In this episode of the MF CEO Project, we talk about one of the biggest problems I see with society right now, and how we have to do something about it. We have to stop teaching our kids that they are special because they are born, and instead teach them how to think so that they can become successful in life.

00:00:00.000 what is up guys you're listening to the MF CEO project I'm Andy I'm your host and I am the 0.95
00:00:11.520 motherfucking CEO guys we just had a podcast yesterday Thursday Thunder today we're gonna 0.75
00:00:17.920 have Friday fire I don't know if we've ever actually done that before we've had one two 0.97
00:00:21.360 back-to-back in the same week but I figured since I missed Tuesday's podcast I try to give you guys
00:00:26.720 something a little extra for Friday this is your first time tuning in guys this is called the MF CEO
00:00:34.020 project for a reason we live in a society nowadays that refuses to take responsibility is offended by
00:00:42.840 everything has become very soft very delicate little special snowflakes because for the last 15-20 years
00:00:52.440 the world has told them that they are special because they are born and you know what that's
00:00:58.920 just not true okay we talk a lot on this podcast about idealism versus realism and you know what
00:01:06.500 it's nice to think about us being all special little flowers and having all you know the great
00:01:14.180 things of the world just to come to us because we're born but that's not the truth okay and in my opinion
00:01:21.540 we have an obligation I say we because this is a movement this isn't a uh this isn't just a podcast
00:01:29.980 if you're listening to this podcast it's because you believe in certain values and we have an
00:01:35.720 obligation to correct the strategies that have polluted our youth for the last 20 years okay and one of
00:01:45.040 them being that they think that because they're born they are somehow entitled to things that come with life
00:01:57.040 that are great all right you don't get to be 20 years old and all of a sudden you know become a millionaire 0.98
00:02:03.900 and become rich and famous and all this shit that our parents tell us growing up well they didn't tell me 0.57
00:02:11.040 but they're telling these kids now you know what happens when you tell a kid they're special they're 0.99
00:02:16.020 unique they're they're the fucking masters of the universe and then all of a sudden they get 20 years 0.99
00:02:21.880 old they go out into reality and they get the fucking head stomped in we're not doing them any favors we're 0.99
00:02:28.100 not doing the next generation any favors and if you're a parent listening to this keep this in mind 0.99
00:02:34.040 prepare your kids that's our fucking job okay our job is to prepare the next generation to do better 0.95
00:02:42.400 than we did and that that's that goes for you being a ceo you being a manager you being an employee 0.99
00:02:48.980 you are an influencer of other people no matter what position you rank on the totem pole and your job
00:02:55.280 is to help people understand what it takes to succeed and that starts by you understanding it 0.85
00:03:01.920 all right and i want to address one of the biggest fucking problems that i see with society right 0.95
00:03:08.260 now okay and i see this in your comments i see this when i look at you guys you guys who are 0.98
00:03:15.780 listening to this podcast all right this is going to be a kick in the nuts for some of you guys
00:03:20.680 you guys you know we're starting our youtube show and if you haven't gone and checked uh started
00:03:26.520 subscribing to our youtube channel it's andy frisella we're going to do the frisella factor we're in
00:03:31.860 the process of refining the show so that we can get it launched we have a website that's asked the
00:03:37.700 mf ceo where you can go and submit questions now i want your questions i want to answer your questions
00:03:46.480 i want to get specific to help you but there's one thing that you need to understand about becoming
00:03:53.800 successful in life and this is where the shift in the education process i feel has really handicapped
00:04:01.640 our current generation of 20 to 25 year olds in the last 20 years okay and that is this point
00:04:11.220 your goal when learning your goal when consuming content your goal when looking for a mentor your goal
00:04:19.960 when looking for someone to help you succeed is not to go out and learn what to think
00:04:27.180 your goal should be to learn how to think and there's a big difference between the two becoming
00:04:36.520 successful in life is going to require you to observe situations and make the appropriate decisions on your 0.94
00:04:45.280 own it's not going to require you to think like a fucking robot and do exactly as what somebody else 0.97
00:04:54.140 tells you the right way to think is and if you look at our schooling system and if you look at our 0.98
00:04:59.160 education system whether it be grade school high school college if you look at our media it's all
00:05:06.300 changed it used to be we learned the things that were fact without anybody's opinion on the matter
00:05:15.760 and we took those things and we made decisions on our own they when i grew up i was taught how to
00:05:23.300 think i was given the tools and then told to make a decision i was giving the information and i was told
00:05:30.000 to analyze it that is no longer the case the case now is that you have the schools telling people what to
00:05:38.100 think telling them what they should think and if they think anything outside this box they're doing
00:05:45.100 something wrong or they're offensive or they're weak or there's they're a neanderthal or they're a terrorist 0.66
00:05:53.420 okay look your job is to to consume information so that you can arm yourselves with the tools so that you
00:06:04.560 can make better decisions your job is not to get my approval or anybody else's approval your teachers 0.99
00:06:13.760 your parents fucking warren buffett bill it doesn't fucking matter your job is not to get their approval 0.96
00:06:20.680 on every decision that's worker bee mentality and if you're trying to build a career for yourself 0.99
00:06:26.180 you're trying to be successful you're trying to grow if you are constantly looking for validation
00:06:32.460 from someone up the chain you're not actually an entrepreneur you're not actually becoming
