00:02:08.320 today we're going to continue down the path of our young featuring young entrepreneurs i know a lot
00:02:14.860 of you guys are young um a lot of you guys a lot of our audience is between the ages of uh 17 and 25
00:02:21.280 26 years old um and we brought in a special entrepreneur all the way from canada uh his name
00:02:28.260 on instagram is mr goodlife otherwise known as farroque samad what's going on my man what's up andy
00:02:34.980 what's up vaughn tyler thank you for having me here yeah kelsey's here too but we're not really
00:02:39.120 paying yeah we took kelsey's mic away because she talks too much yeah so are you are you mr good
00:02:45.000 life or you farroque good life on instagram it's kind of both i'm starting both brands aside uh
00:02:50.460 originally mr good life and now my personal brand under farroque good life yeah yeah so i suppose we
00:02:55.960 should at some point yeah we'll mention that but yeah yeah but guys we wanted to bring them in um i
00:03:02.520 really enjoy as you guys know i enjoy talking about entrepreneurship at a young age um i think
00:03:08.700 it's important that people understand that you don't have to wait to get started you don't have
00:03:14.600 to wait for something to happen or somebody to come along and tell you that it's okay to start
00:03:19.680 and uh i've known farroque for for a while now he's helped me with my instagram uh following we're
00:03:25.960 going to talk about his business what he does um how he started and his story a little bit and
00:03:31.900 hopefully you guys could take away um some good points from him you know he's a young guy he's
00:03:36.880 hustling he's doing very very well very successful um and and i just want you guys to understand
00:03:43.800 that the opportunities that you have right now are unprecedented if you're a young man or young
00:03:51.620 woman and you're thinking about starting a business it's not like when i was in started business 20
00:03:57.260 years ago where we didn't have internet we didn't have social media uh we didn't have email you know now 0.99
00:04:03.240 all these things we didn't even have fucking cell phones i was walking around the fucking beeper 0.96
00:04:06.420 typing type of code to people you know people people who are old know what i'm talking about 0.99
00:04:11.100 you know like morse code for like oh yeah for like hey come to my house you know and all that shit 0.96
00:04:17.520 you don't even know you're just agreeing yeah yeah phone was sending pigeons to his loved ones 0.88
00:04:21.300 yeah he was he was that was back in the day he was here before mail yeah that's how old vaughn is
00:04:25.840 people actually you know use the phone and it would ring at home like when somebody called you
00:04:30.300 your mom answered and you had to ask your mom if you could talk to him no dude and then what you
00:04:33.980 had to do is you had to get like an extra long phone cord that would like go into like the other
00:04:38.180 room and you would like have to shut the door yeah yeah actually the best innovation back then was when
00:04:44.280 you had that kind of phone and do you remember there were phones that you could actually keep
00:04:47.960 somebody on hold and then call somebody else but you what you did in high school in junior high is
00:04:52.740 that you got somebody on the phone and then you called somebody else but didn't tell the second
00:04:56.320 person that the other person was on the phone and you create all sorts of conflict that's awesome
00:05:00.200 i i never did that you never did it no did you did you ever prank call people no oh that was
00:05:06.860 probably after like that was probably caller id i was too busy chasing girls yeah you probably were
00:05:11.360 yeah yeah so anyway let's talk about entrepreneurship from a young age you know when i started guys in
00:05:18.380 my business like i said we didn't have the tools that you guys have we didn't have the opportunities
00:05:23.700 that you guys have and you have to understand that right now in this society there is more
00:05:30.240 opportunity to make money than there ever has been before and i want you as you listen uh to the story
00:05:37.900 to think about how he got started what he decided to do and i don't want you to listen and say hey i'm
00:05:44.760 gonna do that because so many people do that right they hear a story and then they say oh i'm gonna do
00:05:49.560 that same thing that's not the point of what we're trying to talk about we're just trying to show you
00:05:53.660 one opportunity down the pipeline um that has made this man successful at 21 years old um so
00:06:00.760 where do you want to start man well how did you get to know for a uh i think that's a relevant point
00:06:08.040 yeah well basically through instagram um you know and that's just the power of the internet right now
00:06:15.920 here we are sitting with someone who is from a different country in our office doing a podcast
00:06:22.400 uh based around you know introduction off the internet but um he owns many instagram pages and
00:06:29.180 would post my my content to help build my following and that's how we got to know each other yeah so
00:06:34.640 that was that's one of the businesses that he does yeah it was back in uh february 2015 if i'm not
00:06:39.800 mistaken i think it was like two three weeks into business just getting started when uh andy's team
00:06:44.540 reached out to us and uh ever since i mean we've been working together around and with andy's brand
00:06:51.760 personal brand for about year and a half now yeah it's pretty cool to be sitting across the table now
00:06:56.700 why don't you tell us because i back up just a little bit because you know tell a little bit of
00:07:00.540 biographical information you're in school right now you were telling me the other day that that you are
00:07:06.280 studying for law but you got the entrepreneurial bug it's kind of in your blood so then you how'd you get
00:07:12.360 started um it's it's a pretty i mean so i got into law school when i was 17 years old um thinking that
00:07:20.640 i wanted to be a lawyer and go to the entire you know process of going to school doing this doing
00:07:25.060 that um in my mind when i got into law school it was 100 to become a lawyer and i never thought i
00:07:30.440 end up you know doing something like this today um since the day i got my first iphone i think i was
00:07:35.320 13 14 years old i got into uh social media and all that stuff because i thought it was you know
00:07:39.500 passionating the fact that you can reach out to the entire world without necessarily to to fly
00:07:44.120 there or be you know like that you guys were referring to earlier it was really complicated
00:07:47.720 just to to call your friend next door back in the days right whereas today uh everything is one
00:07:53.000 click away from you you know where whether i'm in canada or i'm you know i'm in i'm in somewhere in
00:07:58.380 africa or asia i can reach out to the entire world um with you know with the power of my thumbs right
00:08:03.240 so i got into twitter and all that things facebook and i started you know doing my homework around
00:08:08.120 social media and how i could get a huge following on there so one day when i was around you know 16
00:08:12.960 17 years old uh i started my blog called mr goodlife on tumblr and uh you know it got quite some knowledge
00:08:19.480 some uh some recognition uh i started you know i was a self-taught photoshop editor i was also doing
00:08:25.540 some of my own photos collaborating with photographers etc so you know after four years i was i think the
00:08:32.040 biggest luxury blogger on tumblr uh with 100 something thousand followers on there and however
00:08:37.500 i didn't make a dollar from it you know it was all homework knowledge and learning how social media
00:08:42.640 works and connecting with people around the world uh and then one day so around november 2014
00:08:47.820 um i saw a bunch of people you know stealing well i mean taking my content from from tumblr especially my
00:08:54.820 photography and you know reposting on instagram with no credit and i was like why am i not out there
00:08:59.820 why am i not on instagram you know putting my name out there and uh i saw that there was some
00:09:05.260 sort of business that was about to boom on instagram uh i don't know i just felt it so i went all in
00:09:10.880 uh quit tumblr went to instagram under mrgoodlife.co um and then from then my entire life changed uh when i
00:09:19.900 say my entire life literally i went from being that law school student to a social media mogul you know sort
00:09:25.440 of you know grew a big big big social media presence uh we were at 10 000 followers first
