Transcript

00:00:00.000 Well, for those of you who have been watching this stream all day, you know that there have been a lot of really incredible speakers and attendees at Mike McDonald's election semis here in Missouri.
00:00:12.000 And I think one of the most interesting and certainly one of the most high-profile and Yeah, but he's just attending because he actually cares about election integrity.
00:00:27.000 Lou Dobbs.
00:00:29.000 Lou is somebody who I grew up watching on TV, on Fox News, before they decided that they didn't want to tell the truth about the elections.
00:00:38.000 And she's somebody that I agreely admire, somebody who has always been a strong So what made you want to come to Mike Lindell's election Senate?
00:00:53.000 We've got to save the count.
00:00:57.000 I guess it's an improvement.
00:00:58.000 And then we did ban rank choice voting.
00:01:00.000 We didn't have it to, but we banned it.
00:01:02.000 And then during the legislative session, we really did expose the rhinos.
00:01:07.000 So we had a lot of people, again, that we trained to go and testify in bills.
00:01:13.000 In 2022, we had five election-related bills.
00:01:16.000 We banned NGO fundings of elections in South Dakota that year.
00:01:20.000 That's the only election bill that passed.
00:01:22.000 Yeah, and I know that you were a really big critic of the way that the election in South Dakota was handled, and you were very upset.
00:01:28.000 I think you had exemplified a lot of courage, and not a lot of people in the mainstream media wanted to, you know.
00:01:34.000 That they felt they had to do something.
00:01:36.000 You did, and you paid a big price, ultimately, by, I guess, no longer with Fox News.
00:01:43.000 So how did that go down because to them?
00:01:46.000 Right, and nobody gave you permission.
00:01:47.000 Nobody said they'll do this.
00:01:50.000 You guys just did it.
00:01:51.000 And I just want to say, if I'm in a diamond, it's not exactly so pretty balanced.
00:01:56.000 What difference is that going to make?
00:01:57.000 You guys are going to drive all the way over there.
00:01:59.000 What difference is that going to make?
00:02:01.000 I haven't listened to you anyway.
00:02:03.000 My challenge is, what difference is it going to make if you don't do anything?
00:02:08.000 Right?
00:02:08.000 We have got to be there.
00:02:09.000 Show up, because it does make a difference.
00:02:11.000 And even if you can't see it that day, there's ripples going out behind you that you might never see, but God is taking what you're doing and spreading it everywhere.
00:02:22.000 All right.
00:02:23.000 Castport record lawsuit was filed.
00:02:26.000 Yes, we have a Castport record lawsuit.
00:02:28.000 We had kind of a smash group with procedural issues, and our first one was Smith's.
00:02:35.000 But South Dakota is one of those red states, totally ES&S machines, that have not gotten a single Castport record in the state.
00:02:42.000 And so it's, again, just a public record dispute.
00:02:46.000 And so we've got that going.
00:02:48.000 The opposition has until September 15, I believe, to respond, and then it should be in court soon.
00:02:55.000 Fantastic.
00:02:56.000 I love this.
00:02:57.000 The ES&S reps changed their answers due to the evidence that you all present.
00:03:04.000 It's just a war on terror.
00:03:05.000 It's a war on terror.
00:03:05.000 So the state reps and the ES&S executives are changing their answers to questions after we have said, you know what, that's not true.
00:03:12.000 And that's why I can't go for it.
00:03:13.000 I don't know what we're doing, but they're changing their answers because we're...
00:03:17.000 Not at all.
00:03:18.000 We are telling the truth and pointing out their lies, and so they have to admit that, you know, they're lying.
00:03:24.000 I love it.
00:03:24.000 This is with South Dakota Greens.
00:03:26.000 This is awesome.
00:03:27.000 Thank you so much, South Dakota.
00:03:29.000 And I think you will win on the facts.
00:03:31.000 And that truth, of course, is that the election is outstanding.
00:03:33.000 We see the evidence.
00:03:35.000 We all saw.
00:03:36.000 I think it's really interesting, the dynamics that exist at Fox, because moving right along to the race in Tennessee, let's bring out our representative, actually, because there is a lot to talk about.
00:03:48.000 There needs to come a point in terms of responsibility.
00:03:51.000 We want a lot of support.
00:03:53.000 You know, look at that school card here.
00:03:59.000 You guys were up to 31, we dropped out just a little bit in 28.
00:04:04.000 What's happening in Tennessee?
00:04:05.000 There seems to be a little bit of background that is...
00:04:07.000 They're all just here in balance, or at least.
00:04:09.000 And I know it's a little conservative, but we had that COVID decline.
00:04:15.000 But we really had citizens come together, and we had a lot of things going on.
