00:02:52.040And I had about three or four other Jan Sixers with me in my cell, all huddled around.
00:02:57.220We were praying for, one of them had a sentencing coming up the next day.
00:03:00.640And Mark was right there in the midst of us, and for me to have my first conversation with Mark in that environment, it meant more to me, this goes way beyond politics, and that we're spiritually united as Americans, one nation under God, and we need to remember that.
00:03:16.920We're not one nation under Republican, one nation under Democrat, one nation under conservative or liberal, we're one nation under God. And so for having Mark to join me in prayer was just, I mean, incredibly, it meant something to me. It was deep.
00:03:30.640Thank you for joining us for that, brother.
00:03:58.940So let's get into this because there's so much to unpack. There has been so much toxicity that the American news media complex primarily has attributed to the Black Lives Matter and to the January 6th movement.
00:04:16.800And you get, you know, all of these conservatives on one side calling, you know, the BLM movement absolutely, you know, crazy things, you know, domestic terrorists and stuff.
00:04:26.580And we definitely did see a summer of rage, reasons behind which we can go into.
00:04:32.520But, you know, we have the BLM on one side and you have Jancic on the other side.
00:04:37.480And I don't think it's that black and white, no pun intended.
00:04:40.400I think that the movements that we represent, the demilitarization of our police force in America, the tyranny that the police force and like the Capitol Police on the Capitol on January 6th murdering for unarmed American citizens can really, I mean, there could be uniting around these things instead of people trying to divide, you know.
00:05:05.540So let me ask you some questions, Mark.
00:05:09.380First and foremost, tell me background about your involvement in BLM Rhode Island.
00:05:15.960Well, we formed an organization, me and a couple other members co-founded that organization
00:05:23.520about a week after George Floyd was, you know, murdered, as we saw, we witnessed on TV.
00:05:31.660you know eight minutes eight minutes and 46 seconds uh that police officer uh i believe
00:05:37.980his name is derek chauvin uh nailed onto his neck and um you know we got to call it what it is
00:05:44.280because we got we have to have these conversations first and foremost because um if we don't have a
00:05:50.200meeting of the mind then we we just can't meet in the middle and like i said initially there's
00:05:56.040nothing that's wrong with america that what's right with america can't fix but we have to be
00:06:01.220bold the righteous are as bold as a lion and so when that happened the world exploded black lives
00:06:08.020matter exploded onto the scene not only nationally but globally and so we were among the first
00:06:13.880to form our organization and we know every state ended up creating a chapter it touched every
00:06:20.320quarter of the country globally countries all over the world started having black lives matter
00:06:25.800chapters because it was a collective ubiquitous rage and anger that was felt globally and nationally
00:06:31.480at what we saw what we witnessed i think being home during a pandemic also exacerbated that
00:06:36.000whole situation where we just felt like something has to be done everybody who has a mind a
00:06:41.620conscience you know um was affected by by what they saw with their own eyes you know your eyes
00:06:48.540can't your eyes don't lie to you um your mind might but your eyes don't lie this is i mark let
00:06:55.600me interject one second here because what you just described, if the audience is listening
00:07:02.260and you take and say he's not talking about George Floyd right now, but imagine he's talking
00:07:07.720about a stolen election, literally the similarities, I'm not saying that they're anywhere near
00:07:12.780that human life is invaluable, way beyond any type of political action, but what you
00:07:18.420just described with the exacerbation with COVID and the outrage that the American people
00:07:24.900That's what we felt on January 6th at the steps of the Capitol, like we were losing something like that.
00:07:30.320To me, how you described your feelings on George Floyd and the police brutality that we've witnessed in this country
00:07:36.680on many occasions is exactly how we felt on the steps of the Capitol January 6th.
00:07:41.420That's why we were doing what we were doing, protecting our country.
00:07:44.120And I know this, brother, and let me tell you something.
