Leo D.M.J. Aurini - The Futility of Arguing With Feminists

00:00:00.000 The Futility of Arguing with Feminists 1.00

00:00:07.800 In my last video, I addressed this recent kerfuffle over male video game protagonists.

00:00:14.840 I was addressing the feminist complaints about too many males in video games, but I was very

00:00:21.720 clear to point out that I wasn't speaking to the feminists. 1.00

00:00:26.320 Arguing with them is fruitless.

00:00:28.560 I rather was explaining why we have so many male protagonists for those with the ability

00:00:34.380 to think.

00:00:35.380 Now, a friend of mine, a young lady I'm acquainted with, was in complete agreement with me, but

00:00:41.020 she asked me to expand on that topic, simply because she sees so many men who are constantly

00:00:47.960 trying to converse with feminists, who are trying to appease them, not realizing that 1.00

00:00:54.160 there's no appeasement to be had there.

00:00:56.960 Communism is not a legitimate complaint.

00:01:00.060 It is an endless complaint.

00:01:02.780 They're just looking for something to complain about.

00:01:05.240 And so she asked me if I could do this video to help nail that down for you guys, that if

00:01:11.240 you think you can have a conversation with these women, I'm telling you right now that 1.00

00:01:15.780 you can't.

00:01:16.780 Right off the bat, we're going to have to start with a bit of historical revision.

00:01:23.600 We're going to have to actually get back to what really happened and not what you got learned

00:01:28.480 in school.

00:01:29.980 Because of course, the same way that we're all Freudians, the same way we're all Marxists

00:01:34.180 nowadays, we're also all feminists. 1.00

00:01:36.760 We've been fed this information constantly throughout our lives, from the schools, from TV, from ideologues,

00:01:44.100 from politicians, on every spectrum. 0.97

00:01:48.320 And so it's so tempting to say, well, these far-off feminists, these crazy ones, okay, they're 1.00

00:01:56.100 a little bit wacky, but what about all the good feminism did? 1.00

00:01:59.380 Well, what about all that good?

00:02:02.600 Let's take, let's take women's suffrage, for example, isn't that one of the great accomplishments 1.00

00:02:09.780 of feminism? 0.93

00:02:10.780 Well, quite frankly, no.

00:02:13.780 No.

00:02:14.780 See, the women's suffrage, women getting the vote, implies that there was a time when they 1.00

00:02:20.220 didn't get the vote.

00:02:23.200 And I will tell you right now, women voted in 1850. 1.00

00:02:27.520 Women voted in 1800.

00:02:29.920 This whole myth of women getting the vote is a mischaracterization of what was actually

00:02:35.080 going on.

00:02:36.860 You see, the vote used to be something reserved for households.

00:02:42.160 This all goes back to the Magna Carta, that the law is above the king.

00:02:47.320 That the nobles can enforce the law upon the king.

00:02:51.380 So the nobles get to participate in the government.

00:02:55.140 And then it expands from the nobles to not just those with the right birth, but those of

00:02:59.460 prominent position.

00:03:01.180 And so on and so on, until you get to the point where anybody that owns a decent, reasonable

00:03:07.560 amount of property gets to vote.

00:03:09.700 It was the household that was voting.

00:03:12.460 It wasn't the citizen that voted.

00:03:15.220 It was the person that was invested in this country, in this economy, and they got to have

00:03:21.300 a say in matters.

00:03:22.840 If you are still working minimum wage at the age of 50, the idea back then was that you

00:03:29.160 shouldn't vote.

00:03:30.160 You have no idea how to run anything if you're still working at McDonald's at the age of 50.

00:03:35.580 But if you've built a life for yourself, if you've accomplished something, then you are

00:03:40.200 wise enough to have input in government.

00:03:42.800 And so during the 1800s, we saw this expanding more and more.

00:03:49.060 You know, the property value used to be this requirement, then it was this requirement, so

00:03:54.640 on and so forth, until eventually it became all natural-born men in the country got to vote.

00:04:02.260 And so what was the gap between all the men getting to vote and all the women getting

00:04:08.420 to vote?

00:04:09.800 In Britain, it was seven years.

00:04:12.740 There was a seven-year gap between the woman had to have a certain amount of property to 1.00

00:04:18.260 vote and she just got to vote. 1.00

00:04:22.280 Seven years.

00:04:23.560 It was already in the works.

