00:00:00.000 What is up guys? It's Andy Purcell and this is the show for the realists. Say goodbye
00:00:20.760 to the lies, the fakeness, and delusions of modern society. And welcome to motherfucking
00:00:24.280 reality. Guys, today we have Q and AF. That's where you submit the questions and we give
00:00:29.600 you the answers. Now you can submit your questions to be answered on the show a few different
00:00:33.360 ways. First way is, guys, you can email these questions into askandy at andyfricella.com
00:00:38.540 or you go on YouTube, drop your question in the comments on the Q and AF episodes. We
00:00:42.680 will answer some from there as well. Throughout the week, we're going to have shows within
00:00:47.700 the show. Tomorrow, we're going to have cruise the internet. We call that CTI. That's where
00:00:51.620 we put topics on the screen. We speculate on what's true and what's not true. And then we
00:00:55.220 talk about how we, the people that solve these problems going on in the world. Other times
00:00:59.260 we're going to have real talk. Real talk is just five to 20 minutes of me giving you some
00:01:03.620 real talk that I think everybody needs to hear. And then we're going to have 75 hard
00:01:07.900 verses. 75 hard verses is where someone who has completed the 75 hard program comes on
00:01:14.220 the show. They talk about how they were before, how they are now, and how they use the 75 hard
00:01:19.180 program to reclaim their life. If you're unfamiliar with 75 hard, it is the introductory phase of the
00:01:24.380 live hard program. The live hard program is the world's most popular mental transformation program
00:01:30.420 ever. And it's free. All right. You get an episode 208 on the audio fee. That's 208 on the audio fee.
00:01:38.780 Give the entire live hard program for free. Now, if you want to know the ins and outs,
00:01:44.740 if you want to know all the sauce, you can buy the book. There's a book available,
00:01:49.780 Andy for seller.com. It's not necessary. All right. If you want to do the program for free
00:01:54.520 and get it at episode 208, but if you want to know all the details, you get the book. All right.
00:01:59.740 The book is called the book on mental toughness. It's available at Andy for seller.com. It goes
00:02:03.800 through the entire live hard program. It goes through a whole bunch of chapters on mental
00:02:08.220 toughness, a whole bunch of case studies on people who have used mental toughness to transform
00:02:12.800 their existence and how you can do the same. Now, something that we do different on the show real
00:02:17.740 quick is we don't run ads on the show. Okay. And the reason we don't run ads on the show is because
00:02:23.120 I don't want advertisers telling me what I can and can't say. We keep it real here. So I financed
00:02:27.900 the show out of my own pocket. We are definitely the biggest show in the world that doesn't run ads.
00:02:32.620 And I just simply make a deal with you. And the deal is this. All right. If the show is good,
00:02:37.920 if it makes you laugh, it makes you think, if it gives you a new perspective, if it helps you.
00:02:42.300 All right. And this one always does because we're going to get off
00:02:45.180 to an awesome week with some good knowledge. I need you to share the show for us. All right.
00:02:50.160 We're constantly dealing with shadow bans, traffic throttling, censorship issues still.
00:02:56.260 So I need you to help share the show. All right. So don't be a hoe. Share the show. All right.
00:03:01.780 What's up, dude? What's Gucci gang? Nothing, man. Yeah. So you look nice.
00:03:05.560 Oh, thanks, man. You look nice. What me? Yeah. This whole thing.
00:03:09.060 What's going on? How was your weekend? Fucking cold. Yeah, dude. Yeah. I forgot that it was
00:03:16.320 supposed to snow. I didn't think it was going to. I had no idea about it at all, bro. I haven't been
00:03:21.160 doing, you know, any outdoor cardio for probably, I don't know, a couple months.
00:03:25.820 I went outside and I was like, fuck, this is cold. And then I was like, oh, man, I got to start going
00:03:36.160 outside again. You got to do it. Yeah. Because I'm starting to get soft, bro. I can feel it.
