00:06:03.080 But is that the same thing here with the Gog and Magog war, or is this just that people's interests are drawn to it?

00:06:12.240 And also people have very strong opinions because, as we'll see, this is not clear cut exactly what this is and, as importantly, when it happens.

00:09:35.940 In some translations, probably in, I think, in the King James and New King James, it says the chief prince of Rosh, Meshach and Tubal.

00:09:46.620 He says, And I will turn thee back and put hooks in thy jaws and bring thee forth of thee and all thy armies, horsemen, horsemen, with, you know, armor, blah, blah, blah.

00:09:54.080 He starts naming nations, Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya, with all of them, with shield and helmet, Gohmr and all his bands, the house of Tagarmah in the northern quarters, or the uttermost north, and all his bands, and many people with thee.

00:10:05.740 Be prepared, prepare thyself, and all thy company, or symbol against thee, and be thou regarded unto them.

00:10:13.180 After many days, y'all shall be visited, and in the latter years, you shall come to the land that was brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people against the mountains of Israel, which have always been a waste, but is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely, all of them.

00:14:27.720 There's a couple of things I want to go to where it says the burial of Gog.

00:14:32.520 Okay.

00:14:32.880 And it shall come to pass in that day, that will give Gog a place there of graves in Israel, in the valley of the passengers on the East Sea, which is the Dead Sea.

00:14:44.620 And they shall stop the noses of the passengers, and they shall bury Gog and all his manias, and they shall be, they will call it the valley of Plom and Gog.

00:14:50.740 In seven months, the house of Israel burying them, and they shall cleanse the land.

00:14:53.680 And yet all the people, all the people, they shall bury them, and they shall be known, just shall be to them renowned the day and glorified, saith the Lord.

00:15:03.360 And they shall sever men of continual employment, passing through the land.

00:15:08.480 And basically, they're going to spend seven years burning, we talked about they're going to spend seven years burning their fuel.

00:15:13.620 And go all the way to the bottom, all the way to the end of the chapter.

00:15:16.660 Okay, and Israel says, I will set my glory among the heathen, and the heathen shall know the judgment I've executed.

00:15:27.500 I'm just going to paraphrase this.

00:15:28.540 Basically, they're going to know he's God because of what he's done for Israel, and he led them out of captivity, and he's gathered them into their own land, which they have no more, and in his peace, pouring out his spirit upon them.

00:15:39.520 All right, so let me just summarize all of this.

00:15:43.400 So what's happening here?

00:15:44.480 There is some entity or person or individual called Gog of a land of Magog, and they are going to, this Gog of the land of Magog and a coalition of nations, some of which we can know from this passage, and some of which we'll have to kind of infer from the table of nations in Genesis, who they are all coming into Israel.

00:16:08.500 Let's take a step back and look at the context of this.

00:16:11.420 So Ezekiel was a prophet, and he was a contemporary of Daniel.

00:16:16.380 They were both prophets during the Babylonian captivity, about 400-ish B.C.

00:16:21.380 Daniel was the prophet to the southern tribes, who were captive in Babylon, and Ezekiel was in the northern part, after Babylon conquered Assyrian.

00:16:31.440 Maybe the Assyrians took the ten northern tribes captive, then Babylon, under Nebuchadnezzar, conquered Assyria.

00:16:37.740 And so they're all in the Babylonian empire, even though you have the, I'm not going to get to the whole ten lost tribes thing, which I've already explained why I think that's, there's no evidence that those tribes were ever lost.

00:16:46.960 They were all, they were all captive.

00:16:48.580 They were all released under Persia, and they were all allowed to go back to Israel, all 12 tribes.

00:16:52.980 So this whole scenario that they just dispersed and went north and magically went from being Middle Eastern Jews to blonde-haired, blue-eyed Caucasians who started America.

00:17:03.800 Anyway, that's, oh, I'm not going to go there anymore.

00:17:05.880 Problem is, so here's the thing.

00:17:06.940 So Ezekiel was the prophet to that tribe.

00:17:08.820 And so at this point in God's mind, he's kind of, he's had it with Israel.

00:17:15.100 That's why he let them go into captivity.

00:17:16.660 They had their land.

00:17:17.580 They had their kings.

00:17:18.840 God blessed them, and they just turned against many worship idols.

