00:00:00.000 Mark Carney's latest budget is so awful, so bad, that even CTV had to call it one of his MPs on
00:00:06.680 live television over it. Let's take a look at that. In advance of the budget, your government
00:00:11.000 billed it as, quote, transformational, generational, and a sea change. The increase in capital spending,
00:00:17.160 for example, beyond what was already promised, only amounts to about 0.2% of GDP. And the savings,
00:00:23.140 on the other hand, are only at a level about one-third of the scope of what the 1995 budget,
00:00:28.860 pardon, budget brought in, which was heralded at the time for its work on that side of the ledger.
00:00:33.700 How does any of that, Minister, amount to a sea change?
00:00:37.740 Well, you've got to look at what options the government could have considered when you're
00:00:42.780 trying to achieve savings so you can make bigger investments to help grow the economy. We certainly
00:00:48.660 could have taken the approach that was taken in the mid-90s, but that would have required us to
00:00:52.560 slash transfers for things like health care to the provinces. We instead have made a decision to
00:00:58.080 invest more, including in provincial health care infrastructure with this budget, what we wanted
00:01:02.660 to do was focus on the programs that we observed not to be having their intended impact. Each of us
00:01:08.540 in Cabinet was asked to go through an exercise to assess which programs, which policies were costing
00:01:14.100 taxpayers money, but not delivering the outcomes that we wanted to see. Those programs will be phased
00:01:21.080 out, some through organic sunsetting periods. There'll be some attrition, some early retirements
00:01:25.580 offered to folks in the public service, but what it's done is it has freed up capital that allow
00:01:30.220 us to make investments that are going to help grow the economy. Investment tax credits for those who
00:01:34.620 are going to bring a business to Canada, tax deductions for those who are going to buy a new
00:01:38.060 piece of equipment to scale up, investments in infrastructure where they're going to put people
00:01:41.980 to work in the short term but create a stronger economy in the long term. The impact that this budget is
00:01:46.860 going to have over the next decade or number of decades is extraordinary when you look at the
00:01:52.220 opportunity to build the kind of economy that will generate productivity and revenue for generations
00:01:58.540 to come. Now, as you saw right there, that was nothing but a drawn out word salad. Sean Fraser used
00:02:04.620 a lot of words, but he said nothing of substance. Now, watch how Vashy responds to this. She's not
00:02:11.260 going to let him off the hook. Now, before we go on, I want to point out, first of all, my voice is very
00:02:15.980 hoarse and it's still recovering, but I'm also being censored. If you see this part of the video,
00:02:20.700 let me know in the comments section. Give me a like and make sure you're still subscribed. Thanks.
00:02:25.580 What exactly is extraordinary about using infrastructure spending to stimulate the economy?
00:02:30.860 About taking tax write-offs to incentivize business investment? Both of those things I can remember
00:02:36.860 former Prime Minister Stephen Harper introducing and as recently as 2018, the Trudeau government,
00:02:42.700 of which you were a prominent member, also introduced the ability to write off
00:02:46.700 different pieces of equipment that was actually broader in scope and more immediate than what you
00:02:52.940 are pitching. So again, like what is extraordinary or transformative or generational about using old
00:02:59.340 ideas and just pitching them as something new? Did you see that? Liberal MP Sean Fraser just got
00:03:05.020 called out on live television. Now let's watch how we respond. Well, I would disagree that these are
00:03:11.420 simply old ideas being pitched as something new. You can look, for example, not only to the fact that
00:03:17.900 you might be using a tool that certainly has existed before with investment tax credits,
00:03:21.900 but using it to tap into new and emerging sectors in the economy, whether that's critical minerals,
00:03:27.260 whether that's adopting sovereign infrastructure when it comes to AI to ensure as the trade disruptions
00:03:34.300 that we've seen globally have an impact on our ability to control our economy, to control the data that
00:03:39.100 helps power the economy. We're not just putting more money into things, but ensuring that it builds
00:03:45.580 a level of sovereignty to the economic decisions that we're going to be able to take for the next
00:03:50.140 number of generations. In addition to these major investment tax credits that will attract new industries,
00:03:57.340 when you actually see the deduction allowing people to immediately write off the full value of
00:04:01.420 investments, certainly that's been done in different ways before, but not necessarily in the same way for
00:04:06.140 the same industries to the same scale. You're also seeing an unprecedented investment really outside
00:04:13.260 of the great wars of the previous century in the Canadian Armed Forces that are not only going to
00:04:17.740 offer a pay raise to men and women in uniform, but it's going to create a defense industrial strategy to
00:04:22.540 ensure that more Canadians are put to work in good paying jobs when we make those investments.
00:04:27.660 The list of examples continues, but I don't want to exhaust our time in the conversation on this topic alone.
00:04:35.100 That was literally the worst answer I've ever heard. Just a bumbling, uh, uh, uh, and you can even tell
00:04:41.420 that Vashi herself is not impressed. Look at her face right here. Man, these liberals literally think
00:04:46.540 we're stupid. And unfortunately, a lot of Canadians are. Put it this way, you know you're an idiot when
00:04:53.020 even CTV has to call you out. Even when left-wing liberal funded CTV calls you out on live television,
00:05:00.220 you're definitely a fool. Now let's watch Vashi clean this guy's claw.
00:05:04.220 I certainly do take your point on defense spending because it is markedly more significant than
00:05:09.260 anything we've seen previously. If I put that aside though, and look at all the other things
00:05:13.420 you're announcing that you say will have a material impact really, I guess five years out or more on
00:05:18.780 Canadians lives. It's don't take my word for it. I look at the analysis from Desjardins, which said,
00:05:23.420 if Canadians were hoping for a transformative or generational budget, they will be disappointed
00:05:27.820 with the government of Canada's budget 2025. The bank of Montreal, much of the stimulus in the
00:05:33.500 budget consists of measures that were already known. So it is unlikely to cause a sharp revision
00:05:38.620 of economic growth forecast. The picture in your government is what we're doing here is so unique.