00:03:40.780 Yeah, dude. It's different. It's fucking different. Yeah. I got it. I do. I was like, I was like,
00:03:47.240 I caught myself like running from the garage to my house and I'm like, fuck, dude. Doing the
00:03:51.660 oh shit skirt. You're turning into a bitch. Yeah. So I got to, I got to get back on that
00:03:56.920 outdoor. Yeah. I'm going to start a, you know, I'm going to start 75 hard on the first with
00:04:01.420 everybody. Cause I know there's always, you know, thousands and thousands and thousands
00:04:06.120 of people that start on the first, but, uh, I think I'm going to get a good 30 day run
00:04:09.620 going up. So that way, you know, I got some momentum. Yeah. I live that way anyway, for the
00:04:14.960 most part, I just haven't done the outdoor cardio in a while. Yeah. It's been a minute, man.
00:04:19.080 Well, I mean, shit, the wind is definitely a good time to get hard. Yeah. Especially
00:04:22.640 here, man. Yeah. Um, but yeah, it's Monday, man. It's not a good time to get what, huh?
00:04:27.580 Huh? Nothing. I was trying to keep the show G rated. Oh, gotcha. Yeah. Gotcha. Yep. Um,
00:04:34.320 guys, it's Monday. Let's, uh, let's, uh, let's get into these, man. I got three good ones
00:04:38.880 for you guys. Andy question number one. This is actually a great, uh, great question going
00:04:43.460 right off the convo. Uh, hi Andy. Uh, I was curious if you've ever gone through a final
00:04:49.980 test phase prior to reaching big milestones in your life, such as a giant windfall of money
00:04:56.920 or a nice car, et cetera. I personally call this the final test as you're not being only
00:05:03.820 tested in a few areas of life, like, uh, only money or health or personal life car issues.
00:05:08.960 This test is all encompassing everything going wrong in your life at, uh, at the same
00:05:13.800 time, money problems, personal problems, health problems, people, problems, car problems, life
00:05:18.340 testing your patients to the absolute extreme while enduring the lack of money to pay bills
00:05:23.700 and cars and repairs and all of that good stuff. I'm personally enduring this right now, all
00:05:28.740 at the same time. And I'm aware that I can't give up in this phase. I'm running with the zero
00:05:34.440 options mentality. You talk about all in or nothing. I was genuinely curious.
00:05:38.960 If you've gone through this type of all encompassing tests and what you did to personally
00:05:44.100 overcome it, I love the show. You and DJ crush every day. Um, thanks for keeping it real as fuck
00:05:49.500 out there. So big, big milestones with a massive test right before it. Well, first of all, how do
00:05:56.020 you know a big milestones coming? You don't ever know. So you don't know if the test is right before
00:06:01.040 it, but there is sayings that have been around for thousands of years. One of them being, it is
00:06:07.940 always darkest before the dawn. Everybody knows that everybody's heard that. And I think most
00:06:14.200 people have experienced it. So the chances of a big breakthrough or a big milestone are
00:06:22.040 in the favor of when you were being tested most that you're going to come through. Now,
00:06:25.900 I don't know if that's because the universe lines it up that way, or if it just feels that
00:06:31.200 way because you're going through so much hard stuff that when something goes right, it feels
00:06:36.340 really good. Right. You know what I'm saying? So, you know, to answer your question, dude,
00:06:41.420 yes, everybody goes through this. Okay. It is not just you. These hard times, these times
00:06:47.640 where you're struggling, these times when you're angry, these times when you're frustrated,
00:06:51.800 these are not exclusive to you. And people who think they're exclusive to them suffer from a
00:06:58.680 massive arrogance problem. They believe that they are the only person that suffers, the only person
00:07:05.860 that has hardship, the only person that has to push through. When in reality, every single achiever
00:07:12.180 that's ever existed, every single thing that's ever been built has been built by somebody who's gone
00:07:18.700 through this process of everything going wrong at some point. And we can look through history at all
00:07:25.420 the amazing people who have done the most amazing things. And right before they did this amazing thing
00:07:31.860 that you know them for, they went through some really hard shit. Okay. So the first thing we got to
00:07:37.540 understand is that you are not the center of the universe. You will go through these tests. These tests
00:07:45.280 will not just come at one point in your life. They will come over and over and over and over again.
