00:00:00.000 What is up guys, it's Andy Purcell and this is the show for the real and say goodbye to the lies, the fakeness and delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality. 0.94
00:00:25.160 Guys, today I have a real talk, all right, and I'm just going to get right into it.
00:00:31.480 You know, I look all over the internet and I see all these people, young people especially, trying to be successful, trying to go out and build something, become something, create something and everybody seems like they're super confused.
00:00:45.500 And I want to give you guys a few points, four points, that I think will drastically improve the speed and the quality of your journey when it comes to becoming successful in whatever it is that you are.
00:00:59.520 Now, most of the people I'm talking to out here, we talk in terms of entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship.
00:01:05.620 But the reality is, is these principles apply to almost any area of life and it's something that you guys need to hear, all right?
00:01:12.040 So here's the deal, the first thing you have to understand is that we live in a society where success is villainized, winning is villainized, becoming something greater than everybody else is villainized, all right?
00:01:28.820 That's reality.
00:01:29.820 It is far easier for people to sit around and do nothing, be nothing, become nothing, and create nothing, and criticize every single other person on the planet that's doing anything outside of that than it is to actually go out and build it.
00:01:44.160 It takes time to go out and build things.
00:01:46.160 It takes effort.
00:01:47.220 It takes literal blood, sweat, and tears.
00:01:51.240 It is real.
00:01:52.440 You have to give up things that other people get to do.
00:01:54.700 You have to sacrifice your time, which is really an investment because there is a return on it.
00:02:00.640 And that's one of the biggest fallacies that we don't understand is that this is an investment and there will be a return.
00:02:07.280 There will never be a return for you if you buy in to the poverty propaganda.
00:02:13.320 Do not believe the poverty propaganda that is out there, okay?
00:02:18.380 What is poverty propaganda?
00:02:20.320 Poverty propaganda is this idea that you don't need any money, all right?
00:02:25.840 And that it's somehow humble or noble to be less than what you could be, to give up on your dreams and just be a poor little me and stay right where you are and do nothing, create nothing, contribute to nothing, build nothing.
00:02:41.240 And then you get to judge everybody else that's doing other things and say they're not humble.
00:02:45.440 Well, that's not how it actually works because to be humble, you have to actually be good.
00:02:51.100 Being humble because you haven't accomplished anything doesn't mean you're humble.
00:02:54.640 It means you're making a justification for your lack of results, all right?
00:02:59.140 So poverty propaganda is a big problem in culture right now.
00:03:03.280 It is glorified.
00:03:04.640 It is amplified.
00:03:05.940 It is something that is pushed out.
00:03:08.000 And when you understand what you are hearing and what you are looking at, it's much easier to ignore it and do the other thing, all right? 0.96
00:03:15.420 A lot of you guys, you look at your friends, you look at the people that you're surrounded with and they're out doing all these things and they're telling you that they're going to, you know, go live their life in the mountains and they're going to tour the world and they're going to do all this shit.
00:03:28.700 But here's the thing, guys, and that's okay to do those things. 0.56
00:03:31.800 If that's what you really want, go do those things.
00:03:33.600 But what I'm going to tell you here as an ambitious person is that if you buy into it at the expense of your actual, true, authentic self dreams and goals for what you actually want out of your life, you're going to regret it, all right?
00:03:47.360 Which leads me to my next point, okay?
00:03:50.120 You have two options here.
00:03:52.260 You can have a hard life with a result or you can have a hard life without a result.
00:03:57.220 But either way, life's going to be pretty hard, all right?
00:04:00.880 You can choose right now to become the kind of person that is going to invest all of their time, all of their resources, all of their energy into becoming the person that lives the ideal vision that you have for your life.
00:04:15.540 And it's going to be hard, really hard.
00:04:19.160 You're going to have to make investments that other people your age and your position are not going to be making.
00:04:25.040 And they're going to judge you and they're going to make fun of you and they're going to laugh at you.
00:04:29.000 And you're going to have to keep going because if you don't, you'll never realize that version of yourself.
