Summary

The Man in the High Castle is a Japanese newsreel film based on the novel of the same name written by Phillip K Dick. It's set in a world where the Japanese and the Americans have won World War II and have split the country into two halves, Japan and the USA, and a neutral zone in the middle called the neutral zone. There's no laws, there's no rules, and people can live by either country's rules if they don't want to live by the other country's.

00:00:00.000 what is this newsreel film shows us winning the war i we are going to review the amazon series
00:00:15.220 that actually came out a few years back um based on the book by philip k dick called the man in
00:00:23.380 the high castle it was initially the show's initially set in 1962 um and then it kind of
00:00:30.720 goes on from there but the difference is it's in a world where the nazis and the japanese partnered i
00:00:37.920 guess and won world war ii uh the u.s is actually divided similarly so like the japanese pacific
00:00:45.560 states so they've got like the west the greater nazi reich in the east and then there's like this
00:00:51.840 neutral zone in the middle but we didn't win the war
00:00:54.120 hey guys welcome back i'm hoping you can hear me uh i think i see do i see myself moving here
00:01:09.180 yes i do see the mic working i was having technical difficulties last time and i uh tried to get the
00:01:16.840 video um from the web and we had ads and it was just a big fucking mess so i went around it another
00:01:24.440 way after some generous feedback um and i downloaded it so we're gonna watch episode three i have a new
00:01:33.280 software whatever uh top secret that i'm going to download or sorry that will help me download them
00:01:40.700 to the desktop and then that way we don't have the same issues hopefully without the ads um we are
00:01:47.720 just getting over snowmageddon biggest snowstorm so i hope everybody survived that i mean we're
00:01:52.540 canadian we should be able to it shouldn't be a problem i'm going to give a summary i guess of the
00:01:58.100 last i'm going to try to be quick about it uh of the last first two episodes if you haven't been
00:02:03.660 um we meet a few different characters as it is it's based on the book like i've said a million times
00:02:09.300 uh written by philip k dick and it is depicting a reality that may have existed if the nazis and
00:02:17.460 in coalition with japan had won world war ii and it shows an american or an america rather now they
00:02:25.620 don't mention canada in this so i don't know where canada fits in or if it even fits in maybe canada is
00:02:30.040 still canada uh maybe we'll get to something like that when we keep watching it but the u.s basically
00:02:36.280 split into uh the west coast which is comprising mostly of california and all along the western
00:02:43.120 or yeah the western seaboard is owned or belongs to is considered japan uh territory and there's a
00:02:52.620 middle zone called the neutral zone that's where it's ungoverned there's no laws neither country has
00:02:57.320 taken over and people can basically go there if they don't want to live by either party's uh rules
00:03:02.560 and then we have the east coast which is and and and a lot of the east coast and some of the
00:03:07.780 central east states i guess are part of the nazi reich uh germany um so that's how that's playing out
00:03:16.660 we have some you know dissidents obviously this lady we are interested to introduce rather uh to juliana
00:03:23.660 crane who is a sister of somebody who was a dissident and was trying to get a film to some you know i guess
00:03:32.560 rebels and she was you know killed by japanese authorities but her sister her sister juliana
00:03:38.380 ended up getting it she escaped juliana had a jewish boyfriend and they lived in the you know japanese
00:03:45.340 autonomous or whatever you want to call japanese territory in california and he her boyfriend was
00:03:52.780 a jew uh is a jew rather in the show um and so that's also a strike against him so anyway she escapes
00:04:00.800 to the neutral zone the japanese are looking for her the germans are looking for her because she
00:04:04.940 supposedly has this film that could expose everything and the japanese took her boyfriend
00:04:11.220 because they wanted to know where she went he i don't know i don't believe he actually knew he knew
00:04:16.080 she was going to the neutral zone but he didn't really give it up to them and as a result they killed
00:04:21.060 his sister and her kids um with a gas chamber unironically so we're up to about that they ended up they
00:04:28.880 didn't end up killing the boyfriend whose name is frank because they think they've caught uh the
00:04:34.420 person who has the films but we're not sure about that yet so we're gonna continue with episode three
00:04:40.640 and see what happens it's called the illustrated woman and you can probably hear atlas barking in
00:04:47.400 the background we'll try to take that out in post but this is just my life unfortunately i have a dog
00:04:53.020 that never stops barking at anything and everything and it's such a shift to go from a dog that never
00:04:59.000 barks to a dog that always barks it's just wild as fuck so anyways i hope you're all well let's get
00:05:05.460 going let's get this show on the road
00:05:07.060 let's get this show on the road
00:05:37.060 hey look at me
00:05:46.100 you're gonna be okay
00:05:52.120 here drink this
00:06:04.980 so currently right now she's not okay because she thought she met somebody who was um an ally
00:06:13.820 and he ended up meeting her on a bridge but she ended up meeting with him on a bridge he
00:06:18.720 basically was talking about the bible he had the bible and so i guess in that regard she thought he was
00:06:25.020 a good man he ended up stealing the film from her tried to assault her and this gentleman joe who
00:06:32.080 you initially thought was just a low level kind of trafficker of contraband um from the nazi rick to the
00:06:40.020 you know through the to the central zone or neutral zone rather um but we come to find out in the first two
00:06:44.920 episodes that he's that he's working with the nazis so he's kind of like a secret agent or double agent
00:06:49.840 but anyways he saved her by pushing the guy or shooting at the guy i can't even remember already isn't that
00:06:56.080 terrible um and he fell over the bridge into a huge massive waterfall that is remnant of niagara falls maybe a little bit
00:07:04.920 smaller so that's where we're at
00:07:06.620 you did what you had to do
00:07:24.240 yeah you did what you had to do man
00:07:41.700 wow there you go you did what you had to do
00:07:47.900 ah what happened now we lost our
00:07:53.140 we didn't think that was going to happen did we