00:07:51.820 And after you've matured and been through them enough, you don't panic anymore. Okay. And what you can
00:07:58.300 do is to train yourself to become someone who relishes being in the hard shit because you understand that
00:08:08.080 everybody else quits when things get hard. When things get hard, it is simply this one foot in
00:08:15.280 front of another, in front of another, in front of another. Okay. That is the only way to keep moving
00:08:21.160 forward. It's the only way to continue to progress when things are hard. And it's very simple, but people
00:08:28.100 don't like simple people like extreme and fun and exciting and these instant gratification, you know,
00:08:37.100 situations and dude, life is just not like that. Okay. Life is hard. Success is hard. Business is hard.
00:08:46.080 Being married is hard. Having a family is hard. Doing anything that anybody would admire is hard.
00:08:51.960 Okay. And when things get the hardest, that is the most important time where you have to continue
00:08:57.460 to move forward, putting one foot down in front of another. This is why it's so important to make
00:09:03.360 investments in your mental toughness and your grit and your fortitude and your ability to persevere
00:09:09.980 and your ability to stay disciplined because conditions will never be perfect. Okay. When we talk
00:09:16.840 about it being freezing cold outside and I'm talking about how I know that I need to go get acclimated to
00:09:23.520 that because I can feel myself getting soft. That is me recognizing that my mental fortitude is
00:09:29.500 getting rounded off when it needs to be very sharp. Okay. So we have to become aware of where we are
00:09:36.800 mentally and we have to make investments to harden ourselves mentally so that we can prepare for these
00:09:43.660 hard times that come over and over and over and over again. One phase that you are experiencing right
00:09:50.420 now would normally crush a human being. Okay. You're going through this process. Things get hard.
00:09:57.660 Everything in your life seems fucked. Most people quit the first time that happens. Most people look
00:10:03.920 themselves in the mirror and say, Oh, well, I guess that's not for me. I'm going to go just do what
00:10:09.140 everybody else does. And then they quit. Okay. And what you have to realize is that if you could build
00:10:14.680 yourself into someone who can work through these things as they come, there's really nothing that can
00:10:20.400 stop you. And the longer you go through them and the more you go through them, the less and less
00:10:25.100 competition there is to the thing that you do. So work on your mental focus on keeping your mentality
00:10:33.840 and your mental toughness sharp, recognize when it gets soft and recognize the importance and the
00:10:40.100 reality of the path that you are on. If you were on a mediocre path and you just wanted to be a regular
00:10:46.600 human, these tests are going to come anyway. They're just going to come disguised as other
00:10:51.080 things. Okay. They're going to look different. They're going to feel different. You're not going
00:10:54.760 to be able to pay your electric bill. You're not going to be able to eat at the places you want.
00:10:59.500 Your ability to attract a mate is going to be incredibly diminished. Okay. You're going to end up
00:11:04.980 with someone you don't really want to be with. You're going to drive something you don't really want
00:11:08.300 to drive. You're going to be embarrassed of what you did in your life. Those are fucking hard things to
00:11:13.300 deal with. Okay. But if you're going to be an achiever, you're going to deal with different
00:11:16.820 shit. You're going to deal with people laughing at you. You're going to deal with people not
00:11:19.680 believing in you. You're going to deal with people trying to tear you down. You're going to deal with
00:11:23.540 people who, you know, are situations that are just uncomfortable in different ways. All right. So
00:11:30.080 we all go through this. It looks different for everybody, but the bottom line is if we prepare
00:11:36.520 ourselves to go through these things and we expect these things to happen and we know what to do as they
00:11:41.560 come, you end up winning because everybody else can't make it through. Okay. That's, that's what
00:11:46.920 this comes down to. It's very simple. I love it, man. Let me ask you this. Cause I feel like this
00:11:50.500 is something I've done personally, um, where, and I just want to get your opinion on it. Like,
00:11:55.680 is this a healthy way I guess to manage that stuff is that I've always just told myself,
00:12:00.080 well, you know what? It could be worse. It could be worse. And maybe like, I don't know,
00:12:03.800 like does that diminish the, like all of the benefits that you can get from going through the
00:12:09.140 hardship. If you try to diminish how hard it is. No, when things are very hard, there is a very
00:12:15.300 real truth to the fact that they could be way fucking harder. Okay. And most of the people in
00:12:22.240 our country, the United States, you know, there's people listen all over the world. Most of the
00:12:26.780 people here have never really been through anything hard. Okay. They've been through the normal life
00:12:31.240 shit of hard, right? Someone dies, someone gets sick, these kinds of things, but their day to day
00:12:37.180 hard is fucking luxurious compared to someone who comes from, you know, some third world place.