00:07:46.580I understand this is why I stand in solidarity with the J6s because I understand from a different perspective
00:07:54.360I have the same feeling, though, of having your rights being stunk, of losing ground, of being disenfranchised, of being marginalized, of, you know, feeling helpless.
00:08:06.560You know, this is the feeling that I had when we began this organization.
00:08:12.080And this is why I stand in solidarity with the J6ers.
00:08:15.960And I understand that what's happening right now is a political, and it's almost like, you know, and I have to be careful because like me and you spoke about earlier, I understood when I began my organization that I was putting myself out there and I was also putting my life on the line.
00:08:31.980I'm doing no less in what I'm doing now.
00:08:35.100But these are the type of moves that have to be done to move the needle.
00:11:24.440I'm telling you guys, when people look back on this interview
00:11:28.180about 10, 20 years and see these two groups
00:11:32.440and these two seemingly opposite ways of thinking, how similar they are in so many respects,
00:11:39.500especially the position that I'm in, being abused by the criminal justice system
00:11:44.660and BLM having that feeling, the minority community in this country having that feeling,
00:11:49.760and now me coming to understand what that feeling feels like as a white American male,
00:11:55.760it's just the spiritual implications and the political implications couldn't be overstated.
00:12:01.660This is epic. So we've got Mark Fisher here, founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island. I wanted to ask Mark some specific questions about some of his value systems and that of the greater Black Lives Matter community, why it seems that some of these things have been perverted by the news media.
00:12:20.420Let's start off specifically with some of the destruction that white America or America at large, as people would call it, saw during these Black Lives Matter protests.
00:12:33.680Some of the violence, the mostly peaceful, quote-unquote, peaceful protests that ended up very fiery, destruction of small businesses, a lot of innocent people being injured, stores being looted, police stations and courthouses being taken over,
00:12:48.360which is different than small businesses being looted.
00:13:14.440Well, I create my own narrative first and foremost,
00:13:16.780So it doesn't matter what the news is trying to paint. And that's what I had to decide to do when I created this organization. I in no way support the violence that took place. You know, there were a lot of moving parts involved, riots of the voice of the unheard, but it wasn't just Black Lives Matter.
00:13:37.300You had Antifa. You had all kinds of anarchists. You had just, you know, the radicals, you know, people in groups who wanted attention, who took part in the violence that we saw and that we witnessed. But I, myself, in no way, had nothing to do with any of the violence or do I support it whatsoever or my organization.
00:13:57.400amen amen i i appreciate that very candid and it is you know the parallels can also be seen in a
00:14:07.540crazy way a lot of people say that a lot of the instigators of the violence and of the um the
00:14:13.100incitement that happened on uh january 6th were uh antifa protesters and um infiltrators
00:14:21.820communists marxists kind of working their way and co-opting a movement and taking advantage
00:14:26.600of a bunch of people gathered and turning it into a crazy event.
00:14:31.920And to hear you also attribute a lot of the domestic violence
00:14:36.680and things that occurred, the looting, the burnings and stuff like that,
00:14:40.300to a lot of those bad actors as well that does not represent the core of Black Lives Matter.
00:15:25.420that is starting to spin a narrative at you to try to divide you
00:15:31.200so that they can keep you controlled in some type of bubble of information
00:15:36.580where they're telling you what Black Lives Matter is.
00:15:38.960But we're hearing it right now from an organizer,
00:15:40.920from a founder of a state, an entire state's Black Lives Matter organization.
00:15:46.240So turn off the Fox News channel and tune in to Political Prisoner Podcast.
00:15:51.160You're going to get the real news here straight from the man himself,
00:15:54.720Mark Fisher. So, Mark, continue. A lot of us in conservative media, we also hear about the destruction of the nuclear family and the pushing for the LGBTQ, transgender, anti-man and woman is a marriage type of family scenario, and the abortion goes along with that.
00:16:20.280the women's feminism to have the right to slaughter their own unborn child inside their
00:16:26.220belly, a gift from God. Where do you stand on that? And do you think that that also is something
00:16:32.200that has been mischaracterized about Black Lives Matter? Absolutely. Black people, first of all,
00:16:37.980we're not a monolith, but I can tell you what, we love the family. We love the nuclear family.
