00:00:00.480 I've got some great news for Alberta Patriots, Freedom Fighters, supporters, and pretty much everyone who's been involved in this movement one way or another.
00:00:11.560 The Alberta Independence Train is in amazing shape and it's moving forward with incredible momentum.
00:00:17.980 Volunteer canvassers and signature collectors for independence have now broken records in the province of Alberta.
00:00:25.220 And I'm excited to share this story with you.
00:00:28.120 So stick around as we break down the latest developments coming out of Alberta, as well as the recently broken record by Alberta Patriots.
00:00:37.400 But first, why is it that Albertans want to separate from Canada to begin with?
00:00:42.920 Let's talk about it.
00:00:44.120 For Albertans, these attacks on our province by our own federal government have become unbearable.
00:00:49.980 As I said, these policies have cost Albertans roughly a half a trillion dollars in investment.
00:00:55.460 And that loss is growing daily.
00:00:56.980 It has and will continue to cost hundreds of thousands of jobs, robbing countless Albertans and other Canadians of their means of providing for their families.
00:01:05.760 It has cost us a decade of opportunities and tens of billions in lost royalties that could have been invested in the health, education, infrastructure, and social services Albertans and Canadians need.
00:01:18.000 And what's worse, Ottawa continues onward with more destructive policies.
00:01:22.380 Other parts of Canada, they're like, you know, they're like these blue states in the U.S., the hardcore Democrats.
00:01:27.940 They think the most important thing to do is to display pride flags.
00:01:33.480 And, you know, we started off with having Pride Week and LBGTQ stuff as a day.
00:01:39.520 And then it became a week.
00:01:40.460 And then it became a month.
00:01:41.580 And it's a national celebration for a month.
00:01:43.720 And all of these extremely progressive views, wide open immigration.
00:01:48.700 Our immigration numbers are out of control.
00:01:52.120 So their mindset in the rest of Canada is very much left-leaning, very much wanting government to look after everything, wanting government to care for every aspect of their life.
00:02:03.400 Whereas those of us in the West on the prairies in Alberta and Saskatchewan, no, we don't think government's very good at doing much of anything.
00:02:10.380 We'll look after our own problems.
00:02:12.340 We're rugged individualism.
00:02:13.900 So there is an incredible divide in Canada.
00:02:16.600 Canada is not a nation that's united with common values anymore at all.
00:02:23.400 The rest of the country has gone very hard left, whereas Alberta and Saskatchewan have stayed true to conservative principles.
00:02:30.640 The reality we're facing in modern-day Canada is that the differences that have always existed between the prairie provinces, particularly Alberta and Saskatchewan, with the rest of Canada,
00:02:42.100 are now more pronounced and intolerable than they've ever been.
00:02:46.720 You see, support for Alberta's separation is nothing new.
00:02:51.060 Albertans have known for a long time that things are not fair for prairie provinces in confederation.
00:02:57.720 That Ottawa has always viewed Alberta and Saskatchewan as resource colonies for eastern Canada.
00:03:04.060 While it seems Albertans have finally had enough, though, support for independence has never been higher.
00:03:10.160 The movement to separate from Canada has seen unprecedented momentum, and this is something that Canada can no longer ignore.
00:03:18.680 So they now moved into attack mode, getting their media lapdogs to lie about American support for Alberta independence,
00:03:26.640 and then some lunatics on the left even resorting to violence against volunteers.
00:03:32.420 Under the Elections Act, they can be fined $25,000 and be subject to jail if they are physically interfering with canvassing,
00:03:43.100 because, you know, canvassing for citizens' initiative petition, because this is a sanctioned Elections Alberta process
00:03:49.040 in the same way that having a ballot on election day is a sanctioned process.
00:03:53.220 If you go into a polling place and disrupt the polling place, you will be arrested.
00:03:57.900 Well, I'm calling out to all of our canvassers that if any of these jackwagons show up where you're at,
00:04:02.780 get off your camera, film them, take video of them, take pictures of their snarling little lefty faces,
00:04:08.540 and phone the police, have them arrested.
00:04:11.000 You know, get their license plate numbers.
00:04:12.680 $25,000 fines, right?
00:04:14.520 Again, I love the fact that all of their sources were unnamed.
