00:00:00.000 Race before.
00:00:00.000 Those are that's a three-pronged approach.
00:00:02.000 I think that's partial.
00:00:06.000 I don't think I think you're right.
00:00:07.000 I said the question is to me is while it's ideal and that's great if they do condemn it.
00:00:11.000 If they don't, what's your next step?
00:00:12.000 What's the next point?
00:00:13.000 I'm doing it.
00:00:14.000 Just condemn it, continue, just continue.
00:00:15.000 I'm continuing.
00:00:16.000 I agree with that.
00:00:17.000 Because when they say tone it down, from what?
00:00:19.000 From sitting down at a table and talking with anyone who will listen.
00:00:22.000 The only way to tone it down from here is silence.
00:00:24.000 Right.
00:00:24.000 I think I I know that you're an energetic guy.
00:00:26.000 I think you've been respectful.
00:00:27.000 Hopefully you think I've been respectful.
00:00:29.000 Yeah, I thought it's a great conversation.
00:00:30.000 This is what I've been doing.
00:00:31.000 They've tried to kill me anyway.
00:00:33.000 And they did the one that you saw that got through killed Charlie Kirk.
00:00:36.000 Right.
00:00:36.000 So when they say tone it down, what they mean is shut the f up, don't they?
00:00:39.000 I don't agree.
00:00:39.000 I don't agree with that.
00:00:40.000 At some point.
00:00:41.000 No, I mean, you don't agree with them, but you agree with a sentiment.
00:00:43.000 That's in other words, if they say you can't do this, tone it down.
00:00:45.000 Well, where do I tone it down?
00:00:46.000 And as Christian men, we're not called to sit there and tolerate everything.
00:00:49.000 I think as Christian men, obviously we're supposed to be, we're supposed to be maybe supposed to be gentle, but also Christ wants us to be a line for our faith.
00:00:55.000 I think one of the popes said toleration of all rules, just toleration of evil is the same as atheism.
00:00:59.000 So I agree with your take.
00:01:00.000 Like we have, I know it's probably not entertaining for the dealers because I agree on most stuff.
00:01:04.000 And so I agree with you.
00:01:06.000 I think I really what I think is I think it has to come to through a spiritual.
00:01:09.000 I think it's a spiritual battle.
00:01:10.000 Yeah.
00:01:11.000 And I think honestly the left is very atheistic, and I think the only way you won't get them to condemn, because it I don't think they feel sor sorrowful.
00:01:18.000 I think the only way to really make the lasting change is through a Christian revival, which I think is happening.
00:01:22.000 I mean, if you look at Gen C Orthodox Catholicism, Christianity, it's all on the rise.
00:01:26.000 I think that's the only way to really stop it.
00:01:28.000 And are you Catholic?
00:01:29.000 I'm orthodox.
00:01:29.000 I actually sweat your methods this summer.
00:01:30.000 I'm not sure.
00:01:31.000 So it's funny, I've actually been, I'm not saying that I've converted, uh, but I have a friend, Andrew Wilson, um, and he's orthodox, and I've been going to actually an Armenian Orthodox church.
00:01:39.000 Yeah.
00:01:40.000 Um not that I'm saying I'm there yet, but because I do think that the the um sort of whitewashed Protestant church in this country has become feminized and has failed.
00:01:49.000 It's it's weak, it's gentle.
00:01:50.000 It's too weak.
00:01:51.000 It's it's yeah, it's failed its constituents, and it's led us like lambs to the slaughter.
00:01:54.000 And so I do understand, you know, like look, uh it doesn't mean that I'm there yet and agree with everything, but the truth is if there's so many factions, that means even if one individual or one church isn't complete, it means one is more right.
00:02:05.000 And I do understand too with Gen Z. Like when I started this in 2008, there were no Christians on YouTube.
00:02:11.000 There were no conservatives.
00:02:12.000 Right.
00:02:12.000 I literally got the first.
00:02:14.000 My first 10,000 subscribers, I literally found someone who did gun reviews, and I direct messaged my first 10,000 saying, like, hey, I noticed that you like the second amendment.
