00:00:00.000 What is up guys, it's Andy Purcell and this is the show for the realists, say goodbye
00:00:20.540 to the lies, the fakeness, delusions of modern society and welcome to motherfucking reality.
00:00:24.560 Guys, today we have Q and AF, that's where you submit the questions and we give you the
00:00:29.980 answers.
00:00:30.420 Now, if you want your questions answered on the show, you can submit them a couple different
00:00:34.860 ways.
00:00:35.320 The first way is, guys, email these questions in to askandy at andyfrasala.com or you go
00:00:41.020 on YouTube in the comment section and ask your questions there and we'll choose some
00:00:45.620 from there as well.
00:00:46.400 Only on the Q and AF episodes.
00:00:48.940 Other times you tune in, we're going to have shows within the show.
00:00:51.980 We're constantly growing, constantly getting new listeners, so I'm going to go through
00:00:55.000 this real quick.
00:00:56.200 We have CTI, that's what you're going to hear tomorrow.
00:00:58.560 That stands for Cruise the Internet.
00:00:59.880 That's where we put topics on the screen.
00:01:02.140 We talk about what's happening in the world and then we speculate on what's true, what's
00:01:06.820 not true and then we talk about how we, the people, have to fix these problems going on
00:01:10.660 in the world.
00:01:11.140 Other times we're going to have real talk.
00:01:12.700 Real talk is just 5 to 20 minutes of me giving you some real talk and then sometimes we have
00:01:17.240 75 hard verses, 75 hard verses where someone who comes in, who's completed the 75 hard
00:01:24.300 program, talks about how their life was before, how their life is now and how you can use the
00:01:29.480 75 hard program and the live hard program to drastically improve your life, all right?
00:01:35.580 A lot of you guys wonder, like, what does the 75 hard program do?
00:01:38.980 Is it some sort of TikTok challenge?
00:01:40.640 No, it's not a TikTok challenge.
00:01:42.440 It fixes the fundamental flaw in most humans, which is this.
00:01:47.660 You know what to do.
00:01:49.380 You just lack the ability to do it consistently and that's what the program fixes.
00:01:54.660 It fixes your ability to adhere to a plan so that you can get from where you are to where
00:02:00.120 you want to go.
00:02:00.980 It's massively successful.
00:02:02.740 That's why it's lasted for almost six years now.
00:02:06.340 Some people say, oh, it's a fad.
00:02:07.860 Well, fads don't last six fucking years, assholes.
00:02:11.040 So that's that.
00:02:12.560 Now we have a, you can get that program for free at episode 208 on the audio feed.
00:02:18.180 We weren't on YouTube whenever we launched that program.
00:02:21.960 So get that for free at episode 208.
00:02:24.560 And then the other thing is there's a book that covers the entire live hard program called
00:02:28.480 the book on mental toughness.
00:02:29.940 We just got some of those back in stock.
00:02:32.140 If you go to andyfricella.com, you'll be able to pick that book up there.
00:02:35.480 It goes through the entire live hard program, top to bottom.
00:02:38.160 If you're one of these people that needs to know all the details, that's an excellent
00:02:41.580 resource.
00:02:42.740 It also gives you 10 extra chapters on mental toughness, why it's important, how you need
00:02:46.760 to implement it.
00:02:47.700 And then case studies on some very famous people, how they use mental toughness to improve
00:02:51.640 their lives.
00:02:52.420 Again, you can get that book at andyfricella.com.
00:02:55.040 We do have a fee for the show.
00:02:56.600 The fee is very simple.
00:02:57.620 It means share the show.
00:02:59.340 We don't run ads on the show.
00:03:01.600 You're going to notice that's a big difference between our show and most other shows.
00:03:04.480 I don't think there's another show of this size that doesn't run ads.
00:03:08.340 In fact, I know there's not.
00:03:10.680 And the reason we do that is because I don't want to listen to what companies deem acceptable
00:03:15.460 for me to talk about.
00:03:16.720 This show is called Real AF.
00:03:18.340 It's not called I Say What You Want AF.
00:03:21.540 And I'm not going to do that.
00:03:22.920 So in exchange for that, I ask very simply that you guys help us get the word out.
00:03:26.820 We're constantly dealing with censorship, shadow bans, traffic throttles.
00:03:30.960 And if you think the message is important, we need you to help get it out.
00:03:35.560 So don't be a hoe.
00:03:37.320 Share the show.
00:03:38.560 Yep.
00:03:39.040 That's it, man.
00:03:40.040 Yeah.
00:03:40.660 Red's a good color on you.
00:03:41.920 Is it?
00:03:42.460 Mm-hmm.
00:03:45.120 Thanks.
00:03:48.180 What?
00:03:48.800 No, it's nothing.
00:03:50.100 How you doing?
00:03:51.140 Good.
00:03:51.660 Yeah?
00:03:52.100 Good.
00:03:52.620 Yeah, I was just thinking.
00:03:53.420 I was thinking about how many people don't understand the dynamic between the show of
00:03:59.260 current events and also personal development.
00:04:01.820 Mm-hmm.
00:04:02.200 Like the reason I started doing this show, for those of you guys who are new, I had a
00:04:06.740 number one podcast called the MFCEO Project, which was the number one business and entrepreneur
00:04:11.520 podcast on the planet.
00:04:13.800 We're also consistently ranked number one with this show.
00:04:17.140 Um, and it was strictly business.
00:04:20.240 And then we pivoted in 2019, the end of 2019, to talk about what was going on in the world.
00:04:25.780 And the reason we do this is because this country has been very good to me and, um, I've
00:04:31.760 been very successful with the soil, uh, that freedom has provided.
00:04:37.480 And we, as entrepreneurs have to take responsibility, not just for our own success, but also preserving
00:04:44.420 the ability for the people that come behind us to, to build and grow success.
00:04:48.680 So that's why we talk about what's going on in the world.
00:04:50.920 And then we talk about how you can actually go build success, sort of like peanut butter
00:04:54.660 and jelly.
00:04:55.100 That's why we do that.
00:04:55.960 So, uh, I don't think anybody else does that.
00:04:58.800 We got a unique format here.
00:05:00.180 And I think if you stick around and listen, you're going to enjoy it.
00:05:02.780 So for sure.
