00:00:41.560 youtube and under the q and af episodes after you click subscribe of course you could drop a comment

00:00:47.220 in there and ask a question we'll pick some from there as well uh other times if this is your first

00:00:52.300 time listening we have multiple shows within the show other shows that you will get to have your

00:00:58.800 eardrums blessed with if you keep listening will be cti cti is cruise the internet that's our current

00:01:06.260 event show that's where we talk about what's going on in the world we break down some headlines that

00:01:10.520 are uh trending we talk about what may be true what may not be true we speculate and we talk about

00:01:16.320 how we can all become the solution the problems going on in the world then we have real talk 0.85

00:01:22.220 real talk is five to 20 minutes of just shit that i think you need to hear and know about 0.88

00:01:26.720 um that's what it is and then we have full length full length is uh like what you see on most other 0.96

00:01:32.320 podcasts where we have a guest or two possibly and we sit in on the show and we have a conversation

00:01:37.640 and then sometimes we have 75 hard verses i got a good 75 hard verses episode coming up for you guys

00:01:43.060 soon uh that's for those of you that don't know i am the creator of 75 hard and the live hard program

00:01:48.460 and um i like to bring people on who've changed their lives and tell their stories so sometimes

00:01:53.960 we do that as well and i got a good one coming up for that so that's the basis of the show and

00:01:58.400 then we have what's called the fee all right the fee means share the show i give you a lot of

00:02:03.540 information on this show that i've gathered over my 24 years being an entrepreneur i'm fairly successful 0.77

00:02:07.980 entrepreneur uh and that's being humble about it okay i share a lot of valuable shit on this show 0.76

00:02:13.260 for free for you young bucks that are trying to build something out of your life and all i ask 0.85

00:02:17.420 in return is that you share the show so when i say please pay the fee that means share the show

00:02:22.400 it's important that you share the show because a lot of you guys get aggravated with what's going 0.97

00:02:26.580 on in the world and you get frustrated you say fuck andy everybody should be listening to your show well 0.92

00:02:30.240 look that's in your hands that's why we ask you to share the show i don't run ads for the show i 0.98

00:02:35.360 don't run ads on the show i simply ask that you share the show it's that simple so that's the

00:02:41.480 rundown man did i forget anything i think that's it yeah the q and a f questions can be about

00:02:46.600 anything but this is a business entrepreneurship podcast at heart and the reason that we talk about

00:02:52.540 business and entrepreneurship as the focus but also current events is because for you to be

00:02:57.880 successful in business you have to have freedom you have to have low taxes you can't be oppressed

00:03:02.760 otherwise we can't be successful so we have to keep an eye on our environment our business

00:03:07.820 environment and make sure that soil that we're planting our seeds in is fertile and will help

00:03:12.020 us grow the life that we're trying to grow so we talk about both here so i don't want to hear none 0.83

00:03:16.000 of your bullshit about what do you cover current events or why do you just stick to personal 0.99

00:03:20.640 development fuck bro it's different shows you can choose which one you want to listen to holy shit 1.00

00:03:24.980 yeah all right it's that simple yeah all right fuck now you know the interesting thing about you 1.00

00:03:32.060 know the the analogy with fertile soil man it's like even with all like i have to remind myself 0.99

00:03:38.960 you know with all the crazy shit going on this is still one of the best countries that have ever 0.92

00:03:44.320 existed yeah absolutely and i think that even despite all the crazy shit the soil here in this 0.98

00:03:50.820 country is still fertile enough to build some shit which is why these episodes are so fucking crucial 0.97

00:03:55.300 because it's like yeah we got to cover the the crazy shit but you guys should still be trying to 0.99

00:03:59.440 build and still trying to fucking grow shit because the for the soil is still there it is there but it 0.99

00:04:04.640 could be a lot better you know it has to be better yeah we're we're suffering in this country 0.99

00:04:10.200 from an embarrassment of riches okay it's been so easy to be successful and you might be sitting there 0.97

00:04:17.100 saying what the fuck are you talking about it's been so easy to be successful over the history of 0.98

00:04:22.880 this country if you just put in work put in effort stay the course don't quit the basic shit right 0.99

00:04:28.260 and over the course of the last 246 years our freedoms have been slowly eroded little by little by little by 0.89

00:04:38.340 little when now we live in a business environment where they have us pinned to where we're paying the

00:04:44.500 exact amount of tax that you can handle to pay as a business owner an entrepreneur an operator

00:04:50.900 that will allow you to profit but also make it extremely hard and it's intentionally set at that

00:04:58.740 point and if it goes further than that it's going to be almost impossible for you guys who are coming up

00:05:05.040 to really execute and build what you're trying to build and so that's why it's important that you get

00:05:11.080 engaged in the conversation that's why it's important that you find some courage that's why

00:05:14.980 it's important that you stand up for what you think is right and stop sitting there thinking

00:05:19.020 that someone else is going to work it out for you because nobody's coming dude it's us we're the

00:05:23.440 solution to this and the solution is going to be you going out giving it everything you have living at

00:05:29.000 a much higher standard and representing that saying the personal excellence is the ultimate rebellion

