Okay, this just happened this week. Trump imposed brand new border rules on Canada.
00:00:06.760
And honestly, it was only a matter of time. I mean, with Canada causing up to China and acting
00:00:11.600
hostile towards the United States, it's no wonder Washington is finally putting its foot down and
00:00:17.000
no more special treatment for Canadians. But the Canadian government isn't sitting quietly.
00:00:22.660
They're retaliating fast, rolling out border changes that will hit Americans too.
00:00:28.020
And stick with me to the end because buried in this political move is a detail, one detail,
00:00:34.780
the Canadian government does not want Canadians paying attention to. And it's about to drastically
00:00:39.680
change U.S.-Canada relations. American security regulations go into effect on December 26th,
00:00:46.160
meaning if you're coming or going from a U.S. airport, a U.S. land border or seaport,
00:00:51.720
your photo will be taken and then kept on file. And here at Pearson International Airport,
00:00:56.200
travelers have mixed feelings about this change.
00:00:59.500
Well, that's December 26th. That's right away. It's December 26th, 2025. That's right away that
00:01:06.220
they're imposing these changes. Safety issue. It'll protect everybody. So no issues.
00:01:11.660
Given the fact that there isn't a lot of choice and there isn't a lot of control over what happens,
00:01:18.840
what can we do? Notice of the amended policy change was posted on the U.S. Federal Register's
00:01:23.700
website in late October. The country's Department of Homeland Security said ultimately this provides
00:01:28.760
DHS with more reliable information to verify identities and to strengthen its ability to
00:01:34.060
identify criminals and known or suspected terrorists. U.S. officials also say the change
00:01:39.680
will ensure travelers are not overstaying their visas.
00:01:42.080
I mean, that makes sense when you take into account the fact that Canada has become a country
00:01:47.280
that allows the worst of the worst to get visas and enter the country. People from problem countries
00:01:56.100
have come into Canada in droves and a lot of them are becoming Canadian citizens. So it was only a matter
00:02:02.540
of time before the United States began cracking down on Canadian citizens. Canadians for the longest time
00:02:09.960
enjoyed a great privilege when it comes to traveling to the United States. Literally, you go to an airport,
00:02:16.800
to an American airport, and there be a sign that said American citizens and green card holders and then
00:02:24.580
Canadians. And then there was a sign for everybody else. This is literally any of you who have traveled using
00:02:31.240
an American airport will know this. There was American citizens, green card holders of the United States,
00:02:37.500
Canadian citizens, Canadian citizens, and then everybody else. Didn't matter if you were British from the UK,
00:02:42.920
Irish, from Switzerland, didn't matter where you were from, French. It was Americans, American residents,
00:02:52.020
Canadians, and then everybody else. Canadians have lost that privilege now, unfortunately, and that is
00:02:57.800
thanks to mass immigration policies, unvetted mass immigration policies by the Liberal government in
00:03:05.780
the past 10 years. I'm really not sure how they're going to be able to do this at the land ports of
00:03:11.360
entry between the United States and Canada, especially when you have, you know, cars with three, four,
00:03:17.000
five people. Facial biometrics will be used to match a traveler's photo with existing passenger info
00:03:22.420
that the U.S. government has on file. Travelers passing through American airports likely will have
00:03:27.540
their photos taken during check-in, but the policy is expanding so that travelers will be photographed
00:03:31.980
when leaving the States as well. Just making things harder for everybody else to appease a certain
00:03:38.740
portion of the American population. Photos of U.S. citizens will be held for 12 hours, but facial
00:03:43.780
biometrics of all other travelers, including Canadians, could be held for up to 75 years.
00:03:50.140
Wondering why that they have to keep that photo that long. It opens many doors, which are not
00:03:55.240
necessarily, especially these days, the more personal information that is collected and retained
00:04:00.780
with the growth of AI. U.S. courts have always ruled that individuals entering the United States
00:04:09.800
don't have the same constitutional protection that an individual who's actually within the United States
00:04:15.700
has. So border inspections has always been an exception to warrants or those other types of searches.
00:04:21.780
The Canada Border Services Agency also uses facial recognition technology on a voluntary basis
00:04:26.740
to help verify identities of incoming travelers through its kiosks at select airports.
00:04:32.180
Some believe a similar travel policy could be implemented here in the country one day.
