Transcript

00:00:02.000 I don't know what to say.
00:00:04.000 Really.
00:00:06.000 Only three minutes to the biggest midterms of the last two years.
00:00:11.000 It all comes down to today.
00:00:14.000 Now either we heal as a mug club, or we crumble.
00:00:21.000 We're in progressive hell right now, gentlemen.
00:00:24.000 Believe me.
00:00:27.000 And we can stand around and get the shit kicked out of us Or we can claw our way back into the light.
00:00:38.000 We can climb out of hell!
00:00:41.000 No, I can't do it for you.
00:00:42.000 I'm too old.
00:00:47.000 I mean, I look at all these young muglovers' faces, and I think... I made every wrong choice a late-twenties, early-thirty-year-olds guy could make.
00:01:01.000 I, uh...
00:01:03.000 I pissed off all the social media giants.
00:01:08.000 I pushed away every Hollywood agent who's ever represented me.
00:01:13.000 And lately, I can't even stand watching the clip of Anna Kasparian telling me she's f***ing better than me.
00:01:24.000 You know, when you come out as a conservative, things get taken from you.
00:01:31.000 I mean, that's a part of life.
00:01:34.000 But you only learn that part when people start calling you a Nazi.
00:01:40.000 And you find out that life is a game of inches.
00:01:48.000 And so's Mug Club.
00:01:51.000 They're trying to shut us down before this election.
00:01:57.000 The inches we need are everywhere around this muck club.
00:02:02.000 In this muck club, we fight for that inch.
00:02:07.000 In this muck club, we tear ourselves to pieces, throw ourselves at super videos, we change minds, and we even make tranny jokes for that inch.
00:02:20.000 Because we know, when we add up all those Mug Club ballots, and all those minds change, that's gonna mean the f***ing difference between winning or losing!
00:02:34.000 And either we vote now, as one Mug Club, or we get banned.
00:02:41.000 That's individual.
00:02:45.000 That's Mug Club, guys.
00:02:49.000 That's all it is.
00:02:52.000 Now!
00:02:55.000 What are you gonna do?
00:03:05.000 Join Mock Club today!
00:03:07.000 Hey!
00:03:08.000 And vote.
00:03:10.000 or die as individuals.
00:03:14.000 You're a strange animal That's what I know
00:03:20.000 You're a strange animal I come to follow
00:03:26.000 On your disability Disabled, disabled
00:03:32.000 I'm a stranger I'm a stranger
00:03:38.000 I'm a stranger On your disability
00:03:44.000 You you
00:03:47.000 That was my Bozo the Clown inflatable boxing bag when I was a kid.
00:03:51.000 It used to kick the crap out of me.
00:03:53.000 I had no idea.
00:03:55.000 It took me about four times.
00:03:56.000 Boom!
00:03:57.000 Snap!
00:03:58.000 What the hell just happened?
00:04:00.000 Speaking of which, I was 14.
00:04:02.000 I was 14.
00:04:04.000 After I got my butt kicked in the male's locker room, in Jim's locker room.
00:04:07.000 Daniel Cormier is on the show today.
00:04:09.000 Light heavyweight champion, heavyweight champion.
00:04:12.000 Probably his last fight coming up on Saturday.
00:04:14.000 Really?
00:04:15.000 And his manager is a fan.
00:04:16.000 He's just a decent guy.
00:04:17.000 We'll be talking a little bit more in general about fear, about life, about strength.
00:04:21.000 You're probably a fan.
00:04:22.000 I don't know.
00:04:23.000 That's actually, for those who don't know, Third Chair, Nim the Great on Twitter, and it's just Eric Nimmer on Instagram, right?
00:04:28.000 Yeah!
00:04:28.000 Comedian, he tours a lot with Owen.
00:04:31.000 Very funny gentleman.
00:04:31.000 What's the wine of the day, G. Morgan Jr.?
00:04:32.000 We have a little Taylor Flatgate Late Bottle Vintage Port.
00:04:35.000 Taylor Flatgate.
00:04:37.000 Oh, by the way, I had an old bottle of Port that turned out it was good.
00:04:40.000 It was great!
00:04:41.000 We tried it.
00:04:41.000 You praised it.
00:04:42.000 Quarter Black, show Nimmer your hood pass.
00:04:44.000 Yeah, what's up?
00:04:45.000 Follow me on Black Twitter.
00:04:45.000 I'm very uncomfortable.
00:04:46.000 Black Twitter.
00:04:47.000 I want to see some black-on-black violence erupt right now.
00:04:50.000 Right now.
00:04:51.000 Go.
00:04:51.000 Nimmer, you have my full and complete authority.
00:04:55.000 We're talking about the election, by the way, everyone.
00:04:57.000 We're talking about the election, the polls.
00:04:59.000 So question of the day, before we get to other stories, right around the corner, what do you think about the polls?
00:05:04.000 Do you trust the polls?
00:05:05.000 Do you think the pollsters get it right?
00:05:06.000 How valid are they, if at all?
00:05:08.000 Are you expecting a blue wave?
00:05:10.000 I think we're probably going to... It's going to be more of a pond ripple at this point.
00:05:15.000 But what are you thinking with polls?
00:05:16.000 I hear a lot of people going, well, the polls got it completely wrong before, so polls are completely invalid.
00:05:20.000 I don't think that's necessarily the case.
00:05:21.000 And I don't think that they're the end all, be all.
00:05:23.000 Don't let it manipulate your voting behavior, however.
00:05:26.000 That's what's most important.
00:05:28.000 And of course, subscribe on iTunes, and let's get Instagram to verify me.
00:05:31.000 Our top story today, Kanye West, well, not really even today, but people are still talking about it because he won't go away.
00:05:38.000 He announced on Twitter that he's distancing himself from politics.
00:05:42.000 Yeah.
00:05:43.000 From the BBC.
00:05:45.000 My eyes are now wide open and I now realize I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in.
00:05:50.000 I'm completely focusing on the creative.
00:05:53.000 Also, I'm Jesus.
00:05:54.000 He really is.
00:05:57.000 I'm being crazy.
00:05:57.000 This is what you do.
00:05:59.000 We'll run a clip at some point, probably the audio only version if you're not on iTunes because that can't go out live.
00:06:04.000 Remember when the Kanye thing happened?
00:06:05.000 I think he might have been here.
00:06:06.000 And I said, hold on a second.
00:06:07.000 This is the guy.
00:06:09.000 He's going to change back.
00:06:10.000 Let's stop with the hero work.
00:06:11.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:06:12.000 He was kind of crazy to begin with, a little bit.
00:06:14.000 He's a little crazy.
00:06:15.000 Well, actually, yeah, you know, we have exclusive of his new single, and I mean, if you listen closely, even according to his, if you look at where he is lyrically, he seems a little confused.
00:06:24.000 La, la, la, la, wait till I get my opinions right.
00:06:31.000 I had a dream I could get with Owens Candace.
00:06:34.000 Said the sun revolved around the Earthses.
00:06:37.000 I was my guy for about a second.
00:06:40.000 Man, it's so hard not to change positions.
00:06:43.000 Don't know what, I think I kinda guessed it.
00:06:45.000 Hard to know the truth when you were just the bestest.
00:06:48.000 Liberal then MAGA, then again a liberal.
00:06:51.000 George Bush, still don't care about black people.
00:06:56.000 Lied to keep escaping me, even as a baby mama couldn't get through to me.
00:07:01.000 My sneakers, pay less screwing me.
00:07:03.000 I'm on Twitter begging you just to buy them please.
00:07:07.000 I'm just telling you the truth man, I ain't completely literate, I don't know how to read man.
00:07:13.000 I was pro-Trump till I changed him.
00:07:16.000 I guess I didn't get the acronym.
00:07:18.000 La, la, la, la.
00:07:21.000 Wait till I get my opinions right.
00:07:24.000 La, la, la, la.
00:07:27.000 Then you're gonna buy my sneakers, right?
00:07:31.000 Excuse me, did you buy my sneakers?
00:07:33.000 Nuh-uh, you didn't buy my sneakers.
00:07:37.000 We just wanted half of you to walk out right away.
00:07:40.000 And mission accomplished.
00:07:41.000 Right away.
00:07:42.000 That didn't really take a long time for that to come around.
00:07:45.000 No, it didn't take long for me to be confused.
00:07:47.000 Somebody had to be in his ear like, just, are you insane?
00:07:50.000 By the way, apparently Lionel didn't realize.
00:07:52.000 You must know this, Eric, right?
00:07:53.000 His sneakers tanked.
00:07:54.000 Yeah, the Yeezys.
00:07:54.000 I just want to be the one on the record saying that all of his opinions aren't wrong.
00:07:57.000 Taylor Swift is terrible.
00:07:57.000 Yeah, I knew!
00:07:58.000 You did not know.
00:07:59.000 Before the show, Edwin, he wasn't here yet, and they were all like, what are you talking
00:08:02.000 about sneakers?
00:08:03.000 Yeah, no, the Yeezys.
00:08:04.000 Yeah, they were terrible.
00:08:05.000 I just want to be the one on the record saying that all of his opinions aren't wrong.
00:08:09.000 Taylor Swift is terrible.
00:08:10.000 I agree with that.
00:08:11.000 She remade Earth, Wind & Fire September, and I've never hated something so much.
00:08:15.000 I'll tell you what, Brodigan, who works with us, is a huge Taylor Swift fan, and he's the
00:08:21.000 kind of face that black people see in their nightmares.
00:08:23.000 Not long ago, he would've been the Hell's Angel with the beard showing up, like, we heard that you kissed a white girl.
00:08:30.000 That's so true.
00:08:32.000 It's so true.
00:08:32.000 He's the sweetest guy.
00:08:34.000 But if you were to see him and just put a leather three-piece rocker on him, you'd be like, oh my god.
00:08:38.000 We'll let him know how you feel about Taylor.
00:08:41.000 Oh, she's terrible.
00:08:42.000 I agree with that.
00:08:44.000 I love Brodigan.
00:08:45.000 Really?
00:08:46.000 I don't think she's terrible.
00:08:47.000 I love Brodigan.
00:08:48.000 I think it's weird that he likes Pitch Perfect.
00:08:49.000 In tech news!
00:08:52.000 No engineers are organizing a walkout over an alleged sexual harassment.
00:08:57.000 This comes from BuzzFeed.
00:08:59.000 The, quote, women's walk is to protest recent revelations about Google's protection of employees that had allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct.
00:09:06.000 The walkout will occur, it seems like, this week, while the remaining engineers at Google are planning, quote, the best casual Friday ever.
00:09:12.000 Yeah, they seem pretty happy about this.
00:09:14.000 Yeah, I'd be happy with that one.
00:09:15.000 I think that's a female on the poll.
00:09:16.000 No love lost.
00:09:17.000 You're not even JavaScript.
00:09:19.000 They didn't all walk out.
00:09:23.000 We're going to get letters.
00:09:25.000 But send us your comments about the polls.
00:09:26.000 That's what really matters here, folks.
00:09:28.000 Not the racist Asian jokes.
00:09:29.000 They can take it.
00:09:31.000 We were actually able to obtain an official copy of the women's walks, I think is the kind of group it's been called, complaints, including some of the alleged, of course, the comments and questions that were made at Google.
00:09:40.000 So we've actually collected our favorites for this week's 7 Plus 1!
00:09:43.000 You forgot Stefan in the chamber!
00:09:49.000 Never forget the one in the chamber as everyone here well knows.
00:09:53.000 7 plus 1 this week.
00:09:54.000 Top sexual assault comments from Google employees.
00:09:57.000 We didn't know what to title it.
00:09:58.000 Number 7.
00:09:59.000 Do you know the difference between software and hardware?
00:10:02.000 DOS titties.
00:10:06.000 Actually, the bullet makes sense.
00:10:10.000 Let's have Nim the Great give us number 6.
00:10:12.000 There you go.
00:10:14.000 You so fine, I never ban you for dead naming trannies.
00:10:18.000 Boom!
00:10:19.000 Oh, there you go.
00:10:20.000 It sounded so much nicer when he says it.
00:10:22.000 It did, yeah.
00:10:23.000 He really does sound like it.
00:10:23.000 You need more of like a militant black voice for that.
00:10:26.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:10:26.000 Maybe next time.
00:10:27.000 Like Kanye, like Kanye pre-Trump.
00:10:30.000 Maybe he'll go back to that, you know?
00:10:31.000 I don't know.
00:10:32.000 It's kind of like Mike Tyson.
00:10:34.000 He was like, well, first I want to say I'm very glad for my sponsorship with Wheaties.
00:10:37.000 I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
00:10:39.000 Fast forward two years.
00:10:40.000 I want to make orphans of his children.
00:10:41.000 Praise be to Allah.
00:10:42.000 Don't talk to me unless I've fornicated with you, bitch.
00:10:46.000 It was a fast turnaround.
00:10:47.000 It was a very fast turnaround.
00:10:49.000 Do you know what the common denominator was?
00:10:52.000 It's long.
00:10:54.000 Number five.
00:10:56.000 Top seven sexual assault comments at Google.
00:10:57.000 Number five.
00:10:58.000 Your Google ass looks great in my Google Glass.
00:11:01.000 It is definitely not a thing.
00:11:02.000 Remember Google Glass was going to be the next big thing?
00:11:03.000 I thought that was going to be like the thing.
00:11:05.000 And I'm like, eh.
00:11:05.000 Do you remember that?
00:11:06.000 Do you remember the Google Glass?
00:11:07.000 No, I don't at all.
00:11:09.000 Was that the thing that they want to flip down and have like your everything?
00:11:13.000 No, you're thinking of LeVar Burton in Star Trek, which is understandable.
00:11:17.000 That's actually what I thought of when you said it, I was like, ah.
00:11:20.000 That was the most, like, they designed something that couldn't possibly, imagine being on set with LeVar Burton.
