00:07:39.980 of what you have to do in order to work with me. And then you need to sit down with each
00:07:48.320 of the people around you and you have to say now, are these people you have employees? Is

00:08:04.940 my friends. Okay. So you, why? Yeah. Based on like the capital that I have, I, it's more
00:08:14.060 grassroots. So I don't, I rely on certain people that's been helping me through the years, but I
00:08:20.360 need, it's not sufficient enough really for me to keep continuing to grow at a level that I wish
00:08:25.480 to grow at. And these people are doing this for free. Um, I'm sorry. These people are doing,
00:08:31.840 helping you for free. Yes. Okay. Well, not for free. I mean, there's, there's perks to it. We do
00:08:39.280 cross, um, cross, um, promotion of each other's businesses and there's lots and lots of free cigars
00:08:47.080 involved in it. I mean, it's, I mean, it sounds probably lame, but they're not cheap. So there's
00:08:52.860 lots of exposure in the community for their businesses. And you know, when we host these
00:08:57.480 events, um, there's, you know, they get the perks out of it. Okay. So look, people are only going to
00:09:05.220 do so much for cigars. All right. Yeah. Yeah. And if you want to be around people that hold the same
00:09:13.540 standard as you, you are going to have to one live that standard. Okay. Two, when you get employees
00:09:22.940 to help you, you need to make the expectations very clear on a document, have them sign it,
00:09:28.880 go with each point with them that helps keeps the expectations clear, moving forward. Um, and that's
00:09:35.800 where I was going with that. But you're talking about something completely different, which is
00:09:40.500 you're trying to figure out how your peer network group, how to get them to perform at a higher
00:09:47.180 level. And that can only come from the inspiration that they feel on the inside. All right. There's no
00:09:56.480 speech that you could give someone. There's no hype up that you can give someone. There's no way to drag
00:10:03.300 them to be better. They have to want to be better. So if you want those people to get excited about
00:10:12.900 being better, you are going to have to expose them intentionally to what it looks like if they were to
00:10:23.880 run things at a higher level. All right. Because people have a very hard time visualizing and
00:10:31.840 understanding what they're capable of if they've never seen it before. So my advice, if these people
00:10:40.340 don't work for you would be to find a, a, a similar business slash organization that is doing the
00:10:54.380 things that you want to do at a high level, I would show it to them. And then I would say,
00:10:59.820 here's what we're trying to do. This is what we need to do. Here's what's possible. And you have
00:11:05.760 to assume the role of leadership over them without you ever having the title of quote unquote, the
00:11:13.720 leader. All right. It's just peer leadership. So yes, you have, you have to get good at showing them
00:11:21.900 and communicating to them all the time. What they could become if they did these things.
00:11:30.800 Some of these people aren't going to do shit. Okay. Because if they were, they'd already be doing
00:11:36.000 it. And I don't want you to spend a lot of time trying to pull people down the tracks that are going
00:11:43.080 to be comfortable. If these people are older, if they're, you know, uh, quite honestly, if they're
00:11:50.940 older, they're usually have accepted their place in life. It's very hard to take someone who's over
00:11:57.960 the age of 40 years old and inspire them to become more because by the time they are 40, they've
00:12:05.380 already accepted where they are in life for the most part. And so they're not going to work very much
00:12:10.340 harder. They're not going to believe that they can become all these things because they're going
00:12:15.040 to believe falsely, by the way, that they can't do these things because they don't have enough time.
00:12:21.200 So you're battling a lot of challenges here. They're not your employees. They're not your actual
00:12:26.920 team. Um, it sounds like they might be a little bit older. Uh, I mean, there's a, there's a lot of
00:12:35.680 things you're battling here and I can appreciate the fact that you want better for them.
00:12:39.520 But at the end of the day, you don't want to waste the time that you have trying to drag people that
00:12:44.680 are never going to want to be better to be better. What you need to worry about is how you're going
00:12:49.800 to be better. And if you become better and you elevate and you grow, those people will work to
00:12:56.960 keep up. At least some of them will. And, uh, and that's the best way that you could handle this.
00:13:02.980 If they're not your actual team. Um, the other thing is, is like you mentioned the trust aspect,
00:13:10.880 uh, you got to have boundaries. All right. And when people tell you things and then they don't do
00:13:17.740 things, you have to hold them accountable. You cannot just let them go without saying anything
00:13:25.660 because they made an agreement with you. And if they make agreements with you and they don't hold up
00:13:30.820 their end of the bargain and then there's no pain, not even a conversation, then what's the incentive
00:13:36.600 to uphold the agreement? There's zero. And you sound like a very nice person who probably doesn't
00:13:44.040 confront them on these things. Is that an accurate assumption?

00:14:21.040 level. So that's, I can't always get there by myself. So that's, I hear what you're saying.

00:15:13.460 it's a great feeling. And I am, I can commend your heart that you want these people to be
00:15:18.980 the people that are going to go with you, but they're not. And they're giving you every single
00:15:23.540 red flag that they're not. And you can't waste your life dragging people that are never going
00:15:28.700 to figure it out when you have bigger ambitions. And if you really care about them and you really
00:15:34.600 want them to become better, because I can hear it in your voice that you do, you've got
00:15:39.900 to go become better and then turn around and look at them and be like, look, let me help
00:15:43.500 you guys. So you can't wait for these guys. If you wait for them, you're all going to rot