00:05:03.260 I mean, then like all the issues and problems that we talk and address about on TTI, this,
00:05:08.000 this show is, well, how do you, what do you do about it?
00:05:10.460 Yeah, that's right.
00:05:11.100 Right.
00:05:11.380 And it's, it's increasing standards, man.
00:05:12.900 It's personal development.
00:05:13.760 It's winning.
00:05:14.420 It's kicking ass.
00:05:15.300 That's what we're here for.
00:05:16.700 Um, so let's, let's, let's do that.
00:05:18.920 Yeah, let's do it.
00:05:19.980 Uh, guys, Andy question, uh, number one, Andy, uh, what's your view on supporting other
00:05:28.180 small businesses as a small business or more specifically those who don't support
00:05:33.180 you back.
00:05:34.360 Uh, I run a gaming lounge called never board.
00:05:37.340 We opened in November of 2023.
00:05:39.280 But before that I have supported small businesses in the area for years, spending thousands of
00:05:45.140 dollars, supporting various companies and even helping them clean up, uh, when they prepare
00:05:49.540 it to open.
00:05:50.300 Uh, but when we opened, not even one has come through the doors.
00:05:54.960 Uh, and just for an example of one that made me extremely salty, my girlfriend asked a bakery
00:06:00.360 operator in which we've spent thousands, uh, to let her son come play games to which she
00:06:05.740 replied, quote, Oh, he has games.
00:06:08.220 We're good.
00:06:09.320 Uh, which I can understand, but damn, $20 ain't much compared to us being one of their,
00:06:13.820 uh, top five customers and supporters.
00:06:16.040 I haven't been back, um, since and stopped spending at small businesses in the area.
00:06:20.960 Period.
00:06:21.760 Do you think this will backfire or does it even matter?
00:06:24.880 Small businesses helping out small businesses.
00:06:26.700 What's the outlook on that?
00:06:27.880 Well, the first thing is the reason you're supporting small businesses is not because
00:06:32.740 you believe in supporting small businesses.
00:06:34.640 It's because you think that they should support you back.
00:06:37.080 That's not actual support.
00:06:38.760 That's a trade.
00:06:39.860 And since the boundaries or the rules or the trade wasn't discussed up front, these other
00:06:45.660 people aren't giving their part.
00:06:46.980 And now you're bitter.
00:06:48.220 All right.
00:06:48.940 You should support small business, but you should support small business because it's the right
00:06:53.140 thing to do.
00:06:53.740 Not because you're going to get something back.
00:06:55.740 All right.
00:06:56.340 And this leads into something else.
00:06:57.720 A lot of you guys are fucking entitled.
00:06:59.800 You believe that because you open a business or because you show up to work or because you
00:07:05.380 breathe air that you're entitled to winning.
00:07:08.560 Winning is hard.
00:07:09.860 There are very few people that win.
00:07:11.840 It's not something that you get by just showing up at your job every single day over and over
00:07:16.740 and over again for years.
00:07:17.900 You have to decide what it is you want and you have to go after it with every fucking ounce
00:07:22.660 of energy that you have, every available resource that you have.
00:07:26.140 And there's this misunderstanding about what winning actually is and who gets to actually
00:07:31.280 win.
00:07:31.760 That's come from the Internet and this fake entrepreneur culture where it seems like everybody's
00:07:37.860 rich and everybody's kicking ass and everybody's winning.
00:07:41.220 And that is not true.
00:07:42.900 All right.
00:07:43.200 Just like on a professional sports team, there is limited amounts of spots for the winners.
00:07:48.480 That's the same in life.
00:07:49.980 And just because you were born and breathe air and you think you're special and your
00:07:54.760 mom thinks you're special and your dad thinks you're special doesn't mean shit.
00:07:59.360 Okay.
00:07:59.640 So let's get that out of the way.
00:08:01.180 You have to decide what it is you're going to do and you have to go at it with every single
00:08:06.920 ounce of energy that you can possibly muster.
00:08:11.140 And then you have to do that for years.
00:08:13.980 And then there's still no guarantee that you're going to win.
00:08:17.600 So you guys who think that you're just going to win because you're you, you're sorely mistaken.
00:08:23.520 Those of you who think you're going to show up at a job and eventually the boss is going
00:08:27.960 to come to you and say, Hey, I think I want to give you a whole bunch of money.
00:08:31.240 That's never going to happen fucking anywhere.
00:08:33.380 You have to become an undeniable solution.
00:08:36.580 And if that's in your business, that means your business has to solve a problem that is
00:08:41.400 very, very real for people.
00:08:43.120 And it has to solve it better than everybody else.
00:08:45.720 If you're not doing that, you're going to fucking lose.
00:08:48.400 If you're an entrepreneur or you're an employee and you want to build a career within a company,
00:08:53.280 if you show up every single day and you think that just because you show up and you
00:08:57.460 take a shower and you breathe the air and you do your job at a satisfactory standard that
00:09:04.560 you're somehow going to make it, you're fucking wrong.
00:09:07.620 Okay.
00:09:07.900 You're going to spend your whole life exactly where you are because there are always going
00:09:11.860 to be people that come in, take it serious, give it everything they have, and they're going
00:09:16.680 to beat you.
00:09:17.320 And that's reality.
00:09:18.340 So if you're one of these people who thinks that you're entitled to winning because you
00:09:24.140 think that, you know, you're going to show up and it's just going to materialize, you're
00:09:28.400 fucking wrong.
00:09:29.100 And I'm telling you this to be real with you because I don't want you wasting another
00:09:32.420 five, 10 years of your life and then wonder why you got screwed over.
00:09:36.240 You didn't get screwed over.
00:09:37.240 You misunderstood the rules of the game and you played a game that isn't in congruency with
00:09:41.740 the real game.
00:09:42.660 That's where you're messing up.
00:09:43.960 So I, that's, this is a, uh, an entitlement problem amongst a lot of young people.
00:09:50.560 All right.
00:09:51.940 So with that being said, with your business, you are not entitled to any trade.
00:09:58.880 You are not entitled to anybody referring.
00:10:01.340 You are not entitled to anybody coming to shop with you just because you shop with them.
00:10:05.620 You should be working to support small businesses in your community.