00:07:56.900 now we have to go back to where we were
00:08:01.580 you're going to be okay
00:08:03.380 a hijacker
00:08:12.720 he was a hijacker
00:08:23.100 he was going to shoot me
00:08:26.100 he didn't know i had a gun in the truck
00:08:31.180 how do you live with that
00:08:39.740 it changes you
00:08:45.520 but you go on you have to juliana
00:08:49.860 you read my letter
00:08:58.360 you gotta keep on keeping it on bitch that's it
00:09:01.240 you said you might not come back
00:09:02.600 i'm sorry
00:09:04.740 i'm sorry
00:09:10.220 i'm sorry i lied to you
00:09:12.520 look you just uh try and get some sleep
00:09:15.680 in the morning we'll get you home
00:09:21.360 i can't go home
00:09:22.660 juliana
00:09:24.920 has it ever occurred to you
00:09:26.800 that maybe there is no contact
00:09:29.500 that your sister would have walked into the same trap you just did
00:09:32.660 you know the guy tonight was most likely a nazi agent
00:09:41.940 so he's trying to convince her that he this guy was a nazi agent likely because he is a nazi agent
00:09:52.340 and he got information and he's also been snooping in her bag so he kind of knows that she had this film
00:09:58.060 he also i believe took a film from her and watched it but they didn't we didn't get to see what was on it yet
00:10:04.120 but i also do believe there's a bunch of fake films floating around because we've seen a couple in the first two episodes like that you know are supposed to be that film
00:10:11.540 and then i think they mentioned some of them that just had old footage of something else on it that were labeled as if they were like you know a secret film
00:10:19.920 decoys if you will
00:10:21.880 so that's uh up to that's that's the situation that's the sitch with that
00:10:26.860 i know
00:10:28.320 then you know both of us would be killed if anyone found out what happened
00:10:31.360 i know you didn't
00:10:34.360 but i was
00:10:36.420 somebody's gonna come looking for that man
00:10:45.760 we can't be here when they do
00:10:48.700 we gotta run bitch we gotta run now this is frank coming into uh the scene here
00:11:00.640 he's back from being tortured by the japanese
00:11:06.160 let's see
00:11:36.140 the damage boy let's see the damage get some weapons was another holocaust
00:12:06.140 so i guess he's got what would be now referred to as ptsd from the torture he went through with
00:12:25.740 the japanese and you know i mean it's pretty i'm sure it's pretty accurate like i when this book
00:12:30.260 was wrote or written i always use that term in the wrong way um i believe it was after i'm pretty
00:12:38.100 sure it was actually i know it was after world war ii so i mean this is likely the author's
00:12:42.920 interpretation of how the japanese were during the war but i did hear that they were pretty savage i
00:12:49.100 mean but again i've also heard that the canadians were also pretty savage so everybody could have
00:12:53.820 been savage at that time what's wrong i lost something a drawing
00:13:06.780 we gotta get going
00:13:11.420 clerk's not up yet where's your key why what are you doing checking out
00:13:21.980 no no that man dies and suddenly we just disappear how's that gonna look like we left
00:13:29.260 we can't wait around here we'll leave not in a hurry and not together look what if you drive out
00:13:35.580 of town this morning and i stay at the diner till after lunch and i'll meet you
00:13:41.820 okay i'll wait outside of town where are you going get ready for work
00:13:48.060 yeah bitch she got a job you know she got a hustle she got to get the bag no she's working at the
00:13:55.180 local diner and that's where she met the guy that tried to kill her
00:14:07.820 hope it didn't scare you
00:14:08.860 i just gotta say bitch if he showed up at my house he would scare me just because of the way
00:14:17.020 he looks he kind of looks like a goblin but uh you know
00:14:24.220 you okay
00:14:24.780 uh yeah your door was open this was on your step
00:14:42.300 jesus they really did a number on this place
00:14:45.580 damn they're gonna make him go
00:15:15.420 identify the bodies of the sister and the niece and nephew that the Japanese
00:15:21.760 ghast
00:15:45.420 thank you so obviously Frank is a Jewish last name and the sister was Jewish as well but it sounds
00:15:54.840 like she was married to a non-Jewish person mr Frank as enemies of the state they've lost
00:16:10.140 our burial rates they will be cremated within the next seven to ten days you'll receive notice in the mail
00:16:15.480 damn they don't even get to have a burial
00:16:40.140 hey
00:17:10.140 you guys see what I'm yeah sure
00:17:13.740 hey hey let me
00:17:34.060 what was that about
00:17:45.760 it's better not to ask
00:17:49.940 yeah don't ask nosy
00:17:55.940 just changed the size for you guys so it's a little bit bigger I'm playing around with the
00:18:05.660 streaming software because it never works properly anytime I want to use it so anyways
00:18:10.080 struggles of somebody who is not tech savvy or English savvy apparently
00:18:14.720 Jesus you're by popular demand you're occupying overlords the crown prince and princess
00:18:26.300 fuck them
00:18:40.880 come on gotta get to work
00:18:44.020 I'm not going
00:18:45.620 Frank you didn't call in sick yesterday you missed a day
00:18:51.220 all right I'll tell him that you're so sick you can't make it to the phone
00:18:56.060 that you're puking up blood and organs and shit
00:18:58.620 I think he's plotting revenge it's definitely sounds like it

00:19:57.560 I don't know what else I can do except show myself and wait
00:20:01.260 what about your SD man
00:20:05.020 one who makes the origami
00:20:07.060 no he seemed to have left town
00:20:10.340 good
00:20:11.720 so should you
00:20:13.840 what why
00:20:18.400 it's been two days Joe
00:20:19.980 if they were going to contact you they'd have done it by now
00:20:22.260 so the mission's a failure
00:20:24.000 not necessarily you still have the film
00:20:26.520 just getting the film wasn't my objective sir
00:20:29.480 no
00:20:32.700 no it wasn't
00:20:35.660 I don't understand what did I do wrong

00:20:49.080 my orders are clear
00:20:52.500 yes sir very clear
00:20:55.080 you know I wonder if they were to put out some because again this came out prior to you know the 2020 global homo and you know when everything accelerated to shit
00:21:13.360 I wonder if they came out with this now if they would be if saying it on a TV show as an actor
00:21:19.320 I mean if this was in Australia those guys would be getting arrested just for saying it as an actor
00:21:23.580 isn't that a fucking something man isn't that a bitch
00:21:26.640 do you oh
00:21:39.860 okay
00:21:47.420 you
00:21:48.920 Frank, it's me.