00:04:25.100 This was a natural expansion of the franchise that had been going on for centuries.

00:04:31.240 It had nothing to do with feminism, and there was never any oppressive regime that said 0.98

00:04:37.060 that women had no place in politics. 1.00

00:04:40.680 Queen Victoria.

00:04:42.620 Alright, do we need to go back to Jerusalem?

00:04:45.760 When Europe ruled it, it had a female queen? 1.00

00:04:48.900 Okay, like we've had women in politics, we've had women active in politics, we've had them 1.00

00:04:53.560 criticizing things in politics.

00:04:55.500 Feminism had nothing to do with it. 1.00

00:04:59.440 There was never any oppression.

00:05:02.700 And what's the other big one?

00:05:03.940 What's the other big accomplishment that you hear about that feminism did? 1.00

00:05:08.140 Well, women in the workplace, right? 1.00

00:05:10.020 Women weren't allowed to work back in 1900 or 1850. 1.00

00:05:15.380 Once again, it's a load of moose drip.

00:05:18.240 Women worked back then. 1.00

00:05:19.320 In fact, there was no watershed moment where women started working. 1.00

00:05:24.020 If you look at female employment rates, they have been steadily increasing over the past 1.00

00:05:30.720 two centuries.

00:05:32.560 The thing is, as we got more technology, and as jobs became easier, and as homemaking went

00:05:38.700 from a 12-hour-a-day job to a 4-hour-a-day job, more and more women started working outside 1.00

00:05:45.560 the home for an income, rather than working inside the home to invest in the household.

00:05:52.540 Both are labor, both generate value, but one is taxable, the other isn't.

00:05:59.240 This, again, had nothing to do with feminism. 1.00

00:06:02.280 There is a couple of prominent examples of professions that didn't allow women, but those are

00:06:08.660 the exceptions that prove the rule, because they stood out, because most jobs had no standards.

00:06:16.400 They probably wouldn't let a woman work in a coal mine because it was so dangerous, and 1.00

00:06:20.000 men, evil, evil men, like to protect women. 0.83

00:06:23.880 But aside from something like that, yeah, women could do whatever they wanted. 1.00

00:06:27.560 It's just that most of them wanted to get married and have children.

00:06:32.900 There was no oppression.

00:06:34.520 There was women making their own choices. 1.00

00:06:36.340 As opposed to now, with feminist legislation, with affirmative action, we have a situation

00:06:42.460 where most households need both the man and the woman out there in the workplace earning 1.00

00:06:47.460 an income just to afford the bills.

00:06:51.720 Those are the prominent ones.

00:06:54.040 Okay, and there's more of them.

00:06:55.600 Trust me, we could go on for hours.

00:06:57.720 That anything you think feminism accomplished, it did not do that. 1.00

00:07:02.240 Either they grossly distorted the truth, or there was an entirely different social effect

00:07:08.080 going on, or what they actually accomplished for women made women a lot worse off.

00:07:15.360 There's a reason depression and eating disorders are far more common in the free, liberated year

00:07:22.060 of 2013 than they were in 1953.

00:07:25.600 And for one contemporary example, before we're done with this, if you want to learn more,

00:07:32.780 just go look for it.

00:07:33.560 You can find this stuff all over the place.

00:07:35.900 A girl writes what? 0.90

00:07:37.060 Go check out her channel. 0.98

00:07:38.320 She will, she will, she'll learn you about what a giant lie feminism is. 1.00

00:07:45.260 But just one more example.

00:07:46.580 So the woman that kicked all this off, is she a woman? 0.99

00:07:50.220 Is this an organization?

00:07:51.380 This feminist frequency? 1.00

00:07:53.360 I don't know, and quite frankly, I could care less.

00:07:56.160 Anyway, this feminist frequency. 1.00

00:07:58.000 I caught about half of one of the third videos she did.

00:08:02.100 And first she's complaining. 0.78

00:08:04.040 First she's complaining about the patriarchal, cisgendered, sexist, violent rape trope of Rescue 0.99

00:08:11.900 the Princess. 0.96

00:08:13.260 How evil and bad it is that us guys want to rescue the princess.

00:08:16.580 And the princesses want to be rescued. 0.82

00:08:18.860 And then, and then she says, but that one game where Princess Peach has to rescue Mario,

00:08:25.940 well that's just inverting the trope, so it's no good.

00:08:29.120 Alright, alright, so the, the trope is no good.