00:12:44.820 So lacking the perspective of understanding what is truly hard actually makes your life feel much
00:12:52.020 harder. All right. So when we can have the proper perspective about what's actually hard and we can
00:12:58.540 remind ourselves that things could be way worse. And the fact is most people have them way worse
00:13:04.180 that can get us in a place of gratitude. And when we get into a place of gratitude,
00:13:08.640 it makes it easier. And we can think more clearly about what we need to move forward. Because most
00:13:14.520 people, when they get in that situation of being frustrated, they're there, they panic and they get
00:13:20.140 frazzled and they can't focus and they don't know what to do. So they do nothing. And that just makes
00:13:24.960 the situation worse. So I definitely think there's a lot of value to reminding yourself that no matter how
00:13:31.180 dark shit is, it could be a lot fucking darker. Yeah. 100% man. Uh, love it, man. Guys, Andy,
00:13:37.660 question number two, uh, Andy, I just got bent over with no lube in business. Okay. It happens.
00:13:47.640 I like that. He put the collar. There's a comment that you gotta have. That's very, very important
00:13:51.320 punctuation. Um, he says, I had a business relationship that I've been working on, uh, for the last year and a
00:13:57.440 half. I depend on this company as part of my supply chain for my business. Well, they just cut
00:14:03.720 themselves out, uh, without warning, without consideration. And I feel completely lost and
00:14:09.000 out of control. How have you handled being bent over with no lube in the past versus how you handle
00:14:15.780 that stuff? Now, I feel like I might go to jail if I go with my first mind. Yeah, you might. Uh,
00:14:21.780 I don't know what that, I know what that feels like, bro. You know, when someone really fucks with
00:14:25.960 your livelihood, that's serious shit. And you know, I think people forget that. I think people
00:14:31.820 forget because of the internet when they fuck with people's livelihood, what they're really doing to
00:14:35.640 people and where they're really putting them. Okay. So, uh, I can understand that feeling because
00:14:40.240 I've had a lot of people fuck with me along the way. Um, so I get that. Don't do that though.
00:14:46.480 Uh, the best way to win is to keep moving forward and smile on everybody's face and be like,
00:14:50.780 fuck you. You know, you ain't stopping me. So, uh, back to the question.
00:14:55.960 How do we handle these situations when things happen that are out of our control? Well,
00:15:02.320 you have to understand that when you are a little fish in a big pond, you're not going to get the
00:15:07.820 respect from the bigger companies that other people get. Okay. If that company that you're
00:15:12.660 doing business with had seven other customers and they're all as big as you and they're all growing,
00:15:17.660 and then that company doesn't have the capacity to do more business, uh, for those people,
00:15:22.960 they're going to cut ties with the little ones so that they can expand their ability to service the
00:15:28.040 ones that are bigger. And that sounds like that's where you're at. I can't imagine someone pulling
00:15:32.140 their business from you or a vendor pulling their business from you unless they either a went out of
00:15:36.880 business or B had to expand their ability to service someone bigger than you. And that's normal
00:15:42.800 when you're small, you ask, what is that? What happens whenever you get bigger? That doesn't happen
00:15:46.720 when you get bigger because you become such a big part of these vendors business that they bet they
00:15:51.020 bend over backwards. Okay. Um, so they don't have the ability to really fuck you. You hold all the
00:15:55.800 cards, the bigger you get. And your job is to go from where you are to where that place is, right?
00:16:01.640 You want to go from the guy who's not getting the respect, uh, to the person that's getting all the
00:16:06.300 respect and your business is secured. How do you do that? Well, you got to get creative. You're not
00:16:11.060 facing anything that any, that anybody else who's ever built anything, uh, hasn't had to face.
00:16:15.780 Okay. So how can you succeed without these people? What are the alternatives? Who can I work with?
