REAL AF with Andy Frisella - How to Create The Life You Want, ft. Charlie Jabaley, with Andy Frisella - MFCEO216

00:00:00.000 I can stack them honeys to the roof. I ain't stopping till they stack to the moon.

00:00:05.000 Without me, my family wouldn't have food. Anybody go against me gotta lose.

00:00:12.220 What is up guys? You're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy. I'm your host. I am the motherfucking CEO.

00:00:19.840 Guys, today I have an awesome surprise for you. You know we don't do a lot of guests, 0.98

00:00:25.840 but I'm starting to bring in people that I really feel will not only just educate you and inspire you, 0.95

00:00:33.340 but also entertain you with some cool shit. Today, this is a really cool treat for me,

00:00:38.460 especially because you know that I'm a huge fan of hip-hop and rap and that I am passionate about that.

00:00:45.820 I'm probably the most passionate 38-year-old white male on the earth when it comes to hip-hop.

00:00:51.160 Vaughn thinks he's all about the hip-hop game, but we all know the truth.

00:00:56.680 You know, Vaughn-Ella Ice is starting to catch on. It's starting to kind of overtake, you know,

00:01:02.020 Pastor Disaster and...

00:01:03.340 Vaughn-Ella Ice?

00:01:04.000 Yeah, MC God.

00:01:04.620 I'm glad I thought...

00:01:05.260 Or DJ God.

00:01:05.820 DJ God. You don't even know your fucking name. 1.00

00:01:07.140 I know. I know. Speaking of DJ God, you know how you're telling everybody to bring you a friend? 1.00

00:01:12.360 You know, that's... I've got two people that I brought to the podcast and I just had my most recent one.

00:01:17.500 The first one was one of the faculty members of the local Catholic seminary I told about, the MFCO.

00:01:23.460 So he, you know, he teach priests and now he listens to the MFCO.

00:01:26.820 But the day I met with a counselor, a Christian counselor, because I'm all messed in the head, 1.00

00:01:31.740 and he started asking me about what I did.

00:01:34.240 And I was like, well, my life's kind of surreal.

00:01:37.180 And this is like a really nice, buttoned up, you know, super conservative guy.

00:01:41.800 And so I went to the whole thing. He goes, that's awesome. I want to start listening.

00:01:44.780 So I told him. So we got a rich variety of people that listen to us.

00:01:49.780 Well, that's good. Today, you guys are probably wondering what I'm talking about.

00:01:54.840 We have somebody here who has spent a lot of time in the music industry, specifically hip-hop.

00:02:01.040 He managed two chains for over 10 years.

00:02:04.320 Great story. Very successful guy. And I think you're going to enjoy having him.

00:02:08.620 Welcome, brother. Charlie Jabaly. How you doing, bud?

00:02:11.000 I'm doing amazing.

00:02:11.800 Yeah, it's great to have you here, man.

00:02:13.380 Man, it's great to be here. St. Louis.

00:02:14.980 Yeah, St. Louis is a big key for hip-hop. People don't realize that.

00:02:21.700 Unbelievable.

00:02:22.360 They call it the gateway, but they don't realize that it is the gateway.

00:02:25.840 Literally the gateway.

00:02:26.940 Explain what you were saying before about it, about it grasping the St. Louis market

00:02:33.560 and how that could be a big, big turner for artists.

00:02:37.300 For sure. So, I'm from Atlanta.

00:02:40.060 Yeah.

00:02:40.380 And in hip-hop, when we would break our records, it would be relatively easy to get the Southeast.

00:02:48.920 And there's a lot of regional records that exist that never go beyond our little region.

00:02:56.260 But us as a music entity, when St. Louis would add a record to the radio, we would all sit back.

00:03:05.520 Me and my business partners and my artists, we would sit back and we would go,

00:03:08.660 whew.

00:03:09.720 Okay, we've got two years.

00:03:11.640 We broke out.

00:03:12.340 Right.

00:03:12.560 We know for the next two years, we're going to be okay. Because in the music industry,

00:03:18.740 you never know if you're going to last. So, when St. Louis would get on a record,

00:03:25.680 it would break open the entire country and we would be able to do tours and be able to buy our moms

00:03:34.600 additions on their houses.

00:03:36.060 Yeah, yeah.

00:03:37.320 You knew things were going to be all right. Groceries weren't going to be the issue.

00:03:40.240 So, does that principle hold true when somebody starts in St. Louis?

00:03:43.740 Like, when Nelly had his breakout, did everybody know, oh, well, Nelly's going to succeed because

00:03:47.580 he succeeded in St. Louis?

00:03:49.100 That was such a weird thing, dude. Because when I can remember when Nelly came out with

00:03:52.900 Country Grammar, like, I remember, like, it's usually the opposite. Like, everybody else knows

00:03:58.340 the cool shit before we know it. And, like, I remember, like, when I started seeing Nelly 0.98

00:04:02.640 on MTV and, like, seeing him everywhere, I'm like, dude, we've already been listening to

00:04:06.300 this dude for, like, a year or two. You know what I mean?

00:04:08.200 I mean, this song is already old. We still liked it, but because we liked, people here

00:04:12.640 like to see people make it, you know, eventually when they break out. But, yeah, I was wondering

00:04:18.820 that same thing.

00:04:19.820 You know, I think, like, being in the middle of the country like this is an advantage because

00:04:24.520 a lot of music breaks through colleges. And the beautiful thing about colleges is, like,

00:04:31.580 kids, they'll go to a college and then during spring break, they'll go home and take the music

00:04:36.580 with them. Or during the summertime, they'll go home and take the music with them. So that's

00:04:42.960 how music spreads, you know, with the younger kids. And St. Louis being in the middle, like,

00:04:48.100 you kind of get a little bit of everywhere that everybody's going home.

00:04:51.900 Right, right.

00:04:52.300 So, it is the gateway, 100%.

00:04:56.400 Yeah, that's cool, man. You know, it's funny, too. Like, you could sort of see, like, I'm

00:05:04.260 fortunate where I get to spend a lot of time in L.A., too. So, like, I can see what's

00:05:11.060 happening from there and here. And when you listen to the radio out there, which I don't

00:05:15.920 know all the stations, but I can remember, like, let's say this summer when Kendrick Lamar

00:05:20.140 came out with Humble. Dude, they played Humble on one of the stations literally for 30 minutes

00:05:25.960 straight, back to back to back to back to back. I've never seen a radio station do that

00:05:30.180 before.

00:05:30.780 That's old school, actually.

00:05:32.180 Yeah, really?

00:05:32.620 Like, that's, like, when a radio station does that, like, it is the real deal. I'm guessing

00:05:40.260 that was maybe the L.A. leakers, because they'll do that. And when they get behind something,

00:05:45.660 it's like, we're going to stamp it. I remember I was in Atlanta when young Jeezy,

00:05:50.440 dropped, I put on for my city. And they did the same thing. And it's just sometimes when

00:05:56.160 you know something's a hit, like, it's just...

00:05:59.560 Dude, I knew that. I did know that. Like, when I heard that song, the whole 30 fucking

00:06:02.940 minutes I listened to it, I was like, this is badass. But, like, it's funny, because they 0.94

00:06:07.420 can force feed you shit. You know what I mean? 1.00

00:06:10.000 Oh, 100%.

00:06:10.220 Is that how it works?

00:06:11.780 To a certain degree.

00:06:12.780 Yeah. I mean, it's got to be good, but...

00:06:14.260 It's got to be good. But they know when there's a hit, they want to be the one who gets credit.

00:06:21.280 Right, right, right.

00:06:21.700 Like, it's a fight. Who's going to, like, get the credit for breaking this record?

00:06:26.160 Right.

00:06:26.660 So...

00:06:27.260 That makes sense. Yeah, I've never seen that before. I've never seen a radio station do

00:06:32.040 that. Literally, it was for 30 straight minutes. I remember I was sitting in traffic, and in

00:06:36.440 between, when the song was supposed to end, and when the song would start, they would

00:06:39.140 play, like, a huge siren, and then it would start over again. It was... I wasn't minding,

00:06:44.620 because I was like, damn, this is good. But it was interesting. 0.98

00:06:48.460 I've never heard anything like that. That's...

00:06:50.600 Yeah. So, dude, let's get, like... Let's start off with, you know, just a short summary

00:06:57.220 of, you know, you say you grew up in Atlanta. How did you grow up, and how did you get into

00:07:02.020 the music industry?

00:07:02.980 For sure. So, I grew up in Atlanta. Just humble background. Mom sold vacuum cleaners. My dad

00:07:10.500 worked on houses. And I was always an entrepreneur. And when I was about 11, 12 years old,

00:07:18.460 I birthed, like, this character who I wanted to be named CEO Charlie. I... Before CEO Charlie,

00:07:29.240 like, I wanted to be an athlete. That was, like, my life... I felt like it was my life

00:07:33.360 goal and purpose, but I was always... I was always chubby.

00:07:36.940 Yeah.

00:07:37.460 And I needed something to be good at, so I was like, okay, I'm gonna be CEO Charlie. And

00:07:44.020 kind of, like, the pinnacle moment of me embodying that is when I got invited on Judge Hatchet.

00:07:53.600 Like, I had sold a saxophone. I would always love business. But I sold a saxophone, I was

00:07:59.960 a kid, to this older guy named Jason. I'll never forget his name. Jason Bard. And I gave

00:08:07.020 him a payment plan. And it was, like, 700 bucks. And he was gonna pay me four different

00:08:11.780 payments. And I made up this little contract. And he stopped paying me. So, locally in Atlanta,

00:08:18.040 like, in the small claims court, like, I sued him. I'm like, like, I need my money. He

00:08:22.700 didn't show up to court. And I got a letter in the mail from Judge Hatchet. Says, we'll get

00:08:32.720 this paid for. Just, uh, come to a free trip in New York. And, uh, come be on TV. And I'm

00:08:39.180 like, this is crazy. This is crazy. We're gonna be on TV. We're going to New York. And my dad

00:08:45.000 and mom are like, Charlie, like, that's white trash television. And I'm like, what are you 1.00

00:08:51.460 talking about? Like, this is television. We're gonna be on TV. And it's a trip to New York.

00:08:56.680 Are you crazy? And I'm gonna get my $700. This is the best thing ever. So, I, after 0.95

00:09:02.560 weeks of trying to convince my dad, he finally, because he had to go with me, because I was

00:09:07.300 under 18, uh, convinced my dad, went on Judge Hatchet, had my suit. And I'm like, CEO Charlie

00:09:13.980 for real. And Judge Hatchet is sitting there. She's like, this contract is better than some

00:09:19.080 attorneys I know. And I'm like, mm-hmm. So, that was, like, the birth of CEO Charlie. And

00:09:28.900 I, um, I just always had businesses. And growing up in Atlanta, um, my friends started rapping.

00:09:36.880 And this was, like, big. Like, I could always, like, kind of see around the corner of culture.

00:09:42.100 And I'm, like, telling my mom, like, this hip-hop thing's gonna be big. And I'm, like, giving

00:09:46.960 her my headphones. And, like, listen to Pharrell and Jay-Z. Like, listen to this song. She's,

00:09:51.000 like, like, I don't get it. And I'm, like, trust me. I put a studio in my, in my bedroom.