00:05:43.020 You are going to see the economy grow in ways that you haven't before. The bank of Montreal is saying
00:05:47.660 we're not even going to revise our forecast based on what we saw in this budget.
00:05:50.780 I love it. That was delicious. Fashi is on fire today. Now let's watch Liberal MP Sean
00:05:56.620 Fraser try to squirm his way out of this one. Well, you look at some of the examples of the
00:06:01.020 game changing policies that are in the budget and they may have been announced a month ago,
00:06:05.020 but still form part of the strategy going forward. I take for example, the new approach to home
00:06:09.580 building. Certainly I was involved previously with policies designed to help build more homes,
00:06:14.940 but the creation of a federal agency through build Canada homes to ensure that the government
00:06:19.420 is able to act essentially as a developer, leveraging all of its tools at once backed by
00:06:23.980 a $13 billion capital investment is a different way of doing things that I think is going to have
00:06:28.860 a positive impact, not only on housing outcomes, but on productivity that's going to drive change
00:06:34.140 within the sector, embracing more manufactured homes. It's this kind of different thinking that
00:06:38.380 allows us to take control of the economy here in Canada in a way that people did not feel was under
00:06:43.820 control over the last few years, particularly coming out of the pandemic that sets this budget
00:06:48.860 apart from any other similar efforts or different policies that have been put forward in previous
00:06:53.100 years. Oh boy, Sean Fraser just made a huge mistake. He accidentally admitted something. Let me ask you a
00:06:59.660 question. Who was the prime minister of the last few years? Justin Trudeau. So he accidentally admitted
00:07:05.820 that Justin Trudeau was economically incompetent. But minister, you were in charge of housing through
00:07:11.260 those previous years. Why now should Canadians listening tonight trust that a new agency will
00:07:16.460 do what you were unable to do? Fashi just hit him with a knock-o-punch. That was the knock-o-punch
00:07:21.420 right there. And the funny thing, he walked right into that. Well, in last year, we did move forward with
00:07:27.500 some of the most ambitious housing policies and you don't have to take my word for it. There's plenty of
00:07:31.900 housing experts who would validate that that represented the largest housing investments that we've seen in a
00:07:36.940 number of generations. But we have the opportunity to take things a step further without undoing some
00:07:42.700 of the good programs that were put in place previously. Actually having the government
00:07:47.100 pool together, and I was part of the conversations, believe it or not, that led to the creation of this
00:07:52.780 agency before the last federal election and conversations with our now Prime Minister Mark Carney
00:07:58.140 to actually figure out how we can best leverage all of the resources that the federal government has
00:08:03.020 at its disposal. When we have access to federal land, when we have access to low-cost financing, when
00:08:07.900 we have access to grant programs to help non-market housing put a roof over the head of the most
00:08:13.260 vulnerable, we figure that we can in-house have a greater impact on that key part of the sector
00:08:20.380 that's not necessarily going to benefit from improvements in market housing. Politics is a sector
00:08:26.460 where you have to focus on continued improvement. Canadians would not accept that you rest on laurels
00:08:31.340 of years gone by. They want to know how you're going to address the challenges that we're facing today
00:08:37.100 and continue to scale the efforts, even in areas that are having some positive returns."
00:08:42.140 This Liberal MP, he's done. And of course, he's too narcissistic to realize he just had his life,
00:08:49.180 his career ruined on live television. So I'll point it out for him. Liberal MP Sean Fraser literally admitted
00:08:55.420 on live television, no less, that the budget is a complete mess, it's complete garbage, and former
00:09:01.420 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was a buffoon. Man, if this MP doesn't get fired for this interview,
00:09:06.380 he's definitely going to get voted out next election. You'd have to be a complete moron to
00:09:10.860 vote for a guy like this. Unfortunately, a lot of Canadians are morons. However, some of these
00:09:16.060 morons are starting to get smart. And that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping some of these morons,
00:09:20.940 at least some of them, wake up and realize the idiots they're voting for when they vote liberal.
00:09:26.300 Now, of course, what makes this noteworthy is that CTV is usually biased against conservatives.
00:09:31.660 CTV hates conservatives. And a big part of that is, well, first of all, most of their audience is
00:09:36.860 left wing. They're a left wing media organization. But on top of that, the liberal government has given
00:09:42.380 them hundreds of millions of dollars. However, when they do real journalism, sort of like they did in
00:09:48.540 this episode, I like to call it out. I'm a credit where credit is due guy and Vashi did a great job
00:09:54.060 there. I like to send Vashi Capello as a virtual high five for completely destroying that incompetent goon.
00:10:00.940 Mark Carney is a liar, a con man and a snake. He lied to Canadians. He misled his voters. He misled
00:10:07.660 liberals. He misled everyone. He's supposed to get a deal with Donald Trump. Where's the deal?
00:10:12.620 Carney was supposed to be an economic genius. He was supposed to be an economic mastermind.
00:10:17.660 Now he puts out a budget, which is very late. I might add very late as a sky high deficit,
00:10:23.740 a CN tower high deficit, and he barely even mentioned the youth. The liberals, Mark Carney,
00:10:30.460 they don't care about the youth. And that's shameful. It's only a matter of time for Canadians
00:10:35.260 wake up and realize the mistake they made, or at least some of them in voting for Mark Carney.
00:10:40.060 And next election, we're going to get Pierre Paulie have an office.
00:10:43.340 Just have some patience. Have some faith. Talk to you tomorrow, Patriots.