00:22:06.200 Hello?
00:22:11.560 She's been trying to get a hold of him for a couple of days,
00:22:14.060 so I wonder if he's going to talk to her.
00:22:16.540 He's probably pretty pissed.
00:22:18.920 Yeah, Jules.
00:22:22.120 I've been so worried about you, Frank.
00:22:23.940 I tried to reach you a few times.
00:22:32.100 Being recorded.
00:22:33.540 But there's no phone at the campsite, is there?
00:22:39.740 No, no.
00:22:42.700 There isn't.
00:22:45.160 You know, you left your necklace.
00:22:46.620 You know, I left.
00:22:51.120 That was pretty smart there.
00:22:53.200 Pretty smart doing the whole...
00:22:54.840 Because he heard the...
00:22:56.000 Whatever that sound was, right?
00:22:56.960 And I guess they were recording, so he did the whole...
00:23:00.220 Oh, but there's no phones at the campsite, right?
00:23:02.040 To throw them off the trail.
00:23:03.440 Pretty smart.
00:23:04.340 Are you okay, Frank?
00:23:17.100 Yeah.
00:23:18.020 Yeah, I'm fine.
00:23:22.080 Frank.
00:23:22.640 Frank.
00:23:27.840 I miss you so much.
00:23:29.400 I like to go.
00:23:33.660 I love you, Frank.
00:23:39.680 Yeah, I'd say he's pretty pissed off.
00:23:42.160 It's me.
00:23:43.160 Did you?
00:23:44.160 Can we go?
00:23:45.160 Yeah.
00:23:46.160 It's me.
00:23:47.160 It's me.
00:23:48.160 See you.
00:23:49.160 No, no.
00:23:50.160 Woo.
00:23:51.160 Alright.
00:23:52.160 Sir.
00:23:53.160 Sir.
00:23:54.160 No.
00:23:55.160 No.
00:23:56.160 Sir.
00:23:57.160 Sir.
00:23:59.160 Sir.
00:24:00.160 Sir.
00:24:01.160 Sir.
00:24:02.160 Sir.
00:24:03.160 Sir.
00:24:04.160 Sir.
00:24:05.160 No.
00:24:06.160 Sir.
00:24:07.160 Sir.
00:24:08.160 Sir.
00:24:09.160 Sir.

00:26:09.440 i've seen this fella i don't think so who is he he's a friend
00:26:18.560 so for those who are just tuning into this one or who may have forgotten in the last one that was the
00:26:23.680 guy that juliana met up with and got tossed over into the uh you know waterfall who tried to steal the
00:26:30.640 film from her so initially they late well joe there who's in the the other guy in this scene
00:26:37.040 convinced her that he is a nazi informant when really that i don't believe that's true i think he's part of this
00:26:43.920 freedom or he was part of this uh dissident group
00:26:49.280 a lot of guys look like him
00:26:51.920 this guy makes little paper animals
00:26:55.760 oh yeah i seen him where talking to carl over at the bookstore
00:27:01.280 where are you going get a cup of coffee
00:27:09.200 bucket fill it up will you
00:27:15.280 i thought you were leaving for the coffee
00:27:30.000 what's going on there's a man out there with a shotgun and he's looking for a friend of his
00:27:35.440 that should take long he's gonna figure out pretty fast that that man's dead
00:27:42.560 so what do we do we leave first we have to get rid of something
00:27:50.240 what do you have back
00:27:51.040 you know you should be careful who you make friends with out here

00:28:38.400 hey who is that guy
00:28:41.520 calls himself the marshal
00:28:42.640 he's just a dirty old bounty hunter likes to call himself that you want to steer clear
00:28:51.280 yeah thanks you didn't have no right to see your papers joe
00:29:04.480 there's that smell in here
00:29:08.720 how would you describe it
00:29:10.000 i couldn't say
00:29:13.920 i couldn't say
00:29:16.640 you probably spend so much time in here you don't notice
00:29:22.400 the old books
00:29:25.120 they got the stink of their owner
00:29:29.360 cigarettes
00:29:31.040 coffee cat piss
00:29:33.600 smell of decay
00:29:40.000 i'm looking for a friend of mine
00:29:42.800 who was supposed to meet me this morning he didn't show
00:29:46.480 you've seen him

00:30:55.040 no i don't
00:31:03.920 selling bibles
00:31:05.520 is a risky business carl
00:31:08.560 there isn't a law against it
00:31:10.960 because there's no law around here it doesn't make it right does it
00:31:17.760 how many you got back there
00:31:19.040 this guy's actually telling him the truth man he must be scared as

00:31:57.920 that is your name right
00:32:02.000 carl
00:32:04.880 yes

00:32:37.760 i think it is
00:32:45.600 i'm gonna kill you now
00:32:48.480 there's nothing you can say or do about that
00:32:54.800 but i'm gonna need something first
00:32:56.640 damn son
00:33:01.520 so i guess he is a jew hunter or something like that uh because he's got that deck of cards like
00:33:06.160 they use for the missing people but that's for um jewish people i'm assuming and that's how
00:33:11.840 maybe there's a reward or something maybe he is a legit bounty hunter but interesting nevertheless
00:33:17.520 that's going
00:33:38.960 Thank you.
