, that not all races are created equal, is a massive,
00:10:11.260 painful shock to the system.
00:10:13.580 That the values of liberty, fraternity, and equality are basically made up words with very,
00:10:22.420 very little syntactic value in them is depressing and painful.
00:10:28.580 But this is what the true nihilist does, is they, one by one, encounter all of these myths
00:10:36.240 that they've been taught growing up, all these religious-style beliefs that have just been
00:10:42.620 shoved into the back of their head, and they rip them apart, look at them, and reassemble
00:10:49.600 them, to create an ideology which reflects reality, to create a morality that reflects themselves.
00:11:01.180 It is becoming your own God.
00:11:04.660 It is, as I said in another video, when you've lost everything, you're free to do anything.
00:11:09.980 And the Christians speak of, when you have been following Jesus for long enough, you fall into
00:11:19.020 grace.
00:11:19.640 You accept the inevitability of your sinfulness, and you just fall into grace.
00:11:26.120 These are all the same thing.
00:11:27.680 It is becoming your own God.
00:11:29.420 It is falling into yourself.
00:11:31.080 When you restructure everything, you are now free to become the best thing that you could
00:11:37.320 possibly be.
00:11:38.900 You don't work out and eat well because that's what you're told to do.
00:11:44.200 You don't read books, ancient tomes, and treaties on economics because you're trying to impress
00:11:51.420 somebody or earn a mark, but because that is what you have become.
00:11:54.620 You have re-engineered yourself to become the best version of yourself, and not a poisonous
00:12:00.440 mix of different means from different sources bouncing around in your brain, making you miserable
00:12:06.520 and ill.
00:12:08.760 Nihilism is about becoming the best that you can be, intellectually, physically, spiritually,
00:12:16.360 all of those things.
00:12:17.480 And with that established, I think we're ready to move into atheist cult next time.
00:12:26.640 Take care of yourselves, folks.