00:05:34.060 okay standing up uh showing people what it looks like to win showing people what it looks like to

00:05:39.600 have high standards and those people start to see that when you and they start to emulate that that's

00:05:43.920 how culture changes so if culture changes politics have to change because politics is downstream from

00:05:50.820 culture and if culture starts demanding politicians that will go in and give us a 10 tax like they should

00:05:57.620 okay because it should be spent properly and not embezzled or funneled or put to special interests

00:06:04.240 if that if we actually started demanding that they would have to do that and that's how this game

00:06:09.280 works so the culture is the most important part and that culture starts with you a lot of you guys try

00:06:13.180 to opt out say what can i do well you can actually do a lot it's just you're trying to defer out of the

00:06:18.960 responsibility because you feel like you know that's going to be hard and guess what it is hard

00:06:24.280 so anyway that's my little speech yeah i like it yeah all right so what else what we got guess what

00:06:31.760 i bet you got some good ones for me how'd you know just a good guess let's knock these out man let's

00:06:37.700 get right into it andy question number one andy i own my own outdoor cleaning and landscaping business

00:06:44.580 i've been doing it for about seven years now and i'm doing very well but i'm at the point where i am

00:06:50.800 turning down work because i am getting uh so busy i just can't handle more i'm afraid to hire my first

00:06:57.800 employee because i just don't know how to hire somebody that i trust i feel like i can only trust

00:07:04.200 them if i'm watching over their shoulder the entire time my customers are used to seeing my face and me

00:07:09.540 doing the job so i feel like i would just lose business if i told them that i was sending someone

00:07:13.680 else to do it i want to grow and expand but i don't feel like i can do it on my own any advice

00:07:19.000 and help would be appreciated so when i started in business in 1999 we started with twelve thousand

00:07:27.420 dollars okay we had one retail store it was me and my business partner chris and it took us six

00:07:35.640 years to open our second store and the reason it took us six years to open our second store is because

00:07:40.440 we couldn't comprehend actually trusting someone to go run another store for us and because we

00:07:48.760 couldn't comprehend it and we couldn't come to terms with it like you you've spent seven years

00:07:53.340 we spent six years basically standing on the brakes of our progress all right so those six years in

00:08:00.380 business that first six years are six years that i really regret now that i'm 24 years in and i believe

00:08:06.200 that had i understood that you will be able to hire people and scale people and people are generally

00:08:13.940 trustworthy and want to do a good job and want to win and want to contribute had i understood that at

00:08:20.820 that time i would have been where i am now probably four to five years earlier in my life okay so

00:08:27.940 you need to understand that if you don't come to terms with reality that

00:08:34.380 people will do what you ask them to do if you learn to lead them properly and delegate properly

00:08:41.960 and hold standards properly they will not only do what you ask them to do when you get good at it

00:08:48.480 some of them will do even a better job than you would do all right so so you have to come to terms

00:08:53.160 with your own false belief about other people and i understand this because it was the same for me

00:08:58.420 and out of all i get asked often out of all the things i've done people ask they say well what's

00:09:05.220 your biggest regret one of my biggest regrets was not learning that lesson faster all right so my

00:09:11.840 advice to you now if you want to stay how you are and you want to continue to do all the work yourself

00:09:17.720 and you want to have a moderately successful landscape business by all means continue to do

00:09:23.320 it but if your goal is to grow it into this machine a massive company that actually does things

00:09:28.160 lots of other people have done this brother like you're not the first one that's ever done this you

00:09:32.720 need to like kind of humble your your your situation okay you're not in this unique situation you just

00:09:38.960 think you are because it's unique for you so the first thing that you have to realize is like you

00:09:43.260 look around at all these other landscape companies and you say well how did they do it well if

00:09:46.980 they did it i can do it that's the first realization that you need to come to the second one is you

00:09:52.060 need to start pouring into your skill set around leadership management and understanding how to

00:09:57.820 create culture inside your own business that way you could scale out labor assets which will help

00:10:03.180 scale your business and so that's my first piece of advice uh and and honestly it's probably my

00:10:09.500 my only piece of advice on this question is you need to get over this limiting thought process

00:10:13.260 otherwise you're going to work yourself to death and you'll never become what it is that you want

00:10:18.140 to become that's just reality real results take team effort no one can do it on their own there's

00:10:24.960 only so much an operator owner can do on their own you need people and because you need people you need

00:10:31.580 to become skilled at dealing with people and this is a whole nother skill set the two hardest skill

00:10:36.740 sets to learn in business are how to sell and how to manage but if you learn how to sell which you're

00:10:42.180 already understanding how to sell because you've been doing this for seven years and you're so busy

00:10:46.060 you can't take any more now you need to learn how to manage and that's a whole different skill set so

00:10:52.580 i would pour your brain into people who are their content is leadership driven uh jocko is a great

00:11:00.760 person for that he has a couple books on this uh that's a great place to start but there's tons of

00:11:05.760 books there's tons of youtube on how to lead the rta syndicate is a great place to learn on how to do

00:11:10.640 these things actually what we cover in the rta syndicate most months has a lot to do with how