00:34:08.960 Thank you.
00:34:38.960 I guess we don't get the subtitles when we do the download, so I have no clue what
00:34:45.960 they're saying here, but hopefully it switches to English soon.
00:34:50.400 Thank you.
00:35:22.400 Whatever they were saying, I'm sure it was very important.
00:35:40.780 Mr. Baines?
00:35:45.780 Trade minister.
00:35:46.760 It's a lovely day, and a long time coming.
00:35:51.760 And you intend to proceed?
00:35:53.760 I need the name of my contact.
00:36:00.760 That one over there, suit and blue tie.
00:36:08.760 He's Shimura, science minister.
00:36:11.760 What have you told her?
00:36:13.760 Nothing yet.
00:36:15.760 Is this some kind of a joke?
00:36:18.760 Mr. Baines, you have not exposed yourself, neither have I, nor will I, until I must.
00:36:24.760 Which is when?
00:36:25.760 During his highness's speech, the Nazi embassy.
00:36:31.760 In front of all those people?
00:36:34.760 The crowd will provide cover.
00:36:35.760 The only opportunity.
00:36:36.760 So it sounds like they're trying to plan to assassinate the crown prince or somebody in the royalty,
00:36:51.760 the royal Japanese family that have come to visit.
00:36:53.760 That's what it sounds like to me, but I guess maybe we'll find out more.
00:37:23.760 What happened?
00:37:24.760 They went to a pole or something?
00:37:30.760 They're gone, Bill.
00:37:33.760 You sure?
00:37:34.760 Laura's usually home by now.
00:37:36.760 They're not coming home.
00:37:46.760 Damn, he's having a conversation with the husband.
00:37:49.760 That's going to be rough.
00:37:51.760 What?
00:37:52.760 God, Bill, I am so sorry.
00:37:53.760 What are you talking about?
00:37:54.760 The Kempitai, they, uh, they killed him.
00:37:57.760 They, they just killed him last night.
00:37:59.760 The Kempitai?
00:38:02.760 Yeah.
00:38:03.760 That makes no sense.
00:38:05.760 What the fuck are you saying?
00:38:09.760 The kids?
00:38:12.760 They, they said they were Jews.
00:38:14.760 But they're not.
00:38:15.760 Our grandfather was Jewish, Laura's.
00:38:16.760 So that means you're a Jew, right?
00:38:19.760 Why didn't they kill you?
00:38:20.760 I, I don't know.
00:38:23.760 Oh, Bill, I'm sorry.
00:38:24.760 I'm sorry.
00:38:26.760 Get away from me, Frank.
00:38:27.760 Please, Bill.
00:38:30.760 Bill.
00:38:31.760 I said get the hell away from me!
00:38:32.760 So it turns out that the Japanese did not like the Jews as well, so maybe they had the same kind of agreement as the Nazis did, and they can only exist in the neutral zone.
00:38:45.760 Burns or at the later level visions!
00:39:03.760 In The Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Ancient Attention.
00:39:06.760 damn that's some dark shit
00:39:17.240 oh brah he keeps the fingers
00:39:22.360 oh but maybe he's trading them in for the reward right
00:39:36.760 listen up when i'm done tie him off leave him here understand
00:39:50.000 nobody cuts that body down till the birds pick it clean
00:40:06.760 wow i'm surprised that albino looking thing there hasn't been hung up either but damn
00:40:17.760 we invented 200 micrograms of d-lycergic acid 30 minutes ago
00:40:24.480 it's the advanced interrogation technique
00:40:28.140 it's intended to break down ambitions psychic barriers
00:40:32.100 inducing a sensation of oneness
00:40:34.620 oneness some describe it as an oceanic experience
00:40:40.180 a unity with all things
00:40:42.020 i fail to see how that would lead to the disclosure of information
00:40:47.160 in such a state the subject feels no reason to hold anything back
00:40:51.660 there is no reason since he is connected to everything and everyone
00:40:55.120 so these are the hallucinogenics i guess the truth serum that uh
00:41:02.540 they were supposedly testing on people or maybe they were maybe it's not
00:41:05.660 supposedly but uh yeah it sounds a little bit like a
00:41:08.760 acid trip if you ask me but maybe that's where it came from who knows
00:41:11.760 mr meyer how did you know the route my car would be taking yesterday
00:41:22.180 do you have an informant in my office
00:41:25.260 the medication often induces hallucinations
00:41:34.920 there's a rat inside
00:41:42.140 tell me the name of your informant
00:41:53.640 you're an angel enough you bring him out of this
00:42:01.600 i am deeply sorry over group and fewer i cannot do that
00:42:04.640 you can't once administered it takes hours for the medication to wear off
00:42:09.140 i see so this man tries to kill me and we reward him with an oceanic experience
00:42:21.640 will you tell me when this little fantasy has worn off
00:42:28.140 damn man he's got like that fucking like passive aggressive fucking down pat man that's amazing
00:42:34.140 so that's the man that fell over the waterfall why they went down there to have a i thought
00:43:02.600 are they having a picnic or did they just go down there maybe oh maybe they went to get the film
00:43:06.420 from them or something i don't know but like are you going there for a picnic
00:43:11.340 we're just going to eat next to this dead guy that we threw over but uh yeah different times i guess
00:43:15.980 we need to find his keys
00:43:25.040 i think they're still on him
00:43:26.600 they better be
00:43:28.340 i think they're still on him
00:43:35.340 and you're my in
00:43:38.340 no

00:44:39.300 Uh, sorry, I don't smoke.