00:08:31.800 The inversion of the trope is no good.

00:08:35.600 What is good?

00:08:38.820 And the answer is nothing.

00:08:40.620 If you watch her videos and pay attention, they are absolutely incoherent.

00:08:47.200 Feminism. 1.00

00:08:48.860 Lies or fallacies.

00:08:51.180 That's all it is.

00:08:52.800 Now, of course this leads us to the question, why?

00:08:59.420 Why?

00:08:59.700 Because we, we're saying people, if we are arguing about something, if we think something is,

00:09:04.620 if we say that we think something is unfair, it's because we honestly think it is fair and

00:09:10.780 we want to correct it.

00:09:12.320 Whether we're being the one victimized or if somebody else is being victimized.

00:09:15.720 We actually have a conversation about that.

00:09:17.620 So, why would these, so many of these women, so many of these ideological women, why would 1.00

00:09:24.960 they be saying that video games are unfair, the workplace is unfair, etc., whatever, it's

00:09:30.460 unfair, if they don't actually believe that.

00:09:32.920 If they don't actually have a genuine complaint or a genuine coherent argument.

00:09:37.800 Let's look at misogyny first, to ease into what's going on in that female brain. 1.00

00:09:48.000 Now, misogyny, and I mean actual clinical misogyny, misogyny the mental disorder, is something

00:09:57.500 that occurs in men when they have an extremely abusive mother. 0.93

00:10:00.980 The fact about men is that we need comfort, we need admiration, and we need sexual love 0.98

00:10:09.800 from a woman.

00:10:10.760 That without those things, without the, at least without the hope of one day getting those

00:10:16.480 things, we're extremely broken.

00:10:19.720 Those are human needs that we have.

00:10:22.740 We need that love of a woman in our life. 1.00

00:10:24.560 But, if as a child, you have an extremely abusive mother, then your ability to love women is

00:10:31.800 injured by that.

00:10:33.360 Or your ability to trust women.

00:10:35.940 So, you still need this love and admiration from a woman, but you don't trust women. 1.00

00:10:43.060 You think that they're all going to act the exact same way that your mother acted when

00:10:48.380 she abused you. 1.00

00:10:49.380 And so, this is why you get the, and there is truth to the stereotype, it's just, it's

00:10:55.020 a very small number of men rather than all men, that certain men do undermine the egos

00:11:01.280 of their wives, of their partners.

00:11:03.300 They do injure them emotionally, so that that woman is too broken to ever leave him, to ever

00:11:09.980 abandon him, to ever harm him.

00:11:12.240 So, what these men wind up with is a wife that's not even a wife, because the only reason 0.95

00:11:19.040 she's with him is because she's broken.

00:11:21.380 And so, this very real emotional need inside their heart is left void.

00:11:27.940 And so, they get angrier and angrier.

00:11:31.100 This is what happens when you have a mental disorder that's been put onto you by your parents. 0.98

00:11:36.780 That's what misogyny is. 0.92

00:11:38.760 It's actually pretty rare, but it does exist.

00:11:43.320 Now, what about women? 1.00

00:11:45.260 Men, we need the admiration.

00:11:47.880 We need the compassion.

00:11:49.820 We need that sexual love.

00:11:52.480 For women, what women need in their lives is a man they can admire, and a man that's strong, 0.84

00:11:59.820 who can protect them, and a man who they can sexually worship.

00:12:04.260 And these feminists have a big, gaping void in their soul where that man is supposed to 1.00

00:12:13.240 be. 0.93

00:12:13.960 These feminists are so angry at men. 1.00

00:12:16.860 They are so misandric. 0.99

00:12:18.940 And it could be because they went through some abuse as a child from a really terrible 0.81

00:12:22.620 father.

00:12:23.440 Or maybe they just internalized so much of this negative dialogue that shoved down our

00:12:28.260 throats by the mainstream media, by the universities, that they wound up hating men through that.

00:12:33.100 But whatever the cause, this idea of man, this hope for that sort of love that all women

00:12:41.200 need, it's a black, gaping void in their soul that will never be filled.

00:12:47.500 Even if you're single, even if you're single and you haven't found the right partner yet,

00:12:52.080 you can imagine that woman that comforts and cares about you.

00:12:57.200 You can imagine that man that protects and loves you.

00:13:03.300 But these women have rejected the notion. 0.99

00:13:06.060 They've decided that all men, the nature of masculinity is evil and hatred and abuse and

00:13:13.040 just violent dominance.