00:11:16.760 to manage people and how to manage a team and how to get results out of your team um and that's where

00:11:21.420 you get that's kind of value you get in there you get the actual operator's perspective of how to

00:11:25.800 handle real life situations uh not just tactical points that you know you don't really understand

00:11:31.520 the context so i would consider maybe investing in something like that um it's not a pitch if you

00:11:38.720 you know like i mean i guarantee you dude that group will accelerate your success there's just

00:11:44.640 no fucking doubt about it um you don't want to be in it don't be in it cool with me too i don't 0.95

00:11:50.460 really give a shit but uh that that's kind of how i see the situation yeah let me ask you this 0.99

00:11:55.880 because because it's almost i feel like i'm getting like a little bit of like a mother goose mentality 0.98

00:12:01.060 when it comes to to this question i don't know if this is something you find common a lot of other

00:12:06.440 entrepreneurs where they get so attached to the business as if like that's my baby yeah for sure

00:12:12.560 right like does that could i mean how do you look at that is that a good is that a good mentality to

00:12:17.460 have or does it fuck you up in the long run no i think it fucks you up in the long run i think when 0.95

00:12:21.140 you become too emotionally attached to your business it stops you you start making decisions based around

00:12:25.660 emotion that can actually be harmful to your business so i think it's important that you stay

00:12:30.440 enough detached where you make the right business decisions um but also enough connected where you still

00:12:35.580 really care and there's a balance point there because there's a lot of people who decide to

00:12:39.400 be hands-off in their business and you know they don't care anymore so they're guess what happens

00:12:44.500 to their employees their employees don't care standard slips performance slips business slips and then 0.99

00:12:49.440 they're like fuck i don't understand why well it's because you went to the lake for the last two years 0.98

00:12:53.940 on thursday and didn't come back till tuesday right you know and people don't want to work for someone 0.99

00:12:58.220 like that they want to work for someone who's driven who's dedicated to expanding the business so that

00:13:02.120 these people can build careers of their own inside that business and when you the minute they sniff

00:13:07.340 that you're no longer going to do that why would they stay they shouldn't stay why would you stay in

00:13:12.980 a stagnant company you shouldn't do that and i'm talking to anybody you should only be in places where

00:13:18.740 you could progress your own career and that has to do with the overall direction of the company 0.98

00:13:22.340 if the company says hey we're fine where we are employees here well fuck i can't grow even though 0.87

00:13:29.200 they probably still can right but it's far more limited whenever you don't have an aggressive 0.92

00:13:33.480 growth company and so and i will say this a lot of you guys are skilled a lot of you guys are

00:13:38.840 considering career changes now because you're in corporate america and you have these skills 0.97

00:13:42.760 and you're tired of uh dealing with the political bullshit that they shove down your throat and and 0.99

00:13:49.200 all this you know far left crazy fucking culture shit that they're jamming down because of diversity 1.00

00:13:55.560 inclusion uh you know uh the the green the green shit what do they call that stuff again 1.00

00:14:01.740 uh the oh esg shit the esg shit yeah like that you guys are all tired of that well you know what 0.99

00:14:07.480 there's a whole bunch of us out here that are building like the new generation of big companies 1.00

00:14:11.220 i'm one of them so like if you're a skilled motherfucker like that can actually show me that 0.99

00:14:15.080 you actually did real shit maybe think about applying to us because i'm scaling the fuck out of my 0.99

00:14:19.520 shit you know what i mean i'm just saying and i'm not the only one there's a whole bunch of 1.00

00:14:22.560 people out here doing it pro america pro freedom no bullshit trying to win companies that's what 0.99

00:14:28.040 we represent so um maybe you should think about that just throwing that in there yeah because

00:14:34.640 we're looking not at i'm yeah it's not an ad i'm just being real you know but you bet you better be

00:14:39.480 able to prove that you can do what you say you can do yeah no bullshitters no first-time jobbers 0.98

00:14:44.400 no i think this is going to be so cool to work at work at fucking one p bro this is fucking hard 0.99

00:14:49.740 here we work hard say fucking willy wonka's chocolate fucking factory that i actually love 0.98

00:14:55.900 that because it goes right into our second question uh talking about employees with skills so uh andy 0.99

00:15:00.980 question number two uh andy i have a new influx of younger employees and colleagues many are very well

00:15:07.640 educated in theory but don't necessarily have the real world application and experience i'm finding

00:15:16.580 that these people will typically have some big chips on their shoulder with their one hundred

00:15:21.240 thousand dollar piece of paper versus me who's been in the real world application for 10 years

00:15:26.340 with no fancy piece of paper have you run into these people and if so what advice do you have on

00:15:32.080 working with them effectively to run the play yeah i've run into those people sometimes i let them sit 1.00

00:15:36.860 in my cars yeah i went to high school bro you know i'm saying that real world shit that's the shit 1.00

00:15:48.580 no one gives a fuck about your degree unless you're a fucking doctor or a fucking engineer or a lawyer or 1.00

00:15:54.440 something that requires specialized knowledge formal education no one gives a fuck and so you guys 1.00

