00:00:00.000 that evidence is hearsay and is rejected because it's not true.
00:00:04.220 A biased mainstream media journalist was caught lying
00:00:06.620 and was immediately fact-checked on live television.
00:00:09.640 Vashie Capellos has a cushy job at CTV
00:00:11.620 where she literally gets paid to make liberals look good
00:00:14.320 and conservatives look bad.
00:00:16.240 She's been doing this for around 20 years, so she's no amateur.
00:00:19.600 Angie Schur is a Canadian politician that fights for the working-class man.
00:00:23.320 He was previously the leader of the Conservative Party.
00:00:25.940 He's been in politics for around 20 years,
00:00:27.840 so like Vashie, he's also no amateur at doing his job.
00:00:31.760 All right, so let's watch how Schur handles Vashie.
00:00:34.620 Here's round one.
00:00:35.860 Joining me now to get the vantage point from caucus
00:00:37.760 and from the party itself is the Conservative House leader, Andrew Schur.
00:00:41.620 Hi, Mr. Schur, it's good to see you again.
00:00:43.100 Great to see this on the road.
00:00:44.160 Yeah, yeah, a few days ago in Ottawa, today in Calgary.
00:00:47.240 I wanted to start off with some questions about
00:00:48.860 what to anticipate from Mr. Polyev's speech tonight
00:00:51.060 and first off, ask you if he will speak to the issue of separatism
00:00:56.380 as the sentiment exists in this province and the news that we've seen.
00:01:00.300 So notice how Vashie starts the interview all nice and friendly.
00:01:03.480 Then she immediately drops a loaded question.
00:01:06.280 She's trying to bait Schur into saying something really stupid about separatism.
00:01:09.680 Now watch how Schur responds.
00:01:10.940 Well, I believe what you're going to hear tonight is both an underlining of the broken promises
00:01:16.940 that Mark Carney has made.
00:01:17.920 We're almost a year into his mandate, and part of this message tonight
00:01:21.140 will be to the general Canadian public who, you know, we feel need to understand
00:01:26.120 exactly where Mark Carney has fallen short from getting a deal on U.S. tariffs,
00:01:30.460 on lowering grocery prices and things like that.
00:01:32.400 But I also think, I expect you're going to see a very uplifting, hopeful message
00:01:37.160 about what's to come.
00:01:38.440 And part of Conservatives' gathering here tonight, we take a great deal of comfort
00:01:42.620 in knowing that we won the debate on the core issues.
00:01:46.240 You know, everybody was telling us the debate on the carbon tax was over.
00:01:49.700 We won that debate.
00:01:50.540 Everybody was telling us that the debate on flooding our streets with harmful drugs was over.
00:01:56.140 We won that argument.
00:01:56.860 So I think you're going to see an inspirational, forward-looking message
00:02:00.520 about how Conservatives can take that case to the Canadian people
00:02:02.980 that authentic Conservative policies will improve the quality of life for all Canadians.
00:02:07.920 And ask the specific question.
00:02:09.540 Look, every time Liberals are in power, we have national unity crises.
00:02:13.360 I'm from Western Canada.
00:02:14.860 I'm from Saskatchewan.
00:02:15.580 I understand why people in Western Canada, particularly Alberta,
00:02:19.160 feel that the federal government in Ottawa does a lot of harm to their province.
00:02:22.860 I mean, even with this MOU on a proposed pipeline perhaps one day coming,
00:02:26.420 there's still conditions in there about a harmful industrial carbon tax.
00:02:30.560 But the message tonight is that the best way to solve those
00:02:33.040 is not to attack those people for feeling upset,
00:02:35.480 but to say how a Conservative government that respects provincial jurisdiction
00:02:39.240 can unite Canada around some core themes.
00:02:41.700 I expect you'll hear that.
00:02:42.960 Now, Scheer's off to a really good start right here.
00:02:45.500 Despite Vashie's attempts at getting him to say something stupid,
00:02:48.960 Scheer stays on course.
00:02:50.780 He refuses to say anything divisive and actually offers a message of unity.
00:02:55.000 The media loves to push division.
00:02:56.720 They love to push controversy.
00:02:58.500 However, Scheer is smart enough not to fall into that trap.
00:03:01.480 So in my opinion, Scheer clearly won round one.
00:03:04.340 Now let's watch round two.
00:03:05.440 You know, the pitch from your party appears to be that this government is the same as the last government
00:03:11.320 when it comes to those issues around resource development, for example.
00:03:15.160 I have a number of quotes here from delegates that myself and my colleagues spoke to today.