00:09:30.200 month 25 000 second and i think 100k within five months but within the first 12 months of me being
00:09:36.380 on instagram i had a four million follower reach and we're today with 5.5 million followers um you
00:09:42.780 know all that through various pages right yeah through various pages of course network extends all
00:09:47.340 way up to 100 million followers wow yeah the network i mean the network is is unlimited today uh we're
00:09:53.260 some of the biggest influencers when it comes uh to instagram especially in the luxury lifestyle niche
00:09:58.640 which is where i started uh personally uh and now you know really into like personal branding and stuff
00:10:04.100 like that so as i was saying um my entire like you know the way i got into entrepreneurship is i got
00:10:10.380 into i got into law school and then halfway in i saw that my social media was was blowing and i was
00:10:15.040 like you know what i need to find a way to make money from it because i'm bored at work i hate working for
00:10:20.920 someone else i was i was really fucking bored you know telling having someone give me orders and do 0.97
00:10:25.760 this do that working you know 10 50 an hour and i was like i want more out of my life than just sitting
00:10:30.600 here and having someone boss me around i've always been that way so i saw that my social media was was
00:10:35.960 about to pop out so i just stopped i stopped working i stopped doing anything else i was just focused on
00:10:41.020 my studies and my personal business mr good life and so around november 2014 when i joined instagram i did
00:10:46.920 about three months of pure homework so i didn't make a dollar for these three months but that's
00:10:52.160 okay um i was on the social media for like 12 16 hours a day no joke you know you know some people
00:10:58.380 say i work all day work all day it wasn't a joke i was literally on it non-stop yeah you know it takes
00:11:03.740 trying trying to figure out how it works because everyone has social media and everyone thinks they
00:11:08.820 know how to use it but that's not true you know it's very few people know how to to make money out
00:11:14.160 of social media and how to really play around the algorithms etc and how to get people to click
00:11:19.300 and buy and do this do that right to make money from it so we figured it out after three months
00:11:23.760 uh and then i went on and i started you know investing in my social media buying out pages
00:11:27.840 and then the client just started rolling in and you know with you know strong work ethics and you know
00:11:33.020 a lot of lot a lot of hard work you know uh we got to where we are today uh where we've worked
00:11:39.960 with over 500 people 500 clients over the past year we have five million yeah including andy uh and a
00:11:46.940 lot of big guys out there i gotta ask i'm i'm fascinated when you were doing this homework
00:11:51.480 and you're saying you're doing homework on social media were you were you researching and and reading
00:11:57.140 a bunch of articles on social media or were you exclusively just making observations and breaking
00:12:02.340 down like analysis of the different platforms well back then there was like almost no information
00:12:08.580 about instagram actually when i was telling people that i was making money from instagram everyone
00:12:12.260 was laughing at me including some of my friends they were like what the fuck get off instagram get 0.71
00:12:16.640 off your phone you're never never gonna make a dollar out of it you know people i was editing 0.97
00:12:20.180 photos in class you know doing cool photoshops and stuff and people like what are you doing posting
00:12:24.180 an inventador or like a ferrari i mean you're not gonna get paid from it and i was like just watch
00:12:28.240 me right and so when i say doing my homework it's not reading articles and stuff i i always
00:12:34.240 believe in going out there and testing things yourself so i went and i i made my instagram
00:12:40.480 account i networked with you know a bunch of people i was sending out emails left and right
00:12:44.040 and uh and you know messages to a bunch of you know big pages and i just try to put my set my foot
00:12:50.620 in the door you know so that i can have my name out there and you know by homework i mean learning
00:12:56.060 everything about the app what sort of content works uh how to get more likes how to boost your traffic
00:13:01.480 your audience this this and that organically of course so a couple things i just want to like
00:13:08.240 hit on before they get lost you guys listening that what he's done is no different than the message
00:13:14.100 that we've been preaching here for the last year okay he started it took him four years to make a
00:13:19.680 dollar to make a dollar and he's working for free on that brand and his and his skill set for four
00:13:26.680 four years right yeah at least yeah four or five years four or five years before a dollar comes in
00:13:32.100 so a lot of people see now and they see him as a 21 year old man and they say oh man you know he's
00:13:39.060 it's been this quick thing no he started when he was 16 he's really started when he was 13 so guys it's
00:13:46.380 still they're still you know it's not it's not violating the principles that we teach here which is
00:13:52.880 you're gonna have to put in the time you're gonna have to put in the work you're gonna have to do
00:13:57.140 things for free for a while and when i say a while i mean years for it to turn into a skill that you
00:14:03.160 can get paid doing and that's what he's done yeah so this is kind of interesting to me too because i've
00:14:07.200 never met someone that uh you know because the way i got in the photo and video work is i was working
00:14:13.180 a job and that night you know i'd be that night owl and dude i'd stay up watching youtube tutorials and
00:14:18.360 everything like that so it sounds like you learned your craft in your spare time like i did the same
00:14:23.300 way you same way right same exact way i was just a whole that's a great point like that's cool he's
00:14:28.020 not waiting around for people to teach him no which is the trait of an entrepreneur you know
00:14:32.100 dude i get so many questions every fucking day that people could go to google and find out on their 0.92
00:14:39.460 own you know what i mean and if you don't have the initiative to do those things or take the skills 0.99
00:14:44.120 you want to learn and start learning them on your own dude you have no fucking chance of ever making it 0.89
00:14:47.940 no way yeah it'll never happen you are your best teacher no kidding right like of course it's hard 0.97
00:14:54.060 i mean it's always hard when you start from zero like like you know everyone's sitting around this
00:14:58.320 table did and probably the people listening to us that don't know where where to start where to go
00:15:02.200 i mean just go you know just start there's no like oh guide me there you know a bunch of people
00:15:07.280 ask me where do i start how do i get started where to do this i mean there's no answer no there's
00:15:11.960 no answer it's go out there and try is like where do you think you should start and let them develop
00:15:16.340 plan on there just find something you like you know i love social media what i love about social
00:15:20.840 media you're a luxury blogger you love luxury you love cars you love fashion exactly you love watches
00:15:26.720 you know and this guy's a connoisseur of those items it's a perfect it's a perfect you know it's
00:15:33.180 a perfect example of somebody who has taken passion and turned it into a an income stream it's exactly
00:15:39.600 what we talk about right that's what i was gonna say there's a couple things when you were talking
00:15:43.140 that i think are very consistent with the narrative oh dude we talk about here i didn't
00:15:46.500 i just didn't want to stop him because it was good no it was very good it was it was first of all you
00:15:50.340 loved and were interested in your topic passion which obviously drives you you also were very
00:15:55.500 very discontent taking orders from somebody else which is part of what it means to be an entrepreneur
00:16:00.040 and then and then i think just the like you said it's just the action you you just did stuff and you
00:16:05.920 you you put your nose to the grindstone didn't wait for something in permission right and the other
00:16:10.000 thing is you didn't mind people laughing at you oh no well if you if you mind if you keep worrying
00:16:15.440 about what people think of you you're not getting anywhere anywhere in life i love people that laugh
00:16:19.140 at me oh i love when i speak big and when i say speak big i mean like when i tell people what i'm