00:04:36.200
That might be exactly what the problem is, is that Canada has this porous border, right? Canada has
00:04:42.320
these people coming in that shouldn't be coming into the country. And then you have suspected
00:04:48.240
terrorists heading south from Canada into the United States to commit their crimes in the U.S.
00:04:56.380
And that has happened one too many times. There are people in Canada currently who are in U.S.
00:05:01.580
no flightless, who are suspected terrorists. The United States has been raising those alarms with the
00:05:06.760
Canadian government to no avail. It's not like they're doing much to improve that while they should,
00:05:13.140
right? Why is it that we didn't have these problems 10 years ago before Trudeau became the Prime Minister?
00:05:19.280
It's because the Liberals have literally ruined every single positive thing about Canada,
00:05:23.900
Canada, including our very close relationship with the United States, where we could travel back and forth.
00:05:30.460
Canadians were basically like American citizens. That's how we were treated when we crossed the border.
00:05:36.320
Very few questions you could just drive on through. At some point, if you go far back enough,
00:05:41.600
it was just a driver's license and you'd cross into the United States.
00:05:45.080
And it's gotten more and more stringent because of people letting just anyone in.
00:05:50.320
It comes down to responsible, careful use by properly regulated law enforcement that is operating
00:05:57.740
for the right reasons. Now, even though this policy goes into effect on the 26th, U.S.
00:06:03.000
Customs and Border estimates that the biometric entry exit system at all airports and seaports would
00:06:08.640
be fully implemented within the next three to five years. That would give officials enough time to put
00:06:13.500
in the necessary technology and staffing for this policy change. And this is on top of the fact that
00:06:18.540
Canadians now need to register and get their fingerprints taken if they're staying for more
00:06:22.560
than 30 days, which they never had to do before. Canadians were able to stay up to six months
00:06:28.360
without registering anywhere. But that just ain't the case anymore. And the liberal government has
00:06:34.360
decided to retaliate by targeting Americans who use a program mostly designed for rural areas. Think about
00:06:41.680
Americans who come up here for hunting and such, as well as those who live in this very small town,
00:06:47.700
which is a part of Minnesota. But you can only access it by land if you go through Canada.
00:06:53.260
Otherwise, you need a boat. OK, so here's the report on the Economic Times.
00:06:57.600
Canada cracks down at the border and then remote crossing option many Americans used.
00:07:04.000
Canada is preparing to shut down a little known border program that quietly allowed thousands of
00:07:09.420
travelers to cross into remote regions without stopping at a customs post. The move will mostly
00:07:15.080
affect Americans who regularly entered northern Ontario and southeastern Manitoba. Officials say
00:07:23.080
tighter oversight is the goal, but users remain uneasy. What was the remote area border program?
00:07:31.780
Commonly known as R.A.B.C. allowed pre-approved Canadian and U.S. residents to cross into certain
00:07:37.700
remote parts of Ontario and Manitoba without reporting to a staffed custom checkpoint.
00:07:43.960
Instead, permit holders could freely enter designated areas under an annual authorization
00:07:49.140
issued by the Canada Border Services Agency as per a report by the National Post.
00:07:55.500
The program covered five sparsely populated border regions in Ontario. This included
00:08:00.640
Cockburn Island, the Sault Ste. Marie Upper Lock System near Michigan,
00:08:05.900
waterways stretching from the Pigeon River to Lake of the Woods and the entire Canadian shoreline of Lake
00:08:13.920
Superior. The program also applied to Minnesota's Northwest Angle, a geographically isolated area
00:08:20.980
bordering south, bordering southern Manitoba. That's that little town I told you guys about
00:08:26.460
that. That's affected now. CBSA says the program historically attracted about 11,000 participants
00:08:34.920
each year, with roughly 90 percent of them being Americans, as per a report by the National Post.
00:08:43.380
So that's what's happening here. You got the Canadian government retaliating by going after that program,
00:08:48.060
which affects, like the report says, 90 percent is Americans. It's about 11,000 people that use that program,
00:08:54.700
mostly in rural areas, probably fishermen as well, and then people who live in all those small towns.
00:09:01.900
And they're now basically canceling it. It's going to be canceled as of September 2026.
00:09:07.020
And you better believe this is in retaliation to what President Trump is doing south of the border.
00:09:13.520
So you basically have this border tension now with both sides, both governments imposing new rules
00:09:18.820
that affect their citizens. Do you think the United States is right in trying to increase
00:09:23.700
their security measures at the border with Canada, imposing new rules on Canadian citizens?
