00:01:35.200 bro that intro is hard first time seeing it okay so tonight we're going to talk about uh
00:02:05.200 the story of moses at the burning bush there's a story that people think they know about but they
00:02:09.920 maybe might not really know about because they think that uh this is potentially like the first
00:02:15.040 time that moses has engaged with god or the first time that moses has really ever heard of god or
00:02:20.880 been around god and we're going to read this we're going to read the account in exodus 3 but then
00:02:25.200 we're going to look at what stephen says about it in act 7 and then you may look at this passage a
00:02:30.800 little bit different and then we're going to pull something out of it that's an application to real
00:02:34.400 life because that's what you're doing every time you're reading the scripture remember jesus said
00:02:37.920 any man who hears these sayings of mine and do with them that's a wise man any man who hears these
00:02:44.240 sayings of mine and do with them not regardless of if he has good theology or doctrine doesn't matter
00:02:49.840 that's a foolish man so we're going to try to read this passage a couple passages and pull something
00:02:54.560 out of it for an application to real life so i'm going to start in exodus chapter 3 verse 1.
00:02:58.960 now moses kept the flock of jethro his father-in-law the priest of midian and he led the flock to the
00:03:05.600 back side of the desert and came to the mountain of god even to horeb so just keep in mind uh moses
00:03:11.600 is 80 now he spent 40 years in egypt right then he spent 40 years in somewhat solitude on the back
00:03:19.360 side of the desert so he's 80 now and the angel of the lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire
00:03:24.960 out of the midst of a bush and he looked and behold the bush burned with fire and the bush was not
00:03:30.320 consumed and moses said i will now turn aside and see this great sight why the bush is not burnt
00:03:36.080 and when the lord saw that he turned aside to see then god called unto him moses moses and he said
00:03:43.280 here am i and he said draw not draw not nigh hither put out thy shoes from out thy feet for the place
00:03:49.200 where on thou stand is holy ground so this is the call of god at the burning bush to moses right
00:03:55.840 something i want to key in on maybe you noticed it is that it was when he turned aside this was a big
00:04:00.880 deal right this bush is on fire it's burning maybe he's seen a bush burning before but something
00:04:06.400 peculiar is happening and he doesn't just brush it off he's not just in a hurry there's a subtle thing
00:04:12.240 he says you know what i'm going to explore this a little bit further i'm going to go a little bit
00:04:15.520 further with this now watch how uh watch how stephen tells this story in acts chapter 7
00:04:30.640 watch how stephen says this it says uh chapter 7 verse 22 and moses was learned in all the wisdom
00:04:37.120 of the egyptians and was mighty in words and in deeds and when he was full 40 years old it came into
00:04:42.800 his heart to visit his brethren the children of israel and seeing one of them suffer wrong he
00:04:47.360 defended him and avenged him that was oppressed and smote the egyptian for he supposed his bread
00:04:53.520 his brethren would have understood how that god by his hand would deliver him but they understood not
00:04:59.600 most people miss this this is a major major verse in scripture moses supposed that his that he was their
00:05:07.440 savior that's what it said read the old uh commentaries some of them say like moses had
00:05:14.400 an anger problem if you study moses life he only had an anger problem when god was angry like when
00:05:18.480 god was angry moses was angry because he spent time with god and that's just what happens this says that
00:05:24.720 he knew that he was the deliverer of the of the israelites of the hebrews out of egypt he was he knew
00:05:31.440 that he was going to rescue this slave nation that was inside of egypt it just looks like he jumped
00:05:36.720 the gun that's what it says that's what that's what it says in verse 25 he supposed his brethren
00:05:42.640 would have understood how that god by his hand by moses hand would deliver them so there's a big
00:05:48.480 message in this man this is what i'm saying like the burning bush was not moses first encounter with god
00:05:54.160 or first access to god or first knowledge of god it's nothing like that like he clearly knew his call
00:06:00.480 in his destiny he just jumped the gun on god but it says in the next day he showed himself unto them
00:06:07.680 as they strove and would have set them at one again saying sirs your brethren why do you wrong one to
00:06:12.800 another but he that did his neighbor wrong thrust him away saying who made you a ruler and a judge over