00:16:24.460 really thinking and i look around the room and it happens less now clearly than it used to but it
00:16:29.680 still happens like i could sit in a room with 115 of our employees and i can always pick out one or two 0.99
00:16:35.900 that when i say what we're gonna do they don't believe it i can see in their fucking eyes 0.98
00:16:39.640 and like dude i like that like to me i feed on that well it's your drive yeah it's what drives you 0.98
00:16:44.600 every day so when people were making fun of me when i was on tumblr for four years making no money
00:16:48.420 and created mr good life there were actually people were calling mr good life as a joke because they
00:16:52.700 weren't making fun of me yeah now it's a prestigious thing well the same people that were making fun of
00:16:57.460 me are buying shout outs for me today yeah you know i've seen it happen and the same people that 0.97
00:17:01.640 message me like yo i love your shit now you're doing good work and i'm all like i told you 0.95
00:17:05.460 yeah and now i'm more than happy to work with them good you know you know i'm not pushing them 0.98
00:17:09.760 you know i want to work with them so that so that you know to show them what i've done you know i
00:17:14.460 built my own little social media empire from hard work and dedication and like you were saying earlier
00:17:19.060 it's very good you know you you you have to work around something that you love you know the first
00:17:24.300 step to know where to start is what do you like doing all right figure that out first and then find a
00:17:29.960 way to monetize it all right so like andy was saying i like luxury i like big houses
00:17:35.160 i like nice cars i like nice watches you know i have it like i have this thing for for you know
00:17:41.120 good fine craftsmanship so i made a blog about it i started blogging about it for four years
00:17:45.920 didn't make a dollar but still i got that recognition as mr good life on social media and
00:17:51.700 on the internet so that when i went into instagram people already knew who i was people already knew
00:17:56.960 that this is the mr good life from tumblr from whom i was stealing all these edits and these
00:18:01.380 photos like these photos that i was taking so automatically the brand just popped and i figured
00:18:06.380 a way to to make money from it right so back in the days nobody thought you could make money from
00:18:11.120 instagram nobody thought that people would pay even me i was like it was like people were trying to
00:18:15.620 hustle me when i got on instagram i was like what the fuck like people are getting paid to post so then 0.79
00:18:21.020 i developed that business and you know we're some of the first people to have done i mean everybody 0.96
00:18:25.180 today talks about influencing you know social media influencer this this and that but you know truly we
00:18:29.920 started this two years ago and today it's it's booming now people are really understanding the
00:18:33.980 power of social media you know you the powers and we haven't even seen what we can do with social
00:18:40.020 media and the internet yet no it's not even started it's it's just especially on instagram it's just
00:18:44.860 getting started and there's so much you can do you know and i really push people especially the young
00:18:49.820 people listening to me right now that have a sense for technology and i mean you're all on your phones
00:18:53.920 all day long so figure a way to get paid from it you know i was always texting always on social media
00:18:59.080 always you know you know my mother was telling me stop being on your phone all the time you know
00:19:03.820 so you know what i just figure out a way so that the six hours i spent a day on my iphone were six
00:19:08.880 hours paid right you know and this is what everybody should be doing right now so wait so before we go
00:19:14.220 any further where what is your personal page on instagram so these guys can follow you so my personal
00:19:19.340 page on instagram is farok good life how do you spell it yeah so it's f-a-r-o-k-h good life g-o-o-o-d-l-i-f-e
00:19:27.740 cool you guys need to be following him dude especially like what he just said about technology
00:19:34.060 being so new and so fresh and a lot of people won't jump in on it because they're like i'm late
00:19:39.140 dude you're not late you need to jump in now and this is an excellent guy to follow i look up to him 0.58
00:19:44.980 in terms of this dude i learned last night at dinner dude i was learning shit you you noticed my changes 0.90
00:19:50.000 i already made i'm sure about things he recommended to me to do and i'm like fuck yeah i'm doing that right 0.90
00:19:54.720 now you know but like dude that's that's the power of of you know the internet man it's just it's
00:20:02.460 awesome here i am learning cool skills from somebody who's an expert at something that i'm not you know
00:20:08.740 and uh i think you guys can all learn from him you need to be following him right i have to point out
00:20:14.240 too that you're 21 right yeah right so what what i love about the fact that andy has you on here is
00:20:19.340 that you can learn something from anybody and there's probably people who are older who are thinking
00:20:23.440 well i don't want to i don't want to listen to some 21 year old kid what does he know well no of
00:20:27.900 course you can learn and there's lots of different sources that people can draw from and it's just
00:20:32.340 about being humble and being willing to well i mean age is just a number and i mean a baby shark
00:20:36.800 is still a fucking shark right so at the end of the day dude i fucking love it man whether you're 0.97
00:20:43.140 we're gonna fucking snap that right now don't edit it out either say that again i mean i'm just 21 0.98
00:20:50.260 years old and age is just a number and a baby shark is still a fucking shark right so yeah 0.93
00:20:55.580 so i mean and on my snapchat i've been really into snapchat lately and i see a lot of people 0.96
00:21:04.180 like 35 plus have been you know following me lately and asking me these questions about social media
00:21:07.860 and i mean there's no age to get started about social media either i mean the people listening
00:21:11.920 to andy uh are probably people more like around his age you know and and even you guys should should
00:21:18.360 be getting on it if you you're a business owner or if you're looking for you know some side income
00:21:23.900 or something you do on the side you can just learn about social media social media is not just a thing
00:21:28.060 for for the millennials right it's not because it's recent and that it's booming that we love posting on
00:21:33.320 our food on instagram and stuff that you guys shouldn't be using it either you know right it's it's
00:21:37.280 for all ages right and uh something we talked about yesterday that i'd like to talk about is you did
00:21:43.260 mention that you were you know you're hustling you're working all these days and everything but you did
00:21:46.540 tell me when you and i were talking that you're not just into working hard you're working into
00:21:50.460 working smart so what did that look like for you well look i'm not gonna lie to to the people
00:21:55.740 listening and to you andy i'm i'm lazy all right and but being lazy isn't necessarily bad no dude i
00:22:02.680 already know where you're going with this i already know where you're going with this because being lazy
00:22:08.000 forces you to be productive and it gives you good ideas and you're looking to cut all these corners and
00:22:12.740 and eventually all of a sudden you come up with these systems that work yeah dude i totally yeah
00:22:17.580 you know what you're saying but i mean you can be you can be lazy as long as you're smart you know
00:22:22.260 some people work hard some people work smart so the guy that will work 16 hours a day might get less
00:22:27.940 shit done than the dude that will work six because the guy that works six did the same thing the other 0.80
00:22:32.060 guys did in 16 because he was busy procrastinating versus being busy exactly so and being lazy isn't 0.92
00:22:37.740 necessarily bad by being lazy i don't mean sitting on the couch and doing nothing all day i just
00:22:42.100 figured a way to sit on my couch and get paid from it you know because i wanted to work from home i want
00:22:47.580 to work when i come visit you in st louis and be able to make money from my phone right right and and
00:22:51.800 when i'm at the beach it's the same thing i just figured a way so that i could you know fulfill you
00:22:57.940 know my the way i was i was you know the way i thought the way i was made and everything you know just