00:10:08.940 If you want to build a community where everybody supports each other, maybe you should use your
00:10:16.420 energy to create a network or a group where everybody supports each other.
00:10:21.600 But that bakery is not obligated to send their kids to play fucking video games at your shop,
00:10:26.100 bro.
00:10:26.860 Okay.
00:10:27.420 I'm not even sure that that's an actual business because people can play games at home and they
00:10:32.980 want to play games at home because they want to put the headset on and want to tell their
00:10:36.560 friends fuck off and eat shit and suck a dick over the fucking internet.
00:10:40.460 They do.
00:10:41.260 Yeah.
00:10:41.680 And they can't say that in public.
00:10:43.400 So I don't even know if you have a good concept.
00:10:45.280 I'm just being real.
00:10:46.380 All right.
00:10:47.220 Maybe you do.
00:10:48.080 I don't know enough about gaming to know, but I'm going to tell you this.
00:10:51.440 If you operate with that attitude, you're going to fucking lose.
00:10:55.080 Nobody owes you a fucking thing.
00:10:57.100 You have to be great.
00:10:58.180 You have to solve a problem that is real and you have to solve a problem in a way that is
00:11:03.060 better than every other available solution.
00:11:05.260 It is that simple.
00:11:06.560 And you have to do that forever.
00:11:08.160 That is the game of business.
00:11:09.560 There are too many of you fuckers that are trying to start businesses that think this
00:11:13.260 shit's just easy.
00:11:14.340 And you think you're because you're born, you're going to make it.
00:11:17.680 You're not going to make it, bro.
00:11:19.160 When I was building my companies the first time now I'm involved in a bunch of companies
00:11:23.700 now, but when I was building supplement superstores from the ground up that would eventually
00:11:28.260 birth first form.
00:11:29.860 Okay.
00:11:31.300 I read every single night.
00:11:33.280 I read books.
00:11:33.940 I've studied people.
00:11:35.540 I read case studies.
00:11:36.860 I was so fucking in deep in the information of how to get better.
00:11:43.220 You couldn't possibly fathom it.
00:11:45.680 I didn't do anything else.
00:11:47.360 And you guys want this to, you know, you, you guys come into your places and you're
00:11:51.240 like, Oh, well, you know, I'm not really happy doing what I'm doing.
00:11:56.140 You think this is about fucking being happy, bro?
00:11:58.640 This is about winning.
00:11:59.860 This is about producing.
00:12:00.940 It's great if you can be happy doing it, but if you're not, it doesn't fucking matter.
00:12:05.760 All right.
00:12:06.740 You have to go hard and you have to be willing to be a student and you have to be willing
00:12:12.080 to be enough of a student that you're going to become better than everybody else.
00:12:16.280 And a lot of you guys just aren't willing to do that work.
00:12:18.780 And then you want the wins.
00:12:20.280 You want the money.
00:12:21.060 You want the high paycheck.
00:12:22.360 You want the nice life.
00:12:23.920 You want the house.
00:12:25.020 You want the cars.
00:12:26.060 You want all the shit, but you want to come to work and talk about, well, I don't really
00:12:30.100 know if this is what I want to be doing.
00:12:32.320 Motherfucker.
00:12:32.760 Well then figure out what you want to do and go all in on it because otherwise you ain't
00:12:36.060 going to get shit.
00:12:36.680 You're going to be living in that shitty apartment till you're 45 years old or older, and you ain't
00:12:41.220 going to have anything in your life.
00:12:42.340 And it's only getting harder.
00:12:43.860 So you better get to work now.
00:12:45.280 That's right.
00:12:45.660 And I want to, I want to hit on this, this, this topic of just small businesses in general, man,
00:12:49.500 because again, this is the stuff we cover on CCI.
00:12:51.640 We know how hard it is for small businesses as it is, right?
00:12:56.540 And like, I think, isn't it kind of ignorant to just assume that they have the same support
00:13:01.260 even just to give, you know, $20 or whatever the fuck it is.
00:13:04.480 Like everybody's struggling out there right now.
00:13:06.900 Yeah.
00:13:07.220 You know what I'm saying?
00:13:07.480 Like small businesses, what do you say?
00:13:09.640 You said most businesses are-
00:13:11.140 Within a week or two of going out of business.
00:13:12.800 Right.
00:13:13.780 Right.
00:13:14.260 That's the other myth that people don't understand.
00:13:16.720 Everybody thinks that because you have a business, you're rich.
00:13:20.660 Right.
00:13:20.920 You're printing money.
00:13:22.180 You're selling a product that costs you a penny for $100 and you're rich as fuck.
00:13:27.000 That's what everybody thinks.
00:13:28.720 Most small businesses are within two weeks of fucking missing payroll and going out of business.
00:13:32.540 That's reality.
00:13:33.680 And you guys don't get it.
00:13:35.240 This is not a game.
00:13:36.300 This is not a game for fucking soft people.
00:13:39.160 Like, like, it's not just something you just, I, oh, I woke up today and you know what?
00:13:43.220 I'm going to start a company or I'm going to become an entrepreneur.
00:13:45.980 I'm going to blah, blah, blah.
00:13:47.340 Bro, you have no idea what you're talking about.
00:13:49.240 This is the hardest path you could ever choose in life.
00:13:52.260 And a lot of you guys think you can get by on it like it's a fucking vacation.
00:13:57.300 Right.
00:13:57.780 I'm going to call myself an NFL athlete.
00:13:59.880 And then I'm not going to train.
00:14:01.240 I'm not going to eat right.
00:14:02.500 I'm not going to go to practice.
00:14:03.900 I'm not going to run the plays.
00:14:05.140 I'm not going to fucking get with my team and study film.
00:14:08.240 But I want the big contract.
00:14:10.620 I want to play on Sundays.
00:14:12.380 And if I don't play, you're treating me unfairly.
00:14:16.060 That is exactly what people do.
00:14:18.160 We have a big problem with a lot of you young motherfuckers.
00:14:21.620 You do not fucking get it.
00:14:23.100 It's going to take you way more energy and way more fucking time than you could possibly ever comprehend.
00:14:31.220 You are going to want to quit a gazillion times.
00:14:35.100 And that's not going to stop when you get five years in or 10 years in or 20 years in.
00:14:40.040 There are days that I come in here and I am like, fuck this.