00:06:17.920 us will you kill me as you did the egyptian yesterday then fled moses at this saying and was a stranger
00:06:23.680 in the land of midian where he begat two sons and when 40 years were expired expired there appeared to
00:06:29.280 him in the wilderness of mount sinai an angel of the lord in the flame of fire in a bush when moses
00:06:34.720 saw it he wondered at the sight and as he drew near to behold it the voice of the lord came unto him
00:06:40.720 so look at it in verse 31 it says as he drew near just like what we read back in exodus 3 when he turned
00:06:47.280 aside and so the main point i'm trying to make here is that there's these subtle things in our life these
00:06:52.560 calls of god they're subtle they're subtle like you're busy with the facebook and the tv shows and the
00:06:57.920 cardashians and you're doing your thing and there's stuff happening and you're just like ignoring it
00:07:03.440 right but they're these subtle things and when you turn aside to take it in to go see what's going on
00:07:09.440 when you do that that's when god's ready to talk that's when god's ready to engage and i'm just trying
00:07:13.840 to encourage people to not blow that off so i'm going to just make this real with like a couple of
00:07:18.960 stories so one of them is like uh this time i met the dude reinhardt bonky i don't know if you guys
00:07:25.680 know reinhardt bonky but i used to run in these prophetic circles and they were saying we're going
00:07:29.760 out to winter garden i think it was or winter park one of the winter cities and they're like we're going
00:07:35.280 to see reinhardt bonky so i kind of invited myself like i'm accustomed to do so i said you guys are going
00:07:40.160 to see reinhardt bonky i want to go so i went we get to this house and uh it's like this nice house
00:07:45.760 and i'm just at the house there's all these people it's all set up everybody's having a
00:07:49.120 good time fellowshipping doing their thing and i think i actually was outside like playing ping
00:07:54.800 pong with the kid at the house because i wasn't really like vibing with anybody so i was just
00:07:57.840 chilling playing ping pong and i look inside and there's bonky inside i was like no wait that's
00:08:02.800 reinhardt bonky so i so we come inside he sits down he gives this message on uh on actually the
00:08:09.040 baptism of the holy spirit and uh the day of pentecost and specifically on the part that uh the
00:08:14.080 flame of fire was on everybody's head it wasn't on one guy's head and you had to go get it from
00:08:18.240 somebody that everybody uh had their own flame so i'm chilling i'm kind of like in the back there's
00:08:24.560 like a they're all in the living room and i'm like in the kitchen area kind of just like looking through
00:08:29.440 uh like a little doorway i didn't have like a good seat i was way at the back so i'm just watching
00:08:34.480 this whole thing he wraps up his message and then he says does anybody have any questions and so i'm
00:08:39.760 thinking like let's go like that like this is the best part of the show right now like he's like he
00:08:44.320 just asked if anybody wants to ask any questions people start like moving around like getting in
00:08:48.720 their purse and like talking to each other and like getting on their phone like getting up and walking
00:08:53.760 out so i like i just walked up and sat right down in front and i asked him i was like 10 feet away
00:08:59.200 from him i said hey man can you can you talk about the time you met george jeffries so i don't know
00:09:04.320 if you guys know that story but it's a rad story so bonky says yeah yeah yeah i'll tell you about that
00:09:08.400 story so he says man i was in london and i walked by this house and i see this uh i see this mailbox
00:09:16.240 and it says george jeffries and i think nah it can't be him so he just walks past then he comes
00:09:21.680 back he says nah it's got to be a common name in london i don't know so he just he walks back in he
00:09:27.440 comes back the third time he goes i'm gonna just go check it out he turned aside to see so he goes up
00:09:33.200 to the house he knocks on the door the lady answers he says hey does george jeffries live here
00:09:38.640 she says uh yeah he says duh george jeffries that uh was so instrumental in the welsh revival
00:09:44.560 she says yeah he says is is he here she says yeah he says can i come in and see him and then she says no
00:09:52.240 absolutely not then he said he heard a voice in the background say let him in
00:09:58.640 so bonky comes in prays with george jeffries he said he got a blessing from him like the way a
00:10:04.320 father blesses a son and it was just a rad story the way he told it then he uh
00:10:12.240 he says you know what a lot of people think i got the anointing from george jeffries
