00:00:00.000
alberta and saskatchewan are pursuing their full independence from canada both of these provinces
00:00:06.480
both in the prairies are looking to separate from the rest of canada even though alberta is
00:00:13.520
farther ahead in the process of obtaining their independence soon to have a referendum this
00:00:20.240
doesn't mean that the people of saskatchewan don't have just as much desire to gain their
00:00:25.840
sovereignty and separate from the rest of canada as much as alberta does now many people in alberta
00:00:31.360
and saskatchewan that are part of the independence movement will love to see the provinces become the
00:00:36.880
51st and 52nd states but in order for that to happen these provinces would have to gain their
00:00:42.560
independence first we would have to obtain independence separate from canada before we can
00:00:47.760
even have official talks with the united states to join the union some sort of deal whether that's
00:00:55.440
becoming a territory a protectorate or joining in in full statehood that'll also have to follow a
00:01:01.520
process with congress and so on and so forth but the first step that needs to happen if alberta and
00:01:07.360
saskatchewan want to become states in the united states is that we need to get our independence
00:01:12.480
we need to vote to become independent and once we do have a successful referendum once we get
00:01:19.600
international recognition particularly from a country the most powerful country on earth the united
00:01:24.240
states then we become de facto nations whether canada agrees or not think taiwan you think china
00:01:32.160
recognizes taiwan as a as an independent nation no to them taiwan is just a breakaway province that's
00:01:39.840
literally what they call it just a rogue breakaway province of china however to the rest of the
00:01:46.240
civilized world everybody knows that taiwan is an independent country different and separate from china
00:01:52.960
so it's no different here for saskatchewan and alberta once we have a successful referendum
00:01:59.760
once we get international recognition after said successful referendum then we become de facto
00:02:06.640
independent nations and that is when if the people of alberta and the people of saskatchewan
00:02:13.040
choose by their own will that they want to be a part of the united states then that can happen
00:02:18.960
now when we look at all of the provinces we see that when the original dominion of canada was created
00:02:28.320
and put together it was ontario and quebec right upper and lower canada plains of abraham big old
00:02:33.040
scrap between the english and the french finally they figured it out and they got themselves sorted
00:02:36.640
out so they had upper and lower canada quebec and and ontario but then they decided to bring in
00:02:40.960
two more provinces as bookends which would be manitoba and new brunswick now manitoba did negotiate
00:02:48.400
their way somewhat ottawa was still a little bit cranky about the whole louis real thing you know
00:02:52.400
property rights autonomy all the things they don't like over there but they still let them negotiate
00:02:57.360
their way in a bit new brunswick also negotiated their way into confederation
00:03:03.040
british columbia came on board also negotiated their way into confederation remember that was to
00:03:12.000
keep the u.s out right because they were getting ready to join forces with alaska they had already
00:03:17.200
bought alaska they wanted to have their own way like right up there along the coast and so the canadian
00:03:22.080
government at the time said oh absolutely not and they took over um what we know today as british
00:03:28.800
columbia and brought that into confederation the other two maritime provinces that i've already
00:03:34.240
clicked on so prince edward island and nova scotia negotiated their way in newfoundland was the last
00:03:40.720
one to negotiate their way in in the 1950s they held out for a long long time
00:03:49.040
we did not we were brought in there was not even a legislature building here there was nobody
00:03:56.000
at the table to say this is what we want this is what we don't want it was this is what you're
00:04:00.400
all going to get that's the foundation that our two provinces have been built on economically these
00:04:07.760
two provinces are incredibly valuable to canada but they haven't been treated as such they've actually
00:04:13.600
been used as cash cows for decades and decades and historically these were two provinces that weren't
00:04:21.040
they didn't negotiate their way into canada instead they were assimilated as colonies basically so the
00:04:29.040
people of alberta albertans and saskatchewans have now realized that there's no there's simply no way
00:04:35.760
to negotiate a better deal with canada they've been trying for decades and decades and it just
00:04:40.800
hasn't happened this of course is not simply an alberta uh issue i don't know how many have seen
00:04:48.320
these billboards or how prominent they are in saskatchewan but this is playing out in saskatchewan
00:04:54.560
politics too although i think at the moment more forcefully in alberta that's my sense at least you
00:05:01.040
can tell me if i'm wrong about that uh then then then here so uh there's a degree of political
00:05:08.880
organization i think that uh sets these movements apart in the prairies as in quebec but it's also the
00:05:15.520
case that that dynamic may be shifting in uh the west let me allow you just to read uh the words of
00:05:23.120
preston manning the the eminence grise i think of the conservative movement i'll give you a moment to
00:05:29.120
read his a portion of his op-ed in the globe from this spring
00:05:34.320
and so some people have begun to say again um in the alberta separatist movement where's our uh where's
00:05:43.280
our conference uh this has come to pass it's it's it's time to move the wheels on uh alberta's exit
00:05:52.320
from from canada and when a figure with the political legitimacy of preston manning he's a former
00:06:01.040
leader of the official opposition in the house of of commons he has immense political influence in the
00:06:06.640
provincial government and at the national and we've seen recently international level when preston
00:06:12.800
manning is saying it's time for alberta to separate which i think is the implication of this op-ed
00:06:19.840
then it's hard not to think that uh this is a political movement um at least with that you have
00:06:26.000
to take uh seriously and should be taken uh seriously so the movement is real uh it has political influence
00:06:34.000
especially within the conservative party of alberta the trump administration has been looking north
00:06:39.440
at what's happening in canada noticing that the federal liberal government under justin trudeau for
00:06:45.520
a decade and now on under globalist central banker mark carney is only getting closer and closer to
00:06:52.800
china and causing up to the communist regime out in beijing the trump administration has reportedly
00:06:58.960
expressed support for alberta to obtain their independence telling the alberta prosperity project that
00:07:06.560
upon a successful referendum they would be willing to give international recognition to the new
00:07:12.960
nation of alberta and in turn one can assume that the same level of support would be given to an
00:07:19.600
independent saskatchewan as i said before these are two provinces that have been used mostly as cash cows
00:07:26.000
as supposed to equal partners in canada canada is a country that is mostly dominated by ontario
00:07:32.240
and quebec quebec being the biggest culprit of taking advantage of the current system we have something
00:07:39.440
called equalization payments here which alberta is the biggest contributor to it per capita and you have
00:07:46.480
the biggest consumer of this communist scheme being quebec just consuming resources while contributing very
00:07:56.400
little very recently ontario has also become a consumer of this scheme while alberta continues to be taken
00:08:04.960
advantage of while having very little political influence in the country known as canada it'll come
00:08:11.040
as no surprise to those of you watching that i support alberta independence i'm all for alberta separating
00:08:17.120
and creating its own nation hey if you've made it this far thank you so much for watching if you'd like