00:06:38.760 successful you are just taking what someone else decides and you're putting that into play all you
00:06:45.760 are is a link in a chain and that's not what you want to be you need to be a creator you need to be
00:06:51.500 someone who solves problems you need to be someone who makes things easier you need to be someone who
00:06:56.620 makes value to everybody around them and that doesn't happen by learning what to think
00:07:03.900 it happens by learning how to strategize how to analyze and how to make a decision based on the facts
00:07:11.420 presented to you you know we look at the media nowadays guys it's no longer hey uh four dudes were shot on
00:07:19.700 the corner tonight it's oh uh four black dudes were shot on the corner and this has to do with uh
00:07:26.660 racism against the black people from police it's like okay uh but the the the black the cops that shot 0.90
00:07:36.540 these four black dudes were black so they leave that that out because they're trying to manipulate our 0.99
00:07:42.880 process of how we perceive information so that we are actually in a situation where they're controlling 1.00
00:07:49.540 our thoughts all right and that's no way trying to open up some discussion about fucking race if 1.00
00:07:55.860 you email me in or comment on it i'm gonna fucking block you because you're you got a mental fucking 1.00
00:08:01.100 disorder if that's what you think i'm using it purely as an example pay attention listen to what people say 1.00
00:08:08.740 okay watch how they communicate with you watch the information are these people actually teaching you
00:08:16.240 are they teaching you information are they arming you with the tools are they giving you the things
00:08:20.780 you need to succeed or are they telling you exactly what you should think and you should become aware of
00:08:28.580 this guys take a step back when you hear a teacher when you hear uh uh uh you know an authority figure
00:08:35.620 when you hear uh the news when you are sitting in a class or you're reading a book or you're this or that
00:08:42.700 you should be aware enough and be able to separate yourselves from the perspective of that person
00:08:49.540 and and absorb the information without absorbing their opinions on the information
00:08:54.740 that's when you begin to learn how to think and a lot of us guys you know we just aren't thinking
00:09:02.580 all right because i can see by the questions you guys are asking me questions that you should be making
00:09:08.160 the decision on your own the only way you get better in life the only way you progress in life 1.00
00:09:13.100 the only way that you improve in life is by making decisions and fucking shit up you know you guys are 0.99
00:09:20.480 so afraid to make a mistake that you want to get everything right all the time and that's not what 0.99
00:09:25.860 success is about guys success is clearly and and ultimately about making fucking mistakes learning from 0.96
00:09:34.800 your mistakes being able to own that you made those mistakes and moving on as fast as possible 0.95
00:09:39.980 to the next opportunity and you can't do that if you're so afraid to make a mistake or always trying
00:09:47.620 to make the right thing happen you know when i make a mistake in life it's not because i don't get
00:09:53.020 bummed about it i say hey you know what i fucked up i'm not going to do that again and then i feel good 0.95
00:09:57.740 because i know that like hey i just learned something valuable you know and you guys need to start 0.86
00:10:02.240 adopting that mindset but that starts with with with how you're learning okay and you need to ask
00:10:09.240 yourself are you reading a book and then all of a sudden adopting every single thing that that book
00:10:14.480 says as gospel for your whole entire life if you if that's you you're conditioned to learn what to think
00:10:21.860 are you reading a book and then you're saying oh you know what that was an interesting perspective
00:10:26.880 i like this point i like this point i like this point i didn't agree with this point this point and this
00:10:31.560 point okay if that's you you know how to think all right and that should be the goal so guys let's
00:10:41.520 check ourselves let's let's think let's think about how we're learning let's think about are we learning
00:10:47.460 and are we looking to for guidance because we want to learn how we should think or are we looking
00:10:54.180 because we want approval of some sort because i'm going to tell you right now no matter how many times
00:11:00.180 you you ask for approval if you even if like you ask me you call me on the phone hey andy should i do
00:11:06.020 this blah blah blah and i tell you yes and you make all the right decisions at the end of the day you
00:11:10.300 haven't fucking improved at all you may be making money you may be winning but you haven't developed the 0.98
00:11:16.660 fucking skill and the skill is where the value is that's the insurance that's the thing that's going to 0.99
00:11:22.220 carry you through when you fucking build a business lose a business build another business lose that 1.00
00:11:28.620 business build another business through your entire fucking life okay you want the skill you don't want 0.99
00:11:34.680 the result and the only way that you can fucking get the skill is by consistently checking yourself 0.99
00:11:41.320 and asking yourself am i thinking for myself or am i thinking because this mentor or this quote 0.99
00:11:48.620 unquote expert or this internet fucking fake ass entrepreneur is telling me this is how i should 0.98
00:11:53.800 think at the end of the day guys here's the deal okay there's two groups of people there's the people 0.99
00:11:59.860 who have learned how to think on their own and make analytic strategic decisions over and over and over
00:12:06.280 again based on the inputs that they're given and then there's the people who have learned to be told
00:12:10.660 what to do and what to think and they've absorbed all the information exactly it's been told to them and they 0.97
00:12:16.100 become a fucking robot and i'm going to tell you at the end of the day when scores been settled and 0.94
00:12:20.440 when things are all on the table and the results have been proven it's going to be the people who 1.00
00:12:25.120 have learned how to think on their own and make decisions on their own that are in charge of all 0.99
00:12:29.980 the other motherfuckers that have only learned what to think 1.00
00:12:32.980 you 1.00
