00:01:42.120 I became aware of these studies through ARPEL's 1990s broadcasts, and I pursued studies in a post-secondary
00:01:54.640 vocational institute in Southern California with the people who have been researching this
00:01:59.400 for some decades prior to my getting involved.
00:02:03.920 And I saw something that was applicable for people, particularly people who were looking for resources
00:02:11.780 in aid of healing and wellness, people who had been in long-term talk therapy

00:02:42.240 People are suffering in Western society from adverse impacts of institutions like the Catholic Church,
00:02:48.640 the Boy Scouts, even in our universities, there are severe behavioral issues between young people and adults.
00:02:58.980 So the survivors of those conflicts are in our society now, and they're looking for resources.
00:03:07.140 This tool, these speech studies, these non-intrusive speech studies are certainly a very powerful tool
00:03:12.180 to help people looking for wellness and healing resources today.
00:03:15.220 So what are the origins of reverse speech research?
00:03:19.120 Who first started doing it?
00:03:21.860 Well, I think that from the conversations I've had with numerous sound engineers,
00:03:28.080 it was the people who were enabled with the tools and equipment that allowed them to do editing functions and filters,
00:03:35.140 filtering sound, mirror filtering, backwards filtering.
00:03:38.600 It would be those individuals.
00:03:40.480 So there's a lot of unsung people in production who were first exposed to the phenomena
00:03:44.780 or were first able to make these kinds of observations or to resolve communications hidden in backward speech.
00:03:51.980 The subject was popularized through the appearance of David John Oates, an Australian, in the American scene,
00:04:01.840 and he became a very popular guest with our bell,
00:04:05.280 and it was through those interviews that I became aware of the subject.

00:04:09.800 Well, I think we should begin with maybe some reference points in culture and history of reversing speech,
00:04:14.280 or as you like to say, mirroring ourselves.
00:04:17.800 Well, the mirror is a very ancient tool and was used,
00:04:23.460 there's literary sources that talk about how the Greeks were using it for mystical practices
00:04:29.300 related to grieving and the departure of loved ones.
00:04:34.920 That was written about by one of those professional scientists,
00:04:39.360 the fellow who wrote Life After Life.
00:04:41.120 I'm sorry the name escapes me, but Life After Life is a famous book about reincarnation,
00:04:45.660 written by an academic,
00:04:47.000 and in that book he mentioned this discrete concept of contact with other dimensional entities
00:04:53.640 via a mirror, a mirror surface, and in that case I believe they were using reflective ponds.
00:04:59.520 So when we think about our Stone Age ancestors and their encounters with reflective surfaces,
00:05:03.560 such as bodies of water,
00:05:05.680 the archetypal or symbolic implications of seeing oneself and, of course, what's behind us via the mirror,
00:05:12.200 you know, the mirror that we use in the rearview mirror in our cars,
00:05:15.020 the implications philosophically indicate that it could be possible to see, in fact, where we had come from.
00:05:20.900 If we could see behind us, you see, the road behind us where we had crossed,
00:05:25.720 we could see that path from whence we had come.
00:05:28.880 And this is an important metaphysical concept because it relates to ideas of a point of origin of consciousness.
00:05:36.540 So as archetype, I say that the early primitive Stone Age people,
00:05:40.240 through their encounter with reflective phenomena,
00:05:42.520 were awakening archetypes of access to a point of origin.
00:05:48.320 In philosophies such as yoga or tantra,
00:05:52.420 there are ideas related to a return to a mystical point of origin
00:05:55.640 and a cosmic contact resulting in a nirvana or a samadhi, a blissful state.
00:06:01.260 So it's a very important idea.
00:06:03.240 And our ancient ancestors in the Stone Age were making contact with reflective surfaces
00:06:08.100 and that these archetypes were awakening within them.
00:06:10.600 In later, more advanced civilizations such as Greeks, they retained this magic mirror principle philosophically,
00:06:17.920 and there are expressions of that application and used to contact the dearly departed loved ones.
00:06:24.340 Western folklore has retained the conception of the magic mirror,
00:06:27.560 and we find it expressed in literary traditions such as children's fairy tales,
00:06:32.200 Snow White, for example, and the recitation of Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.
00:06:36.140 So people were, in our folkloric Western tradition, people were making use of mirrors,
00:06:41.360 but it was when the scientific revolution, of course, came that mirrors really came into play
00:06:45.260 when we started to use them in reflector telescopes.
00:06:48.140 And in fact, today, the majority of the large installation reflector telescopes in use now,
00:06:55.240 the largest installations and the majority of them are all reflector-based.
