00:01:13.720 Today's Q&AF and we have CTI tomorrow
00:01:17.600 That's Cruise the Internet
00:01:18.560 As we talk about what's going on in the world
00:01:20.100 We speculate, we have a couple laughs
00:01:22.520 and then we have to talk about how we, the people, solve this problem going on in the world, okay?
00:01:28.060 And then we're going to have 75 hard verses.
00:01:31.000 We have a few of those coming up that are really good before the end of the year.
00:01:34.420 That's where someone who comes on the show has completed the 75 hard program
00:01:38.780 and talks about how they were before and how they are now
00:01:41.660 and how they use that program to transform their lives.
00:01:43.860 If you're unfamiliar with 75 hard, it's the initial phase of the Live Hard program
00:01:47.300 that you can get for free at episode 208 on the audio feed.
00:01:51.460 again that's 208 on the audio feed um there's also a book called the book on mental toughness
00:01:58.300 you can get that at andypriscilla.com it is not free but it does have a whole bunch more
00:02:04.560 information than you will get on the audio podcast if you're unfamiliar with uh live hard
00:02:09.620 75 hard it's the world's most popular mental transformation program okay it's helped more 0.98
00:02:14.540 people get their shit together than any other program in history so check that shit out all 0.77
00:02:19.120 And yeah, we're the biggest show in the world 0.99
00:02:22.300 that doesn't run ads, so we ask very simply
00:02:24.400 that you help us grow the show by
00:02:26.360 sharing it. So if the show makes you think,
00:02:28.340 if it makes you laugh, it gives you a new perspective,
00:02:30.380 if you learn something, which you will, 1.00
00:02:32.260 do us a favor and don't be a hoe. 1.00
00:02:34.680 Share the show. 1.00
00:02:36.200 What's up? Winners win, baby.
00:02:38.840 Winners win, bro.
00:02:41.240 Madot's not here, 0.99
00:02:42.120 but he's been kicking some ass. 0.98
00:02:43.780 I just want to give him a little plug. 0.99
00:02:45.680 Do you hate winning?
00:02:47.020 or what's the saying that they like uh you you have to hate losing more than you love winning
00:02:52.060 do you agree with that you know most people put themselves into a camp of
00:02:57.960 i'm either i hate losing or i love winning um
00:03:02.500 you know the biggest winners on the planet expect to win they don't they don't hope to win
00:03:11.120 so when you expect to win and winning is the expectation then you're really not that surprised
00:03:18.340 when you win yeah so every single person that i know that has accomplished something that i admire
00:03:26.520 if you really dig into them they're hate to lose people because their expectation is to win
00:03:31.740 so you know that's that's my take on it i am definitely that way i expect to win
00:03:37.560 period and uh i hate to fucking lose yeah now was it all always that way because i'm trying to 0.75
00:03:44.560 imagine like the 19 year old andy you know i'm saying or the 20 year old andy they make their 0.99
00:03:48.200 way you're like fuck dude fucker winning you know like was it always that way for you 0.99
00:03:51.500 or was that like a well no because i didn't always win and in the beginning i i lost all the time 0.99
00:04:00.440 so you know that expectation sort of came over the course of time where you get better you get
00:04:05.600 more confidence you get another win and another win and another win until you kind of figure out
00:04:10.460 what it takes to win whether you're playing a game or you're in business or you're uh building
00:04:16.000 an organization or whatever you're doing you know the the attitude the the mathematical equation
00:04:21.960 and the attitude that you have to have for winning is consistent and so once you sort of figure that
00:04:27.960 out you know it becomes the expectation i mean that's just what you're expecting to do so you
00:04:35.160 know i i always think it's weird when people win and then they like over celebrate it's like dude
00:04:41.420 what were you what did you expect yeah that's what you think they're supposed to do yeah and
00:04:45.600 i also think that when you get overly excited about winning i think it shows that you really
00:04:50.920 don't understand that the recipe for winning is an actual recipe and it's not left up the
00:04:56.740 circumstance you know what i'm saying that's real that's real like they're shocked by the win it's
00:05:01.960 yeah they haven't figured out yet that it is it is it is an equation it's right it's certain inputs
00:05:06.360 equal certain outputs yeah and when people haven't figured that out they tend to like
00:05:10.220 get really excited when they win and i get i get a little nervous when i when i get around people
00:05:17.820 like that because it's like well if you're that excited about winning do you know why you won
00:05:23.980 you know what i mean yeah yeah yeah and it's obvious like you you don't know why you won well
00:05:29.780 i mean it's just yeah it's okay to be excited about winning but i'm saying overly excited yeah
00:05:33.720 you know like like when you get emotionally uh disproportionately high on winning you know a
00:05:41.880 couple things happen you know one um it tells me that maybe you don't understand the recipe on how
00:05:48.820 to win number two uh it opens up the door for your ego to to blind your actions and your judgment
00:05:56.560 it um and so those are things that you're cognizant of when people get too high yeah uh when they win
00:06:05.520 you didn't win your actions won that's right yeah i was just going to say that the first fact that
00:06:10.020 you said is because those people don't have systems like you have yeah so they were doing
00:06:13.720 some things they don't know what to do and something worked and you have said if you take
00:06:17.660 10 000 hits one of them will land yeah and then they get super excited about it but this is one
00:06:22.920 of the things that i've learned from you is that you create systems around why it worked and then
00:06:27.360 you repeat those systems and that's why you always hope to like you always expect to win yeah you're
00:06:32.720 not hoping yeah that's like the biggest difference well yeah i mean i think that's i think that's
00:06:37.320 consistent amongst anybody who wins you know look it's one thing to win it's another thing to win
00:06:43.840 for decades that's true completely different thing yes okay it's one thing to win it's another thing
00:06:49.340 to continue to win. Lots of people win, but they win once or twice. You're going to be alive for
00:06:57.700 a long time, dude. You're going to be in the game for much longer than you think. And if you can't
00:07:03.860 figure out the actual recipe of how to win, you're sort of just playing the happenstance
00:07:09.880 circumstance game that maybe you'll get into a position. And just because you won once doesn't
00:07:15.020 mean that you are in a position to understand what it's going to take to replicate that over