00:04:24.000 We're trying to make our laws so much worse.
00:04:26.000 So we would really probably be down at like a 12 if we didn't have all these citizens.
00:04:32.000 So even though it looks like, oh, it's not so great, it must be an effort to do that.
00:04:39.000 Yeah, well, and you're going back up.
00:04:40.000 You guys are coming back up.
00:04:52.000 What does this mean, though, for journalism?
00:04:56.000 I went to school.
00:04:58.000 I have an election degree in broadcast journalism.
00:05:00.000 I was not the Korean.
00:05:02.000 It's hard because if you get cancelled and you're a journalist in this day and age, you see that everything is on social media now, it's kind of hard to be a criminalist and actually have an impact or have a career when you're completely blackballed in the modern public.
00:05:17.000 So what is your advice to people who actually want to spread the truth, who want to be in journalism, but are facing a career of being blackballed and blacklisted in the corporate media?
00:05:27.000 I wish I had a good answer for that question.
00:05:36.000 Wealthy interests were in any other country, they'd be called oligarchs.
00:05:40.000 We don't call them oligarchs.
00:05:41.000 We lionize them.
00:05:43.000 We basically bow down to them.
00:05:47.000 And we've lost sort of a sense of...
00:05:49.000 The left likes to talk about equity, but what equity is there in this society in which people don't respect Men and women who work for a living, who are not trying to contribute to the country to feed families and raise children.
00:06:11.000 That if you do not understand that there is immense power like that in what you're doing, you have to be as independent as possible and not be dependent on the corporate structure and not be dependent on the forces that you cover.
00:06:30.000 Because if you do, I always thought of myself very simply, You pay me a salary.
00:06:37.000 You have every company I've worked for.
00:06:41.000 There have only been fortunate a few.
00:06:45.000 You have the right to do what you want.
00:06:47.000 But I am not about it.
00:06:51.000 To compromise my principles, I'm not about to back down.
00:06:55.000 So are you happier being independent now?
00:06:57.000 Because I know you have your own podcast, right?
00:07:00.000 I do.
00:07:00.000 And I am happier.
00:07:02.000 And I have to say that my wife and I have sort of...
00:07:07.000 We just sort of discovered how good it feels.
00:07:10.000 We're very fortunate people because we've also worked over the course of our lives and we have put together a life savings.
00:07:20.000 So we have advantages that young journalists don't.
00:07:25.000 They're dependent.
00:07:27.000 They haven't made their way yet.
00:07:31.000 So I've always had the luxury of being...
00:07:33.000 I'm a poor boy who didn't go into journalism because of money.
00:07:38.000 I went into it because I wanted to report.
00:07:41.000 I really...
00:07:41.000 and I loved it.
00:07:43.000 You loved it.
00:07:44.000 It's fun.
00:07:44.000 And it's fun.
00:07:45.000 And I remember people saying, it's fun?
00:07:47.000 Well, you don't sound like a serious journalist.
00:07:49.000 Well, I'm sorry, but it's fun.
00:07:51.000 I love breaking stories.
00:07:52.000 I get such an adrenaline rush when I break a really big story.
00:07:56.000 And by the way, I'm dumb enough that I enjoyed bucking hay on the farm as a youngster.
00:08:04.000 I've enjoyed every aspect of life for various reasons.
00:08:10.000 What do you think?
00:08:11.000 I mean, you're obviously very concerned about our elections.
00:08:13.000 We talked about this in our interview as well earlier.
00:08:16.000 What do you think is the biggest threat going forward as we head into the 2024 election?
00:08:21.000 What are you concerned about?
00:08:22.000 Because I know that you're a supporter of President Trump, just like I am.
00:08:25.000 And, you know, he's been indicted.
00:08:26.000 And I think we all need to stand by him and support him, despite all of these witch hunts.
00:08:30.000 But what is your...
00:08:32.000 Greatest concern for 2024.
00:08:36.000 You ask it as personally, so personally?
00:08:40.000 My greatest concern is that I can't think of a way to extricate Donald Trump from this extraordinary political persecution that he's endured great years.
00:08:51.000 I can't come up with that and just terrific answer that is a way forward.
00:08:58.000 The Republican Party, I want to actually surround him, support him, and to make sure he's elected by acclamation because no one ever deserves the support of the American people more than this man.
00:09:12.000 And we know the Republican Party isn't going to do that because they're part of the problem.
00:09:15.000 They are a huge part of the problem.
00:09:18.000 And I think that we as citizens have to first understand we've got to do everything we can for this man, stand for him and fight back against the immense powerful forces that are arrayed against him and make certain that our voices are heard and understand too That we've got to be just like these folks,
00:09:39.000 engaged at the local level.
