Summary

It seems every week, another Alberta institution is quietly caught in the cord. First, it was the oil and gas industry creating their own deals with the United States to ship more oil south of the border, and now, the agricultural sector is also joining in. Alberta's beef industry has announced that by 2026, they'll be completely separating from their Canadian counterparts. That's the same year Albertans head to the polls to vote on independence. And then you have groups like the Alberta Prosperity Project already drafting an interim constitution modeled after the American one, with real protections for free speech and even gun rights.

00:00:00.000 Despite our efforts in asking for change, we have not seen meaningful progression or willingness to address these concerns.
00:00:07.020 We owe it to Alberta cattle producers to ensure their dollars are invested in organizations that will align with their values and priorities.
00:00:14.840 Within the next two weeks, we're going to be issuing a draft interim constitution for an independent Alberta
00:00:20.980 so that Albertans can understand how much more their rights will be protected and respected in an independent Alberta
00:00:28.140 as opposed to the mess that we've got right now with a Westminster Parliament in Edmonton
00:00:33.060 and a Westminster Parliament in Ottawa that have no respect for us as citizens because they regard us as subjects.
00:00:42.840 Hey everybody, it's PJ.
00:00:45.240 It seems Albertans continue to move towards completely separating from Canada with each passing day.
00:00:51.400 I mean, every week it feels like another Alberta institution is quietly caught in the cord.
00:00:56.320 First, it was the oil and gas industry creating their own deals with the United States to ship more oil south of the border.
00:01:05.260 And now, the agricultural sector is also joining in.
00:01:09.420 Alberta's beef industry, which is a big chunk of the provincial economy,
00:01:13.680 has announced that by 2026 they'll be completely separating from their Canadian counterparts.
00:01:19.340 Gotta love the timing, right?
00:01:20.920 That's the same year Albertans head to the polls to vote on independence.
00:01:25.780 And then you have groups like the Alberta Prosperity Project already drafting an interim constitution modeled after the American one
00:01:34.300 with real protections for free speech and even gun rights like the Second Amendment.
00:01:39.580 We're going to be covering this and other details you're not going to want to miss.
00:01:43.700 So let's get into it.
00:01:44.820 Very quickly though, if you enjoy these videos, please do me a solid and subscribe.
00:01:49.600 It's free and you can always unsubscribe later if you change your mind.
00:01:53.220 Thank you and back to the video.
00:01:54.940 We're in a marathon here.
00:01:56.360 This is not a sprint.
00:01:57.340 And we have to gird ourselves for those who support independence and reforming Canada through which independence can cause.
00:02:04.760 And Alberta becoming a free and independent country.
00:02:07.000 This is not a short journey.
00:02:08.420 This is a difficult climb.
00:02:10.700 But it's totally doable in my view.
00:02:12.440 And I've tried to think of every way that they could, the federal government, the Laurentian elite, those who have an economic interest, who profit from Albertans' hard work and exploit it, could try to mess this up.
00:02:28.920 And everything I've thought of, there's a workaround to defeat it.
00:02:32.040 We know that the resources that will be available to the government to deliver critical services are going to go through the roof, right?
00:02:39.560 Like they're really going to be easier for government.
00:02:42.720 The cost of living will go down.
00:02:44.660 Housing affordability and rent affordability will go up.
00:02:47.560 It will be a tremendous opportunity for our young people to have a prosperous future.
00:02:52.580 We could become a role model in how, if you remove excessive regulations and red tape and create an environment for businesses to thrive, that the prosperity that that will bring, that will lift us all up and create a remarkable opportunity for Albertans.
00:03:09.640 So there's a lot of optimism out there.
00:03:12.000 I think it's real.
00:03:13.160 It's well-founded.
00:03:14.140 If anybody stands to gain the most from independence, it's Alberta's younger generation.
00:03:19.800 Right now, they're stuck with the fallout of Canada's broken system.
00:03:25.040 Owning a house?
00:03:26.340 Forget it.
00:03:27.560 A decent job?
00:03:28.980 Not when businesses are rewarded for hiring cheap foreign workers.
00:03:33.660 And the jobs they do get?
00:03:35.740 Barely cover rent and food, let alone building a future.
00:03:39.880 It's no wonder so many are fed up.
00:03:42.460 Independence actually offers a way out.
00:03:45.220 Lower taxes, less immigration,
00:03:47.240 the deportation of illegal immigrants,
00:03:49.760 and a cost of living that doesn't require you to sell a kidney to survive.
00:03:54.220 Of course, Canada's ruling class isn't going to just let Alberta walk away.
00:03:58.540 They'll pull every dirty trick in the book.
00:04:01.460 Because keeping Alberta shackled means keeping the cash flowing to the east.