00:16:42.640We support the nuclear family. And the Democratic Party is the absolute antithesis of that. And
00:16:48.440it has destroyed the black family as we know it it has destroyed the family structure as we know it
00:16:54.060and i have nothing good to say about the democratic party or joe biden i believe it's a racist party
00:16:59.280with racist policies that directly negatively impact blacks and black families
00:17:04.540whoo strong words great i i i i agree with you and i particularly want to point out i say black
00:17:15.360black people aren't a model at the legal white people and either are any type of people we
00:17:19.760all have different circumstances that shape our world view and our politics and stuff
00:17:23.860like that but from what i know about uh... the black community is that they have strong
00:17:29.220family values and what a majority of it and people that do not the lgbtq that tried to
00:17:34.780destroy the nuclear family the sanctity of marriage the abortion rights and stuff they
00:17:39.280represent a fringe of uh the black community and the blm um community at large not necessarily what
00:17:46.640the core represents is that correct that's correct and that's why black people need to
00:17:51.720start pivoting from the democratic party because there's this uh narrative that has been created
00:17:57.000uh like joe biden even said like you ain't black if you don't vote democrat that that's the most
00:18:02.160insulting offensive thing i've ever heard a politician say in my life um so in other words
00:18:07.800we can't think for ourselves you know um i'm a trump supporter so don't tell me i ain't black
00:18:12.240um you know and so because you know like i said the democratic party has destroyed the family
00:18:19.340structure as we know it the way that god intended it the way that we read it in the bible the way
00:18:24.560that we see it and the way that is natural to all laws say it louder for people in the back mark
00:24:27.720We've got a January 6th political prisoner being abused by the criminal justice system, talking to a leader from Black Lives Matter, the founder of BLM Rhode Island, Mark Fisher.
00:25:01.720Now, Mark, my brother, tell me more about some of your beliefs
00:25:08.760and some of what you think we need to fix about this militarized police force in America
00:25:15.400and what they represent, the tyranny, like you said earlier,
00:25:19.760about them having all the power and us not being able to do anything
00:25:26.040when they enforce all these draconian measures on us, the lockdowns and stuff.
00:25:30.400Tell me about your beliefs and the stance of BLM on militarized police forces
00:25:35.900and police brutality and the stuff that I've lived through and witnessed now for years.
00:25:41.720Well, what they're saying when they want to increase the police presence,
00:25:45.820which I've dealt with, the heavy police presence since I formed my organization,
00:25:51.440especially in the year of 2020, is that we can't think for ourselves
00:25:56.940and they can't trust us to be responsible, upstanding citizens,
00:26:02.220and that they want to control our thinking, control our thoughts,
00:26:05.680and intimidate us by a heavy police presence and by the militarization of police,
00:26:11.320that we can't regulate ourselves as citizens.
00:26:15.820In Atlanta, as a matter of fact, there's a big dispute over Cop City in which they're trying to spend, if I'm not mistaken, close to several tens of millions of dollars on a place called Cop City where they can fund and train and make it pretty much a city for cops.
00:26:35.780And that's going to be the blueprint going forward if we don't understand what they're trying to do and how they're trying to control us through intimidation, through fear tactics, and through the militarization of police.
00:26:48.760How much money do you need for police when it's too much enough?
00:26:58.820And in many ways, as a libertarian myself, I agree in many ways.
00:27:02.520I think our founding fathers, I think our Constitution agrees with the fact that we, the people, are supposed to be the sovereigns and the people that can have the seat of power and stuff.
00:27:13.560Now, I also believe, as a godly Christian man, in law and order, in that the police, if used properly, you know, the sheriffs and the people who come get your cats out of the tree that help stop, you know, random acts of violence and, you know, sexual assault and things like that, that they're very necessary and that they're a beautiful part of what makes America a safe and beautiful country.
