00:10:02.460 okay i have to be aware that if i continue to just sit there that other people are going to catch
00:10:09.940 and potentially pass up what i'm doing and one of the biggest things that i've seen really affect
00:10:14.900 people especially when it comes to owning their business being entrepreneurs etc is that they get
00:10:20.640 to a point where they're doing well and they feel comfortable and they get a little hesitant about
00:10:24.800 continuing down the path and while they get comfortable they stop paying attention and they get less
00:10:29.700 sharp they don't really understand what's going on and that's a potential for you to get beat

00:10:40.320 static environment the environment is always progressing it is always moving forward everybody
00:10:46.280 around you you have to assume is continuing to work and if you sit where you're at because it's

00:11:58.800 well why didn't you just push a little bit harder when you were at that edge and reinvent what you were
00:12:03.380 doing to like excel again and again and again and again instead of having to stop and say well maybe
00:12:08.440 i should do something completely different than being a plumber you know maybe i should now go into
00:12:12.000 uh building some kind of technology and you're like well that's going to take a long time to figure out

00:12:21.480 fucking do and never ending that push right until that destinations hit and whatever that is right

00:12:30.620 where your business goes but at least it gives you that that that runway to not have to reinvent
00:12:35.320 yourself because once you have like the first 20 million in your bank account 50 million whatever

00:14:30.220 really started uh becoming friends at the time i was making more money than than i'd ever made i was
00:14:37.100 making more money than all my friends by a lot all right and i got sick and i was sitting on the
00:14:45.100 couch for 17 days i had pneumonia and i was watching fucking tv and i'm looking at my phone
00:14:50.640 and i see my bank account going up and you know i'm winning and and and i'm like this sucks dude i

00:15:02.840 taught me was that i needed to expand my purpose outside of just myself to encompass my team okay

00:15:15.800 you when people get comfortable the reason that they end up feeling very empty is because they don't
00:15:21.600 expand their purpose as to what they're willing to take on responsibility wise which is what creates
00:15:27.220 that pressure for you to to drive and uh so if you're looking to regain that edge it's very simple

00:18:56.140 moving dynamics and sometimes you know like i'll have in my business i'll have a year where i have
00:19:00.700 like eight percent growth and i'm used to like 30 percent growth and i'll sit there and i'll be like thank god
00:19:04.900 and people are like what are you talking about we lost like 22 percent over last year i go we didn't
00:19:09.040 lose that we made money yeah and we grew eight percent i'm like okay there are people whose stock
00:19:14.880 went 50 down there's other people who laid off 10 000 people 30 000 people lost their companies

00:19:53.920 it's like maybe people customers have gotten used to what you do maybe they're growing at a smaller
00:19:58.420 rate you gotta like introduce something new do something and it challenges you as an owner to
00:20:02.900 like face this shit and be like wow maybe i have gotten lazy how did i get those first 10 fucking
00:20:07.400 growth years because i was constantly building shit telling people about promotions doing marketing
00:20:11.660 and now suddenly i'm like what's the metrics on facebook okay good like did we make some extra
00:20:16.220 money it's like i'll just sit back and like see how that works out right why you got the hungry guy