00:10:17.040 but i didn't get the anointing what i did get from him and they look right at me he goes was the baton
00:10:22.720 and then he goes does that answer your question and that was just hard to me man it reminded me of
00:10:29.920 this story with moses bro it was like you just you got to do the thing man imagine if he just walks
00:10:35.040 past the mailbox and this is when he's young he's like 19 or 20 imagine he just walks past the mailbox
00:10:40.000 nothing happens man like people are afraid to like do the subtle thing you got to do the subtle thing
00:10:45.360 in my own life when i was 16 my neighbor was a carpet installer and i was riding my bike home from
00:10:50.400 the na meeting i was like 16 and he had all the tools in the back of his truck right so i so i was
00:10:56.720 like i should probably go tell him man people been stealing stuff out of cars in the neighborhood i
00:11:00.480 should probably go tell this dude about getting his tools out of his truck and uh so i was like
00:11:06.960 i don't know same thing same thing man so i go up to the door i knock on his door i said hey man
00:11:11.280 uh just want to give you a heads up like your tools are all locked up in your truck
00:11:15.200 and uh you know people have been stealing stuff in the neighborhood lately just want to give you a heads
00:11:19.360 up man and uh he just kind of looked at me and so i just kind of kept talking i was like yeah man
00:11:25.200 my brother busted these guys stealing stuff out of cars the other day he just kept staring at me
00:11:30.000 so i just kept talking i was like yeah man he tackled some dudes over in fred's yard the other
00:11:33.440 day then like called the cops like got him and then the dude goes man i'm so high right now he's like
00:11:40.720 bro you want to come inside so i was like yeah yeah let's go so i come inside i'm just vibing with the
00:11:45.040 dude he's my neighbor and uh he's like what's your story man i was like well i'm in homeschool
00:11:49.760 because i'm on probation and i just don't want to if i go to regular school uh like if i miss classes
00:11:55.680 i'm going to violate probation and do weekends at juvenile hall and he's like you got a job and i
00:11:59.440 was like no man i'm looking for a job he goes are you a bum and then i was like no no i'm not a
00:12:04.800 bomb man i'm just a kid he's like you don't have a job what you don't want to work and i was like no
00:12:08.320 i want to work i'm looking for a job he goes you better have your ass out in the driveway tomorrow
00:12:12.720 morning at 5 30 and i was like oh okay cool so like uh like we'll just do like an interview
00:12:19.840 and he like starts walking me out he's like have your ass in the driveway at 5 30 tomorrow morning
00:12:24.080 and then when he right before he closed the door he goes tell your little mommy to pack your lunch
00:12:27.920 and he closed the door dude that's how my career started bro like that job has is what's paid for my
00:12:34.400 entire life paid for my wife to stay home paid to like raise my kids the only reason i even met my
00:12:40.000 wife is because i worked with her uncle and her brothers like in the flooring industry like that
00:12:44.720 job that moment like that thing of just going and knocking on the door like set the trajectory
00:12:50.960 for my entire life man and it's just such a subtle thing dude and i just think that people are missing
00:12:56.480 out on like these little subtle things and that's what i want to encourage you about is just in this
00:13:01.920 passage like that's what it's talking about is when he turned aside i'll show you another story
00:13:05.760 i'll show you another story that'll make it real two kings uh chapter 7 verses 3 through 16. this is
00:13:13.920 another rad passage a lot of people don't know about
00:13:27.440 okay check this out
00:13:31.680 are we good
00:13:35.760 and there were four leprous men at the entering into the gate and they said one to another why
00:13:39.840 sit here until we die okay here's here's what's going on syria's got israel surrounded so the nation
00:13:46.560 of israel is within the gates within the walls there's famine inside uh i sent you guys a story
00:13:53.040 the other day when they were eating their own babies you're like what wtf yeah that's the story
00:13:57.040 they're eating their own babies inside the walls like it's all out famine and war it's just desperate
00:14:03.120 desperate times man so these four lepers who are like beggars in that day because beggars back then
00:14:09.520 was like people who couldn't work like you couldn't do a job and then beg in that day like like today
00:14:14.560 you could beg for money but you could also work it it just wasn't like it back then so these guys
00:14:18.400 were lepers they couldn't work they're beggars they're completely helpless they say their mindset
