00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, it's PJ. Got a bit of an update for you guys on the Alberta independence front.
00:00:05.440 Got a video that I put up a couple of days back that had some issues with YouTube. I've now
00:00:11.300 addressed the concerns that platform had and hopefully this time there won't be any problems.
00:00:18.300 Hope you guys can enjoy the video. I know that the Americans would be under this president would
00:00:23.680 be interested in finding a way to get more product down to the U.S. because it just makes sense.
00:00:27.240 We can backfill into the U.S. to keep prices low for their consumers. That allows them to export
00:00:32.800 internationally, which satisfies their national security goals. And it's really a perfect
00:00:37.920 partnership. I think that's why we don't have tariffs on oil and gas right now is because it
00:00:41.320 is such a good relationship. Representative appointed by President Trump to explore the benefits of
00:00:47.320 either Alberta becoming an independent sovereign nation with economic union in the United States,
00:00:51.980 becoming a U.S. territory or pursuing full statehood. So those are our goals.
00:00:58.780 How has Canada lost their way? How has Canada lost their way to make you think you've got to join us?
00:01:03.240 Part of why it is that people in Alberta are fed up with being governed by idiotic politicians from
00:01:09.720 Quebec and Ontario that do not understand our province and do not understand that culturally
00:01:14.420 we're far more closely affiliated with our friends to the south in Montana than we are with all of the
00:01:20.820 people in Ottawa rigging their hands over the smell of diesel exhaust when people from Alberta come to
00:01:26.660 protest how badly we're being treated by Ottawa.
00:01:34.260 While the rest of Canada seems determined to continue their decay as long as they can keep their
00:01:41.120 elbows up, the province of Alberta continues to move forward in its further integration into the
00:01:48.380 American economy. A majority of Albertans are simply fed up with how the federal government has been
00:01:55.020 running the country into the ground and treating their province badly for many years, especially over
00:02:01.100 the last decade when the liberals under communist drama queen Justin Trudeau turned Canada from a decent
00:02:08.140 and respected country into an international laughing stock and a shadow of its former self.
00:02:14.940 Their woke socialist policies have caused incredible damage to this country. Some would even call it irreversible.
00:02:23.020 Yet those same liberals were rewarded by East and Central Canada with yet another four years in power.
00:02:30.460 An overwhelming majority of Albertans voted conservative. But in Canada, the unfortunate reality is it doesn't matter
00:02:40.700 what Albertans want. Even though they contribute the most per capita, their voices mean nothing in front of
00:02:48.220 those of Quebec and Ontario. This has made many Albertans realize that it is time Alberta leaves Canada and becomes
00:02:57.260 independent, maybe even joining the USA. So let's get into it. Very quickly though, if you enjoy these videos,
00:03:05.180 please do me a solid and subscribe. It's free and you can always unsubscribe later if you change your mind.
00:03:10.940 Thank you and back to the video.
00:03:13.580 Two thirds of UCP voters support independence. It's not a majority of Albertans, but it's two thirds of UCP voters.
00:03:20.780 And traditionally members of a party tend to be more strided, more ideological, uh, more right wing than the,
00:03:29.260 than the public at large. I, if this goes to a vote of UCP members, I have a hard time seeing how this is
00:03:37.180 anything but a pretty resounding yes vote. The tactic of being able to say, we're putting it in the hands of
00:03:42.860 Albertans. If they initiate a referendum, they can have that vote. They can make that decision.
00:03:47.340 That's where it belongs and not within the party. Cause then you can rip your own party very
00:03:53.580 dangerously, or at least your base of support in a general election. I would hope there'd be a spirited
00:03:58.460 discussion and maybe along those lines. And again, I mean, this is as pro independence as we've ever
00:04:02.700 seen from a governing party in this province. And, and there's still room to push it further.
00:04:06.860 The thing is you're going to have huge political machines on the federalist side in this referendum.
00:04:15.260 Uh, you're going to have the Alberta NDP. You're going to have whatever small machines are for the
00:04:21.340 federal and, uh, the federal NDP and the liberals, which in a few pockets, there's something, but
00:04:26.780 nothing big, but the conservative party of Canada is going to do everything it can.
00:04:31.740 They have the most to lose politically with independency.
00:04:34.380 Well, and that's why I'm so committed to it being a grassroots individuals or, you know,
00:04:39.420 groups and movements rather, but trying to get into the party.
00:04:42.060 Canada is going to be here fighting against it surely.
00:04:44.060 And they will under any circumstance.
00:04:45.660 Yeah. And you're going to have the, the Alberta NDP opposing it.
00:04:48.780 As the day gets closer for Albertans to vote in an independence referendum,
00:04:54.540 the more the federal government opposing parties and special interest groups are going to come out of the
00:05:00.780 woodwork to attack and undermine Albertans desire to obtain their sovereignty.
