00:00:05.000 So I'm here in Israel on a hill overlooking the new United States Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel, with Mark Zell.
00:00:12.000 He's the chairman of the Republicans Overseas in Israel.
00:00:15.000 How are you doing today, Mark?
00:00:18.000 Fantastic.
00:00:18.000 This is a day we've been waiting for for years, decades.
00:00:22.000 Decades.
00:00:22.000 How does it make you feel to see so many American flags, Trump signs, Israeli flags waving together here overlooking the new embassy?
00:00:30.000 It's a dream come true.
00:00:32.000 What is the significance of this?
00:00:34.000 I mean, how important is this decision to the people here in Israel and to Americans in the United States?
00:00:42.000 Well, the two different issues.
00:00:43.000 And to us in Israel, it's of extreme importance.
00:00:47.000 You know, this is something we've been dreaming about, as I said, for years.
00:00:52.000 It never happened.
00:00:54.000 And every time a president was elected that had promised to move the embassy to Jerusalem, he immediately went back on his promise and waived it under the 1995 embassy, Jerusalem Embassy Act.
00:01:09.000 So most people here believed that this would never happen.
00:01:12.000 Every president, including Donald Trump, would just continue to do what the others had done.
00:01:18.000 But this president was different.
00:01:20.000 And so here in Israel, we love this decision.
00:01:23.000 We love it.
00:01:23.000 People are crazy about it.
00:01:26.000 And in the United States, I think most people are also really happy about this.
00:01:31.000 A lot of the voters for Donald Trump, many of them who were Christian evangelicals, believe in Israel, put Israel on the top of their priority list.
00:01:40.000 They too are very happy.
00:01:41.000 You know who isn't?
00:01:42.000 The American Jews.
00:01:44.000 But that's their problem, okay?
00:01:46.000 We in Israel are 80% going for vote for the Republicans, for Donald Trump, and we are for what Donald Trump has done here and what he's doing all over the Middle East and the world.
00:01:57.000 God bless him.
00:01:57.000 Do you think, though, that after this, more left-leaning Jews will be convinced to vote Republican and support Trump after they see how happy people in Israel are?
00:02:07.000 No.
00:02:07.000 Do you think there will ever come a day when they stop standing with people who want to be in the middle of the stand in Iran?
00:02:12.000 I believe in the Messiah.
00:02:13.000 Okay, I believe in the Mashiach.
00:02:14.000 We call them in Hebrew Mashiach.
00:02:16.000 Here you go.
00:02:17.000 I believe that the Mashiach is going to come.
00:02:19.000 And so I believe one day the American Jews will finally wake up and vote, at least in their interests.
00:02:25.000 I mean, they don't have to vote all Republican.
00:02:26.000 Just let them vote half Republican like the Italians and the Hispanics do.
00:02:31.000 But, you know, the American Jews are who they are.
00:02:35.000 And what can I tell you?
00:02:37.000 We have a neighborhood expression.
00:02:38.000 I'm Sheov, a stiff-necked people.
00:02:41.000 That applies here, too.
00:02:43.000 Well, thank you so much.
00:02:44.000 Thank you.
00:02:44.000 Great.