00:14:44.160 This is fucking ridiculous.
00:14:46.540 And I go the fuck home.
00:14:48.140 But you know what I do?
00:14:49.380 I come back tomorrow for more.
00:14:50.920 And that's the difference between an actual entrepreneur and someone who's not built for the game.
00:14:55.960 The person that's built for the game will deal with these frustrating times.
00:14:59.500 They'll deal with these hard times.
00:15:01.020 They'll get pissed off.
00:15:02.080 They'll yell.
00:15:02.520 They'll scream.
00:15:02.960 They'll even say they quit.
00:15:04.620 But when tomorrow rolls around, they'll be the first motherfucker there ready to kick ass.
00:15:08.620 That's reality.
00:15:09.720 But the difference between that person and the people who think they're entrepreneurs is those people get kicked in the nuts the first time.
00:15:17.820 And they're like, oh, it's not fair.
00:15:20.080 No shit.
00:15:21.200 It's not fucking fair.
00:15:22.540 No one ever said, hey, life is fair.
00:15:24.460 And if they told you that, they lied.
00:15:27.080 Okay?
00:15:27.420 No one ever said you get a fair opportunity.
00:15:29.820 Everybody starts in a different place.
00:15:31.640 That's not fair.
00:15:33.040 What matters is where you go from where you start to where you end.
00:15:36.780 Not that Johnny down the street had rich parents or Tommy down the street, you know, he inherited a bunch of money from his grandpa or he works in his grandpa's company.
00:15:46.940 What the fuck does that matter to you?
00:15:49.560 It doesn't.
00:15:50.460 And most of you spend your whole lives being a poor little me bitch and not having anything because you're too worried about what other people are doing.
00:15:58.540 You're counting other people's money.
00:16:00.380 You know what the quickest way for you to have no money is?
00:16:02.800 To count other motherfuckers money.
00:16:04.820 Start counting your own money.
00:16:05.960 That's right shit, man.
00:16:07.500 I want to ask you this, man, because it's like, you know, you're dispelling the myth of the reality of when you're getting started.
00:16:14.220 Let me ask you this, Andy.
00:16:15.040 You're 25 years in.
00:16:16.220 Does this principle still hold true for you now?
00:16:20.980 Like, you want to start another business now?
00:16:22.400 Like, it's still the same thing even 25 years now.
00:16:25.080 Yeah, but now it's different because I can jump a lot of the bullshit because I have the financial wherewithal and means to jump ahead.
00:16:33.180 I can hire an operator.
00:16:35.560 I can hire a guy to build the brand out.
00:16:37.680 I can fucking fund the company.
00:16:39.740 There's all kinds of shit I can do now that I couldn't do then.
00:16:42.100 Sure.
00:16:42.340 Where back then, I'm trying to sell a $5, $10, $20 ticket to fund that.
00:16:48.000 Okay, that's what takes so long.
00:16:49.700 Right.
00:16:49.980 But now I'm in a position because I've paid my dues and I've never quit.
00:16:53.880 And every time I said I was going to quit, I didn't.
00:16:56.420 All right.
00:16:57.100 Now, if I want to start something, I can say, okay, we need a COO.
00:17:00.820 We need a CEO.
00:17:01.660 We need this.
00:17:02.400 Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:17:03.120 There's the check.
00:17:04.020 Go fucking do it.
00:17:05.660 But it still doesn't.
00:17:06.580 Like, what I wanted to get to is, like, this idea of the Midas touch that, like,
00:17:11.480 there's still no guarantee that it just fucking works.
00:17:13.900 No.
00:17:14.880 No.
00:17:15.840 Yeah, just because you win at one thing doesn't mean you're going to win at everything.
00:17:19.260 That's a whole other concept that people don't understand.
00:17:25.780 Like, we see this in entrepreneurship all the time.
00:17:28.680 People build one successful business and they think because they built one that they can build another one.
00:17:33.500 So what do they do?
00:17:34.200 Instead of staying in their core competency, the thing they understand, the thing they know, the area that they've already had success in, you know, they jump over here to something they've never done.
00:17:43.500 And they think just because they're them, they're going to succeed.
00:17:46.280 And they end up getting killed.
00:17:47.720 Like, every business is a art.
00:17:50.920 There's an art to it.
00:17:52.760 If you're in the food and beverage and the hospitality business, there is an art to that.
00:17:57.100 If you're in a direct consumer CPG business, there's an art to that.
00:18:00.860 If you're in the real estate business, there's an art to that.
00:18:03.180 You can't just go from one to the other to the other and think you're going to kick ass.
00:18:07.120 And a lot of people, I mean, this is definitely a down-the-road question for most people.
00:18:12.340 But a lot of people think that because they did one thing decent that they can do anything decent.
00:18:16.860 That's not the case.
00:18:17.980 A lot of people get killed that way.
00:18:19.800 But the bottom line here is this.
00:18:21.680 It's hard.
00:18:22.200 And you guys that think it's fucking not hard and you think that you're just going to show up and coast and, you know, do mediocre work so you don't get yelled at.
00:18:30.880 And eventually someone's going to come to you and pay you a big amount and you're going to naturally move up.
00:18:35.180 You motherfuckers are going to be broke your whole lives.
00:18:37.340 It doesn't work that way.
00:18:38.220 Your job as an entrepreneur is to be able to go to your boss and be like, look at the fuck I'm doing, bro.
00:18:44.100 Who else is doing this?
00:18:45.880 I want to move up.
00:18:46.900 I want to do that.
00:18:47.940 I can do that.
00:18:48.780 Here, let me show you how I can do it.
00:18:50.520 That's your job.
00:18:51.280 It's not the other way around.
00:18:52.380 It's not the job for the guy to come to you and say, oh, I recognize some potential in you.
00:18:56.720 Can you do this?
00:18:57.420 Yeah, that's not how the fuck it works.
00:18:59.840 And then on top of it, in your business, like so many people now think they can open a mediocre business, a business that just barely serves the solution to the problem that's presented.
00:19:14.300 They do it in a mediocre way.
00:19:16.120 They open a sandwich shop and instead of having the best sandwiches with the best fucking service and the best, bro, it's got a soda fountain and they're back there making sandwiches.
