00:00:06.080 he went completely nuclear on the Liberals' immigration policies. Let's take a look at that.
00:00:11.540 Ten years of radical open borders policies and mass migration have undermined confidence in
00:00:17.700 what was the best system of immigration anywhere in the world. The Liberals imposed this radical
00:00:22.660 approach without any care, consideration, or thought. They have allowed people to come to
00:00:27.780 this country and get visitor visas and other permits to enter Canada without actually performing any
00:00:34.600 criminal background checks. To speed things up, because we are short-staffed, we're allowing
00:00:39.660 people into the country without first doing that security screening. And so from your perspective
00:00:44.260 and your members' perspective, this is not a good thing? This is a terrible thing. If someone is not
00:00:49.580 a citizen, not a Canadian, and commits a crime, then they should be shown the door because becoming
00:00:55.180 a citizen to this country requires good law-abiding behavior that will protect the well-being and the
00:01:01.460 interests of this country. The Liberals' open border policies have allowed dangerous radicals to flood
00:01:06.820 this country, and that's bad news for native-born Canadians. The youth have problems getting jobs.
00:01:13.360 Women don't feel safe in their own communities, and elderly people are often victims of crime,
00:01:19.060 and immigration is fueling all of this. I don't care what anyone says. Canada, my country? It's not a
00:01:26.080 flopose. Living here is a privilege. It's not a right, and it's time that we had a government that
00:01:31.740 finally understood that. So to explain what happened with the immigration system in a little bit more
00:01:36.600 detail, I'm going to show you a video from the National Post, and this came out earlier this year,
00:01:41.420 and then I'm going to give you some more commentary at the end, so stick around.
00:01:44.640 Here is a chart published by the OECD showing Canadian immigration levels, and here is a
00:01:49.500 similar chart published by the Bank of Canada. You may notice something weird right around here.
00:01:55.040 This is the point when one of the most well-managed and enviable immigration systems in the world
00:01:59.800 went to Cuckoo Town, and we're all dealing with the consequences.
00:02:04.600 First, some context. Canada invented what is now known as the points-based immigration system.
00:02:10.340 Immigration systems, including in Canada, generally used to be run along ethnic lines,
00:02:14.900 you'd pick and choose where your immigrants came from based on their country of origin.
00:02:19.340 That's why Alberta is full of Ukrainians. The government of the day said,
00:02:23.140 those Ukrainians like cold weather. We'll fill the prairies with them.
00:02:27.280 Starting in 1967, Canada switches it up. Now the rule is, we don't care where you come from,
00:02:32.840 so long as you're a high-skilled individual who we can trust to contribute to the country.
00:02:37.800 How do you figure that out? Points. Do you speak English or French?
00:02:42.000 Do you have a medical degree? Are you an entrepreneur? How good are you at engineering?
00:02:47.620 This, more than anything, was why Canada has traditionally bucked the trend among Western
00:02:52.800 nations of having any kind of mainstream anti-immigration movement. But right around here
00:02:59.280 is when Canada takes the core promise of its immigration system and throws it out the window.
00:03:04.020 This bump is due almost entirely to an explosion in non-conventional immigration streams.
00:03:09.940 International students, temporary migrant workers. We had a massive spike in people
00:03:14.200 claiming asylum, increasingly under suspicious circumstances.
00:03:18.700 Basically, overnight, the average Canadian immigrant became younger, lower-skilled,
00:03:23.360 and far less screened. And there's way more of them.
00:03:26.120 And no one else has done anything like this. Canada's population growth during this period
00:03:32.080 was 3%, one of the highest on earth. In the rest of the OECD, a club that effectively comprises
00:03:38.080 the other countries of the developed world, population growth has stayed at about 0.5% per year.
00:03:43.200 The US, France, the UK, they were bringing in immigrants at a rate that was just one-sixth
00:03:48.500 of what Canada was doing. The most noticeable effect is that this took a housing affordability crisis
00:03:53.860 and made it way worse. Canada only builds about 200,000 new homes per year,
00:03:58.760 way less than what would be required to shelter the influx. And so rents and home prices have spiked.
00:04:04.280 You've seen a similar phenomenon in youth unemployment. With thousands of new temporary
00:04:08.020 foreign workers working in the retail and restaurant sector, Canadian teens are encountering
00:04:13.100 a deficit of entry-level positions. Added to that, we're seeing things that haven't really
00:04:18.620 happened in Canada before. Job fairs being overwhelmed by newcomers looking for work,
00:04:23.360 homeless shelters filled almost entirely with asylum seekers and other recent immigrants.
00:04:28.080 It wasn't too long ago that one of the cohorts least likely to wind up homeless
00:04:32.080 were recent immigrants. What Canada did was to go from managed integration of high-skilled newcomers
00:04:38.360 to a sudden exponential spike of people overwhelming the system. And it did so remarkably quickly.
00:04:45.100 Now, Tristan Hopper at the National Post, he did a fantastic job of explaining this.
00:04:49.280 In summary, the Trudeau government and now the Kearney government completely ruined or at least hurt
00:04:55.680 this country by letting in too many immigrants, specifically too many of the wrong immigrants.
00:05:01.120 Now, just to be clear, in case anyone wants to get my words mixed up, I don't hate immigrants.
00:05:06.120 And I don't want you to hate immigrants either. There's nothing wrong with being a person that's
00:05:10.680 born outside of Canada. That's not the problem. The problem simply is that Canada is full and we don't
00:05:17.760 have any more room for low wage immigrants. We don't need more cab drivers. We don't need more
00:05:23.680 people bicycling around and doing Uber Eats. We don't need more people working at Tim Hortons.
00:05:29.360 We have a lot of young people and a lot of old people that can fill those jobs.
00:05:33.440 And if employers can't find people to work those jobs, I got a great idea. Try increasing your wages
00:05:40.160 and try just for once to treat your employees like human beings. There's an idea.
00:05:45.600 And I'll say it one more time. Canada is tired of low wage, low skilled immigrants.
00:05:51.040 And that's not including all the gang members, terrorists and just vagrants that come into this
00:05:56.880 country and continue to come to this country. Thanks to Trudeau and now Mark Carney's liberal
00:06:02.480 open border policies. I've had enough. And most Canadians have had enough. You look at the polls,
00:06:08.640 Canadians by and large, they're done. And that's why I'm glad Polyev is saying the quiet part out loud.
00:06:14.000 Yes, I know. I know. He's talked about this before. That is true. But he's getting spicier in the way
00:06:20.000 he delivers his message. And I think we need to see more of this. This is the Polyev that's going to win
00:06:25.680 the next election. Based on my experience on social media, a lot of people really care about immigration.
00:06:31.680 They're just afraid to talk about it because they don't want to be seen as racist or xenophobic.
00:06:36.560 As a Canadian, there's nothing racist or xenophobic about criticizing immigration.
00:06:41.760 As a Canadian, it's your right to do that. And I want to remind you of that. People call me all
00:06:46.640 sorts of names for putting these videos out. But you know what? I don't care. And you shouldn't
00:06:51.600 either. Because like I said, I'm not a racist. I'm not a xenophobe. I just believe in putting Canada
00:06:57.440 first. And that's why I support Polyev. And that's why almost half the country feels the same as me.
00:07:03.040 Like I've said in previous videos, I truly believe that Polyev will win. He just needs to stay focused
00:07:07.760 next time. He needs to focus on lowering the income tax, lowering taxes in general, and fixing
00:07:13.520 the immigration issue. If he can put forward a platform that addresses both of those issues,
00:07:18.480 he's going to win. He's going to win bigger than any conservative in Canada has ever won before.