00:23:03.140 gonna be smart and lazy i want to like asterisk that right because we always talk about how it
00:23:10.380 takes hard work and it takes working smart both you know with technology now it's there are things 0.97
00:23:17.980 that you can develop but dude don't mistake what he's saying that this guy hasn't fucking worked his 0.90
00:23:23.920 ass off he hasn't worked his ass off to build what he has now he's to the point where he's harvesting 0.96
00:23:29.600 a little bit okay and when you're harvesting a little bit it but you can be a little bit lazier 0.98
00:23:34.200 you know what i'm saying yeah i didn't want to be lazy no no i i know and i know what you meant
00:23:39.880 and you know what you meant but other people hear what you said and they're like oh well see i can
00:23:44.260 lay on the couch and i'll oh no do not lay on the couch i mean even when i was laying on the couch i 0.96
00:23:48.920 was working hard like a motherfucker it's just that i'm working from my computer and phone which is a 0.97
00:23:52.780 new way of working right working doesn't necessarily mean going nine to five putting a suit on and going 0.99
00:23:57.940 to the office or going out everywhere and digging a ditch yeah absolutely you know working now in
00:24:03.620 in 2016 can also be working behind a laptop all day long that's right i have people that say that
00:24:09.440 because you know my lamp my plate on the event door says do work yeah and like i'll pull up sometimes
00:24:13.960 the gas stations and like i said most people are pumped like they get excited but dude they'll always
00:24:18.200 be though i always get the one guy who'll be like what do you know about work and he's like you know 0.98
00:24:24.300 he's a blue collar dude or whatever i'm like motherfucker right the reason i am where i am 0.96
00:24:28.020 is because i was blue collar before i was this right and i didn't want to be that no more no offense 0.98
00:24:32.840 but dude i'm too lazy to get up every day and at fucking 6 a.m and work till fucking 5 a.m for 0.99
00:24:38.480 somebody else let me just add that carrying fucking concrete forms i'm not fucking doing it 0.99
00:24:42.740 the distinction that i hear you making is farroke is is the people who are busy but they're busy in a 0.96
00:24:49.300 way that they're like constantly it's constant activity they're frantic they're they're stressed
00:24:53.740 and what you're saying is if you work smart to me i like the word leisure almost better than than
00:24:59.420 or leisurely almost better than lazy like you can be really effective in kind of a leisurely way i
00:25:04.780 don't know dude i think everybody has their own style you know like dude it's every business is
00:25:10.500 going to require different amounts of of hours different amounts of of uh time put in okay it's
00:25:18.860 all going to be different um dude if i if i sat at home all day and did nothing i couldn't run my
00:25:24.580 companies absolutely you know what i'm saying it's just what his business is technology it's phones
00:25:30.460 he's got two phones sitting in front of him over there you know it's phones it's laptop it's computer
00:25:35.500 you can work it's freedom the point that i think needs to be made here is that there it's what i said
00:25:41.540 in the beginning the opportunities to to start a business now it costs nothing virtually it's it's
00:25:48.680 you know it's as much as being creative and putting out content yeah i started with nothing i mean like
00:25:55.040 i was telling andy and vaughn last night i mean all i had in my bank account was i think 2500 bucks when
00:25:59.760 i started my business and i started with 200 yeah you know so it doesn't take much today to start a
00:26:05.480 business it just takes work right and literally that's all the hours you spent learning how to edit
00:26:10.900 videos editing videos oh thousands pictures writing great captions you know your your captions are
00:26:17.460 great uh dude developing great content dude that is quote unquote work yeah and that takes a long
00:26:24.220 time like dude it's long i challenge anybody here to go read one of my captions or read one of
00:26:28.540 farroque's captions and try to write something similar because they're gonna fucking happen for a 0.93
00:26:32.500 while it takes a lot of shitty ones well it's mostly about what you put on that table that's right
00:26:36.760 everybody's trying to do the same thing today so the way you diversify and you stand out from the
00:26:40.580 mass is from the content that you put out there that's how you get big today by the way on instagram
00:26:45.220 or any other social media whether it's twitter or facebook or whatever else you want to do snapchat
00:26:49.740 if you want to be big you have to you know set you know set yourself apart and your brand as well
00:26:55.180 and put that content out there and let's talk about that for a second because people hear you know
00:27:00.600 good content and what a lot of times and you dude you hit on this for just a second earlier 0.94
00:27:05.280 people stealing your shit here's the deal guys you have to understand what's going to differentiate 0.87
00:27:11.160 you from the competitors and what else is out there and i'm going to tell you how to find that 1.00
00:27:16.320 all right you know the thing that you want to say but you stop yourself from saying that's the shit that 0.99
00:27:22.060 you should say and when you say that shit that's what people are going to that's what's going to 0.99
00:27:26.620 differentiate you going out and reading my shit or for rokes or whoever else tony rock it doesn't 0.99
00:27:34.140 matter or you know any of these influencers gary v and reading their information regurgitating it all 0.97
00:27:40.460 you are is a cheap version of them the way you become you is by being you and stopping yourself
00:27:47.160 from stopping yourself just be you you know just stop always trying to impress others you know the day
00:27:53.360 i stopped you know looking to impress others and work you know working for others and i started
00:27:57.600 working for me and doing things for myself not not not trying to sound selfish because i'm giving a lot
00:28:03.160 out too but the day i started working for myself and writing these things for myself that's the day
00:28:09.200 you know i was really putting good content out there at first you know what's funny do you when you
00:28:12.600 write stuff when you say you're writing stuff for yourself do you mean that you're writing stuff
00:28:17.760 for to remind yourself or are you writing stuff for yourself as a business because when i write 0.67
00:28:24.480 stuff like my best content comes from the shit that i'm trying to tell myself you know what i mean 0.81
00:28:30.060 like it's like like people are like god dude that's fire i'm like man i'm just trying to remind 0.97
00:28:35.200 myself not to be a bitch you know what i mean are you saying like it's almost gonna it's it's 0.99
00:28:39.520 therapeutic for you yeah you need to put it in that most of the shit i write i literally write for me 0.98
00:28:44.120 it's like a modern day it's like a modern day personal diary exactly you know it's because it's 0.91
00:28:48.280 it's funny because i was like when i started my personal page i was like i'll put you know i'll
00:28:52.140 put my thoughts out there and it'll probably help myself as a person to be more outgoing and sociable
00:28:56.980 but as well you know as as you know help others and to be honest before posting something i read it
00:29:03.980 like 20 times and if it's not motivating me i don't post it because if if it motivates me i know
00:29:09.780 it's going to motivate others right so when i write something about working hard or like getting
00:29:14.580 shit done you know it's it's really pushing myself too you know i i do it for the other people because 0.58
00:29:20.140 i'm more than happy to see young entrepreneurs like myself you know following my journey and you know 0.84
00:29:24.240 getting you know getting thinking outside the box and going out there and making it happen
00:29:28.460 but most importantly writing this you know helps me you know and it's i was i was just like
00:29:33.860 closed down kid you know behind social media and the day i started doing this i became the
00:29:37.940 open-minded person that i am today definitely you know definitely really really helped me
00:29:41.640 with a lot of you know aspects of my life personally or my business so let's talk a little
00:29:46.700 bit about your instagram business now i know you're doing affiliate marketing now i don't want
00:29:51.080 to get into that right now i want to get into how you got started with your like what tell people
00:29:56.600 what you do and how you got started doing it like exactly what you do right now like how you