00:16:22.620 Besides that, is there an opportunity for me to bring that in house so this can never happen again?
00:16:27.680 How can I ensure that my business is never compromised by someone else's decisions ever
00:16:35.920 again? And this is why in the companies that I'm involved in, we're constantly working towards
00:16:40.960 vertical integration. We are constantly working towards bringing everything within our control
00:16:45.260 simply for that reason that you mentioned. I don't want to have anybody else be in charge of
00:16:51.240 the destiny or the outcome of our business. Okay. But when you're a little guy and you don't have
00:16:56.180 the capital, that's just the reality. So what you have to do is you've got to go out,
00:17:00.280 build relationships, find companies that may be in the same position that you're in. Maybe they're a
00:17:04.940 little smaller. Maybe they're a little hungrier. Maybe they'll do more for you because they are
00:17:09.280 hungrier. In fact, I know they will, cause that's how it works. Um, and, and start working there.
00:17:14.220 Okay. But this is, this is normal. This is reality. When you're little, you get no respect.
00:17:18.580 When you're big, you hold all the cards. Um, and that, that really never ends.
00:17:23.460 Yeah. I want to say this because I want to preface this question with this. Um, you know,
00:17:28.800 I've been, been, uh, grateful enough to be around you for the last five years. And I think
00:17:33.240 what I, probably my most admirable piece of you, Andy, is that you're very, you're an ethical
00:17:38.020 businessman. Right. And I've been able to see, see that like very, very clearly. Right. And all
00:17:43.520 your companies is very ethical. And it's something that I've always like, it's, it's always been kind
00:17:48.120 of puzzling to me because, you know, you have an entrepreneurship in business. There's a saying,
00:17:52.700 well, that's just business. Right. And so it's like, how, how do you kind of like, I guess,
00:17:57.840 differentiate something that that's just business versus somebody truly being unethical.
00:18:03.680 So, well, I think, listen, I think when we're younger and we're smaller, it's easy for us to
00:18:09.460 like, if you were, like, if I was in that position, which by the way, I've been in that
00:18:12.840 position, I've been in a position before where I was working with a company who decided that they
00:18:17.220 were going to work with someone else. And then I was left holding the bag. Okay. That's happened
00:18:21.080 many times. A lot of times. In fact, every time that it's happened, I took it personally
00:18:28.380 because it is personal to me. This is my livelihood. This is our people's livelihood.
00:18:33.440 Okay. But it's actually not a personal thing. Okay. So you have to know, and you have to be able
00:18:40.600 to really, truly separate what's personal and what's business. Okay. Business is business. And
00:18:49.680 that means it's not going to always go the way you want. You're not going to always get what you
00:18:53.880 want. Some people are going to have different goals, but to all of this, I would say to your
00:18:59.140 ethical question, the reason that it's important to always do the right thing and have respect for
00:19:05.500 people, regardless of what happens is because this game is so fucking long. You never know
00:19:10.920 who you're going to have to work with in the future. If you burn a bridge now, that same guy
00:19:16.180 might come back in three years and fucking stomp on your throat. Okay. Because that business is
00:19:21.420 always evolving. People are always moving their chess pieces. And sometimes that guy who you got
00:19:27.560 pissed off at, maybe he's in a crunch and he cut you out because he was in a crunch. And then maybe
00:19:32.880 he gets his pieces moved in the right way and he calls you back and he says, DJ, I got a great
00:19:37.820 opportunity, bro. I know it didn't work out here, but like, what about this? Okay. So we can't burn
00:19:42.860 bridges because the game is so long. We don't know what bridge we're going to have to cross
00:19:47.400 and doing things ethically. Also important because when you do good things and you do them
00:19:53.060 with the proper intent, the universe and God rewards that back to you. So if you're doing
00:19:58.200 things with the wrong intent, are you doing things with bad intent or you're being manipulative or
00:20:03.320 you're lying or you're cheating or you're stealing or you're doing whatever, you're going to get that
00:20:08.020 back a hundred fold eventually somewhere along the line. So it's very important that you understand
00:20:14.180 that what you put out is what you're going to get. This is why all you hater motherfuckers never
00:20:18.800 fucking win. Okay. You cannot control your own ego to understand that there's plenty, plenty of room
00:20:25.940 for everybody to win. And you see someone win, you see them grow their business. You see them
00:20:31.100 drive a car, bro. I see this every day. I post my life. People are like, Oh fuck. You don't want to
00:20:36.100 see that. Well, you know what? There's lots of young kids that are inspired by my lifestyle that
00:20:41.320 I've created for fucking 25 years that I have a duty to show them so that they can understand that
00:20:47.100 there is a prize on the other end of that fucking struggle. Okay. But you are so fucking stupid.