00:11:25.000 Oh yeah.
00:11:25.000 He must have had an assistant, just a seeing eye dog assistant, basically.
00:11:29.000 That would suck.
00:11:30.000 It's like, all right, am I on the spaceship?
00:11:32.000 No, you're at craft services.
00:11:33.000 Well, I don't have to take your word for it, that's.
00:11:36.000 All right.
00:11:39.000 Number four, for people who don't know Reading Rainbow, I don't care.
00:11:42.000 We'll give Nim, Nim number four.
00:11:45.000 Hey, you wanna go Star Wars prequel and chill?
00:11:47.000 I think they hate the prequels.
00:11:51.000 Which ones are the good ones?
00:11:57.000 That seems a little bit on the nose, a little derivative.
00:12:00.000 I love how Engineer Abby is like, it's okay to laugh at this.
00:12:03.000 Your mother already knows that you work on this show, Abby.
00:12:05.000 It's okay, you can laugh.
00:12:07.000 I'm taking number two because I won.
00:12:11.000 Number two sexual assault comments overheard at Google.
00:12:13.000 This is actually the women's walk women's walk.
00:12:15.000 It's because it was March Number two you should see the Yelp reviews on my cock.
00:12:20.000 It's mostly four stars, but one girl was a bitch By the way, I don't like the- It's always that one review.
00:12:27.000 After we wrote this, I was like, it should be Google Place Reviews or something.
00:12:30.000 Or what's, uh, they bought Zagat?
00:12:33.000 Something Under the Google Umbrella, Rodigan.
00:12:35.000 Were you too busy watching Pitch Perfect 19?
00:12:38.000 Wait, what was the name of that?
00:12:39.000 He's quite a fan.
00:12:40.000 What was the other thing?
00:12:41.000 Zagat.
00:12:42.000 Wow!
00:12:43.000 That's a very common thing.
00:12:44.000 It's like, it was before all... Zagat was restaurant review, Meg.
00:12:48.000 Really?
00:12:49.000 What kind of childhood... There really are some cultural differences.
00:12:51.000 Man, you white people have strange things.
00:12:52.000 Well, I'm just saying, that's ballsy in the internet area.
00:12:55.000 Be like, hey, did you check the Zagats?
00:12:56.000 Like, how did the Zagat report on it?
00:12:58.000 Like, ew.
00:12:59.000 You can never trust a zagging score.
00:13:02.000 It's pretentious.
00:13:04.000 Actually, we're going to have G. Morgan Jr.
00:13:06.000 read the number one comment overheard at Google that spurred the women's walk.
00:13:12.000 I've got a Google map straight to your heart.
00:13:14.000 No, say number one.
00:13:16.000 Give it enthusiasm.
00:13:17.000 He needs to give it enthusiasm.
00:13:19.000 Number one.
00:13:21.000 I've got a Google map.
00:13:22.000 Split the difference.
00:13:25.000 Damn you!
00:13:26.000 Number one, I've got a Google map straight to your heart and c**ks.
00:13:30.000 Yeah, by the way, I told you I was going to bleep that.
00:13:32.000 We're not.
00:13:33.000 Oh, come on!
00:13:35.000 And the top Google sexual assault comments ever heard at the office that led to the women's walk.
00:13:40.000 The plus one, did you fall out of heaven?
00:13:43.000 Because I'm an autistic atheist who really wants to have sex with you.
00:13:45.000 That's been this week's 7 Plus 1.
00:13:47.000 You forgot to turn in the chamber!
00:13:52.000 Oh Google, when will they get it right?
00:13:55.000 I'm really scared, though, that this could backfire for all the women.
00:13:58.000 Like, it's like, they walk out, and then it's like, oh, wait, this is the greatest work experience.
00:14:02.000 Like, their stock just skyrockets, and now you have an office full of sexists now.
00:14:08.000 Turns out sex offenders are incredibly productive.
00:14:10.000 Look at our bottom line!
00:14:11.000 Look!
00:14:12.000 Profits up, bitching down!
00:14:16.000 Yeah, well look, they're actually pissed off about something that happened four years ago.
00:14:19.000 The guy who invented Android got a big buyout and the claims were never even substantiated.
00:14:25.000 He was supposedly somebody, he had sex with somebody in a hotel room, right?
00:14:28.000 Or got him to give him a bulls**t, right?
00:14:30.000 But it was never proven at all.
00:14:31.000 Gerald is just throwing all different kinds of heat today.
00:14:33.000 That's the word that gets used in this case, right?
00:14:36.000 No, don't repeat it.
00:14:38.000 Because you're outing me here.
00:14:38.000 Wow.
00:14:40.000 Censor button.
00:14:41.000 Censor button.
00:14:42.000 What are you talking about?
00:14:43.000 They're pissed off over that.
00:14:44.000 It happened in 2014.
00:14:45.000 The buyout that he got $90 million.
00:14:47.000 Back off from the mic a little bit.
00:14:49.000 You're giving everyone a heart attack because it's like... This is the thing with Gerald.
00:14:52.000 Before the show, he tests it and then he starts... What the hell are you doing?
00:14:56.000 He gets too excited.
00:14:57.000 It's like when he gets around a black guy.
00:14:58.000 Lottie, Lottie, Lottie!
00:15:00.000 I haven't used black voice once.
00:15:02.000 No, he hasn't done it with you because we read him the riot act with the Hodge twins.
00:15:05.000 Oh, he did it with me the first time.
00:15:08.000 I actually told him right before the show.
00:15:10.000 I was like, I'm proud of you for yesterday.
00:15:11.000 You went the whole episode.
00:15:12.000 You didn't do it because I was waiting for you.
00:15:14.000 But it comes from a place of love.
00:15:15.000 Yeah, but there's more than just the Android thing now.
00:15:17.000 This isn't just about the Android guy.
00:15:18.000 There was three total guys, but he was the one.
00:15:20.000 They were pissed off because he got a buyout.
00:15:21.000 Yeah.
00:15:22.000 So anyway, whatever.
00:15:23.000 Also because he raped them.
00:15:26.000 Never happened.
00:15:27.000 Before we get to polls, before we get to the election, the final story of the day, a St.
00:15:30.000 Louis daycare has now been running a fight club ring, which was caught on camera.
00:15:36.000 It's not exactly UFC 230, which Daniel Cormie will talk about next, but watch the clip.
00:15:40.000 A disturbing sight.
00:15:42.000 A class of preschoolers watching as two kids rain punches on each other.
00:15:47.000 It's being called a fight club for kids.
00:15:49.000 Epic.
00:15:51.000 By the way, if you continue watching that, that mom there is one, she's like an inch away
00:15:51.000 Boom.
00:15:56.000 from yelling out World Star Hip Hop.
00:15:58.000 She's jumping, she's like, oh damn, oh damn.
00:16:01.000 Like it's 2 o'clock in the morning at a Whataburger.
00:16:04.000 Wait, are we offended by this?
00:16:06.000 Because I got at least 60 on the kid in blue.
00:16:09.000 Like he kept his elbow in and I think he got him.
00:16:12.000 I think, yeah, I got you.
00:16:13.000 Yeah, let's do it.
00:16:14.000 Here's the deal.
00:16:15.000 This has become viral because too many people have the problem with the obvious.
00:16:18.000 Kids beating each other up.
00:16:20.000 Having watched the video, I'm actually more concerned with some of the mental health of the children in question.
00:16:27.000 You don't know where I've been, Lou!
00:16:29.000 You don't know where I've been!
00:16:31.000 You don't know where I've been!
00:16:34.000 Where's my juice box, Lou?
00:16:36.000 Where's my juice box, Lou?
00:16:41.000 Where's the juice box man?
00:16:43.000 Juice box or fighting where Gerald is incredibly confused because he's I don't think Gerald's ever seen fight club. I
00:16:46.000 love fight club Are you kidding me? Oh, he's just Benny was just disturbed.
00:16:49.000 I was very disturbed. He was watching like this clip why would he do that all right
00:16:57.000 Anyone have anything else they want to move on here, or is this all going to be rested on me today?
00:17:00.000 Okay, good, I guess.
00:17:02.000 I'm glad I took some caffeine pills.
00:17:03.000 Listen, listen, it's following the script.
00:17:04.000 Gerald writes, Android guy!
00:17:06.000 They were upset because of Bio, and then, like, you're like, okay, Joe, that's a good idea, and then it's like, that's all, that's it, that's all they're mad about, the Android guy.
00:17:12.000 That's all they're mad about.
00:17:14.000 Oh, right, that's why it's not Lionel West G. Morgan Jr.
00:17:17.000 Or Nimmer.
00:17:18.000 Or Nimmer.
00:17:18.000 Don't be the toadium laughing for me.
00:17:21.000 None of you.
00:17:22.000 None of you.
00:17:23.000 Band of brothers.
00:17:23.000 No, I'm kidding.
00:17:24.000 Although, did you see the fan that he had the Minnie Mouse at U of M?
00:17:28.000 Yeah, she was like, I'm Gerald's fangirl.
00:17:30.000 I never knew that.
00:17:31.000 She's excited.
00:17:32.000 See, that was actually a test.
00:17:33.000 It did happen.
00:17:34.000 But it tells me that Gene Morgan Jr.
00:17:35.000 doesn't watch the show.
00:17:36.000 Which is why he's incredibly ill-prepared.
00:17:38.000 It was on yesterday's show.
00:17:40.000 For those who are Mug Club members, please tweet him that he does not watch the show.
00:17:44.000 OK, so let's look at the election.
00:17:46.000 I think beforehand, I'm not really a political guy.
00:17:47.000 I think actually you probably are more than I am.
00:17:49.000 I know Ben Shapiro, Brodigan, is brilliant with this stuff.
00:17:53.000 So what are the odds saying right now?
00:17:54.000 For Republicans to keep control of the Senate, it's about a 6 in 7 chance.
00:17:57.000 And then there's a 1 in 7 chance that Republicans keep control of the House.
00:18:01.000 OK?
00:18:02.000 So very likely that Democrats Take control now.
00:18:05.000 It's kind of a flip.
00:18:06.000 That being said, I think Democrats are going to be surprised.
00:18:11.000 I don't know if anyone else has any opinions on this or if I'm going to be resting here by myself.
00:18:14.000 I hope so.
00:18:16.000 Jerk.
00:18:17.000 I definitely have opinions on this.
00:18:18.000 I think because of the Kavanaugh thing that we're probably going to see a lot more people that are Republicans do better or win, but I'm worried that it happened so long ago in political time, right?
00:18:27.000 For some reason we forget stuff after about a week.
00:18:30.000 And so something usually has to happen within the last week of the election to get people out to the polls.
00:18:35.000 And I don't know if that carryover is going to happen.
00:18:37.000 Putting a get-her-done flag on a bomb outside of an envelope doesn't do it?
00:18:41.000 Is that not a needle mover?
00:18:42.000 Maybe something else.
00:18:44.000 I think they're probably going to win the house.
00:18:46.000 I do think they're probably.
00:18:47.000 But by a very, very slim margin.
00:18:50.000 I think the blue wave, if you're expecting a giant blue wave, I think they'll be surprised.
00:18:54.000 That's entirely conjecture.
00:18:56.000 Oh, they'll be like bipartisan movements and working and Congress will become effective.
00:18:56.000 Eric, what's your take?
00:19:02.000 Like, you know?
00:19:03.000 I don't know.
00:19:04.000 It's far easier to be a cynic than to tell us how you really feel.
00:19:07.000 Exactly.
00:19:08.000 It's just like, ugh, this lunch sucks, rather than tell everyone in a school cafeteria that you're hurting inside.
00:19:14.000 Sorry I didn't go to the Zaggit's before I ate lunch.
00:19:17.000 No, Zaggit is a grading system.
00:19:19.000 He really doesn't know much.
00:19:19.000 He doesn't realize it's not a restaurant, it's a system of ratings.
00:19:22.000 It was Yelp before Yelp was a thing.
00:19:24.000 I just feel like it's a slur that you guys got away with.
00:19:30.000 It is a biracial gay.
00:19:33.000 A zebra f***ed Zaggit.
00:19:36.000 No, it's a real thing.
00:19:41.000 So wait, I'm... I would be... And by the way, also, Zagat's have to be incredibly unfunny, apparently.
00:19:45.000 Oh, seriously!
00:19:47.000 Have you ever seen Trevor Noah be funny?
00:19:49.000 Accidentally?
00:19:50.000 There was... His first special wasn't horrible.
00:19:52.000 Okay.
00:19:53.000 Soon as he got money, it just sucked.
00:19:55.000 It destroyed him.
00:19:55.000 I think all the political stuff he does sucks.
00:19:57.000 I just think he's not funny.
00:19:59.000 I thought Jon Stewart was brilliant and very funny.
00:20:00.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:20:01.000 And I disagreed with both of what he said, but I really... I also don't find Chris Rock funny.
00:20:04.000 I think Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy... I just don't find Chris... I feel like I'm told to like Chris Rock.
00:20:08.000 Yeah, I agree with that.
00:20:17.000 I don't know.
00:20:19.000 It's not fair to say that polls are always wrong.
00:20:22.000 Neither of those positions are correct.
00:20:24.000 But, and I think this is very important because the left wants you to do this, you certainly shouldn't base your voting habits on polls.
00:20:32.000 We'll talk about mental strength, mental fortitude with Daniel Cormier who had to overcome some serious adversity in his life.
00:20:40.000 It's the World War II propaganda, you know?
00:20:41.000 You have already lost the war!
00:20:43.000 The Judens are all dead!
00:20:46.000 Give up hope!
00:20:47.000 They used to do it in private, right?
00:20:47.000 They did that!