00:15:59.920 will walk around flexing your peacock out because you think the fucking you know you're cool because 0.99

00:16:04.080 you got a degree just know we laugh at you we laugh at you we think it's fun like when i say hey sit in 1.00

00:16:10.000 my car i'm smiling on the inside okay so i'm just being real i fucking hate people like that i don't 0.99

00:16:16.300 give a fuck what your education is do you work hard can you learn can you not repeat the same mistakes do 1.00

00:16:21.620 you have the inability to quit okay those things matter your fucking degree does not matter i don't give a 1.00

00:16:28.680 fuck and yeah you do deal with a lot of those people because people academics think that they're 0.99

00:16:33.580 super fucking smart this actually is the reason our whole society is in the place that it is right 1.00

00:16:39.120 now is because we have a bunch of academics who've never done a fucking thing in the world who are 0.99

00:16:43.600 trying to make rules and policy about shit that they never had to live with never experienced they 1.00

00:16:48.120 don't know anything about but they know better than you because they got this fucking degree and 1.00

00:16:52.520 that egotistical shit is what's ruining our country right now so yeah i have dealt with those people 0.99

00:16:57.920 no i don't like dealing with those people yes they're annoying to me and you know they're around 1.00

00:17:03.860 like what was the question i mean is there a way to retrain that like how do you work i mean is there 0.93

00:17:08.740 a way to work with that is there how do you communicate bro if someone's ego is fucked up about 0.86

00:17:13.640 what they've already done it's very hard to get that out of them unless they determine that it's an

00:17:19.540 actual problem so you could point that out to them but it's likely because they built their whole

00:17:25.060 identity around this piece of paper bro we all know these people 1.00

00:17:27.920 i went to fucking harvard i went to here i went to yeah you're still dumb as fuck motherfucker 1.00

00:17:32.920 like what's the results you produce it doesn't matter because look at this that's the attitude 1.00

00:17:37.120 they have i know dude look it's like doctors all right let's be real doctors you guys are the most 0.99

00:17:43.140 annoying fucking humans on the planet i'm just being real let me tell you why because you think 0.99

00:17:47.500 you fucking know everything about everything because you went to fucking medical school okay i intentionally 1.00

00:17:52.680 when i go to the fucking doctor's office or the fucking hospital i park in the doctor's 1.00

00:17:56.780 parking with my nice ass car intentionally because it's nicer than all of their cars and 1.00

00:18:01.600 they have to fucking look at it and not say shit knowing that it's a patient's car okay i do it on 1.00

00:18:06.620 purpose okay you guys are fucking dickheads you go around look dude i'm just being real i get it 1.00

00:18:12.140 i get it am i telling no this is real shit am i lying no it's real shit do they not know everything 1.00

00:18:17.180 about fucking everything it's real shit oh i went to fucking this ivy league school to be this and 1.00

00:18:21.340 this and this i know everything about this i know everything about business i know everything about 1.00

00:18:24.460 politics i know everything about the fucking everything except they can't even change your 0.99

00:18:28.460 fucking tire right you know what i'm saying like dude let's be real and if someone has that 0.99

00:18:33.460 big of an ego attached to an event in their hit in their past you're you're very unlikely to break 1.00

00:18:38.140 that without like some serious reality slapping them in the fucking face okay so i don't know how 0.99

00:18:47.100 to fucking deal with those people how many people in here have a degree i don't even fucking know 0.99

00:18:50.620 i couldn't even tell you i know there's some people that do i know there's some people that 0.99

00:18:54.440 have big degrees in here but like i don't pay them a dollar more because of that i don't give a 0.80

00:18:59.020 shit and nobody else does either because the entire world has figured out that upper upper 0.95

00:19:04.620 fucking education or higher education is not higher education it's higher indoctrination 1.00

00:19:09.020 and everybody knows it okay so your fucking two hundred thousand dollar degree that you think is 1.00

00:19:15.540 makes you better than everybody doesn't make you shit it makes you actually dumber than everybody 1.00

00:19:19.220 because you think you know everything and when you think you know everything guess what you can't do 0.99

00:19:22.960 you can't learn new shit because you already know it and that's the problem with a lot of these people 0.98

00:19:27.420 they identify their fucking biggest accomplishment graduating college and here's the thing 0.99

00:19:33.740 do you not think that society intentionally crafts the narrative that graduating college is the 0.99

00:19:41.700 biggest fucking event of your entire life there's no doubt they intentionally do that bro because they 1.00

00:19:46.460 want you to aspire to be indoctrinated through their fucking systems i i eat that fuck i drink that 1.00

00:19:52.760 kool-aid bro listen we're supposed to yeah like everybody out there is like dude look i got so much 1.00

00:19:59.000 shit because i fucking wouldn't take college seriously like bro i was in an entrepreneur class 1.00

00:20:04.880 with a fucking dude teach entrepreneurship who was driving some fucking yugo fuck rusted out piece of 1.00

00:20:10.700 shit learning business right baller shit right right like dude look man formal education if you're a young 1.00

00:20:19.980 person right now is fucking worthless it's going to continue to get more and more worthless unless you're 1.00