00:19:26.100 And they think they're going to make it, bro.
00:19:28.260 You ain't going to make it.
00:19:29.320 Your product's not good enough.
00:19:30.880 Your company's not good enough.
00:19:32.280 Your concept's not good enough.
00:19:33.660 Like this idea that we don't live in a competitive marketplace is the most damaging thing that these kids have ever been taught.
00:19:41.360 And it comes from this mentality that you get a fucking 17th place trophy for showing the fuck up.
00:19:47.060 See, now we're dealing with these adults, these kids that got participation trophies.
00:19:51.220 We're dealing with them as adults.
00:19:52.820 And they think that as long as they show up and they say, oh, I want to be an entrepreneur, and as long as they show up and they do a mediocre job, that they're going to be like at the top of the game.
00:20:02.560 And then when they're not at the top of the game, it's some sort of injustice.
00:20:05.620 It's some sort of discrimination.
00:20:07.540 It's some sort of unfairness.
00:20:09.760 No, you're not good enough.
00:20:11.920 If we translated this to sports, it would be, hey, you're a wide receiver.
00:20:16.840 All the three other wide receivers never drop the ball.
00:20:19.380 You drop the ball every single time.
00:20:21.060 Oh, and by the way, they run 4-2-40s.
00:20:23.640 You run a 6-2.
00:20:25.240 And you're saying, oh, well, it's not fair that I don't get the play.
00:20:27.560 No, you're not good enough.
00:20:29.660 And that's the problem that we have with these young people.
00:20:32.700 You drastically overestimate your skill set, and it costs you your whole life.
00:20:38.680 I love it, man.
00:20:39.860 I love it.
00:20:41.820 Guys, Andy, question number two.
00:20:44.580 This question is a little bit more about loneliness, Andy.
00:20:49.080 We get lonely.
00:20:49.760 Hey, Andy.
00:20:51.940 He actually, oh, this is that 20-year-old from Louisiana we answered a couple weeks ago.
00:20:58.000 We got another good question here.
00:21:00.220 Andy, 20 years old from South Louisiana.
00:21:02.900 I work nearly every day of the week, and I'm a full-time college student.
00:21:06.120 My parents divorced recently, and my family has almost fallen apart.
00:21:09.560 I live alone majority of the time now.
00:21:12.240 I've started distancing myself from friends because it's going to be beneficial for me and my goals.
00:21:17.260 I broke up with my girlfriend.
00:21:19.040 I'm trying to stop talking to her so much.
00:21:20.980 In general, the only thing it feels like I have right now is my dog and my goals, and that's what's keeping me going.
00:21:28.540 I've never been this alone before, and I don't want to get to the point where I'm antisocial and going to be alone my whole life and miss out on all the good things.
00:21:37.640 I want to be surrounded by caring and loving people that want to win with me.
00:21:42.060 I don't know if I'm making the right move by keeping to myself and embracing the loneliness to work on myself, or if I need to actually hang on to what I do have.
00:21:52.280 Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
00:21:53.980 How do you handle loneliness?
00:21:55.240 What's the concept of being lonely?
00:21:57.840 What's the reality of it, man?
00:21:59.760 That shit don't matter to me.
00:22:02.860 I don't even think about shit like that.
00:22:04.960 I don't even fucking think about it.
00:22:06.360 I've never in 25 years thought, fuck, I'm lonely.
00:22:11.900 Never one time.
00:22:13.260 I am perfectly comfortable being by myself.
00:22:15.780 I can take care of myself.
00:22:16.900 I like myself.
00:22:17.780 I like who the fuck I am.
00:22:19.200 I think I'm pretty badass.
00:22:20.820 I got a lot of shit to do.
00:22:22.340 I don't really give a fuck.
00:22:23.860 And if someone's going to be in my circle, they're going to make me better.
00:22:27.360 They're going to push me down the path.
00:22:28.960 They're going to offer something that makes me better, whether it just be a good friendship where I can talk to them openly and honestly, because let's be real.
00:22:38.140 When you start to get some success and you talk about your life around all your old friends from back in the day, they perceive that to be you bragging and flexing on them when in reality it's just your life.
00:22:49.080 So when you become successful, you can't really even talk about your life except for with other successful people because everybody else thinks you're a pompous ass.
00:22:56.900 Okay.
00:22:57.140 And so for me, I don't care.
00:23:01.280 I don't think about it.
00:23:02.320 If someone comes in my life, great.
00:23:04.680 If they contribute to my life, great.
00:23:06.640 If they take away from my life, they make things harder.
00:23:09.300 They're out of my life immediately.
00:23:10.980 So that's how I think about it.
00:23:13.380 A lot of you young guys, like I think you hear advice and you take it so literal that like, you know, it sounds to me like, would you just go home and tell all your friends to fuck off?
00:23:22.240 And tell your girlfriend to fuck like, that's not what anybody's saying here, bro.
00:23:26.000 What people are saying is they're saying, hey, you either got propellers in your boat or you got anchors in your boat.
00:23:32.680 All right.
00:23:33.300 The propellers are the friends, the relationships, the girlfriends, the boyfriends that make you better.
00:23:39.940 They encourage you.
00:23:41.140 They help you.
00:23:41.900 They push you to be better.
00:23:43.800 They bring peace to your life.
00:23:46.080 OK, the anchors are the people who do the opposite of that.
00:23:50.360 They make you doubt yourself.
00:23:51.780 They make you question yourself.
00:23:53.120 They bring negativity into your life.
00:23:55.080 They make things harder.
00:23:56.660 OK, you want to get rid of those people and replace them with people who are the former, who are people that are going to propel you forward.
00:24:04.720 So we all need friends and we all need relationships.
00:24:08.160 We don't need to be totally isolated.
00:24:10.540 Some people are OK being isolated.
00:24:12.400 I am one of those people, but I am by no means one of the people who tells you to go, like, just tell everybody to eat shit, which is what you sound like you did.
00:24:21.680 Yeah.
00:24:22.260 You know, you can also take peace in that loneliness if you're actually working.
00:24:27.480 Yeah.
00:24:27.640 You know what you're saying?
00:24:28.500 Yeah.
00:24:29.040 Yeah.
00:24:29.900 Like, if you're in the boat, as long as you're rowing.