00:20:49.000 That's what the left is trying to do, and I think they tried to do it with Trump, and all of a sudden the national polls closed quite a bit with Trump nationally, right before he won.
00:20:57.000 They gave him a 99% chance that Hillary Clinton would win the national election.
00:21:02.000 Well, you were with me that night, remember?
00:21:04.000 Our entire election stream was just tuning into The Young Turks and watching the New York Times odds numbers.
00:21:09.000 It was great.
00:21:10.000 It was one of the best nights ever.
00:21:11.000 So I have a legitimate question for you.
00:21:13.000 Why do we even have polls in the first place?
00:21:15.000 Let me frame the question a little bit.
00:21:18.000 Polls affect how you vote, like you just said.
00:21:21.000 If you're in a place where you're voting for somebody who's going to win, running away, then you're probably not going to go vote.
00:21:27.000 Or maybe you're on the fence and you're not going to go out, right?
00:21:30.000 And so if the poll says they're going to run away, you're going to stay home.
00:21:32.000 So, I don't know that I even like polls before the election anyway.
00:21:35.000 See, I disagree.
00:21:36.000 I don't know what their purpose is.
00:21:38.000 Their purpose is for people, obviously, there should be polls for people who are running for office.
00:21:41.000 I understand that these are valuable... Well, yeah, but that's internal polling they do all the time.
00:21:44.000 Here's the thing.
00:21:44.000 Yeah.
00:21:45.000 I don't care.
00:21:46.000 Because if someone is that easily influenced, then they're an idiot who's probably not going to vote.
00:21:50.000 I know, but that's the majority of the electorate, unfortunately.
00:21:52.000 No, it's not.
00:21:53.000 That's the thing.
00:21:54.000 And that's actually why polls are inaccurate.
00:21:56.000 No, no, the truth is that's why polls are inaccurate very often, is that they don't necessarily, they're not, there isn't a good mechanism, there aren't effective metrics in place to measure voter enthusiasm.
00:22:08.000 So, I mean we'll talk, I think we have a source later from Fox, young people lean overwhelmingly left, they don't vote.
00:22:08.000 Right.
00:22:14.000 It's the same thing with black people, except for Obama.
00:22:17.000 It's the same thing.
00:22:18.000 It's why they weren't able to measure Donald Trump.
00:22:20.000 They don't have a metric to sort of test enthusiastic voting bases who really are a quiet majority sometimes.
00:22:29.000 So that is why they get it wrong.
00:22:30.000 And I think that's important.
00:22:31.000 And I do think that they try to manipulate that by putting out these polls, this doomsday scenario, because they actually want to manipulate public opinion.
00:22:39.000 But I want them to try, because and it's even sweeter.
00:22:42.000 I'm not actually mad at black people not voting this time around.
00:22:45.000 Like at first I used to be like, what?
00:22:47.000 We should get out there.
00:22:48.000 And then I was on Twitter.
00:22:49.000 I was like, wait, so if you come out as a Republican, CNN calls you a coon.
00:22:52.000 If you come out as a Democrat, they say you're on a plantation.
00:22:56.000 Either way, it's done.
00:22:58.000 I don't know what CNN... No, I mean, like Twitter.
00:23:00.000 They'll be like, oh, you're just a slave on a plantation.
00:23:02.000 Are you talking about, like, two people who say that stuff?
00:23:04.000 No, that's the argument.
00:23:05.000 Candace Owen says that.
00:23:07.000 She says, like, if you vote Democrat, you're just on the plantation.
00:23:10.000 I was like, wait, so I'm a coon?
00:23:11.000 Candace Owen says that.
00:23:12.000 The difference is, the Democratic Party tells you that you're a traitor and not black enough if you are a Republican.
00:23:18.000 The Republican Party doesn't say you're on the plantation.
00:23:20.000 One person does.
00:23:21.000 No, the Democratic Party, actually, you know, they've always said, not black enough.
00:23:25.000 Apparently Hillary Clinton's more black than them or because she says, hot sauce, before they stab her with a dazzle pen.
00:23:30.000 Let's go through just a few polling debacles that come to mind.
00:23:34.000 There are three, but two will just kind of set them up as a clout.
00:23:36.000 Brexit, they were way off.
00:23:38.000 Unless they just override the people's vote, which they're trying to do right now.
00:23:41.000 Yeah, which is what they do.
00:23:42.000 But they could override in retrospect.
00:23:43.000 Our entirely polling numbers seem to have been incorrect.
00:23:46.000 Well, let's screw them against the wall, shall we?
00:23:51.000 Bernie Sanders, as much as I don't like him, I think he's crazy.
00:23:53.000 I'm not talking about winning the primary against Hillary Clinton because she had more money than God.
00:23:57.000 Sometimes I'm pretty sure that God calls up Clinton and is like, ring ring!
00:24:00.000 You know, I don't like making this call.
00:24:04.000 But I have a Tesla to pay for.
00:24:09.000 She's paying for it, too, man.
00:24:10.000 She was absolutely going to be the president, and then Barack Obama, and then absolutely going to be the president, then Donald Trump.
00:24:15.000 So she didn't win the primary and national polls, but they were very, very inaccurate with Bernie Sanders in a lot of states.
00:24:21.000 For example, Michigan, where Jean-Guy went.
00:24:23.000 You saw Journey for Bernie.
00:24:25.000 I think Clinton had a 99% chance of winning.
00:24:27.000 It's a 90-something percent chance of winning in Michigan, and Bernie won handily.
00:24:31.000 So they got that completely wrong, and Bernie was like, Yes!
00:24:35.000 Score one for all chromagony Jews!
00:24:38.000 Socialists.
00:24:39.000 I thought our time had passed!
00:24:43.000 Um... It really is blooming late.
00:24:45.000 Thank God for Cortez!
00:24:46.000 Nina Pinter, Santa Maria!
00:24:49.000 I love that filthy bitch!
00:24:52.000 Um... By the way, hit the notification bell or the mug club.
00:24:56.000 If you're watching this, you're saying you want more of it, Lollapalooza.com slash MugClub, you get a seven-day free trial.
00:25:00.000 We can't continue this show without you joining MugClub, of course, on YouTube because of the overlords.
00:25:05.000 And we're not sponsored by Farmer's Dog, even though Hopper eats it.
00:25:07.000 No idea why!
00:25:09.000 And then, of course, the number one polling, this is the obvious, Trump's election.
00:25:09.000 No idea why!
00:25:14.000 Almost all of the polls got this completely wrong.
00:25:17.000 And I will say this, I thought that he was going to lose.
00:25:19.000 Remember before this I said the election?
00:25:21.000 I said, listen, don't ask me because if someone like Thomas Sowell of Charles Krauthammer, rest in peace at that point, and even Dick Morris, I mean between foot massages, got it wrong.
00:25:32.000 I'm not the guy who's going to get elections right.
00:25:34.000 So I'll offer you my opinion on what I think regarding certain candidates.
00:25:38.000 When it came to the election, I said, I think it's probably a 60-40 chance Hillary wins.
00:25:42.000 I didn't say 99% like the New York Times, but I did put more trust in the polls, and I learned a lesson.
00:25:47.000 Yeah, so when we were doing that show, I was actually preparing myself to talk about Hillary Clinton in some kind of light as the winner.
00:25:53.000 Like, I knew she was going to win.
00:25:55.000 You're like the person who prepared an Oscars acceptance speech, and you're like, what?
00:25:58.000 Meryl Streep won?
00:25:58.000 How did that happen?
00:26:00.000 Grace!
00:26:00.000 Exactly.
00:26:01.000 Grace!
00:26:02.000 Go ahead.
00:26:06.000 It's my favorite scene.
00:26:07.000 And then we're over there and I'm like, oh my gosh, this is actually happening.
00:26:10.000 I can't believe this.
00:26:11.000 And the best part, and I'm sorry, I know this makes me a bad person to some degree, is when they showed people at her campaign celebration headquarters, whatever, crying.
00:26:19.000 I'm like, yes!
00:26:22.000 I'm so sorry, but this has sucked for the last eight years.
00:26:25.000 No apologies.
00:26:26.000 No apologies.
00:26:26.000 By the way, you're eating the mic a little bit there, quarter black guy.
00:26:28.000 But yes, not only that, he came in really close.
00:26:31.000 I was like, what the hell?
00:26:33.000 He's like LeVar Burton, he's got the visor on.
00:26:35.000 Where's my microphone?
00:26:38.000 As he says, no apologies.
00:26:40.000 No apologies.
00:26:41.000 Like, what are you doing?
00:26:43.000 Still no apologies.
00:26:45.000 You're not that bold.
00:26:47.000 The worst part I held a grudge against you back then, we were talking about strength and strength of character, we've been talking about that quite a bit.
00:26:51.000 Trotted someone else out for the concession speech, remember?
00:26:54.000 Didn't even show up.
00:26:56.000 She's like, how did this happen?
00:26:57.000 Again?
00:26:58.000 I know.
00:26:58.000 Well, she was passed out because she was like, just, just take the pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan, pan.
00:27:05.000 She was just backstage in her cot.
00:27:08.000 I think she's that crazy.
00:27:10.000 So it comes down to why were all the polls wrong?
00:27:12.000 And then we'll get into what they're doing with these polls now because the blue wave isn't going to be as big of a blue wave as they thought.
00:27:17.000 I hate that they have to get, I hate micro, this is actually that we were thinking of doing a live election stream.
00:27:22.000 We might, let me know if you want us to do it.
00:27:24.000 It's just going to be so boring.
00:27:25.000 Like national elections are interesting because of the cultural ramifications, but like Ted Cruz is going to absolutely just murk Beto O'Rourke.
00:27:32.000 It's not even going to be close.
00:27:32.000 I really hope.
00:27:33.000 So outside of that, there isn't really a whole lot that interests me.
00:27:36.000 How did they get it wrong?
00:27:37.000 Again, They were right about general opinions, these polls.
00:27:40.000 It's hard to predict who actually votes on election day.
00:27:42.000 The likely voters thing.
00:27:43.000 Romney, actually, I think they had him winning, or it was really close up until election day.
00:27:47.000 But fewer people, the cavalry didn't come over the hill for Romney, less so than even McCain, if you can believe it.
00:27:53.000 Well, it's because Romney shut it down in the second debate after he killed Obama in the first one.
00:27:57.000 He didn't energize his base after that.
00:27:59.000 No!
00:28:00.000 He was the only one who went after Obama in the first debate.
00:28:03.000 Destroyed him in the first one.
00:28:04.000 He just stepped back because he wanted to play a nice guy.
00:28:07.000 And then you have people like Bernie or Trump who can energize a voting base, like we said, who typically wouldn't vote.
00:28:12.000 And that's true.
00:28:12.000 I don't know if it culturally as a black person if you have most of your family members and friends voted
00:28:16.000 Oh, yeah, my mother well most black women black women Oh good, it's kind of like going to church like they'll be
00:28:22.000 the ones like you better do it and everybody else like So it's kind of emblematic it's like the women are like hey
00:28:32.000 Let's do this is the right thing and then when it comes time to actually do it the black man out there. Oh
00:28:35.000 What the oh?
00:28:38.000 It's not as bad as your voice.
00:28:38.000 Oh, come on.
00:28:40.000 I was just about to be proud of you for using the word merc.
00:28:43.000 I was like, oh, he used it.
00:28:44.000 Like, it's like you have black friends.
00:28:46.000 I was proud of you.
00:28:46.000 That's a gaming term, I thought.
00:28:48.000 It came from gaming merc.
00:28:49.000 Is that a black term?
00:28:50.000 Yes, it's a black term.
00:28:51.000 Why?
00:28:52.000 How so?
00:28:52.000 To merc someone?
00:28:53.000 Like to murder out something?
00:28:55.000 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:28:56.000 That's a gaming term.
00:28:57.000 No, it's a hip hop thing.
00:28:58.000 No, no, no.
00:28:58.000 We stole it.
00:28:59.000 We appropriated it.
00:29:00.000 So this is what I was talking about.
00:29:00.000 Sorry.
00:29:00.000 All right.
00:29:01.000 Like, for example, black people often don't vote.
00:29:03.000 They came out and they voted quite a bit for Barack Obama.
00:29:05.000 Yeah.
00:29:06.000 Young people typically lean very left.
00:29:07.000 It's a lock.
00:29:08.000 Generation Z, like I've talked about, you can search on this channel, not so much.
00:29:12.000 They're still more liberal, but you can count on them getting very conservative as they get older, because they're more conservative at this point in their life than even Gen Xers, or certainly millennials.
00:29:22.000 But they just don't vote.
00:29:23.000 We have a source, I think, here from Vox.
00:29:24.000 So the question is, how do you get them to turn out young people specifically, right?
00:29:27.000 This is what happens from the left.
00:29:28.000 They're kind of, remember that?
00:29:29.000 Remember, actually, it was P. Diddy.
00:29:31.000 Was he P. Diddy, or was he Puff Daddy at that point?
00:29:33.000 I don't know if he did.
00:29:33.000 No, he was Diddy.
00:29:34.000 Is he Diddy?