00:06:59.000 The largest telescope systems used by science, science and engineering,
00:07:02.340 recognized the powers of reflective surfaces in resolving answers to questions related to cosmic origins.
00:07:10.920 But in this case, of course, we're making indirect studies of the light from distant stars and other bodies
00:07:15.020 as they are resolved on our eyes through impact with these mirrored surfaces on those telescopes.
00:07:23.060 So the use of a mirror to resolve all kinds of complicated questions
00:07:26.760 and to make assertions even about the nature of the universe is common practice in science.
00:07:31.240 And so we are now, in this study that I conduct, we are now utilizing a mirror filtering
00:07:37.140 and applied to speech signals, which, of course, are part of our electromagnetic spectrum.
00:07:42.740 They fit into the sound, audio waveform category, which is using mirror filtering.
00:07:48.000 But it is through the study of these reflections that we are resolving the archetypes of the unconscious.
00:07:53.300 And so it's a very interesting idea.
00:07:56.580 And it's simplified when we think again about this idea of reflection.
00:08:01.520 In metaphysical terms, it means meditation in a quest for self-knowledge.
00:08:07.840 Through an act of reflection, we engage with the unconscious.
00:08:10.840 And so this practice complies with that simple concept and principle.
00:08:15.920 We're reflecting the speech signal in an attempt to understand unconscious processes
00:08:19.640 taking place within human beings who are talking and communicating that way.
00:08:24.580 I was reading the other day that some reverse speech analysts believe that the two-edged sword
00:08:29.080 spoken about in the Bible refers to speech, both forwards and backwards.
00:08:32.540 And also, the Bible also refers to the voice of the spirit as being under the tongue.
00:08:37.320 So maybe this is a reference to reverse speech.
00:08:40.040 That's a very interesting point.
00:08:44.560 I'm not a biblical scholar.
00:08:46.660 I'm sure that people who study that work could identify with what you're saying.
00:08:52.460 And then thinking of another place, Alistair Crowley, of course, he taught the law of reversal,
00:08:56.560 which is apparently at the crux of Satanism, right?
00:08:59.220 They perform everything in reverse and read backwards or in reverse speech.
00:09:03.940 A lot of times Christians think when they hear reverse speech, they think,
00:09:06.700 oh no, it's satanic.
00:09:07.720 Well, I think that people may be naive about concepts related to encryption.
00:09:13.900 You know, the term encryption etymologically relates to concepts of entonement or burying,
00:09:20.680 like burying the dead in a crypt.
00:09:23.920 So when we use that language today to discuss encoding and encoding and decoding,
00:09:31.460 which is essentially the function that is being performed here, we're decoding.
00:09:34.940 The message is encoded backwards in human speech.
00:09:38.520 The cipher is the mirror.
00:09:41.140 We're decrypting or raising the dead from a metaphysical point of view.
00:09:46.440 So concepts of death and life and encodement are tied linguistically together.
00:09:53.660 Whether or not that relates to everything that you had just mentioned, I'm not sure.
00:09:59.520 But there's concepts of du Soleil dancing in Western Europe from folkloric and pagan traditions.
00:10:09.940 Du Soleil means against the sun.
00:10:11.920 And the sun being one of the original clocks used to measure the passage of time.
00:10:18.620 So movement against time, so to speak, has implications.
00:10:23.880 It has implications in Tantra Yoga, for example, where counterclockwise rotation is considered
00:10:28.420 the descriptive of the movement of the ascending kundalini.
00:10:32.820 So the concepts of movement against time and their implications for metaphysical insight are universal.
00:10:41.860 And so when I say that the timeline stops at the mirror in this study,
00:10:46.300 it's like that Stone Age person accounting their reflection for the first time.
00:10:51.880 Time stops and their perception temporarily transports them to the concepts of the point of origin,
00:10:58.680 where I came from, as in where did I come from?
00:11:01.540 Who am I?
00:11:02.820 So do you think entire reversed conversations are taking place all the time when we speak?
00:11:09.300 No, because in my studies, the message is that transmission is not contiguous,
00:11:14.900 which means that there are pauses between transmissions.
00:11:19.880 Compared to data signaling, we could compare this to what's called burst transmission,
00:11:26.480 which means that over certain periods of time,
00:11:29.380 there are highly intense moments of verbose expression.
00:11:32.800 And then those are separated by longer periods of simple noise that's unintelligible and unresolvable.
00:11:42.660 So when picking out a genuine speech reversal, instead of trying to force together a phrase from gibberish,
00:11:48.800 it should be very obvious when you hear it back, right?
