In this episode, I speak with Pastor Mattheo and his wife, Marlene, about how you can get involved in your community and help feed those in need. I also talk about the HECA Food Pantry and how they are going to continue to serve the community.

00:00:10.000We're here at his church, his congregation, Church of the Nazarene.
00:00:14.000And I want to say thank you to all my campaign volunteers.
00:00:16.000We helped coordinate a food bank today and we were able to provide food to families in need.
00:00:24.000People are having a hard time right now, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:00:28.000A lot of people are losing their jobs, a lot of people are going unemployed, and that's added on to people who may have already been hungry prior to the pandemic.
00:00:37.000And so we're working every day to improve the community here in District 21, and that's what I plan to do when I get elected.
00:00:44.000And I just wanted to allow the pastor and his wife to talk about how you can also get involved in the community.
00:00:56.000So we want the community to know that Laura is committed to work with HECA Food Pantry to continue to feed the community.
00:01:05.000Usually we feed about 7,000 people a month that we don't have a location where we can storage the food.
00:01:13.000And Laura is committed to help us cut all these trees and we put a building here.
00:01:19.000You see all these trees over there that we're going to cut them and put a building here so where we can storage the food and serve the community and feed the community.