00:09:58.740 And I lived across the street from the high school. So, after school, there was 20 kids

00:10:04.500 in my bedroom, like, all writing. And we would put 20 people on one song. Song would be, like,

00:10:09.320 15 minutes. And, but it was, like, had the quilt hanging from the ceiling, the booth, $100

00:10:15.840 microphone. And, um, and. What year was that, Charlie? This was 2004, 2005. So, what kind

00:10:24.520 of equipment? You talking about, like, Macs and stuff? I had a Mac. It was, um, it was

00:10:29.120 a desktop. And, uh, I had a $100 microphone bought off of MusiciansFriend.com. Had a little

00:10:34.880 inbox. And, um, believe it or not, this studio setup recorded a pretty big record, um, that

00:10:43.600 was big in the dance movement called Crank That Spider-Man. Like, I was Crank That Everything

00:10:47.640 back then. Like, the dance movement. Um, but then I was, like, I need to make a website

00:10:54.180 and start filming videos and make a media outlet. Like, the studio thing is cool, but we need

00:10:58.920 to, like, do media. So, got a digital camera for Christmas and started making videos. And

00:11:05.180 the website blew up. And, uh, there was this artist, um, who was kind of, like, he wasn't

00:11:12.800 a part of the Atlanta scene. He was always, like, an outcast. And he lived in Mississippi. 0.58

00:11:18.620 And he would just kind of always emulate what we were doing in Atlanta because I had this

00:11:22.300 big movement of all the young artists. And when he blew up, he said to his record label,

00:11:28.200 he said, I want Charlie to be my cameraman. And, uh, it was Soulja Boy.

00:11:32.760 I figured that's awesome. And, uh, it was, it was crazy because I had just signed up for

00:11:39.680 my second year of college. This was a couple years later after high school. And, um, I

00:11:44.420 lost my scholarship in college because, uh, I hated college. It was stupid. And I went 1.00

00:11:49.460 to just a community college and I signed up for my second year of classes. And, um, with

00:11:54.580 me losing my scholarship, I had to pay for it. My mom wasn't about to pay for it, but she

00:11:57.980 was tough on me. And I got the call from Interscope Records that day. And, um, I, I'm like, I went

00:12:05.920 to talk to my mom. I'm like, mom, like, they want me to go on tour with a rapper, like across

00:12:10.620 the country. Like, like, like, can I drop out of school? She, she said, she said, you have

00:12:17.480 to pay rent if you drop out of school. I said, how much? She said, $600. I said, I'm not even

00:12:24.520 going to be here. Why do I have to pay rent? She said, that was the deal. If you're going

00:12:29.100 not be in school, you got to pay rent. And, um, went on tour with Soulja Boy and, uh, got

00:12:36.160 fired six, six months later. And, uh, yeah. And then I went to my mom and was like, I'm

00:12:45.100 going to be a manager. She said, what do you know about managing? I said, nothing, but I'm

00:12:52.080 going to figure it out. Cause that's where the money is. This cameraman thing, that's

00:12:55.660 not where the money is. So, so you had six months of seeing how it was going. Exactly.

00:13:00.280 Right. Yes. So I found it. You come back and you're like, all right, I'm up, I'm, I'm going

00:13:05.380 the wrong way here. Why did you get fired? Um, are you trying to see if it's for the same

00:13:10.600 reasons that you get fired? I highly doubt it's for the same reasons. So I learned very early

00:13:16.660 on when you work for a superstar, do not tell him when he's doing something wrong. Like,

00:13:25.560 like, cause cause he blew up and he was powerful. He was a kid, but he was powerful. Number one

00:13:30.100 song. I'm like telling him like, bro, like, what are you doing? Like, don't do that. Like

00:13:34.460 you're messing up. Like you've got to give people credit when you do it. Like, I'm like telling

00:13:38.560 him, you know, cause I thought I was special too. I didn't feel like I was just a cameraman.

00:13:42.300 I felt like I was the chosen cameraman. So I have a voice, not how it works. He didn't

00:13:47.480 like somebody having a voice. Uh, he just wanted me to do what I was supposed to do and keep

00:13:51.960 my mouth shut. And it was the best thing ever happened. Yeah, for sure. But, uh, so you're

00:13:57.520 already a manager before then basically is what's happening. Basically. Yeah. You're figuring

00:14:01.280 out like, all right, I've got these ideas. I'm able to perceive the direction of way things

00:14:07.160 should be and how they should go to, to, in the best interest of what's going on. Those are

00:14:11.740 management qualities that you're already experiencing during that time. That's

00:14:15.780 right. Yeah. So you're like, fuck. All right. I got fired. But the truth is, is not

00:14:21.120 only is the money better, but I'm better at this part of it than I am shooting video

00:14:25.100 anyway. Yeah. But things got worse. All right. Things got worse. So I found a girl

00:14:31.680 group that I thought was going to be just huge. And Interscope Records loved me like

00:14:38.760 for what I was doing for Soulja Board. And they said, we'll take a chance on whatever

00:14:42.800 you want to do. I was like, sweet. I found this girl group, got them a record deal in

00:14:47.020 24 hours. Three months later, the girl group left me for a Sierra's manager. So a big industry

00:14:56.100 manager. And they were like, well, you know, we can't really have a 19 year old manager.

00:15:01.680 Or, you know, like we're a big sign group now. I'm like, I'm like, I kind of understand what

00:15:08.580 you're saying. But at the same time, you know, like I'm the reason why you're here. And I

00:15:15.380 fell flat out on my face again. And it was like, wow, like I know I'm special. I know

00:15:21.920 I know my stuff, but I can't get anywhere. I just keep, you know, going back to my mom's

00:15:27.040 basement. And I found this group who, their name was Dim Hard Hitters. And they were loyal

00:15:36.520 to me. We started, they were in their mom's house. I was in my mom's house. I was like,

00:15:40.180 just whatever you do, just be loyal. Trust me. Just, I will make you a star. And we went

00:15:45.420 on to have three top 10 records without a record deal, like Big Bidding Wars, like P. Diddy,

00:15:53.640 like calling my phone a hundred times, like one in the, and, and their group was named

00:15:59.520 Travis Porter. And we've had some really, really big success with them.

00:16:03.280 Yeah. That's awesome, man.

00:16:04.740 So I finally got my chance.

00:16:06.700 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's badass.

00:16:08.840 So early on in life, you were pretty confident. I mean, but based on the story you've told,

00:16:13.420 like, where did that come from?

00:16:15.120 Um, I don't know. I've always been able to kind of like manifest things a little bit.

00:16:21.960 Like I can create like these, these, these imaginary worlds in my head and they just come

00:16:28.440 to life.

00:16:29.460 Dude, what's so far, I've, I totally relate to that too, because the people are like, well,

00:16:35.700 how'd you have all the confidence to do this or that? Or how did you, dude, I've always

00:16:39.200 just believed this is what the fuck I'm supposed to be. 0.98

00:16:40.980 Exactly. 0.99

00:16:41.300 You know what I mean? Like, it's not a, like, do you get what I'm saying? Like, I've never,

00:16:45.840 like, I've never, yeah, I've had a struggle and it took me a long time to really get going

00:16:50.820 and this and that, but I didn't ever doubt it.

00:16:53.340 That's right.

00:16:55.060 And people, people are like, I think people look too, too much for external validation

00:17:00.460 and don't put enough, uh, in their own beliefs. Like, you know, I, I was fortunate to, to be,

00:17:07.700 I guess, in an environment, you know, not an environment, but at least have

00:17:11.140 one person in my life, like my dad, who was, who literally as corny as it sounds would make

00:17:18.300 me believe that I could do anything. And, um, a lot of people don't have that, right? Like

00:17:22.300 a lot of people have their dads telling them they're a piece of shit and their moms tell 1.00

00:17:25.640 them the same thing and their teachers tell them the same thing. And so they end up believing 1.00

00:17:28.960 it. So, I mean, I, I get, I get why people can't do that, but dude, I've always like, and

00:17:36.560 this is going to sound arrogant or whatever, like, cause people are going to be like, Oh, 0.92

00:17:39.920 you think you're fucking special? No, I've just always known I'm special. I've never 0.96

00:17:43.580 fucking known it. Like, it's not, I think it, like I've known it and I've always believed 0.98

00:17:47.220 it. And I've never had, even when I had nothing and I was in debt and fucking all that shit, 0.99

00:17:52.940 I still knew it. Do you get what I'm saying? 0.99

00:17:55.000 Like 100% you feel that way? Yeah. 100%. So what I do is I tell myself that it's already

00:18:01.600 done. Time just moves slow. Like, like I go into every day. I love that. Yeah. Yeah.

00:18:10.180 Yeah. I love that. Thank you. Yeah. So I go into everything, um, with the thought process

00:18:16.760 of it's easy because at one time in our life, walking was very, very hard. But if we look back

00:18:27.900 on it, it was like, okay, it was a process. It was, it was hard and then kind of did it and then

00:18:32.540 did it and then forever. It's easy. So why not, if we know that's how everything works, whether

00:18:37.080 it's multiplication, division, walking, tying our shoe, if all these things were at one point hard

00:18:42.860 and end up being easy and we know that's how it works every single time, we're always going to

00:18:49.500 end up saying it's easy. So why not just say that for everything? It's easy. So I'm doing an Ironman

00:18:57.340 in three weeks and my whole training schedule, I've said, oh, this is going to be easy because

00:19:05.020 an Ironman, when I did my research, I saw that Ironman train between eight and 14 hours a week.

00:19:10.960 I said, oh, that's not much because when I was an eight year old kid, I'll go to the park,

00:19:17.540 play that two hours a day. Yeah. That's what an Ironman does when he's training two hours a day.

00:19:22.160 That's 14 hours a week. So I'm going to wake up every day and play. I'm going to go to the pool

00:19:26.640 and swim like I did on the weekend as a kid or go ride my bike around the, around the neighborhood

00:19:31.160 for hours or go run around the park for hours. As a kid, as an eight year old playing for two,

00:19:37.500 three hours a day was not hard. So why is doing the Ironman hard? So I didn't follow a training

00:19:45.740 program. I just went to Nike and they were like, so how'd you train? I was like, like a kid.

00:19:50.000 Wait, wait, wait, dude, dude, before we get into that, you see what people don't understand.

00:19:54.180 And this is the main reason, the main reason that we got together on this. And I'm just going to

00:20:01.260 interrupt because it's important to the story. I didn't know who he was at all. Okay. And my friend,

00:20:09.240 Brandon Hampton and Dan Fleischman, they reached out to me, Brandon did and said, Hey man, I got this

00:20:14.620 dude. He's, he was manager of two chains for 10 years. This guy's killing it. He's a music exec.

00:20:21.220 He was doing great, making all kinds of money, making impact, big deal, except he was 130 pounds

00:20:30.780 overweight. And recently, because, because you talked about being, you want to be an athlete

00:20:35.020 your whole life. People are probably hearing this thinking like, Oh, he's in good shape. He did this

00:20:39.580 and that. But just like what had happened to me, the business side started to get the best of you.