00:04:23.940 The one guy that says, this is irresponsible as hell, I mean, just demonstrates that Trump hasn't reached down far enough
00:04:30.580 into the State Department to fire all of the Hillary Clinton and Obama holdovers, right?
00:04:36.120 And I think there needs to be some more firing going on there.
00:04:38.700 There may well be when they root this guy out.
00:04:40.520 But I've subsequently had discussions with my contacts at the State Department.
00:04:46.080 They told me just to ignore all this, and they're in the process of tracking down all of the unnamed sources
00:04:50.900 who didn't have authority to speak on these issues, and things will proceed from there.
00:04:57.060 Now, I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again.
00:05:00.340 The anti-independence people don't really have an argument for why Alberta should stay a part of Canada
00:05:06.760 other than insults, attacks, nostalgia for a country that no longer exists.
00:05:13.280 But there really isn't a single coherent, defensible argument, whether economically, culturally, or geographically,
00:05:20.380 that they provide or are willing to provide to Albertans.
00:05:24.980 And the more insults and attacks that they throw our way, the more support continues to grow.
00:05:30.280 The perfect example of this reality is the fact that Alberta independent supporters just broke the record
00:05:36.760 for the largest number of registered volunteer canvassers and signature collectors in Alberta's history.
00:05:44.920 No other cause in Alberta has attracted more volunteers than Alberta's effort to become independent from Canada.
00:05:52.100 7,500 accredited canvassers, and the previous record was around, like, 5,000.
00:05:59.040 And we're not even halfway through the process yet.
00:06:02.140 So what does that tell you?
00:06:03.680 A citizen-led petition calling for Alberta to seek independence from Canada is gaining momentum across the province.
00:06:11.080 Alberta needs to be strong and free from the chakos of the Libra government.
00:06:17.640 We're tired. We don't matter in this relationship, and it has to stop.
00:06:23.280 I think we've had enough.
00:06:25.420 The Stay Free Alberta campaign is collecting signatures for the chance to vote on the question,
00:06:30.320 do you agree that the province of Alberta should cease to be a part of Canada to become an independent state?
00:06:36.480 That's the question that they're hoping for.
00:06:38.220 The push comes as new polling suggests support for Alberta sovereignty is on the rise.
00:06:43.760 Alberta! Alberta proud!
00:06:46.660 We've supported Canada for too long.
00:06:49.280 The Alberta Prosperity Project's push to see Alberta leave Canada has drawn crowds here in Okotoks, just south of Calgary.
00:06:56.900 It's the latest stop to draw long lines, and those involved say that they're not surprised.
00:07:02.080 I really believe that this shows how people really feel about what's going on.
00:07:08.320 Lineups began before petitioners had scheduled to start.
00:07:11.680 Folks in line saying they have been fed up with the federal government for too long.
00:07:16.660 Blue collar, working in the trades, usually those are the kind of people that suffer the most, I think.
00:07:23.940 They work the hardest, and they have the hardest time with the economy.
00:07:28.060 Okotoks is one of the latest towns in the province to see an organized effort to collect signatures on the citizen petition.
00:07:35.500 Since the petition was approved at the start of January, its provincial tour has drawn crowds,
00:07:41.540 including these scenes in Red Deer, these in Millet, south of Edmonton, and in Calgary.
00:07:47.400 The pictures they're showing you, it's exactly like these people lined up around the corner down the road.
00:07:53.380 Petitioners have until the beginning of May to collect more than 177,000 signatures as required by Elections Alberta.
00:08:01.220 The Canada that you grew up in no longer exists, and the Alberta independence petition is the best way forward for your family and a free future.
00:08:11.680 Now, if you haven't already signed the Alberta independence petition, I highly recommend that you go and do so.
00:08:18.680 Do your own research and obviously look up everything that you need to before you sign.
00:08:23.320 However, the more you look into it, the more you realize that there's almost no downsides.
00:08:28.320 You will be able to earn more money.
00:08:30.520 You will be able to raise your kids in a free and independent Alberta.
00:08:34.860 And you will be able to have even a new, stronger passport than the Canadian passport.
00:08:41.140 Alberta could be one of the strongest countries in the world once it separates.
00:08:46.220 And you will see this once it happens.
00:08:48.860 Well, thank you for watching.