00:20:25.480 going to go be an engineer or you're going to go be something that's very specialized if you're going 1.00

00:20:30.120 for business or fucking arts or dude do not fucking do it because the whole play is to get you chained 0.99

00:20:36.000 up to debt so that you have to go out and pay that shit back that's what nobody talks about it's the 0.99

00:20:41.680 truth there's an 18 year old here go 200 000 worth of debt you'll deal with yeah but they won't give 0.98

00:20:46.040 you 200 000 start a fucking business will they right right makes sense you see what i'm saying so the 0.99

00:20:51.380 whole fucking college education system is a fucking scam i don't care what any of you guys think and 1.00

00:20:56.400 if you're fucking gonna argue with me about it's probably because you have some overpriced degree 1.00

00:20:59.440 they ain't got shit so i don't know what to fucking tell y'all man you got fucking played yeah the real 0.99

00:21:07.840 world rewards real work with real results yeah that's the way it works okay so this young man or 1.00

00:21:14.600 woman whoever this is i don't know which the fact that you don't have that shit don't let that shit hold 0.99

00:21:19.340 you back one minute these people are actually held back by this belief that they already know 1.00

00:21:23.440 shit you know you don't know shit because you don't have nothing that tells you you know shit 0.99

00:21:26.620 you know what i have it tells me i know shit i don't know let's look around i know a couple things 1.00

00:21:31.620 yeah couple hundred thousand square feet that's right i got i got i got 200 000 square feet right 0.99

00:21:35.580 here i got another 200 over there i got 180 over there i got a big motherfucking house six miles down 1.00

00:21:41.300 the road with a fucking car garage it looks like fucking the garage mahal okay so like motherfucker 1.00

00:21:47.220 i got real world evidence that i know a couple things all right but you know what i also know 1.00

00:21:52.280 i know that there's a lot more i don't know and because i fucking know that and i'm aware of that 0.97

00:21:57.640 i re i retain the capability to learn and improve and when you graduate from fucking yale and you think 0.99

00:22:06.580 you're the smartest motherfucker in your whole community because you went to fucking yale you do not 0.99

00:22:11.040 have the capacity to learn new shit bro and it actually holds these people back so like you know 1.00

00:22:17.200 i don't know how to break these motherfuckers maybe they'll listen to my show and be like fuck that's me 1.00

00:22:21.580 but likely not they're likely going to get in the comments and they're going to argue with me and tell 1.00

00:22:25.480 me why i'm fucking stupid while they're broke you're actually in the yield yeah right yeah look man real 0.95

00:22:31.720 world real work real results that is it it doesn't matter okay so like you're going to learn all 0.99

00:22:38.140 think of a job think of any job i could study online how to make the fucking french fries at 0.98

00:22:44.800 mcdonald's i can probably find some youtube videos on it all that shit how am i going to actually learn 0.99

00:22:50.200 how to do it do it doing it okay i could talk i can read about trying a trial in court all right 0.94

00:22:58.240 how am i going to get good at it trying doing it all right practicing it's all about reps dude 0.95

00:23:04.960 and this fucking fake ass piece of paper over here that says uh you're a good little student 0.99

00:23:10.140 over here and you you know you absorb all of our indoctrination at a highest level so you know we 0.99

00:23:15.080 even paid you to get indoctrinated some of you guys that little piece of paper holds more people back 0.93

00:23:20.820 than fucking anything else because they think once they get it they got it made they stop learning they 0.96

00:23:25.860 stop getting better they stop reading they stop improving and that's that's an advantage for people 0.99

00:23:30.800 that are very aware that they're they're kind of lucky like you know i'm saying like i look around 0.99

00:23:35.580 and i'm like fuck all right this ain't too bad for a dumb fuck you know what i'm saying like so and 0.99

00:23:40.700 like dude me and hardwick have this conversation all the time ryan hardwick he's one of the most 0.99

00:23:44.100 successful guys i fucking know drives our race car for our race team same age as me started his 0.98

00:23:48.800 business the same year built the same shit we say the joke is not too bad for a couple rednecks 1.00

00:23:54.320 you know i'm saying because all along bro i had people telling me when i started my business and 0.99

00:23:58.660 some people i was really good friends with you need to finish your degree you need to get you

00:24:02.920 need to take your school serious no one's going to take you serious listen if i have to if i have 0.99

00:24:08.540 to have a degree to have these motherfuckers take me serious i don't really give a fuck about them 1.00

00:24:12.260 taking me serious right i just buy their fucking house you see what i'm saying i'm just telling the 1.00

00:24:19.180 truth i love it i'm just telling the truth yeah so go out fucking win and you won't give a fuck if 1.00

00:24:26.860 you have a degree or not whenever you fucking have the life that you built and those motherfuckers 1.00

00:24:30.560 will still be talking about their yale degree and you'll be saying yeah well cool yeah no one cares 1.00

00:24:35.880 i love that man dude you can learn so much more about being successful from fucking shows like this 0.98

00:24:41.700 and people who have actually done it bro you could go join rt syndicate for fucking it was it for 300 0.98