00:29:34.000 He was Diddy.
00:29:35.000 Is he Diddy now?
00:29:36.000 He's Brother Love now.
00:29:37.000 Really?
00:29:38.000 No, I swear.
00:29:39.000 Are you screwing with me?
00:29:40.000 No, I'm serious.
00:29:41.000 He's Brother Love now.
00:29:41.000 When did this happen?
00:29:43.000 Like a year ago.
00:29:44.000 Yeah, about a year, year and a half, something like that.
00:29:46.000 Isn't that from The Nutty Professor?
00:29:48.000 That's Buddy Love.
00:29:49.000 That's Buddy Love, but thanks for playing.
00:29:52.000 You know what though?
00:29:53.000 I bet you he probably sat... He was watching The Nutty Professor.
00:29:57.000 He was like, man, I wish I had a name like Buddy Love.
00:30:01.000 I actually know it.
00:30:02.000 I know.
00:30:03.000 Brother Love.
00:30:05.000 Did you see the story that made him do it?
00:30:07.000 Did he shoot someone in a nightclub?
00:30:09.000 It's worse, actually.
00:30:10.000 He went to his kid plays football for UCLA, and the coach was yelling at his kid too much, so he took a cowbell and smacked the coach inside the head.
00:30:21.000 And he was getting charged, and all these things came out, and he was like, call me brother love.
00:30:21.000 Really?
00:30:25.000 I'm actually peace, love, and happiness.
00:30:26.000 Oh, is that kind of like Metta World Peace, where he wants to punch out fans?
00:30:29.000 He just wanted some more cowbell.
00:30:32.000 I don't think he was that clever.
00:30:33.000 I think he was like, I'm just gonna grab any bill I possibly can and hit him and didn't change my name.
00:30:38.000 That's a great skit.
00:30:38.000 Look, I changed it on my license.
00:30:40.000 Can't get me.
00:30:40.000 See?
00:30:41.000 They're like, no, he still can.
00:30:43.000 I don't think that's how it works.
00:30:45.000 So they're trying to get the youth vote.
00:30:46.000 P. Diddy did the Rock the Vote campaign and Cameron Diaz.
00:30:48.000 I remember back then it was, I think it was George Bush versus John Kerry and Cameron Diaz was on Oprah and she said, if you don't vote guys, it's like saying you want rape to be legal.
00:30:55.000 Even Oprah was like...
00:30:59.000 I don't know what's going to happen here.
00:31:00.000 I'm going to start my own network.
00:31:01.000 If it's going to fail, then hire Tyler Perry.
00:31:03.000 Enter beta or work.
00:31:04.000 They're pulling out every single stop in the book right now to try and get young people to vote.
00:31:10.000 Like literally putting him on a skateboard, kids!
00:31:13.000 I wish he would fall off right there.
00:31:17.000 Bam!
00:31:18.000 I'm going to kickflip my way into office!
00:31:21.000 But you don't have to take my word for it.
00:31:22.000 Where's the mic?
00:31:23.000 Oh, I don't know.
00:31:26.000 Here's one that's really, really shame.
00:31:28.000 Beto's... Have you seen this?
00:31:30.000 Again, they're trying to make it really cool.
00:31:31.000 The YMCA dance.
00:31:33.000 Uh-oh, here we go.
00:31:36.000 Filming.
00:31:40.000 This is the thing like, that's like Hillary Clinton with hot sauce.
00:31:43.000 The pandering doesn't even work.
00:31:45.000 Like, what are kids like?
00:31:47.000 I know, a washed up gay cover band in the village people.
00:31:52.000 That's what they like.
00:31:53.000 They don't listen to you.
00:31:54.000 Hey, I don't know, should it be something like, should it be something like Drake or something?
00:31:57.000 Nah, I'm pretty sure we're gonna go with the village people.
00:31:59.000 Hey, what's the deal with that gay S&M Folsom street village person?
00:32:02.000 That one doesn't really make sense.
00:32:03.000 That's for us more so.
00:32:05.000 That's for after party.
00:32:09.000 There was not even one person accidentally on beat.
00:32:13.000 Like, that's the most mayonnaise video I've ever seen in my life.
00:32:16.000 Oh, really?
00:32:17.000 Really?
00:32:17.000 No?
00:32:18.000 You think so?
00:32:18.000 Is that what you think so?
00:32:19.000 All right.
00:32:19.000 Hold your tongue, sir, because let's go to the next clip.
00:32:23.000 Hey, Jamie.
00:32:25.000 Is that Ben?
00:32:26.000 Yard?
00:32:27.000 Uh-huh.
00:32:29.000 It must be great volunteering at his phone bank.
00:32:33.000 Is he ahead of Ted Cruz yet?
00:32:35.000 Uh-uh.
00:32:36.000 Once you go better, you're never going back.
00:32:43.000 Oh.
00:32:46.000 Can we get them internships at Google?
00:32:48.000 Um.
00:32:49.000 This is like killing me.
00:32:51.000 Is that not worse than the earlier clip?
00:32:53.000 I was so glad that you said it.
00:32:55.000 Wait, that's not real.
00:32:56.000 That's real.
00:32:59.000 You are just out of touch with the youth.
00:33:00.000 Don't be fooled because black don't crack.
00:33:02.000 This man is not, he's not young enough to know what the kids are into.
00:33:05.000 They're into this.
00:33:06.000 Wait, that was, that's not real.
00:33:08.000 Ted Cruz bought that.
00:33:10.000 That was brilliant on his part, but Ted Cruz is hiring all of his campaigners.
00:33:15.000 All right, now it's very important.
00:33:17.000 It's very important that she misses the high note.
00:33:21.000 And I want this to appear to, I want it to take place in a subdivision with no trees, so it's very clear that they had no budget.
00:33:27.000 Not ironically, but truthfully.
00:33:29.000 And all white people.
00:33:30.000 I really think, I'm really, like, I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I think Ted Cruz's campaign has been texting my phone under Beato's name, and doing, like, and shooting all of these commercials, like, all of this is, because nobody would do that to themselves.
00:33:43.000 Uh, well, they wouldn't.
00:33:44.000 They think it's gonna work.
00:33:45.000 Because here, look, elections, unfortunately, have become a beauty contest in the United States, right?
00:33:49.000 Instead of looking at the skills that somebody has or their abilities... Come on, you're so... No, I'm pissed off at that!
00:33:55.000 What beauty contest is Donald Trump winning?
00:33:57.000 He's judging them through a one-way mirror.
00:34:01.000 It's not a chewing gum.
00:34:02.000 I think that's a born club, okay?
00:34:04.000 No!
00:34:04.000 That was Miss America.
00:34:07.000 I don't think they're a beauty contest.
00:34:09.000 I think they are a beauty contest.
00:34:11.000 Let me just say it this way.
00:34:12.000 Donald Trump rallied a base of people that was mad.
00:34:15.000 15 years ago, 20 years ago, Donald Trump stood no chance.
00:34:17.000 You had to rile up an entire base of people first for that to happen.
00:34:20.000 Barack Obama did the exact same thing.
00:34:23.000 Basically went out and said what everybody wanted to hear.
00:34:25.000 I'm going to heal the nation.
00:34:26.000 I'm going to take us in the right direction.
00:34:27.000 didn't have the ability to do any of it and screwed it up.
00:34:30.000 We are not looking for the best qualified candidate. We're looking for somebody that makes
00:34:33.000 us feel good. And that sucks because politicians will always make you feel good. They're always
00:34:37.000 going to say what you want to hear.
00:34:38.000 I think that's true to a large degree, but not entirely.
00:34:41.000 Wait, you don't, you don't feel better after the village people in Greece?
00:34:44.000 No, no, here's why. I'm going to make a prediction right now. Stephen, you're right. Beto's going to
00:34:50.000 lose. And right after that, they're going to try to get him to run for 2020. Not only is he going
00:34:55.000 to lose this race and suck at it royally. And I can guarantee you won't win in 2020.
00:34:59.000 You know why?
00:35:00.000 Because I'm going to interview him as a tranny.
00:35:02.000 Like Wendy Davis.
00:35:03.000 Yes, you have to!
00:35:04.000 But that's exactly what they're going to do.
00:35:06.000 They're like, this guy's got it.
00:35:07.000 We watched your video in the suburb.
00:35:09.000 It was great.
00:35:09.000 By the way, for people who haven't seen the Women's March video where Stephanie interviewed Wendy Davis, I never expected that to happen.
00:35:14.000 Oh, it was awesome.
00:35:15.000 We just go ask Wendy Davis if she'll give an interview.
00:35:16.000 And then they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:35:18.000 And I'm like, really?
00:35:20.000 And then my wig blows off with the wind.
00:35:22.000 Mid-interview.
00:35:23.000 And I'm like, oh my gosh, this is so embarrassing.
00:35:24.000 She's like, it's totally fine.
00:35:26.000 It's totally fine.
00:35:27.000 Oh my gosh, you are never going to make it in our office again!
00:35:30.000 This is wonderful.
00:35:30.000 I'm glad she went away.
00:35:31.000 And by the way, I'm very familiar with the pandering, not just for the youth vote, but as we know from my... Here's the thing, I hate to just bash Canada.
00:35:41.000 I wish I were more proud of Canada than I am.
00:35:44.000 But you want to talk about pandering?
00:35:45.000 It's a niche vote, but it's an important vote.
00:35:47.000 The Indian vote.
00:35:48.000 vote. Let's look at the prime minister of my former home country.
00:35:55.000 It's like... I mean you thought a black... you thought a white guy trying to do a black dance is embarrassing?
00:36:03.000 He somehow made it even whiter to do the Indian dance.
00:36:11.000 The bar's pretty low though, come on.
00:36:13.000 Watching that made me want to put on a diaper and go on a starvation diet.
00:36:16.000 We gotta get white people out of Indian culture again.
00:36:19.000 You don't need a diaper if you're on a starvation diet.
00:36:22.000 Tell that to Gandhi.
00:36:25.000 I don't think Gandhi thought ahead.
00:36:26.000 Really.
00:36:26.000 I just think Gandhi had a lot of followers.
00:36:28.000 It was unwarranted.
00:36:30.000 He would have worn a vest if he thought ahead.
00:36:37.000 Alright, so here's the point.
00:36:38.000 We have to get to Daniel Kermey.
00:36:39.000 Polls are often wrong.
00:36:41.000 More importantly, they're not the end-all, they're not the be-all.
00:36:44.000 They're seeing this big blue wave.
00:36:46.000 Here's the thing.
00:36:47.000 It could be true, but it's certainly what the media wants you to think.
00:36:50.000 They could have believed beforehand that Donald Trump was going to win What was it, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania?
00:36:57.000 Pennsylvania, all of them.
00:36:58.000 I actually said, I think he wins Pennsylvania and Ohio, I remember, and I was like, I think there's no way he wins Michigan.
00:37:03.000 And that's just because in Michigan, yeah, I knew too many people in Michigan, but the truth is he appealed to a lot of the union voters who probably might want to support Trump this next go-around.
00:37:12.000 So, I said, no Michigan, but I think he wins Pennsylvania and Ohio if you go back and look at it.
00:37:16.000 They said, there's no way he wins Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania.
00:37:20.000 They said he doesn't win anything in the Midwest.
00:37:22.000 So, they could have actually thought that, but we know for certain that it is what they wanted.
00:37:28.000 And it's what they wanted you to believe.
00:37:29.000 And it's what they wanted everyone in Michigan to believe.
00:37:31.000 And in Pennsylvania to believe.
00:37:32.000 And right now, they may believe that there's this big blue wave coming, or they may not.
00:37:37.000 What we do know is that they want you to believe it to stay home and not vote.
00:37:42.000 And that's why you see the desperate pandering for votes.
00:37:44.000 And by the way, here's one thing too in a very unpopular position that I hold.
00:37:47.000 Tweet me if you disagree.
00:37:48.000 I really don't care.
00:37:49.000 I hate get-out-to-vote campaigns.
00:37:51.000 I hate them!
00:37:52.000 I can't stand them.
00:37:54.000 If Kanye West is at home and someone makes it through the gates and says, excuse me, sir, have you thought about voting this election?
00:37:59.000 Now you see I'm Jesus.
00:38:01.000 They're like, well, have you looked at the issues?
00:38:02.000 I'm gonna vote now because you rang my doorbell.
00:38:04.000 If that's what, if that's the struggle, I don't want you voting.
00:38:06.000 Stay home.
00:38:07.000 People who are uninformed to vote.
00:38:09.000 I don't understand.
00:38:10.000 There's nothing virtuous in voting.
00:38:14.000 Voting is not the end all be all itself.
00:38:17.000 It's a means to an end.
00:38:18.000 And the left just wants any person they can load up onto a bus and give a free sandwich to vote to vote.
00:38:24.000 I don't want you voting.
00:38:25.000 People who do not understand the Constitution, you probably shouldn't vote.
00:38:29.000 People who do not.
00:38:29.000 It'd be like playing fantasy football and you have no eye.
00:38:32.000 It'd be like me playing fantasy football.
00:38:36.000 I don't play it because I know I'd lose.
00:38:38.000 Sure, I might roll the dice and get it right, but that's not how you're supposed to play it with a constitutional republic, regardless of what Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper, Kanye West, or Drake, the butter-soft bitch from Toronto who I don't even think can legally vote.
00:38:52.000 but tries to act like he's from Memphis, tells you if you don't keep yourself abreast
00:38:58.000 of all the issues, if you're not informed, stay home, don't vote.

