three years come September. And I want to tell you a little bit about that journey, where I have

succeeded, where I have failed, why it's critical. Fitness is critical to helping you become a better

on right now. Three years ago, guys, I was in a bad way. I was depressed. I was tired. I didn't have

any energy. I hated the way that I looked. It was bad. And then I remember one time in particular,

when I came home from work and my sons asked if I could play with them and I had to literally look

them in the eye and tell them that I could not, I literally could not go play. I just didn't have

the energy. And that was the moment, guys, that had all changed for me. I knew something had to

change and that's when it flipped in my mind. And I also remember not too long after that, sitting in

a parade around this time, three years ago. And one of the entries in the parade was a local CrossFit

gym that was actually just getting started. They handed me a flyer for a free week and that was it.

I was off to the races. Now, a lot has transpired since then, but I'm in the best shape of my life.

My businesses are exploding. My marriage is doing awesome. We're making more money than we ever have.

And we have the time flexibility to do what we want when we want to do it. Now,

a lot of guys about this time will say, well, that might be nice for you, but,

but I have to get a job, but I have to pay the bills, but I have the obligations to take care of.

And if that's you, if you're telling yourself that here's the lie that you're actually telling

or I can take care of myself. And what I want to tell you is that you can have both.

other aspect of life. Now, when I start talking about what I do from a fitness routine, which

is CrossFit, I inevitably hear somebody say, CrossFit is bad for you, or you'll get seriously

injured doing CrossFit. I don't care if you like CrossFit. It does not matter to me. What

you do and believe has no outcome in my life. So if you don't like CrossFit because your

uncle's son's sister's boyfriend's friend hurt himself, cool. But you better do something.

Now, I'm not a fitness expert, so I'm not going to suggest what you do or a certain routine

or a workout you should get involved with. But I will tell you the best workout that you

can do is the one that's actually going to work for you. So I want to give you a couple

of things to consider as you're starting your fitness or you're trying to overcome the plateau

that you might find yourself on. Number one, do something that engages you. If you like

running, run. If you like to play sports, play basketball. If you like lifting heavy

things, lift. If you like martial arts, do Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Don't listen to anybody

who says you have to do blank. Because if you have to and it doesn't appeal to you, you probably

won't. And therefore, it wasn't that great of a workout because you didn't do it. Also,

you need to find accountability. This could be going on a jog with a friend, keeping score

and allowing other people to see it. Or even competing with someone that's close to your

same level. Maybe they're slightly ahead of you. But competition is huge. Accountability

is huge. You have to do it. And then on another level of accountability, get a coach. I was

at the gym this morning and I started a slack on my pull-ups and my coach came over to me

and he said, let's go. That's all he said and that's all it took and I was back into it.

A coach is going to keep you motivated, but he's also going to help you see things that you

cannot. He'll say the things that you need to hear. So if you're ready for a big commitment,