00:30:00.640 monetize it okay so the way we've been monetizing instagram for about uh 16 18 months now is by
00:30:06.540 selling advertising space so the way i saw it once i started because is look kids are kids these days
00:30:13.800 they don't watch tv anymore all right we stream we netflix or we're consistent constantly you know
00:30:19.400 watching social media from our phones right 100 you know so the advertising on tv doesn't really reach
00:30:24.900 to people to millennials no right so i thought let's bring the ad to their fingers right so i see my
00:30:31.480 friends and myself constantly you know browsing through facebook instagram and things i'm like what if there
00:30:35.540 was an ad there so i'm going to make pages instagram pages grow them you know push them we know with
00:30:41.640 organically with different content and a bunch of different techniques right all organic all real
00:30:45.980 followers and likes and stuff like that of course that's how you get return on investment anyways for a
00:30:50.340 product and i'm gonna then sell that ad space to companies so whether it's personal brands like
00:30:56.840 andy's or people selling books or like accessories you know fashion accessories or or anything else
00:31:02.880 they would go with the so he owns a number of pages that are all themed pages like he may have
00:31:07.620 a page that's motivation he which he does he might have a car page which he does he might have a gun
00:31:13.020 page which he does companies that own gun accessories will contact him and say hey will you share my
00:31:20.160 post of this and he'll say yes it costs this much yeah and that's how that's what he's saying
00:31:24.700 depending on the number of followers don't even understand that that whole world exists oh yeah
00:31:28.480 well people are starting slowly to understand so imagine how it was two years ago people were like
00:31:33.180 what the hell i can't believe i'm paying for instagram but literally you want to put your 0.59
00:31:37.820 brand out there if listen if you have a brand it needs to be on every single social media platform
00:31:42.780 possible especially instagram and facebook but mostly instagram it's very very very important to be
00:31:49.200 out there so what i did is i grew multiple pages started out with mr goodlife.co which is my main
00:31:54.280 instagram page with 416 000 followers today uh and then as i saw that the business was slowly
00:32:00.340 picking up i started buying pages so i would go to random kids and i'd be like how much you want for
00:32:05.040 your page you know blah blah blah and this is how much i can give you and i started buying a page
00:32:09.120 or two and then i grew more you know and back in the days the algorithms you know were easier to
00:32:14.160 work with on instagram especially so we grew like wildfire and i diversified so i have lux quotes which
00:32:19.940 is my motivation page is the first actually quote page on instagram um i got mr good life which is
00:32:25.340 luxury lifestyle and a bunch of them then i have my couple pages so more love pages stuff like this
00:32:29.800 dirty feelings dirty feelings which is you know that's my favorite ones yeah it's a good one it's it's
00:32:33.920 it's actually my second ever instagram page so you know it's it's the one that got my business
00:32:38.400 rolling so i love that one as well the name a little hornball he's got his dirty feelings page 1.00
00:32:43.060 yeah it's a pretty good page i mean don't open it if you're around ladies you know so i started doing 0.98
00:32:49.940 this and and i and then it's funny because so it was january 16th 2015 i'll always remember that date
00:32:56.180 i bought my first instagram page which was 140 000 followers while i was going mr good life because
00:33:01.820 for me business wasn't going fast enough and i needed to start something so i bought the page and
00:33:06.820 the next day i made my first dollar and it started every day 70 bucks 70 bucks 70 bucks and it was
00:33:12.920 just coming in coming and coming and coming and we're selling ad space to all these brands and
00:33:16.420 i mean by having a good business ethic of course and you know working hard we were growing quality 0.79
00:33:22.400 pages versus more most people were growing these bullshit pages or like no return right no return 0.60
00:33:27.620 right because at the end of the day if your client doesn't get a return on investment he's not going 0.83
00:33:31.060 to come back exactly you know the reason andy's been working with us for over a year now is because
00:33:34.600 he's seeing a change that's right right or or when i'm selling there's probably six seven pages
00:33:39.560 total that i work with and i won't work with anybody else because most of the pages
00:33:42.820 out there are fake followers fake likes and they don't return anything it's all and dude those
00:33:49.660 pages probably gone through 50 pages yeah those pages come and go yeah i mean i know who the
00:33:53.900 good ones are and i'm not going to tell everybody who they are no we're not here that's my secret
00:33:57.580 but but but you working with you has helped me figure that out yeah that's that's i mean that's
00:34:02.400 great to know and you know this is what set us apart you know the quality and there's a bunch of
00:34:06.540 people in my crew that were doing the same thing as us and that's why they're making so much
00:34:09.760 money today with instagram so the i was i always had a dream to own my little social media empire
00:34:14.780 that's how i like to call it um so you know i i was growing like wildfire the business was booming i
00:34:20.340 was just like i guess posting good content and doing the right things putting you know my name out there
00:34:25.880 and working multiple brands you know it just started rolling in and in and in and in and then
00:34:30.120 after a year so by january 2016 we were at 5 million followers total and a network of 50 to 100
00:34:37.600 million followers you know so we can get our clients on any sort of page any niche they just
00:34:42.140 tell me listen i'm selling this product this is my my budget for for campaign and i'll make sure to
00:34:47.760 place them on the right pages right so if you're selling guns i'm not going to put you on a love page
00:34:52.380 right right i'm going to put you on a gun page or if of if you're your talk or like you know your
00:34:57.020 your personal brand i'll put you on the most motivational pages that i can because it fits
00:35:00.960 your brand so this is what we've been doing for people and we're one of the first very very first
00:35:04.760 people to do it on instagram which is also one of the reason that we were so successful at this
00:35:09.020 right and here's the cool thing is what you so you you guys listening you know you you're so many
00:35:16.280 people are like they stop their thought process or their vision at where things are and what's cool
00:35:23.920 about what you're doing is like dude this is just him sticking his his foot in the pool man
00:35:29.020 he's trying and going to you know start a full-blown media company you know similar to like
00:35:34.840 what gary had like gary v has up in new york with vayner media and all started straight off of
00:35:39.820 instagram so i think that's important you know it's not just oh here's somebody who's going to make a
00:35:45.000 little bit of a of some money for a little bit of time on something that's hot no he's taken
00:35:49.920 something that started as just a hobby and a passion grown into a business now he's going to
00:35:56.740 cash flow his next step off of this and that's how it works it's the same way we did it of course
00:36:02.660 well you constant you constantly have to keep growing and keep going i mean you know a few people
00:36:07.800 go viral and a few people know how to remain relevant and that's important right and that's
00:36:12.660 why gary v for example has always been relevant because he's always you know doing new things and
00:36:18.480 better and bigger things which is what we're trying to apply to our business at mr good life
00:36:22.660 right so now that we have all these pages and that we we have this background i mean because we're
00:36:28.300 present in over 50 000 cities in 193 countries today so we have this power you know to influence
00:36:34.140 you know people from all around the world so now the idea is to take the next level and you know
00:36:39.480 become a full-blown advertising agency but this is just the proof to everyone listening you know today
00:36:44.460 that you can literally from nothing you can become something oh you know like and it doesn't take
00:36:51.560 much it just takes passion dedication consistency and hard work like you've been preaching your entire