00:20:47.440 Yes. And you know, you, you got to where you were miserable. You're everything was good except 0.87

00:20:54.320 that. Right. Exactly. So let's talk about that for a minute before we get into the other, the next

00:20:58.280 phase. For sure. So what, so you're, you're always a little bit chubby, but then all of a sudden

00:21:02.740 you're fucking 130 pounds overweight. Man, it was literally the bigger my business got, the more sick 0.99

00:21:11.000 I got. Yeah. And I got over 300, 300 pounds and, um, man, like depression. Really one of the things

00:21:20.840 that really got me that was tough for me was, and I didn't know if anybody else in the world had it,

00:21:26.280 but me, but I had a phobia of the weekend. Like I was scared of the weekend. I hated it because like

00:21:35.740 being so overweight, like clothes wouldn't fit and I'd hate the mirror. I'd hate going out. I'd

00:21:41.240 hate taking pictures and then social media. Everybody's living this amazing. Makes it 10

00:21:47.640 times worse. Yeah. But I guarantee you that negative pressure that you felt from that is

00:21:52.660 what triggered you to change too. So, I mean, as much as it's, dude, I could totally relate

00:21:57.240 to that, man. Like, dude, except for me, it was like, it was like events. Like I would hate

00:22:02.440 to go to like, you know, speaking engagements or, or like, dude, here I am trying to go to 0.99

00:22:07.960 speaking engagements and talk to people about fucking crushing their lives. And I'm a hundred 0.98

00:22:12.100 fucking pounds overweight. You know what I mean? Like I look back at some of the videos and I'm 0.99

00:22:16.380 like, dude, that's embarrassing. You know what I mean? And I didn't realize it. Like I didn't

00:22:20.140 realize it was that bad. I just thought like, Hey dude, you know, you're kind of big, but like,

00:22:25.060 you know, um, but the same thing, dude, I hated taking pictures. I hated seeing myself,

00:22:30.340 you know, all those older videos that you can go on my Instagram page and watch. Like, dude,

00:22:34.800 I can't hardly watch them now. Like I, like, dude, it makes me sick. And like, yeah, if you,

00:22:39.420 if you close your eyes and listen to the voice, they sound great. But like, dude, like I'm,

00:22:45.320 I was, I'm so, I am so embarrassed of, of what I let myself become. You know what I mean? Right.

00:22:52.000 I mean, do you look back at yourself? Like, dude, I still hate looking at pictures of myself

00:22:55.240 when I would look like that. Yeah, man. It's, you know, I don't, dude, I think it's hard for

00:23:01.260 people to relate, man. Like the things that you go through when you're, when you're that

00:23:05.800 overweight, like not being able to fucking go buy clothes, like, like not being able, like 0.98

00:23:11.280 you end up wearing the same shit all the time because you got like one or two things that 0.99

00:23:14.140 like look okay. This was the process. This is the daily process. Wake up in the morning 0.99

00:23:18.840 and feel really, really bad because of how you felt the day before, like eating bad. And

00:23:25.040 then when you wake up, immediately food haunts you. Like when you have a food addiction, like

00:23:32.280 every meal is terrifying, but then, you know, you're close. No, dude, it's what you live for.

00:23:38.040 Exactly. It's what you live for. Like, dude, I tell people this all the time. Food addiction

00:23:42.120 is, it's a real fucking thing. And like people who've never had it, they think it's fucking 1.00

00:23:46.480 bullshit. It's the worst fucking addiction someone can have because it's like saying, 1.00

00:23:51.140 Hey, you're addicted to heroin. Well, you got to have a little bit of heroin every day 1.00

00:23:55.240 just to survive. Exactly. But you can't overdo it. Exactly. Or you know what? You're an alcoholic.

00:24:00.420 Hey, you got to have three or four drinks a day, but you can't fucking overdo it. It's, 0.99

00:24:04.680 it's, it's the hardest fucking addiction there is to get up control of. And it's a real thing. 0.99

00:24:10.620 And I've said that before. And people are like, Oh food, that's bullshit, bro. You don't 1.00

00:24:15.160 know. I know exactly what you're talking about. Cause I have it. I don't, I didn't have,

00:24:18.820 I didn't used to have it. I still fucking have it. I still have it too. Yeah. Like that. Like 0.96

00:24:23.080 I was in the airport coming back from, from New York the other day and I've come a long

00:24:28.420 ways, but it still haunts me to where one little slip up will trigger something in the

00:24:35.440 brain. We'll be like, okay, I tripped down one step. Let me just go ahead and push myself

00:24:39.940 down all the rest. So I want to get sick and never want to do it again. Like I would

00:24:46.700 want to get sick to punish myself and feel so bad. Like that. It would make me have to

00:24:54.640 say to myself, I never want to do that again. Right. Right. And it's a downward spiral.

00:24:59.520 Dude, I do. I don't, that's not how I see it. I see it slightly different. Like for me,

00:25:03.660 it's like, Oh, I felt, I, I fucked up and I had a, like for me, dude, alcohol is a big

00:25:09.480 trigger. Like, like I'm not an alcoholic, but alcohol triggers me to eat. And like what

00:25:13.920 it is is like, Oh, I've already had three or four beers. Fuck it. I'll eat that pizza. 1.00

00:25:17.840 And you know what? I'll eat, I'll order Chinese later and I'll start back tomorrow. You know

00:25:21.700 what I'm saying? So I like, I'll tell myself that lie. Like, dude, I'll just get back on

00:25:25.780 tomorrow. I'll just get back on tomorrow. I'll do extra tomorrow. I'll work out twice as hard.

00:25:30.500 And dude, what happens is, is you end up, the reason that's so bad for me is I'll end 0.83

00:25:35.080 up putting on fucking 50 pounds quick because I tell myself that every day and every day I'm 0.92

00:25:40.860 gorging myself because I really truly believe that I'm going to start tomorrow. Yes. You 0.99

00:25:45.760 know what I mean? It's a, I want to tell your audience this too. Like I ran three marathons

00:25:52.220 and gained 30 pounds during that process. Like I never would have thought it was possible

00:25:59.360 to run a marathon and train that much and gain weight. It is 100% possible if you're a binge

00:26:06.160 eater. Yeah. I would, I would exercise every morning and I would out eat that all right

00:26:13.120 of the exercise. And by the time I ran my third marathon, LA marathon, I was so heavy that when

00:26:21.320 I ran it, all my toenails fell off like the pounding. Yeah. Like it was crazy. Yeah. So

00:26:28.460 dude, it's real man. Like, and people always like, I get a lot like people like, cause I

00:26:33.980 carry a lot of muscle, but dude, the reason I carry so much muscle and people don't realize

00:26:38.580 this, it's not genetics. It's because I train hard as fuck and I eat a shitload of food about 0.97

00:26:45.400 follow it up. So I naturally put on a ton of muscle. That's right. So people are like, 0.99

00:26:50.380 well, dude, you know, you're a naturally big guy. No, I'm not. My habits have create, cause

00:26:54.760 I've never had a problem training. I always train, but I did the same thing you do. I would

00:26:58.800 out eat my fucking training. So I would put on a ton of muscle, but I also get fat. Yeah. 1.00

00:27:03.920 You know what I mean? And, uh, dude, listen, I totally relate to this. So, so you're, so what

00:27:11.420 triggered the change, dude? What, when did you say like, dude, I'm fucking done with this 0.88

00:27:15.660 shit? Rock bottom. Yeah. And I never knew, like there's, there's different levels of rock 1.00

00:27:23.420 bottom, but what I actually liked about rock bottom is. Okay. So there's a story. Have

00:27:35.160 you heard the golden Buddha story? I don't think so. Okay. It's super cool. And I could relate

00:27:41.160 so much to it. And, in, um, in Thailand, there was, uh, in this village, uh, a big golden

00:27:48.600 Buddha statue and the village would go to it and, um, and pray and celebrate at it. And,

00:27:55.760 uh, there was opposing army coming near the village. So they covered the statue up with

00:28:00.760 clay and rock. So the, they wouldn't think the other army would want it. Right. And, um,

00:28:07.240 the opposing army was always a threat. So decades passed and they forgot that this statue was even

00:28:14.620 golden. And one day a little kid went to go sit on it and it cracked and he looked at it and he,

00:28:22.520 he saw something shiny and he went and got his friend and they peeled it all back. And this statue

00:28:28.400 was golden. And that's how I felt I was when I was young, when I was eight years old, I wanted to be an

00:28:34.460 athlete. But then when I needed something to be good at, I started listening to what society said,

00:28:40.680 you know, like, boom, like you need to make money, all this stuff. And I just started plastering myself

00:28:45.800 with all this stuff that was a mask that wasn't truly me. Right. And then when I got hit rock bottom,

00:28:53.120 I got cracked and I had to go back to the eight year old dream and I peeled off everything. And I left my

00:29:00.460 business. I left my city. I retired at age 29 and I said, I'm going to reinvent my entire life and I'm

00:29:08.520 just going to be my truest golden self. And that's what I originally was supposed to be that eight

00:29:14.120 year old dream of, I want to be an athlete. So like, and dude, you, you, you retired, you left social

00:29:22.720 media, you left everything that you had worked your entire life to refocus on this. Um, um, which

00:29:30.440 dude, I think is super admirable because most people wouldn't do that. They would say, but you

00:29:35.480 know, I will do this, but I got this and I got this and I got this. And they would be afraid to

00:29:39.400 like say, you know what? I've got to rebuild this. Yes. You know what I mean? Yes. So with that, um,

00:29:45.520 starting over and that sort of reinvention of yourself. Yes. Um, I made a note that I think

00:29:51.160 that's something that a lot of people need to do and are too afraid to do it. So can you go a

00:29:57.020 little deeper into like, were there mental roadblocks you had to overcome? What, what were some of the

00:30:02.700 things that for you to make massive change and reinvent yourself that you had to challenge and

00:30:06.700 overcome? Definitely. Um, so let's, let's go back to the, the rock bottom. Um, it wasn't just weight.

00:30:15.400 Um, it was, it was also, uh, I got diagnosed with a brain tumor and, um, I felt, dude, that's fucking 0.98

00:30:24.260 crazy. That's like the same shit that happened to me. Like the same fucking shit. Yeah. So like, 0.99

00:30:30.220 dude, I was going through and it, so most people don't know this. Like the reason I found out that

00:30:37.020 I had severe depression. So like, we're going to get, remember, we're going to go back to rock bottom,

00:30:43.400 but I have to throw this in here because it's so fucking similar and I don't ever talk about it.