00:44:41.060 That's good.
00:44:42.080 I live longer that way.
00:44:44.500 Uh, look, I don't want to be rude.
00:44:47.180 Uh, but I'm not in a minute for a small talk.
00:44:49.100 I understand.
00:44:49.560 Yeah, I don't blame you after what you've been through.
00:44:55.000 Sake cocktail, please.
00:44:56.800 Some matches.
00:45:02.740 I'm lucky to be alive.
00:45:04.940 That Kido released you, but only because he still wants to find your girlfriend.
00:45:07.860 Get the hell away from me, all right?
00:45:09.540 I don't want any part of your movement or whatever the hell it is.
00:45:12.800 If they saw me...
00:45:13.800 Tell me what Randall said to you.
00:45:23.240 And to them.
00:45:24.120 Randall?
00:45:26.680 Well, Randall was in the next song.
00:45:28.280 I didn't say anything.
00:45:28.940 Are you sure about that?
00:45:29.860 That's what he's showing.
00:45:30.560 Hey, relax, Frank.
00:45:39.400 We're on the same side here.
00:45:40.880 Hey, I'm not on your side.
00:45:43.260 Your side got my sister killed and our kids.
00:45:47.200 My side didn't kill them, the pawns did.
00:45:49.000 A lot of us paid a price like you, Frank.
00:45:53.740 I lost my husband and two brothers.
00:45:56.200 They come at us with guns and gas chambers, and you?
00:45:59.480 You what?
00:46:00.100 You just aim a movie at them.
00:46:01.180 How about you put some of their blood on the streets for a change?
00:46:03.460 It's not that simple, Frank.
00:46:04.600 We weaken the Japs too much, and we're just begging Berlin to drop them all.
00:46:06.980 Uh-huh.
00:46:07.320 So you just watch old movies?
00:46:09.380 The films are more important than you know.
00:46:11.380 So my take is she's also part of that dissident group that's trying to take down.
00:46:32.440 They're in the Japanese-controlled area, so I'm assuming they're trying to take down the
00:46:36.500 whatever it is, the Yakuza, whatever they call themselves.
00:46:40.420 I'm sorry.
00:46:41.380 Um, uh, and, you know, but then they're worried about weakening them too much because then
00:46:46.420 they figure, because of course the Nazis want to take over, which is common, right?
00:46:50.860 You're going to see when two countries are sharing a plot of land, they're going to want
00:46:53.700 to fight over, look what's happening with, uh, you know, Russia and the Ukraine that we're
00:46:57.400 paying for, right?
00:46:59.160 So, of course, the Nazis are going to want to look at any opportunity to get the whole
00:47:03.200 country, right?
00:47:03.960 So she seems to think that if they weaken the Japanese by doing their, you know, dissident
00:47:08.680 stuff, similar to what I guess was happening in Ireland with the Troubles and stuff like
00:47:14.020 that, throwing bombs and stuff like that, then that will make it easier for the Nazis
00:47:18.140 to take over and then their lives will be the same, if not worse.
00:47:21.800 We are honored that you found time in your schedule to visit with us, Your Highness.
00:47:28.260 The solidarity between our nations is foremost in my mind, Ambassador Rice.
00:47:33.240 And it's time we greeted our subjects in the Pacific States in person.
00:47:37.380 Yes, which makes my next request very difficult.
00:47:47.720 You respectfully request that the Crown Prince cancel his public address outside the embassy.
00:47:52.960 This is not a proper request to be made in the presence of His Highness.
00:47:56.540 No, Brother Mister.
00:47:58.340 I want to hear why.
00:47:59.500 And I want to hear it from the person actually making the request.
00:48:11.800 I have received word from New York.
00:48:14.020 The Resistance are stepping up their attacks.
00:48:16.640 I understand and thank you for your concern.
00:48:19.980 But my Imperial Guard and the Kenpei Tai provide excellent security.
00:48:26.720 Kenpei Tai, remember that.
00:48:28.260 It's not the Yakuza.
00:48:29.660 I'll write that down for next time.
00:48:32.720 We have obtained evidence.
00:48:34.500 That's a resistance or in possession of false travel papers.
00:48:37.180 You have knowledge of such a threat against the Crown Prince.
00:48:42.860 Not direct knowledge, no.
00:48:45.800 But the safety of Your Highness is our paramount concern.
00:48:50.420 Thank you, Ambassador.
00:48:52.960 Although I will address my people.
00:48:55.560 Thank you.
00:48:56.620 Thank you very much.
00:48:57.660 Thank you.
00:48:57.780 Thank you.
00:48:57.840 Thank you very much.
00:48:59.500 We ask that your guards remain vigilant, Minister Togomi, because we certainly will.
