Max Genest - Canada's Vile 'Hate' Law Just Took Effect Today

Bill C-9 is officially in effect, and it's a doosey law that could see right-wingers go to jail for expressing hatred against people based on their race, ethnicity, nationality, colour, religion, sexuality, age, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

00:00:00.000 Today, Canada's infamous hate crime law, Bill C9, is officially in effect. So what does this mean?

00:00:05.940 What is going to happen? Let's go over the bill. Funnily enough, the only part that is very clear

00:00:11.380 is where it states that if you commit hatred against people based on race, national or ethnic

00:00:16.820 origin, language, color, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation,

00:00:23.180 or gender identity, you can be jailed or fined. From there on out, it gets extremely vague,

00:00:27.960 and they did it on purpose.

00:00:29.580 Like, how do they define hate?

00:00:31.460 They say it means expressing vilification and detestation.

00:00:35.340 That tells us nothing.

00:00:37.260 Those words are just synonymous for hate.

00:00:39.780 So the definition is useless.

00:00:42.340 Now, this is the really scary part.

00:00:45.140 They're not clear about where this applies.

00:00:47.640 Real life, online, it's basically both.

00:00:50.780 They target what they call religious or cultural public places

00:00:54.320 without defining what that even means.

00:00:56.620 And because everything is posted online, they don't need to charge you retroactively.

00:01:01.820 They can charge you reactively because your posts are still up.

00:01:05.660 When you read the bill, it looks like a Redditor wrote it.

00:01:08.960 They include a whole section on going after people who display symbols of listed entities,

00:01:13.920 then launch into their crusade against Nazis.

00:01:16.620 They mention no other symbols, just those tied to a defunct political party from 80 years ago.

00:01:21.600 This is so obviously the government going after right-wingers to silence and prosecute them.

00:01:27.900 And as someone who does political commentary online, I speak very negatively about mass

00:01:32.440 migration and multiculturalism. I'm a nationalist. I'm a re-migrationist. I openly call for people

00:01:39.000 who are not Canadian to be deported back to their homelands. But I'm going to keep posting. 1.00

00:01:44.720 I'm not going to stop talking. I'm not going to lock down my account. I'm not going to delete

00:01:49.440 any of my content. And if I go to jail, so be it. This entire bill is the government getting

00:01:55.440 cocky. They are in way over their heads. I say, try it. Actually do it. Jail me. Jail others like

00:02:02.800 me. See how that's going to go for you. Run mass political prosecutions over no, no words.

00:02:08.280 I dare Justice Minister Sean Fraser to do it. History is not on your side here. How do you

00:02:13.540 think Mao Zedong, Vladimir Lenin, Pol Pot, Benito Mussolini, Fidel Castro, or Adolf Hitler got into

00:02:20.360 power. Every single one of these men rose during periods of severe economic hardship, political

00:02:25.960 instability, war, or social unrest. So keep pushing these prosecutions and you will hand power to

00:02:32.980 Canadian nationalists. We will politicize every single one of them because as far as I'm concerned,

00:02:39.020 they're paving the way for us into power we are going to take back what is ours we are going to 1.00

00:02:44.740 implement remigration we are going to send millions home we are going to secure the future for our 0.98

00:02:49.600 descendants we are going to honor our ancestors and forefathers nothing will stop us nothing will 0.61

00:02:55.400 get in our way long live canada
