00:03:37.800 you know, I was dealing with that recovery. And right after that, like three weeks after
00:03:43.780 that, my left knee dislocated out of nowhere. I was not even doing anything cool. It just
00:03:50.420 popped out. So I had to go to the hospital for that. And then two weeks later, my other
00:03:54.020 knee dislocated. No way. Yes. It kept life interesting. I guess you could say. I'd say.
00:03:59.740 You weren't looking at it that way. Because I was like, I was so scared to even move or go
00:04:04.480 up and down the stairs holding my daughter because I was scared that my, like, I was
00:04:08.280 just going to fall apart. Yeah. Um, damn dude. I wouldn't even think of that. Yeah.

00:08:33.680 vain, but just to remind myself, like, holy crap. Like I am so different now. Do you ever
00:08:39.880 look back at like the day, like, you know how, like you're saying you went right into
00:08:43.120 it and you were at rock bottom. One of the things that I think is important to note is
00:08:48.940 how actually strong you were at that time. Because one of the things I look back at when
00:08:54.060 I was like, when I was really heavy and out of shape was I thought I was so weak, but I
00:09:00.380 actually was strong enough to push through the hardest part, which is those first 15
00:09:03.920 or 16 days. You know, like you ever look back now and think like, damn, dude, I was
00:09:08.500 a little bit tougher than what I thought.
00:09:09.920 Oh, I knew I was tough because I went through a C-section and two random knee dislocations.

00:10:18.120 um, there's always something to worry about, but when it gets super, super powerful, I now
00:10:24.840 know what to do to fix it. Because the fact that essentially the second I started 75 hard
00:10:31.360 and I was doing that to set aside time for just me and doing the work that I need to do
00:10:36.860 on me, I was 10 million times the mom, like instantly, instantly from day one, because I
00:10:45.140 was putting aside that time for me because you can't give what you don't have. That's right.
00:10:48.960 So I, if I'm burning myself out, only taking care of my daughter and I have absolutely nothing in my
00:10:54.800 stores, how am I supposed to give her the love and attention and, you know, focus that she needs
00:10:59.360 or even be prepared and have clean pajamas for her. If I'm like depressed, laying on the couch,
00:11:04.900 watching game of Thrones, drinking wine, like, you know, and that's the paradox that people,
00:11:08.940 people learn on the program, right? Yeah. Um, you've talked to, I'm sure a bunch of people
00:11:13.800 who've done the program. Almost every single person that tells me, uh, about the program
00:11:17.700 tells me some version of what you just said. Yeah. They say, dude, I thought it was going to
00:11:21.960 take up all my time. And in fact, what it did was it showed me that I'm wasting a lot of my time.
00:11:26.280 Yeah. I was reading a book and it was talking about how, uh, 20% of your effort makes up 80%
00:11:33.660 of your results. So if you, if you put the big stones in your bucket first and take care of the big
00:11:38.840 stuff first, the little smaller stuff that doesn't have to get done, like the sand and the little
00:11:43.720 stones, they'll fit in that bucket. But if you put that stuff in first, the big stones won't fit
00:11:47.860 ever, ever. Yeah. Never, ever. What were your results? Um, I lost 34 pounds. I've lost 40. Now

00:13:19.300 third Sunday came and went. And I was like, this is really not that hard, you know? And it totally
00:13:24.060 changed my perspective on what I was able to accomplish because I had a huge mental block that had been
00:13:29.640 conditioned in me that you had to have a cheat day every fucking week. Yes. You know, the best
00:13:33.620 thing I ever heard on 75 was your stomach does not have eyes. Yeah. That if you eat nutrient dense
00:13:41.060 food, even though you really want whatever it is you want, like the second you're full, it's over.

00:13:52.920 and I don't even talk about it like work. Cause it's not like I don't have cravings for other things.