00:20:53.120 You can't understand that when you hate on that, you're telling the universe, I don't like winning.
00:20:58.820 I don't like winning because every time I see someone else win, I don't like it. Okay. And what do
00:21:04.340 you think the universe gives you? It gives you exactly what you're asking for, which is not winning.
00:21:09.120 All right. So all you hater dumbasses out there, you need to understand this because dude, you're,
00:21:16.240 you're the one stomping on your own dick. You don't realize that. So when you see someone win,
00:21:22.140 you should be happy. If you're not happy, you should figure out how to be happy. You should
00:21:26.260 stop yourself when you feel that little jealous, uh, tingle on the inside and be like, Oh no,
00:21:31.720 that ain't right, dude. Good. If he did it, I can do it and I can do it better. Right? That's how the
00:21:36.520 attitude should be. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I was just thinking about the, the ethical, you know,
00:21:40.700 is this just business part? Because like, it just, it just made me click like the, the guy
00:21:44.840 that left him. Maybe he's just looking out for his people, right? Like his company has
00:21:48.940 to grow. Like, I feel like that's a perspective people lack. I think that's highly likely.
00:21:52.900 You know, I think that's highly likely. I don't think it's a personal thing, bro. If you,
00:21:56.700 if it was personal, you know, you know, when people don't like you personally, right? You know,
00:22:01.500 most of you guys, you guys think you really got haters. You don't fucking have any haters,
00:22:05.460 bro. You don't, you never had the internet come after you. You never been on fucking MSM or,
00:22:10.440 you know, news stations across the country. I've been on that shit plenty of times. Okay.
00:22:15.120 There's a big difference between hate and you imagining hate. Yeah. Right. Okay. You know,
00:22:19.860 and what most people do is they set themselves up in this mind frame of if I do this, then so-and-so
00:22:28.080 is going to think this, and then somebody else is going to think this, and then somebody else is
00:22:32.280 going to think that. And what we do is we imagine all these worst case scenarios, but we can't put
00:22:38.160 a name on who's going to think what. And what does that mean? It actually means that we are our own
00:22:45.140 biggest haters. So we're the ones hating on ourselves and keeping ourselves from taking action
00:22:50.840 because of the things that we think may happen, which likely never do happen. So, uh, get out of
00:22:57.700 your own fucking way. I love it, man. I love it guys. Andy, our third and final question. Uh,
00:23:05.620 Andy, how do you balance delayed gratification and enjoying life more now? Uh, I am 26 years old.
00:23:16.840 Uh, I am working a full-time job on the nights and weekends. I am collaborating with a longtime friend,
00:23:22.420 uh, with his growing small business. Uh, with his growing small business. I'm also working with my
00:23:26.200 brother on his small business. The point is I'm doing well. I live in a small apartment and drive
00:23:31.300 an 11 year old compact car. I could upgrade my lifestyle, but I am too driven and want to spend
00:23:37.240 that extra money on some business ideas. How do you convince yourself to let go of the instant
00:23:43.020 pleasures to achieve something far greater in the future? Uh, my advice to anybody is to live below
00:23:51.780 your means for as long as you possibly can until you can invest the proper amount of money to where
00:23:58.660 the return that you're looking for longterm is going to be reflective of the lifestyle that you're
00:24:03.600 looking to build. So you have to not be influenced by the culture and you have to look at yourself and
00:24:11.840 say, okay, what am I trying to achieve here? I'm trying to achieve this lifestyle. I am here
00:24:18.840 currently. I can afford a new BMW and I can afford a condo. Should I get the condo and the BMW or should
00:24:27.140 I take the money and put it into the business? Well, the answer is what do you want on the other end of
00:24:32.780 it? Okay. Because the longer that you can maintain living small and invest your cash back into your
00:24:38.720 business, the bigger, the backend rewards going to be. Now we talk in here about my story a lot.
