00:00:00.000 china will come and hollow out your country lunch it will eat you alive literally carney is in 1.00

00:00:08.000 serious trouble over his recent deal with communist china and it's not just canadians that are calling

00:00:12.880 him out americans are calling him out too now this recent deal with china could spell the end

00:00:17.120 of carney's career according to a recent segment by fox news a canadian prime minister recently

00:00:22.080 traveled to communist china striking a trade deal he also said this was the beginning of a quote

00:00:26.880 unquote new world order now the experts are warning this deal could backfire and carney could be out of

00:00:32.320 office very soon thought carney says canada isn't pursuing a free trade deal with china and is simply

00:00:40.160 rectifying some issues with beijing so griff you're a smart guy explain to us what is carney doing here

00:00:47.840 what what's his end goal with all i have no idea but you know the uh picture you showed just the

00:00:54.080 intro remember that was carney and trump at the white house the beginning of last year and they

00:00:59.040 seem to love each other so i'm going to date myself with this canadian reference but let's hope this is

00:01:03.600 just bob and doug mckenzie steamrolling each other in strange brew and they're going to eventually work

00:01:08.800 it out because at the end of the day what in the world carney was doing going to davos talking about

00:01:14.080 the middle powers have to band together because if not we're on the menu and in this rupture in the old

00:01:20.480 western order of the world makes no sense now on the one hand carney perhaps maybe trying to

00:01:28.080 position himself with some sort of uh leverage or strength going into the fact that they're going

00:01:33.360 to renegotiate i believe the usmca but really drawing the ire of president trump ahead of that

00:01:39.360 may not be the best path to do it i could structure this entire segment around references to strange brew

00:01:45.120 but i'm not going to do that for the sake of the audience i love that movie um jackie carney

00:01:53.360 seems to be getting tough with president trump he thinks china is a good way to do that

00:01:59.360 do you think the canadian people want to see their prime minister getting cozy with xi jinping like is 1.00

00:02:05.760 that what canada wanted when they said let's stand up the united states um i don't think that's what they

00:02:11.440 want i actually think people in every nation despite what we're seeing from some americans now

00:02:16.400 who want to see america fail generally overall people that live in a place want to see that place

00:02:22.000 prosper um and without conflict what i think is happening here is do you remember i think it was

00:02:26.960 in the 90s michael jordan and they did that song i want to be like mike yes remember that and and it

00:02:32.320 went around and like it went from like little kids to groups of people everybody wanted to be like

00:02:38.080 michael jordan because he was the best at what he did um this is carney trying to be like trump

00:02:45.440 everybody sees how he negotiates and they put their own spin and interpretation on what they think the

00:02:52.160 art of the deal is i mean somebody like carney really doesn't get it because it's just not in

00:02:57.120 his dna but to me this is him trying to act tough and oppose trump to kind of you know the way trump

00:03:05.920 did with the tariffs right he started here but we ended up here so he's acting like he's gonna play

00:03:11.200 this tough guy he's you know he's he's coming at him he's gonna fight him with china um the funny 1.00

00:03:17.520 part is is that trump kind of laughs all of this off because he understands what the realities are

00:03:22.960 you want to go down the road and and do business with china might not be tomorrow but at some point

00:03:28.160 you're gonna get bit in the backside by it um and trump also knows that he's got the leverage to

00:03:34.240 get canada i mean they've got to cooperate they've got to come to terms with the united states on a

00:03:39.440 deal so whether it's macron or carney and they're trying to play tough guys it's just you can't do

00:03:45.520 that with this president i appreciate the trying but supporting actor best supporting actor supporting

00:03:51.440 that you're giving him a nomination for best supporting actor maybe he'd be happy with that

00:03:55.360 um so dagan uh carney and china okay and president trump first reaction to that whole thing was well

00:04:05.360 good good for carney for trying to do something with china that's what you should do his second

00:04:09.840 reaction was i'm gonna throw 100 tariffs on you if you do a deal with them so in between reaction one

00:04:16.880 and two maybe it was greenland that got in the mix there and the president's thinking about golden

00:04:22.080 dome but it does seem like president trump took a different tact with our neighbor to the north

00:04:28.160 do you make anything of that all right as promised this is the part where fox news completely destroys

00:04:32.960 mark carney before i show you this i want to remind you i'm being heavily censored on youtube if you see

00:04:38.560 this part of the video let me know in the comment section tell me what city you're from give me a like

00:04:43.280 and make sure you're still subscribed president trump's always looking i would say eight steps ahead

00:04:50.320 no it's more like 80. so i don't know where the president is going with this but carney can just go

00:05:00.000 ahead with himself right china will come and hollow out your country a bunch it will eat you alive yeah 1.00

00:05:09.680 literally china will lock you into a path that guarantees second-class status for for canada not 0.94

00:05:18.560 only will it you know steal your manufacturing capabilities and technology that's predictable

00:05:26.240 but canada is heavily resource dependent selling oil fossil fuels timber china will buy all of that

00:05:38.400 you will become canada a commodity and then if china doesn't get the price it likes it will go

00:05:45.840 somewhere else for a better deal and then you are completely screwed that and also that and i've 0.59

00:05:53.760 mentioned this before this is called the dutch disease where a country develops an unhealthy

00:06:00.560 dependence on natural resource exports to the detriment of other sectors

00:06:06.320 of x what else would you know because china is such a good customer for your natural resources that