00:50:35.000 Like, oh, stop being paranoid.
00:50:37.000 How do you balance, okay, this is a healthy fear versus maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion?
00:50:43.000 I think safer is better.
00:50:45.000 Like, that's just kind of my idea.
00:50:47.000 Like, I'd rather err on the side of safety than take a chance at risking it.
00:50:53.000 And then ultimately it costs you something that's so terrible that you really can't bounce back from.
00:51:00.000 Right.
00:51:00.000 You know, when you, when you say you missed the Tom Jones concert, well, you missed the concert, but at the end of the day, you still have your wife and you guys didn't run into any issues.
00:51:11.000 And those are the things that really matter, man.
00:51:13.000 It's like, you just can't, it's like you just, when you live in the public eye, especially as you are, right?
00:51:19.000 Because you're very, uh, vocal about your beliefs.
00:51:23.000 Whereas I just kind of stayed, stayed to stay clear.
00:51:25.000 You're vocal.
00:51:25.000 Right.
00:51:26.000 So, I mean, there are going to be a certain, there will be certain people that truly even want to hurt you or people that truly support you.
00:51:34.000 And sometimes your supporters are very dangerous because they kind of crowd you.
00:51:39.000 Have you ever been hurt by fans?
00:51:41.000 I actually had a finger jammed really badly once by a guy.
00:51:43.000 I reached out and it jammed my ring finger like hard.

