Summary

A growing number of Albertans are waking up to something that has been in their face for decades. Ottawa does not represent us, and always has. Their main goal is to control our wealth and exploit our wealth in the east so they can buy votes in Ontario and Quebec.

00:00:00.000 I mean, just quickly, you know, Senate seats as an example, right?
00:00:04.380 Newfoundland has basically, what, double the population of Red Deer?
00:00:08.260 They have six Senate seats.
00:00:10.280 Prince Edward Island has four Senate seats.
00:00:12.940 Nova Scotia and New Brunswick each have ten.
00:00:15.300 So collectively, the Maritimes, right, with half the population of Alberta,
00:00:20.640 collectively they have two and a half million people,
00:00:23.100 they have 30 Senate seats to our six, right?
00:00:27.020 That is easily one of the most egregious examples of taxation without representation in North America today.
00:00:34.000 Along with the socialist nightmare called equalization,
00:00:37.560 the distribution and allocation of Senate seats in Canada is something straight out of colonial times.
00:00:43.460 If you wanted an obvious and clear example of how Eastern Canada is viewed as more important than the West,
00:00:49.520 you can't beat this map right here.
00:00:51.080 Canada's East Coast, what we call the Maritime Provinces, have a population of around 2.5 million people
00:00:58.360 and in total have 30 Senate seats representing their interest in the Canadian Senate.
00:01:04.500 Alberta, on the other hand, has a population of little over 5 million people, twice as big,
00:01:10.740 but it only has six senators sitting in the Canadian Senate.
00:01:13.720 All of these senators appointed by the Prime Minister, by the way,
00:01:18.400 as in not elected by the people they're supposed to represent.
00:01:22.300 These are facts and yet another reason more and more Albertans want independence as supposed to reform.
00:01:28.480 Those who attack independence arguing that Albertans complain over nothing
00:01:32.400 don't know what the hell they're talking about.
00:01:34.840 Hey everybody, PJ here.
00:01:43.000 Looks like it's finally Friday.
00:01:45.000 Hope you all have a great weekend.
00:01:47.180 In today's report, we're going to take a look at a video by a podcaster from Alberta called
00:01:52.080 Great Northern Discussions,
00:01:54.520 where the host explains how he was once undecided about Alberta independence,
00:01:59.760 but after attending one of the Alberta Prosperity Project's town halls,
00:02:03.340 he came to a realization.
00:02:05.760 The only real solution for Alberta to survive and actually thrive
00:02:09.520 is to walk away from Canada and become an independent nation.
00:02:13.400 We'll also break down a recent Rebel News interview between Jeffrey Rath and Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:02:19.680 They talk about a document called The Value of Freedom,
00:02:23.340 produced by the Alberta Prosperity Project.
00:02:26.080 Basically a proposed budget for what Alberta could look like financially as a sovereign country.
00:02:32.040 Even with conservative numbers, the surpluses are massive.
00:02:36.540 You're not going to want to miss this one.
00:02:38.680 Let's get into it.
00:02:39.620 Trust me, this actually pains me to get here and talk like this,
00:02:44.660 but I see no path forward anymore as a province within Canada.
00:02:53.640 We have everything that the world wants right here in Alberta,
00:02:58.820 including beef, you know, our ag.
00:03:02.100 You know, they're coming after farmers as well.
00:03:04.320 Like, it's just about government control.
00:03:06.240 And you know what?
00:03:09.000 We want less government.
00:03:10.480 We keep electing people back in who want more government.
00:03:13.340 It's like you want them to control your life.
00:03:17.660 We don't get it.
00:03:18.880 I don't get it here.
00:03:20.200 A lot of us don't get it.
00:03:21.180 It's like you want this government controlling your life.
00:03:24.760 Well, we don't like that here.
00:03:27.340 We like to work hard.
00:03:28.700 Put your head down.
00:03:30.040 Work hard.
00:03:31.280 Make hay and stay the F out of my business.
00:03:34.460 That's what we like.
00:03:36.260 Who do you think fought back the hardest during the COVID times?
00:03:40.400 Where'd the convoy start, right?
00:03:42.840 We're a target because we fight back the hardest.
00:03:47.100 I never thought I would say this until I went to that town hall.
00:03:51.900 And so I urge everybody, because I was half in the water anyway.
00:03:56.040 I think I told you that I was half in the water.
00:03:59.800 Everybody needs to go to an Alberta Prosperity Project town hall
00:04:05.000 and just sit and listen.
00:04:07.080 I just, I flipped and I see no path forward.
00:04:12.400 And I actually think we could become Dubai or Monaco, our country.
00:04:17.180 And so this is, this is a separate movement to get that referendum to let us vote on it.
