00:01:44.420 how i'm wired anyway i like to know everything the book is the way to go all right now one thing

00:01:54.460 trade okay we're not going to bombard you with ads we're not going to talk about a bunch of stuff
00:02:00.800 that you know i don't use and because someone pays me i'm not going to give you my opinion
00:02:05.380 because someone's telling me to tell you and we ask in exchange for that just to help us grow the
00:02:10.420 show man um that makes you think if it makes you laugh it gives you a new perspective do us a favor 0.87
00:02:15.120 don't be a hoe share the show what's up what's good gang man it's a beautiful sunday yeah cars 0.97
00:02:22.480 and caffeine happening this is the last one of the year man and it is fucking packed out there 0.99
00:02:27.240 we just took a break to come in here and make some people better yep yep uh also i wanted to 0.75
00:02:33.160 mention this a lot of you guys been asking about the mfceo you listen to q and af you want the
00:02:38.220 personal development uh mfceo project's been going for almost a year now it's on the operator
00:02:43.560 Standard app, which you can get at operatorstandard.com. And if you're unfamiliar with that entire
00:02:49.120 project, dude, it is an amazing, an amazing project. It's not just a podcast. There's a
00:02:54.700 massive community of like-minded people. There's no ads. There's no bullshit. There's no trolls.
00:02:59.860 It's everybody wanting to get better. And that's not even really what it is. It has
00:03:03.700 the most incredible production system human behavioral operating system that if you follow
00:03:15.820 it pretty much guarantees your result that's what the product is okay it's not free um but it's less
00:03:23.120 than what it would cost you to order pizza one night a month and uh if you're not willing to 0.99
00:03:28.180 give up pizza to get your life together then you probably shouldn't be listening to the fucking 0.90
00:03:31.700 show all right but if you want the mfco project and you want to check out this amazing technology 0.95
00:03:37.160 that we have built that i believe is the closest thing to guaranteeing your success go to
00:03:43.940 operatorstandard.com and check that out yeah dude let me actually i know because i've been getting 0.52
00:03:49.440 the dms too like people see the clips from the show like where the fuck is this show at right
00:03:53.160 yeah for those because i'm like dude i know the the the base of people that you know listen to
00:03:58.680 the first mfceo what do you you know for new listeners who maybe didn't listen to the first
00:04:03.700 yeah what is the biggest difference like what are they getting out so it's so it's got uh vaughn
00:04:08.200 the pastor of disaster who is my original co-host on mfceo project and basically what we do is every
00:04:14.340 episode is an in-depth uh hour plus long episode on personal development uh how to build your life 0.67
00:04:20.340 how to build your business how to make money how to kick ass how to become uh the problem that you
00:04:27.040 need to become in society in order to not be dependent on quote unquote the matrix okay and
00:04:33.280 that project that we built i'm very very proud of i think it's the the best technology product
00:04:39.820 that is out right now that really nobody knows about yet uh because what it does is it basically
00:04:45.800 lets you figure out it helps you figure out what it is you want to do and then it backtracks the
00:04:52.640 tasks to a day by day by day system that you are then uh you know scored upon so it's no there's
00:05:00.120 no longer like oh i wonder how good i'm doing or i wonder i feel like i'm doing pretty good no this
00:05:06.120 thing will tell you exactly how you are doing and there's no way for you to bullshit it so it takes
00:05:12.000 that guesswork out too you know that's also people's biggest excuse it's it's what ai should
00:05:16.300 be used for okay yeah it's it's using ai to make people better versus youing using ai to make people 0.99
00:05:22.780 shittier yeah that's what it is it's not going to make your fucking dog dance okay that's not 0.96
00:05:28.120 what it's no it's fucking incredible and from where it started back in december january to 0.99
00:05:32.660 where it is now it's just fucking night and day difference 100 absolutely guys check it out 0.87
00:05:38.320 andyfasella.com man um well yeah it is q and a f it is a monday when you guys are listening 0.88
00:05:44.520 I got three good ones for you. Let's make some people better. Guys, Andy, question number one.
00:05:50.800 This is a right in. Hi, Andy. Andy, I know business is business, but how do you or how
00:05:57.760 would you keep doing business with friends without causing conflicts between the friendship?