00:36:57.460 life right and it's that's i say that's all it takes of course it's not that easy you know there's a
00:37:02.720 lot of bumps i mean i'm not gonna lie i mean i got scammed on instagram i got i got my accounts hacked
00:37:08.180 i got someone one day who hacked into my account and called me for his five thousand dollar ransom
00:37:12.240 i didn't sleep for a week you know there's and that's the thing about technology is because
00:37:16.440 let's say i own a clothing store what's what can happen to me someone can come and steal a piece
00:37:21.040 of clothing i can catch him easily dude online there's these hackers from russia or from albania
00:37:26.340 and stuff always trying to hack into your instagram accounts yeah so it's really not that easy and you
00:37:29.800 live with a lot of stress you know yeah you don't know if one day your your one million follower page
00:37:34.220 is going to get hacked you know or people are trying to try to get into it or force you to give you the 0.89
00:37:38.200 passwords you know this this and that so there's a lot of you know a lot of bullshit that 0.87
00:37:42.220 we've had to go through you know a lot of hard work it's i make it sound like it's simple but 0.89
00:37:46.460 truly it was it was a hell of a hell that any successful business is going to have its its bumps
00:37:51.840 you know and these are these are the hazards of your business you know and i think it's i i think it's
00:37:58.140 cool i think it's cool i think your story is cool because it really truly embodies the principles
00:38:04.060 that we've talked about on our podcast for the last year you know patience dedication commitment
00:38:11.420 passion um you know lack of capital being uh an asset not a liability you know all these things
00:38:19.900 are true for you you know uh he didn't have a million dollars to start his business no he had 250 bucks
00:38:27.000 that he started his business with and that forced him to do the work be creative learn the skills and
00:38:32.840 that's why you are where you are and that's why this dude right here is somebody that you guys are
00:38:37.580 going to want to watch out for uh if you're growing a company because advertising agencies
00:38:42.480 that used to place people in radio tv uh and print those people are dead they don't understand
00:38:48.340 technology the new advertising agencies are going to be vayner media they're going to be mr good life
00:38:53.920 they're going to be these companies who place and understand social and how to develop social
00:38:59.260 presence so if you're an entrepreneur and you're somebody who is looking to grow this is somebody who
00:39:05.480 you're going to want to follow and watch and and make sure that you're on top of when when he takes
00:39:10.180 that next step which is full-blown you know media company which i have no doubt is going to be in
00:39:15.480 you know very soon yeah something that i i don't know i want to go back to just for a second because
00:39:20.320 i've we're committed to telling people the truth about things and you know i you've told you told us
00:39:27.460 yesterday that there are companies who have worked with you that they they've petered out and basically
00:39:31.540 they've petered out because you know they were looking for you to to to give them a voice to
00:39:37.700 give them a platform but at the end of the day they're what they were saying like their content
00:39:43.100 sucked so it's not like i guess what i'm trying to say is i want you to speak to this whole issue of
00:39:47.420 you can't just go out and hire somebody to give you a voice if ultimately your content sucks right 0.90
00:39:52.640 the product needs to be good i mean and that stands true i was going to say it i just didn't want
00:39:56.480 to jump in yeah yeah product has to be good in any company in any business in any format in any
00:40:03.560 concept no matter what i mean we can't just sell anything you know like i mean we can we've sold
00:40:08.720 all sorts of products because their branding was right you know marketing and branding today is
00:40:13.660 major and very very crucial so if if i'm trying to i mean i can have a hundred million followers
00:40:20.020 if the product is not good we're not going to have any return on investment right so before going in
00:40:24.320 doing this which is why you know we're helping our clients with that too you know by doing a lot
00:40:28.740 of consulting for them you know helping them choose the right product and do the right post and content
00:40:32.840 is you need to have the right product out there right you know and something good that serves the
00:40:36.740 people and if you're if you are your product like let's say like for example me i'm a personal brand
00:40:43.280 i'm not selling a actual product i mean you are a product yeah i'm the product okay that means if 0.98
00:40:50.080 you're not good at writing or speaking or presenting you better go fucking practice and 0.99
00:40:56.040 improve the product of course you know because i see you and i we're not going to name names but you 0.99
00:41:00.340 and i talked about a few people who have fallen off hard who spent a lot of money trying to develop
00:41:06.120 a personal brand that just weren't good people and they weren't good at what they did look if you're
00:41:12.180 not trying to spread good around you and help other people good is not going to come to you and this
00:41:16.300 is the way i've always seen anything in life whether you're freaking athlete or you're in
00:41:21.320 business or in school or anything else as long as you're spreading good vibes which is what we've
00:41:25.580 always tried to do with mr good life you know the good life for me is not just about nice cars nice
00:41:29.740 watches nice woman and big houses the good life is is about spreading positive vibes and good vibes
00:41:36.700 around the world to people you know no matter your your color no matter your culture no matter where the
00:41:41.560 fuck you're from you know we're all you know together around the same you know principles so if 0.96
00:41:47.720 you're a personal brand you want to put good content out there and you want to be true and honest to the 1.00
00:41:52.740 people because at the end of the day you're just going to become irrelevant after a year after two
00:41:56.740 years or after six months you know the only way you remain relevant is by being good right putting
00:42:01.600 other people first delivering value put it first of all that that 10 seconds of content was the best
00:42:08.240 thing that you're going to pick up out of this whole entire podcast and i'm super impressed that
00:42:12.540 at 21 years old that you have figured that out what do you think absolutely i mean yeah how many 21
00:42:18.240 year olds do you know that not only could communicate that but you know he believes it right and
00:42:22.700 understands it right like dude i didn't get that i didn't get that till i was like 30 right and that's
00:42:26.640 when we started doing well that's amazing dude going back to what you were saying though to you know
00:42:30.720 the old saying the camera doesn't lie what i also hear you saying is that um and also you saying
00:42:36.380 andy is that you know social media is is and this has been said before but social media is kind of
00:42:41.280 like a magnifying glass like if you are a lousy person and you have a huge social media reach
00:42:46.900 that's what's going to come out but if you're if you're if you're a good person eventually yeah
00:42:51.560 eventually eventually if you're a good person you have good content and then you have that platform
00:42:55.720 that's what's going to come out so but but to some extent i mean i guess i guess you can fake it for
00:43:00.000 so long but it's like what you were saying at some point the cows are going to come home you know 0.81
00:43:04.280 people are going to figure it out oh people people are not stupid you know you can only fool people 0.61
00:43:08.480 once and and at the second time they'll figure your old game you know i've seen i've seen people rise 0.90
00:43:13.260 i've seen people fall some of our clients as well uh i've seen all sorts of things products people
00:43:18.080 blah blah blah and you know at the end of the day the ones that remain relevant today and since the
00:43:23.060 last 16 months that i've been into this are the people that were serving others and bringing value to
00:43:29.180 the table so if you've got nothing to bring to the table might as well just stay where you are
00:43:32.320 right yeah you know there's no need or figure out how to yeah or figure out to yeah yeah for oak i 0.99
00:43:37.220 would say i would totally agree with you i people but i would say people are stupid but because of 0.99