00:17:21.840 So that's why God basically abandoned them.

00:17:23.980 And so Ezekiel and Daniel are really, where Jehovah, God, is focused on the future.

00:17:28.200 He's giving prophecies about things that are going to happen.

00:17:31.300 He's like, you guys screw it up.

00:17:32.920 I'm looking for, I'm looking towards the future now.

00:17:35.660 So that's, so that's the contemporary audience, our ancient Israelites.

00:17:41.300 So he's talking about this person or this entity, Gog, of the land of Magog, and they are going to,

00:17:48.360 bring this, this coalition of nations.

00:17:51.220 So something we know, it says Persia.

00:17:52.820 We know Persia is modern Iran.

00:17:54.920 It's that area.

00:17:56.560 Ethiopia.

00:17:57.640 Ethiopia is not, in that time, was not just the nation of Ethiopia.

00:18:01.840 It was basically Eastern Africa.

00:18:03.880 Ethiopia was a huge swath of land, basically from Egypt, well, below Egypt, all the way down to Southern East Africa.

00:18:12.320 It's like Sudan and all those places today.

00:18:14.880 Libya, we know Libya, Libya is not just like the Muammar Gaddafi Libya, it's basically Northern Africa.

00:18:22.260 And then when you look at some of the other nations, it talks about Gomer.

00:18:26.360 Gomer is, I believe it's Turkey.

00:18:30.000 That's what most scholars say is Gomer.

00:18:32.020 And keep in mind, Gomer, Magog, Meshach, Tubal, all these, the reason that we are not sure where all of them are is because we keep changing the names of nations.

00:18:42.120 And changing the borders of nations.

00:18:43.820 So God is talking, God is giving you the names of the tribes, the ancestral tribes of all these people.

00:18:50.500 And we know vaguely where they went in the table of nations in Genesis chapter 10.

00:18:56.340 You know, when Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, they, you know, all their descendants spread all over the world.

00:19:05.280 And Shem or the Semitic people, Semitic people are mostly the Middle Easterners.

00:19:10.540 Generally speaking, there's a lot of intermarriage, but generally they were in the Middle East.

00:19:14.740 But Japheth, he, his descendants kind of mostly went north.

00:19:20.260 So they are the Greeks, the Romans, the progenitors, Russia, the progenitors of the European and Eurasian nations.

00:19:28.040 And then you have Ham, whose descendants went into Egypt.

00:19:32.600 Most of Africa is the descendants of Ham, but also, ironically, Asia is our descendants of Ham.

00:19:41.040 So you have the African people and the Asian people have a common ancestor, which is really odd because you can find people who look different, more different.

00:19:48.440 But it's so funny, a little side story.

00:19:51.940 A job I had, wow, over 10 years ago.

00:19:54.380 Yeah, I was, I actually was consulting with the, the Chinese community hospital in, here in Northern California.

00:20:08.560 But we, and what we thought, what we thought was, found that was interesting is that they, we have certain genetic things in common.

00:20:16.240 Like, both of our races are pretty much lactose intolerant.

00:20:21.260 We, our cultures are, are, are rice-based as opposed to grain-based.

00:20:28.040 African food has, has, is rice-based as far as the main carbohydrate.

00:20:34.060 We, our bodies are not designed to, to, to really digest cereal grains very well.

01:15:09.260 He's coming there against Israel because it looks like he just wants to, to, to, to conquer

01:15:45.200 you know, regions who are also the supernatural, uh, resurrected saints.

01:15:49.080 I don't think anyone's going to be doubting that there is a God, especially not Israel,

01:15:54.440 because I guess this is so that Israel will know that there is a God, but again, but if

01:15:57.980 it means just reinforcing that I'm God, because I'm doing what I said I'm going to do, that's

01:16:03.120 But again, that doesn't really fit what, um, what Ezekiel is, is, um, has in his passages

01:16:09.280 in 30 and 39.

01:16:11.060 And lastly, why would they need to burn weapons for seven years for fuel after the millennium?

01:16:17.040 Cause as we find right after the millennium, there looks like there's, then you have the

01:16:21.060 great white throne judgment and then there's eternity.

01:16:23.340 I don't see why we be hanging out for another seven years after the millennial reign, because

01:16:30.940 Now, maybe there's some scenario where, you know, when the millennium ends, there's not,