00:14:23.040 is like look if we go inside the city we die if we lay here we die in the heat of battle your squad

00:15:23.200 free of charge let's just go out to the syrian army man take our chances like let's just see what
00:15:30.720 happens let's just turn aside right so there were four leprous men at the entering into the gate and
00:15:36.000 they said one to another why sit we here until we die if we say we will enter into the city then the
00:15:42.080 famine is in the city and we shall die there and if we sit still here we die also now therefore come and
00:15:47.200 let us fall into the host of the syrians if they save us alive we shall live and if they kill us
00:15:51.360 we shall die and they rose up in the twilight to go out into the camp of the syrians and when they
00:15:57.200 were come to the uttermost part of the camp of syria behold there was no man there because the
00:16:02.240 lord had made the host of the syrians to hear a noise of chariots and a noise of horses even the
00:16:07.440 noise of a great host so god sent this sound to the syrian army of like this incredible army just
00:16:14.000 marching in on them and they heard it in the night right and they freak out and they run
00:16:20.080 they said one to another lo the king of israel has hired against us the king of the hittites and the
00:16:24.080 kings of the egyptians to come upon us wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight and left their
00:16:28.880 tents and their horses and their asses even the camp as it was and fled for their life and when these
00:16:33.440 lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp they went into one tent and did eat and drink and
00:16:38.080 carried their silver and gold and raiment and went in and hid it and came again and entered into another
00:16:44.000 there also and went and hid it then they said one to another we do not well this day is a day
00:16:49.600 of good tidings and we hold our peace if we tarry till the morning light some mischief will come upon
00:16:54.560 us now therefore come that we may go and tell the king's household they're saying man we got blessed
00:16:58.720 we've been sitting there at the gate just slowly dying we came out here we have unlimited gold silver
00:17:03.840 food clothes we have all these things let's not just keep it to ourself we better go tell everybody
00:17:09.520 you better go tell everybody yeah so just notice just notice man like your life and what you do
00:17:15.520 with like deciding to do a thing or not deciding to do a thing affects everybody else too we've
00:17:20.640 talked about that before we talked about that so they came and called unto the porter of the city
00:17:26.480 and they told them saying we came to the camp of the syrians and behold there was no man there
00:17:30.640 neither voice of man but horses tied and asses tied in the tents as they were and he called the
00:17:35.440 porters and they told it to the king's house and the king arose in the night and said unto his
00:17:39.680 servants i will now show you what the syrians have done to us they know that we're hungry therefore
00:17:44.960 they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field saying when they come out of the city we
00:17:49.040 shall catch them alive and get into the city so the king thinks it's a trap but one of his servants
00:17:53.840 said let's let's take some i pray you five of the horses that remain which are left in the city
00:17:58.960 behold they are as all the multitude of israel that are left in it behold i say they are even as all
00:18:03.600 the multitude of the israelites that are consumed and let us send and see they're desperate they're
00:18:09.280 desperate they took therefore two chariot horses and the king sent after the host of the syrians
00:18:13.760 saying go and see and they went after them unto jordan and lo all the way was full of clothes and
00:18:19.040 vessels which the syrians had cast away in their hurry and the messengers returned and told the king
00:18:25.200 and the people went out and spoiled the tents of the syrians so these four lepers basically just said
00:18:31.040 we got to do something we got to do something they didn't say we have to do the smartest thing
00:18:36.800 or the best thing or we have to overthink it we don't have to do anything like that we just have
00:18:41.760 to do something and i think that a lot of people are in the state now man they're kind of like paralyzed
00:18:47.280 of like just doing anything they're worried it's going to be a dumb thing they're worried it's not
00:18:51.200 gonna be a cool thing they're worried what people are going to think and they're not just doing anything
00:18:55.120 they're just kind of stuck in this rut and they're just going with this flow of their life
00:18:59.040 And people have to get to this place where they just do something, just make the move.