00:30:47.680 I talked about it on that podcast I did last week. Uh, I can't remember the name of that guy's 0.50

00:30:51.960 podcast, um, that we did on fit man project, fit man project, which was a great podcast. Um,

00:30:58.860 but what people don't realize is that, dude, I was depressed for like, like 15 years without

00:31:06.260 knowing that's what was wrong with me. And, uh, dude, the way that it, that I found out

00:31:11.940 about it was that I was getting physical, like these, like literally paralyzing like headaches 0.95

00:31:20.340 and tingling in my fingers and shit. And I'm like, fuck dude. One of my friends, um, uh, 0.99

00:31:27.040 died of a brain tumor, like 27 years old. Okay. And he only knew for like two weeks that he had it

00:31:32.740 and he died. And so I'm thinking in my head, I'm like, fuck. And he, I remember him telling 1.00

00:31:37.280 me like, dude, it's not a big deal. I've just got like tingling in my fingers and blah, blah,

00:31:41.180 blah. And then like two weeks later, he's fucking dead. And so, um, I'm having like these, I can't 1.00

00:31:46.740 see. I'm having to like, my eyes squint all day long. I'm getting these ridiculous headaches.

00:31:52.800 Yes. Uh, my hands are tingling. Like I'm getting like, I, I'm like, fuck, this is the same

00:31:58.880 shit that he said. And I'm like, so, so I ended up going to, uh, um, to a, uh, uh, neuro neurologist, 0.99

00:32:08.880 right. And they do a CAT scan and they find a mass in my brain and I'm like, fuck. I'm like, 0.99

00:32:17.240 dude. And I remember the whole time I'm like, fuck dude. I worked all these hours. I did all 1.00

00:32:21.920 this shit. I haven't fucking done anything that I wanted to do. You know what I'm saying? I haven't, 1.00

00:32:27.200 I haven't lived the life I want to live and I'm going to fucking die. That's right. And 0.99

00:32:31.240 I remember thinking that and I'm like, fuck. So for like two weeks, they didn't know if 0.99

00:32:35.500 it was a, if it was a tumor or if it was a cyst. Well, turns out it was a cyst called

00:32:41.820 a pineal cyst and a pineal cyst is something that up to 40% of Americans or people have in

00:32:48.000 their brain. And most of them are born with it and it never is, does anything that hurts

00:32:52.760 you. So it's normal. But for two weeks, I thought I was going to fucking die.

00:32:57.200 Hmm. So anyway, what a gift. Yeah. No shit. Exactly. Dude, my life fucking changed at that 0.99

00:33:03.360 point. Well, so, so I'm still having these symptoms and it's not this mass. So now they're 0.98

00:33:09.680 trying to figure out what it is. Well, it turns out that it's, it's depression manifesting itself

00:33:15.640 in physical symptoms. Like, like it had gotten that bad to where like literally a chemical imbalance

00:33:21.700 was causing fucking physical pain and people don't realize that. Like, dude, you feel like 0.87

00:33:26.780 you're going to fucking die when it's bad like that. Psychosomatic symptoms is what they call 0.99

00:33:31.440 that. What do you mean? When you, when you're, when you have the chemical imbalance and you

00:33:36.740 like feel depressed and then it manifests itself in physical, that's called psychosomatic.

00:33:40.580 I don't, it wasn't, I wasn't making it up. I can tell you that. Like, I went to the chiropractor,

00:33:45.120 I went fucking all these different things. Nothing was making it any better. Anyway, though, 0.99

00:33:51.400 I went to three different neurology people or neurologists or whatever. And the last guy,

00:33:56.220 um, I didn't even want to go to because I looked him up online and like, he had like operated on the 0.93

00:34:01.380 wrong side of this lady's brain and like fucking paralyzed her. And I'm like, fuck, I'm going to go to 0.99

00:34:06.180 this guy. And you know, he's, it was like the, it was like my last resort. So I go to him and he's 0.99

00:34:14.160 like, dude, look, he's, he's asking me all these questions and like about like depression and shit. 0.94

00:34:21.500 And like, do you ever have suicidal thoughts? And I'm like, I've had this for so long. Like when I 0.97

00:34:27.980 would see those commercials where they say like, if you have suicidal thoughts, you know, fucking call. 1.00

00:34:33.100 And I would, and dude, I had that shit for so long. I'd be like, dude, everybody thinks that 1.00

00:34:37.440 shit. That's normal. What the fuck? Like I thought it was fucking normal. And so I just like, I'd be 1.00

00:34:43.000 like, dude, these people must be total pussies. And like, dude, that's what I thought about depression 0.99

00:34:46.260 for fucking 15 years. I'm like, dude, you're being a fucking bitch. And, and then finally, like I, 1.00

00:34:53.180 we had a conversation and, um, he put me on an antidepressant, uh, Lexapro to, to, to help. 0.98

00:35:00.960 And dude, literally in like fucking three days, I felt like a new fucking person. And then like 0.96

00:35:05.960 in two weeks, I felt like I wasn't having any of those pains. I wasn't having any of those thoughts.

00:35:12.120 Like I felt totally fucking different. And you know, and like, dude, I know certain people are

00:35:16.800 going to listen and be like, Oh, fucking antidepressants or blah, blah, blah. Dude, 0.99

00:35:20.120 they saved my fucking life. Okay. So, I mean, I've since been gone past that point, but I bridged. 1.00

00:35:26.380 Anyway, the point was, is that dude, it was like an awakening and I was like, Holy fuck, 0.99

00:35:33.780 like this is what it feels like to be normal. And I hadn't, I, I didn't get it. You know what 0.98

00:35:39.680 I mean? Like when you live your whole life in that fucking place, like your whole adult 1.00

00:35:43.320 life, it's normal. You don't even realize that you have it. And, uh, and, but dude, 1.00

00:35:48.880 it's funny that you said that about, I want to get back to the rock bottom thing, but that's 0.99

00:35:51.940 so funny because like I got, that's how I discovered my shit. You know what I mean? 0.99

00:35:57.080 So anyway, sorry for interrupting. I just thought it was a relevant. No man. Thank you

00:36:00.600 for sharing that. Yeah. Especially with the audience. They might not, they don't, I never

00:36:04.800 talked about it before because like I, you know, Oh, I'm glad I was able to be a part

00:36:08.940 of them discovering that. That's cool. Yeah. You know, for people don't, a lot of people

00:36:13.680 don't realize they have a problem with depression, dude. They think that they're just fucking pissed 0.98

00:36:17.340 off or they're there. And you know what? Sometimes you are just pissed off. Like, dude, 0.98

00:36:21.940 we all get frustrated, right? It doesn't mean you're depressed, but there's a lot of people

00:36:25.960 who just keep kicking the can down the road who have, who have real issues and they don't

00:36:31.580 realize that they can be fixed relatively easily. You know what I mean?

00:36:34.980 That's what, that's what I was doing my whole life with business. I was kicking the can down

00:36:39.180 the curb and, um, like kind of, kind of like what I told you, I made the character, uh, CEO

00:36:45.560 Charlie. Um, but I made him out of, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was grown in the

00:36:53.740 wrong soil because that's not what I was meant to be on this earth for. It was a part of the

00:36:58.200 story. But when I got so sick, um, you know, overweight, um, and brain tumor and I was at

00:37:05.640 rock bottom, I said, I have to, I have to make a new character and I have to kill CEO Charlie.

00:37:12.520 Like, like it was, it was like, I'm writing a book right now called the life and death

00:37:16.980 of CEO Charlie. And it's literally like I, I, I birthed him and then I killed him and

00:37:22.320 I had to make a new character that was going to save my life. And I made a character called

00:37:28.380 Charlie rocket and that's my, my athlete name. And that's who I wake up and I transform

00:37:33.620 into.

00:37:34.200 Now I know why you got that text this morning from you.

00:37:36.100 Yes. The rocket. Yeah. So Charlie rocket is part two of my life and that's who's saving

00:37:43.100 my life. He's a super, he's a second chance superhero and he's saving my life. So I just

00:37:47.040 fully embody him just like I fully embodied business to, to learn how to make money and

00:37:52.820 influence culture. But now I want to save my life. So Charlie rocket is me saving me.

00:38:00.100 Dude, you know what's funny? Like just as a little off topic, but dude, I operate the

00:38:04.800 same way you do. Like I, I think of like, I see myself a certain way and I just become

00:38:11.980 that way. You know what I mean? And like, dude, I think a lot of people are fucking lost

00:38:16.160 because they don't operate that way. They're like out there trying to figure out who the 0.97

00:38:19.220 fuck they are. Dude, being who the fuck you are is as simple as deciding who you are. 1.00

00:38:23.180 That's right. 1.00

00:38:23.560 You know what I mean? Yeah. Like you're explaining it as like in a very simple way for people to

00:38:29.140 understand that I don't think I've ever really thought about, you know, like you're creating

00:38:33.620 a character in your brain and then you're becoming that character. And like, I've never thought

00:38:39.300 about it like that, but that is what, that's, that's what it means to like become who you

00:38:42.960 are, you know, who you think you are on the inside and you be that.

00:38:47.020 Like I, I, I strongly, um, I strongly believe in, uh, like the law of attraction and I study

00:38:54.960 quantum physics.

00:38:56.160 Yeah, I do too.

00:38:56.840 So like quantum physics, um, has taught me a lot about how you've seen, uh, like down

00:39:02.180 the rabbit hole and all that. Like, Oh dude, there's a good book. Uh, uh,

00:39:06.060 Oh, somebody was telling me about that.

00:39:07.900 It's good. I've, I've, I think I got an extra one at home. If I run by the house today, I'll

00:39:11.560 grab it for you.

00:39:12.600 Cool.

00:39:12.880 Yeah, it's good. You'll like it.

00:39:13.960 So what I want to do is I want to challenge people to like kind of use the law of attraction

00:39:19.500 and dress up like, like literally like if you want to be, uh, let's say, uh, a doctor,

00:39:26.520 like dress up, have a photo shoot, put it on your Instagram. And like, it's one thing

00:39:31.260 to like visualize something in your head or write something down, but actually become

00:39:35.840 it. And then that's like what I did with the Nike thing.

00:39:38.740 Yeah.

00:39:39.060 So when we get into the Nike thing.

00:39:40.400 So tell people what you did. So dude, you, you decide.

00:39:42.760 I'm, I'm, I'm becoming Charlie rocket.

00:39:45.780 Yeah.

00:39:46.100 All right. But I'm, I'm still a hundred and something pounds overweight.

00:39:49.360 Yes.

00:39:49.720 So, so what'd you do?

00:39:51.020 So I created this guy who was super fun and colorful and I wear this bandana and I put

00:39:58.980 my glasses on like, and, um, I told myself I'm not working before 12 o'clock ever again

00:40:05.900 in my life. I'm starting my day with me. I'm still going to work my eight, nine hours.

00:40:10.340 Uh, it's just going to be from 12 to eight instead of, you know, so I'm going to start

00:40:15.120 my day with me. I'm going to exercise. I'm going to do this Ironman and I'm going to, I'm

00:40:19.540 going to, I'm going to, I'm going to be an athlete. Like that's what I was put on this

00:40:22.700 earth to do. And, um, after losing all the weight, I got back on social media and just

00:40:27.760 started like telling people my story.

00:40:29.400 Dude, I bet they were shocked.

00:40:31.080 They were shocked.

00:40:31.720 Yeah. Like, Holy shit. Who's this guy? 1.00

00:40:33.660 Yeah.