00:05:06.540 It's already happening where there's a concerted effort from leftist organizations
00:05:11.900 to discredit the independence movement.
00:05:14.620 They're already coming up with falsehoods and attack ads.
00:05:18.380 Expect things to get much worse as voting day gets closer.
00:05:22.700 A majority of Alberta conservatives support independence.
00:05:26.620 Some are around 66% and some polls have general support ranging from 40 to 45%.
00:05:34.380 So very close to the 50% plus one that we would need in order to win the vote.
00:05:41.020 The Alberta government knows this, which is why they're careful not to interfere in the citizen-led
00:05:46.940 movement for independence.
00:05:48.940 They don't want to anger their voting base, which seems determined to put independence to a vote in 2026.
00:05:56.620 Albertans are making their voices heard every chance they get,
00:06:00.540 and they're saying it loud and clear. They want independence.
00:06:04.940 Alberta independence is the elephant in this room.
00:06:09.100 Do you support Alberta exiting Canadian Confederation and becoming a sovereign nation?
00:06:14.860 This is something of a summertime tradition in Alberta.
00:06:22.220 This panel on a road trip of sorts, crisscrossing the province, taking the political temperature of Albertans.
00:06:29.420 The premier firmly at the wheel.
00:06:31.820 The conversations that we have tonight and throughout the Alberta Next engagement process
00:06:35.980 will help to shape the future of our province.
00:06:38.300 Go ahead, sir.
00:06:39.180 A build is a way for Albertans to help map out a new place for their province in Canada.
00:06:44.700 I think the Alberta pension plan, personally, is the biggest leverage tool we have in any kind
00:06:50.300 of negotiations with Ottawa.
00:06:51.580 And a chance to vent a bit along the way.
00:06:54.700 I think if we just stopped sending Ottawa money, we would have so much in this province.
00:07:01.660 This town hall is packed. This journey, one these Albertans seem willing to take again.
00:07:08.380 People are frustrated. They're frustrated with the state of their relationship with Ottawa.
00:07:12.220 They're frustrated with decades-long grievances that they haven't felt they've been able to air.
00:07:16.540 Albertans have had enough of seeing their province send billions of dollars to Ottawa
00:07:22.300 and the rest of the country while that same country blocks their development at every chance they get.
00:07:28.620 Albertans are not putting up with it anymore.
00:07:31.660 Patience has run out and they're now demanding change from their government.
00:07:36.780 They're showing up to these town hall meetings that the provincial government is organizing
00:07:41.580 and telling them straight to their face that Alberta should simply stop
00:07:46.140 sending the rest of Canada money altogether, even if it's illegal to stop.
00:07:51.980 That's just how little patience Albertans have for the status quo.
00:07:56.460 The thing is, Albertans have realized that they have options.
00:07:59.740 One of their best and biggest options is to integrate more with the Americans,
00:08:05.580 who seem to be much more supportive of Albertans' aspirations and economic goals.
00:08:11.420 While Canada keeps blocking energy development for Alberta, President Trump offers to restart Keystone XL
00:08:18.940 and other energy projects which will see Alberta more involved in the American economy while the rest of Canada is hostile towards the United States.
00:08:29.500 The Alberta government knows this and they're moving forward with it.
00:08:33.580 You were in Washington and again, the Eastern press was saying,
00:08:38.460 oh, she's down there dealing with Trump.
00:08:40.700 What's he like, first of all?
00:08:42.060 He's open to being convinced by a good argument.
00:08:44.140 He said yes.
00:08:44.780 And what you saw is that he also said he'd like to see a restart of something like a Keystone XL pipeline,
00:08:50.620 maybe a different route.
00:08:51.900 And so that's how I'm proceeding.
00:08:54.140 I would love to see us get to a point where we can build more pipelines in Canada.
00:08:59.100 But if that doesn't happen, then I know that the Americans under this president would be interested in finding a way to get more product down to the U.S.
00:09:07.820 because it just makes sense.
00:09:09.340 We can backfill into the U.S. to keep prices low for their consumers.
00:09:13.100 That allows them to export internationally, which satisfies their national security goals.
00:09:18.300 And it's really a perfect partnership.
00:09:20.060 I think that's why we don't have tariffs on oil and gas right now is because it is such a good relationship where we both benefit.
00:09:25.820 All right. Thanks for watching.
00:09:27.660 Thank you for subscribing.
00:09:29.020 Special thanks to those of you who have donated to this project.
00:09:32.220 It is much appreciated and it helps me continue making videos.
00:09:35.900 See you on the next one.
00:09:37.180 Peace.