00:07:20.520 the course of time and so when you really like look at who you want to uh learn from the most
00:07:27.420 who i want to learn from the most is i don't want to learn from the guys who and this goes back to
00:07:33.400 20 years ago i recognize this i don't want to learn from people who just won one thing i want
00:07:39.060 to learn from people that wherever you put them whatever they do whatever's in front of them they
00:07:43.140 do well and they win right and those people have figured out the recipe for success every time
00:07:50.960 there is any youtube comment about you that's talking about like hey this that something
00:07:54.800 negative i like okay okay has any other person done that and won for 26 years 25 years straight
00:08:03.540 no people can do the wrong thing and keep not in our industries absolutely not no and that's why
00:08:09.320 we see all those people like coming and going so quick on social yeah yeah it happens all the time
00:08:14.520 all the time yeah because it's very easy with the tools now to gain a lot of success very quickly
00:08:21.820 in terms of like sales or attention uh it's a completely different thing building something
00:08:27.140 that lasts they haven't built the framework to sustain it that's why lottery winners go broke 0.98
00:08:31.900 in three to five years hell yeah well shout out to madat bro fucking winners win dog yeah i think 0.94
00:08:39.020 he expected to win of course he did i know he did he's a winner yeah he's been winning medals for 0.97
00:08:43.160 the last four years yeah but he's also works his ass off every single day he knows the inputs that
00:08:47.680 need to go into that right yeah 100 dude i love it man well winners let's keep winning uh let's
00:08:53.240 get better we got three good ones for you guys andy question number one andy hey andy uh i've
00:09:02.680 been wrestling with something for a while now. I'm 27 years old and I'm a skilled tradesman,
00:09:09.100 a machinist. I've been in my current company for eight years now. It's where I was hired
00:09:14.760 into directly after tech school. A management position has recently become available and the
00:09:20.220 management here has made it abundantly clear that they are not promoting from within due to it being
00:09:25.880 difficult to replace us skilled workers i asked and was told this directly how do you know when
00:09:32.900 it's time to move on from an employer that doesn't seem to value the promotion of its loyal employees
00:09:38.340 this job has been all i've known and i've seen places like 1p that build careers for people and
00:09:43.820 it's soul crushing to think that i may be at a dead-end job despite being a skilled worker
00:09:48.600 with years dedicated to my craft what do we do in this situation well number one dude first of all
00:09:55.640 you got to put yourself in someone else's shoes okay that reason that they're giving you is a
00:10:00.980 valid reason because your skill set and the skill set of managing and leading are not the same
00:10:08.680 skill set okay and a lot of people believe that because they're good at something that they will
00:10:14.240 be good at the next thing just because we see this a lot with doctors okay we see this a lot
00:10:20.000 with people who had to go to higher education and they become doctors. But because they went to
00:10:25.800 school for 16 years, they believe that they're also good entrepreneurs or they're good business
00:10:32.080 people. And I got to be real, dude. Some doctors, most doctors or some doctors, really good business
00:10:36.760 people. Most of them, their egos are so big that they can't learn the new skill of how to operate
00:10:42.160 the thing. Okay. So like being a chiropractor and running a chiropractic practice, two different
00:10:48.440 things. Being a dentist, running a dental office, two different things. Being a skilled tradesman
00:10:55.500 and leading the company and the people, two different things, okay? So from the point of
00:11:02.420 view of the owners of the company, this move makes sense if you or other people inside do not show
00:11:11.180 through their daily actions the skills of automatically leading. See, you are auditioning
00:11:17.040 for your next position now okay and if you want a management position or a leadership position
00:11:23.020 then you have to lead before you are named a leader or a manager and that is how those people
00:11:27.520 are found so i would guess not knowing anything other than what you wrote in that the people who
00:11:34.400 own your company are looking at the skilled tradesmen and they're saying okay these guys
00:11:39.260 are great at what they do they're not necessarily leaders managers we're gonna have to bring someone
00:11:44.140 in to organize this okay and if you did what first of all you got to ask yourself you want that job
00:11:49.980 okay just because it's higher up on the pay scale potentially it probably i don't even know if it is
00:11:58.620 because a lot of times sales people make more than their managers um and i don't know how it
00:12:03.140 is in the trades but even if that's the case you're going to need to ask yourself do i want
00:12:10.100 that job because i'm going to tell you dude managing and leading people is the hardest job
00:12:14.420 you could possibly ever have it's the fucking hardest job which is why it's so rare so doing 0.63
00:12:20.200 it well that must be being good at it yeah yeah yeah so there's that now if you wanted that 0.94
00:12:26.560 position then you should be and should have been already working on developing your leadership
00:12:33.680 management organizational skills to show that you can do that job before you actually get the job
00:12:41.120 and this is a big problem with people who work for other companies you know they're an employee or
00:12:46.400 they're an entrepreneur or whatever you want to call it a lot of times these people expect just
00:12:51.020 to move up the chain because they're there thinking that when they get to that spot then they can get
00:12:55.740 the money and learn the skill when in reality you have to learn the skill display the skill and then
00:13:01.320 get chosen and then you get the title and that's how it works in an organization almost exclusively
00:13:05.980 um so those are all things that i would think about now to answer your question
00:13:12.700 i i really don't even know that you're seeing it correctly because just because you didn't
00:13:20.000 get that job doesn't mean it's a dead-end job what it really means is you didn't display enough
00:13:24.620 skills uh to be an automatic choice for that job and like we talk about all the time on the show
00:13:30.680 the only way you truly move ahead and the only way you win with intrapreneurship and
00:13:36.960 entrepreneurship is by being undeniably the choice. If you are inside an organization,
00:13:41.700 you have to be undeniably the choice for that next role. If you are an entrepreneur, then
00:13:46.340 your company and your product and what you offer has to be the undeniable choice for the consumer.