00:51:50.000 You'll be walking somewhere and people will grab you and they'll grab you.
00:51:53.000 And I mean, it's just scary, especially my kids.
00:51:56.000 They're on TV a lot.
00:51:57.000 And even the other day, we're in New York City and my wife is walking down the street with my children, holding them each on one side, took them to Dave and Buster's.
00:52:05.000 And she said, as she's walking down the street, a guy starts walking towards him, gets down on his knees and starts to open his arms like he's going to hug my son.
00:52:13.000 And I always make fun of my wife about Uh, when I'm at home, I kind of hide in crevices, and she walks out and I just go, wah!
00:52:20.000 And it scares her, and she freezes every single time.
00:52:23.000 And I say, well, what happens if you're in public and somebody does that?

00:52:29.000 She goes, did you laugh?
00:52:31.000 I said, yes.
00:52:31.000 Because when the guy went down to hug my son... It wasn't the gym manager, right?

00:53:18.000 For example, we did this big show at U of M, you know, and thousands of people showed up, and there was this after-party afterward, and there was a guy from Michigan State sitting down who just started really trying to start a fight.
00:53:30.000 To be fair, my friend was Liberace for Halloween, Owen Benjamin.
00:53:34.000 He's a pianist, Six foot seven, two eight.
00:53:36.000 He's a giant, so he stands out.
00:53:37.000 He's got a big pink rhinestone cape.
00:53:39.000 And I'm in assless chaps and short shorts.
00:53:42.000 And he's like, so what, you like an effing gay cowboy?
00:53:44.000 I said, yeah, man, I guess so.
00:53:46.000 And he kept trying to go on for a fight.
00:53:49.000 And I have to say, he was an African-American gentleman.
00:53:52.000 And obviously, people right now with their attentions, I was like, I don't want to get into a fight with this guy because of the liability.
00:53:59.000 Now, that being said, if this guy were shoving someone like my wife, because he did get a little bit pushy physically, I think I'd probably go berserk.
00:54:06.000 And it's probably- Well, you would have to.
00:54:07.000 Like, your wife maybe freezes when it's her, but with her children, that mama bear thing kicks in.
00:54:13.000 It kicks in.
00:54:14.000 And I'm happy it did, you know?
00:54:16.000 And she told my son, even, don't let anybody hug you.
00:54:21.000 Like, you don't have to take pictures if you don't want to.
00:54:25.000 You don't have to let anyone hug you, you know, just because that's not that's not part of the deal, you know, they're just.

00:55:52.000 I mean, I just don't want to be that guy that goes out on his back, man.

00:56:37.000 I just wish my memories of Chuck would stay him in the octagon, just going crazy.
00:56:43.000 Or Tito Ortiz doing the gravedigger thing, you know?
00:56:45.000 But it's like they're fighting each other and one of them has to lose.
00:56:49.000 Right.
00:56:49.000 And that will be something that will be stuck in your mind.

00:57:32.000 You were really tense at one point in your career.
00:57:34.000 I think kind of in that period where you've talked about how you really felt you had something to prove, and you really didn't like John Jones, then you couldn't get back at him because of all the drug controversies.
00:57:42.000 We seem to see a relaxed, really happy Daniel Cormier.
00:57:45.000 I know you're generally seen as an affable guy, but to me it's noticeable.
00:57:50.000 Let me ask you, is there some kind of a A corner you've turned, or is it just because you keep winning?

00:58:05.000 And also, Steve, me not having to cut all the weight.

00:58:44.000 And also, just really, Being content with everything that I've accomplished in this sport.
00:58:49.000 I mean, win or lose this weekend, which I won't, you can't take away what happened in July, right?
00:58:55.000 Those images of me with two belts will always remain the same.
00:58:59.000 And I think there's a comfort in that.
00:59:01.000 There's a comfort in the accomplishment.
00:59:03.000 And I know that even though I'm comfortable in the accomplishment, I'm not ready to let it go.
00:59:11.000 But I am who I am, and that'll never change.
00:59:13.000 People can't take anything away from me anymore.
00:59:15.000 Well, I'm really glad to hear that, and I'm sad to hear that you're hanging them up.
00:59:19.000 Just make sure two things, promise me two things.
00:59:21.000 You're not just going to gain a ton of weight and be a walking coronary like a lot of previous O-line men in football, that, you know, you're going to stay healthy.
00:59:27.000 And don't get in a propeller plane.

00:59:34.000 Those are two things you don't have to worry about.
00:59:39.000 I gotta be careful with eating too much.
00:59:41.000 That's one thing I gotta be careful with, but I gotta be on TV for the rest of my life, so I gotta maintain at least some sort of You know, this beauty that I have on my face.
00:59:50.000 Look at that.
00:59:50.000 I even got my teeth fixed, Steve.
00:59:52.000 Look at that.
00:59:52.000 Now, did you wait?
00:59:53.000 Because, you know, hockey players don't get their teeth fixed because we talk about crazy fighting.
00:59:57.000 As hockey players back in the day, enforcers would have 40 fights in a season.
01:00:01.000 They have to get right back on the ice.
01:00:02.000 So they just never fixed their teeth until the end of their careers.
01:00:04.000 Was that a conscious decision for you?
01:00:07.000 Yeah, it was time.
01:00:08.000 You know, I started to do more things like your show and more like more national things outside of mixed martial arts.
01:00:14.000 And there was an idea or a way you need to present yourself when you're doing
01:00:18.000 that.

01:00:20.000 I could have done it a long time ago.

01:00:28.000 I put it off, put it off, put it off, because if this thing gets knocked out Saturday,

01:02:14.000 Fights are always Saturday, unless, I think sometimes if they're in different countries' time zones.
01:02:17.000 Let's not get technical.
01:02:18.000 It's November 3rd, UFC 230.
01:02:20.000 We had Basri on the show the other day, and I was talking about his serious neck injury that he had had at one point.
01:02:24.000 I don't know how familiar you are with it, but for him it was a real struggle to start even moving five pounds.
01:02:30.000 And now he's back to basically full ability.
01:02:33.000 We talk a lot on this show about strength, and there's this idea, I think, this false idea of machismo, and it's often associated with fighters.
01:02:41.000 And I use Boss Rutan as an example because, for him, he was weak as a kitten with one arm after the neck injury.
01:02:47.000 But he was strong because he said, okay, I'm going to get past, I'm going to push past this, and eventually he got back to where he was, whereas a lot of people just don't push past that discomfort.
01:02:55.000 To Daniel Cormier, best fighter on the face of the planet right now, before you leave, How do you define strength?
01:03:02.000 What do you think matters most, particularly for a lot of young men listening?
01:03:05.000 I like the mental, you know?
01:03:07.000 Honestly, man.
01:03:08.000 And I think, and this might be like, oh, we don't want to hear this about fight promotion.
01:03:14.000 But I think strength to me, honestly, is defined by a guy like Derrick Lewis, you know?
01:03:21.000 When Derrick Lewis was a teen, he left Louisiana down to Texas.
01:03:25.000 And got in a ton of trouble, ended up in prison.
01:03:27.000 Now you know that when you go to prison, there are guys in there every night saying what they're gonna do when they get out, and how they're gonna be better when they get out, and they'll never go back, and I'm gonna make a life for my family, and they write these notes, and they do all these things as to how life is going to improve.
01:03:45.000 But then they end up back in prison.
01:03:46.000 Recidivism rate is through the roof.
01:03:50.000 Derrick Lewis never went back.
01:03:52.000 Derrick Lewis became a millionaire.
01:03:55.000 Derek Lewis is fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world.
01:03:58.000 That's why when people say, how do you knock that guy out with 10 seconds?
01:04:01.000 I'm like, 10 seconds?
01:04:03.000 That doesn't surprise me because this man fought from the pits of hell to build himself back up to this point.
01:04:09.000 To me, that's strength, right?
01:04:10.000 When you are dealt with unbelievable adversity, and in the face of that adversity, you don't crumble.
01:04:17.000 You try to build back.
01:04:19.000 When I lost my daughter and life tried to knock me down and put me out for the count, I tried to rebuild myself.
01:04:27.000 When a person goes through these terrible tragedies that are going on today, the families of these people that are dying in these mass shootings are dying.
01:04:38.000 When someone decides to drive their car into a crowd of people, these families that Scrape themselves off the ground and rebuild that strength.
01:04:49.000 Yeah.
01:04:49.000 When you're dealt unbelievable adversity and you come through it and become better for it.
01:04:56.000 That is what defines strength to me.
01:04:57.000 It's not about lifting something up.
01:04:59.000 It's not about, uh, when everything's going good, you're, you're a champion and everything.
01:05:04.000 It's about when stuff gets bad.
01:05:08.000 How do you change it?
01:05:09.000 That's why, that's what I feel strength is.
01:05:12.000 And that's why I respect the guy that I'm fighting on Saturday.
01:05:14.000 Well, I think that's a very gracious answer.
01:05:16.000 I think it's very accurate of the black piece.
01:05:18.000 But I would add one to it, because I'll give you a pat on the back.
01:05:20.000 I also think equally as important is when someone does have great power.
01:05:24.000 It doesn't mean there isn't adversity.
01:05:25.000 But when someone has made it through the adversity, how they wield it, what they do with it,
01:05:29.000 you've been a class act as a champion, and that means a lot as well.