00:40:34.080 So many people were unfollowing me. 1.00

00:40:36.580 You, you fucking are unrecognizable. Like you don't even, cause I saw the before and 0.99

00:40:40.180 afters and I was like, no fucking way. Like they're crazy. 0.99

00:40:43.500 Thank you, man.

00:40:45.140 So I was like, I've always wanted to be a Nike athlete. Like when I was eight years old,

00:40:50.760 um, my dad and my grandfather would always be yelling at each other in the kitchen and

00:40:57.640 I walk in and I said, what are y'all yelling at? And, um, they're, they're debating stocks

00:41:03.480 and I said, I want to invest. And I'd always like save my money from cutting grass and, and

00:41:09.480 we did a competition and, and my grandfather bought like, uh, Sarah Lee, some like, you know,

00:41:14.780 steady company. My dad bought Reebok and I said, I want Nike. Nike's where it's

00:41:20.760 at. And my dad and grandfather were terrified for me because the stock had been going like

00:41:25.120 this for years and it wasn't doing very well. I said, no, no, no, no, no. Nike's where it's

00:41:29.420 at. That's where Jordan is. The Nike Presto had just come out. I said, Nike is hot. And

00:41:34.140 I'm just a little kid. And I said, Nike, Nike, Nike. I bought Nike. I won the competition.

00:41:39.300 Uh, stock went up, split, went up some more. I like, I like as a kid had like $2,000.

00:41:44.720 Like I'm like, Whoa, this is crazy. So I always loved Nike. So I kind of did the thing

00:41:50.020 where I dressed up. I was like, I want to be a Nike athlete. I asked myself, what do

00:41:55.580 Nike athletes have? They have commercials. I was like, I'm going to make a Nike commercial.

00:42:02.600 Um, and at the beginning of it, I said, dear Nike, we don't know each other yet, but hopefully

00:42:07.960 soon we will. And they had this mission statement that said, if you have a body, you're an athlete.

00:42:14.100 And that resonated a lot with me because even though I'm still overweight, I'm still carrying

00:42:18.460 weight. Like I'm an athlete. I have human potential to be an athlete. Right. And I made

00:42:23.380 this commercial and I said, I hope Nike sees this and I hope this inspires people. And I

00:42:28.820 put it out and it just started going viral. It got a million views in two weeks. I got an

00:42:35.220 email from Nike saying you have our campus in a frenzy. That's awesome. They flew me

00:42:44.660 up a couple of days ago. They like, I went to every single department. We're talking about

00:42:49.920 marketing. This is just recent. This is two, three days ago. Yeah. Right. Like this is

00:42:53.820 crazy. Like they, they flew me up first class. They gave me this, we're in this big boardroom

00:42:59.220 meeting like this with the whole Nike running staff, which is their biggest division. And they're

00:43:04.000 telling me they had this huge presentation and the presentation was about how I inspired

00:43:10.400 them and reminded them why they go to work every day. That's awesome, dude. Like they're

00:43:15.680 like, sometimes we get caught up in the, in the deadlines and the deliverables and all

00:43:20.540 this. And you reminded us why we work at Nike. Yeah. And they gave me this huge box, this

00:43:27.880 like custom Nike box. It was huge. It was like, uh, it was like, um, acrylic and glass

00:43:34.620 and it was engraved with rockets all over it. And, and they made me fucking awesome. Like 0.93

00:43:39.800 they gave me shoes that there's only 4,000 ever made for my, this one more marathons.

00:43:45.580 Like they gave me like unlimited, like it was crazy. Yeah. It was absolutely VIP shit. Right.

00:43:51.780 One of the employees walked up to me and he said, they're treating you better than they

00:43:56.060 treated some of their biggest athletes when they came. Yeah. I was like, wow. That is

00:44:01.460 awesome, dude. Cause you're real. That is awesome. Hey Charlie, I was thinking as you've been

00:44:05.660 talking. Well dude, you know what's funny is like, that's what happened. It's funny to

00:44:08.580 point out too. It's like there wasn't expectation there. Right. It's like, Hey, I'm making a video

00:44:13.740 because I believe in it and I hope that it inspires some people. You know what I mean?

00:44:17.980 Like everybody's out there creating this content and they're like expecting it to like, they're

00:44:23.380 doing it with, um, with an expectation of a return, you know? And if it doesn't get that

00:44:29.740 return, they're so upset. I love when people do things for the right reasons and get results

00:44:35.240 like that. And I think that's what people were sensing. You're even just meeting you just

00:44:39.040 for a few minutes, you can tell that you're, you give out this, uh, this feeling of genuine

00:44:43.480 of genuine and, and being invested in the other person. So they probably picked up on that.

00:44:47.400 But what I want to say is we've had a lot of, um, guests on the show who've talked about

00:44:51.660 like visualization and really picturing what you, you know, what do you want to accomplish?

00:44:55.680 But I don't think we've ever had a guest who, who takes that basic concept of visualization.

00:45:00.540 And what struck has struck me about you is you literally took that basic concept of visualization,

00:45:07.400 but then marshaled creativity, imagination, everything in the service of getting, you know, your dream

00:45:13.220 life. And you've, I mean, even to the point where you're, you know, putting on clothes and

00:45:17.480 you're, you're imagining yourself and creating alternate personalities. I mean, that's, that

00:45:22.880 really is brilliant.

00:45:23.940 Yeah. But what you're seeing, what you see here with Charlie is somebody who, who truly

00:45:30.620 understands the concepts of no limitations. Okay. I guarantee you that anything that you

00:45:37.300 decide to be, you'll become, because you're not thinking, well, why can't I, or what, this

00:45:42.760 is why I can't, or this is what, dude, you just pick what you want to be and you start

00:45:46.940 being it.

00:45:47.540 Right.

00:45:47.820 And it's that simple. And I'm, I, I like that you're a student of the quantum physics and the

00:45:53.420 law of attraction because I am too. I don't talk about it enough on the show, but I have so many

00:45:59.400 experiences that are unexplainable other than just that.

00:46:03.440 Come on with it.

00:46:04.280 You know what I'm saying?

00:46:05.200 Yes.

00:46:05.740 That are for me to not even doubt it. Like people are like, well, what do you mean? You just believe

00:46:11.480 shit and think about it and visualize it and it happens. Yeah. Like dude, it does. 1.00

00:46:16.040 You know how I explain it to people? Um, I did this yesterday on Instagram, uh, because,

00:46:21.920 uh, I had a quantum moment happen that allowed me to talk about it. So I'm running down the

00:46:27.240 street and this lady across the street is walking her dogs and she screamed out Charlie 1.00

00:46:32.480 Rocket. And I ran up to her with my camera and I was like, Hey, and she was like, I knew

00:46:39.880 I was going to run into you today. She said, I've been following you on Instagram. I just knew

00:46:45.260 I was going to run into you today. And I said, that's quantum because quantum says we're

00:46:49.180 all entangled. Right. And if we're all waves, so how I explained it is we're all waves. So

00:46:54.860 a wave is not one solid thing. Let's take a rock and we drop it into a pond or all of

00:47:00.840 us drop a rock into a pond at the same time. It all creates waves and we all collide and

00:47:06.120 we're all intertwined where a rock is. I'm over here. You're over there. You're over there.

00:47:10.280 We're not entwined, but a wave means we're all connected. So the, the military had did

00:47:14.960 a study where they took a man and they swabbed DNA, like just as his mouth and they put it

00:47:21.020 in a Petri dish. They took the man, put them in another part of the building, had him watch

00:47:25.660 an emotional video. And when he got emotional, the Petri dish, they had an instrument studying

00:47:32.760 the energy, the Petri dish, the DNA changed its energy, even though he was in another part

00:47:38.620 of the building. How's that possible? Well, quantum physics says a particle can be in two

00:47:44.240 places at the same time. And if you look at a wave, like say you drop the rock, a wave is,

00:47:50.100 the same wave is over there and the same wave is over there. Particles can be in two places at the

00:47:56.160 same time. So we're all connected. Like I was, um, dude, that's why when people, that's why when,

00:48:02.260 when you, when you think of, uh, someone randomly and then you happen to run into them in the

00:48:07.840 grocery store two hours later, like you could not see somebody for 10 years and be like, Oh, 0.94

00:48:12.420 I wonder how fucking Steve's doing. Yeah. Two hours later, Steve's in front of your fucking 0.99

00:48:16.240 face. That happened to me on Instagram the other day. There was this girl I haven't heard from in 1.00

00:48:20.920 10 years and I forgot how to spell her name. Her name is Sansa Ray. Uh, we grew up together

00:48:25.920 and I went on Instagram. She just was heavy in my heart for some reason out of nowhere, was heavy in

00:48:31.260 my heart, went to search for, forgot how to spell her name, tried two or three times,

00:48:35.460 couldn't figure it out. The next day she DM'd me. I have the screenshot in my phone. I showed this

00:48:40.320 to everybody. She said, Oh my God, I was just thinking about you. It's like, that's crazy.

00:48:44.900 Dude, dude, listen, I think I might've told this story before, but, but I'm going to tell it again

00:48:50.980 because it's, it's, it's crazy. So when we first started first form, like, dude, we didn't have

00:48:55.760 any money. Like we were broke, broke, broke. Like we're taking a big, we're taking a big, what most

00:49:00.980 people would say was a gamble. I always knew it was going to work, but, um, nobody believed in us. So

00:49:05.180 like one of the things I would always say to people when we first started, like the first

00:49:10.260 two years we started is I would say, I would say, yeah, we, uh, we're getting studies done

00:49:15.500 at the university of Oklahoma because I knew that the university of Oklahoma had a division

00:49:19.700 of people that study products. I fucking had never talked to him before. My intention was 0.98

00:49:26.920 not to lie to people, but my intention was to get the products studied there. Okay. Yes.