00:06:03.720 I know you talk about the spirit of competition, how it is, not how you want it to be. But would
00:06:09.120 you ever go into business against a friend? I've collabed with a friend on his products,
00:06:13.340 but want to start producing and selling my own version competing against friends got an unwritten
00:06:20.220 rule no i don't you know i don't know i mean at the end of the day bro friends come and go 0.98
00:06:26.160 and it depends like is it your fucking brother is it your is it someone you're attached to 0.97
00:06:31.800 is it someone your friends would now uh quite honestly most of the people i compete with 0.99
00:06:37.740 in all my businesses i know the other the other people that own the businesses i'm friends with
00:06:43.180 yeah okay so like i think this this is another one of those you know tales that people tell
00:06:49.980 that they hear about entrepreneurship it's not actually true you know it goes along with never 0.99
00:06:55.000 going to business with friends and family you know that's a fucking bullshit statement i mean 0.99
00:06:59.940 i know plenty of people that have businesses with their friends and family i'm one of them 1.00
00:07:04.860 in fact i don't do business unless i'm like really friends with somebody yeah right yeah um you're
00:07:11.920 not doing business which completes i don't i don't do that um and i think there's a lot of
00:07:17.500 misinformation that comes from people who have never built businesses or you know they they got
00:07:24.540 in a little bit and then they got burned a little bit they're not experienced they don't really
00:07:28.560 understand and i just feel like it's another one of those fallacies dude that people put out there 0.97
00:07:33.400 you know like the seven streams of income shit you know when you have a 20 year old kid who doesn't 0.98
00:07:39.440 know his ass from his elbow and you're telling him to go out and have seven streams of income 0.99
00:07:45.000 in order to be wealthy well i mean you're pretty much certifying that he's never going to win 0.99
00:07:50.140 ever because number one he doesn't have the knowledge number two he doesn't have the resources
00:07:54.580 number three even if he had the knowledge and the resources other people have those things as well
00:07:59.700 and if you're spreading them thin across four five six different things you can't win it's it's it's
00:08:06.620 the allocation of resources right it's no different than you know a country being in a war and trying
00:08:11.820 to fight a war on seven fronts versus the country that's only fighting on the main front you know
00:08:16.440 and you know it's an arrogant thought to think that you could do those things when you don't
00:08:23.140 have the experience to do those things and you know it's just another one of those lies so this
00:08:27.260 this whole family thing you know and as far as like getting into competition with them
00:08:33.040 i mean dude look yeah uh if you're if you have someone you're friends with and your family with
00:08:38.940 and they have a successful business and you just decide that you want to be in business so you're 1.00
00:08:43.580 going to do what they do yeah i'd say you're a piece of shit yeah okay yeah like and i'll be 0.99
00:08:48.440 real i if that were me and one of my friends or somebody that i was close to just said i'm and 1.00
00:08:55.500 this has happened before so i mean this has happened to me because everything's easy from
00:08:59.640 the outside everybody when they see wins they see the wins from the outside right so when they see
00:09:06.360 someone winning or doing big things or the things that they'd like to do they typically look at that
00:09:12.720 thing that that person does and they're like oh they got to do is this and all they did is that
00:09:16.360 i can do that right exactly yeah and yeah and uh you know if you're one of those people that is
00:09:22.220 just looking at someone with you know an envious eye and then you decide that you're going to do
00:09:27.800 what they do um number one you're probably gonna lose number two yeah i'd say you're kind of a 1.00
00:09:32.880 piece of shit come up with your own fucking thing bro you know like you don't want people to fuck 1.00
00:09:37.720 you so why are you trying to fuck other people and you might be saying well it's just competition 1.00
00:09:41.580 there's a difference between being related to someone and being friends with someone and copying 0.99
00:09:47.400 their idea in this or just seeing something that you know you out there that you have no
00:09:51.880 connection to and wanting to do that you know what i mean yeah you also said like you're going
00:09:56.860 to be behind to try to copy what they're doing well that's another thing yeah i mean that's
00:10:00.380 another thing that people don't understand is that what you see in the reality of today
00:10:05.340 is the result of conversations that happened a year two years ago and if you're always copying
00:10:11.080 someone then you're by default operating in conversations that happened two years ago
00:10:16.740 so by the time you are where they are they're two years ahead of you so you can never really get to
00:10:20.920 where you need to go so you know and there's there's arguments to be made for like second
00:10:26.840 to market but that's not what i'm talking about i'm talking about straight up just copying someone's
00:10:31.720 play um so yeah dude i don't i don't it sounds to me you know you're like well i want to do this
