00:00:00.000 officer ashley gonzalez has been fired the police chief dismissed her earlier this afternoon now
00:00:05.360 this all unfolded after she posted a racist rant online that disturbed the community
00:00:10.720 and the department nobody reyna is live outside police headquarters with what i can't think of
00:00:16.000 anything that would make me more racist than being a police officer all right ladies i can't even
00:00:20.960 imagine dealing with those ninjas day in and day out it would drive me nuts it's so sad my bad okay
00:00:27.840 What the chief is saying about this decision, Megan, you have no idea, says that her behavior
00:00:34.040 was entirely unacceptable, that it has no place in this community, let alone the department.
00:00:40.360 Now, many people were wondering why wasn't she fired immediately? Well, police here did have
00:00:45.440 to give her due process. They had to follow state law by fully investigating. In most cases,
00:00:51.620 an internal investigation takes weeks, sometimes months. Yeah, that's the thing. Women,
00:00:56.020 we don't understand there's consequences now i do racist rants right i do this for a living 0.96
00:01:01.420 racist sexist homophobic whatever um so i i do but you understand you can't i'm unemployable 0.75
00:01:09.340 that was my consequence you can't do this and have a normal job this one was fast-trapped 0.96
00:01:13.460 to take just days this all started when gonzalez posted on instagram a video of her using a racial
00:01:19.040 slur more than 20 times at one point she said she quote hated black people gonzalez has been 0.79
00:01:25.240 relieved of duty. Give her her job back. On Monday and is now fine. Those ninjas there thought the 1.00
00:01:32.120 same thing. But this doesn't mean she is stripped of her Texas peace officer license. We spoke with
00:01:37.660 retired Houston police captain Greg Freeman. He says the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
00:01:42.620 would have that authority. Without a criminal conviction or something of that type of nature,
00:01:49.380 she'll still have a state certification but i suspect that there will be a huge outcry
00:01:57.540 to certain uh political entities within austin to look at this very closely because
00:02:03.860 is there a possibility all right what does the comment say what do the comments say 1.00
00:02:07.900 okay yeah racism aside she's too stupid to be a police officer saying racist things while 1.00
00:02:13.240 recording yourself and hitting send is low iq okay that's fair that's fair 1.00
00:02:18.500 Here we go.