00:49:32.120 So, but I just hadn't followed through with it. And so people would listen to me and I'd be like,

00:49:37.280 yeah, dude, we're going to ready to do these studies at the university of Oklahoma, which was 0.99

00:49:40.920 bullshit. Right? Like I was saying, I was speaking a little ahead of what was happening, 0.99

00:49:45.300 which by the way, speaking things into truth is a fucking huge deal. 0.98

00:49:48.740 Yeah. But, um, so I would tell the story. So anytime I would wait on a, this is back when I 0.97

00:49:54.580 was still working in the stores, waiting on customers. I'd be like, yeah, man, you know,

00:49:58.280 this is our product. This is what we're doing. We're getting studied down at the university of

00:50:00.700 Oklahoma. I would tell everybody that. So like whenever my friends would ask me like, Hey Andy,

00:50:05.020 how's first form going? Or, uh, you know, anybody like, dude, I probably told that story

00:50:09.580 literally 10,000 times just like that. Like, yeah, dude, it's going great. We're getting some studies

00:50:15.120 going at the university of Oklahoma, which I, I had never fucking talked to. I didn't know 0.95

00:50:19.700 anybody there. I didn't. So anyway, so like this goes on for like two years. So Christmas

00:50:25.260 at my dad's house, my dad has a big party where like all my, all his friends and our cousins,

00:50:31.160 it's a, it's a, not like typical Christmas. It's like, it's like a Frisella Christmas, which

00:50:35.700 means we're going to get drunk and be obnoxious. All right. So I'm sitting at the kitchen table

00:50:40.420 with like a couple of my buddies who were there and they're like, like, Hey dude, what's going

00:50:45.000 on with first form? And I'm like, it's going great, dude. We're getting some studies done

00:50:48.060 at the university of Oklahoma. And I hear this voice behind me, what at the university of

00:50:52.600 Oklahoma? And I turn around and it's this girl I've never seen before. And it's my cousin's

00:50:58.440 brand new girlfriend. All right. She goes, yeah, my, my brother, Chad, he's the, he's the,

00:51:04.520 uh, head of R and D at university of Oklahoma. And I'm like, yeah, but probably like for like

00:51:08.300 something. She goes, no, all he works on is what you do supplements. And I'm like, I'm like,

00:51:14.360 fuck I'm busted. Like she, you know, it's felt like I pull her aside and I'm like, well, 0.99

00:51:20.260 I'm not, we're not really doing it yet, but like, I want to do it. And you know what,

00:51:24.160 dude, now Chad Kirk sick, who was the head of research at university of Oklahoma is on 0.98

00:51:29.920 our fucking board for all of our research. It has been for like seven years. Yes. Okay. 0.97

00:51:35.020 Yes. What are the fucking chances of that? Well, no, but I'm saying like, like that's when 0.99

00:51:41.600 I first understood how this works, that was what made me understand it. Like, dude,

00:51:46.660 what are the chances of that? That's not a fucking accident. Yeah. That's, that's speaking 0.98

00:51:51.160 shit and believing shit into existence. Yeah. Cause it was always my true intention to have 1.00

00:51:55.960 that done. Yeah. You know what I mean? But people don't, people don't understand how it

00:52:00.080 works, dude. You've got to repetitively tell yourself and believe it. Like in that case,

00:52:06.140 I was telling a lie, which I actually had good intentions behind. You know, it's interesting.

00:52:11.060 Okay. We don't question the speed of light. We don't question gravity. These are all laws,

00:52:20.700 right? It happens the same way every single time, no matter what the, um, there was some physicists,

00:52:28.080 they took a test tube and they put it in a vacuum. So there's nothing in it, but light particles,

00:52:33.900 light particles, completely random as light particles act. They put some human DNA in the

00:52:40.860 test tube. What did the light particles do? They aligned with the human DNA, human DNA attracts

00:52:48.280 things every single time as a law, the same way law of gravity is every time, same way, uh, sound,

00:52:55.640 light, everything in this world is laws. It's just, we don't understand this law yet. And it's not,

00:53:01.740 well, we, you and I understand this law, but science doesn't understand the law to a point

00:53:08.320 where people believe it. Exactly. That's what I believe. Exactly. Dude, I, this is why bad shit

00:53:14.580 happens to bad people over and over again. And good shit happens to people with the right attitude 0.99

00:53:19.120 over and over again, because their energy is focused on the right things that attract the 0.99

00:53:23.860 right kind of things. Like, dude, the best thing that I ever learned about a law of attraction is

00:53:29.260 that you're attracting things no matter what, like you're, whether you're intending to or not

00:53:35.360 intending to. So you have to be very conscious of where you're putting your intentions because I've

00:53:40.680 gotten to the point now where like, dude, I have to be careful what I think about because that shit 0.99

00:53:45.740 will happen. You know what I mean? Like I, and I see it happen. Um, but it's crazy. It's crazy to 0.99

00:53:54.460 see, to like, see it work. You know what I mean? Like the first time you see it work, you're like,

00:53:59.820 holy shit. Like, like you saying, Oh, I want to be a Nike athlete and then seeing this stuff 0.99

00:54:05.160 materialize. Yeah. Dude, that's, that's, I love that stuff, man. Thank you, man. Yeah. It gives me

00:54:10.800 chills, dude, because most people can never cross over to that point of where they feel like they're

00:54:16.140 in control. You know what I mean? Yeah. But, but if they just paid attention, if they just paid

00:54:21.640 attention to how they're thinking now, like, what are you thinking right now? Like, what do you think

00:54:26.280 about your life? What do you focus on? What are you this? What are you that? Like you could say, Oh,

00:54:30.220 I'm thinking about making millions of dollars. But if you're really thinking about how much debt you have

00:54:36.160 and you're stressed about the bills you have to pay and you know, your car breaking down,

00:54:40.380 and that's what you're worried about all 24 seven and the college tuition you got to pay 0.99

00:54:44.580 and you keep getting bad shit. That's why you're getting it. And people, people don't have enough 0.99

00:54:51.300 awareness to audit their real thoughts. They're like, yeah, but I'm, I'm really, I've been really

00:54:55.620 thinking about making more money. Yeah. But thinking about making more money and being successful and

00:55:01.240 living this kind of life, 1% out of the day, isn't enough to make it happen. It's gotta be what

00:55:06.280 you're focused on literally all day. You know what I mean? And, and so I think a lot of people

00:55:12.920 give the law of attraction unfair shake because you have popular things like the secret, which is

00:55:17.780 like, you know, I always describe it as like a coloring book for law of attraction. It's very

00:55:21.220 basic. It's like saying it's there, but they don't tell you how to use it or how to make it work for

00:55:26.660 you. And you have like, you know, you have a lot of corn balls in it. You know what I'm saying?

00:55:32.120 That don't, they're like, Oh yeah. Like just think of an elephant and it will appear in the room.

00:55:38.360 Like, dude, it's not, you know what I mean? They don't give a realistic, uh, they don't give a

00:55:43.540 realistic, uh, representation of how it works and what it is and how to use it. So we have a lot of

00:55:48.660 people who are skeptical because of that. And you know, and then whenever they go out and they think

00:55:53.260 about something for two days and it doesn't happen, they think it doesn't work. Right. You

00:55:56.560 know what I mean? So I like the, the coming up with the character thing that you do because that

00:56:02.380 almost forces the law of attraction into play. Yes. You know what I mean? Cause I do the same thing.

00:56:07.800 It's, you know, I had never thought about it like that. I just think about it differently,

00:56:11.160 but it forces your life to create itself that way. Yeah. You know, like I almost want to do like

00:56:17.840 some little fun Instagram challenge where like, like people like dress up

00:56:22.980 and post a picture with the hashtag of, you know, whatever they want to be. Like we got

00:56:27.340 to like dress up and see ourselves and like, Oh, that's going to happen. Right. Cause I can

00:56:32.580 see it now. When you talked about dressing up, it made me think of a story about the guy

00:56:37.840 that played Obi-Wan Kenobi, you know, from Star Wars. His name is Sir Alec Guinness. So obviously

00:56:43.900 when Star Wars came out, he was already pretty old. Well, when he was a younger man, had a lot

00:56:49.100 of success, but was very spiritually restless, just like was not happy. He got a contract

00:56:55.080 to play a priest and he literally just put on the clothes of the priest. And in between

00:57:02.080 takes, he was sitting and a little kid from the area of Italy that they were, they were

00:57:06.620 in comes up and just, just talks to him real affectionately and, and you can, and shows

00:57:13.160 him a lot of admiration. And it really like this kid's like childlike love really, really

00:57:17.900 like really impacted him. And, and he said, um, he said all of a sudden he realized that

00:57:23.460 that's what he wanted. He wanted to be Catholic. So for him, that, that was that like putting

00:57:27.680 on the clothes and then he joined the Catholic church and that was, that was his spiritual

00:57:31.640 awakening for him. But I just thought of that, like how powerful it is just putting clothes

00:57:36.320 on, you know, and, and playing a role is, uh, is, is pretty crazy. And that's what you're

00:57:41.740 doing, man. You're playing a fucking role. Like, dude, your life is exactly what you believe 1.00

00:57:47.120 you are. That's exactly what it is. Exactly what you believe you are. You could say anything

00:57:51.820 you could say, well, I don't believe on this and that I still have this shit life. No, dude, 1.00

00:57:57.960 your, your life is showing me exactly what you believe you are. It just is. And I've learned

00:58:03.140 to look at people and see that like they could say, they could say anything they want, but

00:58:08.080 I can look at them and see their beliefs because of the life they've created. And that's reality.

00:58:12.780 You know what I mean? Certain people have certain beliefs because of certain things. They grew

00:58:16.880 up a certain way. They had parents tell them this, they had teachers tell them this, they

00:58:19.980 had this, this, this, and they might want other things, but they don't believe they are other

00:58:25.960 things. And that's why it doesn't happen. That's right. Yeah. That's right. Did you make me

00:58:30.740 think about when I got my place? Cause this is really something I've never told anybody.

00:58:34.960 So I got a new place this past year and he's got a sick, sick penthouse spot, but this,

00:58:40.960 this place I had gone to look at it. He's going to have to fucking sell it soon though. Cause 0.99

00:58:44.300 I'm fucking going to about to fire him. So I went and looked at it a year prior and it 0.98

00:58:49.340 was getting ready, uh, be for lease, but they were wanting like two grand more than what

00:58:53.640 I was wanting to pay for it a month. Anyway. So I fast forward a year and I'm thinking

00:58:57.540 about this place like every fucking day. Yeah. And I just so happened, I never went 0.99

00:59:01.580 downtown before this unless it was like on a weekend or something, but that was hardly

00:59:05.060 ever. And, uh, we just happened to be downtown for an athlete workout and it ended early and

00:59:11.160 I'm like, you know what, I'm going to go see, you know, if this place is available. It just

00:59:14.320 got on the market like a week before there was, uh, a couple that was scheduled to view it

00:59:20.980 cause they wanted it like an hour after I got there and I'm like, well, they didn't sign

00:59:25.960 paperwork. Right. I'm like, all right, well let me go up there and see it. So not only

00:59:29.460 did I beat them, but they were also running a special to where it was like $2,000. Like

00:59:35.500 it was like right in my wheelhouse and I'm just like, Holy shit. Well, yeah, it's sick 1.00

00:59:40.420 too, but that is awesome. That's amazing. Dude. That's how the fucking house is. I live

00:59:44.240 in dude. That house I live in. I used to drive up and down that street when I was 16 years

00:59:49.080 old, dude. Yeah. When I was 15, 16 years old, I would drive up and down that street and

00:59:54.240 be like, fuck dude. I'd like to live here one day. Like literally dude. Like I've been 0.99

00:59:58.840 looking now. I don't live in the exact house that I fucking thought I would live in. Cause 0.98

01:00:01.920 I thought I would live in the one up on the end, but that motherfuckers lived there for 1.00

01:00:04.860 like 25 years. I don't think he's leaving, but when that comes for sale, you better believe 0.99

01:00:08.980 he's fucking buying it. But the point is, is dude, another thing like this is goes in 0.97

01:00:14.020 with the hip hop shit. Like I always grew up seeing myself being a fucking rapper. Like for 1.00

01:00:19.060 real, I was like, dude, I'm going to be a fucking rapper. You know, this is going to 0.99

01:00:22.780 be it. I can remember talking on a mic. Technically listen. So my girlfriend, when I was in high

01:00:28.280 school, I remember her, like, this is when this is like, I graduated in like 97. So this

01:00:33.000 is when like bad boy was at his fucking peak. Like, you know, it was, uh, you know, Diddy 0.99

01:00:38.580 and fucking Mace and like the whole family. Right. And I'm like huge into that. I love that 0.99

01:00:43.480 whole thing. And dude, I'd be listening to Mace every fucking day in the car and his Harlem 0.98

01:00:49.680 world album. And, uh, dude, I tell, I tell, uh, my girlfriend be like, yeah, dude, I'm gonna be a 0.97

01:00:55.000 fucking rapper. And she'd be like, well, you better get fucking started. You know, these blah, 0.99

01:00:58.780 blah, blah. And like, she would always like not discourage me, but like kind of like, you can't

01:01:05.080 do that. Right. And so I'm like, fuck, I guess I can't. And I like kind of gave up on that dream.