00:10:40.080 because someone else is doing that that's not a good reason it's not a good reason and in fact
00:10:45.920 that person doing the thing probably has some sort of intrinsic internal motivation or drive
00:10:52.440 to solve that problem and you don't you only have the want and the desire for the end result
00:10:58.320 and that's going to create a disproportionate level of execution between someone who
00:11:03.860 actually cares about solving that problem versus someone who just wants the end result
00:11:08.800 so yeah yeah man um you know i i don't i don't think that's a good way to think about your
00:11:16.680 business yeah a hundred percent the the the you know the same you know don't go into friend uh
00:11:22.140 business with your friends and families like i also think of it's like oh so so you've never 0.98
00:11:26.180 been like fucked by a stranger then you know what i'm saying like you've never been fucked up by 0.91
00:11:29.600 a stranger yeah got it yeah dude you know and that that comes down to too man people just don't have 0.98
00:11:35.280 the ability to communicate like they just don't like if you look at like how even like you know
00:11:42.100 you watch um how they portray like just couples being able to communicate on the internet right
00:11:50.140 like they get in a fight door slam people scream one person tells somebody get the fuck out of the
00:11:55.780 house and like that's what we're propagated with with the typical you know entertainment uh quote
00:12:02.100 unquote relationship that we observe all the time and so we're always observing dysfunctional ways
00:12:06.940 to communicate and and in our shows and movies um and that creates a situation where people just
00:12:14.500 don't know how to communicate or have boundaries right i think that's how it's supposed to go right
00:12:18.680 exactly like throwing a fit and all that shit that's just not how it works so you know um it 0.93
00:12:25.220 takes a mature person to to have boundaries it takes a mature person to be able to 0.95
00:12:31.560 have a friendship and also a business relationship and understand the difference
00:12:37.080 and i think that's i think that's i mean it's very easy to do that's the thing it's easy to
00:12:44.200 do that it's just people won't do it because they're afraid of having uh somewhat of any
00:12:50.760 kind of confrontational conversation or way to communicate with someone and that leads them to 0.97
00:12:56.400 not having it at all which leads to resentment which leads to these big fucking fights and you 0.95
00:13:00.900 know i honestly think that most people the reason they can't do business with their family is because 0.97
00:13:05.500 they have the inability they're not very mature in how they communicate and they don't have the
00:13:10.700 ability to to compartmentalize this area and that area as different things you mean like like okay 0.89
00:13:16.420 we're at work so we're at fucking work like how conversations i'm going to have with the guys up
00:13:21.980 here that i'm friends with or my brother or whatever my dad even or whatever up here are 0.98
00:13:27.640 going to be much different than the conversations that we have uh at thanksgiving yeah right you
00:13:32.860 know what i'm saying like it's it's a different thing like you know and and i think a lot of
00:13:38.020 times especially like the the quote-unquote leader they have a hard time not being that person
00:13:45.480 at family events or at social events or at it's like dude you're just a normal dude out there bro 0.93
00:13:51.080 everybody's drinking beer shut the fuck up drink beer with everybody that's right you know what 0.57
00:13:54.440 i'm saying that's right like save that for monday yeah right yeah so you know um you know there's a 0.58
00:14:02.520 lot to it dude but i just don't buy into that i just think it's a i i think the friends and family
00:14:06.720 thing is is not a real thing i love it man yeah i love it it's like it's like when people say
00:14:12.720 well 95 percent of restaurants go out of business because it's such a hard business i don't know
00:14:18.660 man everybody's got to fucking eat okay and uh if you make great food and offer great service
00:14:23.900 people are going to come and they're going to talk about it the reason that restaurants and 0.99
00:14:27.820 bars fail is because the people who open them are usually just connoisseurs of eating and drinking
00:14:33.420 that's right right they're not actually business people yeah and in in our business you know i
00:14:38.200 always uh say you know and this happens in all areas right like some guys they really love cars
00:14:44.060 and they love cars personally so they get in the car business and it becomes about the cars not
00:14:50.700 about the business uh and they have a hard time making money right we call it drunks in a bar
00:14:55.820 okay like drunk opening a bar that's what that's what we call it can't do it no like if you're a
00:15:00.340 drunk and you think you're going to open a bar so that you can give away drinks and be the man which
00:15:05.040 is why most people open bars and restaurants they're going to fail which is why so many of
00:15:09.420 them fail okay um so business got to be business and and everything else got to be everything else
00:15:15.200 i love it dude i love it uh guys and we got a uh video submission let's check this out hey andy
00:15:22.060 i want to ask a question about pursuing passion and profit how do you hold on to passion while