00:27:36.480How do you balance the difference, because it's hard for me sometimes, between a militarization and an overkill of police presence and police force in the country with just the right amount to keep the community safe and keep people in a healthy environment?
00:27:54.280Where do you see that line being drawn?
00:27:57.680Well, police are important, obviously.
00:27:59.520Where there is no police, chaos ensues.
00:28:01.460We have to have police, but we don't need militarization of police.
00:28:05.440That's a very clear distinction and a very obvious line that needs to be drawn, as well as our Second Amendment right.
00:28:12.660That's just as vitally important as police presence.
00:28:15.300That way, the police, if ever militarized the threat, can be quickly matched or quelled because of constitutional rights.
00:28:25.540So the police are important, you know, because we have to have that.
00:28:30.180But like I said, as responsible citizens, okay, who govern ourselves, among ourselves, and by ourselves, and for ourselves, we need to be trusted to be able to regulate our own society and our own civilization without the threat of military in our city.
00:28:52.100spoken like a true patriot brother i love that and i agree with that and that's why we have a
00:29:00.500second amendment right for militia because when the government especially the federal gestapo the
00:29:05.920fbi starts doing these no-knock raids and throwing flash grenades and showing up with these
00:29:11.020armored armored humvees with 50 cal mounted machine guns and ripping citizens out of their homes
00:29:18.180and creating an environment of fear and oppression,
00:29:22.120that's really when we lose our country.
00:29:24.260And that's what's happening right now to the Jan 6th community.
00:29:27.000It's been happening to the minority community forever.
00:29:29.540I just pray, and I want to just touch on this quickly too,
00:29:33.340the healing that we need to see in a lot of the minority communities
00:29:38.380and cities where it is so violent, like New York City where I'm from
00:29:41.720and Chicago with these death and murder rates.
00:29:44.700Do you believe it's going to come from electing more Democrats
00:29:47.240Or do you think it's going to come from strong black leaders and minority leaders re-changing what's healthy in the community and maybe bringing a new area of influence to them, saying that we need to heal ourselves instead of thinking the Democrats are going to heal our cities for us?
00:30:06.080Most definitely it's going to come from us.
00:30:09.760We're going to have to elevate our own leaders.
00:30:12.780And understand there's a difference between black leaders and the leaders of black people because, you know, the leaders of black people are puppets.
00:30:27.060They've been elected by the media, but the black leaders have been elected by the people.
00:30:31.480And so, you know, once we, the people in our community, understand that it's going to take us, like I said, helping us, and, you know, we can't depend on the government to save us or rescue us.
00:30:58.620And here in America, the greatest country in the world, maybe in the history of the world, there's no excuse why we, as black people, can't get it together, pull up our bootstraps, you know, sit down and, in council, create a plan and a way for our people to do it and to achieve, and not only achieve, but be exceptional in all that we achieve without the help of the government.
00:33:30.340It's going to take us overcoming our fears and our prejudices.
00:33:37.320It's going to take us overcoming our biases.
00:33:42.300It's going to take us overcoming all of these things and boldly, you know, embracing each other with love, with understanding, with empathy, with compassion as Americans, as American brothers and sisters.
00:37:17.840Wow. Yes, Mark Fisher, thank you so much for joining me on the Political Prisoner Podcast. I've been so humbled and grateful to have you on, to see the work you're doing, to bridge the divide in America, to bring conservative values over to the Black Lives Matter community is awesome, that you're a Trump supporter, you're a man of God.
00:37:39.720All these things are so awesome. I don't think that you would find them anywhere else.
00:37:44.580So it's truly great to see that there are so many people inside your community that align with the MAGA community
00:37:51.460and that we're not as far apart, we're not as different as they try to paint us on these news shows and newspapers and whatnot.
00:37:59.120maybe there's a huge future for Black Lives Matter and January 6th
00:38:04.940to combine together to stand in unity against government overreach
00:38:10.520and oppression and corruption, things that we all can get behind.