00:24:31.720 Listen, I got to be real, dude.
00:24:33.060 I never struggle with that.
00:24:34.260 I've never struggled with feeling lonely.
00:24:35.680 I could be completely alone for fucking unlimited amounts of time.
00:24:42.180 I mean, I feel fucking fine.
00:24:43.240 Laugh at your own jokes.
00:24:44.240 Yeah, for sure.
00:24:44.980 Just like here.
00:24:45.920 Yeah.
00:24:47.040 It's all good, man.
00:24:47.940 I'm a funny motherfucker.
00:24:48.980 Well, I think I think this is I think I don't know if this is maybe just a new generational thing because I know I think a lot of people struggle.
00:24:54.860 It's a real thing, man, because I think, you know, even now with these phones, social media, we're more connected, quote unquote.
00:25:00.320 But this is the loneliest we have ever been as a society.
00:25:02.600 Right.
00:25:03.060 Yeah.
00:25:03.580 And so I think it's a real thing.
00:25:04.840 I don't.
00:25:05.020 Yeah.
00:25:05.160 But also, dude, like I don't put value on that.
00:25:08.480 Like, I don't put that's not what I value in my life.
00:25:10.880 I don't value and think about like, oh, man, my my I'm lonely.
00:25:16.140 So something's wrong.
00:25:17.360 I think about it like I'm lonely because no one can keep up.
00:25:20.960 OK, that's how I look at it.
00:25:22.640 And that's the truth.
00:25:23.840 That's the fucking truth.
00:25:24.980 The evidence suggests that.
00:25:26.640 OK, so other people that I hang out with, they're also those kind of people like all my friends that I talk to.
00:25:32.720 You guys know them all.
00:25:33.580 So those people, I might not talk to them for six months, but when I pick up the phone, it's like totally cool.
00:25:40.180 There's none of this bullshit that y'all deal with with this low level relationship shit where it's like, oh, you know, you haven't called me.
00:25:47.120 Oh, you only call me when you need something.
00:25:49.020 No shit.
00:25:49.840 That's why we fucking call it.
00:25:51.300 The people at the top, they understand that.
00:25:53.220 Right.
00:25:53.420 It's not even a question.
00:25:54.160 They understand that.
00:25:55.720 Like, you're only calling me because you know shit.
00:25:58.740 That's why you call me, too, so we can help each other win.
00:26:01.360 Right.
00:26:01.540 That's what the fuck we do.
00:26:03.020 OK, at the bottom, you got all this bullshit.
00:26:06.420 Oh, you you fucking called Steve three times and you invited him to barbecue and you didn't call.
00:26:12.820 You only call me once.
00:26:13.900 That's loser shit.
00:26:14.980 That's how losers act.
00:26:16.020 That's how they behave.
00:26:17.140 That's what you don't want in your life.
00:26:19.020 I don't fuck with people like that.
00:26:20.400 Neither does anybody else who's successful.
00:26:22.080 They don't have time for it.
00:26:23.340 Another thing is, is that when you're that busy, you don't have room for a lot of relationships.
00:26:29.440 You don't have room for a lot of friendships.
00:26:31.320 So when you first start down the path of being ambitious, it can feel like nobody's around,
00:26:36.880 but you better get used to it because the reality is, as I said in the beginning on the
00:26:41.080 first question, it's so fucking hard.
00:26:43.340 It takes up all your motherfucking time.
00:26:45.280 And if you don't put that time in, you're going to lose.
00:26:48.120 So what time do you have for meaningless friendships if you're actually trying to win?
00:26:55.000 And a lot of you guys aren't actually trying to win.
00:26:57.460 So you're trying to live a normal person's life with balance and a great friend group
00:27:03.080 and dinners out and all this shit.
00:27:05.580 And then think you still have the time and energy to build, which dude, that's what I'm
00:27:09.540 trying to explain to you.
00:27:10.440 You don't.
00:27:11.500 Okay.
00:27:12.180 So when you're that busy and you're that caught up in trying to do something that matters
00:27:17.000 in that area, you're, you're going to have sacrifices in other areas.
00:27:21.700 And that's why I get so pissed off with all this garbage on the internet.
00:27:25.180 We have all these entrepreneur people and all these faux therapists on the internet telling
00:27:30.060 people that there's something wrong with them because they want to be successful entrepreneurs
00:27:35.980 or they have goals or they have dreams.
00:27:38.020 And if you listen to your friends, they tell you the same shit.
00:27:40.500 Listen to what they say.
00:27:41.680 Ooh, remember where you came from.
00:27:44.860 Oh, you know, don't forget us.
00:27:47.320 Oh, you know, you're getting a little too cocky.
00:27:49.880 You know, make sure you stay humble.
00:27:51.540 Those are all losers, bro.
00:27:52.880 Every fucking single one of those people should be cut the fuck out.
00:27:55.980 A real friend will say, hey, that's awesome that you're doing that, bro.
00:28:00.760 That's badass.
00:28:02.000 Is there anything I can do to help?
00:28:03.240 Let me know what you need.
00:28:04.020 Yeah.
00:28:04.600 Yeah.
00:28:04.860 Yeah.
00:28:05.980 Yeah.
00:28:06.620 That's real shit, man.
00:28:07.700 I love it.
00:28:08.760 Shout out to Louisiana.
00:28:10.540 Yeah, bro.
00:28:11.180 You don't have to cut everybody out.
00:28:13.680 You just have to cut the people out that are making it harder.
00:28:16.660 That's the point.
00:28:17.480 You don't have to be isolated.
00:28:19.340 Some people like to be isolated.
00:28:21.560 Okay.
00:28:22.080 Like, but there's nothing wrong with them if they do.
00:28:24.960 Right.
00:28:25.300 Like, dude, I feel like this whole, this whole culture of social media entrepreneurship and
00:28:31.700 business, this is why I'm bringing back MFCEO.
00:28:34.400 It's so warped that it's training these kids and these young men and women the wrong game.
00:28:42.540 Like you, you are not going to build a successful business, a successful company and still have
00:28:48.880 everything that your friends have that have a regular life where they work 40 hours.
00:28:54.560 You're not going to have everything they have, but guess what?
00:28:57.500 They're not going to have everything you have.
00:28:59.600 They're going to have other problems.