00:15:29.380 you're while you're pursuing the necessary profit to live the life you want to live you know right
00:15:34.740 now I'm a public school teacher and honestly, like I, I hate it. I hate this job and I want
00:15:41.880 more than anything to live as a full-time artist, providing for my family, utilizing the craft that
00:15:48.600 I've spent over a decade perfecting or at least cultivating. And like, I don't need a six figure
00:15:54.600 income. I don't need a big house. I don't need, I just want to be able to put a roof over my kid's
00:16:00.360 head and provide fun adventures and good food. But how do you do that? How do you hold onto the
00:16:07.380 passion when you're in the grind? Because I work a full-time job, I do family, and then when
00:16:11.940 everybody else goes to bed, I work on my craft. I work nights and weekends to be the best artist
00:16:16.120 I can be. And sometimes it's hard to hold onto that passion when the profit isn't quite there
00:16:22.580 yet. And so how do you do that? How do you hold onto passion while in pursuit of the necessary
00:16:28.700 profit to live the life you want to live oh man you know um that's
00:16:35.680 the the purpose of passion is greatly misunderstood whenever people say oh you
00:16:44.340 want to get into something that you're passionate about the way that you're describing passion is
00:16:51.580 typically the reason that you got to have it okay because when you start out doing something
00:16:59.940 on day one and whatever that is two three five years down the road where you start to make profit
00:17:07.960 there has to be something that bridges that gap that allows you to stay engaged in that thing
00:17:14.640 And that's where passion comes into play, especially in the early days.
00:17:20.580 OK, and that passion doesn't necessarily have to be this strong thing all the time where
00:17:28.300 you wake up every day and, you know, you're super thrilled about doing it.
00:17:33.200 It's really just got to be a really strong interest, which you already have.
00:17:37.640 And what you're going through is the typical gap between deciding that I want to do this
00:17:43.560 thing that I really like and I want to figure out how to monetize it and then going through that
00:17:48.200 that barren desert of where you don't make anything for a long time and you've got to keep
00:17:54.320 that passion you know going to cross that bridge most people they get into something they're very
00:18:01.580 excited about it they work at it for you know a year two years three years and then they're like
00:18:07.780 well this isn't for me anymore and then they start over and then they repeat that cycle over and over
00:18:12.860 and over and over again and what happens is they get to be you know 50 years old and they don't 0.65
00:18:18.440 know what the fuck they want to do with their life because they've tried all these things but
00:18:21.480 they haven't pressed through any of the hard times that actually produce the level of value 0.95
00:18:28.740 and expertise that's going to be able to be monetized in that way the good news for you
00:18:33.700 is that there's more ways to monetize things than there ever has been in the history of
00:18:38.660 humankind and i'm sure that if you're creative enough you'll figure out a way to monetize your
00:18:44.400 art as well but as far as to answer your question like hmm how do i hang on to it dude look sometimes 0.83
00:18:51.160 you're gonna have it sometimes you're not gonna have it sometimes you're gonna fucking hate what 0.84
00:18:56.840 you do it's not an equal thing it doesn't come out of the spigot at the same amount every single day 0.88
00:19:03.020 right like if you go into the passion spigot every morning and you go to fill your cup up 0.94
00:19:07.260 some days you ain't gonna get shit okay and you're gonna have to grind it the fuck out
00:19:11.920 some days you're gonna get a full cup and you're gonna be excited and that's that's the game like 0.97
00:19:17.280 you have to be able to push through the days or the weeks or the months where it's not very much
00:19:21.200 fun and wait for that fun to start to like come back again like if i went back and i thought about
00:19:27.840 like you know all the times over the last 27 years i've been doing this almost 28 years now
00:19:33.740 um i mean god dude i couldn't even tell you how many times i didn't feel like doing it you know
00:19:40.360 like probably half the time at least half the time you know and that's also where not having
00:19:47.360 other options comes into play right like when you can cultivate a zero option mentality which is
00:19:53.240 this is going to work no matter what i no matter what happens no matter who stands in the way
00:19:58.220 no matter you know what natural things happen in my life no matter what distractions this is going 0.74
00:20:04.440 to fucking happen because i don't have an alternative that's a powerful place because 0.86
00:20:09.560 you don't have the choice of opting out on the day that you really don't get anything out of 0.98
00:20:14.300 the passion spigot you know what i'm saying so um you got to understand the game dude and the game
00:20:19.740 is it comes and goes and you're not going to hold on to it at 100 effort you know or 100 quality the
00:20:24.940 entire time and um that's the way it works so you know for you right now the way to look at what
00:20:32.160 you've got going on you know you said you're not happy with where you are and you know you need to
