00:00:50.000 Yeah, so leading up to January 6th, you know, I won my House seat.
00:00:54.000 I was the first Republican to win my district in 98 years, won the landslide.
00:00:58.000 And I was so excited, but then I started seeing the presidential election being stolen, not only from Trump, but the American people.
00:01:04.000 And so my constituents, they reminded me, I was already planning to go, and they said, you're not only there for yourself, you're there representing us, being our voice.
00:01:10.000 And so I was peaceful that day, non-violent, non-destructive.
00:01:14.000 I walked in an open set of doors.
00:01:15.000 It's all on video, pinned to the top of my Twitter feed.

00:01:48.000 So I live-streamed the entire event on January 6th.

00:01:53.000 I thought, worst case scenario was, at the time, I was going to get a $50 ticket, just like the people who pound on the doors during the capital hearings.
00:02:00.000 So I was going to pay $50 to exercise my natural and God-given rights of free speech, but ultimately found myself facing $25.
00:02:06.000 I spent 24 years in prison.
00:02:08.000 Long story short, I had an 18-month legal battle, spent three months in federal prison, eight days in solitary.

00:02:15.000 Milan, Michigan.
00:02:17.000 So about six and a half hours, one way away from my house.
00:02:19.000 They're doing that to all the January 6th prisoners, by the way.
00:02:22.000 They're sending them miles away.
00:02:24.000 They make it as hard as possible.
00:02:26.000 So you were in jail for three months?
00:02:28.000 Yep.
00:02:29.000 Eight days of solitary confinement because they refused the COVID vaccine.
00:02:31.000 But you didn't back down?
00:02:32.000 Correct.
00:02:33.000 And so now you are running for office again.
00:02:35.000 You are a state rep and now you're running for United States Congress.
00:02:38.000 Yes ma'am.
00:02:38.000 What's the district?
00:02:39.000 It's West Virginia's first congressional district, southern half of West Virginia.
00:02:42.000 It is not only a red district, this is a Trump MAGA district.

00:02:45.000 And that's the cool thing about it.
00:02:47.000 So who else is in the race and what has been your experience thus far as a J6 or running for office? 0.91
00:02:52.000 So the seat is right now held by Carol Miller.
00:02:55.000 She is a Republican in name only, as we all know.
00:02:58.000 But the response has been great.
00:03:00.000 I mean, this is, once again, it's a Trump district.
00:03:03.000 When the people hear our story and they're reminded I was the state rep who actually stood up and got arrested, we're getting support more and more every single day.
00:03:12.000 It's absolutely fascinating.
00:03:13.000 And West Virginia.
00:03:13.000 Yep, absolutely.
00:03:15.000 And so, what's been the reaction from the Republican Party as a candidate, right?
00:03:20.000 Well, you could imagine the same reaction they give you and the same from the media and the establishment party.
00:03:24.000 You're not going to be getting on the Young Gun unless they're any time soon.
00:03:26.000 Of course, exactly.
00:03:26.000 Which we don't want there either, you know?
00:03:28.000 You don't want that.
00:03:28.000 No, no.
00:03:29.000 So, it's just like the same community.
00:03:30.000 Has there been any condemnation from Republicans or your opponents about you running as a J6er?
00:03:35.000 Honestly, most of them do that in silence.
00:03:37.000 And the reason why is I think that they're afraid to honestly come out and publicly be against me because they see so many of their own constituents who actually support me.
00:03:46.000 They're behind closed doors.
00:03:48.000 They don't come out in public to support me.
00:03:50.000 They're kind of remaining neutral because they're afraid to do anything.
00:03:54.000 You were only one of two, there's only two people in this country who were representatives, or at least we know of, maybe there are more, you know?
00:04:01.000 Maybe there are more, I don't know.
00:04:02.000 But two that we know of, representatives holding office who were arrested for their actions on J6, and the other guys out of New Mexico, the guy who founded, I forget his name...
00:04:14.000 Yep, Cowboys for Trump.
00:04:15.000 Cowboys for Trump.
00:04:16.000 And so it's quite remarkable.
00:04:19.000 It's quite remarkable.
00:04:20.000 And he had a lot of support as well.
00:04:21.000 And I believe he's also running for office.
00:04:23.000 Well, so his story is even crazier.
00:04:26.000 So Coy, and I've been telling anyone who would listen to me about this for a while, because it's very important.
00:04:32.000 So there's a group out of D.C., Soros-funded group called CREW, C-R-E-W, and they wanted to have Coy removed from office.
00:04:40.000 They tried to do a recall election.
00:04:42.000 Coy's constituents said, no, we want him as our county commissioner.
00:04:45.000 They refused to do that.
00:04:46.000 So then they filed a civil suit of insurrection, not criminally, civilly, Coy had no support from the Republican Party or anything, was forced to defend himself.
00:04:56.000 They moved the trial out of his home county to a liberal district in New Mexico and actually removed him from office via the Insurrection Act of Civil Insurrection.
00:05:07.000 Not criminally.
00:05:08.000 And then it was upheld by appellate court because he missed a deadline of some sort because he had no way.
00:05:14.000 So now we're hoping, he's got some legal representation now, we're hoping the Supreme Court will hear this case.
00:05:19.000 But this is going to set the precedent for President Trump because if they can use the civil way of insurrection, of going after a employee, and the courts say that, then they can turn around and do the same thing to President Trump.
00:05:31.000 That's exactly what it's all about.
00:05:32.000 Wow.
00:05:33.000 Everything surrounding January 6th was all to go after President Trump.
00:05:37.000 I've been telling anyone since I got out of prison in October.
00:05:40.000 I've told everyone, listen, they're coming after President Trump.
00:05:42.000 No, they are.
00:05:43.000 So what's the outlook on the race?
00:05:45.000 How are you doing?
00:05:45.000 What are the polls showing?
00:05:46.000 What's the sentiment on the ground?
00:05:48.000 Well, we haven't spent any money yet.
00:05:50.000 We're going against a six-year incumbent and we're polling in the 40s right now without spending any money.
00:05:55.000 So the people are hungry.
00:05:56.000 So people know you.
00:05:57.000 Absolutely.
00:05:58.000 And when we do the push polls, which is, you know, you're among people and say this is the former state house delegate member who was arrested for January 6th, we're actually leading by double digits in the polls when we do the push polls when they know that.