00:13:51.360 And this is what we talk about when we talk about what people think it takes versus what it actually
00:13:56.320 takes is usually two different things. So I don't know if you're in a dead end job because I don't
00:14:00.640 know what the company's trying to do i don't know where they're trying to grow i don't know where
00:14:04.860 they're trying to expand it i would be very careful to say it's a dead-end job just because
00:14:08.500 you didn't get this one position yeah yeah yeah i think that's important i feel like he's definitely
00:14:13.200 looking at it wrong and i think too well i mean if they're saying that you got all the skills and
00:14:17.860 you're so valuable in that in that place why are you not replicating yourself then that's right
00:14:23.480 well you should be you know i'm saying like they're telling you what the problem is take
00:14:27.540 all the people that you got around you and make them as good as you yeah you know i mean i think
00:14:31.800 of it like this too because i know you know you talk about this especially like in businesses and
00:14:35.320 how important culture is i would think it would probably make more sense bro if if you were the
00:14:40.200 guy because you do know the culture you've been there long you know i'm saying rather than have
00:14:43.900 to bring somebody outside in that doesn't know the culture and have to teach you know i'm saying
00:14:47.860 yeah it makes more sense for an organization except when you don't have someone that's even
00:14:51.460 close to filling that role that's right i think that in them from the employees perspective and
00:14:55.540 i've seen this in other companies they come from a place of insecurity that if they make other
00:15:00.580 people as good as them their value would not be as they think they are in the company yeah that's
00:15:05.220 not the truth that's not the truth but from an employee's perspective that's that's scarcity
00:15:09.400 loser thinking yes yeah yes where's that gonna get you the best players the best the highest
00:15:15.160 paid people make everybody around them better period um so to answer your question about 0.92
00:15:20.920 whether or not it's a dead-end job i i don't know if it is if it is then obviously you got to make
00:15:28.960 some changes you're 27 years old bro that's not old no you're very young you just gained six seven
00:15:34.860 eight years of real experience that you have that's super valuable but still even like if you
00:15:40.080 were going to go to another place or you're going to go to start your own place or whatever it is
00:15:44.220 those skills still have to be learned so there's no way around that right like so i think you just
00:15:49.980 really have to audit where you're at and and be honest with yourself and not just look at it like
00:15:54.240 oh well the man's trying to screw me there's always two sides to the decision it's so easy
00:15:59.120 to jump to escape dude 99 of people do that and then what happens is they flip from job to job 0.99
00:16:04.800 job job job never understanding that they're the fucking problem as to why they're not moving 0.84
00:16:08.940 anywhere so yeah you know that that would be my i dude i could almost guarantee you that's what's 0.96
00:16:15.080 going on yeah just from my experience yep so you're not you're not shopping any of the
00:16:20.040 right exactly i'm saying you're like i've been here longer than anybody that's right look it 0.98
00:16:25.140 they bring this douchebag in from out fuck this guy right yeah he's not here with us and then you 0.99
00:16:30.740 start becoming a toxic employee right real quick and if you want if you if you really want to show 0.99
00:16:35.820 your value and let's say right now you're having uh an awakening um and they do bring someone in
00:16:42.560 the best way to show your value is to make that guy's job easier not harder not sit around with 0.94
00:16:47.880 the dude smoking cigarettes bashing this guy because he doesn't know what the fuck's going on 0.65
00:16:52.520 yeah no it yeah he doesn't know what he's going what's going on yet because but he will and he's 1.00
00:16:57.400 going to value the motherfucker that helps him figure it out so there's your opportunity right 0.98
00:17:01.280 there but you know this is a common thing you know everybody tends to think that it's the boss's fault 0.99
00:17:07.740 or it's the company's fault or it's someone else's fault when in reality dude every single problem
00:17:12.340 that we have in our lives whether they be personal or professional come down to the same common
00:17:16.560 denominator which is us and we have to be honest with ourselves if we ever want to truly move past
00:17:22.920 where we are now 100 dude 100 i love it i love it uh guys andy we got a video submission question
00:17:31.980 let's check this out hey andy and dj my name is josh um i'm a home hospice nurse um by trade but
00:17:39.980 I also do real estate. I do some residential. I'm getting into commercial real estate,
00:17:44.700 looking to build out a team. I have an investor who is very well-versed in the space,
00:17:51.020 wanting to build this team as well. He wants me to be one of the team leads, meaning I can get
00:17:55.460 obviously some financial incentives through the team doing well, but then also just the
00:18:01.620 financial incentives for commercial real estate are insane. I make about $80,000 a year as a nurse.
00:18:07.420 benefit of my job is I only have to work
00:18:10.480 salary and I probably work like 20 hours a week
00:18:13.260 so I can dump time into the other things
00:18:16.100 this year I'm going to make probably close to $100,000
00:18:19.180 or so in commissions with the goal of next year
00:18:22.340 making close to $400,000 and then scaling up
00:18:25.360 from there. My question for you is
00:18:28.620 how do you know when it's time to jump?