00:24:48.080 bucks or 400 bucks a month or some shit right and you're learning from real people who've done real 0.97

00:24:52.720 things in a community of people doing real things you can't get that at college at college costs you

00:24:56.900 hundreds of thousands of dollars and i'm not the only program like that there's other programs out 0.98

00:25:01.640 there for fucking you know for free bro look at the fucking podcast that you guys have access to 0.99

00:25:08.140 bro i'm telling you right now bro there's not a fucking single instructor in the fucking entire 0.99

00:25:13.100 fucking college atmosphere that could teach more about business than guys like me at my letter 1.00

00:25:17.680 hermosi and shit like that there's not a single motherfucker i'll fucking run circles around all 1.00

00:25:22.220 every fucking one of them all of them at the same time and so will them other guys okay you're 1.00

00:25:26.740 learning for free from these motherfuckers you don't need that two hundred thousand dollar debt 1.00

00:25:31.320 bro in business and entrepreneurship you need to listen to motherfuckers who've actually done it 1.00

00:25:34.860 observe them role model them and fucking copy what works and go win i love it i love it guys 0.98

00:25:42.280 do you love that andy university that's what it sounds like what we need yeah well andy university 0.99

00:25:46.500 fucking winner's circle bitch guys andy our third and final question andy question number three 1.00

00:25:52.140 andy it feels like today's world is all about consuming information in bites and constantly 0.99

00:25:58.760 switching context from one topic to the next youtube short videos instagram stories scrolling etc

00:26:05.060 our brains are beginning to or most likely have been trained to only be able to focus on a simple

00:26:11.900 topic for a very short period of time likely because they want us unfocused and distracted

00:26:17.180 i find myself bored easily andy how can we reprogram our minds to focus on a given task for longer

00:26:24.640 periods of time okay so at 30 years old i started learning guitar all right and anybody who's played

00:26:34.500 guitar understands that it's much easier to learn guitar when you're like four years old okay right so

00:26:40.140 starting guitar at 30 years old is incredibly difficult for me so i had to hire an instructor

00:26:44.440 i couldn't i i couldn't do it on online um and and i just i wanted someone there with me so i hired

00:26:50.740 this guy his name was matthew and i used to get incredibly frustrated because dude like i like to

00:26:57.820 win now i don't want to win six years from now you know what i mean and he used to say to me he'd be

00:27:05.020 like andy you're getting so frustrated dude you need to really work on your patience you don't have any

00:27:08.840 patience i'm like yeah i know it's not just this bro it's everywhere and he would say you know you

00:27:15.020 know how you how you get patience by doing things that require patience and focus is no different

00:27:22.540 nor is any other skill how do you get disciplined by doing things that require discipline how do you

00:27:27.640 get more focused by doing things that require focus so what are you having trouble focusing on

00:27:32.680 and then force yourself through that process reading is a tremendous way to reignite your

00:27:39.120 focus skill okay i want you to think about it like this you're playing a video game right madden football

00:27:45.580 and you have speed 99 strength 82 uh agility 97 right there's all these different ratings and and think of 0.97

00:27:56.140 that as your own life discipline what's your skill level i want to 100 is it is it 90 is it fucking 50 0.97

00:28:02.100 can you get through a cheat can you get through a week of diet without cheating so is it a 30 like 0.87

00:28:07.520 where are you we should always be evaluating where we are what's my focus your focus right now you're

00:28:12.560 recognizing because you're aware that your focus is a little bit lower than what it should be so you're 0.98

00:28:17.380 you're way ahead of everybody else because nobody else is even thinking like fuck dude my focus is 0.98

00:28:21.280 getting fucked up which this is a great point by the way because it's true so you have to find things 0.99

00:28:26.340 that require your focus and on on whatever it is you're doing and and ironically enough learning how 0.97

00:28:31.740 to play guitar is actually a great way to hone your focus as well because if you've never done it before

00:28:35.700 it takes a tremendous amount of focus um but reading is a great way to do that to hone your focus but also

00:28:42.740 take new things in right so for me i'm not a very good reader and it's often that i can read a whole page

00:28:50.660 and kind of be somewhere else right and then read the page and be like what did i read all right

00:28:56.360 and then if i go back and i actually focus i find that i have almost a photographic memory where i can

00:29:04.460 remember exactly the fucking what was said like word for word but my focus has to be turned on to 0.86

00:29:10.940 reading it so i read very slow i concentrate and i really try to embed what is being communicated to me 0.94

00:29:17.320 through the reading another thing that you can do too is read old books okay so older books that are

00:29:24.260 from like you know like say napoleon hill or dale carnegie things were written nearly a hundred years

00:29:29.000 ago about personal developments or anything right maybe political books whatever you want to read

00:29:34.500 read older things because they're written in a more formal language and you actually have to focus 0.88

00:29:40.240 and comprehend more than you can reading like you know today's way of speaking which is garbage right 0.52

00:29:46.160 i don't contribute to that at all you know uh but let's be real um when you read old things you have

00:29:53.460 to focus more to really understand what's being said so that's something that really helps as well

00:29:57.560 eric gritens actually is the one that taught me that oh that helps a lot um but generally man

