00:00:00.000 kind of like fat women getting like losing weight you kind of expect it to come back 1.00
00:00:03.660 except me damn it what up guys welcome to my reaction series today we are reacting to modern 0.99
00:00:09.880 women being addicted to phones so gen z women um and i would even say millennial women um even 0.97
00:00:16.840 boomer moms with facebook have just a terrible phone addictions uh to the point that i would say 1.00
00:00:22.840 social media is far worse for women than corn is for men um women are getting on tiktok and 0.93
00:00:29.520 divorcing their husbands. Women are getting on Instagram, finding a side dude. It just is what 1.00
00:00:34.840 it is. I don't vape, but I do kind of use my phone like a vape. I just watched a video of
00:00:42.160 talking about how he fixed his phone addiction and it was honestly very real and honestly a
00:00:50.680 little validating. So again, it's because we're kind of lonely as women by choice, right? But
00:00:57.140 we're choosing to use our phones instead of being in real life. I really, if you want to overcome
00:01:01.120 a phone addiction, in all honesty, because I would say I have, I have a bit of one being in
00:01:05.540 this industry, be in a city because you have more access to real life. Like I know there's this like
00:01:12.160 trad fantasy online. We're living in the country. You'll just have this community
00:01:16.380 non 2025 and I've lived it. I've, you know, when I was in my parents' house,
00:01:21.740 i was like an hour from the city and like i was bored you know 10 hours of screen time a day
00:01:30.800 and that's normal so mind you if she's left you unread i got bad news for you king
00:01:37.260 and a family history of addiction
00:01:41.400 and um i will like hit my phone like people would hit vape not my dog deciding to start
00:01:51.580 drinking water right now like i'll get off a stressful work call that's what i'm picking up
00:01:56.280 my phone i'm opening tiktok i start scrolling you know like whenever i'm stressed or bored or
00:02:06.060 don't want to think or i'm tired and don't want to get up or um pretty much any thing ever i am
00:02:17.880 picking up my phone and scrolling and kyle peru made the really good point of like what am i
00:02:25.000 hiding from and um because i can tell she has a lack of social skills i mean i'm not judging
00:02:32.440 don't we all you know what i'm talking about in therapy today anyway does anyone else feel like
00:02:38.980 that like you literally pick up your phone mindlessly and use it as like an instant
00:02:44.600 dopamine rush like i feel like it like it's like it's a literal drug anyway one of my goals every
00:02:52.200 day is no screen time for the first hour of the day and i'm gonna try it again tomorrow
00:03:00.440 haven't haven't done it any day this week the week before that but uh today it's been okay
00:03:08.920 let's see the next woman that's addicted to her phones i mean these women when we start to mess 1.00
00:03:12.920 up our faces usually it's because we think the people we see in our phones um look like i get
00:03:19.000 called ugly on the internet a lot i kind of lean into it right but a lot of people are very critical
00:03:23.400 of the face like my face could be it could be better you know uh but really i'm kind of a
00:03:28.120 normal looking woman like i'm really not that ugly i'm just kind of ugly for tv does that make
00:03:33.800 sense like like in real life i'm pretty normal like average i don't really like nobody looks
00:03:41.080 Examine is like, oh, you know, they're just kind of like, oh, they might say she's got 0.99
00:03:45.800 a nice ass. 0.99
00:03:49.140 I'm wild today, guys. 0.99
00:03:50.860 I'm sorry.
00:03:51.520 Believe, and this might sound crazy, that in 10 years, people will be going to rehab
00:03:54.720 for their phone.
00:03:55.440 When I was in rehab in 2006, I was at this place in Arizona called The Meadows, and there
00:04:00.720 was...
00:04:00.820 That'd be great.
00:04:01.480 I would love a phone rehab.
00:04:03.380 That'd be awesome.
00:04:05.240 You know what's funny?
00:04:05.920 There's like fat camps.
00:04:07.080 like i think even to lose the last 20 pounds i would love a fat camp i would really love it
00:04:13.160 i i like i think a fat camp would be really fun i think of like just to see how long i could go
00:04:18.840 without it i'm like put me in this phone prison a girl that was there for phone addiction do people 1.00
00:04:24.680 make fun of her or do people just curious about it people were more curious i mean we're all in
00:04:28.680 rehab like you're not really making fun of other people right what are you gonna what are you gonna
00:04:33.160 uh, I actually love when you're kind of in a place where nobody can have an ego 0.99
00:04:38.280 because everybody's got shit that would destroy them. I mean, I pray every, there's some 0.95
00:04:43.540 embarrassing things I've done in my life that I pray to God every day. Don't make it to the
00:04:47.360 internet. I mean, you know, I haven't done anything that crazy, like no drugs other than weed,
00:04:52.840 but like barely, barely, you know, I'm not going to pretend I didn't try it ever though.