00:18:31.640 I feel like God's been calling me to jump for a while now
00:18:34.420 and so that's my question is
00:18:36.840 you know, when is it smart to make that jump versus, uh, you know, I have a family, I have
00:18:43.100 three kids, I have a wife, everything like that. Um, so just trying to, you know, balance the
00:18:49.060 financial responsibilities of my life, um, with taking the risks that I know that I'm called to
00:18:56.420 do. Thanks y'all. Yeah, dude, look, this is actually one of the simplest things in the world
00:19:04.820 to figure out but it's one of the hardest things in the world to do okay so you're making 80 and
00:19:11.920 an extra 100 150 with commission on your real estate so you're making 200 something grand right
00:19:16.900 230 whatever all right you want to get to 400 and then you want to go beyond that okay you have to
00:19:24.540 understand one thing is that you can never be as good as someone putting in half or part-time
00:19:34.340 energy as someone who's fully dedicated you'll never win that way you understand that because
00:19:39.280 you understand there's a requirement to make that jump the way to make the jump is very simple
00:19:45.780 it's very simple you go and you audit all of your expenses your house your car all the things you
00:19:53.180 got to pay for your family and your kids and you get really organized on your finances you bring
00:19:58.780 that back and you look at the data you say all right this is what it takes for me to live to
00:20:03.260 to live am i making enough in my new focus to pay those bills and if the answer is yes
00:20:15.460 then the time is to jump okay which you are because you're only making 80 at your job and
00:20:22.900 you're making 150 on top of that and if you'll be able to pay your bills with 80 then you're 0.96
00:20:28.300 able to pay it with 150 your fucking problem is you don't want to give up that 80 that's right 0.98
00:20:32.880 Okay. And that's where most people get stuck. Okay. So most people get stuck because they, 0.99
00:20:38.120 they look at this situation and they say, okay, I want to get to here. I want to do this. I want
00:20:43.340 to do that. I'm making this over here and I got this and I'm doing well, but I don't want to give
00:20:48.360 this first thing up because then I'm taking a hit when in reality, you taking that hit is going to
00:20:53.880 allow you to earn exponentially on the other side of that. And so while it's very simple,
00:20:58.640 live below your means make the jump when your new cash flow could cover that expense 0.89
00:21:03.680 people just don't want to give up that fucking that that initial nut that they're making bro 0.78
00:21:08.760 it's a safety net and dude and that's what gets people stuck okay so this is actually a very 0.51
00:21:14.020 simple equation if you're truly truly truly dedicated to moving beyond like you say god's
00:21:20.160 calling you to do this bigger thing then you're gonna have to make a jump at some point and uh
00:21:25.780 get off the pot dude and it sounds to me like you're in a position to do so right now
00:21:30.900 so that would be my recommendation for anybody that's looking to start something at you know
00:21:36.180 that starts as a side gig to make their main gig the minute that the side gig that you're trying
00:21:41.620 to get into can pay the bills and you can survive that's when you should jump in sometimes you have
00:21:47.060 to shrink your lifestyle sometimes you have to get a work a shittier car or you have to
00:21:51.140 downsize your home you have to you know cut your expenses it doesn't sound like you're really even
00:21:57.660 going to need to do that so it sounds like you're in a much better position than most people um
00:22:01.760 but people don't like doing that dude and because they don't want to take that little hit
00:22:05.800 right now because for whatever reason right they got an extra salary coming in or you know it's
00:22:11.720 allowing them special luxuries that you know they don't want to give up right maybe they're driving
00:22:17.920 in a nice car maybe they've got a nice you know yukon or something and you know they're afraid 1.00
00:22:23.660 that their friends are going to see him as like a loser all kinds of emotional stupid shit that 1.00
00:22:29.060 doesn't matter two or three or five ten years from now yeah so just take the fucking hit move 1.00
00:22:35.440 into the thing that you want and then just focus on that and go with that because dude if you stay 0.95
00:22:41.020 in this in between this is all you're ever going to have the ceilings there a hundred percent and
00:22:45.920 it's the fear that keeps people in that locked in that place yeah and can we can we dive a little
00:22:51.740 bit deeper in you know because you were saying like you know if you're only giving just a little
00:22:55.580 bit over here and a little bit over here you're not going to be able to win can you expand on
00:22:58.880 that piece like what do you you talking about your energy level your what are we saying here
00:23:02.940 well dude i mean everybody's only everybody only has a limited amount of focus and energy on a
00:23:08.640 daily basis and it doesn't matter how good or how skilled you are if you have let's say um
00:23:14.800 you're splitting your time between you know two different things and one thing's getting
00:23:19.820 60 and the other thing's getting 40 and then you're competing against the guy who's all in
00:23:25.240 and that guy's giving 100 you can't reasonably believe that your 60 is going to beat that guy's
00:23:30.620 100 it's not real doesn't matter how it doesn't matter how good you are dude you're not that much
00:23:35.920 better than than the competition you take the best pro sports player at their thing if they only went
00:23:41.660 60% hard and everybody else going 100 they're gonna they're not gonna be even playing on the
00:23:45.500 team no matter how gifted they are okay so we've got to be honest about our own capabilities and
00:23:51.080 what we can give in order to make that investment in our skill set in our future and what it takes 0.99