00:11:51.280 Well, in fact, my experience as an active listener is simply that the messages pronounce themselves to me.
00:12:00.120 I identify them.
00:12:02.200 I resolve them as they pronounce themselves against the backwards noise.
00:12:06.120 So there's not been great hardship in achieving those resolutions,
00:12:14.340 but there is a certain commitment of time involved because, as I said,
00:12:17.920 if it's only burst transmission, it's not contiguous.
00:12:21.400 You have to wait a certain period of time, perhaps, under those conditions before each message made its appearance.
00:12:27.100 And that would then bring into questions related to individual stamina,
00:12:31.760 like how many people can actually sit through long, prolonged periods of listening to backwards audio.
00:12:36.640 It is a very kind of unusual stimulus, to say the least.
00:12:40.340 And it has various effects on the mind of the observer during those long listening processes.
00:12:45.520 So what are Freudian slips then?
00:12:49.200 Well, a Freudian slip is just accidental communications, and they were identified.
00:12:53.940 Freud, Freud talked about it, it's unconscious behavior in speech communications.
00:13:00.100 So when we don't intend to say something, and we do, it's considered this form of accidental speech,
00:13:07.840 but it's not volitional on the part of the speaker, it's involuntary.
00:13:12.600 But is it something that we actually want to say, we're just holding back?
00:13:18.840 Well, it would seem as if there were a part of us that wanted to talk about it,
00:13:23.060 because it did, you know, the slip is an event, and I guess it's not a hypothetical.
00:13:30.380 We only comment on it after it happened.
00:13:32.700 So we could assume that there was some form of involuntary volition, but not conscious volition.
00:13:42.900 It's kind of like the muscular movements we make when we speak.
00:13:46.380 It just kind of happens sometimes.
00:13:47.520 Well, I think the most important comparison that I could make to these phenomena is what's known as sleep talking.
00:13:54.400 Do you know anyone who talks in their sleep?
00:13:56.240 Well, I do.
00:13:57.480 Well, those motions are involuntary as well, and unconscious,
00:14:01.920 because although someone who made, if someone were to observe you while you were practicing that,
00:14:08.160 they would be able to hear you making speech sounds,
00:14:10.780 but they would recognize that due to the fact that you were asleep,
00:14:15.040 that it was not conscious behavior on your part.
00:14:17.820 And therefore, I say that we understand that there's such thing as unconscious speech behavior,
00:14:22.280 and that the hidden messages in human speech that are hidden backwards within human speech
00:14:28.080 are also unconscious in their origins.
00:14:30.540 So is reverse speech used to subliminally send messages, perhaps?
00:14:38.680 Well, these messaging transmissions can be detected through periods of observation,
00:14:44.380 and so we claim that transmissions occur.
00:14:47.420 Yes, there are such things.
00:14:49.800 Now, do you think that words also carry power with them?
00:14:52.400 Are we creating when we hear them or speak them, whether forwards or backwards?
00:14:56.240 Are we creating?
00:15:01.160 Well, I guess there's two questions in that.
00:15:02.920 Are we creating, and do words have powers of their own?
00:15:07.340 So to answer the second question,
00:15:11.220 in yoga practice, there are concepts related to sounds that are calibrated to
00:15:18.640 decrypt cosmic constructs that reside within the human body,
00:15:25.720 and so when people recite a mantra during a yoga meditation,
00:15:30.580 there's this understanding that if they work with that sound,
00:15:33.640 somehow there's something key about that sound that will activate something within them,
00:15:37.280 so those words are considered to have powers,
00:15:42.020 but particularly in that context,
00:15:44.060 the powers of the words are an attribute granted by the chief instructor,
00:15:49.560 which would be a guru.
00:15:50.660 So the guru's blessing gives the mantra,
00:15:54.280 it imbues the mantra with a special vibration that activates higher consciousness in the practitioner.
00:15:59.580 So under those conditions, I understand that.
00:16:03.660 Are we creating?
00:16:05.520 Yes, I think people are very creative.
00:16:07.820 People are creating things all the time.
00:16:10.560 Now, I think we should talk about a few of your landmark discoveries you've made public.
00:16:14.140 Can you tell us about a few?
00:16:15.000 Well, I was able to expose factual information pertaining to the Iraq war two years before it began
00:16:22.820 through numerous appearances on broadcast radio,
00:16:26.360 and it was my observation that President Bush, during his inaugural address,
00:16:30.460 gave utterance to a remark referring to a mission of Baghdad,
00:16:35.020 and that the pastor who spoke after him to give a benediction
00:16:37.820 commented on a missile attack in an unconscious way.