00:09:41.000 We've got to be engaged politically.
00:09:44.000 And we've got to understand, yeah, we may get our butts kicked, but it's a fight worth having.
00:09:51.000 And even if we don't win, We've done the right thing.
00:09:55.000 And that's got to be enough in this critical moment in our history.
00:09:58.000 Yeah, we have to fight.
00:09:59.000 We definitely have to fight.
00:10:00.000 And I think you're right.
00:10:01.000 People are starting to wake up.
00:10:03.000 People in the past thought of Fox News.
00:10:06.000 I talk about Fox News because I think it's important for people to understand that we have fake news at CNN, we have fake news at MSNBC, we have left-wing media, but we also have the same problem on the right.
00:10:16.000 And I think a lot of people are starting to realize, wow, these news networks that we've been watching for years, especially What they thought was conservative media really isn't so conservative after all.
00:10:26.000 And there truly is an anti-Trump bias at Fox News, I would say.
00:10:30.000 I don't know what your experience was.
00:10:33.000 My experience is I wasn't permitted to do, to report what I found to be the truth, the facts as I knew them.
00:10:41.000 And I'm very comfortable with that.
00:10:46.000 What I'm not comfortable with is the way in which, of course, the management decided to inform me when I was on vacation and the show was canceled.
00:10:55.000 Oh, on vacation?
00:10:57.000 That's how they did it?
00:10:58.000 My wife and I were off on a Friday, and that's when they decided to cancel the show.
00:11:02.000 Did they give you a phone call or did they email you?
00:11:04.000 No, no, no.
00:11:06.000 How did it go down, if you don't mind sharing?
00:11:08.000 Well, you know, we found out.
00:11:11.000 As a matter of fact, I can't remember exactly who.
00:11:15.000 It may have been my producer telling me that the show had been cancelled.
00:11:19.000 But the fact that I personally thought the management was more direct than they were, I was sort of just annoyed by that.
00:11:33.000 I was disappointed in my own judgment of the environment I was working in.
00:11:37.000 How many years were you with Fox?
00:11:39.000 I was from 2011 to 2020.
00:11:43.000 It's a long time.
00:11:44.000 It is.
00:11:45.000 Giving you the courtesy of a...
00:11:47.000 Well, you know, this wasn't about courtesy.
00:11:49.000 This was about politics, and that's tough stuff.
00:11:53.000 You know, my complaints are chiefly with myself for not comprehending the situation as I should have.
00:12:02.000 And my other complaints are that some people were not who I thought they were.
00:12:10.000 And that's on me, not them.
00:12:12.000 That's on me.
00:12:13.000 So, the other part of it is, I'm a guy who's, I've always been pretty resilient.
00:12:18.000 I'm not exactly weak-kneed.
00:12:20.000 And I'm still carrying on the battle in the public square and the arena.
00:12:27.000 Well, you've kept your integrity and your principles.
00:12:30.000 You didn't sell out just to take a paycheck, and I think that's admirable.
00:12:33.000 And I do believe that history is going to speak kindly of people like you and not so well about others who decided to sell out when our country needed people like us to stand up and fight when it mattered most.
00:12:46.000 So I think that more people should be courageous like you and speak out.
00:12:50.000 And, you know, President Trump loves you, I know.
00:12:52.000 He's always speaking very highly of you.
00:12:55.000 That must mean something.
00:12:58.000 Well, where can people follow you?
00:13:01.000 Because now you have your new show and want to make sure that people can watch your show.
00:13:06.000 The Great America Show.
00:13:07.000 It's on every major platform.
00:13:10.000 I think it was on every platform.
00:13:12.000 Okay.
00:13:13.000 And the podcast is, as the name implies, sort of shows my prejudice and bias.
00:13:19.000 So you can get that on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, all that stuff, right?
00:13:21.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:13:22.000 And then where can they follow you on social media?
00:13:24.000 On social media, at Lou Dobbs, at Lou Dobbs tonight on Instagram, and loudobs.com.
00:13:33.000 Great.
00:13:34.000 Yeah, and we're going to hopefully try to get you out to the villages for a Big Villagers for Trump rally.
00:13:39.000 And we have a lot of fans there.
00:13:40.000 It's where I ran for Congress, and we'd love to host you and have you out there.
00:13:45.000 So thank you so much.
00:13:46.000 It was great seeing you and interviewing you.
00:13:50.000 Thank you.
00:13:51.000 Keep up the fight.
00:13:52.000 I really admire you.
00:13:53.000 And I admire you.
00:13:55.000 Thank you.
00:13:55.000 All you do.
00:13:56.000 Thank you.
00:13:58.000 Great.
00:14:00.000 Well, as you can see, he's a fighter.
