Pearl - Modern Women Literally Can't Put Down Their Phones

00:00:00.000 the dad is supposed to watch his wife and what she consumes on her phone all day doesn't he have 0.82

00:00:05.080 better things to do what up guys welcome to my reaction series today we are reacting to modern

00:00:10.540 women being addicted to phones so gen z women um and i would even say millennial women um even 0.96

00:00:17.520 boomer moms with facebook have just a terrible phone addictions to the point that i would say 1.00

00:00:23.080 social media is far worse for women than corn is for men um women are getting on tiktok and 0.93

00:00:29.740 divorcing their husbands women are getting on instagram finding a side dude it just is what it 0.88

00:00:35.200 is i don't vape but i do kind of use my phone like a vape i just watched a video of kyle prude

00:00:42.840 talking about how he fixed his phone addiction and it was honestly very real and honestly a

00:00:50.920 little validating i have so again it's because we're kind of lonely as women um by choice right

00:00:58.060 but we're choosing to use our phones instead of being in real life i really if you want to overcome

00:01:03.340 a phone addiction in all honesty because i would say i have i have a bit of one being in this

00:01:07.900 industry be in a city because you have more access to real life like i know there's this like trad

00:01:16.140 fantasy online we're living in the country you'll just have this community non-2025 and i've lived

00:01:22.860 it i've you know when i was in my parents house i was like an hour from the city and like i was

00:01:29.740 bored you know 10 hours of screen time a day and that's normal so mind you if she's left you unread

00:01:39.180 i got bad news for you king and a family history of addiction

00:01:45.020 and um i will like hit my phone like people would hit vape not my dog deciding to start

00:01:55.040 drinking water right now like i'll get off a stressful work call guess what i'm picking up

00:01:59.760 my phone i'm opening tiktok i start scrolling you know like whenever i'm stressed or bored or

00:02:09.520 don't want to think or i'm tired and don't want to get up or um pretty much any

00:02:17.620 thing ever i am picking up my phone and scrolling and kyle peru made the really good point of like

00:02:27.360 what am i hiding from and um because i can tell she has a lack of social skills i mean i'm not

00:02:35.520 judging don't we all you know what i'm talking about in therapy today anyway does anyone else

00:02:42.020 feel like that like you literally pick up your phone mindlessly and use it as like an instant

00:02:48.080 dopamine rush like i feel like it like it's like it's a literal drug anyway one of my goals every

00:02:55.700 day is no screen time for the first hour of the day and i'm gonna try it again tomorrow

00:03:02.800 haven't haven't done it any day this week or the week before that but uh today it's been okay let's

00:03:12.700 see the next woman that's addicted to her phones i mean these women when we start to mess up our 1.00

00:03:16.720 faces usually it's because we think the people we see in our phones um look like i get called

00:03:22.760 ugly on the internet i kind of lean into it right but a lot of people are very critical of the face

00:03:27.580 like my face could be it could be better you know uh but really i'm kind of a normal looking woman

00:03:32.860 like i'm really not that ugly i'm just kind of ugly for tv does that make sense like like

00:03:39.100 in real life i'm pretty normal like average i don't really like nobody looks at me and is like 0.97

00:03:45.260 ah you know they're just kind of like oh they might say she's got a nice a nice ass 1.00

00:03:50.460 i'm wild today guys i'm sorry believe and this might sound crazy that in 10 years people will

00:03:57.660 be going to rehab for their phone when i was in rehab in 2006 i was at this place in arizona

00:04:02.540 called the meadows and there would be great i would love a phone rehab that'd be awesome

00:04:08.540 you know what's funny there's like fat camps like i think even to lose the last 20 pounds i would

00:04:13.740 love a fat camp i would really love it let's face it free speech is a myth large social media

00:04:19.900 companies reserve the right to judge and punish any content creators they see fit without due

00:04:25.080 process or warning. How do I know? Because I was demonetized for a year and a half and I had to

00:04:29.980 work my way back from the bottom to where I am today. One thing that my experience taught me is

00:04:34.360 to never rely on one platform for my livelihood again, which is why I created my own website and

00:04:39.500 app, the Audacity Network. Unlike the larger platforms that are bogged down by censorship

00:04:44.160 and changing guidelines, the Audacity Network is an open platform run by me for my supporters.

00:04:49.900 For just $10 a month, you can join a community that can speak their mind

00:04:53.240 and get first access to present and future projects.

00:04:56.180 It's also a place to find my old content as well as to get access to live streams and videos

00:05:01.340 you can only find on my website.

00:05:03.500 So go to theaudacitynetwork.com to become a member

00:05:06.300 or go to the Apple Store and Google Store to download the app today.

00:05:09.680 I'll see you there.

00:05:11.180 I think a fat camp would be really fun.

00:05:14.580 I think of like just to see how long I could go without it.

00:05:17.960 I'm like, put me in this phone prison.