01:07:08.000 And you get seven days free, you get to give it a whirl, especially in the time of YouTube, and especially when we, you know, like going out to U of M was an incredibly costly endeavor that took a lot of time and man hours.
01:07:17.000 We wouldn't be able to do it if not for MugClub members.
01:07:19.000 Really, I can't thank you enough.
01:07:21.000 And if you're looking to purchase a firearm as well, the only other main sponsor we have on the show, we don't sell you things every single different commercial break, Walther Firearms.
01:07:28.000 Here's the deal.
01:07:30.000 Google review right now, Walther PPQ.
01:07:31.000 That's my favorite gun, period.
01:07:33.000 Just Google Walther PPQ review.
01:07:34.000 You will not find it.
01:07:35.000 You'll have to go to page 10 of Google to see anything other than glowing reviews.
01:07:40.000 And there are a lot of good guns.
01:07:42.000 Glocks are great.
01:07:43.000 There are plenty of Glocks.
01:07:44.000 You can go with a H&K.
01:07:46.000 You could go with a Smith & Wesson.
01:07:48.000 You could go with a Sig.
01:07:49.000 At that point, it's like Mercedes or BMW.
01:07:51.000 That being said...
01:07:52.000 I've never heard anyone who's actually tried the Walther and decided to go with another firearm.
01:07:56.000 So all we ask is try it.
01:07:58.000 They have the balls to sponsor the show.
01:07:59.000 And of course, loudofcredit.com keeps the lights on.
01:08:03.000 Onward with the show.
01:08:04.000 Go, go.
01:08:05.000 hopper stop that licking.
01:08:08.000 so so
01:08:47.000 That was a variation on an older version that I'd done of that.
01:08:50.000 That was a Greg, that was a Louganis drowning dance.
01:08:54.000 Hit my head in the back of the diving board, put AIDS all over the Olympic pool.
01:08:57.000 You okay?
01:08:58.000 Yeah, a little, I hit it there.
01:08:59.000 You know that story?
01:09:00.000 Greg Louganis.
01:09:01.000 You don't know that story?
01:09:03.000 He hit his head in the back board, blood all over the pool, turns out I think he had HIV.
01:09:03.000 Diver?
01:09:03.000 Famous diver?
01:09:08.000 Yeah, that's one way to transmit.
01:09:10.000 I think there was a made-for-TV film, and I think it was Mario Lopez who played him.
01:09:14.000 Couldn't even get Louis Diamond Phillips.
01:09:16.000 Poor guy.
01:09:17.000 That's the worst way to go.
01:09:19.000 That really is terrible.
01:09:20.000 Couldn't we get, like, John Leguizamo or something?
01:09:22.000 I don't know why I'm doing the Steven Seagal voice.
01:09:24.000 Owen Benjamin and I, before we left for U of M, were just watching Steven Seagal films.
01:09:28.000 And one thing, he never gets hit.
01:09:31.000 And I was doing research after, and I was like, how does this happen?
01:09:33.000 And he's like, there's an actual quote.
01:09:36.000 My audience would never believe such a monumental occasion.
01:09:40.000 I'm awesome!
01:09:42.000 He really believes his own hype.
01:09:43.000 So he wrote it into the scripts?
01:09:46.000 No punches?
01:09:46.000 By the way, thank you to Daniel Cormier.
01:09:49.000 I was this close to asking you, Daniel, who would win in a fight, you or Steven Seagal, just because I wanted to piss him off and see if we could get him to storm off the show.
01:09:56.000 He's so nice, though, Daniel Cormier.
01:09:57.000 He's super nice.
01:09:58.000 He's a super nice dude.
01:09:59.000 And I'm really sad it's going to be his last fight, and a really good guy.
01:10:01.000 And you know what?
01:10:03.000 I think his worldviews might surprise you.
01:10:06.000 Just a really good guy.
01:10:08.000 He's a hard worker, he's a family man, and he's a good guy.
01:10:11.000 What was I talking about?
01:10:12.000 Steven Seagal.
01:10:12.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:10:13.000 No, there was a film.
01:10:14.000 I don't know the name of the film.
01:10:15.000 I would love it if people just let me know.
01:10:16.000 Send in your tweets.
01:10:18.000 And also, by the way, your questions, lifeadvice at ladderwithcrowder.com.
01:10:21.000 We're doing a segment next week, and a Devil's Advocate next week with Stephan Molyneux.
01:10:25.000 He... John Leguizamo... I don't know the film with Steven Seagal and John Leguizamo, but apparently he was supposed to die.
01:10:30.000 They were supposed to shoot it at 6 a.m.
01:10:32.000 and they only shot it at 8 p.m.
01:10:35.000 that day because he just refused to die.
01:10:37.000 He was like, my... my... my viewers would never accept this.
01:10:41.000 It is highly unrealistic.
01:10:42.000 All right, hold on a second.
01:10:43.000 I gotta drink some water.
01:10:44.000 Say something, Quarterblack.
01:10:45.000 I don't know something.
01:10:47.000 What's up, bros?
01:10:49.000 You really need to get out of that rhythm.
01:10:51.000 Okay, so let me take off the clown mask now.
01:10:55.000 It's been, I'm not gonna lie to you, it's been a tough spell.
01:10:58.000 It's been a tough spell for a while for me, and I'm incredibly appreciative.
01:11:02.000 When we do these live shows, so U of M is an example, it was really, really hard.
01:11:06.000 Required getting a lot of people out there.
01:11:08.000 It's a 17-hour drive.
01:11:10.000 Most of us flew one way, drove the other way to try and kind of pass it off.
01:11:14.000 And, you know, some things could have gone better that we had issued.
01:11:18.000 We've talked about it.
01:11:18.000 If you remember Mug Club with the union members at U of M who didn't let us get in when we were supposed to get in so that we're aligning everything.
01:11:23.000 It takes a crew of 12 people.
01:11:25.000 It was very hard and very draining physically.
01:11:27.000 And listen, not cancer, nothing like that, but I'm not a guy who likes to necessarily get into...
01:11:32.000 Yeah, my health isn't—it's not in the best of sorts right now.
01:11:35.000 These are things that can be corrected, but serious enough to warrant—you know, I've taken really a couple—two sick days in the history of this company.
01:11:44.000 A lot of the time when people see we're not doing it, they don't realize that we're actually rebuilding something or we're actually pre-taping something, like a change of my mind.
01:11:51.000 We just can't do a show the day we do a change of my mind or doing U of M. That was days and days of prep and getting out, several days of travel.
01:11:58.000 There might be some more, and you know what?
01:12:00.000 Let me know who you would like to see as a fill-in host.
01:12:03.000 Not right now, but probably around Christmas break.
01:12:05.000 And one thing I will say, though, doing these live shows, which can be really exhausting, and they really can, the reaction, the interactions with the fans, the people, are really incredible.
01:12:18.000 The people who support the show, Mug Club members, I mean, it was crazy to me, it was at least 60, 70% of people at that theater, and by the way, thousands of people were Mug Club members.
01:12:27.000 Oh yeah, there was a lot.
01:12:28.000 So that's not even just non-MUG Club members, because the MUG Club members get there hours
01:12:31.000 in advance.
01:12:32.000 So that's always nice.
01:12:33.000 It really is a team of people.
01:12:35.000 We really do feel like it's familial and we're overwhelmed by the support.
01:12:38.000 But I also do notice an ongoing theme, and you've probably seen this in the Q&A, particularly
01:12:42.000 with the upcoming election.
01:12:43.000 Fear.
01:12:44.000 A theme of people being afraid.
01:12:47.000 And a lot of different people, they find different ways to get over them.
01:12:49.000 A lot of people find that this show helps them.
01:12:52.000 I had some people say, listen, man, I just, I am so tired of news and politics.
01:12:56.000 This was a veteran who talked about how he had been suicidal.
01:12:59.000 I actually have a Navy cross there.
01:13:01.000 We haven't figured the perfect place to put it yet, so it's just safe.
01:13:03.000 So thank you, sir, again for sending it.
01:13:05.000 But we're going to put it right next to the, it would be fitting the Ultimate Warriors action figure that Mike Ward gave us.
01:13:10.000 That next to a Navy cross.
01:13:12.000 That crystallizes this show.
01:13:15.000 Some people say this show helps them.
01:13:17.000 It's really important, though.
01:13:19.000 This isn't obviously the only one.
01:13:20.000 Therapy is probably better than this show, because everyone on the show needs therapy.
01:13:23.000 It's important that you understand the difference between being afraid—and I don't always get the chance to answer people this way—and being afraid of something and being fearful.
01:13:34.000 There are two different things.
01:13:36.000 And on this last segment of the week, you know, it often ends up, I think it ended up being branded Crowder Closes because people were uploading it anyway.
01:13:41.000 Like, I want those dollar-dollar bills.
01:13:44.000 So I try to be vulnerable.
01:13:45.000 I try to be earnest.
01:13:47.000 Because I don't think lies help.
01:13:49.000 I don't think being completely disingenuous helps.
01:13:54.000 I don't think false ego helps.
01:13:57.000 Because I know a lot of you out there might be experiencing some of the same pain and fears that I've gone through or that I'm going through or people even hear sometimes in the studio.
01:14:06.000 So if it helps you, It'd be wrong for me to keep it to myself.
01:14:12.000 And I think a lot of people often go, you know, don't be afraid.
01:14:16.000 Oh, listen, be brave.
01:14:17.000 But they don't really tell you how.
01:14:18.000 And if you have someone, let's say it's, you know, The Rock or someone like Daniel Cormier.
01:14:21.000 That's why I really appreciate the interviews with Daniel Cormier.
01:14:24.000 Because Daniel Cormier is a world-level ass kicker.
01:14:27.000 And on this show, not always, but on this show, he's been very vulnerable about what it is that scares him, about the fact that he's nervous before every fight.
01:14:33.000 Very specific.
01:14:34.000 And I tell you what, for me, that inspired me.
01:14:37.000 I don't know about you, but hearing Daniel Cormier say, I get nervous before every fight, I didn't feel so bad about, you know, throwing up or painting the porcelain before every single live show.
01:14:45.000 Corey Black knows this.
01:14:47.000 I don't enjoy speaking live.
01:14:49.000 I get very, very nervous.
01:14:50.000 But when you get up there, you look really good.
01:14:51.000 Well, thank you.
01:14:52.000 I appreciate the lies.
01:14:54.000 Check's in the mail.
01:14:54.000 It will clear.
01:14:55.000 You needn't say this.
01:14:56.000 It's going to clear anyway.
01:14:58.000 Just like a black belt from Steven Seagal.
01:14:59.000 Your check cleared.
01:15:02.000 So if it does help you the way Daniel Cormier, Brian Scharr, George St.
01:15:05.000 Pierre, Thomas O, we've had a lot of great people here who've actually talked specifically about things that either scare them or difficulties they've overcome, that's been something that's been inspiring to me.
01:15:15.000 And so, I'm just going to be honest with you, there are a lot of things that scare me, but I don't live my life.
01:15:20.000 Let me go through it.
01:15:22.000 And I'd like to hear you guys tell me what it is that most scares you.
01:15:25.000 Going out on a limb here, and I know it'll be used against me eventually, but I also know that there's someone else out there who probably feels like they're alone, might think that they're at the end of their rope, and maybe this will help.
01:15:33.000 So, it's one person that's worth it.
01:15:37.000 I'm afraid of being alone.
01:15:40.000 That's something I'm really afraid of.
01:15:42.000 This idea, you know, people talk about being alone in a crowded room.
01:15:44.000 We often hear it in sound lyrics.
01:15:46.000 That often happens.
01:15:47.000 I can be surrounded by a lot of people and not really know who a friend is or know who necessarily cares about me.
01:15:54.000 And especially when you have so many supporters, and I'm grateful for them, you're always afraid that that goes away.
01:16:01.000 And that there's this sort of dead still of quiet.
01:16:05.000 I've always been very afraid.
01:16:06.000 I'm afraid of being alone.
01:16:08.000 I'm afraid of burning out.
01:16:10.000 It's one of my worst fears.
01:16:11.000 I'm afraid of burning out like after a University of Michigan and again when you have kind of health struggles