00:49:09.960 Thank you for the tea.
00:49:11.340 So, you know, you may ask yourself, why do the Nazis care if he gets assassinated?
00:49:15.040 Well, obviously, if you know how these things play out, if something happens to him, they're automatically going to blame the Nazis for doing it.
00:49:21.980 And then there's going to be an all-out war.
00:49:23.400 So they want to make sure that they're not implicated in this, even if they are part of it.
00:49:29.020 And your hospitality.
00:49:30.180 No shade or anything, actually, there is a lot of shade.
00:49:42.640 But I have a feeling I'm going to be walking like this Japanese lady after I have my knee surgery soon.
00:49:54.760 So I can't help but laugh every time I see her walk because I'm like, this is totally going to be me after the, you know, some foreign doctor put some foreign body in my knee.
00:50:05.940 So this is going to be great.
00:50:07.080 Are you aware of any threats such as over fewer mentioned?
00:50:22.580 There are many threats, Trade Minister, not least from Nazi agents seeking to disabilize us and blame their crimes on some fessives.
00:50:32.460 So you are comfortable with the Crown Prince proceeding?
00:50:36.500 The Imperial Guard vouch for his safety.
00:50:39.620 And the Force travel papers.
00:50:42.260 What about them?
00:50:43.440 Do you mind carrying them or if, in fact, they exist?
00:50:47.300 Matters of internal security do not concern the Trade Ministry.
00:50:52.580 So this guy is supposed to be just like a trade minister, but yet he's like dishing out all the punishment and the law and all that kind of stuff.
00:51:03.980 That's kind of weird.
00:51:12.440 Overgrouping Fuhrer, the subject has recovered from his exposure to electrolysergic acid.
00:51:17.380 He says he needs to see you and only you.
00:51:22.580 He talks aboutieron the courtเถ noting andbery.
00:51:23.960 He says he needs to be乏 at all.
00:51:31.720 He wants to see you.
00:51:32.120 He wants to sit down for all!
00:51:33.600 He wants to see you in the alabaster,
00:51:34.920 a new place outside.
00:51:35.940 How are you?
00:51:37.220 Go!
00:51:37.940 I want to see you in the other eye!
00:51:40.040 I want to see you in the rate ofcamera!
00:51:41.860 What if this is hot?!
00:51:46.160 Chip!
00:51:47.720 Han 화pmann!
00:51:49.080 Ladery Esc acredital!
00:51:49.980 Hey, mister.
00:51:55.980 Look at you.
00:51:57.980 You're looking for that man.
00:51:59.980 The one who makes the paper birds.
00:52:01.980 What if I am?
00:52:03.980 I know where he went.
00:52:05.980 Give me two marks and I'll tell you.
00:52:11.980 You tell me or I'll kill you.
00:52:13.980 I saw him drop down that way.
00:52:15.980 Late last night.
00:52:17.980 I got to call her.
00:52:21.980 That didn't work out too well for you, did it?
00:52:23.980 He tried to scam the guy for
00:52:25.980 or blackmail the guy for two marks
00:52:27.980 or I guess it would be blackmail.
00:52:29.980 What would it be?
00:52:31.980 You know, I don't even know
00:52:33.980 what the word would be. It's not coming to me right now.
00:52:35.980 But yeah, didn't work out too well for you.
00:52:39.980 Extort.
00:52:41.980 Where is he going?
00:52:43.980 I don't know.
00:52:47.980 come to cha.
00:52:49.980 When I got done.
00:52:51.980 Oh yeah.
00:52:53.980 Come right here.
00:52:55.980 Love it.
00:52:57.980 Not getting my attention on it.
00:52:59.980 This is why I'm too.
00:53:01.980 We want him to lose a bunch ofacks in penseFREED.
00:53:03.980 I don't wanna feel like you need a horse.
00:53:05.980 Bye.
00:53:07.980 If you line up guys,
00:53:11.980 from plaster of pine muds,
00:53:13.980 All right, let's go.
00:53:30.920 Hey, is this far?
00:53:35.840 It's a couple miles, maybe.
00:53:38.380 Marked it on the map.
00:53:40.460 What do you think it is?
00:53:43.980 I know what you're thinking.
00:53:45.260 I'm behind.
00:53:45.820 We do not have time for this.
00:53:46.940 Just guessing.
00:53:47.380 You don't have to come.
00:53:48.340 I'm doing this.
00:53:49.160 Hey, haven't you had enough?
00:53:59.580 Captain Connolly.
00:54:05.660 Mr. Connolly, please join us.
00:54:09.160 Yes, Sub-A-Gruppen Theater.
00:54:10.300 As you can see, Mr. Meyer has recovered from his hallucinations.
00:54:21.560 He's just told me something very interesting.
00:54:24.940 I have a feeling that this may be the rat.
00:54:32.340 I'm sorry.
00:54:34.860 What did he tell you?
00:54:36.040 He's named you as a conspirator.
00:54:43.780 That's ridiculous.
00:54:47.680 It's obviously a lie.
00:54:49.900 Why would he name you?
00:54:51.820 I don't know.
00:54:54.100 I've never met this man.
00:54:55.900 The informant doesn't have to meet his co-conspirators.
00:55:04.140 Sit down.
00:55:07.620 No, he just has to pass on the information.
00:55:11.440 What information?
00:55:13.880 You're out of my car, Captain.
00:55:15.400 I've only been loyal over Ruben Fehrer.
00:55:25.460 Whatever he said, he's lying.
00:55:30.680 Tell him now.
00:55:34.540 This man is lying.
00:55:36.360 I don't think so, Captain.