00:04:34.620 But in the end, you get a reward.
00:04:38.080 You get to live a life that others can't.
00:04:40.300 You get to do things they can't.
00:04:42.200 You get to become things they won't.
00:04:43.820 You get to make impacts they don't.
00:04:46.940 Your entire existence will be a reward for the effort that you put in on the front end.
00:04:52.840 Or you can believe the poverty propaganda and you can go live your life, right? 0.94
00:04:59.780 And then in 20 years, you're going to be working at fucking Wendy's, not because you have a passion for it, but because you have to. 0.97
00:05:07.760 All right? 0.99
00:05:08.140 So you can choose.
00:05:09.700 Is it going to be painful now with a reward later or is it going to be fun now with pain later?
00:05:16.820 But those are the only two choices.
00:05:18.780 So if you buy into the idea of the poverty propagandists, you're going to be in the ladder of those groups.
00:05:26.520 You're going to be the person who has a great time now, who fucks their life away. 0.99
00:05:30.960 And then in 20 years, bro, you're going to be making fucking double-decker tacos at Taco Bell on the midnight shift, wondering what the fuck happened to your life, and then blaming everybody else for it. 0.99
00:05:40.480 No, you have the opportunity right now to change your life. 0.99
00:05:45.900 Are you going to change it or are you not going to change it?
00:05:49.560 Okay?
00:05:50.060 The third thing is this.
00:05:51.780 You have to stop overcomplicating it.
00:05:54.700 All right? 0.99
00:05:55.520 You guys look at this as if it's a fucking nuclear Rubik's Cube. 0.99
00:05:59.960 It is not that complicated. 0.98
00:06:01.260 And I know there's all these people out here trying to tell you all their secrets. 1.00
00:06:05.880 99% of these motherfuckers haven't done a fucking thing. 1.00
00:06:09.300 That's the truth. 1.00
00:06:10.500 And if you want a coach and you want someone who is actually going to help you, yes, they can save you years of your life.
00:06:17.640 But only if they have done what it is you're seeking to do.
00:06:22.480 If they have already been on the path, that's a great value.
00:06:25.260 That could save you years.
00:06:26.200 I could save young Andy 15 years off the journey by having his ear for a year right now. 0.97
00:06:32.980 But what I can't do is go listen to someone who's never fucking done it and get ahead at all. 0.94
00:06:38.300 All right? 0.97
00:06:38.600 So save yourself the time and energy and understand that if you're going to have someone help you, they better have fucking done what it is you're trying to do. 0.82
00:06:46.180 But here's the thing about everything. 0.89
00:06:49.140 Okay?
00:06:49.760 This all comes down to two basic simple concepts anyway.
00:06:53.820 No matter what anybody else says.
00:06:56.200 You can hear the best speech.
00:06:57.880 You can take the best program.
00:06:59.760 You can go to the 12-hour seminar and jump around and say, hey, I'm a different person. 0.96
00:07:04.880 It's always going to come down to the two fucking things that it comes down to for everybody. 0.75
00:07:10.180 One, you have to become the kind of person that can push through the hard times. 0.98
00:07:16.340 Most people can't do that.
00:07:18.080 Most people cannot push through the challenging, the draining, the frustrating times that make everybody else quit.
00:07:24.440 And every time you push through one of these barriers, you're leaving all of your competition behind and you're moving forward without that.
00:07:32.900 And most people can't do that. 0.81
00:07:34.540 So you have to build yourself into someone who has the discipline, the fortitude, the grit, the perseverance to push through the hard times, to become someone who is literally fucking incapable of quitting. 0.86
00:07:49.480 Okay? 0.92
00:07:49.960 That is the first thing you need to do.
00:07:52.200 That's why we talk about the Live Hard program.
00:07:54.480 That's why so many people live that lifestyle. 0.99
00:07:57.700 Because it builds you into someone who cannot fucking quit. 0.98
00:08:01.680 And it's important. 0.98
00:08:03.700 Okay?
00:08:03.900 And the second thing you got to have is you got to have just enough intelligence.