00:19:04.620 It kind of reminds me of this Romans 8, 28 passage that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
00:19:11.740 It's like there's no such thing as a bad thing.
00:19:14.220 If you're called according to his purpose, then there's no such thing as doing a bad thing.
00:19:19.420 Just go.
00:19:20.160 Just get going.
00:19:21.280 Just get going.
00:19:21.980 You just got to do the thing.
00:19:23.160 And you probably know the thing.
00:19:24.160 If we're being honest, people probably know the thing they're supposed to be doing, and they're just not doing it.
00:19:29.220 And I'm just saying, choosing to do the thing has these giant ripple effects in your life and in the life of others.
00:19:34.960 So you got to just move with it.
00:19:39.160 I was kind of really hoping not to share this, but I think I got to share it.
00:19:44.080 I know I'm never going to hear the end of it, especially with the homies.
00:19:48.100 So I had this dream one time, and I think it's so relevant that I'm just going to go out on a limb and share it, because I think it does matter.
00:20:01.800 So I'm in this football game, right?
00:20:04.240 And I'm a running back, right?
00:20:05.400 And I'm just to the right of the quarterback.
00:20:06.940 He's like in a shotgun.
00:20:09.020 I'm not doing it.
00:20:09.840 I don't know.
00:20:10.320 I shouldn't.
00:20:12.740 So I – can you stop hitting the button, though?
00:20:16.220 So it's like a serious dream, dude.
00:20:19.620 It's like a very simple but serious, meaningful dream.
00:20:22.220 It's kind of a profound dream, man.
00:20:24.100 And just so you know my take on dreams, man, I think in the same way Jesus spoke in parables, I think the Holy Spirit speaks to us in parables, too.
00:20:30.280 And sometimes that comes through in dreams.
00:20:31.760 He's speaking to us in riddles and parables, and he's trying to communicate with us.
00:20:35.280 And some of us, especially early on in the game, because we won't just shut up when we're, like, awake and listen and, like, have a conversation with the Lord.
00:20:43.700 Then all of a sudden, he's like, dude, I can only talk to you when you're asleep.
00:20:48.920 So anyway, so I'm in the backfield, right?
00:20:50.900 And I come out of the backfield, and I do, like, an out, right?
00:20:53.540 I just come out, boom, and do an out, and I catch, like, a seven-yard pass, and I get out of bounds.
00:20:58.360 That's it.
00:20:58.960 That's it.
00:20:59.780 And then the coach comes up and hits me on the helmet.
00:21:01.720 It's Tomlin.
00:21:02.340 It's Mike Tomlin.
00:21:03.060 I'm on the Steelers in this game.
00:21:04.780 He hits me on the helmet, and he goes, good job.
00:21:07.280 That's what we need you to do.
00:21:08.620 We don't need any superstars.
00:21:10.040 We need you to do your job, and then, boom, instantly I'm in this other scene.
00:21:14.120 I'm at, like, the training camp, and there's this dude.
00:21:17.000 He's, like, face is all red, no shirt on, like, his body's all red, and, like, a red-haired guy,
00:21:23.780 and he's, like, chained into this chain-link fence area, and Tomlin says, you see that guy, man?
00:21:30.020 He goes, that's our number one draft pick.
00:21:32.400 He's got more talent than anybody we've ever had on the team, but he can't play on the team.
00:21:37.260 He doesn't know how to play on a team.
00:21:38.560 And then, boom, I was out of the dream, and it was just very real to me, man.