01:01:08.960 But what's funny is that like literally 20 years later that I had visualized that my whole fucking 0.93

01:01:15.680 life from when I was a little kid to when I was about 20 years old, 20 years later. Now I go 0.96

01:01:22.760 and I fucking speak and I actually get paid more than what most rappers make to fucking speak in 0.99

01:01:28.600 front of people. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. So like, I might not be rapping, but I'm literally 0.99

01:01:33.640 doing almost the exact same thing and I'm earning more money. And like, dude, these people don't

01:01:39.600 realize like you, they don't pay attention. You know, you might not get exactly what you think,

01:01:46.100 but you're going to get fucking close if you pay attention. You know what I mean? And like, 0.78

01:01:50.340 dude, I can think back to almost every area of my life, dude, the fucking cars I own, the fucking 0.99

01:01:54.000 place I live, you know, everything. Like, it's just, I'm just a total believer, man. Like, I just, 0.99

01:02:00.840 I think it's the biggest thing that people don't do.

01:02:02.940 This conversation went somewhere we were not expecting.

01:02:05.740 Yeah. I thought, I think it's also interesting that if you look at Andy's posts, his, the

01:02:10.520 way he writes, it's very lyrical. Like even the way that things are spaced out, it's like,

01:02:16.400 yeah, right. I get told that a lot. I get guys saying that all the time. Dude, you're

01:02:20.840 spitting bars. Dude, you're spitting bars. Yeah. Like, you know, and then I get the motherfuckers 0.93

01:02:26.120 who cry cause I say the F word and it's like, dude, get the fuck off my page. Like I'm not 1.00

01:02:30.520 your fucking guy. Like if you get offended by the word fuck, I am not your fucking guy. 1.00

01:02:36.480 That's just the way it is, you know? But dude, I listen, I think, I think all, all of that 1.00

01:02:44.240 is, is amazing. I mean, dude, now you're dude, you're, you're 130 pounds overweight. Now you're

01:02:53.260 doing Ironman, you're biking across the country. Tell people about that.

01:02:56.440 Yeah. So the Ironman is coming up in two and a half weeks and, uh, it's in New Zealand

01:03:03.380 and, um, that's going to be cool. It is. Oh, I'm so excited. Yeah. So I've been training

01:03:08.680 really hard, even though like I'm super slow. Um, I want, I also like, like to tell people

01:03:16.400 why I chose the rocket. Um, because people just think of a rocket as something that's

01:03:22.220 like fast. And I chose the rocket as like my symbolism because to me, like a rocket is

01:03:29.160 like, it starts off really, really slow. And at the beginning, it like, doesn't even feel

01:03:35.040 like it's going anywhere. And, um, you're using all this force and it almost seems impossible,

01:03:41.380 but you know, hindsight 2020, we know how rockets work. Oh yeah. It starts off slow. Then it gets

01:03:46.300 fast. And if we just know that with anything we're doing, and if we act like a rocket and

01:03:52.100 whether it's a business, uh, starts off slow and push really, really, really hard or fitness

01:03:58.000 too, man, fitness, pretty much everything. It starts off just like a rocket. And I, I created

01:04:04.900 this theory. I call it the law of 62. And, um, I broke it down scientifically, uh, with, um,

01:04:13.680 like my artists that I managed. And, um, just like, just like with a rocket is 62 miles to

01:04:21.400 outer space. And when you get to outer space, it gets really easy, less effort, fast speed.

01:04:27.960 So I wanted to see if this proved true with my artists. So my first artist, Travis Porter

01:04:32.520 and my second artist, 2 Chainz. When did we get our first hit record? How many songs did

01:04:38.760 we release? It was between 60 and 70 before we got our first top 10 record. That's crazy.

01:04:44.380 Then I went back to how many times I ran before I was able to do my first marathon

01:04:49.060 between 60 and 70 runs. The law of 62 is just a true thing in the world. Um, and, and, and, uh,

01:05:00.260 it happens a lot with YouTube content creators, 62 videos about a year, you know, like that consistent.

01:05:06.440 Right. And, um, that's why I chose the rocket.

01:05:09.880 Fuck dude, I like that. 1.00

01:05:11.080 Yeah, it's good. 1.00

01:05:11.700 It's dude. And I'm sitting here like going through scenarios in my head. I'm like,

01:05:16.040 it's actually, you know, it's, it's applicable to things like YouTube. I mean, it's, you're

01:05:22.320 not going to be in business for 62 days and make a million dollars, but for certain things

01:05:27.180 it, it, it works. Right. Yeah.

01:05:29.260 Maybe it could be 62 weeks. Maybe it could be 62 months, 62 knows before. Yes.

01:05:33.680 Yeah. I mean, dude, it, it's definitely, I get it. I like it. Yeah. So the Ironman.

01:05:40.440 I'm, I'm trying to think if that applies to, I'm thinking of the numbers of the successful

01:05:44.620 podcasts. I think the podcasts, the ones that are successful power through for about seven

01:05:51.000 months. I think that's the cutoff. Most podcasts don't get past six or seven months. So that'd

01:05:55.080 be, yeah. If you went every week, that'd be, that'd be pretty close to, I'm bad at math.

01:06:00.540 So, but yeah, the point is I, yeah. Yeah. Love 62. Like it.

01:06:06.480 So I've been able to, to overcome all my, my food problems and like the, the drama, it's

01:06:13.100 kind of like a docu drama, like the OJ Simpson trials of dieting is my life. Um, but when I

01:06:21.260 learned that it was like, when I'm going up, just don't come back down and start over.

01:06:24.800 Like I have to keep going up without coming back down. So I was finally able to master

01:06:30.160 that Ironman coming up. When I get done with the Ironman, um, in April, I'm going to start

01:06:37.000 biking across the country, uh, with my best friend Scott. And I want to find all the other

01:06:41.560 second chance stories like mine, because I know a lot of people don't know how to document

01:06:45.800 their stories like I do. And I know there's way better stories than mine that exist. So I'm

01:06:51.180 going to bike across the country and do these motivational speaking rallies and these 5k,

01:06:55.680 10k runs as we're biking. And, um, like, uh, I want Nike to get behind me when you come

01:07:02.220 through the Midwest, bro. Can't wait. Yeah, for sure. Can't wait. So after that, after

01:07:08.100 we bike across the country, make the documentary, um, I'm doing this thing where I'm going to

01:07:13.220 create a new American tradition that exists as long as this country is here. I'm lighting

01:07:22.100 a torch in New York on July 4th, and I'm going to have Americans come together to exercise,

01:07:30.060 to get this torch across the country. And it's going to happen every single year, bringing

01:07:34.260 us together to exercise positivity. Um, I'm, I think I'm going to call it, uh, unite the dream

01:07:40.100 tour. And every year on July 4th, there's going to be people in wheelchairs, former presidents,

01:07:46.980 celebrities, athletes. I mean, everybody's going to carry this torch and we're going to

01:07:52.800 get it across the country from New York to California. And there's going to be the most

01:07:57.120 amazing stories that are told out of it. That's awesome, dude. So that's 2018 in the life

01:08:03.040 of Charlie. That's awesome, man. That's awesome. But I mean, aside from that, what are you going

01:08:08.920 to do? No, dude, what's beautiful about this is that, you know, Charlie's a smart guy, but

01:08:18.040 because his intentions are pure for what he's trying to do, tell the stories, all that shit, 0.86

01:08:23.120 there's going to be business opportunities that come along from this, whatever, you know 0.97

01:08:28.240 what I mean? How, whatever, when you do things for the right reasons to help people to spread

01:08:32.660 the right, the right messages, there's always going to be opportunities. You know, Charlie's

01:08:37.740 retired. He's going to have to worry about money. But if you decided you wanted to do

01:08:41.140 something off of that, it's going to be there. You know what I mean? Well, that's what people

01:08:44.400 don't understand is like when you try to like manipulate the whole process around how much 0.99

01:08:49.200 money I'm going to make, you end up with a, with a poison fucking model. You end up with 0.99

01:08:54.000 something that's like, dude, that's why I like even artists, like the best fucking rappers, 0.97

01:08:58.780 the best artists there. Do they enjoy the money in the life? Fuck yeah, they do. But the reality 0.94

01:09:04.140 is, is dude, they're into the music. If you like know them, they're into the fucking music. 1.00

01:09:09.160 Like Kendrick Lamar, for example, you could tell he cares about the music. He could care 0.99

01:09:14.000 less about the sponsorship deals.

01:09:15.680 Right. And he's also, you know, making some of the best fucking money and the best music. 0.97

01:09:20.420 That's right. 0.97

01:09:20.980 You know, but that comes from a focus on, on the product. And like, I don't know, man,

01:09:26.440 it's frustrating for me because we hit, I have so many people that are like, what should I do?

01:09:30.520 Like I had a guy message me last night. He's like, dude, what should I do? I've got,

01:09:33.860 you know, he is, I'm, I want to be a surgeon and I want to help people. I want to do this,

01:09:37.880 but I've got seven more years of school left. And before I make any money and I'm like, bro,

01:09:44.120 seven years is nothing for if you truly want to fucking be a surgeon for the reasons that you 0.89

01:09:49.420 say you want to be, it's nothing. You know what I mean? It's not about the money. And like when 0.98

01:09:54.300 people are broke, it's hard to hear that message. It's not about the money. Cause you're like,

01:09:57.800 fuck dude, what am I going to eat next? But, but you should listen to people who are making good 0.99

01:10:03.040 money and have made good money that when you focus on doing a great fucking job and producing a great 0.85

01:10:08.940 product, impacting people, solving a problem in a great way, the money's always there. It's always 0.91

01:10:14.120 there. And the intentions, you know, try hard to separate your intentions. Like, dude, it's always

01:10:20.080 natural to have selfish intentions. Like, like dude, nobody's going to have pure intentions. Like it's

01:10:26.780 just a fucking impossible. It's human nature to be somewhat selfish, you know, like that's okay. 0.99

01:10:32.700 That doesn't mean you're fucking wrong, but try as hard as you can to remove your selfish intentions

01:10:37.740 from the purity of your plan. And now you're going to have real purpose, you know, and if you have 0.83

01:10:43.440 real purpose and you can, you can remove yourself as much as you can from the gain that you're going

01:10:48.420 to get out of it, your product's going to be that much better. And people are going to resonate

01:10:51.680 with that much more. You think I don't enjoy making money, changing people's lives and fucking 0.99

01:10:56.340 helping people lose weight and fuck. Yeah. I love making money. Fucking love it. But when I'm 1.00

01:11:00.880 sitting down thinking about first form and what I'm going to offer and this and that, 0.97

01:11:04.000 and how I'm thinking 100%, how am I going to fucking help people get results? How am I going 0.95

01:11:09.780 to help people feel better? How am I going to help people change their lives? I'm not thinking about

01:11:13.780 how am I going to sell them the shit so I can fucking make some money on the back end that that's 1.00

01:11:19.140 what everybody fucks up, especially in our industry. They're like, dude, how are you building this 0.99

01:11:23.620 amazing culture? Because I fucking care. I care more about the result than I do care about the 0.99

01:11:28.040 money. I understand that if I produce the best result and I can separate my selfish feelings from

01:11:33.280 from that aspect of the business and do just the best I can for other people that the money will

01:11:38.640 always be there, you know? And, and dude, it's, it's a hard thing to do when you're starting out

01:11:44.320 and get it. But the quicker you can grasp that concept and put it in play, the quicker you're not

01:11:48.840 going to have any worries about money. And it's okay to do both. Like in my life,

01:11:54.300 I started off in hip hop and I was just like a consumer. Like I was just like hip hop is just

01:11:59.920 about making money and entertaining people. And that was a chapter in my life. So it's okay

01:12:05.160 to have those chapters as long as people are listening to what you just said and know that

01:12:10.560 there is another chapter too. Right. You know, like, wow, like, okay, I've got to make money to survive.