00:02:23.000 I think maybe you might like some of my content.
00:02:25.000 And I did Crazy Pete's abortion barn where with a blue bed sheet, I did a used car salesman selling uh abortions, reading from Planned Parents.
00:02:31.000 The second one is Quran challenge, I got a fatwa on me right away.
00:02:33.000 But back then there were none.
00:02:35.000 And I didn't um what I didn't expect was to see this kind of a swing, although I've always been pretty consistent, where I always said when you whitewash Christianity, it's too easy for someone to come back with an argument and go like, well, God killed millions of people.
00:02:46.000 Well, that's true.
00:02:47.000 It's not just a god of agape love, it's also a god of justice.
00:02:51.000 Yep.
00:02:52.000 And uh I saw I I've seen that change with Gen Z where they're not just more conservative, they're more aggressive, uh Christian conservative and steadfast in it, where they don't want this um sanitized version that they know is not truthful.
00:03:07.000 Right.
00:03:07.000 And I appreciate that about a lot of young Gen Z men.
00:03:09.000 I'm glad to see it because there was, you know, pre-baby boom, and then there was baby boom through Gen X, where everyone was just uh called.
00:03:17.000 And I appreciate whether we agree on everything or not, I appreciate your generation's picking it up.
00:03:20.000 That's a finger point.
00:03:21.000 Like I feel very strongly my belief.
00:03:23.000 So like I'm saying you have to stand firm in what you believe in.
00:03:25.000 If you don't stand for anything, you don't it doesn't matter.
00:03:28.000 Because they these people do not play by the same rules that we had played for by the last 30 years.
00:03:31.000 Yeah.
00:03:32.000 They're violent.
00:03:33.000 They they have mobs, they have that attack and say, most Republicans conservative say, you know what, like if you want to play by those rules, we'll play by those rules.
00:03:39.000 That's the only way to win.
00:03:39.000 Obviously, not violence.
00:03:40.000 Of course, we'd like to do that.
00:03:41.000 No, I agree.
00:03:42.000 Because be righteous, live consistently, and by the way, I'm a horrible example as a Christian.
00:03:47.000 I just tell people that.
00:03:48.000 Like, I that's why I also don't preach.
00:03:49.000 So we do a Friday apologetics episode with Gerald.
00:03:51.000 Um, we're all be righteous.
00:03:53.000 Yeah, be righteous, and uh and also don't lose your spine and protect your angle.
00:03:58.000 Be a man.
00:03:59.000 Be a shepherd.
00:03:59.000 So thank you so much, Mr. What's your name again?
00:04:02.000 Harrison Harris.
00:04:02.000 Harrison, thank you, Harrison.
00:04:04.000 See you well, brother.
00:04:07.000 Well, there you have it.
00:04:08.000 After years-long hiatus on this series, the first comeback stop of Change My Mind is in the book.
00:04:14.000 And like I said, you can tune into the Daily Show on Rumble at 11 a.m. Eastern weekdays, along with all the references publicly available.
00:04:21.000 But if you want more, Change My Mind, which is a labor-intensive endeavor.
00:04:25.000 Comment below what you'd like to see next and where.
00:04:28.000 And I'll level up with you as someone who's hesitant to sit in that chair, I was reminded of what makes Change My Mind so special.
00:04:37.000 And what I want to continue to promote, genuine, raw, unedited, unfiltered, non-performative conversations where ideas can be challenged, people can respectfully engage, and a conversation can take place while we don't have to compromise on our principles or frankly find common ground based on a lie.
00:04:56.000 I think you can be respectful and still be bold.
00:04:59.000 You can be civil and still be steadfast.
00:05:02.000 Identifying the difference between people discussing in good faith versus those who are not is a valuable skill in and of itself to have.
00:05:09.000 But you tell me what was your favorite conversation in this latest series and what is it that means most to you about this kind of format.
00:05:16.000 And most importantly, please remember above all else that the only way for people of our beliefs to tone down the temperature more from sitting down at a table and talking with anyone who will listen is silent.
00:05:29.000 And we need to show those who want us to resign ourselves to that that that dog won't hunt.