01:16:15.000 nothing serious You just it's hard. It's sometimes it's hard
01:16:18.000 I can always get up and do the work that I need to do as far as okay show up hit that mark do
01:16:22.000 The sketch fine write the joke, but when you don't have anything to aim for
01:16:25.000 Sometimes it's really hard just to think up right now. Okay.
01:16:27.000 Where are we gonna do the next change?
01:16:29.000 What's the next super video?
01:16:30.000 Where are we going to go on location?
01:16:31.000 Because so much needs to be planned and it's just like, you know, a lion tamer.
01:16:35.000 It's the different legs of the stool that keeps the lion completely confused.
01:16:38.000 That's the only reason that this person, this circus clown is not getting eaten.
01:16:42.000 I get overwhelmed sometimes.
01:16:43.000 I'm afraid of burning out.
01:16:45.000 I am afraid of not being deserving of this platform.
01:16:49.000 Frankly, I'm afraid of that, something I've always been afraid of.
01:16:52.000 I see the faces, I see people who come up when they tell me their personal stories and
01:16:56.000 how much this program means to them.
01:16:57.000 I really am grateful, but I think I often feel undeserving.
01:17:01.000 I work really hard.
01:17:04.000 I try to be honest with people.
01:17:05.000 I probably work harder than anyone.
01:17:07.000 I know that's kind of a reputation in the industry if you ask other people.
01:17:10.000 I'm a Clydesdale.
01:17:12.000 Not a show horse, clearly.
01:17:13.000 Not an Arabian prancer, dancer, whatever it is.
01:17:16.000 All you equestrians, I don't care.
01:17:17.000 Go do your dressage.
01:17:18.000 But I'm afraid, I often feel undeserving of the platform.
01:17:24.000 I'm afraid of mistakes that I've made which have harmed others and I don't necessarily know what they are.
01:17:28.000 Sometimes when you're in a leadership position, this keeps me up at night.
01:17:31.000 I'm afraid that I've made mistakes that have caused ripple effects and they were mistakes that I could have avoided, especially when you have employees and you're in your mid-twenties.
01:17:40.000 You make mistakes.
01:17:42.000 Mistakes are okay, but I have trouble sleeping sometimes when I think about, oh, I could have done this better.
01:17:47.000 I could have done that better.
01:17:47.000 That's something that bothers me a lot.
01:17:50.000 I'm afraid of the Brazilian wandering spider.
01:17:51.000 That goes without saying.
01:17:54.000 I'm afraid of not knowing when I've done the right thing.
01:17:57.000 That's something that's hard.
01:17:58.000 Afraid of the mistakes and sometimes not knowing if you've made a mistake or done the right thing because sometimes you make a decision that you have to make for someone else in the team or someone else in your life that negatively affects one other person.
01:18:09.000 Sometimes it's just like we don't have that much room in the lifeboats.
01:18:13.000 Sometimes you have to make hard decisions, and sometimes you think you have to make hard decisions, and it's just wrong.
01:18:17.000 I'm afraid of that.
01:18:20.000 I'm afraid of... I'm afraid, frankly, I used to have a bad temper.
01:18:24.000 I'm afraid of it coming back.
01:18:24.000 I'm afraid of Mr. Hyde rearing his ugly bisexual head.
01:18:28.000 That was a short phase.
01:18:30.000 No, I'm afraid.
01:18:32.000 Afraid of getting angry.
01:18:35.000 Afraid of being too emotional.
01:18:36.000 Afraid of being obsessive.
01:18:39.000 Because of that, I'm afraid of alienating friends, family, people who I care about most.
01:18:43.000 That's something I think about a lot.
01:18:44.000 Sometimes a lot of pressure.
01:18:47.000 Sometimes a lot of compression.
01:18:49.000 Comes hyper-volatility emotionally.
01:18:51.000 And I'm afraid of pushing people away.
01:18:52.000 Especially when you have people who you love who either work with you or in close proximity.
01:18:58.000 I'm afraid of... And this is why you might have seen that there was a pause at U of M. I'm afraid of having children.
01:19:10.000 I'm really afraid of having children.
01:19:12.000 I said I don't like kids.
01:19:13.000 That's not true.
01:19:14.000 I like kids.
01:19:15.000 That's a smokescreen.
01:19:16.000 I kind of don't like sticky kids.
01:19:19.000 But I'm afraid of having children.
01:19:21.000 Definitely afraid, because of thrusting them into a life that they didn't choose.
01:19:27.000 I've had a lot of close calls.
01:19:29.000 I've had even just not close calls.
01:19:30.000 I've had very unpleasant encounters.
01:19:31.000 We've had people who just work for this show, who've been spat on.
01:19:35.000 We've had people get violent with them.
01:19:36.000 Even at U of M, we had people trying to start a bar fight for people who weren't even on stage, but they knew worked with the crew.
01:19:42.000 I'm really afraid of having children and bringing them into that.
01:19:47.000 It's always been something that bothers me, and because of that, something else.
01:19:49.000 I'm afraid of the fact that my fear of having children could cause irreparable damage with a wife who I know deserves them.
01:19:59.000 I'm not saying I'm never going to have kids, by the way.
01:20:01.000 I'm just saying it's a fear that I struggle with.
01:20:04.000 I know a lot of people struggle with these fears.
01:20:06.000 We talked about the church groups often when people aren't honest.
01:20:08.000 I need to be forgiven for being a workaholic.
01:20:10.000 I spend too much on Facebook.
01:20:12.000 You know what?
01:20:13.000 No.
01:20:13.000 I'm telling you exactly what I'm afraid of.
01:20:15.000 I'm telling you what my weaknesses are because I know, and some of these are actually things that I feel as though I should have expressed a long time ago because I constantly encounter these at live performances where people say, you know what?
01:20:25.000 I really struggle with this and you help me with it.
01:20:26.000 I'm going, you know what?
01:20:27.000 I should just tell people.
01:20:28.000 I should just tell people that I struggle with that.
01:20:30.000 I should just tell people that I struggle with burnout and fear of that.
01:20:32.000 Or I should just tell people that I'm afraid of having children.
01:20:34.000 Because it might help them to not feel so alone.
01:20:36.000 We hear that so much from the left.
01:20:37.000 Oh, don't be alone!
01:20:38.000 Only they try to tell you you shouldn't feel alone in your depravity.
01:20:42.000 I'm telling you, you shouldn't feel alone in being afraid of things, but hopefully there's a solution that we'll get to after this.
01:20:46.000 I'm afraid of all of this going away and 15 people being out of a job.
01:20:52.000 That's one thing that really scares me.
01:20:54.000 If I'm undeserving and it all goes away, or you say the wrong thing, that can happen to anyone these days.
01:20:59.000 We've been really blessed.
01:21:00.000 There's 15 other people who rely on Mug Club and your support, not just myself.
01:21:05.000 That's something that's really scary.
01:21:08.000 Let me end on this.
01:21:09.000 I'm afraid of not being able to discern the things that I can control and the things that I can't and wasting energy trying to fix things or trying to contain things that I can't control.
01:21:22.000 I'm really afraid of not having discernment or not having perfect discernment.
01:21:26.000 I think that's what a lot of these fears stem from and even more I think I'm afraid of not fixing the issues that I can control.
01:21:35.000 And that would be even harder to live with.
01:21:36.000 So it's vicious.
01:21:37.000 It's just this never ending cycle of what can I control?
01:21:39.000 What can I not?
01:21:40.000 And if you can control it, you better do something about it because people are relying on you to fix this.
01:21:46.000 And if it's out of your control, you're spinning your wheels and the people who are relying on you, they're just going to see you burn out and then you can't help them.
01:21:52.000 It's, it's a really difficult thing to break.
01:21:55.000 It's a really difficult cycle to break.
01:21:58.000 Uh, I'm afraid of all of these things.
01:22:02.000 And Snake Island.
01:22:05.000 But don't live in fear.
01:22:07.000 And neither should you.
01:22:08.000 And I hear this a lot, particularly with this election.
01:22:12.000 You shouldn't live in fear.
01:22:12.000 It's okay to be afraid of things.
01:22:14.000 Everyone is afraid.
01:22:15.000 Bravery is doing the right thing in the face of being afraid.
01:22:18.000 But living in perpetual fear is different.
01:22:22.000 Just like people tell lies.
01:22:24.000 But lying to yourself consistently is corrosive to your soul in a way that is very different from telling somebody they don't look fat in a dress.
01:22:32.000 Living in a state of fear is different from being afraid.
01:22:35.000 You do not have to live in fear, regardless of the election, because you're not alone.
01:22:39.000 And not only are you not alone because of whether you believe in Him or not, God says that you're not alone.
01:22:44.000 But let's get out of, you know, what people may see as corny, sort of metaphysical bumper stickers.
01:22:49.000 If you're watching this live right now, okay, look at how many people are watching live with you.
01:22:54.000 If you're watching the show afterward, just look at how many subscribers, mug clubbers, there are next to you.
01:22:58.000 It takes all of us in knowing that there are millions upon millions of people right now in arms with you.
01:23:05.000 And you know why those people have hit the subscribe button?
01:23:07.000 You know why those people have bought this?
01:23:09.000 It's awesome.
01:23:10.000 It's hand etched, it's girthy, it's hand painted.
01:23:12.000 This is just a symbol.
01:23:13.000 You know why millions of people have supported this program?
01:23:16.000 It's not because it's funny.
01:23:18.000 Every now and then we get a few right.
01:23:20.000 It's not because people feel as though this is the only place they can go for political information or insight.
01:23:24.000 Millions of people have signed up because they have been through something similar to what you are going through or to what you have been through.
01:23:32.000 Look at that subscriber count.
01:23:33.000 That's the ceiling right now on YouTube.
01:23:35.000 I just lost my pen.
01:23:35.000 The ceiling for conservatives on YouTube is our channel.
01:23:38.000 Right?
01:23:39.000 And that's also a burden that scares us because we're going, man, we're changing the blueprint every single week and we're trying to do right by you.
01:23:45.000 Elections fluctuate.
01:23:47.000 And we get so many emails, especially in the life advice, but what do I do with the election?
01:23:50.000 I feel that our country's done.
01:23:51.000 I hear that every single election.
01:23:53.000 Elections change.
01:23:54.000 Parties change.
01:23:55.000 And it goes back and forth.
01:23:56.000 But win, lose, or draw, whether it's this go-around or the next go-around, you're not alone.
01:24:00.000 You don't need to live in fear.
01:24:01.000 Do you feel better at all?
01:24:03.000 Does that help you feel better?
01:24:04.000 I know sometimes these are supposed to be feel-good segments, but it doesn't really matter, okay?
01:24:08.000 Because whether you feel better or not, that's the truth.
01:24:11.000 So, take it.
01:24:11.000 If you feel better, good.
01:24:13.000 Now it's your obligation to help the next guy.
01:24:17.000 Go make sure today, right now, if you're listening, if you're watching this show, immediately, pause this.
01:24:23.000 There's only going to be a few seconds of music afterward anyway.
01:24:25.000 You don't even need to hear it.
01:24:26.000 You've probably heard the song a million times with Pogo.
01:24:28.000 Pause it right after this phrase and immediately go ensure that somebody else out there doesn't feel alone and doesn't need to live in perpetual fear.
01:24:37.000 If all of us do that, that's what changes this country, and that's what creates a team, and that's what gives people not only self-belief, but belief in their values and belief in real change.
01:24:48.000 Make sure today, right now, this is the last phrase, I'm getting near the end of this now, name that movie line, That you go out and ensure someone else doesn't feel alone and doesn't have to live in fear because that's why we do this.
01:25:00.000 We'll see you next week.
01:25:00.000 We've got Devil's Advocate with Stephen Molyneux.
01:25:02.000 That's gonna be fun.