00:16:42.360 And so when I paired these two pieces of data together,
00:16:45.960 I saw a picture related to what would eventually become the Shakinah strikes
00:16:53.360 that initiated the war against Iraq,
00:16:56.300 which was something like a dozen years, ten years long.
00:16:59.460 So I picked up on military-grade intelligence,
00:17:03.520 and I can say that it was military-grade because the level of precision was very high.
00:17:07.900 It described the point, the target, by geographic name,
00:17:13.360 and it described the military strategy, which was cruise missile strikes
00:17:18.220 that was at the beginning of the Iraq war.
00:17:20.340 So that's military-grade intelligence,
00:17:23.000 and it's a matter of public record that I issued all those reports.
00:17:27.060 I have time or date-stamped air check tapes from the radio station,
00:17:32.620 for example, where I first gave that broadcast the Monday after the inaugural address,
00:17:38.480 and the cassette has the station logo on it,
00:17:43.160 their letter mark and the letterhead, excuse me,
00:17:47.880 and the show that I gave that broadcast on is still on the air,
00:17:50.880 so any curious person could simply contact them and ask them
00:17:53.860 to check their logs to see if that broadcast occurred.
00:17:56.700 I gave a series of broadcasts like this,
00:17:59.020 and they were alike in the sense that I shared what turned out to be predictive materials
00:18:06.660 with the public before events occurred.
00:18:08.760 And so when I was asked to appear in Wichita, Kansas on morning radio
00:18:15.040 about ten years ago or so,
00:18:17.960 there was a case going on in the region related to a notorious criminal called the BTK Killer
00:18:28.720 who had been active in Wichita in the 1970s.
00:18:32.600 And during that period of time, he used to taunt police and local journalists
00:18:35.340 with letters saying how they would never be able to catch him.
00:18:39.420 And in those letters, he also detailed the crimes in such a way
00:18:42.180 that the police recognized that only a person who would be on the scene would know those details.
00:18:45.540 So the police authenticated the letters and said,
00:18:48.120 these are from the real killer, although they hadn't caught him.
00:18:52.440 By the time I became aware of the story,
00:18:56.260 there had been more deaths in the 1990s,
00:19:00.120 and then the police in town had arrested someone on suspicion,
00:19:03.320 and they had them in a local county jail.
00:19:05.620 And so this individual gave an interview to local television,
00:19:08.380 and I studied that interview,
00:19:10.140 and he was just talking about bureaucratic paperwork
00:19:14.300 and preparing for a hearing before a judge.
00:19:17.220 But I heard more information,
00:19:19.120 and what I detected was an issue related to spirit possession
00:19:24.080 and demonic possession.
00:19:27.480 The demons influenced that guy, is what I heard.
00:19:31.900 And I thought that was really, really strange and odd,
00:19:35.040 because I had a number of years of clinical work behind me already,
00:19:38.400 and I wasn't coming across a lot of messages pertaining to the subject.
00:19:41.400 So I thought this was really unusual.
00:19:44.740 There and there, I began my research of this individual
00:19:47.760 and of the BTK case to look deeper to see if there were
00:19:50.760 any strange, you know, strange tangents to this story
00:19:56.640 that had to do with demonic possession, the occult, etc.
00:19:59.300 Well, this is where it took me back to these letters that BTK had written.
00:20:05.940 Because in those letters, not only were there details of the crimes
00:20:08.880 that authenticated them as being written by the original killer,
00:20:11.780 but there were claims pertaining to demonic possession.
00:20:15.800 And so parallelism of the letters of BTK
00:20:19.560 and these unconscious utterances of Dennis Rader,
00:20:22.940 who was being held in the jail, were striking to me.
00:20:26.600 And so I went on the air on Wichita morning radio
00:20:29.820 15 minutes before Dennis Rader's hearing, before a judge,
00:20:35.040 and I gave my report, IDing him as the killer based on that evidence.
00:20:41.140 And at 7 o'clock that morning,
00:20:44.880 Dennis Rader made his appearance before the judge
00:20:46.820 and for more than one hour gave a chilling confession
00:20:50.480 to all of the BTK crimes.
00:20:52.220 So I was IDing him on the air in his hometown
00:20:59.120 where the story happened 15 minutes before
00:21:02.160 he gave this shocking, shocking and graphic confession
00:21:06.180 to all of the BTK crimes.
00:21:08.100 So this is forensic-grade intelligence now.
00:21:12.320 We have military-grade intelligence,
00:21:14.660 forensic-grade intelligence.
00:21:16.020 We also have medical-grade intelligence emerging from this work
00:21:22.740 and that the applications are in the personal counseling