00:21:44.240 Like, it was just very real to me that the Lord is not calling any of us to be superstars.
00:21:49.420 He's not calling any of us to do, like, some crazy thing.
00:21:52.920 He's just calling us to do our job.
00:21:55.680 He's calling us to do our job, and that's really what that passage in 2 Timothy 1, 8, 9 is about.
00:22:01.520 It says, God saved us and called us with a holy calling in Christ Jesus before the world began.
00:22:08.680 That's 2 Timothy 1.
00:22:11.980 I'll pull it up.
00:22:12.900 God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works,
00:22:25.960 but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
00:22:32.780 This is what I'm talking about.
00:22:33.760 You've got a destiny that's been set out before the world began.
00:22:38.760 Like, there was a way God made you for something specific before the world began,
00:22:44.320 and it has nothing to do with works, man.
00:22:46.220 Let's read it again.
00:22:47.180 He saved us and called us.
00:22:49.840 Most people are okay with, like, 2 Tim 1, 8, and 9.
00:22:55.800 9 is really the verse, but 8 just starts with the word God, so we know who's talking.
00:23:01.120 So most people, like, church people especially, they're good with, like, yeah, I'm saved.
00:23:04.760 I've been saved, and that's great.
00:23:06.360 That's great.
00:23:06.880 But if you've been saved, you've been called.
00:23:09.360 Like, you're a part of a body.
00:23:10.840 We've gone over this before, man.
00:23:12.080 You're part of a body.
00:23:12.980 You've been saved and called with a holy calling in Christ Jesus before the world began.
00:23:19.200 So that's what we would call a destiny.
00:23:21.100 You know, people like to argue over whether you're predestined or not.
00:23:23.600 Like, you are predestined.
00:23:25.620 Like, you have a thing that the Lord made you for, and my take on that is I'm going to spend
00:23:29.520 my life praying to the Lord that I fulfill the destiny that he made me for, right?
00:23:33.960 I've been saved and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, not according to
00:23:38.440 how many letters you have behind your name, not according to how much time you spend in
00:23:41.700 that classroom, not according to your education, not according to your family, not according
00:23:46.060 to your wealth, not according to your money, not according to any of the things, man.
00:23:49.340 Not according to works, but according to his own purpose.
00:23:54.860 This is what I'm saying, man.
00:23:56.600 That's what I'm saying is, like, this is all about his purposes and you getting in with
00:24:01.720 that, right?
00:24:02.320 We don't need any superstars.
00:24:03.860 We just need you to do your job.
00:24:06.040 You see what I'm saying?
00:24:08.440 According to his own purpose.
00:24:10.280 And that's what we read earlier.
00:24:11.440 That's when we're talking about Romans 8, 28.
00:24:13.480 All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his
00:24:17.540 purpose.
00:24:18.060 We know how many times we've seen that on a bumper sticker or a t-shirt or a coffee cup.
00:24:21.720 It says, uh, all things work together for good, but it doesn't stop there.
00:24:27.140 Then it says, sometimes people go a little further.
00:24:29.200 It's a really good song too.
00:24:31.040 It is.
00:24:32.220 All things work together for good to those who love God.
00:24:35.480 That's a little bit better, but that's not the full statement, man.
00:24:37.820 All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his
00:24:43.680 purpose.
00:24:44.340 Think of how logical that is, man.
00:24:46.000 It's like, whatever's going down in your life, whatever's happening in your life, as
00:24:51.820 long as you're called according to his purpose, it's all progressing towards that plan.
00:24:56.520 As soon as you're starting to take it into your own hands and you want to make your life
00:24:59.960 be this, you want to make your life be that, and you want to do this, then everything
00:25:03.700 doesn't work together for good.
00:25:04.800 But the day that you say, Lord, my life belongs to you, which only that is salvation.
00:25:10.060 Anybody who's like, oh yeah, I checked the box that says Christianity, so therefore I'm
00:25:15.060 a Christian, this doesn't apply to them.
00:25:16.660 This applies to people who say, here you go, Lord, you take my life, it belongs to you.
