00:00:00.000All right, what's up guys? Welcome to my reaction series. Today we're going to be reacting to the Cornell Grape case.
00:00:07.720So basically what happened was this woman, she threw it back for seven guys in one night or between three to seven.
00:00:13.780I don't know. There's different accounts. But regardless, according to her, she was raped,
00:00:19.280but she only decided this after the fraternity didn't invite her to their party,
00:00:26.560which you can never not invite a woman to a party so now um there is a video of actually
00:00:33.380we're first going to watch the cornell uh president completely simp out so the president1.00
00:00:40.480of cornell university did not tell the media to fuck off and that this woman is a whore1.00
00:00:48.740and deserved to be expelled and the guys are innocent right or just kick them all off campus1.00
00:00:54.480could have did that instead he released a statement throwing the cornell 7 under the bus
00:00:59.640stating contrary to cornell's own internal title 9x investigation that jane doe was a survivor of
00:01:06.580sexual assault he also commended the governor's decision to appoint attorney general latina james
00:01:13.220to oversee the case and press charges against the young men who've had their reputations ruined in
00:01:18.320the fallout of this wildly publicized, utterly unsubstantiated allegations.
00:01:23.320Hello, Cornellians, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and parents. I've been at Cornell and part
00:01:31.880of this community for more than 26 years. In almost every speech I make, I talk about that
00:01:38.920precious community and the unique bonds between us. This has been one of the most difficult weeks
00:01:45.520in our history. And I know many of you are angry, saddened, and struggling, and that those bonds
00:01:53.320are under extraordinary stress. What happened to Jane Doe in 2024 is deeply disturbing and will
00:02:00.860weigh heavily on our community for years to come. My heart aches when I think of what she experienced.
00:02:07.440it she experienced a gang why as a woman should i be good if the president of the university is1.00
00:02:16.120drawing attention and sympathy to the one women that are terrible and giving her sympathy for1.00
00:02:21.380doing a gang bang are you kidding me what do i get for not doing a gang bang what do i get0.99
00:02:27.520self-respect fuck that this is heartbreaking and troubling issues about sexual assault0.99
00:02:35.100dehumanization, and aspects of party culture, alcohol, and drug use. It also raises questions
00:02:42.060around the investigations conducted after the allegations were reported. I want to acknowledge
00:02:48.140something that can be difficult for an institution to say. We don't have all the answers, but we are
00:02:55.020committed to investigating and finding the answers our community deserves. I believe we as an
00:03:01.740administration and we as a community must do better we must do everything we can to prevent
00:03:11.020what happened to jane doe and everyone before her and anyone after her from ever happening again1.00
00:03:19.180as a community we must foster trust me you can't stop women from doing gang bangs the more you tell0.99
00:03:24.940women not to do gang bangs the more gang bangs we want to do so it's just incredible culture in0.87
00:03:30.780which sexual assault is inexcusable and ensure our community is empowered and understands informed
00:03:38.060consent, body autonomy, and prevention. We all have a role to play in keeping each other safe.
00:03:45.740And understanding that sexual violence exists within our society and our community,
00:03:51.020as leaders, we must create an environment in which people who experience sexual assault
00:03:56.300feel safe coming forward, and are treated with compassion and dignity. We must have systems that
00:04:03.360are trauma-informed and provide survivors the services they need. We must also investigate
00:04:09.540allegations rigorously and fairly, including providing due process. In conjunction with our
00:04:15.960Board of Trustees, I welcome the independent review by an outside law firm into all aspects
00:04:21.160of Cornell's handling. Yeah, I want money from men, white men. I don't want money from women.0.97
00:04:26.300It just seems like you've got to sell your soul in order to get money from Black people or women.1.00
00:04:32.380I'll take less money to be paid by White Ben.0.99
00:04:35.320Of the 2024 matter, which the board will announce next week.
00:04:39.840We also support the governor's decision to turn the criminal investigation over to the New York Attorney General.
00:04:46.940But we will not wait for the investigation or the review to be completed before we act.