00:20:35.800 make a change and you know you're putting in the time to get better at what you do um and you've
00:20:41.100 just got to come up with a solid way on that back side to get to a point where you're going to
00:20:44.780 monetize that to cover you know the life expenses that you're looking at and you know to be completely
00:20:50.520 honest you know it doesn't sound like you're trying to make a trillion dollars dude this
00:20:54.060 shouldn't be that hard you know what i mean a couple of things on this the the first thing is
00:20:58.580 you know you talk about the gap right and and what you said is like you know people that restart every
00:21:03.780 three years the the misunderstanding is that like that gap is going to be there in whatever you do
00:21:09.240 yeah you know what i'm saying so it's like like it's not like there's not a lane you can go down
00:21:13.420 and not face that gap yeah right right and so that's important the other thing too though would
00:21:18.520 you argue because you know he said something about you know the modesty right like you don't need the
00:21:22.260 big house would you would you argue that you probably need to increase those goals yeah drive
00:21:27.300 that a little bit yeah because very rarely do you actually hit the goals that you're after
00:21:30.960 you usually end up at like 70 80 90 and then when you get there you're going to set a new goal and
00:21:37.480 so like you know there's that saying you know aim for the moon because even if you fail you land
00:21:43.080 among the stars well what that really means is you need to have a big enough goal that even if
00:21:48.280 you fucking fail the goal that your life is exponentially better and that is how typically
00:21:54.260 people who achieve things set goals okay they don't do this little um you know incremental 0.99
00:22:01.340 i'm going to try a little bit of this i'm going to try a little bit of that i'm going to do this
00:22:05.340 that's not powerful enough to produce the result that you're after it doesn't create enough urgency
00:22:10.460 it doesn't create enough excitement and it makes it really easy to walk away from whenever you go
00:22:15.520 through these lulls of things not going the way you want which dude in terms of being an
00:22:20.680 entrepreneur that's half the time at least so um so yeah i would say that you will you will
00:22:29.860 definitely achieve your goal much quicker if you set a goal that's much bigger yeah so there's no
00:22:35.920 not gonna like i mean i genuinely believe like he's not a you know i'm saying i get it that's
00:22:40.100 okay but yeah big goals require big actions which produce big results little goals inspire little 0.83
00:22:48.500 actions which produce little results and that is the way it works i don't give a fuck who says 0.97
00:22:54.400 otherwise okay if someone else is telling you that otherwise and they're saying oh just said 0.96
00:22:59.080 a little bitty thing and start this and start that and start this they're pandering to you
00:23:03.640 okay they're trying to give you instant relief they're trying to make it feel like you're doing
00:23:09.140 a great job today by just
00:23:11.180 getting up and having a shower because you're
00:23:13.160 having a rough day it's
00:23:15.200 not good enough dude it's not good enough
00:23:17.060 it's not big enough it doesn't inspire enough it doesn't
00:23:19.100 produce enough momentum and
00:23:21.000 you know the people that operate that way never
00:23:23.260 really get anywhere I mean dude
00:23:24.900 when was the last time you saw someone
00:23:27.360 who's created something amazing
00:23:29.180 that said oh I just try and do a little 0.96
00:23:31.180 bit and it fucking got big yeah 0.99
00:23:32.840 that's not how the fuck it works man yeah 0.99
00:23:34.960 so I tried to hit a fucking grand slam 0.99
00:23:36.960 yeah you should every single time this is how I got yeah 0.99
00:23:39.000 that's right fuck dude on this because we have a lot of young listeners you know i'm saying young 0.99
00:23:44.280 hungry people right you know the the i this idea of passion is this where you can also substitute 0.99
00:23:50.920 this i know it's probably gonna piss some people off materialistic goals right can we like is this
00:23:56.200 a is this is what i was gonna say dude okay like like in the first like i used to argue with gary 0.97
00:24:01.020 v about this because gary used to shit on cars real bad and you know he'd shit on material goals
00:24:07.100 but when i was like young that's what i wanted like my motivations have changed um but i've 0.84
00:24:13.960 also achieved all those goals but you know my love of cars my desire of cars and my desire to
00:24:21.980 own cars enjoy cars was a passion yeah and that was a passion that operated alongside my passion
00:24:30.500 for wanting to be in business which helped keep me in the game when it would have been easy to
00:24:36.420 walk away right because i knew that if i walked away i'd never have those things yeah all right 0.61
00:24:41.600 so you know material goals and having big dreams and and all that that's a fucking great thing 0.95
00:24:48.200 and people will try to shit on that and make you feel less than or make you feel like you're 0.96
00:24:52.740 materialistic or make you feel like you're morally inferior for wanting those things but the reality 0.94
00:24:57.720 is is every single person who's built something amazing had goals like that and and eventually