00:03:19.120 Kearney is a different animal, so Paliyev will have to change his approach and be more likable
00:03:22.600 because he doesn't need to be so antagonizing.
00:03:24.500 If you want a good government, then you need strong opposition,
00:03:27.680 and opposition needs to work with government, not just criticize.
00:03:30.100 We're in a very difficult situation with the U.S. and need to be working for a solution.
00:03:33.580 There's a lot of things we can do together, and I think we need to cooperate and get things done.
00:03:37.600 It's not fair to characterize Mr. Kearney's actions on resource development as the same,
00:03:41.460 exactly the same as Mr. Trudeau's.
00:03:42.860 They quite simply have not.
00:03:43.860 All right, so you can tell Vashie's getting really desperate here
00:03:46.260 because her first question didn't get the response she wanted.
00:03:48.800 You can see the fear in her eyes.
00:03:51.700 Shira, on the other hand, he's cool and collected.
00:03:54.180 Let's see how he answers this.
00:03:55.780 The results are the same.
00:03:57.100 Now, Shira had the perfect response.
00:03:58.860 Notice how Shira is projecting confidence while Vashie is subtly moving back?
00:04:03.200 That says a lot.
00:04:04.160 She knows Shira is about to verbally pummel her right here.
00:04:07.160 Grab some popcorn and watch this next part.
00:04:09.480 The results are the same, and that's the point.
00:04:11.180 Mark Carney wrote a book defining who he is as a human being called Values.
00:04:15.580 In that book, he talked about leaving oil and gas in the ground,
00:04:18.720 leaving our natural resources in the ground,
00:04:20.900 saying that carbon taxes have to be ever higher.
00:04:23.620 I believe that what happened was liberals realized that liberal policies were unpopular,
00:04:27.760 so they're pretending to adopt some conservative policies,
00:04:30.420 but they're not actually going to see it through.
00:04:31.900 So we'll see.
00:04:32.880 We'll see if a pipeline to the Pacific gets built.
00:04:35.620 We'll see if an industrial carbon tax ever gets dropped.
00:04:38.060 We'll see if real bail reform ever comes in.
00:04:40.720 But right now, what we've seen from the liberals is a lot of lip service,
00:04:45.400 a lot of change in rhetoric, but not really on results.
00:04:47.420 But they've removed the oil and gas, for one example,
00:04:49.620 they've removed the oil and gas emissions cap, for example, through this MOU.
00:04:53.040 If all these other conditions are articulated.
00:04:54.660 Yeah, but they have provided a path to which the tanker ban could be exempted.
00:04:59.580 We'll see.
00:05:00.640 But that's not the same as Trudeau.
00:05:01.880 But it's not the same, it is the same outcome.
00:05:04.200 To this point, it is the same outcome.
00:05:06.380 We'll see what happens.
00:05:07.080 We'll see.
00:05:07.340 I don't, I don't, I'm not holding my breath.
00:05:09.660 I don't believe that Mark Carney believes.
00:05:11.200 And I take him at his word when he wrote that book.
00:05:13.000 When he wrote that book, you know, quoting Karl Marx and talking about his core values
00:05:17.380 and talking about leaving oil and gas in the ground.
00:05:20.440 I believe him.
00:05:21.180 I also believe that liberals are unburdened by principle.
00:05:23.720 And so they will say whatever it takes to get elected.
00:05:25.540 But we'll see what actually comes and the results part of it.
00:05:28.300 And the intentions, the rhetoric, you can't, you can't pay your bills with that.
00:05:31.840 You can't get a job in the oil and gas sector with good intentions or a change of rhetoric.
00:05:36.000 It takes results.
00:05:37.460 And to this point, on the day that we are having this conversation,
00:05:41.020 the rhetoric has changed, but the results happen.
00:05:43.260 That's a great comeback by Scheer right there.
00:05:45.620 Now notice how Vashie starts interrupting him mid-sentence.
00:05:49.180 That's a dirty trick that liberal journalists use.
00:05:52.120 The whole idea is that they try to catch their subject off and get them to say something stupid.
00:05:56.800 Not only is that incredibly rude, but it's a psychological trick to throw your opponent off.
00:06:01.840 Scheer has a lot of experience in dealing with journalists like Vashie.
00:06:05.020 So he was prepared for that.
00:06:06.360 Now it's safe to say that Scheer also won round two.
00:06:09.320 Now round three is where it completely falls apart and Vashie gets caught lying on live television.
00:06:14.200 Before I show you this, I want to remind you I'm being heavily censored on YouTube.