00:08:08.120 You got to know just enough that if you make a mistake, to not make it twice.
00:08:14.100 And if you make it twice, definitely don't make it three times.
00:08:16.880 If you're someone who makes the same mistake three times, over and over, you're going to lose.
00:08:21.600 Okay?
00:08:22.040 So you don't have to be a genius.
00:08:23.840 You don't have to be a Buddhist monk. 1.00
00:08:26.780 You don't have to fucking have any of these special superpowers that some of these motherfuckers claim to have. 1.00
00:08:32.700 All you got to do is be able to identify, okay, I messed that up. 1.00
00:08:37.740 What did I learn?
00:08:39.200 And then keep moving forward with point one, don't quit.
00:08:42.100 Because every time you make a mistake and you learn a lesson, that is a new skill.
00:08:46.980 And so when the situation arises again, you're able to recognize it.
00:08:51.320 You're like, oh, man.
00:08:52.900 You know what?
00:08:53.260 I've seen this before.
00:08:55.100 Okay, last time I did this, it didn't work out.
00:08:57.220 But now I'm going to do this.
00:08:58.880 And then you start to get ahead.
00:09:00.380 And every time you come up to a situation like that, based upon your previous experience, you're able to make better decisions than the people you're competing with who haven't been doing it as long.
00:09:10.840 So this is a tremendous practical advantage that you have over everybody else if you don't quit.
00:09:16.520 So not quitting and being able to learn from your mistakes and apply the skill set to the next situation that comes down the pipe is what success is all about.
00:09:27.800 We can do all the morning routines.
00:09:29.820 We can say all the affirmations. 1.00
00:09:31.460 We can attend every fucking seminar. 1.00
00:09:33.360 We can go to every single fucking group therapy set. 1.00
00:09:36.580 I don't fucking know. 0.99
00:09:37.460 We can do it all. 0.95
00:09:38.240 But if you don't do those two things, you can't win.
00:09:42.080 Okay?
00:09:42.460 That's what it comes down to.
00:09:43.920 And the last point is this.
00:09:46.320 Learn to think for yourself.
00:09:49.880 You have to become a student of the game.
00:09:53.560 You cannot just pretend.
00:09:55.540 You have to learn how to think.
00:09:57.520 If you do not learn how to think, you cannot play the game of success because there are too many people that know how to think playing the game of success.
00:10:06.100 And you can't copy either because if you copy, you're unoriginal. 0.97
00:10:11.240 If you're unoriginal, nobody gives a fuck. 0.92
00:10:14.820 All right? 0.99
00:10:15.240 So you have to understand.
00:10:17.160 If you're copying someone else, all you're going to be at the maximum level is a watered-down version of something that is already recognized as the best.
00:10:27.640 So you have to figure out who you are, what you stand for, and you have to have enough courage to live that in real life.
00:10:36.980 The reason no one cares what you say is because you never speak on anything that you actually care about.
00:10:44.340 This is most of your problems.
00:10:46.340 Most of your problems with your brand have to do with you analyzing everybody else's brand and then trying to be like someone else.
00:10:54.400 And what you're failing to realize, because you don't have the experience of understanding this, is that what you're seeing in someone else's company or brand or persona is actually the result of decisions that were made two, three, four years ago that have come to materialize themselves into what you see today.
00:11:14.980 So if that's the case, and you're looking at the result of ideas that are three or four years old, if you copy, you are automatically three or four years behind at every given point.
00:11:26.940 And the only way to defeat that is to learn to think for yourself, to become authentic, to stand for what you believe, to speak for the things that you care about, and be original.
00:11:38.460 This is the secret sauce that most of you can't grasp.
00:11:41.600 We have far too many people chasing relevance for the sake of relevance.
00:11:47.540 Chasing relevance for the sake of relevance is a guaranteed way to be irrelevant.
00:11:52.440 You have to have original ideas.
00:11:54.580 You have to have authenticity.
00:11:56.620 You have to say things that you care about so that people feel them when you speak about them.