00:04:52.940where we see opportunities to strengthen prevention and education, student support,
00:04:59.240mental health and substance use resources, investigative processes or coordination
00:05:04.220among our university offices, we will act. The review should inform additional changes,
00:05:10.740not delay improvements already underway or ones we know we can make today. I believe the change
00:05:17.060starts with us, the Cornell community. How about change starts with the woman not doing a fucking1.00
00:05:23.920gangbang? Is that crazy? Am I going nuts? Am I going crazy for saying, hey, maybe don't have a1.00
00:05:32.140gangbang? 2025, in the wake of what happened to Jane Doe, we established the Presidential Task
00:05:39.040Force on Sexual Assault to make recommendations focused on prevention and improving the social
00:05:46.000context in which sexual assaults occur. We fully endorsed the Task Force recommendations,
00:05:52.880which have already led to substantial changes in education, prevention, and support. With more work
00:05:58.880to come, we must also take this moment to re-engage our community and for the Task Force to come
00:06:05.680together and have hard conversations about our campus culture and its future, and to find new
00:06:12.880ways to do more. I also hear the frustration that Cornell has not communicated enough
00:06:19.600about what the university did after the assault was reported, which has led to distrust. There
00:06:25.680are real legal and privacy limits on what we can say, but we will make a greater effort to explain
00:06:32.160what we can. Yeah. What can you explain? The women did a gangbang. I mean, oh my God, I just can't
00:06:39.520even this is what i mean society over complicates everything we don't need to over complicate this
00:06:45.600gangbang i mean cooks done to provide context about the actions cornell has taken
00:06:51.760and to be more transparent this message is the beginning of what we hope will be an ongoing
00:06:58.080constructive and dynamic conversation with our community in the coming weeks we will create
00:07:05.120additional opportunities for members of our community to ask questions and hear directly
00:07:10.400from university leadership that will include opportunities for cornell leadership to listen
00:07:15.760to our community including parents of our current students and as we look ahead to the volunteer
00:07:22.640summit additional forums for our extended cornell community to engage with university
00:07:28.320and board leadership about what we have done what we are doing now and what more needs to
00:07:34.480All right. Cooked. All right. So let's see what's next. Matthew Ingalls actually released a.
00:07:41.560So Matthew Matthew Ingalls, who's one of the guys who was accused of rape in this case, alleged that Lucy Craig actually raped him, too, which is what I've been saying.1.00
00:07:50.220The solution to feminism is more feminism. So let's go.
00:07:52.640Rebecca, ABC News has obtained a recording of a phone call between Jane Doe and the fraternity brother.
00:07:58.320She went to see the night she was allegedly attacked.
00:08:00.760The call appears to show that he was trying to convince her he meant no harm, and she consented.
00:08:06.760Want me to give him my recollection of the entire night?
00:08:09.600Three weeks after her traumatic night at the Chi-Fi house,
00:08:12.480a then-Cornell student now known as Jane Doe called Matthew Ingalls the friend who...
00:08:17.000Her traumatic night? You mean her night of fun? I mean, come on, guys.
00:08:21.220...who invited her to the fraternity that night, recording the entire conversation.
00:08:25.520She told him she spent time in the emergency room and in therapy
00:08:28.500because there's so much damage on my body and my brain.
00:08:31.900She said if I wanted to take this somewhere,0.78
00:08:33.780what y'all did would be classified as gang rape.
00:08:36.220You already knew when I came in, I was 10 shots deep.
00:08:39.780Ingalls responded with a different recollection.
00:08:41.980You did tell me you were sober, by the way.
00:08:44.020You did, you said you hadn't been anywhere.
00:08:46.560Jane Doe said she was 100% sure she told him
00:08:49.420she had been at a bar for a sorority event,
00:10:02.740So people started like filling up the balcony just because there was nowhere else to go.
00:10:07.460Ingalls did not mention that during the incident, he posted to a group on Snapchat,
00:10:11.560a photo of her in bed and an invitation to his fraternity brothers saying, boys, come whip it out.
00:10:17.560Cornell expelled Ingalls and another student and suspended two others.
00:10:20.880In this video obtained by ABC News, Cornell police inform one of the suspended students he is unwelcome on campus.
00:10:27.760Take a look at that. Per the temporary suspension, he is barred from any of the grounds owned, operated, and maintained by Cornell University.
00:10:36.140All seven fraternity brothers have denied wrongdoing.
00:10:38.780Ingalls has not responded to Jane Doe's lawsuit, but during Cornell's internal investigation,
00:10:43.500he said he was too intoxicated to consent and suggested Jane Doe assaulted him.
00:10:48.640This week, Cornell will announce which outside law firm will evaluate how the university handled Jane Doe's allegations.
00:10:54.940Yeah, cooked, cooked. All right. This is we're in a society where they just reward the wrong thing constantly.
00:11:00.240It starts in the home because men can't tell their wives now. So anyways.
00:11:03.900All right, guys, I love you. Thank you so much for watching.
00:11:06.340Please like the video on your way out and subscribe to the channel.
00:11:10.180Ring that notification bell and I'll see you next time.