00:14:32.860 the way. And like, dude, if you would just stick to your diet and you get that way and you start

00:14:42.060 saying? That's literally only next step that you need to take. It's just fill your stomach because
00:14:45.960 that's literally all your body's telling you. That's a great point. Yeah. I've never even talked
00:14:49.420 about that before, but that is great. Yeah. So what, what do you, what would you say to people
00:14:53.620 who are thinking about it? Well, just the, I know a lot of people just say, just do it,
00:14:59.720 which I mean, yes, but, um, that you have nothing to lose, but excuses is my number one thing.
00:15:06.220 Um, what do you do? What do you do now when you catch yourself making excuses? Cause cause I know
00:15:11.220 like I still see, I think one of the biggest things that 75 hard does is it makes you aware of your
00:15:16.500 excuses. Right. Um, actually I was, I was telling them earlier, um, the best book that I read on 75
00:15:24.020 hard the first time was, uh, five second rule by Mel Robbins. Have you read that one? I haven't,
00:15:28.980 but I'm familiar with concept. Yeah. So your brain, like the second that you decide that you need to
00:15:35.160 have to, or want to, should to anything, do something, whether it's waking up early, you know,
00:15:41.080 sitting down to do some work, doing your homework, blah, blah, blah. You're, you have five seconds
00:15:47.060 from when you think that thought, like, I need to have to do this. You have five, four, three, two,
00:15:51.740 one before your brain can start, um, making excuses and finding reasons why you shouldn't.

00:16:32.260 it off and I go outside. Yeah. I don't finish the episode. I don't say, Oh, start at five.
00:16:37.660 Like, no, I just get up and go. That's a huge deal, man. It's sort of like the production

00:17:35.080 but it's something that I've been teaching for a long time. And, um, you know, when, so when you
00:17:39.360 guys have thoughts and you guys have, uh, frustrations and you guys have net, you know,
00:17:44.020 comfort thoughts, meaning like, you know, this bullshit that we all tell us, Oh man, I had a long
00:17:48.340 day. I don't feel, I still got that, but you know, no one's going to know, or, you know, or,
00:17:55.540 you know, I don't know. Like, I, I don't know if I feel like maybe this would be the day that I just
00:18:00.780 start over tomorrow. Like you start thinking that shit, you got to fucking go. You got to get the
00:18:04.900 fuck up, put on your shoes and go outside and work out. And like, I think that concept, it applies
00:18:10.840 in, in literally every area of life. And it turns you from someone who makes excuses to someone
00:18:18.140 who can then use those excuses to actually get better. Because dude, if you can use the excuses
00:18:23.500 and the justifications that your brain comes up with to actually improve, you have a competitive
00:18:29.520 advantage over everybody else because everybody else hears that shit and they're powerless to it.

00:19:10.020 to do the work. Yeah. Right. Like it's not the work that's that bad. It's the, it's the thinking
00:19:16.060 and the overanalyzing and the, and, and the knowing. And then like, once you take those first two or
00:19:21.720 three steps towards that, that all goes away. That's, I'm so glad you said that because my
00:19:25.440 very worst day, I still had two workouts to do at like nine o'clock. And I literally, my husband was
00:19:31.860 like, you need to get out there and get it done. You're going to be up so late. I'm like, I know it's
00:19:35.740 like when outside, I was like, you know, crying, sniffling, patting so hard. And I actually made
00:19:41.220 a video that day and I look back at it now. I'm like, what is, what is this? Like, yeah,
00:19:47.320 but dude, how proud were you at the end of that day? So proud. And I looking back now that those 45
00:19:53.400 minutes that I hated so bad, then I don't even think about them now. It's not going to ruin your
00:19:59.260 life. It's not going to kill you. Like those 45 minutes are going to pass whether you're working

00:20:44.200 all day, speak and teach all day, do dinner, do the whole thing, dude. And that shit, like for those

00:20:53.940 you can do because there's a period of preparation. There's a period of, uh, of emotional energy

00:21:05.380 going to teach. I don't care how good you are. Um, it's just part of the deal. And so when you get
00:21:08.840 done, you know, I think I spoke twice that day for maybe an hour and a half each time. And, uh,
00:21:15.020 bro, I was fucking exhausted. And I remember I got home and it was like one o'clock in the morning
00:21:20.060 and I'm like, fuck, I still gotta do my cardio. And I, I took my bike. I had a, uh, upright bike.
00:21:27.020 I pulled it out in the driveway and it's like two o'clock in the morning, dude. And I live in an
00:21:30.920 at this, I lived, it was not at my new, the house I'm living at now, but at my last house,
