00:00:00.000 We can't rely on the Americans anymore.
00:00:02.420 As simple as that.
00:00:03.500 I love the Americans, by the way.
00:00:05.540 I love the people.
00:00:07.820 Love the elected officials, except one.
00:00:10.540 Half of the electorate in Alberta wants to succeed.
00:00:14.240 I know, I know.
00:00:16.020 You know, Trump is very much playing into their hands.
00:00:18.800 He knows that is where the money is.
00:00:20.940 Of course, they send so much more money to Ottawa than they get back from.
00:00:25.620 They're having a referendum early in the year.
00:00:27.280 From the Premier of Ontario showing that it's still suffering from a strong case of Trump derangement syndrome,
00:00:33.620 to Fox News covering the topic of Alberta independence on national TV,
00:00:38.460 and a brand new Alberta and Saskatchewan pipeline announcement that you won't want to miss.
00:00:43.180 We have a great report for you today.
00:00:45.600 As many of you know, in the western Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan,
00:00:50.780 there has been a consistent and significant push to become independent from Canada,
00:00:55.480 as in separating and becoming their own country,
00:00:59.000 or possibly joining America as new states or territories.
00:01:03.180 One of the main reasons, among others,
00:01:05.460 for these two provinces having had enough with Canada to the point that they want to separate,
00:01:10.480 is how for well over a decade,
00:01:12.380 the Canadian federal government hasn't allowed them to develop their energy resources
00:01:17.060 and critical mineral extraction.
00:01:19.220 Both industries have been attacked constantly by unreasonable federal laws and regulations,
00:01:25.080 but it seems that Alberta and Saskatchewan have had enough
00:01:28.480 and are creating a western alliance to fight back against federal overreach.
00:01:33.580 Let's dive in.
00:01:34.880 Very quickly though, if you enjoy these videos,
00:01:37.440 please do me a solid and subscribe.
00:01:39.380 It's free and you can always unsubscribe later if you change your mind.
00:01:43.000 Thank you and back to the video.
00:01:44.700 The national self-sabotage that has happened over the last 10 years has to end.
00:01:50.020 That's what I mean by enough is enough.
00:01:51.800 We cannot keep on fighting against these kinds of nation-building projects,
00:01:57.480 these revenue-generating projects,
00:02:00.420 and then still have aspirations to add more and more social programs at the federal level.
00:02:04.560 It doesn't make sense.
00:02:05.820 If you want to support the expansion of social programs to help your people,
00:02:11.020 you've got to generate wealth to tax in order to be able to do it.
00:02:14.840 We can work with a coalition of the willing of the western provinces and territories,
00:02:18.640 which seems to be solidifying.
00:02:20.060 Quebec has substantial national gas resources,
00:02:23.380 and they should develop their own pipelines for their own interests.
00:02:26.460 They should use it to develop their own royalty structure,
00:02:30.000 so they can develop their own revenue,
00:02:31.540 to pay for their own services for their own people,
00:02:33.780 so that they don't have to rely on transfers that largely come from western Canada.
00:02:37.300 Over the next number of weeks and months,
00:02:39.540 those statements are very quickly going to have to transition into actions.
00:02:43.940 Actions in the way of repealing certain pieces of legislation,
00:02:47.140 changing a number of regulations.
00:02:48.940 I'm far more interested in working with the coalition of the willing,
00:02:52.960 with those who already get it,
00:02:55.080 and already see how we can mutually help each other,
00:02:57.840 rather than trying to push water up a hill.
00:03:00.080 You know, there's only so many years Alberta and Saskatchewan can sit at the table
00:03:04.300 and pretend Ottawa's actually listening.
00:03:07.000 The truth is, they've run out of patience.
00:03:10.100 The federal government's made a career out of promising action and delivering delay.
00:03:15.320 So now, Alberta and Saskatchewan are taking matters into their own hands.