01:12:15.700 I had to get out of my mom's basement and make a living and like be a man. And then it's like,

01:12:22.460 okay. And that's why I like listening to you and learning the business knowledge and all those

01:12:26.140 things. And what you just said is so valuable for people because not many business people say that.

01:12:31.440 Right, dude. Well, people try to go one or the other. Like I see a lot of people and I'm not going

01:12:36.460 to name names who are quote unquote gurus and try to pretend like they're fucking holier than thou. 0.99

01:12:41.860 And like, you know, all I want to do is impact people when I know the motherfuckers personally. 0.99

01:12:48.120 And guess what we talk about whenever we talk, we talk about fucking money. You know what I'm 0.99

01:12:51.880 saying? Like, it's okay to be about money. Just try to be about money less than you are about

01:12:56.640 impacting people. You know what I mean? Uh, that's, I don't know. That's for me, that's what the key

01:13:02.960 is. And like, dude, I don't have any shame about the money I make because dude, when I look at like

01:13:06.560 the transform transformations that we've provided and the lives that we've helped create and the 0.99

01:13:11.660 improve, I'm like, fuck dude. Yeah. I feel like I've earned the money more than anybody. Yeah. 0.99

01:13:17.660 You know what I mean? Like what's getting your life back worth? Yeah. I can tell you this when I was

01:13:24.340 350 pounds, what, when you were 130 pounds overweight, what would you have paid to fucking know for sure 0.95

01:13:29.820 that you were going to be able to lose it? Oh my God. I would have paid fucking every dollar I had 0.98

01:13:34.120 and sold everything I had to know that I could do it. Yeah. You know what I mean? And it would 0.99

01:13:39.060 have been worth it. 100%. Yeah. Because money didn't matter when you felt like you're about to

01:13:44.400 die. That's right. There's no point in living. Right. I would trade it all. That's right. I would

01:13:48.000 too. And dude, you don't have to trade all. That's the good thing. But dude, my point in saying that

01:13:52.320 is, dude, we're helping people with something of real value. So I feel good. Like I, I know for sure

01:13:57.940 the more money we make, the fucking better job we're doing at changing people's lives. And I feel good 0.95

01:14:02.460 about that. You know what I mean? So like, and a lot of people feel bad about money. That's a

01:14:06.960 whole nother thing that keeps you from getting it. Yeah. Like they feel bad about it. They feel

01:14:10.700 like, Oh, they want that dude in their heart. They're like, fuck, I like money. But out in public, 1.00

01:14:15.260 they're saying shit like, well, all I want to do is impact people. Like I don't really care about the 0.98

01:14:19.460 money. And they're saying that dude, if you fucking say that and you don't mean it, you're never going to 0.98

01:14:23.160 make any money. I still struggle with that. Like dude, with, with me retiring, like I, I don't have that much 0.99

01:14:30.320 money. Um, you know, like, you know, people look at hip hop, like all this, all this money. I just

01:14:36.800 live frugally. They make a lot of money for a short period of time. And with me retiring, I was just

01:14:43.460 like, okay, I've got a, I've got a nice little saving. I had to scale back on my expenses, but

01:14:48.880 with me doing what I'm doing, I still get really, really stressed about money and have to be careful

01:14:53.640 about that because it's what I'm thinking about is like even little things like coming here, like,

01:14:58.620 it was like, Oh, I gotta buy the flight. Like that's good. Every little thing. See, I don't

01:15:03.360 have, I'm the fucking opposite about that. You're just like, swipe. I'm terrible. I'm the worst 0.97

01:15:08.200 fucking spender on the face of the earth. Oh, so yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm working internally on not 0.99

01:15:14.640 stressing about money because for the first time in my life, I not making money. Right. So I know

01:15:22.060 we'll come. I know good things are going to come. Um, but you know, it's, it's what you said,

01:15:27.500 like, like, don't think about money negatively. What you're doing right now is going to be so

01:15:33.400 much bigger than what you've already done from a financial standpoint. It's just, you know,

01:15:38.040 you might not have the plan exactly in place right now and I'm sure you do, but let's just say you

01:15:42.900 did it. It's dude impacting people on a massive scale like that is where the opportunities are

01:15:49.120 going to be anyway. You know? So yeah, I mean, just keep doing what you're doing and if nothing,

01:15:54.060 if nothing else, all the, all the motivational people are the motivational, uh, people looking

01:15:59.800 for motivational speakers will find you. This has been one of my favorite shows we've done.

01:16:03.520 Yeah. No bullshit. Oh fuck. Yeah. Yeah. Awesome. I've had the biggest fucking names that you can 0.97

01:16:10.060 have. So, well, cause I mean, you're an unusual guy, like in a good way. Yeah. Interesting is what 0.99

01:16:16.040 I was going to say. Yeah. Like it's an interesting conversation and it's not the typical fucking,

01:16:20.460 oh, I started this business and I made this and I do like, dude, we're talking about core beliefs 0.95

01:16:25.020 here. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? I resonate with like how you feel about things. And I like

01:16:29.220 that because not many people totally grasp it. Like a lot of people will say they grasp it,

01:16:35.080 but when you're saying shit that I haven't even expressed about myself and I'm like, that's exactly 0.99

01:16:40.360 how I fucking think. I know it's real. You know what I mean? And dude, I dig that. Like I try to 0.97

01:16:45.260 communicate that the best I can to people about how to think. And, but I think you're doing a better job,

01:16:49.840 dude, than I am. Like you're saying, like what you said about creating a character and all that,

01:16:53.780 like, that's how it is. I just didn't ever communicate it like that, you know? Cause

01:16:57.820 it sounds at surface level, it sounds inauthentic. It sounds like I'm trying to manipulate how people

01:17:02.980 perceive me, but that's not what it is. You're deciding on the inside who you are and then you're

01:17:08.400 becoming that and you're free to make that choice. People just don't ever feel like they are because

01:17:13.360 they feel like they have to have external permission from whoever to make those decisions. And guess

01:17:19.040 what? The one place you don't have to have anybody's permission is who the fuck you decide 0.99

01:17:23.020 to be. You know what I mean? I like that. Yeah. I don't want to forget your social media. You're 0.99

01:17:29.880 on Instagram as just at Charlie, right? Charlie. C-H-A-R-L-I-E. Yes. And then guys, we're going

01:17:37.340 to also post a couple links to your videos. Like I think your, your Nike, your Nike athlete video.

01:17:45.380 And then, uh, your life story. I think you gave me a link to your life. You guys need

01:17:49.280 to be following this guy. Like seriously. Um, I'm excited about what you got going on,

01:17:55.140 man. And any way that we can help or help support it or I can help support it. I'm definitely

01:17:59.620 in on that. Like dude, we're dude, helping people get those kinds of changes going because

01:18:05.480 I've experienced them myself. Dude, that's dude, that's my fucking passion. You know what I'm 0.99

01:18:09.720 saying? Like not just on this entrepreneur show, but in fitness as well. You know what I mean?

01:18:13.680 Like it's, it's what matters to me more than anything. So like, dude, I'm totally down

01:18:19.800 with however we can help with anything that you're doing. Thank you, man. I'm sure, I'm

01:18:24.080 sure we'll be doing a lot. Yeah. I'm so glad to have Metro. Yeah. Definitely. You guys

01:18:29.920 make sure you're following them at Charlie C-H-A-R-L-I-E on IG. Um, check, check out his

01:18:36.960 YouTubes. I want to say one thing. Um, uh, I, um, if there's like the reason

01:18:43.660 the reason why I'm ultimately doing this, um, or even like doing interviews is because

01:18:49.280 when I was in a really, really, really bad state, I didn't feel like I had anybody I

01:18:54.220 could personally talk to. And I've kind of like sacrificed a lot of my time and I

01:19:00.800 responded every email. Like if somebody is in a rock bottom state, like I do encourage

01:19:06.180 them to email me, like don't waste my time. But if you are in a rock bottom state, like my

01:19:11.260 email is CEO charlie at gmail.com. Email me. I like, I'm here to talk to people who are

01:19:19.120 in that place because when I was there, like there was nobody like me. So I wanted to be

01:19:27.100 that person for somebody else. There was people like you, but they're people that are like

01:19:31.280 you aren't talking about it. That's the difference. You know what you find when you're in those

01:19:36.700 dark places because you're, you're, you're in a mentally negative place. You're beating

01:19:42.260 the shit out of yourself every day. You're, you're thinking like, dude, I'm the worst. 0.99

01:19:47.460 Nobody's like me. Nobody understands it. I'm a piece of shit. And you're telling yourself

01:19:51.040 all this stuff. And the truth is, is really, dude, you're just another human going through

01:19:55.740 some shit, like all of us. And it's that fear of like on both sides, like the people who 0.95

01:20:02.100 are going through it don't want to talk about it. And the people who have gone through it

01:20:05.800 don't talk about it enough. You know what I mean? So there's not enough of a bridge there

01:20:09.540 to really feel like people have anybody. So I think that's fucking amazing that you're doing 0.96

01:20:14.340 that, man, because I know people need it. I, if I could, I would do that too. It would 0.85

01:20:20.000 be impossible for me to do. I think I have a little bit extra time compared to you.

01:20:24.580 I appreciate it, brother. Thanks for coming out here and being on the show, man.

01:20:27.740 Yeah, man. Thank you for having me on. It was amazing to meet y'all.

01:20:30.740 Yeah. Likewise. All right, guys, if you enjoyed the show, if you liked the show, which I know

01:20:35.540 you did, make sure you bring us a friend. All right. Talk to you guys next time.