00:06:17.760 If you see this part of the video, let me know in the comment section.
00:06:20.440 Tell me what city you're coming from.
00:06:22.020 Give me a quick like and make sure you're still subscribed.
00:06:24.960 All right, let's check out the action.
00:06:26.520 This bill is the bail reform bill was introduced in late October.
00:06:29.920 The hate crime bill that I know you have, you know, very specific policy concerns about
00:06:34.020 was introduced in early October.
00:06:36.480 There's evidence in committee of one of your MPs, for example, filibustering and talking
00:06:40.320 about cats and dogs in order to delay the debate around that.
00:06:44.100 There is evidence that on certain instances your party has used the tools available to it,
00:06:49.960 which I get parties in opposition do.
00:06:52.280 But given the stuff that I'm hearing from your delegate about the collaboration,
00:06:55.760 seems to run counter to a message you're trying to sell at the same time.
00:06:58.880 Okay, so in case you didn't catch that, Vashti is lying right now.
00:07:02.440 You notice Shira's shaking his head while she talks.
00:07:04.900 She's slightly backing away because she's uncomfortable.
00:07:07.320 You can really tell by Shira's body language that he's confident and ready to push back.
00:07:10.920 Let's see how he responds.
00:07:12.160 That evidence is hearsay and is rejected because it's not true.
00:07:16.300 Notice how she immediately interrupts Shira right here?
00:07:18.660 She doesn't even let him answer.
00:07:20.300 That's because she got called out and Shira had the perfect response.
00:07:22.980 Now let's watch him finish her.
00:07:25.000 Ah, the cats and dogs comment.
00:07:27.040 But what we were calling for, and there are 19, now 20 examples of this,
00:07:31.300 where we came to committee and said, look, we're not going to agree on Bill C-9.
00:07:35.040 Liberals want to censor religious speech and text.
00:07:37.900 Let's park that.
00:07:39.080 Let's save our dispute on that to pass the bail reform bill,
00:07:42.700 which we have long been calling for.
00:07:44.260 19 times the Liberals refused.
00:07:45.960 It took our leader, Pierre Polyev, writing a formal letter to the Prime Minister,
00:07:49.260 specifically outlining that finally last week after months of liberal delay,
00:07:54.260 that agreement was reached and now that bill will proceed.
00:07:56.820 It was the liberal choice.
00:07:57.860 But why can't you debate C-9 and have your opposition to it
00:08:01.400 and then eventually lead it to go to a vote?
00:08:03.680 Liberals control the timelines and committee.
00:08:06.280 Liberals, it's a liberal chair.
00:08:07.980 So it was a liberal choice to have a long and drawn-out debate
00:08:12.220 on something that is very divisive for Canadians
00:08:14.660 instead of actually tackling bail reform.
00:08:17.800 That was a liberal choice.
00:08:18.980 That was not a conservative choice.
00:08:20.220 So you saw that right there.
00:08:22.020 Scheer remained calm.
00:08:23.480 He resisted Vashti's attacks and pushed back with cold, hard facts.
00:08:28.180 Scheer knocked Vashti out of the ring right there and gave her a few broken ribs.
00:08:32.280 And if you notice, Vashti interrupted him not only once, but twice.
00:08:36.260 And that's very telling.
00:08:37.440 Now, it's stuff like this that makes the average Canadian not trust the media.
00:08:41.120 As you see, the liberal media, they give softball questions to their friends
00:08:45.560 and the liberal government, and they use dirty tricks to try and smear conservatives.
00:08:50.520 The good news is that the public, thanks to people like me, are slowly waking up.
00:08:55.180 And key word is slowly, because we still have a lot of work to do.
00:08:58.040 Now, if you remember, CTV literally received millions of dollars of taxpayer money
00:09:02.600 from the liberal government.
00:09:04.100 And it really shows when you watch interviews like that.
00:09:06.560 You can tell the media, for the most part, they're less interested in presenting facts
00:09:10.740 and more interested in presenting a certain narrative.
00:09:13.580 And the sad part is their propaganda is very effective.
00:09:16.640 But a huge shout out to Scheer for winning that battle.
00:09:19.480 Scheer is one of the best when it comes to these sorts of interviews.
00:09:22.340 Not as good as Polly Ev, but still really good.
00:09:25.020 But anyway, I hope you enjoyed today's episode.
00:09:27.180 Thanks for tuning in.
00:09:28.300 I love you all.
00:09:29.280 Talk to you real soon, patriots.
00:09:30.760 I love you all.