00:30:03.380 whatever it is whether it be your focus whether it be your discipline whether it be your fortitude or

00:30:07.840 your grit or or whatever the way that you up these things is by doing things that requires those

00:30:13.700 things so what is it in your life that you have trouble focusing with right when was the last time

00:30:21.060 you were able to put your phone down and watch a movie from beginning to end right right this is a

00:30:28.500 real question like what what this person is saying in the question is a real issue for people you know

00:30:33.580 these small little 30 second 15 second one minute clips i mean we all understand there's value there

00:30:40.580 right but it does affect our ability to think comprehend and process information in long form

00:30:46.480 and so you have to work on that because that is a skill and what's great to think about is that

00:30:52.360 because it's becoming more and more of a problem if you actually have the skill set to actually read

00:30:57.880 and comprehend and take in information think of the amount uh the sizable advantage that you have over

00:31:04.180 everybody else right that isn't even recognizing that they're focused that they become like

00:31:08.820 little squirrels that are just focused on the next thing the next thing the next thing so if you could

00:31:13.620 actually work this into your real skill and by the way uh i would consider doing 75 hard and live hard

00:31:18.760 program that is a great program for all of these skills including focus um because it forces you to

00:31:26.960 do things every single day that require you to make deposits into these skill sets you can learn about

00:31:32.640 it it's free they don't charge for it go listen to episode 208 it'll explain the whole program to you

00:31:38.420 um but that's a program that will really tune you up in all of these different ways and dude i can't

00:31:44.340 think of a better advantage to have than be highly tuned in your discipline your grit your focus your

00:31:49.900 mental fortitude your mental toughness your ability to persevere your self-confidence because now you're 0.99

00:31:55.180 doing shit these other motherfuckers just can't do right and you maintain that over the course of a 0.99

00:32:00.120 year with this program called live hard which is a year-long program it's not year-long straight 1.00

00:32:04.820 through it's 75 days which you guys know is 75 hard then three 30-day sessions phases throughout

00:32:12.420 the year that you use to tune up okay and when you process this program and you do it consistently

00:32:18.400 every year that's how it's designed to do complete it every single year you're always running at a

00:32:23.460 pretty high level like you don't get out of check because you're always tuning up all these skills

00:32:28.180 including your focus so that's something that i would recommend i recommend that to everybody for

00:32:33.060 anything um but just understand that the basis of this has to do with wherever you are weak you have

00:32:40.460 to put in work and when you put in that work and do the thing that requires the weak skill the skill

00:32:45.680 will get stronger and that's pretty much it i love that i want to follow up on that uh because i know

00:32:50.400 like we we've talked about the documentary uh the last dance with michael jordan right and one of the

00:32:55.700 concepts that he talks about just being present in the moment how much does how intentional are you

00:33:01.960 with uh just in your daily life when it comes to focus is just being present in that moment with

00:33:08.380 whatever specific task is there do you put a lot of attention in that yeah because i recognize it just

00:33:14.660 like this person does yeah i recognize it as a valuable skill that other people are losing and i want to get

00:33:20.460 better at it while they're losing it so absolutely i'm intentional about it because i have to be too bro

00:33:27.340 like like for me to read i don't read at a high level like um but i don't read fast i read very slow

00:33:35.680 but i can i can capture the reading forever you see what i'm saying like i can read a book 10 years

00:33:42.440 ago and i can fucking tell you the whole book but it's because i've trained myself to focus 0.86

00:33:46.960 now i could do what other people do and i can read fast and kind of not get the stuff and then i'm like 0.59

00:33:52.700 man what did i just do like what am i what you like kind of come out of the trance and you're like 0.79

00:33:56.400 fuck i'm seven page i have to go back and read them you have no idea right so so catching yourself 0.97

00:34:02.920 when you do these things and then correcting it is a big deal too but yeah absolutely dude i think 0.97

00:34:07.620 look the way i'm built i know a lot of you guys don't get this because like you know you probably

00:34:15.560 think like most people think that you know when people have become successful they can just chill

00:34:19.640 and everything but like i'm built to compete dude and like i want to be the best and i want i don't

00:34:24.940 want to be the best at like just one thing i just want to be the best and like i'm not under any

00:34:30.460 delusions that i'm the best at anything i know i'm not the best at fucking literally anything at 0.95

00:34:35.080 every single skill set that i have there are people better than me every single i'm not but i

00:34:40.600 aspire to be that and i work to be that so that i can become the best version of me and i take that

00:34:44.920 serious and i think that my track record speaks for itself if you've been following me for at least

00:34:49.600 the last four or five years i give everything i have to that every single day i think it's a

00:34:54.140 better way to live i feel better when i live at a high standard of constantly trying to improve

00:34:58.920 i feel fulfilled because when i go to bed at night i don't think man you know what i really

00:35:04.720 fucked this day away or i really i lost today or i didn't get you know i never have those thoughts 0.69

00:35:09.820 when i go to bed dude it's like yeah all right got all my shit done man did exactly what i wanted to do 0.98

00:35:15.420 and if you do that for long enough in your life it's impossible not to be successful