00:13:16.120 And so where their heart is supposed to be is nothing but hatred.

00:13:21.000 Nothing but disgust and angst and self-loathing that they project out onto the world.

00:13:26.560 And so these women, these girls like Feminist Frequency, they see you guys out there playing

00:13:32.000 your video games. 0.96

00:13:33.140 You're having a gay old time. 0.99

00:13:35.680 You and your girlfriends are all getting along perfectly happy. 0.99

00:13:41.820 Everything's fine.

00:13:43.180 The kids are being taken care of.

00:13:45.020 We have a productive and healthy society.

00:13:47.900 Their response is just vile loathing of that.

00:13:53.140 Loathing of the fact that anybody can be happy, that you're not sharing in their misery.

00:13:59.700 And so feminists hunt around looking for anything to complain about. 1.00

00:14:04.780 They look for anything to nitpick.

00:14:07.780 They, listen, men and women are different.

00:14:10.620 You're always going to be able to find statistics of inequality between them because men and women 0.54

00:14:16.580 make different choices.

00:14:17.520 Women like taller men. 1.00

00:14:19.740 Men like shorter women, generally speaking.

00:14:22.840 And so that's an inequality you're going to find between them.

00:14:26.640 So they find these inequalities and then they come up with an argument. 0.94

00:14:30.940 They come up with some BS argument about why this inequality shows that men are horrible,

00:14:37.420 violent, abusive, and we don't have enough democracy or whatever they're calling it now.

00:14:41.560 We have too much free market capitalism.

00:14:43.340 We don't have enough free market capitalism.

00:14:45.060 They just want to destroy anything good. 1.00

00:14:49.320 So when these women come into your community and start complaining about this, it's bullshit. 0.99

00:14:57.220 There was a guy recently on, I think it was a year or two ago, he was on some video game show 0.99

00:15:03.060 and he started, there was a female player on the show who loved gaming, who was just a geek girl,

00:15:08.040 didn't seem like any sort of feminist to me, and he started bullying her.

00:15:12.100 You didn't need feminism to protect that girl. 1.00

00:15:15.060 Everybody saw what he was doing and saw that it was bullying.

00:15:19.840 There have been girls playing video games all this time.

00:15:23.820 And most guys will stick up with them, stick up for them. 1.00

00:15:28.720 Aside from the 13-year-old idiots on whatever the latest shooter program is, 1.00

00:15:33.760 but that's nothing but scatology anyway. 1.00

00:15:35.880 The feminists just find these things and latch on to them and try and create an argument. 1.00

00:15:42.740 Then they try and get money from the government because they're useless people that could never compete. 0.99

00:15:46.780 They could never make a video game. 0.97

00:15:48.480 You show me a woman that's made a video game, she won't be a feminist. 1.00

00:15:52.400 You show me a woman that could never make a video game, 1.00

00:15:54.920 Well, now that geek culture is popular, she's going to claim it was because of oppression. 1.00

00:16:02.740 You cannot have a conversation with these people.

00:16:06.400 You cannot discuss with them.

00:16:08.120 They are not honest arguers.

00:16:11.760 They are angry, sad, and broken people.

00:16:14.480 And so anytime you give them an inch, you're giving them a mile.

00:16:21.080 You're letting the camel get its nose in the tent.

00:16:24.460 All they want to do is destroy video gaming culture.

00:16:28.080 Or destroy bar culture.

00:16:29.540 Or destroy the corporate culture.

00:16:32.120 Or anything else that they get their nose into.

00:16:35.960 They're not trying to make things fair.

00:16:38.220 They're trying to make it miserable for everybody.

00:16:44.480 Now I'd like to finish off on a somewhat related note.

00:16:49.440 I was almost going to make this into a video of its own, except it's not quite enough for that.

00:16:54.900 The title would have been,

00:16:56.880 The Girlies Go Crazy for the Right-Wing Man. 1.00

00:17:01.500 So many of us feel like we're walking around on eggshells all the time.

00:17:05.900 That if you say the wrong thing, you're going to offend somebody and get in trouble.

00:17:10.020 That you have to be politically incorrect.

00:17:12.000 Or you have to be politically correct all the time.

00:17:15.280 And so many guys feel like if you badmouth feminism in public,

00:17:20.920 that the girl that you're trying to get with is not going to like you.