00:23:57.580 to win and it doesn't take part effort it just doesn't and we see a lot of this shit on the 0.91
00:24:02.760 internet about side hustles and this and that and this great okay but unless you eventually make 0.93
00:24:08.080 that jump into the thing you're just you're just messing around that's what it ends up coming down 0.98
00:24:15.900 to yeah you know i feel like i've heard you say before like you hate that fucking phrase like the 0.95
00:24:19.900 side hustle culture stuff well i do because you shouldn't be side hustling unless like anything 0.94
00:24:24.600 that you take on as a side dude you only have so much opportunity there is a cost to every
00:24:30.100 opportunity okay it's called opportunity cost and if you're going to fill your time with something
00:24:36.060 on the side that's something on the side should be something that eventually eclipses everything
00:24:40.320 that you're doing otherwise otherwise a waste of your time yeah right like if you're mowing grass
00:24:46.380 on the side of your main business and the goal is just to mow some grass and get a couple extra
00:24:52.940 bucks what what does that really do for you nothing but if your goal is to create the the
00:24:59.180 largest lawn care company in your state because off of this that's a totally different thing yeah
00:25:04.760 okay and that's your energy in the side quote-unquote hustles needs to be something that
00:25:11.980 could eventually grow into the main thing and that's that's what i'm talking about yeah with
00:25:15.720 the exception of it be like you know unless it's like a hobby or something like you just like doing
00:25:19.760 some shit on the side whatever as long i think what i'm asking is like as long as the expectation
00:25:24.920 is i mean it depends dude we're talking our our our to our our goal here is to make people 0.98
00:25:33.180 the best that they can be and to earn as much motherfucking money as they can okay like i'm
00:25:39.000 not yeah there's asterisks and there's exception there's nuance right like oh i'm a woodworker and 0.81
00:25:44.580 i like to make these little widgets and sell them and it brings me um some sort of fulfillment by 0.74
00:25:50.660 doing so that's not what i'm talking about yeah i'm talking about building a fucking actual career 0.94
00:25:55.360 makes you a lot of fucking money 100 dude 100 i love it guys we got one more and by the way 0.94
00:26:01.740 it's okay to be a carpenter and do the little widgets and love to do it 0.98
00:26:06.260 and maybe you could turn that into a fucking amazing business but if you're just doing it
00:26:11.760 for the transaction you're always going to be stuck in this in this place of lack when it comes 0.82
00:26:16.020 to finances yeah i love it man uh our third and final question guys andy question number three
00:26:24.200 andy i used to be in great shape uh but after having kids and focusing on family life my
00:26:31.440 fitness has taken a backseat now that my youngest is starting school i want to focus on getting back
00:26:37.820 in shape for the new year but i feel so far behind that i don't even know where to begin
00:26:42.200 what's the best way to ease back into a fitness routine uh to not ease back into it okay and just 0.90
00:26:50.160 say i'm gonna fucking do it i'm gonna do it no matter what i'm gonna do it no matter how fucking 0.56
00:26:54.800 hard it is and how tired i am and how much i don't want to do it i'm gonna do it regardless 0.96
00:26:58.240 all of that and there's nothing that's going to get in my fucking way and i'm going to do it and 1.00
00:27:03.860 so this whole idea of i'm going to ease in that's bullshit that's loser shit you're going to fucking 1.00
00:27:09.440 lose you're not going to be able to fix it okay so my recommendation would be to change your mindset 1.00
00:27:15.000 about who the fuck you are okay are you a soft pudgy mediocre person or are you someone who 0.99
00:27:23.180 takes their fitness serious who wants to set a great example for their children who wants to be 1.00
00:27:28.020 the absolute best that they can be. What kind of person are you? And if you are that soft pudgy
00:27:37.560 version right now, you can make a decision today that changes that identity. See, changing identity
00:27:43.780 does not require long periods of time. It requires a definitive decision. I am no longer going to do
00:27:52.140 this shit and I am going to do this shit. Bro, I was 350 fucking pounds at one time, okay? I know 1.00
00:27:58.320 what this is like. I know what it's like to lie to yourself. I know what it's like to tell yourself,
00:28:03.360 oh man, I'd really like to be in shape, but I don't have time to do this or my work's really
00:28:07.520 hard or I've gone through all these things or I got this injury or I know what it's like.
00:28:14.580 I know what it's like. They're all lies. It's all bullshit. It's all self-justification nonsense
00:28:20.460 and for you to get where you say you want to go you're going to have to kill that version of 0.98
00:28:25.320 yourself and that's going to come down to you building yourself into someone who identifies 1.00
00:28:31.440 as a winner in all areas of their life and getting the fuck after it okay because who you are right 0.96
00:28:38.180 now the when you look in the mirror today you have to understand that what you see is not a product 0.97
00:28:46.560 of who you are right now. What you see is a product of who you have been in that past version
00:28:54.680 of you and the decisions that they've made. And you can make a decision today to no longer be
00:29:01.080 that person. All right. When you choose to no longer be that person and you start to back that
00:29:07.880 up with actions today, you are no longer that fat version that made those weak choices that
00:29:13.140 produce this result that you're unhappy with. You're a new version and it's just going to take
00:29:17.180 a little bit of time for the material, the materialization of your, your, uh, body and
00:29:23.180 your mind and all of these things to come together. Obviously I'm going to recommend that you do 75
00:29:29.180 hard. Okay. Because the problem for 99.99% of people is not that they don't know what to do.