00:55:38.660 Mr. Meyer has given me a very detailed account of how he passed on the information.
00:55:49.500 Explain yourself.
00:55:50.580 Over Ruben Fehrer?
00:55:54.060 It's not true.
00:55:55.400 Just tell him it's not true.
00:55:57.540 There's no proof.
00:55:58.620 Just the word of this Semite.
00:56:00.280 Tell him, Captain.
00:56:01.580 I have nothing to...
00:56:02.360 Bro, they know.
00:56:04.700 I mean, yes, he's a Semite, but he named you.
00:56:06.980 And how would he have your name if he didn't have any kind of dealings with you?
00:56:11.440 You fucked up big time, Bo.
00:56:13.300 Confess, please.
00:56:14.380 Please, this is a trick.
00:56:15.660 It's a lie.
00:56:16.460 Are you saying I'm a fool?
00:56:17.680 I've allowed myself to be deceived?
00:56:19.300 No, of course not.
00:56:20.140 You wouldn't allow me to...
00:56:20.840 So he's telling the truth?
00:56:21.840 He's not.
00:56:22.700 Please, tell him you're lying.
00:56:26.180 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:56:31.500 Damn.
00:56:32.360 Psychological torture.
00:56:42.480 You knew he was lying.
00:56:44.080 No.
00:56:45.480 I suspect.
00:56:47.000 You may be relieved, Captain.
00:56:49.060 We still don't...
00:56:49.640 Damn, so he was lying.
00:56:52.340 So how do you get the guy's name, then?
00:56:59.880 Oh, come in.
00:57:00.500 You want a drink?
00:57:10.740 I've just been to the camp and died.
00:57:14.740 They didn't tell me exactly what happened, but they did say it wasn't about Lauren and the kids.
00:57:24.240 It was about your crazy fucking girlfriend.
00:57:26.120 It wasn't my girlfriend.
00:57:26.640 This is her fault.
00:57:27.380 She and that sister of hers did something and dragged the rest of us into it.
00:57:30.420 That's the only reason they did.
00:57:31.520 They tortured me.
00:57:32.540 They beat me.
00:57:33.300 For what?
00:57:34.020 For, uh, for information I couldn't give them.
00:57:36.240 Couldn't?
00:57:37.740 Or wouldn't?
00:57:42.360 I did not kill Lauren and the kids.
00:57:47.620 I can't bet I did.
00:57:48.700 This is their country, Frank.
00:57:50.400 Don't you get it?
00:57:52.120 Yeah.
00:57:53.960 You don't get it.
00:57:54.820 You always wanted to have kids, didn't you, Frank?
00:58:01.040 Well, I hope you do one day.
00:58:03.900 And I hope they're taken away from you.
00:58:06.400 Like you took mine from me.
00:58:08.580 So you could feel the same pain I'm feeling.
00:58:10.360 If only everybody who was in a foreign-owned or foreign, you know, country felt the same way.
00:58:20.640 You know, it's their country.
00:58:21.980 Yes, exactly.
00:58:22.720 It's their country.
00:58:23.880 So you behave as they expect.
00:58:26.080 ...their duty with honor and integrity for the betterment of our glorious empire.
00:58:32.380 His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and your Royal Highness the Crown Princess began the day at the Shinto Temple in the Pan Pacific Park.
00:58:40.360 ...by making their offering to Amiturasu, the goddess of the sun.
00:58:45.340 In one of the highlights of the Crown Prince's visit, he will speak in front of the Nazi embassy in a public address.
00:58:51.720 All subjects of the Pacific states are invited.
00:58:57.540 I think he's getting the idea to assassinate.
00:59:00.160 That's what I'm thinking here.
00:59:01.680 Just getting that feeling.
00:59:02.560 ...
00:59:02.680 ...
00:59:21.380 Pretty girl.
00:59:48.660 And that's the girl, the picture of the girl that she lost, and now he, I guess, kind
00:59:53.660 of knows what she looks like based on the drawing.
01:00:01.660 That's a reservoir or a dam, it looks like, not a waterfall.
01:00:06.660 She'll just be up through those trees.
01:00:13.660 Thanks for coming with me.
01:00:18.660 We shouldn't be doing this.
01:00:20.660 I don't understand you.
01:00:22.660 You would if you saw that film.
01:00:24.660 Yeah, a film that shows another world, so what?
01:00:27.660 So it means that maybe things don't have to be this way, maybe the world could change.
01:00:32.660 I don't see how.
01:00:35.660 You sound like Frank.
01:00:41.660 Well, I'm starting to like Frank.
01:00:45.660 Hey, you ever think how different life could be if you could change just one thing?
01:00:50.660 Like what?
01:00:51.660 My dad died during the war.
01:00:57.660 I don't know who I can be if that hadn't happened.
01:01:03.660 Come on.
01:01:05.660 Come on.
01:01:21.660 So I'm thinking Juliana here is the representation of the modern liberal white woman, lefty, you
01:01:27.660 know, liberal woman, because she's not Jewish, so she doesn't have that in her.
01:01:30.660 Yes, her boyfriend was, but she's just it's for the, you know, good of humanity kind of
01:01:35.660 thing.
01:01:36.660 So that's the kind of thinking right that she's on.
01:01:38.660 So basically just the example of, you know, a good portion of the female population modern
01:01:43.660 days.
01:01:44.660 Sorry.
01:01:50.660 Listen, I lied to you too.
01:01:51.660 Maybe I'm following in my father's footsteps.
01:02:00.660 Maybe I'm not.
01:02:01.660 I've never even met him.