00:25:20.580 It's not my own anymore.
00:25:21.660 When you do that, as soon as you do that and you be guided by his hand, then all things
00:25:26.540 work together for good because it's all according to his purpose.
00:25:32.620 So yeah, just keep that passage in mind.
00:25:34.540 It's 2 Timothy 1, 9.
00:25:36.160 God who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but
00:25:39.940 according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world
00:25:44.520 began.
00:25:44.960 Think about a boat, right?
00:25:46.380 Like say there's this boat and it's just like sitting on a trailer and you know, it has
00:25:52.180 good days.
00:25:52.700 It has bad days.
00:25:53.600 Sometimes it's sunny outside.
00:25:55.000 Sometimes it's rainy, but something's not right.
00:25:57.500 Sometimes right.
00:25:58.020 It's just sitting on this trailer.
00:25:58.960 It's a boat.
00:26:02.640 Then maybe somebody starts towing that trailer, right?
00:26:05.280 Somebody hitches the thing up.
00:26:07.360 Now they're on the road.
00:26:08.820 Now they're flying down the freeway.
00:26:10.420 The boat's like, oh man, man.
00:26:12.300 Okay.
00:26:12.620 Yeah.
00:26:12.860 We're getting somewhere.
00:26:14.340 We're getting somewhere.
00:26:15.900 This feels better, right?
00:26:17.580 But imagine what happens to that boat when it gets dropped in the water.
00:26:21.840 Do you see what I'm saying?
00:26:22.980 You see what I'm saying?
00:26:23.380 Like it's the same thing with us, with God.
00:26:25.280 Like he made us for a very specific reason.
00:26:28.300 Why would we fight against that?
00:26:29.840 Like why would we fight against that?
00:26:31.060 He made us for a very specific reason.
00:26:33.100 We would be saying to him, okay, Lord, do with me whatever you made me for.
00:26:37.860 I don't want to fight against what I was made for.
00:26:40.300 You're the maker.
00:26:41.440 I'm just some dude on the planet that reads the Bible.
00:26:43.860 Like do with me whatever you want to do because that's what I was made for.
00:26:47.280 That seems incredibly logical to me.
00:26:49.120 That seems very reasonable for like all people.
00:26:53.640 So I guess that really that kind of wraps it up, man.
00:27:01.140 To be honest, I wasn't going to do like this big long thing.
00:27:03.480 I know we normally go for the three-hour thing.
00:27:05.780 But another passage that really struck me this week was in Hebrews 2.3, man.
00:27:17.280 This is kind of a big one.
00:27:19.080 I don't know why.
00:27:20.080 I've read this, I don't know, a hundred times.
00:27:22.700 And I was just reading it this week and it just struck me, man.
00:27:25.400 Hebrews 2.3, how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?
00:27:35.600 I just thought like, man, I think I'd feel a little bit more comfortable or most people
00:27:40.620 would feel a little more comfortable if it said, how shall we escape if we reject so great salvation?
00:27:46.200 And I thought, that's not what it says, man.
00:27:48.060 It says neglect.
00:27:50.580 How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?
00:27:55.840 And I just thought, man, how many people are neglecting this?
00:28:00.060 Like how many people are not doing the thing?
00:28:02.040 Like how many people today are like seeing the burning bush and they're not turning aside
00:28:08.940 and they're not going to it?
00:28:10.600 How many lepers are at the gates that aren't just getting up and like going out and doing
00:28:16.100 something?
00:28:16.600 Like how many people are just caught in the current of life?
00:28:21.280 They're just stuck on the hamster wheel.
00:28:23.440 They're just in the rat race.
00:28:25.080 They're in the maze and they're just not doing the thing.
00:28:28.120 And they're and they're neglecting the salvation.
00:28:31.180 They check the box.
00:28:32.060 They say they're Christians.
00:28:33.160 Maybe they even do the church thing on Sunday, but they're neglecting this.
00:28:37.740 How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?
00:28:41.960 So all I'm saying is the bush is on fire.