00:04:58.380 Um, but you know, there's some embarrassing things I've done in my life that if they ever
00:05:02.860 get on the internet i will be i will be embarrassed so but back to my point when you're in a place
00:05:09.020 where everybody's kind of like we all are trash here there's a very little judgment you almost
00:05:15.160 can make the best of friends oh it's come to this it was just a little curious because we were like
00:05:20.700 addicted to your phone how i mean i just think having boundaries around your phone is really
00:05:26.000 important just like you would have boundaries in a relationship stay at home mom or work from her 0.96
00:05:29.940 mom who is distracted by her phone you know it's ruining your motherhood experience you're anxious
00:05:33.640 you're overwhelmed but you're using your phone and scrolling to cope with the stress and you feel
00:05:37.420 guilty because you know you're distracted from motherhood you know you're distracted from your
00:05:40.320 children you know that all they see is you looking at your phone you're waiting for them to be
00:05:43.620 distracted so that you can go kids are so boring like kids are not these entertaining like we gotta
00:05:49.400 we gotta stop saying motherhood is this special amazing thing it's cool but I don't really see
00:05:55.480 mothers being that excited to be mothers you know they're kind of bored so your phone and scroll and
00:06:01.600 then when they need something from you you become frustrated that they need you their caretaker
00:06:05.120 because you're so addicted to your phone if you're like oh my gosh how does she know my life it's
00:06:09.480 because that was me for a few months my phone addiction was absolutely ruining my life and
00:06:13.060 absolutely ruining my motherhood experience here's what i did i got off social media for 30 days i
00:06:17.180 use that time to reflect how much i'm really using my phone doesn't feel good now she's back on tiktok
00:06:22.100 it won't you know one of those moments where you're like oh my gosh thank goodness kind of 0.98
00:06:25.960 like fat women getting like losing weight you kind of expect it to come back except me damn it 1.00
00:06:30.620 um women on social media addiction yeah i mean she'll go back i took time away because this is 0.98
00:06:39.280 actually repulsive and i'm wasting so much time on my phone then what i did for the next 30 days
00:06:43.620 was just trial what it would look like to be on my phone only in the evenings or only during his
00:06:48.120 nap time or only during lunchtime and i came up with a really good flow and boundaries for me and
00:06:52.440 my phone and i feel a million times better i have so much peace i feel healthy the best way i can
00:06:57.700 describe it is i feel like i have a six-pack when it comes to like digital wellness though i don't
00:07:01.620 feel guilty anxious or overwhelmed during the day or this desire to okay i'm moving on you're not
00:07:06.120 that entertaining all right another one white women i would say phone addiction is mostly for 1.00
00:07:11.560 white women because again we're the ones doing these messed up things that are marketed to us 1.00
00:07:15.880 because we want it so it's our own fault but like for example the trans stuff the mom's on the phone 0.92
00:07:21.560 too much and the dad's the conservatives will say men just lead better it's like what the dad is
00:07:27.640 supposed to watch his wife and what she consumes on her phone all day doesn't he have better things
00:07:33.380 to do you're an adult it's your problem I know there's literally a direct correlation with me
00:07:39.140 going on my phone when I wake up and having a bad day and yet I still constantly do that this
00:07:44.640 morning i got up and i went on my phone yeah i was productive like i got dressed i went to class
00:07:50.340 but i was sitting in chapel and i was talking to my friend and i was like yeah there's this
00:07:55.560 correlation that every time i go on my phone i have a bad day and now i'm feeling like crap
00:07:59.640 and then i came back to my dorm to change my outfit haven't changed out of my outfit
00:08:04.360 sitting in my bed scrolling out my phone i'm realizing every day more and more i'm so addicted
00:08:14.860 to my phone and it's so normalized because everyone does it everyone does it
00:08:20.360 i don't know what to do anymore i don't know what to do i'm so addicted to my phone and it doesn't
00:08:29.360 even it doesn't make me feel good like when i'm on it yeah it's nice after i feel like crap
00:08:33.800 every time every time and yet i still go on my phone yeah and eight to 12 hours a day is not
00:08:43.140 abnormal i think the average let me look it up the average screen time for gen z women 1.00
00:08:50.580 six and a half hours a day and if it's self-reported it's probably higher it says gen z
00:08:58.140 men or an hour less, but I don't really believe, I don't know. I just have not seen Gen Z men have 1.00
00:09:05.000 the phone addiction that Gen Z women do. But again, that's a social life. So again, Gen Z is 1.00
00:09:11.520 not really going to have social lives. You know, they still will, but it'll just be different. I
00:09:16.280 mean, a lot of my friends I've made online and I don't hate it. Like some of them are pretty cool.
00:09:22.200 So all right, guys, like the video, subscribe to the channel and I'll see you next time.