00:29:01.000 You're going to have problems too, but they're going to be different kinds of problems.
00:29:03.900 And I'll tell you, as someone who's had poor people problems and rich people problems, I'll take rich people problems every fucking day of the week.
00:29:10.780 Real talk.
00:29:11.380 I love it.
00:29:12.100 It's true.
00:29:12.720 I love it.
00:29:13.740 I love it.
00:29:14.240 Guys, Andy, our third and final question, question number three.
00:29:17.220 Hey, Andy, I've been listening to your podcast for a few months now, and it consistently motivates me to improve my life.
00:29:24.020 I have attempted to complete 75 heart twice, but was unsuccessful both times.
00:29:28.600 I want to make a third attempt after I finish your book.
00:29:32.520 Over the past few years, I have experienced challenging times that have led to weight gain and depression.
00:29:37.560 My biggest challenge currently is resisting unhealthy food.
00:29:42.640 While this might seem easy to others, it has been a significant struggle for me.
00:29:47.460 Although I am not obese, I am not where I want to be.
00:29:50.460 This phase in my life has also impacted my career and left me with no motivation.
00:29:54.980 For my third attempt at completing 75 heart, I am seeking assistance from someone who can help me be accountable with my meal preparations and stuff like that.
00:30:04.460 However, I perceive this reliance on external support as a sign of weakness.
00:30:10.020 It is.
00:30:10.800 That's why.
00:30:11.600 That's why you perceive it that way, because it fucking is.
00:30:13.980 You sound like a bitch.
00:30:15.220 Okay?
00:30:15.500 You're going to let fucking food control your entire life.
00:30:18.220 You already said you're not happy with yourself.
00:30:20.380 You don't like looking in the mirror.
00:30:21.940 You already said you're fucking fat.
00:30:23.380 You said you're not obese, but I bet you are.
00:30:25.360 Okay?
00:30:25.820 The reality is you're going to let fucking food decide the outcome of your existence.
00:30:32.000 This is an inanimate object.
00:30:33.540 This is a fucking nothing.
00:30:35.500 All you have to do is stop doing something, which is putting it in your fucking mouth.
00:30:40.780 Think about that.
00:30:41.920 Your entire life and your happiness is fucking being decided because you can't stop doing something.
00:30:48.780 It takes more energy to do it than it does to not do it.
00:30:52.540 Okay?
00:30:53.140 And you thinking that other people are going to fucking come support you and do all this, bro, that is weak.
00:30:58.780 That's why you're fucking seeing it as weakness, because that's what it is.
00:31:02.280 Okay?
00:31:02.560 Third of all, 75 hard is not 75 fucking easy.
00:31:06.900 It's 75 fucking hard.
00:31:09.180 And you saying, and other people saying, well, I'm going to give it a try.
00:31:12.380 That's not how hard things are accomplished.
00:31:15.440 Hard things are accomplished by saying, I am going to fucking do this no matter what.
00:31:20.540 No matter what happens.
00:31:21.880 No matter what happens in my life.
00:31:23.760 No matter what the weather is.
00:31:24.940 No matter what the circumstances.
00:31:26.740 No matter what.
00:31:28.620 I will fucking die before I fail at that.
00:31:32.220 That is the attitude that it takes to complete anything difficult in your life, including that program.
00:31:37.180 So you looking at it like it's another diet, like it's fucking Jenny Craig, is the reason that you're having problems with it, bro.
00:31:43.560 You don't even understand the main point of the program.
00:31:46.180 The main point of the program is not to get your fat ass in shape.
00:31:49.400 It's to get your mind in shape so that your fat ass follows.
00:31:52.900 Okay?
00:31:53.340 The reason that you have trouble, you said it.
00:31:56.560 I can't control my food.
00:31:57.960 That's going to translate into everything else.
00:32:01.660 Okay?
00:32:02.820 You know what to do.
00:32:04.340 Other people know what to do.
00:32:05.800 They just can't do it.
00:32:07.340 So what do you have to fix?
00:32:08.780 You have to fix your ability to adhere.
00:32:11.560 Your ability to follow through.
00:32:13.700 Your ability to finish.
00:32:15.220 And most people's problems, 99% of the people on this planet's problem, is that they cannot adhere to the plan.
00:32:22.740 People understand what to do with their career.
00:32:25.600 They understand what to do with their fitness.
00:32:27.520 They understand how to be a good person.
00:32:30.040 They can't fucking do it.
00:32:31.780 That's what the program fixes.
00:32:33.480 It fixes your ability to actually be able to follow through, which then translates into here and over here and over here into all areas of your life.
00:32:42.640 That's why it's called a mental toughness program and not Jenny Craig's fucking bullshit Weight Watchers program.
00:32:48.800 Whatever the fuck you guys do.
00:32:50.540 Okay?
00:32:50.860 It's not a fucking TikTok challenge.
00:32:52.920 It's not something easy.
00:32:54.220 It's not something everybody does just because it's cool.
00:32:57.240 It's not a fad.
00:32:58.480 It's been around for five and a half fucking years.
00:33:00.540 It's an actual program that will fix your fucking mind if you do it the right way.
00:33:06.240 And you thinking that other people owe you support or are going to hold you accountable is the fucking problem, bro.
00:33:13.460 The reason you are where you are in life is because you're not taking accountability for yourself and you're thinking that you need other people to hold you accountable.
00:33:21.540 So if you're going to go out and build a life, a career that makes money, a great family, a great existence, a great, everything great.
00:33:29.260 Do you think there's going to be someone standing there next to you fucking holding you accountable?
00:33:32.780 Are you going to have to hold you accountable?
00:33:35.180 Okay?
00:33:35.980 That's the truth.
00:33:37.120 You want to know the truth?
00:33:38.180 That's the truth.
00:33:39.000 You're being a weak bitch.
00:33:40.160 You're exactly the kind of person that needs that program.
00:33:42.820 All right?
00:33:44.180 So that's the answer.
00:33:46.340 Yeah, I love it.
00:33:47.340 Fuck, dude.
00:33:48.220 It's like, what the fuck, bro?
00:33:49.860 We got a softness problem in our country.
00:33:52.280 We got a softness problem in society.
00:33:54.820 Nobody's going to fucking fix your life.