00:29:37.160 They know exactly what to do. We do not have a shortage of information. We have a shortage of
00:29:42.060 the discipline and the ability to adhere we have a we have a population of people that know what 0.99
00:29:48.300 the fuck they want know what needs to be done to get that but then can't fucking do it and that's 0.98
00:29:54.460 the problem that live hard and 75 hard solves and that's why it's a program that is a lifestyle 1.00
00:30:00.660 program that you repeat over and over and over again every year because discipline and adherence
00:30:05.940 are skills. They're skills. They're not traits, which means if you don't practice them, you're
00:30:13.100 going to get worse at them and you're not going to be able to follow through on the things that
00:30:16.920 you want to do. So when you fix this problem that exists in 99% of human beings, which is
00:30:24.080 discipline, mental toughness, grit, fortitude, the ability to do things when they don't feel
00:30:28.360 like doing things and doing them at a high level, when you fix that, which is what that program does, 0.75
00:30:33.380 which is why it's changed more lives than any other motherfucking program ever you fix everything 0.93
00:30:38.980 okay you don't just fix your fitness you fix your career you fix your mind you fix your body you 0.82
00:30:46.300 fix your family you fix everything because you know what you want to be you just haven't been
00:30:52.800 able to follow through to do and produce what it is that you want to be and that's what that
00:30:58.060 program does it fixes it for you for forever okay not just once it's a it's a lifestyle program
00:31:03.860 you got to do it every year okay um but when that blade of discipline and adherence and mental
00:31:10.460 toughness gets dull that's when you get right back into it you see what i'm saying so do you
00:31:17.540 think also the problem lies in like you know people have these negative habits that they
00:31:22.440 don't that doesn't contribute and like slowly they get to that 300 350 and then they see that
00:31:28.920 the mountain is so big yeah i can't really do anything to might as well continue do you think
00:31:33.720 one of the problems is that as well yeah 100 dude you get so far down the road that the mountain
00:31:38.580 looks so big that you don't think you can climb it but here's the problem if you wait another year
00:31:42.680 it's going to get bigger and you wait another year it's going to get bigger and what's it going
00:31:45.920 to be in five years what's it going to be in 10 years are you even going to be alive okay when i 0.92
00:31:50.620 was 350 fucking pounds at 36 years old i had to be honest with myself i'm 36 years old i'm 350 0.83
00:31:59.320 pounds where am i going to be at 46 yeah am i what am i going to be 450 yeah i'm going to be 500 0.98
00:32:06.560 those people don't live long no that's what i'm saying so i had to be honest with myself 0.97
00:32:10.780 about what it was going what was going to happen had i not fucking taken control of the things that 0.80
00:32:16.940 i did and because i did everything in my life got better everything my business is skyrocketed my 0.94
00:32:24.380 confidence went through the roof okay my standards went up which affect everything in your life
00:32:29.620 so when you think about like you know oh man there's so much to do here i'm not sure if i
00:32:36.920 should you know it's going to take forever well if you wait it's going to take even longer than
00:32:41.680 that 100 and dude the truth of the matter is it doesn't take that long it just doesn't all right 0.98
00:32:47.420 what is six months of your life over the course of your life it's a fucking blip it's a blip
00:32:54.840 so you're going to tell me that you're not willing to invest 75 days or even a full year of your life 0.98
00:33:01.280 to become that version of yourself when you've got 60 years in front of you if you don't have 0.86
00:33:07.440 that then you fucking ain't gonna make it bro no that the time's gonna go regardless dude look man 0.99
00:33:12.780 you know i'm saying like it's it's real simple you either are or you fucking aren't you either 0.99
00:33:17.780 are or you aren't you're either serious about it or you fucking aren't and most people aren't yeah 0.99
00:33:22.740 most people just talk a lot of shit they talk about how they want to be they think about and 0.99
00:33:27.220 then eventually when they can't get to where they want to be and enough time goes by it becomes 0.99
00:33:30.840 someone else's fault a few two years ago i was when i was diving deep into 75 hard i just looked
00:33:36.840 up like how big of a percentage is 75 days out of the average life expectancy of an american which
00:33:43.760 is about 75 years it's 0.27 yeah it's less than one percent of your life that can change the
00:33:51.420 course of your life forever that's right that's right well and dude this is also why we spent
00:33:56.360 two and a half years building the operator standard okay the the success of 75 hard has been
00:34:02.840 incredible. Okay. It's been historic, but the reality is, is what if we could take that same
00:34:09.960 concept and apply it to every single fucking area of someone's life to where they can even go into 0.94
00:34:16.640 a system, not knowing where they want to be. It can help them figure out where they want to be 0.97
00:34:22.740 and then tell them day by day, by day, by day, by day, exactly what they need to do until they
00:34:26.700 get to that point. And then it scores them on how they do it. And then by the way, you're surrounded
00:34:31.340 by thousands and thousands and thousands of other people that are also on the same track you're not
00:34:35.900 getting bombarded with bullshit or ads or ai nonsense it's positive atmosphere so like dude
00:34:41.900 this is and that's where the msco project is too for those of you guys who who uh you know want the
00:34:47.100 personal development deep that's where we do it but like dude that's why i built the whole thing
00:34:52.380 man what you said earlier is the core problem for everybody they know how to do it but they
00:34:57.540 can't do it and they don't know why and that's where the system comes in day by day by day
00:35:02.560 most people believe that things like discipline and the ability to adhere are magical traits that
00:35:09.960 people are born with i used to think that too yeah dude i thought that too i thought the same
00:35:14.420 thing too when i was younger i definitely thought that you guys have to understand that when you see
00:35:19.800 someone who's disciplined and you see someone who's killing it and you see someone who does
00:35:24.200 what they're supposed to do that is a skill that they practice day in and day out and day in and
00:35:30.520 day out and yes maybe they never talk about it maybe they've been doing it so long it becomes 0.96
00:35:35.560 who the fuck they are okay but those people are not gifted with massive amounts of discipline or 0.98
00:35:41.940 toughness or adherence that you think they are okay they weren't born with that and that's the 0.99
00:35:48.620 biggest misconception we all look at other people and we're like god i wish i had what that guy had