01:02:08.660 He wasn't married to my, my mother and.
01:02:15.660 He doesn't live near us.
01:02:16.660 He never took any interest.
01:02:18.660 I'm sorry.
01:02:23.660 Yeah, why do I bet on my wife?
01:02:25.660 I'm not gonna tell you that, so.
01:02:26.660 I'm glad you did.
01:02:30.660 You know, maybe you're right.
01:02:33.660 I mean, if I met you sooner, my life would be home than me, friend.
01:02:40.660 Well, I have.
01:02:43.660 Maybe it won't be.
01:02:44.660 Maybe.
01:03:00.660 Hey, Frank.
01:03:03.660 What are you doing here, buddy?
01:03:05.660 Got our work to eat.
01:03:06.660 Well, good.
01:03:07.660 Great.
01:03:09.660 Did you tell Mr. Wyndham Mattson you're here?
01:03:11.660 Yeah, yeah.
01:03:12.660 I told him.
01:03:14.660 Good.
01:03:15.660 It's good to have your back, Frank.
01:03:16.660 Really good.
01:03:25.660 That's gotta be it.
01:03:36.660 I just gotta say, I'm rather impressed by women's ability back then to navigate, you know, treacherous areas in heels and skirts.
01:03:47.660 Like, modern women could never.
01:03:48.660 would never.
01:04:02.660 ,
01:04:08.660 ,
01:04:13.660 ēš„
01:04:17.660 Oh, my God.
01:04:43.820 That's a woman.
01:04:47.660 What is it?
01:05:02.740 The names.
01:05:09.380 I'm sorry.
01:05:10.340 I had a feeling he had something to do with.
01:05:32.360 He was holding his cards close to his chest, so I had a feeling he might have had something unsavory
01:05:37.420 or he was doing something that he didn't want people to know about.
01:05:39.880 So I guess now we know.
01:05:41.120 Oh, it's nobody's father's mind.
01:05:47.320 It's nobody's father's mind.
01:05:52.440 It's nobody's father's mind.
01:05:55.240 I want some meat.
01:06:03.460 What kind of meat you got back there?
01:06:09.500 You got pork chops.
01:06:11.900 Pork chops?
01:06:12.860 Mm-hmm.
01:06:13.380 Thought your people didn't eat pork chops.
01:06:15.480 The Koran says, don't eat it, not don't serve it.
01:06:19.860 Okay, then.
01:06:21.740 Very well done.
01:06:24.040 Like you live.
01:06:26.460 While you're there, you can think about why you lied to me.
01:06:32.980 It lied to you.
01:06:34.340 You told me you didn't know what happened to my friend.
01:06:37.120 I don't.
01:06:41.100 I suppose you don't know who this girl is either.
01:06:53.540 Yeah, I know her.
01:06:56.280 Thought maybe you did.
01:06:59.500 Maybe you saw her with my friend and clean forgot about it.
01:07:04.640 She used to work here.
01:07:05.620 She served them a couple of times.
01:07:09.700 She worked here.
01:07:10.840 Mm-hmm.
01:07:12.460 Where is she now?
01:07:14.220 Beats me, ma'am.
01:07:15.680 She up and ran out of here this afternoon.
01:07:24.480 You can get one more chops, then.
01:07:26.360 Nobody's bought but mine.
01:07:29.360 Don't you know it's nobody's bought but mine.
01:07:35.020 Hey, Frank.
01:07:41.100 What are you doing?
01:07:43.060 What does it look like?
01:07:44.760 I'm working.
01:07:45.500 So, I wonder, do they make guns and weapons there, eh?
01:07:52.660 So, ooh, not a good place for somebody who is looking to commit an assassination.
01:07:57.360 That's not a replica.
01:07:59.560 What are you going to do with that?
01:08:04.760 Go back to your station.
01:08:06.600 Buddy.
01:08:07.900 I say go back to your station now.
01:08:09.340 It's nobody's bought but mine.
01:08:13.820 Who do you think that woman was?
01:08:29.760 She must have been a part of the resistance.
01:08:31.300 It's probably tortured her to get those names.
01:08:35.380 So, then, Len is part of the resistance.
01:08:37.440 Yeah, I think he's supposed to be your contact.
01:08:40.000 Why didn't he say anything?
01:08:41.440 I don't.
01:08:41.880 Get on the floor, boy, now!
01:09:06.520 It's like the Wild West out here, man.
01:09:32.520 They're just shooting it up in the street.
01:10:02.520 So, we're supposed to wait until the next episode to find out if, you know, she makes it or not, I guess.
01:10:10.740 But that's pretty crazy, eh?
01:10:12.280 This guy, he's like, you know, just shooting.
01:10:14.820 But, again, it is the neutral zone and there is no law there and stuff like that.
01:10:18.220 But, like, and I do have a question about the gun just before I go is that don't those kind of shotguns have to be reloaded regularly, aren't they?
01:10:25.660 Like the pump-action shotguns?
01:10:27.180 I don't know.
01:10:27.460 I'm just going by video games that I play.
01:10:29.240 So, I don't know.
01:10:30.580 Drop a comment maybe and let me know.
01:10:31.740 But, anyways, thanks.
01:10:33.020 We will do the next one.
01:10:34.380 Now that we have a much better way of doing it commercial-free, no more crazy bread commercials for you guys.
01:10:40.780 It'll be a lot easier.
01:10:42.440 See ya.
01:11:01.740 Thank you.
01:11:02.280 Thank you.
01:11:02.840 Thank you.
01:11:03.000 Thank you.
01:11:03.200 You