00:33:57.240 Nobody's going to save you.
00:33:58.960 Nobody's going to come pat you on the ass and say, oh, fucking good job.
00:34:02.160 Every time you do something you're supposed to do, you're supposed to do it.
00:34:05.920 It's like these motherfuckers that say on the internet, I do everything I'm supposed to.
00:34:09.520 I fucking raise my kids.
00:34:10.760 I pay my bills.
00:34:12.300 I got a job.
00:34:12.960 No shit.
00:34:14.040 So you're a moderately functioning, bare level human being.
00:34:18.820 Like it's the fucking, like you won the Super Bowl for fucking waking up and having a job
00:34:23.280 and paying your bills.
00:34:25.100 You see what I'm saying?
00:34:26.100 Yeah, yeah.
00:34:26.980 Fuck, dude.
00:34:28.180 That's the minimum.
00:34:28.640 Bro, there is a fucking plague going on in our society, in our culture, that people,
00:34:35.880 they do not understand that they are on their own.
00:34:39.600 You are the reason for your problems and you are also the solution to your problems.
00:34:45.500 It is nobody else's obligation to come along and fucking support you.
00:34:50.380 It is no, oh, nobody supports me.
00:34:52.540 So what?
00:34:53.060 Oh, my friends don't support, so what?
00:34:56.280 Oh, I don't have any friends.
00:34:57.840 So what?
00:34:58.720 No one fucking cares, man.
00:35:00.680 I can say to you, that sucks.
00:35:02.920 I feel bad that that's for you.
00:35:04.280 It doesn't change it.
00:35:05.680 It doesn't change it.
00:35:06.880 So are you going to sit there your whole life and have a shitty existence because of some
00:35:13.080 fucking external reason?
00:35:14.760 I was born in this situation.
00:35:16.660 I don't have any friends.
00:35:18.260 My mom and dad were drug users.
00:35:20.180 I was born here in this area of the neighborhood.
00:35:23.360 Tommy up the street was born rich.
00:35:25.580 So, so what?
00:35:27.100 So fucking what?
00:35:28.200 So you're going to lose your fucking one chance at having a great life because of all
00:35:33.380 these other situations?
00:35:34.460 That is the dumbest shit that I've ever fucking heard in my entire life.
00:35:39.160 Real talk.
00:35:39.800 It's the dumbest shit.
00:35:40.920 Getting back to this guy, bro, listen, man, I want you to win, but for you to win, you're
00:35:45.960 going to have to realize that it's up to you and you're going to have to realize that it
00:35:49.120 ain't going to be easy and you're going to have to realize to complete 75 hard and build
00:35:53.180 the life that you want.
00:35:54.100 It's going to require you to do a lot of hard shit that you don't feel like doing all the
00:35:58.600 time.
00:35:59.200 And that's what the program's about.
00:36:00.840 That's what live hard is about.
00:36:01.820 I'd highly encourage you to force your way through it because it will fucking, it's
00:36:07.640 built for people like that.
00:36:09.100 People will have an, that guy will have an epiphany and he will be like, holy shit, this
00:36:13.580 is how it works.
00:36:14.600 Because the magic of this program is you want to quit every fucking day and you have to
00:36:19.400 force it.
00:36:19.860 There's nobody that cruises through that does it the right way.
00:36:23.020 Okay.
00:36:24.360 So what was the rest of the question?
00:36:27.680 No, that was it.
00:36:28.320 Just talking about the accountability aspect.
00:36:29.860 Okay.
00:36:30.160 Yeah.
00:36:30.660 No, it doesn't matter.
00:36:32.020 No.
00:36:32.680 Okay.
00:36:33.120 If you have to rely on someone else to bring you accountability, then you ain't, you ain't
00:36:37.000 good enough yet.
00:36:38.040 You need to get way better than that, bro.
00:36:39.720 Or you're going to live a very fucking hard life.
00:36:42.560 It's like, does it feel good to have accountability?
00:36:44.660 Yeah, sure.
00:36:45.160 You listen, listen, but you can't expect it.
00:36:47.920 It's going back to the expectations that people have.
00:36:50.180 Listen, coaching is important.
00:36:51.540 Number one, your coach should be, have done what it is you're wanting to do, whether that's
00:37:01.300 build a business, whether that's fitness, whatever, right?
00:37:04.540 It's okay to have a coach.
00:37:09.420 It's okay to be accountable to people.
00:37:11.640 However, if you always have to be accountable to people, you're not going to have as much
00:37:17.360 success as you could have if you were always accountable to yourself, which is what this
00:37:21.860 program fucking fixes.
00:37:23.240 It fixes your ability to be accountable.
00:37:25.740 It fixes your ability to adhere.
00:37:27.800 And when you fix those two, what can't you achieve?
00:37:32.300 If you knew that you could follow through on any plan that you set out for your life
00:37:36.820 in any area, whether it be your career, whether it be your fitness, whether it be your family
00:37:41.720 or any other area, if you knew that all you had to do was make a fucking plan and you had
00:37:48.940 the discipline and the mental toughness and the grit and the fortitude and the ability
00:37:53.440 to persevere and the confidence to follow through on that plan, what plans would you
00:37:58.860 make for yourself?
00:37:59.940 Because if we fix ourselves at that point, then everything's on the table as a possibility
00:38:05.760 for ourselves.
00:38:07.000 If we can follow the plan, we can get where we want to go.
00:38:11.160 So if you could just fix your ability to follow the plan, you get to choose whatever the fuck
00:38:16.020 you want out of your entire life.
00:38:17.760 That's the point.
00:38:19.220 I love it.
00:38:20.720 Love it, guys.
00:38:22.400 And that was three.
00:38:23.440 Yep.
00:38:24.540 Go pay a fee.
00:38:26.400 Went from sleeping on the floor.
00:38:28.300 Now my jewelry box froze.
00:38:30.000 Fuck a pole.
00:38:30.800 Fuck a stove.
00:38:31.660 Counted millions in the cold.
00:38:33.340 Bad bitch.
00:38:34.180 Booty swole.
00:38:35.000 Got her on bankroll.
00:38:36.640 Can't fold.
00:38:37.520 Doesn't know.
00:38:38.320 Headshot.
00:38:39.160 Case closed.
00:38:39.840 Close.