00:24:44.520 We talk about how the first 10 years I made $58,380 for 10 years, not a year that's cumulative
00:24:51.960 for 10 years. But what people don't realize is that by the year 2006, we were making money and we were
00:24:59.440 investing it in our business. And we were taking all the money, even though we could have afforded to pay
00:25:04.360 ourselves for the next four or five years and pouring it directly into the business so that we
00:25:09.580 could get the end result where we wanted it to be. And once that engine was built by that investment
00:25:15.480 and we had it running, now we were able to, you know, take a little bit of here, take a little bit
00:25:20.740 there. We're also along the way to, along the way, we were able to figure out ways to make personal
00:25:27.000 income that didn't affect the business. Okay. So it all depends on where do you want to be in 20
00:25:33.440 years? Do you want to be the guy who is 26 years old, driving a fucking, uh, an S class thinking
00:25:41.500 you're the shit or an old fucking Bentley or a fucking old Lamborghini? Or do you want to be
00:25:47.520 the guy when you're 40 that is flying on a jet and going on a yacht and buying whatever fucking Bugatti
00:25:53.320 he decides he wants to buy? You know what I'm saying? What do you want? Okay. Because I could tell
00:25:58.040 you this, that 26 year old guy, by the time you're 40, that guy's going to be broke and no one's going
00:26:03.460 to remember. And what they are going to remember is how douchebag he was trying to pretend like he
00:26:07.720 was the shit when he wasn't the shit. And look at him now. Exactly. And the last thing you want to
00:26:12.300 do is embarrass yourself with, with that kind of shit. So let's be real about it. Yes, you can reward
00:26:20.180 yourself. You sure can, but it is going to cost you. What's that cost worth? All right. And that's how I
00:26:25.940 would, that's how I would, how I would evaluate that. Now, what I also think is that it's important
00:26:32.600 to taste success. Sometimes I think it's important to reward yourself and show yourself that you're
00:26:38.860 doing things along the right way. But most people do that way too much. And, uh, it ends up costing
00:26:44.660 them. You know what I mean? So like, you know, it's, it's, there's nuance there. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
00:26:51.320 My dad told me one time I asked him, I was going to, I was going to get a, uh, seven 50 BMW.
00:26:57.360 This was back. Like when I thought, sweet, huh? Those are sweet. Oh fuck. Yeah. The big body
00:27:02.020 beamers. I always liked them. Yeah. And, um, this is back. I don't know. I didn't even know when this
00:27:07.620 was. I mean, fucking 15 years ago at least. And I said, how do you, he, I asked him a similar
00:27:14.120 question. I said, how do you know when, when you, and he, his answer was, you'll know, you'll
00:27:19.680 know, you know, which I don't know what the fuck that meant. You know, I feel like my answer
00:27:24.980 is better. You know, now, you know, I think, uh, I think, I think it just comes down. And
00:27:30.740 then also, you know, like, bro, you know, we only have limited time, so we have to run
00:27:37.120 that balance very carefully. You know what I mean? Like Kobe situation. Yeah, for sure. You
00:27:41.960 know, Kobe works his balls off for fucking 40 years, decides he's going to start spending time
00:27:47.800 with his family and dies. And it doesn't always work out the way we want. So like when you pour
00:27:52.140 yourself into, uh, an ambitious lifestyle, into big dreams, big goals, you have to understand
00:27:58.280 that it's very possible. You could run out of time. Okay. It's very possible. It's a bet we make,
00:28:03.320 it's a gamble we make, but it's, it's the gamble required if you're going to do anything relevant.
00:28:08.460 So there's no way around that. That's a bet you're going to have to make.