00:35:53.440 I wish I could yeah I wish I could stick to a program like that person could I wish I could
00:35:58.720 choose at the restaurant what food is healthy for me instead of having to always order uh you know
00:36:04.980 the the stuff that's bad for me because I can't say no to it like dude do you realize how much 0.99
00:36:12.060 power you're giving away by not being able to control what the fuck you eat and drink and how 0.98
00:36:17.420 you move like you're giving away all of it because those things what you eat what you drink how you 0.99
00:36:23.060 move who you associate with all of those things that are in our control dictate the majority of
00:36:29.340 the outcome of our lives the quality of your life yeah so it's the majority like you can just control 0.52
00:36:34.600 those and your life's going to be pretty fucking good you'll be all right yeah that behavior
00:36:38.620 transcends into every area of your life correct correct so it's it's a matter of you know like 0.99
00:36:46.580 dude you say oh i want to ease into it dude fuck that no such thing as you listen i'm gonna tell 0.92
00:36:51.440 you right now whoever asked this question ease into it let me know how it goes next year call 0.99
00:36:55.720 me back next year how many years you've been trying to ease into it yeah how many you think 0.99
00:36:59.500 is the first time you ever tried to ease into it motherfucker maybe you should like figure out 0.98
00:37:03.680 that easing into it ain't getting it done that's right the problem i think is that the men the 0.99
00:37:08.560 mindset change that he said that i have to decide today that i'm not going to tolerate this anymore
00:37:13.680 and then when people start taking steps step one is like very excited two to five like what happens
00:37:19.200 in 75 hard they get into the grunt of doing the same things over and over and they feel like this
00:37:23.880 is not working and they quit and they go back to step one well you know that's why when you fail
00:37:28.300 you got to go back to day one if you fail and you do it right and you get through 30 days and go back
00:37:33.920 to day one then you get through 50 days and go back to day one and then you finish 75 hard i 0.82
00:37:39.340 promise you're gonna be in fucking shape 100 yeah i want to bring up this point because i think this 0.86
00:37:43.620 is important too right i think you know when we're talking about reasons why people don't go you know 0.98
00:37:48.200 it's aziz point he brought up the the mountain right they fucking look like oh my goodness this
00:37:52.600 is a massive fucking mountain climb right yeah i think one of the other things too that a lot of 0.81
00:37:57.080 people i know myself included have also you know been through is that you can give you give all 0.98
00:38:02.380 these fucking excuses and justifications and my situation just so unique yeah it's not you know 0.85
00:38:07.620 what i'm saying like like and so it's like one of two camps dude and neither one well those are 0.98
00:38:12.900 the justifications and the lies that i'm talking about you are not unique your problems are not
00:38:18.460 unique you're not the only person ever had kids bro yeah you're not the only person that was ever
00:38:23.400 overweight and out of shape that was dissatisfied with their life that had a job and had kids and 0.99
00:38:29.560 had obligations in fact most of the motherfuckers that you look at that you admire have serious 0.99
00:38:35.840 obligations which is why they're serious about their fucking discipline because they have so much 0.99
00:38:42.380 to take care of see it's a different mentality the loser mentality will look at things and say 0.99
00:38:47.800 well i can't be disciplined because i got all this shit the winner mentality will look at i have to 0.99
00:38:52.320 be disciplined because i got all this shit and it's a different perspective okay so you have to 1.00
00:38:56.820 change that identity like dude you need to quit thinking that you're this fat powerless lazy human 1.00
00:39:03.520 being and start thinking like dude this is not who the fuck i am i'm this and then start behaving 0.99
00:39:09.400 accordingly. Like you've said so many times, like people who have way worse conditions than us 0.82
00:39:14.320 often end up doing better because they don't take the excuses. And I have a personal example
00:39:18.880 from Friday really quick. I was having like a rough day and I went to the gym and I saw a guy
00:39:24.060 probably in his sixties as his hand up next to a machine. And he was dressed like in a formal way,
00:39:29.660 not very gym cloth attire sort of thing. So I went up to him and said like, do you need help
00:39:33.960 in anything and he said no uh somebody's coming to help me i'm totally blind i'm completely blind
00:39:39.580 i can't see so i raised my hand and that guy over there will come to help me and then i went away
00:39:44.720 thinking that oh my god like i'm thinking about my problems that that guy who can't even see 0.99
00:39:49.760 he's in here getting done in here getting done i'm like stop being a bitch yeah i just went away 0.99
00:39:55.500 and did my workout dude i would take that even a step further i'll take that even a step further 0.99
00:39:59.520 Not only are there millions upon millions upon millions of people who have the exact same problems or worse than you that have done exactly what you want to do and even more than you want to do. 0.99
00:40:13.720 I will argue till the day I die that the reason that they're able to accomplish those things is because they had to learn to fucking fight. 0.99
00:40:24.160 Yeah. 0.99
00:40:24.360 Okay. People who have it easy, this whole idea that people, uh, you know, have easy street or
00:40:30.620 they got lucky or they got this and they got that, that is a loser justification because the reality 0.99
00:40:35.580 is the people who build the greatest shit, they do so out of necessity because they had to learn 1.00
00:40:40.800 how to fight through hardships their entire fucking lives. Okay. So you can sit there and 1.00
00:40:46.300 you can say, well, no, so-and-so had it easier than me or this or that or this, but dude, really 0.99
00:40:50.700 you're just being a bitch because the truth of the matter is is that the people who learn how to 0.98
00:40:55.440 fight and they have the most hardships usually end up with the greatest fucking stories yes and 0.99
00:41:00.940 that's the reality so it's not out of you know uh oh i'd like to it because it it it produces itself 0.97
00:41:09.200 out of necessity no fucking choice that's what's right you don't have a fucking choice one of the 0.82
00:41:14.580 questions that i guess asked all the time like after working with you for six years like what 0.98
00:41:19.380 of the many, many things that I've learned from you. And I say so many things, but the top two
00:41:24.060 things that I always try to inculcate in my behavior is first, what you did yesterday does
00:41:29.580 not matter. And number two, like the urgency of work today. Like you have said so many times,
00:41:35.000 like you have developed this habit. Like if I don't do this, I'm going to go dig ditches,
00:41:39.020 which is practically not a reality, but you have inculcated that habit to create that urgency.
