00:00:00.000 CBC, Canada's state-funded media apparatus, they had some strong words about Canadian Prime Minister
00:00:05.120 Mark Carney's approach to dealing with Donald Trump. Now it's one thing when left-wing CTV calls
00:00:09.800 out a liberal politician, it's another thing entirely when the state broadcaster calls out
00:00:14.660 the Canadian Prime Minister. Now you may not know this, but CTV, they've received tens of tens of
00:00:19.720 millions of dollars from the liberal government, and this calls its impartiality into question.
00:00:24.520 However, with the CBC, they're completely funded by the liberal government,
00:00:28.980 raising even bigger questions about its impartiality. Now the CBC, it received over
00:00:33.800 1.4 billion dollars of your money in 2025 alone. Now it claims to have political neutrality,
00:00:41.080 but a lot of people on our side, they claim it's left-wing, and some people would go as far as
00:00:46.620 saying that it's the propaganda arm of the liberal party. Now considering the fact that Polyev actually
00:00:51.440 vowed to defund the CBC if he won the last election, the CBC's very existence relies on Polyev
00:00:58.620 not being in power. If Polyev won the last election, a lot of these so-called journalists
00:01:04.220 at CBC, they'd be working at McDonald's or collecting welfare right now. Seriously though,
00:01:09.720 the legacy media, they're struggling, and a lot of journalism grads, they're lucky if they can find
00:01:15.180 part-time work in their field. But that's for another video. So when CBC or some of the panelists
00:01:20.380 it brings on are critical of the Carney government, what that means is that Carney's actually in a lot of
00:01:25.620 trouble, and they're having trouble spinning it around. Now a perfect example of this was shown
00:01:30.440 during a recent episode of CBC's Power in Politics, hosted by John Paul Tasker, otherwise known as
00:01:36.640 JP Tasker. Now this entire episode was solely dedicated to ripping apart Jamal Giovanni, a conservative
00:01:43.420 MP for the heinous crime of going down to the United States and trying to restore trade relationships
00:01:49.240 by leveraging his longtime friendship with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. Naturally, CBC wasn't
00:01:55.120 happy about a non-liberal going to the United States trying to improve trade relations. This episode
00:02:00.540 makes it really clear. However, I caught a few parts in this episode where Tasker or some of his guests
00:02:05.920 went completely off script and actually leveled some genuine criticism of Carney. That's the equivalent
00:02:11.060 of someone like me completely ripping him apart. So I'm going to show you a few clips right here. I'm not
00:02:16.160 going to show you the whole episode this time. So the first clip I'm going to show you comes from a
00:02:19.640 panelist at a PR firm. You know, do I think there is frustration, rightly so, among Canadians, among
00:02:25.460 the opposition, among premiers, about the lack of transparency, and among the media, by the way,
00:02:30.140 around the lack of transparency from the Carney government on the status of negotiations with the
00:02:34.820 U.S., on readouts from the Prime Minister's office? Why are we learning major announcements from U.S.
00:02:41.180 outlets and not here? I do think there actually is some real concerns, right concerns about that.
00:02:46.500 Now, the first specialist was Amanda Galbraith from the Oyster Group, which is a public relations
00:02:50.780 firm. Now, this admission she made actually came after making a series of comments criticizing
00:02:55.940 Giovanni for his trip to Washington. But the thing is, she said what everybody else is thinking right now.
00:03:01.680 Mark Carney, he's simply not being transparent about the status of trade relations with the United
00:03:07.060 States. He's not keeping us up to date. Now, is it possible that Mark Carney is hiding the status
00:03:11.480 of negotiations as part of his strategy? It's possible. However, that does nothing to make
00:03:17.040 people feel better about this whole situation. Because after all, Mark Carney was elected for
00:03:21.180 one reason, or mostly one reason, to get a deal with Donald Trump. And at the time of making this
00:03:26.500 video, there's still no deal. Now, to be fair, I can't completely blame Mark Carney for that,
00:03:32.260 but I can't blame him for overselling himself and overselling his ability to get a deal with
00:03:37.720 Donald Trump. However, this isn't the only part of the episode where CBC goes completely off script.
00:03:42.540 There's a few other nuggets that I want to show you. Before I get into this, I want to remind you
00:03:46.040 I'm being heavily censored on YouTube. If you see this part of the video, let me know in the comment
00:03:50.180 section. Tell me what city you're coming from. Give me a quick like and make sure you're still
00:03:54.620 subscribed. All right. Thank you. Get back to the act. I mean, there's a reason why some folks are
00:04:00.140 having a, quote, hissy fit, right? You talk about the auto sector. Look at what happened in Ingersoll.
00:04:05.380 Look what happened in Brampton. We've had two major plants close and thousands, literally thousands
00:04:09.980 of people are out of work. The forestry sector has been obviously hard hit. The list goes on.
00:04:14.460 There's a lot of reasons why Canadians are upset with Trump and his administration.
00:04:18.640 What do you make of the tact that Giovanni is taking here? I mean, he seems to be kind of leaning
00:04:24.580 into this idea that maybe that there's a there's a reason why America could blame Canada for some
00:04:31.380 things and that maybe we've gone overboard in terms of our criticism, our boycotts, our animosity
00:04:37.400 towards the U.S. right now. Now that right there, that was JB Tasker completely going off script
00:04:42.340 and actually questioning whether Mark Carney has done the right thing in regards to U.S. Canada trade
00:04:47.580 relations. Now for now, I'll let you tell me what you think in the comment section and then I'll tell you
00:04:52.720 what I think later on in the video. But there's a few more nuggets I want to show you. Check out this.