00:28:11.780 Fuck dude. You could get run over walking across the street today. Who knows? Um, but
00:28:16.920 if you want to be successful and you want to build big shit and you want to do something
00:28:21.940 that's going to take care of you financially and take care of your family financially and
00:28:25.200 give you ultimate freedom to do whatever you want at any time, um, you need to delay gratification
00:28:31.940 for as long as possible. That's the truth. The richest motherfucker in the world. Well, not
00:28:37.360 the richest, but one of the richest, I dude, Elon Musk doesn't fucking own a whole bunch
00:28:41.580 of shit. No.
00:28:42.500 He flies around in a plane, stays in hotels and shit. Okay. Uh, who, who else is known
00:28:47.800 for that? Oh, Warren Buffett. He lives in the same house he's lived in for fucking 60 years,
00:28:52.420 dude. You see what I'm saying? Like worth billions.
00:28:55.500 Yes, bro. These people just, it becomes, it doesn't become a game of accumulation of
00:29:01.160 shit. It becomes winning. Who's the winner. And that's what's going to come for you too.
00:29:06.180 So like, you know, you may have a passion, dude. Maybe your passion, you know, is watches
00:29:11.080 or cars or whatever. I like watches and I like cars. Those are two things I like, you know,
00:29:15.640 I, I like winning better than that though. You know what I'm saying? Like I've gone through
00:29:20.740 those phases. Um, young Dolph has a lyric in one of his songs. He goes, I got tired of
00:29:27.160 watches. I started buying cars. I got tired of cars. I started buying property. All right.
00:29:31.820 So what he's talking about there is the natural progression of a entrepreneur and these little
00:29:38.200 fucking trinkets and collection and toys. Eventually they lose their, their coolness.
00:29:43.340 Now I am deeply passionate about cars, but I haven't bought a watch in fucking five, six
00:29:49.260 years. I don't give a fuck. In fact, I, I, I really don't ever wear one anymore. I don't
00:29:54.640 even wear one unless I wear a suit. So, uh, and I got a nice watch collection. Okay. And
00:30:00.140 worth millions of dollars, but like, I don't care. You know what I'm saying? It's not cool
00:30:05.480 to me anymore. And the cars, I mean, fuck dude, I got some cars coming, but I haven't bought
00:30:09.560 a new car in a couple of years. You know, I drive the cool shit I got. You know what
00:30:13.600 fucking, you know what I like? I like winning. I like reinvesting my money. I like knowing
00:30:18.240 that I come in here every day and I don't even take a paycheck and I help these motherfuckers
00:30:22.880 grow this shit so we can win. I fucking love that. It makes me happy. So, uh, but I'm in
00:30:28.440 a different position. I've been doing this 25 years. I've been doing it since I was a young
00:30:31.520 kid. So every single person that I have ever heard of ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,
00:30:39.560 that has built something amazing, delay gratification for as long as possible. And also was very
00:30:46.060 fucking tired. Okay. We have people talking about how tired they are. I told him I'm tired.
00:30:51.880 I'm tired. I'm tired. No shit. That's a prerequisite to success. Every single thing that has ever
00:30:58.220 been built, every single accomplishment that's ever been accomplished. Every single thing that
00:31:02.920 is worth mentioning in the history of fucking earth was built by people who were tired. Every
00:31:09.060 single thing. Okay. So you getting on the internet and crying about how fucking tired you are or
00:31:14.280 saying I'm tired. Good. You're supposed to be tired. Can you execute when you're tired?
00:31:19.440 That's the question that you need to be answering. So, you know, delay gratification, discipline
00:31:26.780 over motivation, a hundred percent of the time, those two things will get you very far falling
00:31:31.940 into the trap of instant gratification. Cause you watch all these dorks on the internet who don't
00:31:36.000 have shit talk about how much money they have when they're all clearly lying. Um, that's
00:31:42.080 going to get you right where, where everybody else is, which is here today, gone tomorrow.
00:31:46.180 You want to build something great, take all the money you make, pour it back in, do that
00:31:51.240 over and over and over again until you got the engine built. When the engine starts building,
00:31:54.800 if you want to continue to pour money in, you can, um, but you don't have to.
00:31:59.900 So I love it, man. I love it guys. It's a hell of a way to start a Monday, man. Let's get
00:32:04.760 to it. All right, guys, we'll see you for CTI tomorrow.
00:32:08.600 We'll see you next time.