00:17:24.340 She's going to think you're a terrible human being.

00:17:26.180 She's going to get angry at you and you'll kill your social life. 0.98

00:17:30.420 Nothing could be further from the truth.

00:17:32.740 The fact of the matter is that girls love strong men who are confident in what they believe.

00:17:40.060 If you state something confidently, it doesn't matter what her women's studies professor thinks about it.

00:17:46.940 But she will like the fact that you said it with confidence.

00:17:50.900 She will like you for having the confidence, not because of what you believe. 0.98

00:17:54.600 Whereas if you are a simpering beta male trying to suck up to her, 0.98

00:18:00.120 that, yeah, she'll hang out with you, but she'll never date you. 0.99

00:18:03.380 There's an exception to this, of course.

00:18:06.880 If you are in a workplace, especially a workplace with a bunch of haggard old HR women running it, 1.00

00:18:14.160 and you state what you think as unequivocally true,

00:18:19.960 these women will grow furious. 1.00

00:18:22.540 But the reason they're growing furious isn't what you would think.

00:18:27.280 See, a guy, if you said something he disagreed with, might get angry at you personally.

00:18:32.180 But these HR women, the reason it's so dangerous to say this sort of stuff in front of the HR women, 1.00

00:18:38.360 is because then they want to sleep with you. 1.00

00:18:41.260 And at the same time, they realize that you would never sleep with them. 1.00

00:18:46.920 You're reminding them that they are losers in the sexual marketplace. 1.00

00:18:51.300 And so that's why they attack you, to get rid of you. 0.99

00:18:55.180 But, when you're at the party,

00:18:58.180 heck, I was at this party with a whole bunch of young university GLBTs, 0.87

00:19:03.060 hippie, dippy, Marxist everything. 0.53

00:19:05.840 And the whole time, now normally,

00:19:07.920 normally I try and speak very intelligently about things

00:19:10.520 and not, not be mean, for no reason.

00:19:14.120 But, when you have a bunch of people

00:19:15.980 whose main hobby is sitting in the basement and hating God all day,

00:19:19.860 I'm just going to make them dance for my amusement. 1.00

00:19:22.580 So, I was being a complete right-wing jerk. 0.99

00:19:25.520 And they were getting so offended, 0.99

00:19:28.460 aside from the cute one with the Skrillex haircut,

00:19:31.340 who kept inching closer to me on the bench,

00:19:35.140 and telling me what a horrible person I was as she stared deeply into my eyes.

00:19:40.600 You cannot go wrong by being two right-wing men.

00:19:45.300 Even the hippie-dippy girls will love it. 1.00

00:19:50.620 All of her friends told her to stay awake from me after that,

00:19:53.220 so, of course, she did the exact opposite.

00:19:57.120 Certainly, there are a few feminists out there who are just, 1.00

00:20:00.480 they're girls brainwashed by the same way all you guys are brainwashed,

00:20:04.360 and a quick conversation with them will sort things out. 0.92

00:20:07.560 But, the real feminists, the ideologue feminists, 1.00

00:20:11.880 these losers at life that just hate you for not sucking, 0.99

00:20:17.060 these are the ones that you don't argue with. 0.99

00:20:20.340 Quite frankly, that Naomi girl that keeps writing so much libel about me,

00:20:24.240 and I do mean libel,

00:20:26.080 do you think she's doing it because she disagrees with me,

00:20:29.820 or because I disagree with her?

00:20:31.820 Or is she doing it because she's desperately in love with me,

00:20:36.160 and knows that I would never touch her?

00:20:39.720 These feminists just don't want you to be happy. 1.00

00:20:43.140 They want your misery, 0.97

00:20:44.520 and any time you engage with them,

00:20:47.340 you're playing their game.

00:20:48.960 It's not about logic.

00:20:50.380 It's not about truth.

00:20:51.720 It's about them trying to destroy everything that's true and good.

00:20:56.320 So, enjoy your culture.

00:20:58.560 Don't argue with disingenuous arguers.

00:21:02.100 And, certainly, if you think I'm making this stuff up,

00:21:05.160 go look into it.

00:21:06.740 Go subscribe to Girl Writes What.

00:21:09.740 She'll lay down the flat truth for you.

00:21:12.940 Marini out, folks.

00:21:13.720 Here we go.

00:21:20.980 All right.

00:21:21.420 You know.

00:21:30.500 You know.

00:21:31.500 You know.