00:25:04.220 they build a business, they get the thing. And then once they get the thing, they go through
00:25:09.040 like an, a transition of going from my passion was to experience this kind of life to, um, you know,
00:25:16.800 now I have a much bigger mission and there's other things inside that mission. That's a typical,
00:25:20.980 you know, uh, escalation of maturity, you know, as you go down the path of being an entrepreneur, 0.99
00:25:25.920 but yeah, dude, if you're a young kid and you want to fucking win, you should want fucking 0.95
00:25:31.060 cars you should want a house you should want whatever it is that you want you know maybe it's 0.99
00:25:35.460 dirt by track man i don't know what the fuck it is but it people that shit on things you know uh 1.00
00:25:42.360 and shit on materialistic goals all you got to do is look at their life like do you want their life 1.00
00:25:46.860 okay well if you want their life listen to them all right but the truth of the matter is the people 1.00
00:25:51.880 who do that are usually fucking losers yeah they don't have shit they've never achieved shit and 1.00
00:25:56.860 they're never going to achieve shit so why are you going to put any weight into what they're saying 1.00
00:26:00.660 You know, one of the biggest problems that we have in the world, and this is why the operator standard is such a powerful thing, is that we're surrounded by people just by statistical reality that are going to lose. 0.96
00:26:13.480 OK, winners are a small, small segment of society, people that have big dreams, big goals, small segment of society.
00:26:22.360 It's very important that you surround yourself with other people who are on that same mission.
00:26:27.600 otherwise the negativity can really get into your head you know you look around at your friends your
00:26:33.280 family everybody you knew growing up and you say well you know they're all saying this well yeah
00:26:39.840 they're all saying that but they're not moving past any point that that that you know has any
00:26:45.680 relevance to like them becoming a quote-unquote winner or wanting anything that that you want for
00:26:50.800 yourself so you've got to be able to vet where the information is coming from and you've got to be
00:26:55.560 able to do it objectively you've got to be able to look at people that you really care about that 0.98
00:26:59.060 you've loved your whole life and you got to say i don't want their fucking life you know what i 0.98
00:27:02.680 mean yeah um and and dude that makes you feel kind of shitty but it's not shitty because you 0.98
00:27:07.160 are allowed to want something else than everybody else has and um getting into a community that is
00:27:15.960 like-minded that is hungry that is pouring into personal development that wants to win is extremely
00:27:20.440 powerful because not only are they you know rooting for you so to speak but those people
00:27:25.980 will fucking help you win yeah okay and that's you know that's one of the biggest benefits of
00:27:30.700 having the operator standard if you guys are not in that dude like and you're you're wanting to 0.97
00:27:36.180 win it's one of the best investments you could ever fucking make absolutely i just think it's
00:27:40.780 such a fascinating concept like just being real if you really think about it you know something
00:27:45.060 like your your love for cars you're saying that the like sometimes that was the only thing that
00:27:49.980 kept you going yeah in the in the early days obviously i mean obviously like you said your
00:27:53.360 passion changed yeah but if but if if i had listened to everybody saying oh dude that's 0.93
00:28:00.540 just materialistic oh you know that's stupid oh that's this that like dude what else would any 0.78
00:28:06.260 of this been created right you know there's thousands of jobs have been created because 1.00
00:28:10.260 of that one because i wanted a fucking car right exactly it's crazy but you know you'll hear people 0.99
00:28:15.140 who haven't built shit shit on those things yeah it's fucking crazy i fucking love it dude well 0.97
00:28:21.160 yeah good luck to you brother good luck to you stay on yeah the answer to your question is 0.99
00:28:26.540 it's natural to feel the way that you're feeling okay and you got to understand that passion doesn't
00:28:31.440 come out this like when people hear passion they think like strong like you know just totally
00:28:41.640 dedicated feeling of passion where you're fully energized even when you're 100 passionate about
00:28:48.380 something not every day feels that way it just doesn't some days are going to suck some days 0.90
00:28:54.280 you're going to drag ass some days you're going to have to search for the reason why you are doing 0.88
00:28:59.260 what it is you're doing and when you say how do i hold on to that well how you hold on to that is 0.98
00:29:05.500 you got to stop and take a step back and say okay what am i trying to do what do i not like about
00:29:11.060 my situation where am i trying to go and what's required to get there and you're going to go
00:29:14.740 through you know days weeks sometimes months and and if you do it long enough probably years
00:29:19.700 sometimes where it doesn't feel that great to continue to go but eventually that that passion 0.99
00:29:24.120 starts to show up again i just love it because that's such an easy way like look in the fucking 0.95
00:29:29.260 garage is that car there yet yeah okay cool yeah that house you want is it there yet all right yeah 0.93
00:29:34.700 Keep going.