00:03:19.580 They're tired of watching Quebec raking billions through equalization payments,
00:03:24.540 while their own industries get strangled by red tape.
00:03:27.640 And all of this with the blessing from a liberal government
00:03:31.520 that's more concerned about a peace in Toronto and Montreal
00:03:34.440 than supporting the economic engines of the West.
00:03:38.460 So here's what's happening.
00:03:40.200 The West is finally teaming up.
00:03:42.480 Alberta and Saskatchewan are aligning their economies and their sovereignty goals,
00:03:46.640 building momentum without waiting for some mythical approval from Ottawa.
00:03:50.440 People have speculated for years that the West would have to likely form a united front
00:03:56.020 to push back on federal overreach.
00:03:58.640 And guess what?
00:03:59.900 It's happening.
00:04:01.300 Alberta is a global energy powerhouse on its own.
00:04:04.800 But throw in there Saskatchewan's minerals and agriculture,
00:04:08.060 and you've got a geopolitical force.
00:04:10.520 Even Ontario seems to be catching on.
00:04:13.500 Premier Ford's been trying to cozy up to the West lately,
00:04:17.000 probably because he's starting to see which way the wind is blowing.
00:04:20.440 My good friend, the governor of Michigan,
00:04:22.920 and she's known her from day one,
00:04:26.120 constantly threatens to cut off line five.
00:04:29.160 That would basically shut down our airport,
00:04:31.080 shut down a big part of Ontario,
00:04:34.200 and we can't chance it any longer.
00:04:36.460 We need to be independent.
00:04:38.660 We need a pipeline going to southwestern Ontario
00:04:41.660 to one of the refineries and be self-reliant.
00:04:45.400 We can't rely on the Americans anymore.
00:04:47.800 As simple as that.
00:04:48.760 I love the Americans, by the way.
00:04:50.440 I love the people.
00:04:51.740 I love the elected officials, except one.
00:04:56.120 As Premier Smith and Premier Moe said,
00:05:00.220 we have to be leaders in the G7 when it comes to our economy.
00:05:03.260 First, as an oil producing region,
00:05:05.620 and providing oil at the highest price possible,
00:05:09.720 the number one priority economically
00:05:11.500 is for us in western Canada
00:05:13.160 to have access to the northwest coast.
00:05:15.640 That will shrink the differential.
00:05:17.380 That will provide additional egress capacity into the U.S.
00:05:20.420 Some of that does come, yes, back up into Canada.
00:05:23.180 But to the oil industry,
00:05:24.860 from an economic perspective,
00:05:26.900 that is the priority.
00:05:28.620 And Premier Smith will have much more to say on this
00:05:31.120 as the largest oil producing province in Canada
00:05:34.200 by a great margin.
00:05:37.100 I've said that I'm supportive of pipelines northeast and west.
00:05:41.600 I'd like to see all of them built.
00:05:43.600 To Scott's point,
00:05:44.580 clearly for opening up new markets,
00:05:46.200 our best opportunity
00:05:47.040 is to build a pipeline to the northwest B.C. coast
00:05:49.980 in order to access the Asian markets.
00:05:52.580 But if we can begin by creating
00:05:54.360 a pipeline option
00:05:56.080 that will at least help us to get to Ontario
00:05:58.620 so that we can satisfy the needs of this market,
00:06:00.880 I think that that'll give energy security to the country.
00:06:03.000 And that's probably something that's long overdue.
00:06:04.760 We probably should have done it decades ago.
00:06:06.820 But we didn't do it decades ago,
00:06:08.800 but now we can do it now.
00:06:10.260 And I hope we'll be able to do that.
00:06:12.060 Did you know that Canada is still importing oil
00:06:14.960 from Arab countries?
00:06:16.900 Think about that for a second.
00:06:18.900 We've got Alberta sitting on enough ethically produced oil
00:06:22.460 to fuel this entire country a thousand times over.
00:06:26.600 But no.