00:04:06.340 But history shows us, from Brexit to the velvet divorce,
00:04:10.740 when people want freedom badly enough, nothing can stop them.
00:04:14.740 The Alberta beef producers have announced plans to leave the Canadian Cattle Association.
00:04:19.660 APB has taken issue with the association's governance and a lack of Alberta representation.
00:04:24.420 Quinn Keenan has more.
00:04:26.280 About 50% of the Canadian Cattle Association's funding comes from Alberta beef producers.
00:04:31.960 But that may soon change.
00:04:34.160 APB says it intends to split from the CCA when their agreement ends June 30, 2026.
00:04:40.880 Right at the moment, we are still a member of CCA.
00:04:44.340 And we'll work with them in all areas of national development as we move forward.
00:04:50.560 The producers say they're concerned about the CCA's governance and fiscal transparency.
00:04:55.780 They suggested bringing in an independent third party to review the governance structure.
00:05:01.020 Only a third of the CCA's 27-member board is from Alberta, despite bringing in half the money.
00:05:07.260 Despite our efforts in asking for change, we have not seen meaningful progression or willingness to address these concerns.
00:05:14.420 We owe it to Alberta cattle producers to ensure their dollars are invested in organizations that will align with their values and priorities.
00:05:22.200 The CCA was surprised by the announcement.
00:05:25.200 They admit the APB leaving would be a huge financial blow.
00:05:29.680 Quite simply did not anticipate any kind of an announcement like that and very disappointed.
00:05:35.760 I found, you know, I was really preparing to engage in a lot of the issues that they had raised.
00:05:46.720 There's a belief on both sides that a deal could be reached before the APB's exit.
00:05:51.760 Conversations since the announcement have helped clarify Alberta's concerns.
00:05:56.400 I really feel like we're on the same page.
00:05:59.220 We're both motivated to ensure that going forward, CCA is an effective, unified national voice for beef producers.
00:06:10.680 Alberta beef producers will stick to their financial commitments up until its intended departure date.
00:06:16.040 This move by Alberta ranchers is honestly a perfect Snapchat of a bigger picture.
00:06:23.260 Alberta provides over half of the budget for the Canadian Cattle Association, and in return, they only get a third of the representation.
00:06:32.380 Classic Canada, right?
00:06:34.100 Take Alberta's money, but ignore their voice.
00:06:36.800 Well, the ranchers have finally had enough.
00:06:40.020 They're cutting ties completely in 2026, which is the exact same year independence referendum is coming.
00:06:47.300 It's almost like Albertans are starting to connect the dots.
00:06:50.560 And of course, the head of Canada's Cattle Association says he's surprised and disappointed.
00:06:56.800 Oh, really?
00:06:58.000 Surprised that Albertans don't enjoy being treated like cash cows?
00:07:01.880 Disappointed that they've stopped being the suckers of this federation?
00:07:05.480 Yeah, Albertans know their worth now, and the rest of Canada better get used to seeing more and more of Alberta separating from anything Canada.
00:07:15.040 That's why folks are realizing that independence isn't just an idea anymore.
00:07:19.680 It's the only way forward at this point.
00:07:21.980 After independence, after fully costing and paying for an Alberta military at 3% of GDP with a billion and a half dollars in startup costs,
00:07:31.140 Department of External Affairs, Department of Immigration, and most importantly, Deportation,
00:07:36.640 the Department of Customs and Border Patrol, all those types of things, airports, navigation,
00:07:42.780 tripling the spend on Indigenous people in the province of Alberta through constitutionalized resource revenue sharing
00:07:48.780 to lift the Indigenous people of Alberta out of the poverty that Canada has left them in for 150 years.
00:07:55.380 After paying for all of that, the fiscal plan that we published demonstrates that we're going to have between approximately
00:08:02.240 a $30 to $50 billion a year annual fiscal capacity surplus, which could be applied to, you know, 30 to 50% tax cuts in year one.
00:08:13.420 So we're very excited about it.
00:08:14.980 The other thing that I wanted to note for people to go, oh, this is all pie in the sky, and these numbers are ridiculous.
00:08:21.020 Things can't be that good. This is too good to be true, you know, all that nonsense.
00:08:25.720 The funniest thing about this document, when we published it, we published it on the basis of last year's Alberta budget numbers,
00:08:33.760 which showed a $6.5 billion deficit.
00:08:36.920 So this year, they posted an $8.5 billion surplus.
00:08:40.580 So if we'd waited a week before publishing the document, the fiscal capacity surplus of Alberta would have actually been $15 billion higher than is indicated in the plan that we published.
00:08:53.540 So obviously, you know, we're very excited about this document.
00:08:57.160 I'm urging everybody that's interested in Alberta freedom and the value of freedom to go to albertaprosperity.project.com and download the document.