00:04:57.800 And that is that three quarters of our exports go to the United States. We are very much dependent
00:05:03.440 on what Trump does. You know, we should try and patch things up that we shouldn't just prolong a
00:05:09.300 fight that we should, you know, try and get to a better, you know, state of affairs with Trump and
00:05:14.980 his administration. And that might involve humbling ourselves a bit, maybe swallowing some of the things
00:05:20.340 that come our way. Do you think that Giovanni might have the ticket to how we solve this issue?
00:05:25.180 I mean, look past the hissy fit remark. Is he on to something when he says, hey, let's try and bring
00:05:31.420 this together and have some sort of peaceful resolution? Once again, there's another brief moment of
00:05:35.840 clarity right there. Of course, Canada and America are better off as allies and strong trading partners.
00:05:42.420 Nobody's arguing against that, including myself. And I also wouldn't make the argument that China
00:05:46.800 would somehow be preferable to the United States, considering the fact that it's far away and run
00:05:51.760 by a communist government. However, there's still another good nugget I want to share with you.
00:05:55.960 This is Rob Russell with The Economist. Listen to what he had to say.
00:05:58.820 We ran an election last time on Mr. Carney being best positioned to deal with Donald Trump.
00:06:05.000 We don't have a deal with Donald Trump. So what is the next election going to be on? What is the
00:06:10.120 pretext for the next election if you're the liberals? Again, there is an opening for a conservative
00:06:15.260 leader in this scenario. But let's see how adroit Volyev is going to be.
00:06:21.820 Right there. Rob Russell said on CBC on live television that Mark Carney failed to live up
00:06:27.600 to his one major promise to get a deal with Donald Trump. And like I said earlier, if CBC is mildly
00:06:34.580 criticizing Mark Carney, that's really bad news for him. Now let's go back to Jamil's comment that spurred
00:06:40.120 this whole episode. During an interview recently with Breitbart News in the United States,
00:06:45.160 Jamil said that Canadians are having a hissy fit over the Americans. And what Giovanni said on this
00:06:50.080 radio program is in line with what a lot of other right-wing influencers are saying. They're saying
00:06:54.700 that we should either ignore Donald Trump, it's not our problem, or we should just forget the fact
00:06:59.360 that Donald Trump threatened to annex us multiple times. Now look, I've said what I had to say about
00:07:04.000 Donald Trump multiple times on YouTube or on X. So if you want to see exactly where I stand on that,
00:07:09.000 you can check that out. I'm not going to repeat that here. But I will say in regards to Giovanni,
00:07:13.760 I don't think there's anything wrong with him going down to the United States and trying to work on some
00:07:18.080 deal that benefits both Canada and the United States. The fact that he's had a longtime friendship
00:07:23.380 with the vice president, J.D. Vance, is a bonus. And I don't think there's anything wrong with
00:07:28.280 leveraging that. I do think that his comments might be a little bit out of line with how Canadians
00:07:33.240 see the situation. Some people might describe it as tone deaf, especially the people that lost their
00:07:38.560 jobs due to tariffs. Now according to a recent poll by Echoes, 88% of Canadians, the overwhelming
00:07:44.080 majority, have a negative opinion of Donald Trump. And I'll attach a link in the description. So
00:07:49.640 Giovanni going down to the United States might excite people on the right, but it does nothing to help
00:07:55.180 the conservative party win over people in the center. Now if conservatives actually want to win the
00:07:59.340 next federal election, we need to start winning people over. And of course, people are entitled
00:08:04.480 to their opinions. They're free to believe what they want about Donald Trump. However, if we align
00:08:09.880 ourselves with Donald Trump, at least publicly, that's a great way to ensure we lose the next
00:08:14.400 election. Fortunately, Poliev, he's no dummy. And he was smart enough to separate himself from
00:08:19.480 Giovanni's comments today. Check out this video. Now Poliev, like he usually does, he had the perfect
00:08:32.880 response right there. And he was able to subtly separate himself from what Giovanni had to say.
00:08:38.520 And at least in my opinion, I think Poliev is going to have to do more of this. He's going to have to
00:08:43.240 take a stronger stance against Americans in the upcoming months if he wants to win the next election.
00:08:47.620 Like I showed you before, a lot of Canadians do not like Donald Trump, and they're still very upset
00:08:52.500 about this whole trade war. So I think Poliev is going to have to vary his approach and take a
00:08:57.440 stronger stance against Trump. Now that's going to alienate certain parts of his base. However,
00:09:02.840 I'll still have his back, and I hope you do too. But I'm still very optimistic that Poliev will get
00:09:07.520 his messaging right and will win the next election. A conservative supermajority, it's still a real
00:09:13.160 possibility and can come as early as this summer. So like I always say, just hang in there, have a bit
00:09:18.920 of patience, have a bit of faith. We're going to win, and we're going to win big. Thanks for tuning
00:09:23.460 in. I love every single one of you. Talk to you soon, Patriots.