00:05:19.900 a girl that was there for phone addiction do people make fun of her or do people just curious

00:05:24.460 about it people were more curious and we were all in rehab like you're not really making fun of

00:05:28.300 people right what are you gonna what are you gonna i actually love when you're kind of in a place

00:05:34.460 where nobody can have an ego because everybody's got that would destroy them i mean i pray every

00:05:40.860 there's some embarrassing things i've done in my life that i pray to god every day don't make it

00:05:44.860 to the internet i mean you know i haven't done anything that crazy like no drugs other than weed

00:05:55.260 but like barely barely you know i'm not gonna pretend i didn't try it ever though um

00:06:01.980 but you know there's some embarrassing things i've done in my life that if they ever

00:06:06.140 get on the internet i will be i will be embarrassed so but back to my point when

00:06:12.300 when you're in a place where everybody's kind of like we all are trash here there's a very little

00:06:18.480 judgment you almost can make the best of friends oh it's come to this it was just a little curious

00:06:23.600 because we were like addicted to your phone how i mean i just think having boundaries around your

00:06:29.440 phone is really important just like you would have boundaries in a relationship stay at home

00:06:33.740 mom or work from her mom who is distracted by her phone you know it's ruining your motherhood

00:06:37.200 experience you're anxious you're overwhelmed but you're using your phone and scrolling to cope with

00:06:41.160 the stress and you feel guilty because you know you're distracted from motherhood you know you're

00:06:44.280 distracted from your children you know that all they see is you looking at your phone you're

00:06:47.200 waiting for them to be distracted so that you can go kids are so boring like kids are not these

00:06:52.040 entertaining like we gotta we gotta stop saying motherhood is this special amazing thing it's cool

00:06:58.420 but i don't really see mothers being that excited to be mothers you know they're kind of bored so

00:07:04.480 your phone and scroll and then when they need something from you you become frustrated that

00:07:08.640 they need you their caretaker because you're so addicted to your phone if you're like oh my gosh

00:07:12.760 how does she know my life it's because that was me for a few months my phone addiction was absolutely

00:07:17.180 ruining my life and absolutely ruining my motherhood experience here's what i did i got off

00:07:20.880 social media for 30 days i use that time to reflect how much i'm really using my phone

00:07:24.460 doesn't feel good now she's back on tiktok it won't you know one of those moments where you're

00:07:29.000 like oh my gosh thank goodness kind of like fat women getting like losing weight you kind of 1.00

00:07:33.200 expect it to come back except me damn it um women on social media addiction yeah i mean she'll go 1.00

00:07:41.300 back i took time away because this is actually repulsive and i'm wasting so much time on my phone 0.94

00:07:46.900 then what i did for the next 30 days was just trial what it would look like to be on my phone

00:07:51.100 only in the evenings or only during his nap time or only during lunch time and i came up with a

00:07:55.280 really good flow and boundaries for me and my phone and i feel a million times better i have

00:07:59.520 so much peace i feel healthy the best way i can describe it is i feel like i have a six-pack when

00:08:04.840 it comes to like digital wellness though i don't feel guilty anxious or overwhelmed during the day

00:08:08.460 or this desire to okay i'm moving on you're not that entertaining all right another one white 0.85

00:08:14.200 women i would say phone addiction is mostly for white women because again we're the ones doing 0.99

00:08:18.380 these messed up things that are marketed to us because we want it so it's our own fault but

00:08:22.880 like for example the trans stuff the mom's on the phone too much and the dad the conservatives will

00:08:28.500 say men just lead better it's like what the dad is supposed to watch his wife and what she consumes 0.96

00:08:34.060 on her phone all day doesn't he have better things to do you're an adult it's your problem i know

00:08:38.720 there's literally a direct correlation with me going on my phone when i wake up and having a bad

00:08:43.480 day and yet i still constantly do that this morning i got up and i went on my phone yeah i was

00:08:49.280 productive like i got dressed i went to class but i was sitting in chapel and i was talking to my

00:08:54.820 friend and i was like yeah there's this correlation that every time i go on my phone i have a bad day

00:09:00.060 and now i'm feeling like crap and then i came back to my dorm to change my outfit haven't changed

00:09:05.440 out of my outfit sitting in my bed scrolling on my phone i'm realizing every day more and more

00:09:14.860 i'm so addicted to my phone and it's so normalized because everyone does it everyone does it

00:09:22.160 i don't know what to do anymore i don't know what to do i'm so addicted to my phone and it doesn't

00:09:31.160 even it doesn't make me feel good like when i'm on it yeah it's nice after i feel like crap every

00:09:36.080 time every time and yet i still go on my phone yeah and eight to twelve hours a day is not

00:09:47.080 abnormal i think the average look it up the average screen time for gen z women six and a 1.00

00:09:56.000 half hours a day and if it's self-reported it's probably higher it says gen z men are an hour less

00:10:03.900 but i don't really believe i don't know i i just have not seen gen z men have the phone addiction

00:10:09.720 that gen z women do but again that's a social life so again gen z is not really going to have 1.00

00:10:16.240 social lives you know they still will but it'll just be different i mean a lot of my friends

00:10:21.120 i've made online and i don't hate it like some of them are pretty cool so all right guys like

00:10:28.320 the video subscribe to the channel and i'll see you next time