00:35:18.780 whatever it is you're trying to do most people just don't even live like that you know most people

00:35:23.400 figure out ways to get out of the work most people figure out ways to get through the day

00:35:28.080 so that they can you know get to their comfort place at home and then rest for a few hours and

00:35:34.440 then go do the same thing again and half ass and hide from the work do the minimum like the reason 1.00

00:35:40.160 you're upset and miserable is because you're not meant to live like that you're meant to live as 0.95

00:35:44.120 someone who creates someone who contributes someone who achieves someone who overcomes things

00:35:48.380 and you're denying yourself all of those things because you're buying in to the cool kids club 1.00

00:35:53.360 of a bunch of loser fucking friends that you have that think it's okay to be a fucking loser 0.99

00:35:57.560 you know so humans are meant to fucking do great things and so are you any of you any of anybody 1.00

00:36:04.420 listening and if you don't go out and try to attempt to do great things it should be 0.99

00:36:09.860 no surprise to you that you feel like shit yeah yeah i.e. mental health crisis in this 0.99

00:36:16.220 fucking country well that's even a bigger topic bro you know when you remove purpose from people's 1.00

00:36:21.980 lives right when you remove identity from people's lives when you make them feel like there's no hope 0.99

00:36:27.020 in their life they're a they're certainly going to have mental health issues right and if you look

00:36:33.120 at the way that they're raising these kids for the last decade fucking decade and a half two decades 0.98

00:36:37.780 maybe participation trophies okay that's a fucking lie you don't get rewarded in the real world for 0.99

00:36:45.500 participating at all in fucking anything okay so it's a complete lie all right that's one thing 0.99

00:36:52.360 where they fuck up what happens to the fucking 20 year old kid who gets out in the real world and 1.00

00:36:56.580 thinks that they should have their ass patted because they showed up to fucking work okay they get killed 1.00

00:37:02.760 it's a rude awakening yeah and they some never figured out and those are the people that are 1.00

00:37:06.780 constantly bitching about their fucking you know every job they have it's the fucking job no bro it's 0.99

00:37:12.380 you you see what i'm saying uh creating a situation of political correctness where people can't tell 1.00

00:37:18.940 the truth without fear of repercussions from society all right that makes people feel like they can't even

00:37:24.720 be individuals it's weird how we preach individuality but don't say this yeah yeah you see what i'm

00:37:31.220 saying right so like dude they've culturally trained an entire generation and a half of people

00:37:37.900 to not understand the reality of reality okay and when you put those people out in the real world when

00:37:48.500 they've been taught all of these things that are not true in reality they freak the fuck out and you 1.00

00:37:54.880 would too if you were taught that fucking bullshit like if you were taught your whole life that you're 1.00

00:37:58.900 special and you're you're gonna get rewarded for just existing and breathing air and you're gonna 1.00

00:38:04.200 show up to the work and in six months you're gonna be at the top because you know you're you if that's

00:38:10.820 what you believe dude you're you're set up for an entire destruction of your whole entire reality

00:38:17.420 framework and that's what they're doing to these people and when these people get super frustrated you 0.99

00:38:22.660 know what they do they turn into activists for the fucking free shit right this is this system's 1.00

00:38:29.020 broke capitalism is fucked up this and that and this and then they want to take everybody else's shit 1.00

00:38:34.260 because they were not equipped ever with the truth to actually how to achieve and function in reality 0.99

00:38:40.220 okay so there's way more to this like we could do a whole fucking show on this but the main thing is is that 0.90

00:38:47.120 most people have been lied to most young people have been lied to about how things actually work 0.99

00:38:54.580 and they need to unfuck themselves or they're gonna get their fucking ass beat the entire because dude 1.00

00:39:00.060 you can't bitch your way to a new reality right it doesn't matter if every single fucking 20 year old 1.00

00:39:07.260 kid or 16 year old kid or 25 year old kid right now fucking through a temper tantrum there is still 0.99

00:39:13.180 natural order at play nature is at play and do you know what nature says nature says it's survival of the 0.98

00:39:20.020 fittest nature says there's a hierarchy and there is a hierarchy in human reality as well and in business

00:39:26.260 and in life and these are things that you may not agree with but unfortunately it doesn't matter if you

00:39:32.500 agree with them or not they still they still are the way they are no different than gravity is what it is we can

00:39:37.900 argue gravity all fucking day long bro but if you and i walk up on the edge of the building 0.96

00:39:42.100 and you walk off the edge you're going to learn about gravity instantly right i'm a believer yeah 0.94

00:39:47.680 so and and it's going to be a painful lesson yeah and that's why these lessons are so painful that's

00:39:53.860 why also we have the biggest mental health health crisis among young people that's ever existed in

00:39:57.740 this country because they are having to learn lessons in the harshest possible way because of bad 0.93

00:40:04.740 fucking intentional strategy that was designed to create generate a generation and a half so far 0.97

00:40:13.080 of people who are unequipped to succeed in the real world so that they have to depend on the government 0.98

00:40:20.040 to survive and that's what this is all about that's why it's called indoctrination okay so this goes back 0.98