00:43:41.380 the the world we live in now is social media there's a statute of limitations for stupid yeah 1.00
00:43:45.520 because i mean anyone can buy followers and pay anyone to get followers in order to get recognition 1.00
00:43:49.780 he said people aren't stupid well right what i'm saying is i'm i'm disagreeing that they are stupid 1.00
00:43:56.240 but but but now because of the no i think people there are a lot of people out there who are stupid 0.99
00:44:01.360 but i'm saying because of the world we live in now because of social media there's a there's a 0.99
00:44:05.620 limitation to that stupidity and it's going to run out that's what i'm saying i i guess what we're 0.98
00:44:09.980 disagreeing is i do think there are people who allow themselves to be fooled yeah okay that's what 0.99
00:44:14.480 a lot of people follow these fake entrepreneurs on instagram so they don't know that's what i'm
00:44:18.240 saying but they don't necessarily know because social media has made it so that some people can fake
00:44:23.020 it yes and it's easy to fake it i can go out there and take a bunch of photos of like rolexes and
00:44:27.720 inventadors and this this and that and see that it's my life but at the end of the day that dude
00:44:31.960 can only do so much yeah i think like at one point he's going to run out of content or people are going
00:44:37.200 to catch up to him or look him up on google and they're going to see that he's not the real deal
00:44:41.180 it's like that it's not like that famous statement statement you can fool some of the people some of the
00:44:45.040 time but you can't pull all the people look it's the same thing we talked about in the small town
00:44:49.940 america podcast dude you can you could sell anything to anybody one time including yourself
00:44:56.280 right but that's not a sustainable plan the sustainable plan is to develop great product
00:45:02.580 to develop passionate followers to develop passionate customers develop great culture
00:45:08.560 and to deliver way more than you ever asked for in return of money go that extra mile yes for the
00:45:13.860 client or for the people and that is what builds sustainability you know it's it's appealing
00:45:18.220 to young people the quick dollar story it's appealing right oh man i've made a million dollars
00:45:25.740 in one year or six months and that sounds cool but i'm going to tell you dude that million dollars
00:45:33.780 you know it goes away fast you know what i mean and you need to think sustainability you need to
00:45:41.560 think long term you need to think commitment and you think about your great product and i see a lot
00:45:47.240 of people out there trying to do i see a lot of people out there trying to do what i do and then
00:45:51.860 also trying to do what i do in my actual businesses our supplement businesses um where they try to copy
00:45:58.540 everything except they they can't they can't make the product they can't make a good product you know
00:46:05.220 either themselves or the actual physical product they can't do it and then they wonder why it doesn't
00:46:09.740 work well dude the product's everything it's everything and that we don't touch on that enough
00:46:14.460 we we always talk about how to do you know that's a given like anytime i talk about selling anything
00:46:19.560 or anytime we're talking about building a business or dude if your product is not great
00:46:25.080 you're going to be limited yeah product along with you know the branding around it right but you need
00:46:30.500 a good product because only good products will remain you know strong foundations you know empires
00:46:34.860 are built from you know very strong foundations residual business it's not the first time sale
00:46:39.100 right there's two other things that came up in our conversation yesterday i want to bring up
00:46:42.280 but you you said two things one is that you're constantly dialoguing with your with your followers
00:46:48.060 which it's it's impossible for me to even understand that there are people right now that
00:46:51.900 are still using social media as a monologue as opposed to a dialogue and you're you're constantly
00:46:56.080 inviting your your followers in the conversation but the other thing you said that i thought was
00:46:59.600 awesome and showed a lot of humility but you said you're 21 you've accomplished you know what
00:47:04.900 you've accomplished but you said i really want to invite people on my journey like i'm figuring
00:47:09.240 things out along with everybody else and i think that is really endearing to people because you're
00:47:14.400 not coming across to people at least your followers as all right look at me i've got everything figured
00:47:18.900 out you're just saying he's a real entrepreneur he's never gonna feel like that right i mean i'm not
00:47:24.100 gonna lie i mean i don't even like it when people call me entrepreneur or successful right and i don't
00:47:27.940 even i don't even call myself or consider myself successful yet yes i am a step ahead maybe for a 21 year old
00:47:34.700 but exactly the same i'm i'm i'm not successful yet because i'm not where i want to be right and
00:47:41.040 like i was saying like you were referring to vaughn about what i was saying yesterday at the table is that
00:47:45.280 i i invite people to follow me on my journey so i'm only 21 years old and i'm still learning i learn
00:47:52.260 every fucking day every day i learn something new about my own business about myself or about doing 0.95
00:47:57.700 you know more things i was telling i just learned about affiliate marketing for example it's just 0.97
00:48:00.940 something different so i'm always trying to learn new things so when i invite people to follow my
00:48:04.760 personal page or snapchat or this or that it's literally so that they can see through the eyes
00:48:10.460 of a 21 year old what it takes you know to to make it because it's really good like i was telling you
00:48:17.260 and yesterday i mean a lot of people look up to you steven mayor and you know gary v and all these guys
00:48:21.320 because you guys have all made it all right you see when you say that i feel the same way as you feel
00:48:25.860 when people say that it's like i'm nowhere i i'm nowhere near where i want to be you know what
00:48:32.320 i mean yeah i know what you mean so i'm like i don't i it's all perspective yeah of course of
00:48:38.360 course all perspective i'm just a step or two ahead of you of course of course and a lot of people look
00:48:43.560 up to to to these guys but you know there's very few like young entrepreneurs out there that are
00:48:47.660 really out there to help other young people you know i have all these you know 15 to 21 year olds
00:48:52.520 messaging me on snapchat and stuff on a daily basis asking me what to do and stuff and i just say
00:48:57.020 ride along with me you know i'll take you with me you know i don't want to do it by my own i i love 0.77
00:49:02.280 sharing you know and i don't want to i don't want to be that that that successful douchebag that's 0.75
00:49:06.740 like showing people what he's got and you know and saying oh that's how i did it and this is what i
00:49:11.440 have right because this is not who i am right you know my entire brand my entire personality is about
00:49:16.340 helping others get out of the you know get out of that box that we're consistently being put in right you
00:49:22.160 know today most 20 21 year olds we're we're being put in the box and we're like you're gonna work
00:49:27.520 there you're gonna do that you're gonna go out of school and get a job in the millennial box too
00:49:31.860 which is you're lazy you're entitled yeah you're this and that and like dude what's cool is that you're
00:49:37.360 like the opposite of all those things yeah and you know i'm i guess i'm sort of trying to change
00:49:41.760 the figure of that what we're given as millennials because we're not lazy and we are not entitled you
00:49:47.540 know we've just found new ways to work and make money right you know we're like you were saying
00:49:52.000 von yesterday is it's we want everything fast you know and right now because technology has made it so
00:49:57.880 that it's easy for us to send the message or send the tweet or whatever because it takes a second
00:50:02.140 right but we're not lazy or or entitled we just we're looking and finding new ways of of of changing
00:50:08.760 the world or just like you know i'll say you're not lazy and entitled we're gonna disagree on that
00:50:14.780 well of course you're not lazy and entitled and you're looking for new ways you know what i mean
00:50:19.520 yeah i you know be careful who i need to be careful who i put in that box you need to be careful who