00:29:35.540 I fucking love it, dude. 0.55
00:29:37.180 Guys, Andy, question number three. 0.97
00:29:38.500 Andy, I'm 25, scaling an 80-rep door-to-door team to 500.
00:29:43.860 I've always led from the front by outselling everyone.
00:29:47.460 As my focus shifts to training managers and strategy,
00:29:51.340 what does leading by example look like when you're no longer in the trenches daily?
00:29:56.740 It looks like teaching them how to do what you did.
00:29:59.660 It looks like empowering them to do what they're trying to do.
00:30:02.840 it looks like educating them giving them the tools bringing them you know under your wing
00:30:08.800 so to speak to say hey this is how you do these things this is how you win this is how you do it
00:30:14.040 and it's not just demanding it it's not saying hey you've got a performer you're out it's hey
00:30:19.900 come here let me show you what works for me let me show you how this works i did this and this
00:30:24.520 and this and this and this and taking the time to pour into these people in you know a role play
00:30:29.560 classroom environment to teach them how to up their skills so they can get what they want
00:30:33.720 and eventually what's going to happen is you're going to develop leaders out of that group and
00:30:37.860 the leaders out of that group will start to lead other people okay and that's where you can start 0.98
00:30:41.940 to get the scaling you're not going to fucking scale to 500 reps if you're the only fucking 0.98
00:30:46.440 teacher it's not going to happen dude you can't even you can't do that it will not work you're 0.96
00:30:52.520 going to need to develop an inner circle of teachers slash leaders inside your company and
00:30:58.540 those people are going to teach and lead exactly how you teach and lead them so how do you want
00:31:03.240 your team of 80 let's say there's going to be 20 guys in there they're going to become your core
00:31:09.520 group how do you want those 20 guys to be training the other the rest of the team when you get to 100
00:31:15.080 200 300 400 500 create an sop for that okay this is how i'm going to train you the the future leader
00:31:23.620 and then train them on the sop and then help them you know do what they need to do and it's really
00:31:29.340 simple dude it's not hard at all where do most most people fuck up with this they fuck up by
00:31:34.560 thinking that because they sold a lot that they can walk in the room be like i sold a lot what's 0.55
00:31:39.200 wrong with you and they don't do the teaching part you get what i'm saying um they let their
00:31:44.000 egos get in the way they let they they instead of having a welcoming uh attitude of hey i'm the
00:31:50.420 teacher i'm the coach i'm the leader they have uh an egotistical of i'm the best okay and real talk
00:31:58.840 like do you really want to be the best do you want to be your best salesman i'd rather have a bunch 0.98
00:32:02.780 of people that are better than me yeah you know what i mean fuck yeah so you know you've got to 0.92
00:32:07.560 eliminate that and eliminate that fear of like well if i if i train someone so good then they 0.96
00:32:12.360 might leave well then your business model needs to change to where they're not right um but dude
00:32:17.840 leading by example you know if you're not out door to door every single day um you know it looks like
00:32:24.060 what i just said but you know there's still situations where you need to be mirroring you
00:32:28.400 know people that go out door to door you know one of the things that you can do to really build your
00:32:32.780 leadership capital with your entire team is to select a few people and go out and do the job 0.96
00:32:40.000 with those people and then let those people tell the other people how fucking amazing you are what
00:32:45.240 you do one of the things i used to do is i used to go into the retail stores when they were having 0.88
00:32:51.760 problems because like dude you know they would get off track or they would start doing something
00:32:57.020 different and i would just go in there and then they would say well it's change it's different 0.86
00:33:02.100 it's this it's that and i would show up on a random sunday and fucking crank the store out 0.63
00:33:07.340 and then be like it's that easy right and then what would happen is the word of mouth was spread 0.85
00:33:14.740 amongst the stores they're like god dude andy came out here and he fucking sold this and this 0.97
00:33:18.300 and this and this and we kicked ass and then that builds the credibility with the team so 0.82