00:06:13.440 everything else kind of falls by the wayside and you become some sort of brazil where you're committed

00:06:22.560 to natural resource extraction as your only source of earnings and if you're not careful if you're run

00:06:28.080 by some clown like carney that's what'll happen to you is it possible that carney is trying to give 0.93

00:06:33.360 canadians a bad case of dutch disease who knows i love how this woman called carney a clown and she's 1.00

00:06:39.200 right he is a clown canadians we don't have the best track record when it comes to electing politicians 0.98

00:06:45.600 because the politicians we elect are hated all over the world especially in america americans hated 0.97

00:06:51.120 justin trudeau and now it seems that they hate mark carney even more taylor uh it's a big deal whenever

00:06:56.880 there's problems between canada and the u.s because there's so much back and forth that happens there

00:07:04.720 do you wish 2026 was the year that canada and the u.s could finally come together and say you know

00:07:09.920 what let's let's get on the same page because big things are happening and we're neighbors and we have

00:07:14.720 to or or is the fight still worth it here you know that's a good question i think we'd always

00:07:20.960 want to for us to unite against china and i agree with dagan's comments good luck doing a deal with 0.99

00:07:27.520 china they'll come in and eat you alive it would be nice to pull china um sorry canada into the u.s but 1.00

00:07:34.800 you know what brian america's going to be just fine without canada if there's some rocky trade relations

00:07:40.480 we're going to be fine i highlighted that we're looking at north of five percent gdp

00:07:44.800 vanguard was estimating canada in 2026 looking at 1.6 percent real gdp growth for the year

00:07:50.880 good luck that is subpar sub two percent gdp growth for the year the u.s is booming i think

00:07:56.640 that you're lucky to be on board here in a more innovative um a dynamic economy here is something

00:08:03.760 else that was interesting when we're we've talked to us often about the consumer or the k-shapes

00:08:09.120 so they've done some studies the cibc bank about the k-shaped economy in canada and they said it's

00:08:16.000 converging it's less divergent than the k-shaped economy in the u.s ooh isn't that better no it's

00:08:22.160 not because guess what the wealthy in canada aren't as wealthy as the wealthy in america so

00:08:27.760 our wealthy the top part of that k are spending and propping up in many ways the economy the wealthy

00:08:33.520 in canada they can't do that they don't have the wealth that americans can and their bottom k is

00:08:38.640 converging because the bottom k is dipping into savings to propel their spending so i think on the

00:08:45.120 surface you can be like oh we're in a fight with canada you dig into the numbers america's going

00:08:50.560 to be just fine we have a super dynamic economy okay so let me raise something you brought up the

00:08:54.720 movie strange brew earlier and this is actually one of president trump's big concerns about this

00:09:00.240 actually relates to the plot of that movie and the plot of that movie remember the brewmaster wanted

00:09:04.960 to take over the brewery because he wanted to control people's minds through the beer okay

00:09:09.920 president trump says i don't want china in canada because i don't want canada to use our northern

00:09:16.640 border as a means for infiltrating our economy right or creating a national security threat so it is 0.61

00:09:22.720 it's kind of the same thing it strikes me griff i don't know let me ask you this is mark carney

00:09:28.720 the kind of guy who's full of himself just enough that he could actually let that kind of dynamic

00:09:35.280 happen because he's trying to spite trump by letting china in his front it's such a great great question 0.74

00:09:41.600 brian because that would suggest that the carney may have been afflicted with trump derangement syndrome 0.79

00:09:48.160 which we joked about a while back but we have seen so many people actually do dumb things you know

00:09:54.240 shooting yourself in the foot to you know make no point that the trump derangement syndrome is real

00:09:59.440 but you know i do want to come back because you touched on it but i don't think you can overstate

00:10:04.640 it and that is the golden dome is very much a part of it and you wonder where carney understands that

00:10:10.000 because you have greenland and obviously we've got alaska canada's in the middle what is canada doing

00:10:16.320 spending nothing on defense what is canada's you know military uh readiness it's nothing they're decades

00:10:23.280 behind they need to rebuild and so on the one hand carney should be looking at investment and

00:10:28.240 opportunities but we can't do golden dome without canada but that doesn't give him leverage it gives

00:10:34.560 him an opportunity for investment because we're gonna have to bring the defense structure infrastructure

00:10:40.160 in canada way up to do this so at the end of the day hard to say where his head is but if he's got tds

00:10:46.880 it's going to be a real rude awakening kevin o'leary has made the point that norad which is our big

00:10:52.160 right you know uh collaboration with canada needs tons and tons of upgrade and these guys got to

00:10:58.160 get on the same page if for no other reason that because greenland and alaska don't do you a lot of

00:11:02.240 good if canada is a huge vulnerable right so is this the end of mark carney's career it could be

00:11:08.400 it really depends on how voters react based on my understanding of liberals they don't really care

00:11:13.120 too much about the china issue but they will care if trump retaliates puts 100 tariffs on canada and

00:11:19.440 destroys our economy then people will care and in a roundabout way if that does happen that could be

00:11:25.280 really good for conservatives and let me explain we should step back and let the liberals suffer the

00:11:31.360 consequences of their bad decisions and then and maybe only then people will realize the mistake

00:11:38.080 they've made in voting for people like trudeau and carney and then polyev will dominate the next

00:11:42.480 selection just a thought but anyway thanks for tuning in i love you all talk to you soon patriots
