00:06:49.620 customers are smart and they see that and so when you unnecessarily draw negative attention

00:07:20.140 recognize that you're trying to emulate a bunch of things that they're doing but then also talking
00:07:25.200 shit on that person which makes no sense to the customer and they ultimately end up seeing you as
00:07:29.860 insecure, inferior version of that brand, of that person, of that influencer, okay? So that's point
00:07:36.360 number two. The customers hate it and they're smart and they figure out why you're doing it.
00:07:40.840 Point number three. Here's the thing that you really have to be careful about when talking shit
00:07:46.740 and this, I think this point keeps people or puts more people out of business than really any of the
00:07:52.520 other points that I'm going to cover here. If you get on a bigger company's radar, okay, they have more
00:07:59.820 resources than you. They have a bigger audience than you. They have more money than you. They have a
00:08:05.240 bigger reputation than you. Those things, they probably have bigger supply chains. They probably
00:08:11.480 have the ability to do things that you can't do and they probably have the ability to do them a lot
00:08:16.460 faster. So when you talk bad about another company and then you end up getting on their radar, a lot of
00:08:24.200 times those companies will just come up with ways to make shit hard for you. You know, try to do
00:08:30.480 everything they can to make your life difficult just because they can. This happens all the time
00:08:36.820 in business. Okay. So you never want to get on somebody's radar that you've, that has more power
00:08:42.900 than you. It's a, it's a smart strategic move. All right. And a lot of you guys don't think about
00:08:48.340 that. You don't realize that if a big company takes a little company and takes their idea and brings
00:08:55.800 it to market, it's not your idea anymore. It's their idea. You don't understand that. So stop

00:09:21.520 from moving up or it'll put you out of business and you won't be able to figure out why you'll be
00:09:28.340 able, you'll be sitting there. All these things keep happening to you and you'll be thinking,
00:09:33.080 what the fuck? Why is my ad spend going up? Why, why is this company doing this? Why are my products
00:09:39.900 not getting, because dude, the other company saw what you were doing and then took it right from you
00:09:44.420 and went and put it into play. And you can't recognize that. So guys stay off other companies radars.
00:09:50.420 And here's the fourth point. The fourth point I think is the most important point here. All right.
00:09:57.800 One day when you get big, which you will, if you keep working hard, if you keep your head down,
00:10:04.080 you keep your mouth shut and you do what you can do to be the best you can, you will garner

00:10:24.700 these big companies radars as default. Now that's not a bad thing because at the top level of business,
00:10:32.880 most of these bigger companies, they work together. The CEOs, they're friends. The CEOs are hanging out

00:10:43.560 each other continue to win. And a lot of you guys don't understand that. A small business level,
00:10:48.480 you know, it's a lot of shit talking. It's a lot of boo-hoo and it's a lot of, you know,
00:10:52.480 oh, you know, Tony's doing this and this and this and Nick's doing this and this and this and Andy's
00:10:57.220 doing this and this and this. And dude, and that's what small business is. And that's why it stays
00:11:01.420 small. All right. But when you get up into the big leagues where you're trying to get to,
00:11:06.400 there might come a time where you want to be friends with that guy that you hate right now
00:11:10.800 for no other reason than he's where you want to be. And you're not. So the problem with this is,
00:11:17.380 is that when you get to a point, let's say you go out and get to a point where you're respected,
00:11:21.860 you have a big piece of the pie and you're on the radar of the, of the market leader or whatever.
00:11:28.020 Right. And you say, well, fuck, I want to really go meet that guy. I don't want to talk to him.
00:11:32.000 They're going to remember those swipes you took because they see them, even though they may not
00:11:37.260 acknowledge them. And what's going to happen. They're going to say no to your meeting.

00:12:23.900 they decided they don't want to work with you. And then what? What if one of those companies was
00:12:28.800 the company that was going to come in and buy you out so you could exit? What if one of those
00:12:33.400 companies owns another company that could sell your products all over the world? What if one of those
00:12:39.280 companies could manufacture something for you? You're severely limiting your options by doing these
00:12:45.840 kind of behaviors, guys? And it kills more small business than any other point. Talking shit kills
00:12:54.180 more small business and keeps more businesses small and keeps them financially struggling than any other
00:13:00.580 point. And if you do it, you're, you know, you're welcome to do it. But if you do it, I think you're
00:13:06.900 pretty stupid because there's a lot of very smart reasons as to why not to. And all it takes is you
00:13:12.860 humbling yourself and saying, yeah, you know, I am being a little bit jealous. You know, that guy's
00:13:19.520 where I want to be. I want to be like that. What can I learn from him? How can I be like him? You
00:13:25.380 don't have to hate people like that, guys. It's okay. It's okay to emulate. It's okay to learn from.