00:50:24.300 you absolutely yeah absolutely i mean of course you know there's always going to be the truth is
00:50:27.980 probably somewhere in the middle between us of course of course and you know there's always going
00:50:31.360 to be that kind of people but you know this is what i'm trying to do i'm just i'm just trying to
00:50:35.100 motivate you know the kids my age you're killing it i want them to make it this has been just having
00:50:40.160 you here has been awesome like you've been awesome yes like this is dude if you're young
00:50:44.740 and you're not listening or following this dude you guys are missing a huge opportunity and that's
00:50:48.740 that's it tell them your social one more time uh my so my personal instagram is farak good life f-a-r-o-k-h
00:50:55.900 good life g-o-o-d-l-i-f-e or my snapchat where it's more of a you know one-on-one with my followers
00:51:01.360 you see that behind the scenes like today i've been you know snapping the you know everything with
00:51:05.540 you guys here in st louis so it's farak s so it's f-a-r-o-k-h-s it's my snapchat cool cool
00:51:12.340 what do you think vaughn well you know we could talk for a lot longer but there's just everything
00:51:19.560 you're saying i mean it's like it's awesome it is awesome and it is consistent with the narrative
00:51:24.060 that we put out a lot but it's also that to me that should be really encouraging to people i mean
00:51:29.120 you've always said you know success is an equation it's they're just there's there's nothing new under
00:51:33.420 the sun no it's there's no magical formula and everything he's using different tools than i used
00:51:38.920 right but the principles are still the same right yeah the principle will always and forever
00:51:43.760 throughout generation remain the same is 100 work passion dedication commitment right because look
00:51:49.460 truth is if i would have given up after a month or two or worked less hard i wouldn't be sitting at
00:51:55.220 the table with you today right right so you always have to work more and even harder and the more
00:52:01.200 successful you get i think the more work you have to put into your business dude it's just it's it's
00:52:06.820 making a true commitment you know it's it's making a commitment and never ever ever stopping or
00:52:13.220 slowing down or letting things stop you or or adjusting your your uh your dedication or commitment
00:52:20.740 at all it's just hey i'm going to do this no matter what i have to do to do it and that's it you know
00:52:26.840 a lot of people don't understand that aspect of it you know they get four months in or five months in 0.92
00:52:32.500 or six months in and they say oh you know it's not working well dude you need to make it fucking work 0.94
00:52:38.320 that's that you have to have real commitment like real commitment well it's a lifestyle and i chose to 0.85
00:52:45.420 live that life so i'm not going to go back you know because i'm so deep in i'm not going to go back 0.96
00:52:50.080 and work for someone at minimum wage and accept their bullshit right you know i'm i'm there and i want 0.79
00:52:55.500 to just there's unlimited possibilities out there i mean there is so many so many opportunities 0.97
00:53:01.300 out there in the world and different not just instagram not just social media there's literally
00:53:05.600 a billion different ways to become successful today right right you just have to be resourceful
00:53:10.460 dude and it comes down to the technology that we have available to us you know the ability to 0.99
00:53:16.400 i was texting with one of my friends in italy this morning you know dude that shit wasn't possible 0.98
00:53:22.200 when i started business like you guys listening who are young dude i used to have to go fucking door 0.99
00:53:26.780 door to door and like shake people's hands do you know how slow that is right now you have these
00:53:31.820 these incredible tools to be connected and yet i see nobody using facebook or instagram or snapchat the 0.99
00:53:41.760 proper way you know what i see them doing i see them posted pictures of their fucking you know face with 1.00
00:53:48.640 some music behind it and some drake and make some stupid fucking kissy face or or crying about 1.00
00:53:55.260 uh their fucking you know job or their girlfriend or their boyfriend on fucking facebook you know 1.00
00:54:01.680 these are fucking tools use them that's why you gotta say you gotta face your problems not facebook 1.00
00:54:06.380 them you know and just once you start getting that you know you'll you'll get to you know another step 0.99
00:54:10.800 in your life i mean social media is not just there to i mean it's good i mean i mean i encourage
00:54:15.440 people to use social media to share their thoughts or like their photos with their families friends
00:54:19.620 just remember that dude just remember that you're a brand whether you think you are or not you are a
00:54:25.840 brand no matter because there's going to come a time where maybe you do want to start a business
00:54:30.040 maybe you don't right now maybe you don't even see it there will come a time when you say hey i want
00:54:33.800 to do something for me or i want to do this or i want to do that or i have this special project or
00:54:37.600 this charity or this or that and whenever you come out to do that you need to think about what 0.99
00:54:44.700 you're putting out today because if you're putting out fucking complaining and whining and crying and 0.98
00:54:50.420 this and that the minute you come out with something that you want somebody to care about 0.98
00:54:53.200 they're not going to listen you know so you have to be thinking about valuable valuable content now 0.96
00:54:59.560 and by valuable content i don't mean motivational shit i mean dude if you want what if you want to 0.99
00:55:03.600 make people laugh you post funny shit if you want to make people think post thought-provoking shit 0.99
00:55:08.380 you want to make people appreciate art post fucking art and talk about art but the point is is that 0.99
00:55:13.820 don't use it as this passive mindless thing because it's an incredible tool that you can use 0.97
00:55:20.740 to make an incredible life out of and that's where i think people are mindless in the way they use
00:55:28.320 social you know yeah like i was saying earlier i mean a lot of people are misusing social media
00:55:32.480 so you know they need people like us to just you know help them get on the right track sort of thing
00:55:37.520 right i mean because social media is so so so powerful a lot of people will say right now they'll be
00:55:42.660 like well andy i'm you know i work at uh edward jones i don't need a social media well you know
00:55:47.880 what how valuable would you be if you started putting content about investing and about this 0.90
00:55:52.740 and about that about all the educating and built a following of two million fucking people that follow 0.88
00:55:58.220 you for investment advice now how much are you worth edward jones do you get it people don't get
00:56:04.580 that they don't get it right you know it's all about increasing value by giving value and it starts
00:56:12.100 with what you post you know and dude i can't think i'd say two percent of the people that i see on
00:56:20.240 social use it in a productive way i mean yeah it's very very rare you know people but people need really
00:56:25.580 need to be focused no the rest of the people use it for attention they use it for like their own 0.99
00:56:29.300 attention like hey look at my fucking ass you know look at my selfie you know so then maybe they 1.00

00:56:46.780 their dm guys last time uh on our last podcast i i jumped the gun a little bit and uh i said that it 0.89
00:56:53.700 was episode 69 it actually wasn't it was episode 68 but i went ahead and gave that the uh specific
00:57:00.140 custom link of 69 for this episode if you want to check out the show notes for our um episode with
00:57:06.620 froke uh it's themfceo.com forward slash 68 so technically we will be out of order but you know
00:57:15.080 worse things have happened the other thing i was going to tell you guys if you uh visit the website is
00:57:19.500 that i'm actually in the process of completely completely overhauling each of the episode pages
00:57:23.620 so instead of show notes something that i thought that people would appreciate a little bit more was
00:57:27.660 actual sound bites so these are the best statements made during the uh during the episode which i think
00:57:34.580 are is far more interesting than just a summary of the episode so check those out um and also tyler
00:57:40.980 is posting video on youtube of our episodes so you definitely want to check those out our uh the mfceo