00:33:23.360 um but but you know there's there's a number of answers to this one you got to get organized two
00:33:29.000 you got to realize that there's no ego in what you do three um you've got to teach your winners
00:33:34.460 the way you want them to teach the next winners and uh and then you want to teach them on how on
00:33:40.180 the process of the teaching so that they can scale that out yeah and you've also you mentioned one
00:33:45.160 time dude i can't i don't think it was on the show you know but obviously leading by example
00:33:49.000 it's a core value in a lot of your companies for for a very specific reason but i remember
00:33:53.120 it might have been when we first got together dude you live by example it's a difference you
00:33:58.420 know what i'm saying like when people see your actions on a day-to-day basis no matter you know 0.99
00:34:02.140 yeah you're not in the stores no more bro your employees should never ever see you break fucking 0.92
00:34:08.900 break it yeah like you should never break it should i don't want to say break character because 0.97
00:34:14.500 then it sounds like it's kind of fucking character but you your employees should never see a hole in 0.91
00:34:18.360 your game they should never see you slipping they should never see you uh cutting a corner 0.96
00:34:23.560 they should never see you not living the way that you expect them to live fucking ever that means if 0.93
00:34:28.660 you have them come to your house your house should be clean that means if you take them for a ride in 0.88
00:34:32.580 your car your car should be fucking perfect that means if they see you working out you should be 0.56
00:34:36.520 working out with the proper intent if they see you cleaning or taking the trash out you should 0.99
00:34:40.900 be doing it the right way you your team should never see a fucking hole in your game and they're 0.97
00:34:46.340 gonna they're gonna you're gonna slip and they'll let you know about you and they might not they 0.93
00:34:51.040 might not but they'll let others know yeah they might not say anything to you but they'll say 0.99
00:34:55.760 dude i saw fucking andy he didn't wipe out the fucking sink i saw andy he didn't he fucking 0.99
00:35:00.660 left the weights crooked i saw andy he didn't take out the trash he walked past it four times 0.99
00:35:04.280 you see what i'm saying so like they'll talk about it so you want to make sure that that that you
00:35:09.520 know if you're trying to be a leader because what happens is you get comfortable with your team you
00:35:14.880 start to think that you can like be bros with them and you think that because you're bros they're not
00:35:20.060 going to recognize those holes in your standard and they will they'll do so even more because now
00:35:25.400 they're comfortable right now you're comfortable now we're letting it loose a little bit right
00:35:30.680 But just because you're giving them the credit or the trust of being close to you doesn't mean that you have the ability to skip steps or let holes be seen in your game.
00:35:42.720 And I think the biggest thing amongst young leaders that really messes them up is that they, we talked about boundaries between, you know, friendship and business.
00:35:55.280 they let that boundary get blurred and not just blurred in the way that they communicate with
00:36:02.300 their team but blurred in the way of like the standard they hold and your team is not going to
00:36:07.160 your team doesn't stop and say well we're friends and that's why he did that we're cool so that's
00:36:13.340 why he cut that corner that's not what they're going to say what they're going to say is well
00:36:16.740 i guess we're on a level where we can cut corners too right well andy did it right exactly yeah 0.93
00:36:21.500 fuck dude i i did i remember that i i'm pretty sure we were in the bathroom wiping out sinks 0.99
00:36:25.320 and you told me he's like dj they're gonna look at you and see me so you better keep your shit 0.99
00:36:28.960 together too that's right you know like it wasn't like dude it was a real conversation i remember it 0.98
00:36:32.880 yep i remember it man it's real shit man i love it so i love it dude well guys andy that was three
00:36:39.520 yeah that is three don't forget to stop into target and get yourself some of these uh first 0.96
00:36:44.620 form protein sticks they're in all the targets right now and they are amazing i gotta warn you
00:36:49.440 they are highly addictive

00:36:54.080 addicted to worse things
00:36:55.140 but make sure you check those out in Target
00:36:57.100 alright guys we will