00:06:27.320 Eastern Canada would rather buy oil from OPEC.
00:06:31.720 And why?
00:06:32.760 Because building a pipeline from Alberta
00:06:34.760 is apparently too controversial.
00:06:38.260 Makes zero sense.
00:06:40.440 Unless, of course,
00:06:41.480 you consider that Ottawa's energy policy
00:06:43.920 is less about logic
00:06:45.280 and more about virtue signaling
00:06:47.560 and catering to the east.
00:06:49.900 Alberta and Saskatchewan
00:06:51.080 aren't asking politely anymore, though.
00:06:53.700 They're demanding access to tight water
00:06:56.160 and fast approval for major projects.
00:06:58.880 Pipelines, mines, energy infrastructure.
00:07:02.800 They're done playing nice
00:07:04.200 while Ottawa plays favorites.
00:07:06.240 No more capital went to Canada for the last decade.
00:07:08.600 That's why the Canadian dollar dropped.
00:07:10.380 They have one thing that everybody needs.
00:07:12.580 Power.
00:07:13.660 Unlimited power.
00:07:15.360 In the lowest cost for North America.
00:07:17.720 Watch what happens.
00:07:19.160 Because I'm trying to figure out
00:07:20.720 in the old hockey analogy,
00:07:21.860 where's the puck going next?
00:07:22.880 It's going to the power.
00:07:24.420 So I'm taking some big bets,
00:07:26.060 mostly in Alberta,
00:07:27.200 where they're very pro.
00:07:28.980 And Bergam made a deal there
00:07:30.320 for only 10% tariff on oil.
00:07:32.380 He was pretty smart to do that
00:07:34.040 with Daniel Smith, the premier.
00:07:36.440 I got a good feeling about that.
00:07:39.360 Power is what we all need
00:07:41.420 all across North America.
00:07:43.020 And I think that's going to work out.
00:07:45.140 I just want to say
00:07:46.060 they are our northern border.
00:07:47.660 We need to have relationships with them
00:07:49.580 that are positive, in my view.
00:07:50.860 I see that as the wife of a Canadian.
00:07:53.540 Three cents a kilowatt hour.
00:07:55.500 You can't find that anywhere
00:07:56.720 in the States right now.
00:07:57.660 They got it.
00:07:58.400 Although, you know,
00:07:58.980 you mentioned Alberta.
00:08:00.500 Half of the electorate in Alberta
00:08:02.960 wants to succeed.
00:08:04.420 I know, I know.
00:08:05.820 You know, Trump is very much
00:08:07.400 playing into their hands.
00:08:08.600 He knows that is where the money is.
00:08:10.740 Of course, they send so much more money
00:08:12.600 to Ottawa than they get back from.
00:08:15.420 They're having a referendum
00:08:16.300 early in the year
00:08:17.100 just to quell that whole separatism thing.
00:08:19.920 Good luck.
00:08:20.620 Might quell it, might,
00:08:21.660 might blame it a little bit though.
00:08:23.720 Meanwhile.
00:08:24.340 All right.
00:08:24.780 Thanks for watching.
00:08:25.900 Thank you for subscribing.
00:08:27.340 Special thanks to those of you
00:08:28.580 who have donated to this project.
00:08:30.420 It is much appreciated
00:08:31.540 and it helps me continue making videos.
00:08:34.140 See you on the next one.
00:08:35.480 Peace.
00:08:35.800 Peace.
00:08:39.860 Peace.
00:08:41.860 Peace.
00:08:45.860 Peace.
00:08:45.920 Peace.
00:08:46.000 Peace.
00:08:46.040 Peace.
00:08:46.420 Peace.
00:08:46.980 Peace.
00:08:47.040 Peace.
00:08:47.580 Peace.
00:08:47.900 Peace.
00:08:47.980 Peace.
00:08:48.040 Peace.
00:08:48.100 Peace.
00:08:49.040 Peace.