00:04:26.400 A growing number of Albertans are waking up to something that honestly has been in our face for decades.
00:04:32.860 Ottawa does not represent us.
00:04:34.920 Never has.
00:04:35.660 Their main goal is, and always has been, to control Alberta,
00:04:40.320 exploit our industries and transfer our wealth east so they can buy votes in Ontario and Quebec.
00:04:46.040 Let's be real.
00:04:48.180 They hate that Alberta stood tall during the virus years.
00:04:51.700 They hate that the trucker convoy started right here.
00:04:55.140 So now they see Alberta as the biggest threat to their control, and they act like it.
00:04:59.960 That's exactly why I keep encouraging everyone in Alberta who's watching this to go to an APP town hall or rally.
00:05:07.720 These aren't protests.
00:05:09.160 They're real forums where you can ask questions and hear real answers.
00:05:13.040 Connect with other Albertans who are just as frustrated and just as ready as you are.
00:05:18.520 These events are free.
00:05:19.940 They're happening all over the province this summer,
00:05:22.000 and they might be the most important conversations we have.
00:05:25.280 After independence, after fully costing and paying for an Alberta military at 3% of GDP
00:05:32.260 with $1.5 billion in startup costs, Department of External Affairs,
00:05:36.580 Department of Immigration, and most importantly, deportation,
00:05:40.220 the Department of Customs and Border Patrol, all those types of things, airports, navigation,
00:05:46.340 tripling the spend on Indigenous people in the province of Alberta
00:05:49.800 through constitutionalized resource revenue sharing
00:05:52.340 to lift the Indigenous people of Alberta out of the poverty
00:05:56.200 that Canada has left them in for 150 years.
00:05:59.180 After paying for all of that, the fiscal plan that we published
00:06:02.700 demonstrates that we're going to have between approximately
00:06:05.800 a $30 to $50 billion a year annual fiscal capacity surplus,
00:06:12.400 which could be applied to, you know, 30 to 50% tax cuts in year one.
00:06:16.980 So we're very excited about it.
00:06:18.480 The other thing that I wanted to note for people to go,
00:06:21.500 oh, this is all pie in the sky, and these numbers are ridiculous.
00:06:24.980 Things can't be that good.
00:06:26.580 This is too good to be true, you know, all that nonsense.
00:06:29.280 The funniest thing about this document, when we published it,
00:06:32.720 we published it on the basis of last year's Alberta budget numbers,
00:06:37.320 which showed a $6.5 billion deficit.
00:06:40.140 So this year, they posted an $8.5 billion surplus.
00:06:44.700 So if we'd waited a week before publishing the document,
00:06:47.860 the fiscal capacity surplus of Alberta would have actually been $15 billion
00:06:52.800 higher than is indicated in the plan that we published.
00:06:57.100 So obviously, you know, we're very excited about this document.
00:07:00.720 I'm urging everybody that's interested in Alberta freedom
00:07:03.940 and the value of freedom to go to albertaprosperity.project.com
00:07:09.160 and download the document.
00:07:10.900 Here's what the government paid media will never tell you.
00:07:14.360 An independent Alberta wouldn't just be fine.
00:07:17.500 It'd be one of the richest countries on the planet.
00:07:20.360 All the programs we have today, fully covered.
00:07:23.600 In fact, we could expand critical areas like military, healthcare,
00:07:28.140 and even deportations, which we desperately need
00:07:31.840 given the federal government's out-of-control immigration policies.
00:07:36.040 The pro-independence side has the documents, facts, and numbers.
00:07:40.820 Those against it?
00:07:42.180 All they've got is fear, name-calling, and empty insults.
00:07:46.600 They scream, we're gonna be landlocked, traitors, and whatever else
00:07:50.840 because they know they can't win this debate on facts, logic, or numbers.
00:07:55.820 Ask yourself this.
00:07:56.940 When was the last time the other side released a single detailed plan or projection
00:08:02.980 proving that Alberta is better off staying in Canada?
00:08:06.560 You haven't seen it, and you won't see it
00:08:09.220 because their entire strategy is emotional manipulation and gaslighting.
00:08:14.160 Nostalgia for something that used to be and no longer is.
00:08:18.640 Alright, thanks for watching.
00:08:20.360 Thank you for subscribing.
00:08:21.820 Special thanks to those of you who have donated to this project.
00:08:24.500 It is much appreciated, and it helps me continue making videos.
00:08:28.620 See you on the next one.
00:08:29.960 Peace.
00:08:30.280 Peace.
00:08:30.720 Peace.
00:08:31.100 Peace.
00:08:31.760 Bye.