00:12:02.960 You have to create things that make a difference. 0.99
00:12:05.180 It's not about you, it's about them, and it comes from you deciding who the fuck you actually are. 0.99
00:12:12.540 Stop chasing the likes. 1.00
00:12:14.400 Stop chasing the comments.
00:12:16.220 Stop trying to be like everybody else and start working on becoming the best possible you. 0.97
00:12:21.520 Because when you're the best possible authentic you, nobody can fucking copy it. 0.95
00:12:28.200 It's impossible. 0.86
00:12:29.280 It's the biggest strategic advantage you will ever have in your entire life.
00:12:34.320 I see it on the internet.
00:12:35.440 We see it every day.
00:12:36.540 We see all these people out here trying to become a social media personality. 1.00
00:12:40.460 They're saying the right shit. 0.99
00:12:42.260 They're doing the right things. 1.00
00:12:44.120 They're doing just what everybody else does, and that's the fucking problem. 0.99
00:12:48.080 It's already been done, and not only has it already been done, it's been done better than you can do it. 0.98
00:12:52.540 So what is it that you can do that anybody else can't do?
00:12:57.920 And you have to figure out what that is.
00:12:59.800 And that's going to take you thinking for yourself, deciding what it is you are, and becoming that in real life.
00:13:07.760 Okay?
00:13:08.120 You have to be authentic.
00:13:10.320 Authenticity is the superpower of brand building.
00:13:13.660 The reason people ignore you is because you're trying to be something that they've already seen elsewhere.
00:13:20.020 Okay?
00:13:20.660 Look out for this in the real world.
00:13:22.300 You'll see it everywhere now that I'm pointing it out.
00:13:24.740 Look at other people's personal brands.
00:13:26.540 Who are they trying to be?
00:13:28.240 Who are they pretending they are?
00:13:30.080 Where are they taking their influence? 0.82
00:13:32.340 It's very obvious if you look for it.
00:13:34.360 And none of those people actually win long term.
00:13:37.420 They might get a pop in the short term, but they don't get one in the long term.
00:13:41.200 So guys, if you're a young person and you're out here trying to be successful,
00:13:45.380 you're trying to build something, create something, become something,
00:13:48.680 these four points will serve you greatly.
00:13:51.540 All right?
00:13:52.920 Never believe poverty propaganda.
00:13:55.840 There are almost zero situations in life that are better with less money.
00:14:00.920 Point two.
00:14:02.700 You have two decisions.
00:14:04.140 You can have a hard life with the result, or you can have a hard life without the result.
00:14:09.420 But either way, it's going to be hard.
00:14:12.160 So decide what it is that you want and start working towards that.
00:14:16.600 Number three, stop overcomplicating it.
00:14:19.640 It's very simple.
00:14:21.340 Okay? 0.99
00:14:21.560 One, don't fucking quit and build yourself into someone who can't quit. 0.99
00:14:27.100 And two, learn from your mistakes fast. 0.99
00:14:30.640 Figure out where you mess up.
00:14:32.740 Take the lesson.
00:14:33.820 Apply the new skill to your little tool belt.
00:14:35.800 And the next time the situation comes around, be able to recognize where to apply it and
00:14:40.080 make the right decision.
00:14:41.480 And four, become authentic.
00:14:45.580 Do not copy.
00:14:47.720 Learn to think for yourself.
00:14:49.720 Otherwise, you will be ignored forever.
00:14:52.820 Yeah.
00:14:53.820 Went from sleeping on the floor.
00:14:55.920 Now my jewelry box froze. 1.00
00:14:57.620 Fuck a pole. 1.00
00:14:58.420 Fuck a stove. 1.00
00:14:59.280 Counted millions in the cold. 1.00
00:15:00.940 Bad bitch. 1.00
00:15:01.780 Booty swole. 1.00
00:15:02.600 Got her on bankroll.
00:15:04.240 Can't fold.
00:15:05.120 That's a no.
00:15:05.920 Headshot.
00:15:06.760 Case closed.
00:15:07.420 Close.