00:41:45.500 And most of the people, when they start getting some success, they start getting so comfortable that their effort goes down.
00:41:51.380 Yeah, they don't think they can ever go back to the old way.
00:41:53.420 Yeah, it's not important.
00:41:54.520 I'm good.
00:41:55.120 I'm cush.
00:41:55.980 Yeah.
00:41:56.280 And that's why it goes hand in hand.
00:41:57.900 And also, dude, that's also why when people, one of the things I can't stand is like moral victories.
00:42:05.420 Okay.
00:42:05.780 Here's what I don't, I can't stand moral victory people.
00:42:08.720 Okay.
00:42:10.440 Yeah, we lost.
00:42:12.280 Yeah, I cheated. 0.57
00:42:14.000 Yeah, I fucked up my program.
00:42:15.500 yeah i did this i did that i did this but but i did this one thing okay and then that's how they
00:42:22.240 like take the win dude if you justify losing with moral victories moral victories is all you're ever 0.69
00:42:30.140 gonna fucking have and that's the thing that people miss well victories don't go on the scoreboard no 0.95
00:42:34.900 they fucking don't pay the bills either and dude i'm not saying you can't learn from your mistakes 0.99
00:42:39.780 i'm not saying that you can't look at things say okay we did this did this did this those are bad 0.99
00:42:44.920 we need to fix those we did that one thing it was good but we're not celebrating that one thing like 0.95
00:42:49.500 we won no you know loss is a fucking that's right that's right and everybody likes to pick that one 0.92
00:42:54.900 thing and they like to say well i did this better than i did yesterday and that comes from this 0.99
00:42:59.580 idea of easing into shit right that comes from this idea of starting at a reasonable pace or a 0.87
00:43:06.480 reasonable goal or a small this or small habits or this or that bro very few people can escape 0.98
00:43:14.040 their old identity by making minuscule decisions towards a new one very few very few okay the ones 1.00
00:43:21.660 that actually change are the ones that get so fucking sick of who they are they're like fuck 1.00
00:43:25.780 that motherfucker i ain't that person no more fuck him fuck fat andy i'm not eating that shit i'm not 1.00
00:43:31.400 drinking that shit i'm never going back to that and then they move forward and focus there and 1.00
00:43:36.160 like that's that's the people that win dude and this whole idea of like you know easing into shit 1.00
00:43:41.680 it just keeps people trapped inside their old identity because like dude when you're only making 0.57
00:43:46.540 one or two little changes but you have a lifetime of making those decisions you never break out of
00:43:54.240 the comfort of making those comfortable decisions yeah so yeah in the mountain metaphor here it's
00:43:59.720 right i will argue this dude this is the biggest gripe that people have on 75 heart right you got
00:44:04.880 all these people who were like oh well it's too extreme not sustainable it's not dude it's what
00:44:11.720 do you mean it's not sustainable it's getting bigger and bigger every single year people have
00:44:15.120 done it i know and they keep doing it and the reason they keep doing it is because they realize
00:44:18.400 what i said it's a perishable skill just like shooting a pistol just like playing a musical 0.97
00:44:23.640 instrument just like fucking anything anything if you don't practice it you won't have it 0.81
00:44:28.480 and so like dude when we think about like you know this whole idea of like setting realistic 0.88
00:44:36.500 goals it's just not powerful enough for people to escape that the decade of of poor decisions 0.95
00:44:42.620 behind that yeah you've got to throw them in the motherfucking pool that's why like on the 0.96
00:44:47.080 mountain example it's like okay and then people will say well most people fail most people fail 0.99
00:44:51.060 anyway that's right tell me how many of these people that you said make gradual decisions end
00:44:56.320 up winning yeah yeah right but i think about in the mountain metaphor it's like okay you're gonna 0.80
00:45:03.220 just take one step today and that's a win no take as many fucking steps as you can today yeah as 0.65
00:45:08.360 many as you can yeah and then you can go to sleep gonna wake up and do it that's right you know i 0.96
00:45:12.340 fucking love it man dude i think people got better today there's no doubt about that dog well they
00:45:17.060 either did or they didn't that's the thing you can't save everybody bro it's a it's a personal 0.96
00:45:21.340 decision and i can give the roadmap i can say what to do i can tell you the way it is and you
00:45:26.040 could go on and believe all these other people who really haven't done a goddamn thing okay but
00:45:30.340 i'm telling you as someone who grew up a lot like most of you this is how i've done it and this is 0.80
00:45:36.920 what i figured out and it seems to work because we have tens of millions of people doing the 0.96
00:45:40.820 goddamn program you know what i mean and i didn't advertise it for one fucking day yeah so yeah the 0.98
00:45:46.580 point is stop thinking you have to ease into everything that's weakness dude you either are 1.00
00:45:51.280 or you aren't you either are that fat lazy version of yourself or you're fucking done with that 1.00
00:45:56.040 motherfucker and you're moving forward which one is it i love it man i love it guys andy that was 1.00
00:46:02.140 three all right well we will see you tomorrow for cti don't forget dude if you want the personal 0.99
00:46:08.580 development uh you know you want more of this if you want all the in-depth personal development
00:46:14.660 how to win how to kick ass how to build businesses how to make money etc etc etc dude you got to go 0.95
00:46:20.360 get the mfco project and get it at the operatorstandard.com all right don't be a hoe share 0.99
00:46:24.940 the show went from sleeping on the floor now my jewelry box froze fuck a bowl fuck a stove 1.00
