Trump has imposed brand new border rules on Canada, and it s only a matter of time before the United States began cracking down on Canadian citizens. But the Canadian government isn t sitting quietly, they re retaliating fast. Rolling out border changes that will hit Americans too.
00:01:04.620When you take into account the fact that Canada has become a country that allows the worst of the worst to get visas and enter the country.0.73
00:01:13.700People from problem countries have come into Canada in droves.0.84
00:01:19.160And a lot of them are becoming Canadian citizens.0.55
00:01:21.500So it's only a matter of time before the United States began cracking down on Canadian citizens.
00:01:27.920Canadians for the longest time enjoyed a great privilege when it comes to traveling to the
00:01:33.560United States. Literally, you go to an airport, to an American airport, and there be a sign that
00:01:39.160said American citizens and green card holders and then Canadians. And then there was a sign for
00:01:45.360everybody else. This is literally any of you who have traveled using an American airport will know
00:01:51.240this. There was American citizens, green card holders of the United States, Canadian citizens,
00:01:57.200and then everybody else. Didn't matter if you were British from the UK, Irish, from Switzerland,
00:02:03.420didn't matter where you were from, French. It was Americans, American residents, Canadians,
00:02:10.460and then everybody else. Canadians have lost that privilege now, unfortunately, and that is thanks to
00:02:16.080mass immigration policies, unvetted mass immigration policies by the liberal government
00:02:22.700in the past 10 years. I'm really not sure how they're going to be able to do this at the land
00:02:27.720ports of entry between the United States and Canada, especially when you have, you know,
00:02:32.760cars with three, four, five people. Facial biometrics will be used to match a traveler's
00:02:37.720photo with existing passenger info that the U.S. government has on file. Travelers passing through
00:02:42.940American airports likely will have their photos taken during check-in, but the policy is expanding
00:02:47.580so that travelers will be photographed when leaving the States as well. Just making things
00:02:52.280harder for everybody else to appease a certain portion of the american population photos of u.s
00:02:58.440citizens will be held for 12 hours but facial biometrics of all other travelers including
00:03:03.560canadians could be held for up to 75 years wondering why that they have to keep that long
00:03:09.720it opens many doors which are not necessarily especially these days the more personal information
00:03:16.440that is collected and retained with the growth of A.I. U.S. courts have always ruled that individuals
00:03:25.720entering the United States don't have the same constitutional protection that an individual who's
00:03:31.400actually within the United States has. So border inspections has always been an exception to
00:03:36.360warrants or those other types of searches. The Canada Border Services Agency also uses facial
00:03:41.320recognition technology on a voluntary basis to help verify identities of incoming travelers
00:03:46.280through its kiosks at select airports some believe a similar travel policy could be implemented here
00:03:52.040in the country one day that all that might be exactly what the problem is is that canada has
00:03:57.080this porous border right canada has these people coming in that shouldn't be coming into the
00:04:02.120country and then you have suspected terrorists heading south from canada into the united states
00:04:29.600Why is it that we didn't have these problems 10 years ago
00:04:32.140before Trudeau became the prime minister?
00:04:34.700It's because the liberals have literally ruined
00:04:36.860every single positive thing about canada including our very close relationship with the united states
00:04:42.840where we could travel back and forth canadians were basically like american citizens that's how
00:04:48.780we were treated when we crossed the border very few questions you could just drive on through
00:04:53.680at some point if you go far back enough it's just a driver's license and you cross into the united
00:04:58.600states and it's gotten more and more stringent because of people letting just anyone in comes
00:05:05.140down to responsible, careful use by properly regulated law enforcement. And this is on top
00:05:11.300of the fact that Canadians now need to register and get their fingerprints taken if they're staying
00:05:15.400for more than 30 days, which they never had to do before. Canadians were able to stay up to six
00:05:20.880months without registering anywhere, but that just ain't the case anymore. And the liberal government
00:05:26.860has decided to retaliate by targeting Americans who use a program mostly designed for rural areas.
00:05:33.620Think about Americans who come up here for hunting and such, as well as those who live in this very small town, which is a part of Minnesota.
00:05:41.720But you can only access it by land if you go through Canada.
00:05:46.840OK, so here's the report on the Economic Times.
00:05:49.400Canada cracks down at the border and in remote crossing option many Americans used.
00:05:54.960Canada is preparing to shut down a little-known border program that quietly allowed thousands of travelers to cross into remote regions without stopping at a customs post.
00:06:05.480The move will mostly affect Americans who regularly enter northern Ontario and southeastern Manitoba.
00:06:13.040Officials say tighter oversight is the goal, but users remain uneasy.
00:06:19.200What was the remote area border program?
00:06:21.600commonly known as rabc allowed pre-approved canadian and u.s residents to cross into certain
00:06:27.960remote parts of ontario and manitoba without reporting to a staffed custom checkpoint instead
00:06:34.300permit holders could freely enter designated areas under an annual authorization issued by the
00:06:40.080canada border services agency as per a report by the national post the program covered five
00:06:46.760sparsely populated border regions in Ontario. This included Cogburn Island, the Sault Ste. Marie
00:06:52.680Upper Lock System near Michigan, waterways stretching from the Pigeon River to Lake of
00:06:59.740the Woods and the entire Canadian shoreline of Lake Superior. The program also applied to
00:07:05.020Minnesota's Northwest Angle, a geographically isolated area bordering southern Manitoba.
00:07:13.140That's that little town I told you guys about that's affected now. CBSA says the program historically attracted about 11,000 participants each year, with roughly 90% of them being Americans, as per a report by the National Post.
00:07:29.200So that's what's happening here. You got the Canadian government retaliating by going after that program, which affects, like the report says, 90 percent is Americans. It's about 11000 people that use that program, mostly in rural areas, probably fishermen as well. And then people live in all those small towns. And they're now basically canceling it. It's going to be canceled as of September 2026. And you better believe this is in retaliation to what President Trump is doing south of the border.
00:07:57.960So you basically have this border tension now with both sides, both governments imposing new rules that affect their citizens.
00:08:04.620Do you think the United States is right in trying to increase their security measures at the border with Canada, imposing new rules on Canadian citizens?
00:08:13.340Let me know what you think in the comments.
00:08:15.140Thanks for watching. See you in the next one. Peace.
