00:00:00.000 with the ongoing genocide of mmiw g2s lgbtqqia plus president trump i really don't know what
00:00:07.740 he said at the end of that sentence i don't think he knows what he said either
00:00:10.860 all right i don't even know where to begin with this one but things in canada have gotten so weird
00:00:18.740 so out of control that even elon musk is starting to notice like think about that for a second
00:00:25.220 Elon Musk. This guy's running multiple multi-billion dollar companies dealing with a million things
00:00:32.260 every day and he's looking at Canada right now and basically saying yeah something's completely
00:00:37.360 wrong with that country right now. So he reposed this video showing just how far things have slipped
00:00:43.760 the levels of moral decay and the complete lack of common sense and someone replies to it saying
00:00:50.440 Alberta independence is the only way to save what's left of Canada.
00:00:55.280 And Elon just goes, yeah, not a paragraph, not some politician answer, just yeah.
00:01:01.280 Elon agrees that Alberta would be better off leaving Canada altogether.
00:01:05.200 And this isn't new either.
00:01:06.900 A year ago, the late Charlie Kirk was talking about Alberta possibly joining the United States.
00:01:12.020 And Elon responds 100% agreeing with the sentiment.
00:01:17.140 So this is a pattern.
00:01:18.440 This isn't just some random comment.
00:01:20.440 This is one of the most influential men in the world looking at Canada and basically agreeing with what a lot of you have been saying for years.
00:01:29.840 And here's the part people ignore. Elon used to live here. He knows what Canada used to be.
00:01:36.140 And if you've been here long enough, you know too. This country doesn't feel the same. And it's changing fast for the worse.
00:01:44.560 the independence polling got up to 42 percent when the liberals won government again is the
00:01:51.920 highest i'd ever seen it the fact that you have anywhere from a million to a million and a half
00:01:56.660 adult voting albertans thinking that the country doesn't work that should be something that both
00:02:01.840 myself and the prime minister take seriously but okay maybe you're thinking well it's just elon
00:02:05.820 whatever fine let's talk about what's actually happening in canada right now because this part
00:02:12.920 This part is wild. We've got so-called conservative MPs, people who just got elected as conservatives less than a year ago, just switching sides, walking over and joining none other than the liberals. Just like that.
00:02:30.240 Madam Speaker, the Emergency Measures Act has been ruled unlawful by the courts twice.
00:02:35.860 The Liberals violated the Charter Rights of Canadians by freezing their bank accounts
00:02:40.220 when the threat of a national security threshold was never met.
00:02:44.400 They've wasted millions of dollars of taxpayer money and now they are appealing this court decision for a third time.
00:02:51.180 With an affordability crisis and a jobs crisis,
00:02:53.700 Will the Liberals quit wasting taxpayer monies on something that the courts have ruled twice is unlawful?
00:03:01.100 It is a great pleasure to welcome Marilyn Gladue to, and we'll do it officially, this is a handshake in English,
00:03:08.680 officially to the Government Caucus and to the Liberal Caucus.
00:03:14.860 Thank you so much. I'm very happy to be the newest member of our new Liberal government.
00:03:23.700 no election no going back to the voters no hey is this okay with you guys they just flip and the
00:03:31.480 most recent one this one actually made me laugh in irony because you can't even write this stuff
00:03:38.040 like it makes no sense this same person was criticizing people for switching sides for
00:03:43.980 political gain like a couple of weeks ago he was calling them out like this is wrong and then
00:03:50.920 she goes on and does the exact same thing. The question is, should you do that? Should
00:03:58.160 Mark Carney be able to secure a majority, not through the will of the people, not through a
00:04:03.260 mandate from the people? Should he be able to do that by people taking advantage of a loophole in
00:04:07.880 our parliamentary system? A loophole, I'll bring up that Marilyn Glad, who started a petition in 1.00
00:04:13.280 January to force a by-election for people who crossed the floor. So is she going to voluntarily 1.00
00:04:19.600 resign and run as a liberal in a by-election? Because that's what she said 0.96
00:04:23.560 she would have done two months ago. Is she going to do that again? Well, there isn't a
00:04:27.500 by-election. You think there should be? You know what? I think there should be. I think
00:04:31.460 if you cross the floor, there should be a by-election. Marilyn Gladue two months ago
00:04:35.580 said there should be. So will she say that again? I doubt it. And
00:04:39.140 if your data is correct, which I'm not doubting, that 80% of people who vote in a federal election
00:04:43.560 are actually voting for a leader. How do you think the people of Sarnia Lampton would vote if they were put to a vote
00:04:47.900 today? Yeah, and honestly, it's actually higher than that. And then this is, you know, into the
00:04:52.940 theory of political science of what determines somebody's vote. I would imagine that people
00:04:56.860 would vote overwhelmingly for the Conservative Party. It is very conservative riding. It is
00:05:02.500 historically a conservative riding. It's provincially a conservative riding. The people
00:05:06.900 who live in Sarnia-Lambton tend to vote conservative. I think they will be very upset
00:05:12.080 that Marilyn Gladue has abandoned her value system and that she basically is telling them
00:05:17.760 that their vote didn't matter. She is now liberal, sitting as a liberal, voting as a liberal. And
00:05:22.840 you know, I have a lot of liberal friends who today are wondering, are we now a pro-life party?
00:05:29.960 Do we have to have room for all of these different positions in our party that yesterday we didn't?
00:05:36.220 20 years, it's been a conservative writing. You're right on that.
00:05:38.660 Like, what are we even doing here? And it's not just one. This keeps happening. Multiple MPs,
00:05:45.540 one after the other, and now suddenly the government is right on the edge of a majority
00:05:51.580 without an election, without an election. Think about that for a second. You vote one way and you
00:05:58.940 get the opposite. What does that say about your voting power? What does that say about so-called
00:06:04.020 Canadian democracy? How is that even normal? And even people who study politics, like not commentators,
00:06:11.500 not people like myself actual analysts are saying that this level of floor crossings is not normal
00:06:18.740 but we're just supposed to sit here and go yeah that's fine that's just democracy you vote for
00:06:24.280 somebody and you get someone else that makes a lot of sense and then people wonder why the alberta
00:06:29.000 independence conversation is only getting louder this is why this is definitely one of the reasons
00:06:35.840 why because at some point people start asking okay what are we even participating for here what are
00:06:42.380 we even voting for here if your vote can just be changed after the fact if politicians can just
00:06:49.680 switch sides whenever they want to and shift power without you having a say what exactly is
00:06:57.960 the system again and then you see elon looking at all of this and just going yeah like he gets it
00:07:03.940 And that's the part that should make people pause, because whether you agree with him or not, the fact that someone like that is looking at Canada and siding with the idea of Alberta independence tells you this is not just a fringe conversation anymore.
00:07:19.640 It is way above that at this point. This has gone mainstream. And the more things like this keep happening with MPs crossing the floor and betraying voters, the more people are going to continue asking, why are we even doing this?
00:07:36.120 But I want to know what you think. Is this normal? Are these people selling out? What are they getting for them to switch sides just like that? What's happening to Canada? Let me know in the comments.