00:06:11.000 It's going to be a huge race.
00:06:13.000 It's a MAGA district through and through.

00:07:15.000 Oh yeah, including the wife of one of the individuals who was being denied cancer treatment and he hasn't done anything.

00:07:22.000 And then even when he's asked about it, he dances around and everything.
00:07:25.000 He's a jellyback rhino at the end of the day. 1.00

00:07:30.000 What people need to remember is, we're in a battle right now for the future of this country.

00:07:40.000 There is no one who is built for a time such as this like President Trump.

00:08:00.000 These are patriots, and President Trump has said publicly that he plans on giving all of them full pardons, every single one of them, so that's why we need to get President Trump back in office as well.
00:08:10.000 I want to share something with you really quick.
00:08:13.000 I've been a huge fan of yours for a long time, as many people who are in this movement have been, but coming out of prison, I hadn't really been on social media for a few years after January 6th, I was told by my attorney not to, you know, so I wasn't involved in anything.
00:08:28.000 And I was in a Twitter space, so I'd just been out of prison a couple weeks.
00:08:32.000 At this point, I still didn't really understand how the people felt about January 6th.
00:08:37.000 I knew how the media felt.
00:08:38.000 I knew how some of the people felt.
00:08:39.000 I didn't know how the people felt.
00:08:40.000 I was kind of tiptoeing around it.
00:08:42.000 And I came across a Twitter space and briefly shared my story, and somebody else had as well.
00:08:48.000 And I'll never forget it.
00:08:50.000 You said, I think that the January 6th prisoners are patriots.
00:08:53.000 And for me, just so you know, that was a huge turning point for me from a mental standpoint of like, okay, we got support out here.
00:09:00.000 Because up to that point, we didn't know that.
00:09:01.000 When I ran for Congress in Florida, I ran against a guy named Dan Webster, Rhino. 1.00
00:09:06.000 You know, just like Joe Biden, the guy who literally walks around with a light flare button, you know?
00:09:11.000 And literally.
00:09:12.000 He was the only Republican who skipped the vote on the J6 Committee.
00:09:16.000 And so, I campaigned on this issue.
00:09:19.000 And it is a very popular issue among the GOP voters.
00:09:22.000 They do believe that these people are political prisoners and they are patriots.
00:09:25.000 And so, you know, anyone who says otherwise, well, they're not MAGA. They're not America first.
00:09:30.000 Well, now that President Trump is a J-6 prisoner, you're going to see a lot of these people.
00:09:34.000 Yeah, he is a J-6 prisoner, isn't he?
00:09:36.000 Yeah, they're going to start seeing some of these establishment people be a little bit more friendly towards us, even though they don't want to be, but they're one of those things they're afraid not to be because President Trump's associated with it.
00:09:46.000 And so I think it's going to be interesting to see it.
00:09:48.000 But you were there before it was cool to support the January 6th president, so thank you.
00:09:52.000 Yeah, well, I've always been in support of them, so I think that the real insurrection took place in November 2020 when they fill our elections.
00:09:58.000 Absolutely did, 100% did, exactly.
00:09:59.000 I think January 6th needs to be a holiday.
